Now onto the next chapter. Here we see what happened to our world-travellking friends.
You may just hit some nostalgia from my previous stories, the original videogames, and more.
I'm sorry it took over a month for this again. I've been busy again with other storties, life, and trying to figure THIS specific chapter out.
Enjoy!
It had been oen day since Zira's defeat. The Outsiders were now part of Simba's Pride.
But the world's keyhole hadn't ben uncovered yet so Sora and his friends were sticking around until then.
Right now, they were lounging in the lair of the Lion Guard while Simba and his Pride hunted.
"Hopefully Kiara gets her solo hunt again soon." said Kairi.
"I'm sure she will now that Simba's calmed down frome everything." said Mickey.
"I'm glad the Outsiders came to their senses and left Zira." said Daisy.
"Shame she and Nuka didn't do the same." muttered Myde.
"Some villains can see right ftom wrong in the end while others can't." Isa said.
"Well at least they aren't a problem anymore." said Sora. He looked at the painting of Kion and his Lion Guard. "I hope Kion is ok… him and the Guard."
"Aw don't worry Sora, I'm sure they'll come back soon." smiled Mickey.
"The Tree of Life is a long ways away." said Xion.
"Won't they be surprised there was a big fight in the Pride Lands they missed when they do return." quipped Lea.
"Speaking of which, does anyone know what happened during that battle?" asked Oswald.
All the Keybearers turned to him.
"I mean, one moment we were either fighting Zira and her pride and the next moment there was a bright flash and we found ourselves in another world… and in the past?" the rabbit king elaborated.
"Now that you mention it… there were those bright flashes of light that happened in the middle of the battle with the Outsiders." said Ortensia.
"Gawrsh, it was pretty weird." said Goofy.
"Where did you guys end up going?" asked Sora. "I ended up in this strange but pretty cool world. I wasn't sure if it was in the past or the future no matter what the building designs were."
Flashbacks, during the time Sora and Co. were zapped to different worlds and points in time:
Daybreak Town:
Sora, back in human form, fell onto the ground in surprise. He slowly got up and was shocked by his surroundings.
There were many small village budilings in various colors of white and cream. It looked like an old fashioned town. There was also a castle behind it with a clock embedded in it.
"Whoa! Where am I?" Sora asked in surprise.
Sora looked around the town. This sure wasn't the Pride Lands. But why was he here? And back as a human no less? He then accidentally ran into a teenager and they both fell on the ground.
"Oh sorry!" Sora exclaimed as he helped the teenager up. He had curly, silver hair and cyan eyes. He wore a white shirt under a black vest with grey accents, dark grey pants, and black boots, a red scarf around his neck, and a tan pouch around his waist.
"Hey no it's ok. You must be new here." the teenager said.
"Uh yeah I am… I just don't know where exactly." Sora replied.
"Oh you're in Daybreak Town." the teenager replied. "If you want you can check out the town for any help. There are a lot of people. I'd help, but I'm meeting up with my friend Skuld for something."
"Got it." Sora nodded. "Thank you, um…"
"Ephemer." he said. "Take care in town."
"Thanks ." smiled Sora.
Sora and Ephemer went their separate ways.
Sora arrived in the town square where to his surprise, a bunch of people had gathered. They all woree similar style clothes like his. He wanted to ask anyone if they could help him, but saw that they were all listening to someone.
Standing in front of the town fountain was a girl whose face was hidden under a white fox mask that had a blue trim. She wore a pink, hooded cloak decorated with light green tassels and covered a white robe, light purple shirt, and light purple sash.
"Today you're here—to continue with your training for our mission. This session may seem like it's familiar to you, but in a world that is different, one made of dreams... You are our hope. A war will soon wage. Those who strive to protect the light will turn their weapons on their allies for the sake of loyalty to their own Unions. To be honest, I don't know how far I can guide all of you. What you must remember is that anyone can lose themselves to the darkness. However, there will be no winners; everything will be lost. Except all of you who are the seeds of hope. When the time comes, and there is war, you mustn't fight but instead you must fly away from here to the world outside. This training is to help you fulfill this crucial task. The future is in all your hands—as is the world's light. May your heart be your guiding key." she told them.
Sora was amazed. "Wow… what a speech…"
"Yeah Master Ava is good at them." said a boy.
"We're glad she's the Dandelion' leader." said a girl.
"Dandelions?" Sora blinked. "Master… like Keyblade Master?"
"Yeah she's a Keyblade Master." said another boy.
"And one of the five foretellers under the Master of Masters." said a non-binary Dandelion member. "So ancient and amazing in our books."
"Master of Masters?" Sora asked, confused. "Who-?"
Suddenly a bright flash took Sora away. The kids around him gasped, causing the other Dandelions to look at them… along with Ava.
"What's wrong?" she asked. "Is someone hurt?'
"There was this guy right here!" said another girl.
"And he just disappeared!" said the second boy.
"In a bright flash of light!" the first boy chimed in.
Ava blinked under her mask in bewilderment. "How strange…" she remarked.
Beast's Castle:
The last thing Riku remembered was fighting the Outsider lionesses. And all of a sudden there was a bright flash and he ended up in a castle.
"What the hell? Where am I?" he asked.
Riku looked closer at his surroundings. Then he recognized the carpet floor, the walls, and the night statues, and various parts of the decor.
"Hold on… this is the Beast's castle…" Riku realized. "But wait, why am I here? I should be in the Pride Lands."
Riku then spotted something out the window. Snowflakes blowing through the wind.
"Snow? Is it still winter here?" Riku asked in disbelief. He sighed in irritation. "This doesn't make any sense."
Riku walked down the castle halls.
"Ok backtrack… when I woke up I was in the Pride Lands as a lion… and then Sora, Myde, Simba, and Kovu were ambushed by Zira and her Outsiders… then Simba banished Kovu… and then the Outsiders attacked… then we fight… there was a flash… and now I'm here…"
"Bring me my presents!"
Riku amost jumped.
"Who the heck was that?" he asked out loud.
Deciding to investigate further, Riku went down the halls until he came to the main one.
When he cmae downstairs, he saw a bunch of people gathered around a young man with long light brown hair, a white shirt, and black pants in his early 20's on a throne. He also spotted a tall Christmas Tree nearby.
A man with brown hair approaxched the young man. "Your highness, please accept this humble gift as a token of our appreciation, I know I speak for everyone if…" he said in a familiar voice.
Riku hid behind the stairs and stared at the man in shock. "Lumière?" he whispered.
"Oh, just give it to me." the prince muttered as he snatched the book. "A storybook? You call this a present?" he asked in disbelief. He tossed it aside. "I hope you have something better for me, Forte."
Riku looked over and saw a dreary man in black clothes and a wite powdered wig at an organ.
"Yes, sir. Of course, master." he said as he played a gloomy piece on the organ.
"Forte? As a human?" Riku asked in disbelief as he remembered the giant creepy organ in Beast's room and hoe he tried to break him and Belle for his sleifsh desire to stay an object.
"What is that?" the prince demanded with a grimace.
"A-A small piece in your honor, sir." Forte replied.
"Ugh, I hate it. Forte, that stuff is gloomy." the prince huffed.
"So if that's Forte and Lumière as humans… then that prince must be Beast…" Riku murmured. "This must've been before the curse."
At that moment a door knocker sounded out.
"Who disturbs my Christmas?!" the prince shouted.
He opened the door and there stood an old woman in a dark green cloak holding a rose.
"Please take this rose in exchange for shelter from the bitter cold." she begged.
The prince sneered at the rose and scoffed. "I don't need a rose. Go away, you wretched old hag!" he said as he slammed the doors shut.
Riku's eyes then widened. "Rose… hag… Oh no…" he whispered in horror.
Suddenly there was a bright flash and a swirl of magic around the area. Riku saw that the hag had transformed into a beautiful enchantress with brown hair, glowing white yes, and a long white dress, holding the rose.
"You have been deceived by your own cold heart. A curse upon your house and all within it." she said to the prince's shock.
Riku then saw magic swirl around the human forms of Lumière, Cogsworth, Mrs. Potts, and Chip before they turned into a candelabra, clock, teapot, and teacup. He also spotted the human forms of Madame de la Grande Bouche, Fife, Axe, Angelique, and Sultan the Dog transform into a wardrobe case, piccolo, ax, Christmas angel ornament, and footstool. He even spotted Forte's human form swirl up to the prince's room to be turned into an organ.
"Until you have one to love you as you are...you shall remain forever...a beast." the enchantrtess said.
Riku then saw the prince grow fur and muscles that ripped his shirt and he gained horns, sharp teeth, and a tail as his screams turned into roars.
Riku was shocked that he was seeing the castle's curse happen before him. He then saw the enchantress' magic come near him. He held his arms up thinking he was about to be struck witht he curse when he disappeared in a flash of light.
Hollow Bastion:
Aqua uncovered her eyes from the flash of light and saw herself in a dark hallway.
"What the… where am I?" she asked in confusion.
Aqua cautiously walked around the hallway until she heard voices. She walked forward and gasped in surprise.
On the floor was a carpet with the Heartless symbol. Near some pillars with blue mists wree sleeping forms of Alice, Aurora, Belle, Cinderella, Jasmine, and Snow White in chambers.
"The original 7 hearts…" Aqua murmured in shock. "Am I… in the past?"
Aqua walked forward and up the stairs until she gasped lightly at the sight before her.
There stood Donald, Goofy… and a younger version of Sora at age 14. They stood before what looked like the Heartless symbol but it was colored red, purple, green, and dark blue surrounded by pipes. Aqua then saw a young Kairi on the ground, unmoving.
Remembering what happens when you mess with the timestream given what happened in the Castle of Dreams and the stories she heard from her friends about Hill Valley and Timeless River, Aqua hid behind the platform the four were on.
"Sora! Sora, look!" Donald called.
"The... The Keyhole!" Goofy called.
Sora looked at the keyhole and saw that it was sparking with some sort of magic electricity. He aimed Kingdom Key at it but nothing happened.
"It won't work! The Keyhole's not finished yet!" exclaimed Goofy.
Sora dismissed his Keyblade. "What can we do?"
"Maybe we've gotta go wake Kairi up." suggested Goofy.
"I think you're right." said Sora as he faced the sleeping Kairi. "If we can free her heart... But... But how?" he asked.
"Free her heart…" murmured Aqua.
She then spotted a Keyblade on the ground. It looked similar to Ansem's Keyblade, but with less detail.
Sora looked at it. An idea formed in his head. It was a risky one, but he felt like it just might work.
"A Keyblade that unlocks people's hearts... I wonder." he said out loud.
"Sora?" Goofy asked as Sora walked forwards.
He went down the stairs and picked up the Keyblade of heart.
"Sora, hold on!" Goofy cried.
"No, wait!" Donald quacked.
Aqua's eyes widened when she remembered what Sora and Kairi told her.
"Unlocks hearts… oh no…" she faintly gasped.
Sora looked back at Donald and Goofy and gave a small smile. He then turned the Keyblade around… and stabbed it into his chest as it glowed.
Aqua gasped in shock at what she just saw.
The Keyblade glowed as it moved away from Sora, glowed purple and black, and disappeared in a burst of magic, six hearts appearing from it.
Aqua watched the hearts fly down the hall and into the chests of the sleeping Princess of Heart.
"So that was how it happened…" Aqua breathed in shock.
She turned and saw a heart emerge from Sora and her eyes widened.
"Kairi's heart… it was safe inside him…" she said in remembrance.
Kairi's heart landed back inside her.
Sora smiled a little as he began to glow and the electric block for the keyhole disappeared and its magic swirled around.
Sora suddenly began to fall backwards as Donald ran up to him in terror and Goofy stared in shocked horror.
"Sora... Sora!" Donald yelled.
Kairi woke up and got up as she saw Sora fall.
"Sora!" she cried as she ran to him.
But just before Kairi could catch Sora, he disappeared into a bunch of particles of light that floated away.
Kairi could only look on sadly as she watched them go.
"Sora! Come back, Sora!" Donald screamed.
But it was to no avail. Sora was dead.
Aqua could only stare in shock and horror at the sight before her. Sora's sacrifice… to save all 7 Princess of Heart… at the cost of his own life. Images of young Sora and Kairi whens he first met them flashed in her minds. She knew Sora was alive now… but watching him die was another thing.
Before Aqua could see what happened next, a bright flash took her away.
Donald, Goofy, and Kairi didn't see her because Ansem would appear behind the three of them right then and there.
Daybreak Town:
Kairi landed against the ground as soon as the flash of light disappeared from her eyes. As she got up, she was surprised to see her human hands.
"What?... What happened?" Kairi asked in shock.
Kairi got up and looked around to see she was in a town. Just like the one Sora was in.
"What is this place?" Kairi asked as she looked around. "It looks… pretty nice…"
Kairi then spotted someone in a robe and mask walking to the town plaza.
"Huh? Who's that?" the redhead asked herself. "And what is she wearing?"
Kairi went over to the plaza and hid behind a cart when she saw the girl, Master Ava, sit down on the fountain.
"When will it stop?" Ava wondered out loud. "I don't want us to turn against each other…"
Kairi blinked in worry. "Turn against each other…?"
"Master Ava!"
Ava gasped, startled. She looked up and saw Emphemer in front of her.
"Oh. Hello! Your name is Ephemer, right?" Ava asked.
Ephemer nodded. "Uh-huh! Uh, hey, can I join you?"
"Uh-huh." was all Ava could say.
Ephemer sat down next to her. "Why the long face? Did something happen?" he asked in concern.
"Hmm... Long day…" sighed Ava. "Do you remember what you asked me before? About why the Unions compete against each other instead of working together." She paused for a moment. "Actually, I always wondered the same thing."
"Unions against each other…?" Kairi murmured.
"Huh? Isn't it just because the Master said so?" Ephemer asked.
"Yes, and as such we must obey." nodded Ava. "The Master said so, so it is. But lately I've really started to wonder. You once told me that you were looking for answers, that you wanted to solve the mysteries of this world. Well, I think that's how things should be. We need to question things and think for ourselves."
"Master… I don't like the sound of this…" murmured Kairi.
Ephemer was taken aback. "Whoa! You're really not yourself today. I guess even foretellers have their off days." he commented. He had an idea. "Hey, maybe talking about the Book will cheer you up!"
"Not a chance!" replied Ava, turning her head away.
"Awww." Ephemer pouted.
Kairi giggled. This kid sort of reminded her of Sora.
"You were trying to pull a fast one on me, weren't you?" Ava teased.
"Uh... No, no, I was joking!" Ephemer said quickly, shaking his head and holding his hands up.
"If you say so." Ava smirked. "But, to be honest, I think it would be great if all the Unions could work together and be friends."
Ephemer smiled. "You know, I made a friend from another Union today. Wasn't much of a talker, maybe just shy. We're meeting again tomorrow."
Ava smiled. "That sounds like so much fun! Then, you'd better go home and get some sleep."
"'Kay!" nodded Ephemer. He got up and began to run off. He paused and looked back at Ava. He bowed. "Well, it was nice talking to you. I don't know what's got you down, but please cheer up!" he said as he ran off, going down the stairs.
Ava smiled. She looked down. "Thank you. If the worst happens, I'll be glad to leave the future to the kids who see the world in the way that you do."
"What a nice boy…" Kairi smiled. "I think he did cheer Ava up a bit."
Kairi looked up. Dandelions floated through the sky. Ava had taken notice of this too.
"Let the wind carry you far, far away...my Dandelions." Ava said softly.
"I'm sure they will go far…" Kairi said.
"Hmm? Is someone there?" Ava suddenly asked.
Kairi stilled. That might've been a little louder than she intended.
Ava looked around as Kairi ducked back behind the alleyway.
"Who's there?" Ava called.
Kairi took a deep breath and sighed. She wasn't sure if she would be disrupting the past, but she felt bad about spying on Ava and Ephemer. Slowly, she walked out into the open.
"Um… hello." Kairi greeted. "Nice to meet you… Maser Ava."
"I don't think I've seen you around these parts." said Ava, looking the girl up and down. "Are you part of any of the Unions?"
Kairi blinked. "The… Unions…?"
Ava nodded. "Yes. All unions are lef by the Master's apprentices, the Foretellers. Invi leads the Anguis, Gula leads the Leopardus, Ira leads the Unicornis, and Aced leads the Ursus. I lead the Vulpes." she explained.
"I see… no I'm not part of any of them." Kairi replied. "I'm… new to this town."
Ava hummed in thought. "I see… were you spying on me?" she asked.
"Not intentionally." Kairi quickly said. "I overheard you talk to that boy, Ephemer, about how the unions are against each other instead of being together."
Ava sighed. "I know… I feel like we should be… but I also feel like we would be going against the Master's orders…" she said.
Kairi placed a hand on Ava's shoulder. "Well Ava… I don't wanna force you to do something you're uncomfortable with… but I would listen to your heart…" she said softly. "Let it be your guiding key. It can direct you to the answer you're looking for. And maybe, just maybe, things will work out… I can't say for certain… but you never know unless you give it a try."
Ava smiled. "Thank you… yours and Ephemer's words helped me right now… I appreciate it."
"Of course." Kairi smiled.
Ava looked back up to where the dandelions flew in the breeze. If she wasn't wearing her mask, she would've seen a flash behind her.
"May my heart be my guiding key… is that what you were trying to say-"
But when Ava turned around, Kairi was gone.
Ava was surprised. "Where did she go?" She was silent for a moment. "I guess she had to leave." She paused again, thinking of her encounter with Kairi. "Her heart… was so pure of light… nothing like I've ever sensed before…"
Dark World:
Terra didn't know what happened when he landed on the ground. And why he was suddenly placking fur and claws. And why he was on sand instead of solid ground.
"What… sand?" Terra said in confusion.
He got up and nearly fell off his feet in alarm.
Everywhere was dark and what looked like blacked rocks and trees in twisted shapes and the sun was gray.
"What… the Realm of Darkness? How did I get here?!" Terra asked in alarm.
Terra walked around, carefully keeping an eye out for anything trying to attack him.
"So far no Heartless… Unversed… or even Nobodies…" he said.
At that moment, he began to hear voices. He bent down abit and carefully crept over to a rock near a beach.
There right in front of him was Aqua… and someone a black Organization coat.
"Yes. They are quite lovely – a far cry from this wasteland." the figure said in a deep voice.
He and Aqua smiled as they faced the water again.
"Aqua… and that voice… is that…?" Terra asked in confusion.
"I'm staying. Someone will come for me." said Aqua, hope in her voice.
"These waters are the in-between of dark and light, its shores the margins of day and night." the man said as the two faced each other again. "They brought you and I together, so why not also you and another?"
Aqua smiled. "Yes." she said softly as they gazed out at the waves once again.
Terra was confused. "Aqua… in the realm of darkness…? Did… I go back in time?" he asked in confusion.
Suddenly, the two heard footsteps.
"Huh?" Who's there?" asked Aqua.
"Hmm?" asked Ansem.
Aqua and the man turned to see Ansem/Xehanort, or rather, Terra-Xehanort's Heartless stroll up to them.
"You…" gasped the man as Ansem stopped.
The two got up to face the seeker of darkness. Aqua got into a fighting stance as the man removed his hood. He had hair that was blond and worn long and slicked back. He also sported a short mustache and goatee, and his eyes were bright orange.
Terra gasped. "Ansem the Wise?!" he softly exclaimed. He narrowed his eyes as he looked in between both Ansems.
"Master, I must speak with you." said Ansem.
Ansem the Wise glared at Ansem. "'Master?' So now you mock me." he snarled.
"Do you recall those experiments of the heart you made cease?" asked Ansem, walking up to Ansem the Wise and Aqua. "Among the test subjects was a girl. She had lost her memory, just as I had." he added.
"Girl… test subject… what?" Terra said in confusion. He wasn't sure if he should interfere or not. If he was in the past, he was risking altering the future. He had heard the stories of 1955 and 1985A in Hill Valley from Sora and his friends.
"But… you can reconstruct memories. You did with Sora." added Ansem. "I believe you have seen the girl's memories."
"What is your question?" demanded Ansem the Wise.
Ansem stopped and looked at the real Ansem. "Where did you put the girl?" he asked coldly.
"What girl?" Ansem the Wise asked with fake ignorance.
Ansem smirked. "Very well. If you won't tell me here…" he began as he reached out towards Ansem the Wise, only for Aqua to smack his hand away.
"I think you should go." said Aqua, glaring at Ansem.
Ansem looked at Aqua. "A lost guardian of light?" he asked before smirking. "You wait here… for the King and his foolish friends."
Suddenly, Ansem's Guardian appeared.
Terra's eyes widened in horror at his former prison.
Ansem's Guardian suddenly punched Aqua away hard. The Keyblade Master flew back before landing back on her feet in the sand. Ansem the Wise looked on in concern.
"Where's your Keyblade?" Ansem mocked.
"Don't need it!" said Aqua.
Aqua leapt into the air and kicked the guardian. But before she could do it again, Ansem's guardian grabbed hold of her, holding her upside-down.
"No more!" shouted Ansem the Wise.
Suddenly, footsteps could be heard. Ansem and Ansem the Wise turned to see Marluxia walk up.
"Ansem. You are needed in Hill Valley. Sora and his friends are on the move again." informed Marluxia.
Ansem frowned. "And what of my former master?" he asked.
"Xehanort said to leave him." replied Marluxia. "Forget about the girl. We don't have any use for her right now."
Ansem nodded. "Very well."
As Marluxia disappeared through a corridor, Ansem looked back up to Aqua. "Poor thing. I mustn't leave you with nothing." he said with a smirk.
The guardian then threw Aqua to the ground. Aqua landed on her feet again. Suddenly, the guardian summoned a large dark orb and launched it. It hit Aqua straight in the chest, sending her flying and screaming as she landed in the ocean.
Ansem the Wise gasped as he ran over to the edge of the shore. He stopped and fell to his knees in sorrow, realizing there was nothing he could do now.
"Consider yourself lucky." Ansem said to the blond-haired man as he dismissed his guardian and walked through a corridor to Hill Valley.
Ansem the Wise sighed as he looked out towards the water.
"Aqua… I hope you will be alright." he said sadly.
Terra had seen everything and watched in horror as Aqua landed in the water.
"AQUA!" Terra shouted as he suddenly ran out of his hiding spot and charged for the water and dove in.
Ansem the Wise looked up in surprise having heard the splash. But he didn't see Terra as his head had been down solely.
"What on earth was that...?" he asked, perplexed. He sighed. "Perhaps just a mere voice in my head..."
In the water, Terra swam towards Aqua as she sank into the water... being enveloped by the darkness.
Terra attempted to reach out but it was too late. A bright flash managed to engulf him and he disappeared.
At this time, Aqua began to feel strange. "What… is this feeling?" she exclaimed softly.
Without another word, the dark aura consumed her entirely. But before it consumed her face... Aqua could've sworn she saw a small bright flash up above... with Terra's face in it.
Hill Valley, 2015:
Isa's eyes opened the moment he landed on the ground. Over him… a car flew over.
"The hell?" Isa muttered as he got up.
Isa looked around in surprise. He was in a town… but all futuristic. Flying cars, people with strange clothes, odd technology.
Isa noticed a sign and his eyes widened. "Hill Valley?" he asked out loud. "How did I get here…?"
"Hey nice coat!" a man with two neckties said as he walked by.
"Neat hairstyle!" a woman with a tall electric hat said as she walked past.
"You should save that for wintertime." a man with a hat caring tall energy drink cans with straws to his mouth said as he got into his car.
"Um… thank you?" Isa said in confusion.
Isa walked around the futuristic Hill Valley.
"Hmm… seeing this town while not being bothered by Xehanort's demands… this town looks amazing in the future." Isa commented.
He then spotted the Courthouse, or rather, the Courthouse Mall. The clock in the Clock Tower still said 10:04.
"Still not fixed." Isa muttered as he walked around.
He then came up to the movie theater and he looked up.
"Jaws 19." Isa muttered, shaking his head.
At that moment, the giant holographic shark came out and snapped his jaws around Isa… who didn't even flinch as the hologram turned off.
"Hmph. Marty was right. It still looks fake." Isa said.
Suddenly he heard a commotion behind him.
Marty McFly, dressed as his future son Marty McFly Jr., was trying to get away from Griff Tannen and his gang.
Sora and Riku were on their gliders, Donald, Goofy, and Roxas riding with Sora while Kairi and Mickey riding with Riu, flying after Marty to help him get away from Griff's gang.
"Ah yes, getting away from Griff Tannen." Isa surmised as Griff's gang got on their hoverboards.
Marty was almost getting the hang of the hoverboard - until he almost bumped into some people and rocks.
"Argh!" he exclaimed as he fell off the hoverboard.
"Get 'em!" shouted Data.
The gang got on their hoverboards. Marty got up and saw them coming after him. He gets back on his hoverboard and hovered off once more, just as Sora and Co. joined alongside him.
"We got your back Marty!" shouted Goofy.
"Thanks guys!" thanked Marty.
"Yeah, we got 'em!" shouted Spike.
Suddenly, a Jeep landed in the street. Just as it landed Marty grabbed the back of the truck while Sora and the world-travelers flew next to him. Whitey tried to grab Marty but missed. The same happened to Data and Spike with Goofy and Mickey.
Marty then grabbed a rope from the back of the truck and trailed behind, as if was water-skiing.
Griff walked to his car with his bat.
The truck turned the corner by the Café 80's and Marty, Sora, and Riku nearly flew into the crowd. Griff got ready to strike with his bat.
"Head's up!" shouted Donald.
Everyone ducked as Griff missed and ended up breaking one of his headlights on his car.
"Argh!" growled Griff as he reached into his pockets and faced the eight friends. "EAT SHRINKING CHIP, PUNKS!" he shouted, throwing the chip into the air, and hitting it with his bat.
"Heads up AGAIN!" quacked Donald.
Sora, Riku, Kairi, Mickey, Donald, Goofy, Roxas, and Marty ducked as the shrinking chip missed them and ended up hitting Stan Lee's car, shrinking it to the size of a toy car.
"Well, the 60s were fun, but now I'm paying for it!" Stan muttered to himself.
"Woah!" Marty exclaimed in alarm as he and the seven world-travelers looked back in shock.
"We just let Griff unintentionally shrink Stan Lee's car!" exclaimed Sora.
"Sorry Mr. Lee!" shouted Goofy.
Isa winced. "Not a good idea shrinking his car…" the Luna Diviner muttered.
Just as they faced forwards again, they saw that they were heading towards a car
"WHOA!" they all exclaimed at the same time.
The eight friends quickly dodged the car. Suddenly, Sora and Riku's gliders hit some rocks and the seven world-travelers flew off of them in surprise and into the pond. Their gliders disappeared as well right when their passengers fell off.
Marty hovered over the pond. With a few "jumps" he almost made it the whole way across. He was about a meter away from the other side.
Then, Sora, Riku, Kairi, Mickey, Donald, Goofy, and Roxas emerged from the water.
"You guys ok?" asked Marty.
"Yeah… Yeah, we're fine." said Riku.
"Guys, look!" exclaimed Kairi, pointing back towards the other side of the pond.
Everyone looked in Kairi's direction. Griff, Data, Spike, and Whitey were all standing together, grinning evilly.
"Oh this can't be good." muttered Roxas in worry.
"Hey McFly, you bojo!" shouted Data. "Those boards don't work on water."
"Unless you've got power!" added Whitey.
The gang laughed in amusement. Griff then turned to him and got out a box. The gang all walked down the street and stopped. Griff pressed a button on the box and a jet-powered Pit Bull hoverboard popped out.
"Hook on!" shouted Griff.
The gang connected their hoverboards to Griff's.
"Marty, get outta there!" shouted Sora.
Marty tried to move by pushing his foot in the water as if trying to start a skateboard.)
"Batter up!" shouted Griff, readying his bat.
The board blasted off. Marty tried pushing the board again, but it didn't work.
Griff was getting closer.
Sora then saw the rocks on the other side of the pond. Then, he had an idea.
"Marty, jump!" he called.
Marty was about to object, but when he saw the rocks in front of him and realized that Griff and his gang were getting closer, he quickly hopped off and into the water.
Griff's board caught onto a rock and all four fell off. They flew through the air and smashed through the front window of Courthouse Mall just as Marty resurfaced.
"Holy shit!" Sora, Marty, Riku, Donald, Roxas, and even Kairi, Mickey, and Goofy exclaimed together in unison.
"Well that was interesting." remarked Riku.
Marty grabbed the hoverboard and got out of the water. Sora and Co. followed suit.
"Wow…" murmured Isa. "That was one hell of a-"
Before the old Organization's Number VII could finish, he disappeared in a flash of light.
Hill Valley, 1885:
Lea pushed himself back up on his feet. But he nearly fell over in alarm when he saw that he wasn't in the Pride Lands anymore.
He was in an old western town.
"What the fuck…? Where the hell am I?" the Flurry of Dancing Flames said in befuddlement. "When did I end up in the Old West?"
Lea then saw a bunch of people gathered in the middle of town.
"Wonder what's going on over there." Lea said as he went over.
Several townsfolk wearing 19th century clothes were all gathered around.
"Hey uh, hi, sorry w-what the heck's going on here?" asked Lea.
"You don't know?" said a man. "Buford Tannen and two new runts of his challenged three townsfolk."
"Guns drawn and all." said another man.
"And they captured several of their friends." said a woman. "They put shinky gold chains on them!"
Lea looked and gasped.
Several feet away, Riku, Kairi, Mickey, Donald, and Goofy stood together in western outfits while stuck in golden chains. Pete and Mortimer, also wearing western costumes, stood on guard near them.
"Vexen's gold shackles…" Lea muttered under his breath. "Block the flow of power from one's heart to their mind…"
Lea also saw an old man near them that he recognized from an old-timey photo Sora and Co. brought back from Hill Valley in…1885. Lea's eyes widened as he recognized the man as Dr. Emmett Brown.
"I'm in Hill Valley… in the 1880's…" Lea said in shock. "But… how…?!"
He then looked next to Doc and saw a menacing-looking cowboy. His eyes narrowed.
"Mad Dog Tannen…" he said under his breath.
"Times up, runts!" shouted Buford. He threw his watch at Doc and pointed his gun toward him. "Prepare to meet your Maker first, blacksmith."
"You hurt him, we'll break you, you coward!" seethed Donald.
Buford glared daggers at Donald. But before he could say or do anything...
"Right here, Tannen!"
Buford turned around to see Sora, Roxas, and Marty walk out of the saloon. It was Marty (who spoke earlier) in the middle, Sora to his right, and Roxas to his left. The three glared at the villains.
Buford smirked as he walked forward.
Pete and Mortimer smirked as they drew out pistols of their own. As Pete walked up to face Sora, Mortimer turned to Buford's gang.
"Keep an eye on them." he ordered.
At the gang's nods, Mortimer joined Buford and Pete and faced Roxas.
"Oh boy… an old western drawl…" muttered Lea.
A crowd gathered - everyone who was in the saloon came out and so did all the townspeople near by.
"Draw!" demanded Buford.
Marty shook his head. "No!"
Buford stared at him.
Marty threw his gun and belt down, gulping.
"Are you two gonna summon your Keyblades or not?" asked Mortimer.
Sora and Roxas just shook their heads.
Riku, Kairi, Doc, and the Disney trio shared concerned glances.
"We thought we could settle this like men." said Marty.
Buford just grinned evilly, "You thought wrong, dudes." he said darkly.
Suddenly, Buford, Pete, and Mortimer shot their pistols. They each hit Sora, Roxas, and Marty, sending them to the ground in an instant.
"NO!" screamed Kairi in horror.
"SORA!" cried Riku.
"ROXAS!" gasped Mickey.
"MARTY!" gasped Doc.
"OH NO!" cried Goofy.
Lea gasped in alarm. He wanted to shotu but reminded himself how Roxas, Sora, and Marty survived and covered hs mouth. Yet it was hard not to since he saw the person he had considered a little brother get shot alongside his original and another innocent teen, both good friends of Roxas'.
Lea then heard Donald furiously snap, "YOU SON OF A BITCH!"
Lea looked up and jumped as Burford shot Donald in the shoulder. Donald screamed in pain as he landed on his back.
"DONALD!" his friends cried in horror.
Donald clutched his bleeding shoulder as Riku and Kairi helped him up. Donald then began to cry and Goofy held him in a hug, not caring if his friends' blood got on his clothes.
"They were too young! Oh noho…." Donald sobbed.
Kairi began crying as well as Riku hugged her comfortingly, silently crying as well.
Mickey felt tears sting his eyes as he silently mourned the deaths of Sora, Roxas, and Marty.
Doc said nothing as he looked on in shocked and horrified disbelief.
Buford laughed and walked toward the fallen three.
"Ahh, thank ya." Buford chuckled.
Riku, Kairi, Mickey, Donald, Goofy, and Doc glared deadly at Buford. If looks could kill, Buford would be in Hell in 2 seconds.
Seamus just sighed sadly.
Pete and Mortimer just chuckled darkly as they walked towards the fallen three as well.
Lea snarled angrily. Fake out death or not, Burford had no qualms about killing kids. Like Xehanort. Xemnas. Ansem. Maleficent. Rage entered Lea's heart as he subtly began to summon fire magic in his hands.
Buford, Pete, and Mortimer stopped in front of the ones they shot, pointing their guns at them to finish them off.
Suddenly one of Sora, Roxas, and Marty's feet flew up and knocked the gun out of each of the three villains's hands, much to their shock.
Marty stood up and Sora and Roxas kung fu flipped back up.
Pete and Mortimer backed up, suddenly afraid.
Riku, Kairi, Mickey, Donald, Goofy, Doc, and Seamus stared in shock and disbelief, as did the townsfolk.
Lea's fire subsided and he smirked. Shit was about to hit the fan for the villains.
Buford seethed rage as he punched Marty in the stomach, only to end up breaking his knuckles and screamed in agony.
Mary smirked as he lifted his shirt to reveal the stove door from the stove from the saloon, put under his shirt as a bullet-proof vest, held together with some rope. Sora and Roxas then revealed that under their shirts were large tiles tied around them with rope.
Sora, Roxas, and Marty took off their improvised bullet-proof vests and bashed them against Buford's head.
"That's for shooting at us when we first met!" snarled Sora.
Buford fell, but then stood up again. Marty punched him in the face.
"That's for dragging us across town by rope!" he said with a glare.
Before Buford could retort, Sora punched him in the face while Roxas spin-kicked him in the back.
"That's for trying to hang us!" snapped Roxas.
Buford lunged forward, but Marty ended up shoving him into a tombstone in front of a shop, breaking it in half. "That's for trying to kill our friend after blaming him for your own stupidity!" shouted Marty.
Buford struggled to get up and lunge at Marty again, but then, Sora grabbed one of the other smaller tombstones and broke it against Buford's back.
"That's for capturing our friends and threatening to kill them!" yelled Sora.
Buford screamed as he lunged at Sora, but Roxas bashed him in the stomach with another smaller tombstone.
"That's for trying to shoot us right here and now!" snapped Roxas.
Buford struggled to stand, but then he found Sora, Roxas, and Marty standing right in front of him.
"And this is for calling us yellow!" snapped Marty.
Marty then sucker-punched Buford in the face, making him spin around. Sora and Roxas then kicked him in the back, making Buford fall… head first into the A. Jones Manure Cart.
Everyone stared before bursting out laughing. Kairi, Donald, and Goofy were laughing historically while holding their stomachs (in Donald's case, with his good arm).
Lea just cackled, leaning against the saloon old timers.
Even Pete and Mortimer couldn't help but chuckle.
Seamus chuckled slightly. "That was good." he said to Chester.
"Yes! Way to go you guys!" Lea couldn't help but shout.
Roxas heard this. He was about to turn around when the crowd gathered closer, blocking him from seeing Lea… as well as making him unsee the fiery redhead vanish in a flash of light.
"Roxas?"
Roxas looked and saw Sora and Marty looking at him. It had been Sora who spoke.
"Hey something on your mind kid?" asked Marty.
Roxas pondered and then shook his head. "Sorry. I thought I heard someone." he said.
The two brunettes shrugged as a boy came up with the gun Marty tossed to the side.
Keyblade Graveyard:
Roxas was in a pouncing stance when he suddenly found himself in a different area.
"Whoa! What the…?" the old Organization's Number XIII said in confusion. "Where am I?" He looked at his hands. "And why am I human again?"
Roxas walked forwards for a while.
"This place… it feels so… familiar… like I've been here before… yet I don't remember…" Roxas said to himself.
He suddenly paused when he saw what was in front of him. It was a crossroad. 4 ways. But what lied between the paths… were hundreds, maybe thousands of Keyblades, all rusty to the brim.
Roxas' eyes widened. He knew what this place was.
"The Keyblade Graveyard…" he breathed in shock. "W-Why am I here? Why aren't I in the Pride Lands?"
Roxas then spotted someone up ahead. A familiar 20-year-old-man who's back was to him.
"Terra? Did he get sent here too?" Roxas asked.
He paused when he saw Aqua come up to Terra from a different path.
"Aqua? She's here too?" Roxas asked in disbelief.
Aqua stopped in front of Terra and both were silent fro a moment. Aqua then finally spoke up,
"I was told...the Master was struck down." Aqua said.
Terra gasped a bit before looking down in guilt. "Yes...that's right. I was stupid and helped Xehanort do it."
Aqua gasped.
"The Master-he tried to hurt Ven. I only fought because I wanted to protect him." Terra explained as he looked away.
Aqua sighed. Master Eraqus' decisions made her doubt Terra and almost got Ven killed… and it killed him.
Roxas gasped as well. He had heard the story from Terra. He then realized that he was in the past. He wanted to go talk to them, but hesitated.
"But I was tricked. Xehanort set the whole thing up-all so he could awaken the darkness inside me." Terra said, clenching his in guilt and anger fist before he faced Aqua. "You were right, Aqua-and so was the Master. I did need to be watched. I went astray-but no more."
Aqua still looked down. "What else is darkness but hate and rage? Xehanort is feeding the dark fires within you-making you fight. You'll go astray again." Aqua looked up. "Tell me-how does that honor our Master's memory, Terra?" she questioned.
Terra looked away from her.
"That wasn't Terra's fault… Xehanort tricked him… he manipulated everyone… just like all the versions of himself did." Roxas said softly.
He wanted to go over and comfort the past versions of his future friends when he saw Ven walk up to them.
"Ven…" Roxas breathed, looking at his lookalike.
"Xehanort wants me and Vanitas to fight, and make some kind of 'χ-blade.' But the Master said we can't let that happen...and he tried to destroy me for it." Ven told them.
"χ-blade?" asked Aqua.
"I still don't know exactly what it is. But...it scares me to death." Ven said, putting a hand to his heart. "Even just the thought of it."
Terra walked up to Ven and put a hand on his shoulder. "Relax, Ven. We're here and we're gonna take care of you." he assured as Aqua came up and the oldest put his free hand on her shoulder.
"I may have to fight Vanitas after all." said Ven, still not looking at them. "If I do, guys... I want you to-"
"The three of us can never be torn apart, all right? I'll always find a way." promised Terra.
Aqua knelt to Ven's level and put her hand to his cheek, making Roxas smile.
But then Ven took their hands off of him as he looked away. "I'm asking you, as a friend... Just...put an end to me." he said, finally looking at them.
Aqua and Terra both gasped.
So did Roxas. He couldn't believe Ven said that back then! That didn't sound anything like him!
"No… it's Vanitas that has to be destroyed, not Ven…!" Roxas said in disbelief. "I can't let that happen… I-I gotta warn them!"
But just as Roxas was about to run over to the trio, the wind picked up.
Roxas followed the Wayfinder Trio's gaze in the same direction… where they all saw Master Xehanort walking towards them. Vanitas, donning his mask, came out from behind Xehanort, walking right along with him. They both stopped.
Terra, Aqua, and Ven glared at the old man. As did Roxas.
"Xehanort…" the Key of Destiny seethed.
Xehanort gestured to the graveyard. "Behold... These lifeless keys used to be full of power-united with the hearts of their masters. On this barren soil, Keyblades of light and darkness were locked in combat...as a great Keyblade War raged. Countless Keyblade wielders gave up their lives, all in search of one, ultimate key. And it will soon belong to me…" Xehanort said darkly before pointing at Ven. "χ-blade."
Terra, Aqua and Ven all snarled as they don their armor.
Ven started to rush, but Terra stopped him and rushed at them himself. He prepared to attack but was hit when Xehanort caused the ground beneath him to rise. Terra slid across the elevated earth and after regaining himself, watched Xehanort and Vanitas rise on another plateau that Xehanort had created. Xehanort stretched his arm down toward the Keyblades.
Roxas saw the sky grow dark and Xehanort created a cyclone of Keyblades that were ripped from the ground. He sent them toward Aqua and Ven.
"Ven!" Aqua shouted.
Aqua and Ven were running from it when Vanitas jumped onto it and rode it after them. Ven got knocked down. Then Vanitas went after Terra, who was knocked off of one of the cliffs by the Keyblade cyclone. Aqua stopped and looked up and was then thrown up when Keyblades rose from the ground under her.
"I gotta help them!" cried Roxas, summoning Oathkeeper and Oblivion in his grasps when another Keyblade cyclone formed from the Keyblades beside him. Roxas was swept off his feet and into the air as he screamed in alarm.
But just as the cyclone neared Vanitas, there was a bright flash and the Keyblades fell down to the ground.
Roxas was nowhere in sight.
Haunted New York:
Minnie felt her face against carpet after that flash left her eyesight. She slowly pushed herself back on her feet… and realized she was standing in heals and was in her world-travelling attire… and no longer a lion.
"Huh? W-Where am I?" she asked.
Minnie looked and saw that she was in an apartment building.
"A building? But I'm supposed to be in the Pride Lands." Minnie said in confusion.
She looked behind her and nearly jumped at the sight of a destroyed and burnt apartment building.
"Oh my goodness! What happened here?!" Minnie asked in shock.
She carefully walked through the destruction and made sure not to step on anything burnt… or covered in slime.
She looked at the view and her eyes widened.
The tall buildings, the sounds of traffic and police sirens, and the familiar Chrysler Building.
"New York City?! How am I in New York City?!" Queen Minnie asked in complete confusion.
Suddenly she heard what sounded like a battle and electricity as she stood near the giant hole in the apartment building.
Minnie looked to her left and saw a stairway in the kitchen.
"Oh I wonder where these go." the mouse queen wondered out loud.
Carefully, Minnie walked up the stairs.
After a while, Minnie managed to make it to the roof of the buildings.
"Oh my goodness… What a climb." she panted. She giggled a little. "Although it is good exercise."
Minnie's giggling stopped when she saw electricity flash above some rubble. Carefully, the Queen of Disney Castle climbed up the rubble and was surprised.
In front of her were Sora, Donald, Goofy, Mickey, Riku, and Kairi witht their Keyblades, staff, and shield drawn, fighting alongside four men she recognized from the commercials she was shown when they came back from their travelling.
She recognized them as Dr. Peter Venkman, Dr. Ray Stanz, Dr. Egon Spengler, and Winston Zeddemore.
And given the similar uniforms they were wearing… Minnie's eyes widened when she saw the familiar logos.
"Oh my… I'm not just in New York… I'm in the New York with the Ghostbusters!" she gasped.
Minnie then saw what looked like a white woman with black hair and a white dress with giant red eyes.
"Is that… Gozer?" she asked, trying to remember how they described the reason this New York was haunted.
Minnie then saw Gozer go over the edge of the building. She felt relief as she looked at her husband and his friends.
"We neutralized it! You know what that means? A complete particle reversal!" exclaimed Ray.
"Hey, we have the tools, we have the talent!" cheered Winston.
"It's Miller time!" cheered Peter.
"Never underestimate the power of Light!" cheered Sora.
Everyone else cheered, except Egon, who was scanning the sky. Riku and Mickey noticed.
"Everything alright, Egon?" asked Riku.
"This looks extraordinarily bad." muttered Egon in concern.
Suddenly, the entire building began to rumble. Pieces of the building began to fall. Minnie did her best not to fall… or scream to attract attention.
"HIT THE DECK!" cried Goofy.
"What's happening?!" cried Donald.
"EARTHQUAKE!" screamed Kairi.
Everyone covered their heads as more debris fell, luckily missing them. Before anyone could speak, a familiar voice spoke out.
"Subcreatures! Gozer the Gozerian, Gozer the Destructor, Volguus Zildrohar, the Traveler, has come! Choose and perish!" echoed the voice.
"It's Gozer!" cried Donald.
"What do you mean choose?!" asked Sora.
"Yeah, we don't understand!" Goofy chimed in.
"Choose! Choose the form of the Destructor!" echoed Gozer's voice.
"Whoa! I get it, I get it. Very cute!" said Peter, figuring it out before turning to the other nine. "Whatever we think of - if we think of J. Edgar Hoover, J. Edgar Hoover will appear and destroy us, okay?" he asked.
"Ok then, so everybody empty your heads and don't think of anything ok?" said Mickey.
"The choice is made!" echoed Gozer's voice.
"WHAT?!" exclaimed a startled and confused Mickey.
"Whoa, whoa!" exclaimed Peter.
"The Traveler has come!" echoed Gozer's voice.
"Uh oh…" Minnie mumbled in fight. She didn't like the sound of that.
"Nobody choosed anything!" protested Peter as he turned to Egon. "Did you choose anything?"
"No." replied Egon.
"Did you?" Peter asked Winston.
"My mind's totally blank." replied Winston.
Peter turned to Sora and the world-travelers. "What about you guys?"
"Nope!" replied Sora.
"Not me!" added Riku.
"Me neither!" assured Donald.
"Gawrsh, I didn't choose anything!" said Goofy.
"I made sure my mind was clear!" assured Kairi.
"Me too!" added Mickey.
"Well I didn't choose anything!" exclaimed Peter.
And that's it when it dawned on Peter, Egon, Winston, Sora, and Co. all approaching Ray who looked guilty.
"Ray?…" began Donald with a suspicious stare.
"I couldn't help it. It just popped in there!" trembled Ray.
"What? What 'just popped in there?'" asked Riku.
"I-I-I tried to think…" began Ray.
"LOOK!" cried Egon, pointing far off the side of the building.
"No!" exclaimed Ray.
"What is it?!" asked Sora.
"It can't be!" exclaimed Ray.
"What did you do Ray?!" quacked Donald both angry and scared.
"Oh my gosh!" exclaimed Mickey.
"Oh shit!" shouted Winston.
Minnie looked in the direction the group of 10 were looking at to see a white, inflatable giant in a sailor suit with a creepy smile, walking towards them, crushing things in its path.
Everyone looked at Ray who said solemnly, "It's the Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man."
Everyone looked at it again, speechless.
Despite the circumstances, Minnie couldn't help but giggle. The way the Staypuft Marshmallow smiled was a little hard to take seriously.
"Well there's something you don't see every day." commented Peter.
"True that." agreed Sora.
"I tried to think of the most harmless thing. Something I loved from my childhood. Something that could never, ever possibly destroy us. Mr. Stay-Puft..." muttered Ray.
"Nice thinking Ray." commented Donald, sarcastically.
"We used to roast Stay-Puft marshmallows, by the fire at Camp Waconda!" Ray added.
"Say Donald, your nephews, don't they roast Stay-Puft marshmallows around the campfire during a Woodchuck camping trip too?" asked Goofy.
Donald sighed, but didn't want to lose his temper… again. "Yes. Yes, they do." he replied.
Peter turned to Egon. "Ray has gone bye-bye, Egon. What have you got left?" he asked.
"Sorry, Venkman. I'm terrified beyond the capacity for rational thought." Replied Egon, still staring at the giant.
Suddenly, Mr. Stay-Puft looked up at them menacingly, and growled at them.
"Oh no…" muttered Winston.
"Oh crud." muttered Riku.
"Mother puss bucket! Peter groaned.
Kairi aimed her Keyblade at the monster. "Let's sink this sailor!" she shouted.
"One, two, three, roast him!" shouted Ray.
Peter, Ray, Egon, and Winston blasted the marshmallow giant with their Proton Packs, and Sora, Riku, Kairi, Mickey, and Donald fired several spells at the same time. Goofy watched their backs with his shield.
After they finished blasting Mr. Stay-Puft, the menacing giant looked very ticked off and headed towards them. To make matters worse, the streams and spells had set him on fire.
"Oh boy." groaned Riku.
"Whoa…" muttered Peter in shock.
Sora and his friends all quickly hid towards the side of the building.
"I better slow that thing down!" said Minnie, summoning Starlight.
Minnie carefully climbed over the rubble and hled her Keyblade up high. Calling to her heart, she unleashed her Faith magic and struck Mr. Staypuft in the face. The Staypuft Marshshmallow man roared in pain before it roared back at Minnie.
At that moment,
"Oh dear…" Minnie sweatdropped.
Mr. Staypuft spat out a flaming marshmallow at Minnie who quickly jumped away and behind the rubble as the flaming marshmallow crashed behind her, creating a sticky coated mess slightly on fire.
"That was close." Minnie breathed in relief.
Taking some time to recover herself, Minnie got up and spotted The past version of her husband, friends, and the Ghostbusters walking in front of the temple. Sora, Riku, and Donald stood to the left of the Ghostbusters, while Mickey, Goofy, and Kairi stood on the right.
"We'll cover you guys in case anyone interferes!" said Donald.
"Thanks fellas!" thanked Mickey, just as Mr. Stay-Puft's head appeared, looking at them menacingly.
"Hurry!" cried Egon.
"See you on the other side, Ray." said Peter as he began to fire at the temple.
"Nice working with you, Dr. Venkman." replied Ray as he began to fire.
"Well, if this is the end, I'm proud to call you guys my friends." said Riku as he began to fire.
"And it was a pleasure to meet you guys." said Winston as he too began to fire.
"And to be trusted enough to keep the secret about world-traveling." added Egon as he began to fire.
"I love you guys." said Kairi, holding back tears as she began to fire.
"Me too. And I have been proud not to just be your king, but your friend." smiled Mickey as he began to fire.
"Me too. It was an honor to meet and help you Ghostbusters." smiled Sora as he began to fire. "And Riku, Donald, Goofy, Mickey… I'm proud that we're a family. You guys are… my brothers, even if three of you are way older than us. And Kairi… thank you for everything." he added.
Kairi smiled. "No problem. Now let's cross some streams!" she ordered.
With that, Sora, Riku, Kairi, Mickey, Peter, Ray, Egon, and Winston crossed the streams while Donald and Goofy watched their backs.
Minnie crawled through the rubble and saw what they were doing. She resummoned Starlight and began to aim it at the temple as well. With so many streams, no one noticed Minnie fire, nor did they see her struggling but managing to move her stream of light to cross with the rest.
Sora then suddenly spoke up. "Kairi! If this is the end… I just want to say… I… like…"
But before he could finish, the guts suddenly slammed shut.
"It's gonna blow!" cried Ray.
"DUCK AND COVER!" shouted Mickey.
Minnie gasped and was about to run when she disappeared in a flash.
No one noticed as they ran for cover.
The temple exploded, and so did Mr. Stay-Puft. The explosion caused them to fly in all directions. Marshmallow fell all over the place.
Betwixt and Between:
Max didn't know what was going on the moment that bright flash blinded his eyes. When it cleared, he found himself in a weird blue area with the Nobody sigils moving all around. One end was dark blue and the other was a mixture of red, orange, pink, and purple.
"What the heck… where am I?" he gasped.
He then heard a commotion in front of him. Max looked ahead and was taken aback.
He saw Sora and Lea fighting a bunch of Dusk Nobodies. Sora had Kingdom Key and Lea had his chakrams. And nearby, Donald and Goofy were panting in exhaustion. Neither party seemed to notice him.
"Dad? Donald? Sora? Lea?" he asked in surprise. "What's going on… what is this place?"
"Give me strength!" he heard Sora shout.
"Burn baby!" he heard Lea shout.
Max looked at the fight before him. As he looked closer, he saw Sora was wearing his old KHII clothes and Lea, while still wearing his Organization XIII cloak, had lighter skin and he had a purple reverse-teardrop-shaped marking under each eye.
"Since when did Lea have those marks-" Max cut off as he realized something. "Hold on… that was what he had when he was…"
"Axel!" he heard Sora shout.
"No you don't!" Axel yelled as he sent his fire-coated chakrams against several Dusks.
"Did I just… go back in time?" Max asked in shock.
At that moment, Sora and Axel were back to back as the Dusks surrounded them.
"I think I liked it better when they were on my side." Axel quipped.
"Feeling a little...regret?" Sora asked.
Axel smirked. "Nah...I can handle these punks. Heh. Watch this!"
Axel jumped into the center and focused his energy. His chakram spun around him spouting fire.
Max's eyes widened. He remembered when Lea did that to Saïx in the Castle That Never Was when they were attempting to rescue Terra and Rufus.
Axel screamed, creating a gigantic torrent of flames which obliterated the Nobody horde.
Sora had covered his eyes in the bright blast. As did Max. When they removed their eyes, they were surprised to see that all of the Nobodies had been destroyed. Donald and Goofy were too after recovering.
"Whoa!" Sora gasped.
Sora then turned and saw Axel lying on the floor, bits of darkness coming from him.
"Axel…" Max gasped as he watched on.
Donald and Goofy didn't see him because they turned in the other direction to face Sora and Axel.
Sora rushed over to Axel and knelt by his side.
"You're...fading away…" Sora gasped.
"Well, that's what happens when you put your whole being into an attack. You know what I mean? Not that Nobodies actually HAVE beings...right?"Axel weakly said. "Anyway, I digress. Go, find Kairi." he told Sora. He then remembered something. "Oh, almost forgot... Sorry for what I did to her." he said in regret."
"When we find her, you can tell her that yourself." said Sora.
Axel turned his head back to look up. "Think I'll pass. My heart just wouldn't be in it, you know? Haven't got one." he replied, laughing weakly.
"Yes you do…" Max whispered sadly. "Xemnas lied to you all…"
Sora looked at the dying pyro sadly. "Axel, what were you trying to do?" he asked.
"I wanted to see Roxas." Axel replied, taking Sora aback. "He...was the only one I liked... He made me feel...like I had a heart." He turned his head to Sora. "It's kind of...funny... You make me feel...the same…" Axel trailed off. "Kairi's in the castle dungeon. Now go."
He held up his hand and opened a portal before it fell down to the ground.
"Axel…" Sora said sadly as Axel fades completely away with the smallest flicker of black flames.
Max watched as his dad and Donald approached Sora. He could only sigh sadly as he had seen one of his friends die, sacrificing himself to help the trio.
"You may have been a villain once as Axel, Lea. But even then… you were a good guy and a hero deep down, heart or no heart…" Max said softly before he vanished in a bright flash.
Twilight Town:
Naminé skidded against the ground. Shee pushed himself up but then noticed that his front pawswere now her hands.
"What… what happened? Did the magic wear off?" she asked in shock as she got up, dusting off her white dress.
She looked around her surroundings.
"Twilight Town? How did I get here?" she asked in confusion.
And she was in the peculiar town where the sky was twilight all the time. She was in the Sandlot where the Struggle Bat tournaments were usually held. But no one was in sight. Not Hayner, Pence, or Olette, or even Seifer, Rai, Fuu, and Vivi.
"It seems pretty quiet today." the former witch hummed to herself as she walked around.
Suddenly she felt an odd presence. She looked in one direction and walked down the pathways. As she did, she heard what sounded like a fight.
"What's going on?" Naminé asked in confusion and worry.
She began to run towards the commotion.
It wasn't long until Kairi' former Nobody reached the clocktower. She skidded to a stop and gasped.
There was Roxas, dressed in his Organization XIII clothes, clutching his version of Kingdom Key… but fighting what looked like a giant in armor with the Nobody sigil.
"Roxas? Wait a second…" Naminé said as she hid behind a building. "Is that… no it can't be… Xion?... Am I… in the past…?"
Suddenly there was a bright flash. Naminé then saw the armored figure disappear and turn back into Xion, who fell to her knees, the darkness wrapped around her dissipating. Roxas held his head while walking toward her.
"Who are you...again? It's weird. I feel like I'm forgetting something really important." he said.
"You'll be...better off now...Roxas." Xion said when she suddenly fell and Roxas caught her in his arms.
She started to splinter, small shards of memory floating out of her body.
Naminé gasped. "Oh no… this is when… when Xion died…" she said in shock.
"Am I...the one who did this to you?" Roxas asked.
"No... It was my choice...to go away now." Xion said softly. "Better that, than to do nothing...and let Xemnas have his way. I belong with Sora. And now, I am going back...to be with him. Roxas…"
Xion placed her hand on Roxas'.
"I need you...to do me a favor. All those hearts that I've captured... Kingdom Hearts... Set them free." Xion softly begged.
Roxas blinked. "Kingdom Hearts... Free them?"
Xion's legs suddenly start to become crystalline. Roxas gasped.
As did Naminé. She knew Xion had to become one with Sora in order for him to wake up… but seeing this… this was different.
"It's too late...for me to undo my mistakes. But you can't let Xemnas... have Kingdom Hearts. You can't." Xion said weakly. She managed to smile. "Good-bye, Roxas. See you again. I'm glad...I got to meet you. Oh...and of course, Axel, too. You're both my best friends." She said as she placed a hand on Roxas's cheek. "Never forget. That's the truth."
Roxas continued to hold her as her eyes closed. She dropped her hand, but he caught it, scattering more memories.
"No! Xion... Who else will I have ice cream with?" Roxas pleaded, almost sounding like he was gonna cry.
Naminé put a hand to her mouth as she felt like she was gonna cry too.
The crystal suddenly enveloped Xion's entire body. She was bathed in warm light until all that remained was a seashell. Roxas touched it and remembered her smiling face as they sat on the clock tower together.
"Xion." was all Roxas could say.
"Oh Roxas… Xion… I'm so sorry you went through that…" Naminé said sadly before she disappeared in a flash of light.
Roxas could've sworn he saw the flash out of the side of his eye. But he paid no attention to it as he focused back on the seashell in the spot where his friend once laid before her death.
Pride Lands, years ago:
Mickey didn't know what had just happened. One moment he was a lion fighting the Outsdiers. And the next, he was in his regular mouse form, the lions and his friends were gone, and it was daytime without any rain.
"Whoa! What happened? Where did everyone go?" Mickey asked in confusion. "And when did it stop raining?"
Mickey walked around for a bit before he suddenly heard a rumbling sound.
"Huh? What's that noise?" the king asked.
Mickey looked ahead and saw he was near a gorge. The rumbling grew louder. He peered down and his eyes widened.
Down below were dozens, maybe hundreds, of wildebeest. And they were all running fast in a stampede.
"Oh gosh a stampede?! O-Oh that is not good! I better warn Simba!" Mickey said in concern.
But as the mouse king went to look for Simba, he suddenly spotted a familiar blue bird fly into the gorge.
"Zazu?" Mickey asked.
Carefully, Mickey tried to look in the direction Zazu was going. He pulled out a telescope from his toonspace and saw a lion cub on top of a dead tree being shaken around by the force of the stampede.
He had brownish-gold fur, with a lighter cream color accenting his belly, muzzle, and paws. He had large, bright eyes with red irises and yellow scleras; his upper lids were a deep tawny. He had a light pink nose and four black whiskers on either side of his muzzle, and the insides of his ears are tawny and rimmed with black. He also boasted a small tuft of hair on top of his head and a short bushy tail.
Zazu flew down to him.
"Zazu help me!" the cub cried.
"Your father is on the way! Hold on!" Zazu told him.
"Hurry!" he cried, losing his grip.
"Oh no! He's in danger!" Mickey cried.
But before he could do anything, he suddenly saw two lions come up to the gorge.
One lion he immediately recognized as Mufasa, both kings having met several times some time before the worlds fell to darkness thanks to Ansem.
"King Mufasa?!" Mickey gasped in surprise.
But then Mickey's eyes widened in further shock when he saw who was with them.
It was a familiar lion Mickey rarely met due to how distant he was… but the facial characteristics and similar color scheme from Rafiki's painting and Jiminy's journal made him recognize the lion… as Scar.
Scar was an adult lion with brown fur and a thin, silky, coal black mane. The fur on his belly, the bottoms of his paws, and around his mouth was light tan. He was quite lanky and frail. There were short tufts of black fur on the back of his elbows, as well as on the tip of his tail, and he had sharp, dark brown claws .He had a scar over his left eye. His eyes were striking yellow green and his sclera were yellow, while his eyebrows were the same color as his mane, black. He had a widow's peak and his large, round ears were partially visible through his mane. He had ten dark whiskers, five on either side of his upper lip. He also had a goatee on his chin.
"Scar?!" Mickey gasped in horror. He paused. "Oh no… I'm in the past! But… how?!"
Zazu flew up to the two brothers.
"There! There! On that tree!" Zazu shouted, pointing down below.
"Hold on, Simba!" Mufasa shouted as he began to run down.
Mickey managed to hear that last part and gasped.
"That cub is Simba!" Mickey cried. "I really am in the past!"
Suddenly, some hyenas barking started him and he fell over the cliffside and landed on a ledge.
"Oh geez!" Mickey muttered, struggling to stay balanced.
In the gully, a wildebeest rammed the tree Simba's on, nearly breaking it.
"Ahhhh!" Simba cried.
Mufasa suddenly ran out into the herd, joining the stampede.
Scar then follows Mufasa's progress from the lip of the gorge, his shadow cast mysteriously from the bottom of the gully.
Mickey tried to summon his Keyblade for his glider but the stampede's ruckus echoing around was making it hard for him to focus and stay balanced all at the same time.
Mufasa ran with the herd till slightly past the tree. He whipped around the front of some wildebeest and ran into the herd towards Simba's tree. He was rammed head-first once, throwing him to the ground. A wildebeest hit Simba's tree, throwing Simba into the air. Mufasa got up in time to catch Simba in the air with his mouth. He got hit again and accidentally threw Simba. Simba dodged a few oncoming wildebeest. Mufasa ran by with the herd and grabbed Simba. He jumped up to a nearby rock ledge and set Simba down, but was immediately struck by a wildebeest and carried off into the stampede.
"DAD!" he cried.
Simba watched in horror as he couldn't find his father in the swirling mass of wildebeest below him.
Mickey had seen this too as he made his way across the ledge.
"Oh god Mufasa!" he cried, nearly losing his footing.
At the last second, Mufasa leapt out of the herd and started to climb with great difficulty up the sheer rock slope. Simba turned and started to climb up to the top of the gorge. Out of Simba's sight, Mufasa reached a point right below a ledge where he couldn't climb due to the steepness. His claws awere scraping and his back paws had no traction.
Mufasa suddenly saw Scar looking down on him from the above ledge.
"Scar! Broth- {slips, barely hanging on} Brother! Help me!" he begged.
Scar looked disdainfully down, and then suddenly latched onto Mufasa's forepaws with claws extended. Mufasa roared in pain as Scar leaned in and gave a cruel, wicked, evil smirk.
"Long… live… the king." Scar said darkly as Mufasa's expression changed to horror.
Scar suddenly threw his brother backwards. Mufasa fell right into the stampede, screaming in terror.
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Simba screamed, his scream echoing all around the gorge as he watched his father fall.
"MUFASA!" Mickey cried in horror when he suddenly lost his footing.
Mickey screamed as he began to fall into the stampede. He quickly summoned Kingdom Key W and was about to turn it into his glider when he disappeared in a flash of light.
Radient Garden, Ansem thw Wise's Study:
Xion groaned as she landed on top of a desk. She rubbed her head… and was surprised to feel that she had a hand instead of a paw.
"What the hell…?" Xion gasped. "What happened? Why am I human-?"
Xion cut herself off when she saw where she was.
"Ansem the Wise's study?" Xion gasped as she scooted off the desk. She had seen this from Sora's memories and briefly when she came to the castle to get ready to enter the Realm of Darkness to rescue Aqua - and as a bonus, Ansem the Wise, Cloud, and Zack. "What am I doing here?"
Xion noticed that several books and test tubes were all over the place.
"What the heck happened here?" the old Organization's Number XIV asked.
"Look it's not going anywhere!"
Xion paused when she heard that voice. "Even?"
Xion wandered out of the study and saw Even, a young Ienzo, and someone with long silver hair in a labcoat.
Ienzo looked similar to his adult form, but different. He wore a white lab coat over a black, V-neck top with a pale collar. The seams connecting his coat's sleeves were visibly lower than that Even's and another horizontal seam connected the sleeves at the back. Ienzo rolled the sleeves of his lab coat back, partially covering his hands. He wore blue pants and navy-blue shoes.
"I don't get what you mean. Our studies on the heart are going just fine." the man said, sounding just like Ansem and Terra-Xehanort.
"Not they are not." Even scowled. "Even after we drove our master away, these studies on the heart aren't coming with any good results Xehanort."
Ienzo nodded in agreement.
Xion gasped softly.
"That shouldn't stop us from breaking the boundaries in studying the heart." said Terra-Xehanort.
"Look this isn't working anymore!" Even snapped. "I'm putting an end to this Xehanort. These studies are done."
Terra-Xehanort scowled. "You aren't putting an end to anything." he said before raising his hand. "Things are only just getting started."
Even raised an eyebrow. "What are you talking about?" he asked.
Suddenly, Gazing Eye summoned in Terra-Xehanort's grasp. He suddenly jammed it into ERven's chest. Even gasped and spluttered as Ienzo jumped back in shock.
Xion covered her mouth in horror.
Even's heart flew out of his chest and into the air as he collapsed to the ground. Before his eyes shut, he managed to look at the startled Ienzo and barley managed to say, "Ienzo… run…" before he shut his eyes and stopped moving.
Inezo attempted to run, but Terra-Xehanort turned around just in time and stabbed Ienzo in the chest.
Xion gasped even louder from her hiding spot and watched in horror as Ienzo fell to the ground and his heart flew away to Kingdom Hearts.
Terra-Xehanort then gasped and stumbled a bit after such a rush, his Keyblade dismissing in the process.
Even and Ienzo began to slightly fade away.
Xion was about to summon her Keyblade and run in to fight, when a new voice cut in.
"Hey! Is this how you wanted it?"
Terra-Xehanort was barely able to look up and focus as in came a man that looked like Xigbar, but it was his somebody wore a guard's uniform with a dark slate gray jacket, silver highlights, and two rows of gold buttons on the front. He wore a black belt and white gloves adorned with a silver, curled heart symbol and pointed shoulders. He also wore black, knee-high boots and a tattered, red scarf. He had brown eyes, upturned eyebrows, and dark, shoulder-length hair slicked back. He had a jagged scar over his left cheek and a black eye patch over his right eye.
"Xehanort! You wanna fill me in?" Braig scowled as he approached him.
Terra-Xehanort was able to resummon Gazing Eye.
"I am…" he began.
"Hey! Do you remember now, or…" Braig began before he paused. "Wait, did you never lose your memory?"
Terra-Xehanort leapt forward and plunges the blade into Braig's chest.
"That's not my name... I'm not 'Xehanort.'" he managed to say.
Braig's eye widened with shock and he fell to the floor, exhaling loudly. A heart surged from his chest.
"My name... is Ansem." he managed to say.
Xion stared in shock and then realized what was going on. "This was when Organization XIII was first formed…" she said silently.
Suddenly, two teenage boys ran past her. Xion's eyes widened when she saw who they were. The redhead and bluehead were unmistakable.
"Lea? Isa?" she whispered.
Lea's hair was shorter and with the spikes styled upward. His widow's peak was more noticeable. He wore a sleeveless orange jacket with a white, sleeveless shirt underneath, and tan, baggy pants with red and white sneakers and black socks, the pockets of his jacket were a much darker shade of orange than the rest of it. He also wore a yellow and brown keffiyeh around his neck. The pattern of this keffiyeh changed abruptly near his neck, from stripes to a very organized checkerboard pattern and the tip was frayed slightly.
Isa wore a navy blue jacket with a light blue stripe going along his shoulders to the ends of his sleeves, the jacket's collar rather high and sky blue in coloration, as were the ends of the sleeves and the bottom hem of the jacket. There was a yellow waning crescent moon symbol prominently displayed on the left breast of the jacket. He also had a black undershirt, white pants and black shoes with what appeared to be a grayish trim on the bottom. His blue hair was shorter, slightly longer than jaw-length and was spiked upward.
"Whoa! What happened in here?!" cried Lea.
"Why are those people fading?" Isa nervously asked.
Ansem managed to regain himself just as Dilan and Aeleus ran in. They failed to notice Xion because they were focused on Lea and Isa.
"Hey! What did we tell you about breaking in here?!" exclaimed Aeleus.
"Sorry Xehanort, we'll get them out of here." said Dilan.
"Oh no. They're just fine where they are." Ansem smirked. "In fact… all four of you are."
"What? What does that mean?" asked Aeleus.
Dilan looked down and his purple eyes widened. "Why are Braig, Even, and Ienzo on the floor and fading?" he asked.
Ansem grinned as he gribbed his Keyblade. "Oh you'll find out." he said darkly.
He suddenly raised it and tried to strike the group when Dilan blocked it with his lance.
"Everyone run!" Dilan shouted when Ansem suddenly swept his legs, making Dilan fall over and drop his weapon. Before he knew it, Ansem stabbed him in the chest with his Keyblade. Dilan gasped as his heart floated out of his chest.
"DILAN!" Aeleus screamed.
"Holy shit!" shouted Lea.
Aeleus glared as he cluthed his Axe Sword. "Boys run for your life!" he shouted as he charged at Ansem.
Ansem blocked Aeleus' attack and they clashed weapons before the former suddenly kicked the guard in the stomach. Aeleus stumbled back in pain a bit and raised his weapon to atytack when Ansem stabbed him in the chest. Aeleus gasped as he dropped his sword and he fell on his side as his heart floated away.
"Oh god!" Lea shouted.
"Lea let's get out of here!" Isa shouted.
Ansem suddenly jumped into the air and landed behind them, blocking the exit.
"H-Hey get out of the way!" shouted Lea.
"I'm afraid that won't be happening…" Ansem said darkly. "You boys are next!"
"Get the hell outta the way!" Lea snapped as he charged at Ansem but he pucnehd him in the face and Lea stumbled back against the computer, clutching his face.
"HEY! No one does that to my friend!" Isa snapped as he attempted to tackle Ansem.
But Ansem slashed Isa's face with his Keyblade in an X formation and he screamed in pain as he clutched it in pain… leaving his chest open. Ansem stabbed Isa in the chest and he gasped and spluttered, attempting to clutch it… revealing an X-shaped burn across the bridge of his nose. Isa collapsed to the ground as his heart floated away to Kingdom Hearts.
Xion softly gasped and was too frozen to move in shock and horror at the brutalities of her future friends… and Braig/Xigbar.
"That's how he got it…" she whsiepred in horror.
"ISA! NO!" Lea screamed as he stared at his best friend's lifeless body in horror.
"You will join him."
Before Lea even realized what had happened, Ansem jammed Gazing Eye into his chest. Lea splutetred and gasped as he fell away from the computer and landed on the ground. His heart floated out of his chest and away to Kingdom Hearts.
Ansem looked at the seven lifeless bodies in front of him as they were now fading away, consumed by the darkness.
"Now my plan begins." Ansem said with a wicked grin.
Xion finally found her courage and snarled angrily as she summoned Lost Memory.
"YOU MONSTER!" she yelled before she suddenly disappeared in a flash of light.
Ansem paid little to no attention to the noise behind him as Braig, Dilan, Even, Aeleus, Ienzo, Isa, and Lea's bodies disappeared into the darkness.
Moon/Tranquility:
Donald found it hard to breathe as he suddenly sat up with a startled quack. He grasped his neck with his hands, not yet registering the fact that they were no longer tropical bird wings. He quickly summoned Save the Queen casted an oxygen spell, helping him breathe. He dismissed his staff and patted his pockets. He pulled otu Gyro's Oxy-Chew gum.
"Oh good… if the spell wears off these will help me!" Donald said in relief. His eyes then went as wide as dinner plates as he realized where he was. "What the heck?!"
Donald looked around and all he could see was the stars of outer space. He then spotted Earth as well. He looked down and saw they greyish-white rocky ground he was on.
"I'M ON THE MOON?!" Donald quacked in alarm, confusion, and disbelief. "How the phooey heck did I get HERE?!"
Donald then heard a commotion behind him.
"Wak?" he quacked. "What's that?"
Cautious, Donald summoned Centurion and carefully made his way across the moon.
The course of the noise got louder as Donald then spotted what looked like a wrecked red rocket, making his eyes widen.
"The Spear of Selene?!" he gasped.
He then saw something that made him gasp.
There was Della fighting what appeared to be a green spider greature with red eyes. Sh ewas wielding her Godlsayer sword. But it was Della's appearance that made him realize something was off. Her pilot outfit was torn, she had bandages wrapped around her, and her hair was long… just like when she came back home.
Donald almost lost his breath when he realized what was going on.
"Moon… Spear of Selene…Della on the moon fighting a… moon spider?… I'm in the past…" Donald gasped. "But… How?! I'm supposed to be in the Pride Lands!"
Donald then spotted a green alien and a purple alien both clad in golden armor nearby. It was General Lunaris and Lieutenant Penumbra. Remembering the consequences of messing with the timeline from Hill Valley and stories from Gyro and Ludwig, Donald reluctantly but quickly hid in a crater. He peeked up to see Della fight the monster.
Della dashed forward and she and the Mite exchanged blows with their sword and leg. Della's powerful sword was strong enough to parry the Mite's attacks and when it tries to crush her she rolls to the side and slices the creature across its side, making it roar in pain.
"That's for destroying my rocket!" Della shouted.
It swipes her but she flips up high and lands on the other side to slice it again.
"And for ruining my chances to get back to Earth!" she added.
She somersaulted around it and blocked a thrust from its leg. Della parried its leg slices and then ducked before slicing off one of its legs, making it screech in anguish and Della satisfied.
"And that's for messing everything up and keeping me from my family!" Della yelled.
Donald couldn't help but smile proudly. "That's my sister!" he whispered proudly to himself.
To her and the aliens' great shock the Mite's leg regenerates.
"What!?" she gasped.
"I did not know it could do that." Penumbra shouted.
"Neither did I." said Lunaris.
When it tried to crush her, she held her blade out horizontally and blocked it with all her might. She gave it a glare before rolling away and running up the wall. She sprang off holding her sword with both hands.
"DIE!" Della yelled.
She impaled her sword through the side of its head and it screamed in absolute pain as it swerved out of control. Della held on as tight as she could until she was thrown off with her sword rolling on the ground and her pilot hat coming off. She lifted her head up to see the Mite approaching her in anger.
"Oh no…!" Donald paled.
"But how!?" Della cried.
Della felt herself only to gasp in shock when she found her scarf missing. She frantically spotted it between her and the Mite. It was about to stomp on Donald's gift.
"No! My brother gave me that!" she shouted.
Lunaris blinked, "Brother?"
Donald snarled seeing the Moon Mite have Della's scarf. "Oh no you don't you rotten son of a-!"
But Della beat him to the punch as she jumped at it and grabbed the scarf on time while avoiding getting crushed. She wrapped it back around her neck but left herself opened to be smacked and sent crashing into the wall.
Donald grimaced.
It was at that moment the creature impaleed Della and she choked before releasing a loud scream of agony and anguish, causing Lunaris and even Penumbra to gasp in horror.
"Della!" Lunaris shouted.
Donald felt his heart stop as he stared in horror.
"Della!" he cried.
The dust from the battle impact coated around Donald as Penumbra and Lunaris, having heward his voice, turned to his direction, only to not see anyone, much to their confusion.
Della's screams suddenly became louder as both aliens looked back and gasped as blood poured out of her abdomen. She was tossed to the other side where she landed on the ground groaning and writhing in pain. The Mite approached her and she painstakingly got up, clutching her sword and using her other hand to clutch her stomach and keep the blood in. She gave the Mite a pained and determined look.
"No…not again…not ever again."
The duste settled and Donald was now holding Save the Queen, his face red in anger.
"No on… hurts… MY SIS-!" he began to shout whena battle cry cut him off.
Della suddenly charged forward only to be knocked away and sent smashing into the wall. Her sword dropped by her side and the Mite attempted to impale her again, forcing her to grab and hold it back again. Della screamed in agony as she was unable to fight off the beast's strength, especially since she's injured. Lunaris and Penumbra blasted it with electric shots that it ignored as it pushed against Della.
Donald snarled in anger and immediately fired a Thundaga Shot spell that made the Mite roar in anger,
Small and barely noticeable biceps formed on Della's arm began to form as she pushed but it wasn't enough and the Mite almost cut through her neck.
Donald was ready to cast another powerful spell in rage… when the sound of a baby crying was heard, making him stop in his tracks.
Everyone turned in the direction of the torn rocket where something came out. It was a baby version of the Moon Mite and it was crying hysterically in fear and hurt. The Moon Mite let go of Della and rushed over to the baby.
Della clutched her stomach groaning in pain and getting a potion out from her toon space.
"My last potion…" she breathed.
She pours the liquid over the hole. She cringed the sting but her wound closed up. She picked her sword and got up clutching her stomach, still feeling some of the pain since Potions can't restore all of the damage done.
"Ow…" she groaned.
She walks forward joining Lunaris and Penumbra in watching the Mite trying to calm down its baby whichwas crying in absolute hysterics.
Donald hid behind another piece of moon rock and his anger disappeared as he realized now what was happening.
"That thing… is a mom…?" he gasped. He paused. "Just like… Della…" he whispered.
The Mite was actually full of sorrow and took off a scrap of metal to feed her baby but the Baby Mite was so upset and agonized it refusesd to eat and continued crying.
The three of them could only watch with bewildered expressions as Della put it all together and dismissed her sword.
"Wait…the Mite isn't a monster… Della looks to them pleadingly. …It's a MOTHER!" she gasped.
Lunaris showed pity and sympathy but Penumbra didn't look at compassion at all.
"Who cares!?" she snapped.
"The Mite isn't our enemy; it's just…trying to survive!" Della explained.
"She put herself in danger, faced unknown threats, scoured this entire planet for any scraps of metal to feed her child." Lunaris added.
Della took a look at the photo of her, Donald and Scrooge in front of her eggs. She now understood why the Mite did what it did. It was to help her family survive through the horrors of the moon and keep it safe. Della gave the Mites expressions of sympathy and sorrow.
"Because a mother would do anything for the sake of her kids." she said knowingly.
Lunaris smiled at Della's kindness while Penumbra just crossed her arms in frustration.
Donald's expression matched Lunaris'. "Good on ya Dell…" he said softly.
Della walked forward, taking out the gold tooth in her pocket and holding it out to the light. The Mite's antenns glowed and pointed to the gold being offered. The both of them approached each other and Della almost tearfully offered the gold while bracing herself for an attack. To her surprise the Mite gently took the gold and triefto feed it to her child.
The baby's antenna glowed but it continues to cry. Della tilted her head, seeing that feeding gold wasn't going to be enough to soothe the agonised baby. She approaches them as an idea came to mind, causing Lunaris and Penumbra to gasp at the danger she was putting herself in.
But Donald saw the look on his sister's face. "Della… whatever you're doing… please be careful…" he said worriedly.
Della approached the Mite as it turned to her growling and she gestured to it to calm down.
"Let me try something. I used to sing this old song to my boys before they hatched." she said.
Donald's eyes widened. And then he smirked. "Oh I know what she's gonna do… this will work in a pinch…" she said to himself.
Della jumped on the remains of her rocket, bending down to gaze in sorrow at the crying baby as she prepared to sing.
(Della's Moon Lullaby plays)
Della: Look to the stars my darling baby boys,
Life is strange and vast,
filled with wonders and joys,
The baby stopped crying and listened to Della's song as the female duck stared at her with a tearful smile.
Della: Face each sun with eyes clear and true,
Unafraid of the unknown because I'll face it all with YOUUU.
Donald looked on proudly at his sister, tears in his eyes as he wiped them away.
"Nice job… (sniffs) sis…" he managed to softly say, trying to wipe his tears away.
After singing that beautiful song the Baby Mite stopped crying and Della herself crieds, wiping away her tears as the mother steps up and offers the gold. This time the Baby Mite atr it up. Della jumped down to meet with Lunaris and Penumbra.
"Quick, give me your guns." she told them,
Lunaris saw what she was intending but Penumbra didn't.
"Ooh, good plan. Lure the beast into a false sense of security only to betray it when they're at their most vulnerable. They both toss their guns to her and she goes to the Mite." Penumbra mused. "Huh, maybe we are becoming best friends."
Donald facepalmed at the lavender alien's words.
Suddenly the Mite began to detect more gold and saw Della offering the guns as food much to Penumbra's disappointment as the mother took them both. She fed one to her child and ate one for herself.
"BOOOO! You disappoint me in every way possible!" Penumbra shouted.
"Nah. I think she's doing ok." smiled Donald.
The Baby Mite latched onto its mother as she began to take her leave with her child. Della turned up and the Mites turned to a sign of peace and tranquillity with the people whom they thought of as their enemies. The eyes of the Mite and its baby turned light blue, showing their gratitude. Della nodded before waving goodbye and the Baby Mite returned it. The mother burrowed further underground and headed for home.
Lunaris walked up next to Della with relief and gratitude.
"We fought the Mites for cycles and you turned them back not through battle but compassion." he told her. He exchanged happy looks with Della. "If we simply share the gold we'll no longer be at war with the beasts!" He places a hand on her shoulder in gratitude. "You have done the Planet Moon a great service today Della Duck!"
Della proudly accepted the praise, happy to have stopped a war.
Donald could only look at his sister proudly. "That's my sister… What a spitfire." he said proudly. He wanted to talk to her. But he risked damaging the timestream if he did… and he didn't want a repeat of 1985A just in case.
Della then felt saddened from what it had cost. Seh gave the last amount of gold she had to the Mites to stop them from their attacks. She walked inside the remains of her rocket and dropped to her knees from seeing the damage done as she was forced to face the sad reality of it all. She looks at the picture of her family in sadness.
"Donald…I'm sorry…I've failed you…there's no way I can fix this. Sorry boys…I tried…" she said sadly.
Tears streamed down her face as she hugged the photo.
Donald stealthy moved over to the Spear of Selene. He really wanted to comfort Della. He felt bad that his sister felt so downtrodden and defeated.
But Lunaris beat him to the punch as he walked over to the pilot duck, bent down with a hand on her shoulder in sympathy.
"You might not be able to go home but that doesn't mean you can't make a new one with us." he said.
He held out his hand and in an act of gratitude for the offer Della took it before standing up. He escorted Della out the rocket and joined up with Penumbra.
The three began to walk away.
Donald smiled at the scene. "I'm glad you had two people looking out for you here on the moon Della." he smiled.
Suddenly, he disappeared in a flash of light.
The trio looked behind them.
"Did you guys see that flash otu fo the corner of your eyes too?" asked Della.
"Yes I could've sworn I saw it." Lunaris said, confused.
"Watch your backs just in case." advised Penumbra as they continued on.
Scala ad Caelum:
Ven landed against the ground. He groaned as he got up… and found himself standing on both of his feet.
"What…?" Ven asked in surprise when he saw that he was back in his human form. "What happened? Why am I human again?"
Ven then took in his surroundings in surprise. He saw that he was in a town. It was a noticeable white color with various buildings all around.
"What the heck…? What kind of town is this?" he asked. He looked around. No one was in sight.
Ven rubbed the back of his neck as he took in his surroundings.
"This doesn't make any sense… one moment I'm helping take on Zira's lionesses… and now I'm here." he said to himself. He paused. "This place feels… familiar somehow… but I can't put my finger on it… but why?"
Ven then came across a building when he felt something in his heart.
"Why does this feel… familiar?" he asked.
Ven summoned Wayward Wind and aimed it at the door. A beam shot out into the keyhole and a lockign mehcanism was heard. Ven opened the door.
"I hope this doesn't count as breaking in… I just need to know why I feel this…" he said to himself.
Ven walked down a hallway. Then he could've sworn he heard two people talking in one room.
Curious, Ven listened in and heard the voices come from a slightly ajar door. The brunette tip-toed over to the door and ever so slowly opened it.
There he saw two young teenage boys sitting on a windowsill playing a game that looked similar to chess.
One boy had black hair in an upper ponytail and pale skin and was playing with the wite and silver pieces. The other had silver streaked hair with some of it sticking up in the back and had tanner skin and was playing with the black and gold pieces.
Ven looked at them as they played. They looked so familiar. Their hairstyles sparked something in Ven's memory. His eyes then widened.
He hid behind a large mystic artifact as he looked at them.
"Xehanort…? Master Eraqus…?" he softly gasped. "They look so… young…!"
"Have you ever heard of the ancient Keyblade War?" asked Xehanort.
"Huh?" Eraqus asked. "Of course I have."
Xehanort moved one black piece and took a white one. "Long ago, Keyblade wielders waged a war over ownership of light." he explained.
Eraqus moved a white piece and took a black piece. "Yeah, the Master's favorite story." he nodded.
"I wonder what they planned on doing with Kingdom Hearts after… making it appear." mused Xehanort as he took other white piece.
"Who knows?" shrugged Eraqus. "I don't get why anyone would initiate a war."
Ven scowled. "Just to summon a dangerous Keyblade…" he murmured to himself.
Xehanort took another piece. "So… you know the 'Lost Masters'?" he asked.
"Who?" Eraqus asked.
"Lost Masters…?" Ven whispered in confusion.
"They're the ones who started the Keyblade War." Xehanort explained, makign Ven softly gasp and listen in.
"Never heard of 'em." Eraqus shrugged as he moved a white piece and took another black piece. "Where'd you hear about that?"
"Or...they're the ones for whom the war started." Xehanort said mysteriously as he moved another black chest piece and took a white one.
"I'm not following you." said Eraqus as he moved one white piece.
"You can drop the facade." said the silverhead as he moved one piece and took another white one.
Eraqus reached out to grab another when he paused. "'Facade'?" he asked, confused.
"'On that land shall darkness prevail and light expire.'" Xehanort recounted. "A prospective Keyblade Master should know this." he added as he took another white chest piece.
"If you say so." shrugged the paler boy.
The silverhead looked up where a Keyblade stood hanging on the wall. The Gazing Eye Keyblade.
Ven looked up at it as well and gasped, almost losing his breath.
"Master Xehanort's Keyblade…" he whispered.
"The Gazing Eye sees the fate of the World." Xehanort noted. "The future - it's already been written."
Eraqus held up a white piece. "Really? I'm not so sure about that." he said skeptically. "Besides, who's to say that I can't change it? And maybe light will prevail." he countered.
Ven couldn't help but smirk at his future master's confidence. He could almost see bits of himself and Sora in him.
Xehanort chuckled as he held up a black piece. "Pretty confident." he said. He then placed his piece down and took another white one. "But things aren't in your favor."
"Perhaps." said the future master of the Land of Departure as he moved one white piece and took a black one. "But unlike darkness, there's more to light than meets the eye." He looked up at Xehanort. "You might be surprised." he said with a small smile.
Xehanort looked up, revealing he had silver eyes instead of the gold ones. "Oh I hope so." he said with a small smirk.
"It's true…" Ven whispered to himself.
Ven looked closer at the chess game. He studied the pieces closely.
"Light pieces… dark pieces… light vs. dark." he mused. He then paused as he studied the scene before him again. "Master Eraqus… Master Xehanort… light vs. dark… like the… second Keyblade War…! It's like… they're playing as us all… even back in their youth…!
The two young versions of the masters suddenly paused.
"Did you hear something?" asked Eraqus.
"Yes I did…" Xehnaort said, his eyes narrowing.
Ven's eyes widened as he froze in place. 'Oh no.' he thought.
The two apprentices to Master Odin got up anbd off the windowsill and looked around the room.
"Say did we leave the door open?" asked Eraqus.
"Huh? Oh. I thought it was closed…" Xehanort said, confused.
'I gotta get out of here.' Ven thought to himself. He then spotted a paperclip on the floor. He picked it up and tossed it to the other side of the room.
Eraqus and Xehanort heard it.
"Who's there?!" Eraqus called.
"Vor? Bragi? Urd? Hermod? Baldr is this some kind of joke?" Xehanort called as they scanned around the room.
Ven tip-toed out of his hiding spot… and bolted out the door.
Eraqus and Xehanort turned around and saw the door open.
"Hey! Who's there!? Get back here!" yelled Xehanort.
The two ran down the hall after Ven. But just as they turned a corner there was a bright flash, making them cover their eyes.
When the light faded, they saw that no one was in front of them.
"That was weird…" said Eraqus.
"Where did they go?" asked Xehanort.
"Hmm… it was either an intruder, a prank, a spell gone wrong… or the power's acting weird." guessed Eraqus.
Xehanort snorted in amusement. "Maybe it was one of those four… but all seems calm now. Come on, let's get back to Alba & Ater ."
Eraqus grinned. "That's the best idea I've heard all day."
Xehanort rolled his eyes in amusement as the two walked back to the room where their unique chess game awaited them.
Daybreak Town, Clocktower:
Myde uncovered his eyes from the bright flash. When he pulled his arms away, he was surprised to see that he wasn't in the Pride Lands anymore. He was in a dark building with light shining through stale glass windows.
"Uh… ok…?" the Meledious Nocturne said in confusion. "Where am I? How did I get here?!"
He carefully walked around until he saw that he had been behind a bookshelf. Myde scratched his head in confusion until he heard voices.
"There's a traitor among us."
"Huh?" the mullet-haired man said in confusion as he peered out amongst a stack of books.
There in front of him were five people sitting or standing around a table.
One of them was Master Ava.
One was a muscular young man who hid his face under a dark grey bear mask. His tan, hooded cloak covered a robe, shirt, and sash that were all light brown in coloration and had black embroidering. Gold tassels appeared on the front of his cloak. It was Master Aced, leader of the Ursus Union.
Another was a boy who hid his face under a white leopard mask. His pale yellow, hooded cloak covered a robe, shirt, and sash that were all yellowish-tan in coloration and had dark grey embroidering. Light blue tassels appeared on the front of his cloak. It was Master Gula, the Leopardus Union leader.
The last male one was a young man who hid his face under a white unicorn mask that had a gold trim. His white, hooded cloak covers a robe, shirt, and sash that were all light blue in coloration and had gold embroidering. Gold tassels appeared on the front of Ira's cloak. It was the leader of the Unicornis Union, Master Ira.
The last one was female like Ava. She was a young woman who hid her face under a blue snake mask. Her light blue, hooded cloak covered a robe, shirt, and sash that are all a darker shade of bluish purple. Turquoise tassels appear on the front of her cloak. This was Master Invi, the leader of the Anguis Union.
Invi and Ava were both sitting in chairs, Aced and Ira stood around the table, and Gula sat on the table facing away from them.
"Are you certain? What proof do you have?" Invi asked.
Ira held out his hand and conjured a Chirithy out of light. "I found this sniffing around." he said.
"Is that...a dark Chirithy?" Ava gasped.
Everyone looks at Invi who stood up. "Is that...a Nightmare?"
Myde stared at the group through the stack of books as they talked. "Who are these guys…?" he asked himself. He paused. "Why do they look and sound… almost familiar?"
He studied the Chirtity Nightmare as Invi and Ava called it. "Is that some kind of cat?" he asked, scratching his head.
Myde then looked at his surroundings. Gears were almost everywhere.
"Am I in a… clocktower?" the Melodious Nocturne asked himself.
"It's not me." Aced said firmly.
"There's an easy way to solve this. If we all summon our Spirits, then we'll know." said Gula.
"Unfortunately, there are countless wielders in our Unions. It would be easy for any of us to summon a Chirithy that isn't a Nightmare." said Invi. "I'm afraid that your suggestion wouldn't help us get to the bottom of this."
Ava stood up and placed her hands on the table. "Yeah, in that case, who's to say that the Nightmare you saw belongs to one of us? It could belong to anyone in our Unions." she countered.
"That's highly unlikely. Do you recall the tool the wielders were given in order to make them stronger?" Ira asked. "We generally don't concern ourselves with what they have at their disposal." Ira paced and then placed his hands on the table. "However-I believe those tools were the Nightmare's doing."
"The bangles? I know when they're equipped, they have the power to collect dark energy, but I thought we all agreed that was okay." said Ava, confused.
"Collecting is fine. But using that power is the equivalent of using the power of darkness." replied Ira.
"That doesn't sound good…" Myde murmured to himself. "Sounds like Xemnas' Kingdom Hearts…"
Gula sighed. "It's a brilliant plan. Everyone knows that all Spirits look the same, and wielders exist in spades. There's no way to tell."
"Oh, no. Everyone's already equipped their bangles." Ava groaned.
Aced stepped forward. "So what now? How do we find out who's behind this?" he demanded.
"Seeing as those bangles couldn't have been acquired by just anyone, I believe it's one of us here in this room." said Ira.
"No, Ira. I respectfully disagree. What proof do we have that the bangles are tied to the power of darkness, or if a Nightmare is to blame? We shouldn't simply jump to conclusions." countered Invi.
"Ira. Some leader you are. You've managed to plant seeds of doubt in all of us with that speech." retorted Aced. "What? Did you expect the traitor to give themselves up with that accusation of yours?"
"There's a traitor in the group…?" Myde whispered, surprised.
"That was foolish." Aced snorted.
Ira looked affronted.
"Aced, that's quite enough." Invi said firmly.
Ava looked worried and sat back down.
"It looks to me like the Master made the wrong choice." Aced huffed as he started to leave.
Invi stood up. "Wait. Where do you think you're going?" she asked.
Aced said nothing as he walked out the door.
"Oof, tensions are high…" Myde whispered.
Gula started to follow suit. "I think we're done here. I trust you'll keep us all updated." he said as he left.
"I hope... I hope we can all resolve this soon…" Ava said, bowing as she left as well.
Ira and Invi were all alone, not having noticed or even sensed Myde behind the stack of books in the corner.
"That didn't go as expected." said Ira.
Invi looked at him. "What's wrong, Ira? This isn't like you."
"A Lost Page... Something's missing from our Book of Prophecies." he said, walking over to his desk and examined his copy of a Book.
"Book of Prophecies?" Myde whispered, almost knocking over some books as he leaned in quickly pulling them back.
"Each of our copies were said to contain the events of the future. But this incident, well, it's nowhere to be found." said Ira.
"And how does this whole thing with the traitor tie together?" asked Invi.
"Like I said, it's nowhere to be found...in my Book." Ira replied.
Invi gasped and opened her own copy of the Book. "Ira. Are you implying that someone is in possession of the missing page? And the person with the complete Book is the traitor?" she asked her fellow Forteller.
"There is something going on, and a page is suspiciously missing from the Book." Ira replied. "It's not so far-fetched to assume that the one who has the Lost Page has been turned, that they have fallen into the hands of darkness. Trust me."
Invi looked in her book. "There seems to be no record of it in my Book either." she said as she walked around. "You may be onto something. I wonder... Could this have been the Master's plan all along? To grant the Lost Page to only one of us."
"We have no way of knowing. The Master is gone." Ira said solemnly.
"I understand what you are saying. I promise to keep a close eye on the others. I will keep you informed, as always." promised Invi.
"Thanks." Ira said, looking at her.
"Of course. After all, that is what the Master asked of me." Invi said as she started to walk away. She then stopped, faced Ira, and placed her hand on her chest. "And Ira, may your heart be your guiding key."
"That is a nice saying…" Myde murmured, listening in more… accidentally knocking over more books.
Ira and Invi looked over.
"Did you hear that?" Ira asked.
"Yes I did." said Invi.
He placed his book back on the table. "Is someone there?" he asked.
"You're not allowed to be in here." Ira firmly called. "This room is for the Master's apprentices only!"
Myde gulped as he hid behind a stack and backed away behind the bookshelf.
"Please show yourself. We're not gonna harm you." said Invi.
A bright flash immolated behind the stacks of books as the two masters looked behind them.
"That's odd… no one's there." said Ira.
"Perhaps it was only mice." suggested Invi.
"Hmm… possibly…" murmured Ira. "Yet I thought I saw a flash… may have been the sun though…"
"Stranger things have happened." said Invi.
With that, she took her leave, leaving Ira all alone in the conference room.
Duckburg, McDuck Manor:
Goofy skidded against the carpet and hit his head agasint a wall. He got up, rubbing his head.
"Gawrsh. What a landing." he quipped as he got up and rubbed his head. He then noticed that he didn't have a tortoise foot. It was his regular gloved hand. "Hey when did I become a dog again?" he asked.
Goofy then blinked as he looked up at his surroundings.
"And when did I get to Scrooge's fancy manor?" he added, scratching his head. "Hmm… did I get knocked out again in the fight and I was taken here to get better and all that?"
Goofy looked around and then thought he heard voices.
"Hmm? Is there some feller here?" he wondered out loud.
Goofy wandered around until he arrived at the top of the stairwell.
There stood Sora, Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Lea, Xion, Isa, Hayner, Pence, and Olette across from Huey, Dewey, Louie, Webby, Lena, Violet, April, May, June… and a latina duck girl with dark wavy red hair tied into a ponytail. She wore a jade green bomber jacket with a small blue pin with a white 1 on it, a hooded lavender T-shirt underneath, black jeans, and white boots.
"Wonder what's going on here?" Goofy wondered. "Why are Sora and the others here with the kids when we should be in the Pride Lands?... and why is Launchpad's friend Gosalyn here? I thought she was back in St. Canard with Launchpad's old roommate Drake."
"So what did you wanna see us for?" asked Louie.
"And why are only you guys out of your team here?" asked May.
"We gathered you guys here because we want to do something for you guys." said Roxas.
"What kind of something?" asked Lena.
"Are we all getting go karts?!" Dewey asked excitedly.
"No actually." Kairi replied.
"You ten showed such bravery against all the villains that tried to seize control of Disney Castle." said Isa. "And in St. Canard as well."
"Well some of us did learn from the best." Webby replied.
"Even if some of us weren't born to fight, we knew what we had to do in order to fight for what was right." said Violet.
"Ever since we started going on adventures with Uncle Scrooge, danger lurks behind us wheter we solve mysteries and look for treasure." said Huey.
"No matter how scary it was… nowadays it would be worth it in the long run." added Louie.
"Whether it was in our time or in the past." added April as her sisters giggled at the memories of the Quackmore Institute.
"And now it looks like danger is coming for us." muttered June.
"But even then, we still know how to fight back, fighting for what is right." said Huey.
"You guys sure have come a long way since then." said Xion.
"That's thanks to our family and all of you guys." Dewey replied with a smile.
"Fighting all those bad guys and protectign the innocent feels good." said Gosalyn.
"Who would've thought the battle between light and darkness, while crazy bonkers freaky, would be so cool!" said May.
"Is that what you all wanna do in the future?" asked Lea.
The 10 kids looked at the 10 Keyblade Wielders.
"Whaddya mean Lea?" asked Dewey.
"Do you wanna keep on fighting? To protect the ones you love?" asked Roxas.
The ducks and hummingbird traded glances.
"Well… I'm not really one for fighting… unless it's play fighting with my brothers, but that's different." said Huey.
"I'm always up for sparing." said Webby.
"But… if it means protecting the innocent, defending people we love and care about the most… then yeah I guess we would be." said May.
"Only if we have to as well." Violet chimed in.
"And it does feel good benign strong for them too." said Dewey.
"I know now there's more to life than riches and fame… it's the family and friends that help and support you to get there." said Louie.
"Yeah. Otherwise you'd truly have nothing in the end." said June.
"Bad guys are always a scourge in my hometown. I wanna fight to protect it like Dad." said Gosalyn.
"I used to be a bad guy thanks to Magica…" Lena sighed before smiling. "But I have a new lease on life… and I'm not gonna waste it being a villain… being good feels good after all."
"It feels nice being heroes… genuine, good-hearted heroes." smiled April.
"And that's worth it in the long run." said May.
"So I guess, if we ever had to… we would keep on fighting." said Webby.
"To protect things that matter. Family, friends, our home, and maybe more." Huey finished.
The Keyblade Wielders looked at the kids proudly.
As did Goofy as he hid behind the stairwell wall. "Gawrsh… they've really grown up so fast… just like my Maxy…" he whispered.
"We know that feeling." said Sora. "We too wanna protect the ones we love."
"And fight for what's right." said Kairi. "Make sure the darkness never extingushes the light. And let them both co-exist."
"The four of us had a new lease on life when we were restored." said Roxas.
"And we made sure they never went to waste," said Xion.
"As well as make any amends for anything bad we did," said Lea.
"And continue to do so whether in our own world or beyond it." said Isa.
"And protecting people and helping others do that is why we became Keyblade Wielders," said Hayner.
"We didn't wanna be on the sidelines anymore," said Pence. "We wanted to fight evil."
"And protect not just our home, but many more." added Olette. "And it was worth it in the long run."
Riku gazed out one of the mansion windows. "When I was a kid, Terra came to Destiny Islands. I had no idea why he did… but he knows he doesn't regret meeting me." he said. "I said similar words you all told us. And that shows how you guys know how to be good… being tougher than the toughies, smarter than the smarties, and sharper than the sharpies. Not juft for yourselves, but for the good of everyone around you whenever you have to."
Riku walked back to the kids. "Huey, I'm impressed with how well you can try to be a good leader as the oldest. Looking out for your little brothers."
"I see the same in you April." said Olette. "You try to do good for your little sisters. Pretty wise I must say."
"Same applies to you Violet. Despite claiming you don't display emotions, you use your intelligence and good heart to help out. And that's what helped bring Lena back." said Roxas.
"And Dewey, I love your enthusiasm and strength." said Sora. "You never give up without a fight."
"Same with you Webby. You went from being basically trapped in a shell that was this mansion to exploring the outside world, seeking adventure with your friends, and fighting for the greater good." said Kairi. "You're a tough but friendly duckling and strong for your family."
"You got that in you as well May." said Hayner. "You try to be tough. And it pays off in the long run when you fight back against evil. Pretty cool."
"Louie, despite what you may thing, your sharp skills and schemes really do help out." said Lea. "Evil triplet or not, when you know you got to, you manage to use those schemes well for your family and friends." The pyro smirked. "Not so lazy after all huh?"
"Same with you June. Pretty cool how you can be sharp in your ownw ay too." said Pence.
"And Lena, while yes you were created to be a villain, you proved to be so much more than that." said Xion. "You are who you decide to be. And no one can tell you otherwise. That's a decision you're making for yourself. And you're pulling it off perfectly. You're no villain, you're a hero."
"And Gosayln, despite what you may think sometimes… you are a great kid." said Isa. "Because underntah that rambunctious behavior is a good person who wants to protect the ones she loves and fight for the greater good against all odds. You're following in your Dad's footsteps pretty well, but in your own way."
The 10 kids were all surprised, but flattered.
"It's all so true…" Goofy whispered.
"Wow guys that… those are the nicest things you've ever said to us." smiled Dewey.
"It was so sweet!" Webby cried, feeling like she was gonna cry.
"But why are you telling us this?" asked Huey.
"Because all of those things and eveythign that's happened recently proves… that you're worthy." said Sora.
The kids blinked.
"Uh… worthy?" asked Gosalyn.
"Worthy for what exactly?" asked Violet, perplexed.
Holding out their hands, Sora summoned Kingdom Key, Riku summoned Braveheart, Kairi summoned Destiny's Embrace, Lea summoned Flame Liberator, Roxas summoned Two Become One, Xion summoned Lost Memory, Isa summoned Blue Moon, Hayner summoned Phantom Green, Pence summoned Midnight Blue, and Olette summoned Dawn Until Dusk.
"Why did you summon your Keyblades?" asked Huey.
The 10 masters smirked as they held their Keyblades in both their hands and kneeled down, holding them by the blades and holding the handles out to the kids.
"If we had each talked to you specifically, come up in front of us." said Isa.
Confused, the kids did. Huey in front of Riku, Dewey in front of Sora, Webby in front of Kairi, Louie in front of Lea, Lena in front of Xion, Violet in front of Roxas, April in front of Olette, May in front of Hayner, May in front of Pence, and Gosalyn in front of Isa.
Goofy's eyes widened. He had seen this stuff before from when Mickey was being trained to be a Keyblade Wielder.
"Are they…?" Goofy asked, but trailed off when Sora spoke.
"In your hands, you each take the key in front of you." said the spiky-haired brunette.
"So long as you have the makings, then through this simple act of taking...its wielder you shall one day be." said Riku.
"And you will find me and/or us all, friend—no ocean will contain you then." said Kairi.
"No more borders around, or below, or above, so long as you champion the ones you love." said Lea.
"And that applies to all 10 of you." said Roxas.
"Now each of you, grab the handle of the Keyblade in front of you." said Isa.
"Just trust us." smiled Xion.
The 10 kids were surprised and traded glances. Huey grabbed the handle of Braveheart first. Dewey did the same with Kingdom Key. Louie hesitantly followed with Flame Liberator. Webby excitedly followed with Destiny's Embrace. Lena and Violet shrugged as they took the handles of Lost Memory and Two Become One. Gosalyn didn't hesitate to take the handle of Blue Moon. April, May, and June each respectively grabbed Dawn Until Dusk, Phantom Green, and Midnight Blue.
Goofy almost fell off his feet in surprise.
After about 7 seconds, the kids let go and the Keyblade Masters dismissed their Keyblades as they stood up back on their feet.
"So… what just happened?" asked June.
"Well we might as well just come out and say it." said Lea. "Congratulations you 10! You're now the successors of all 10 of us! Got it memorized?"
The kids' eyes widened.
"Y-Y-You mean we're…?!" Dewey asked in shock.
"That's right." nodded Sora. "When the time comes, you 10 are gonna be able to summon Keyblades of your own."
The kids gasped in shock and disbelief.
"You mean…!" Louie began.
"We're gonna be Keyblade Wielders?!" shrieked Webby.
"That's right!" Kairi smiled. "You proved yourselves worthy in our eyes."
"And we're very proud of you just like your family." said Riku.
Dewey, April, May, Webby, and Gosalyn screamed excitedly while Huey, Louie, Lena, Violet, April, and June were in shocked disbelief.
"First we get powers from Lena, then befriend a kid superhero, and now we're gonna get Keyblades?!" cried Dewey.
"That is so awesome!" Webby said giggly. "I always wondered what that would be like!"
"This is gonna be so cool!" said May.
"We felt the same way when Master Yen Sid agreed to let us become Keyblade Wielders." chuckled Pence.
"So, um, when will we have our Keyblades?" asked Huey.
"We asked the same thing." chuckled Hayner.
"You will be able to summon them when the time is right." said Xion.
"Trust us, it will happen," said Roxas.
"And when you feel it, call to your heart to do it." said Riku.
"Guess that makes sense." shrugged Louie.
"Yep. Sounds logical to me." said Lena.
"But do us a favor. Keep this a secret from the rest of the family." said Sora.
"And before you call us hypocrites after what went down recently, this one is meant to be a surprise." said Riku.
"Oh man our family members are gonna FLIP!" cried Dewey.
"Just like when we got our powers for the first time!" said Huey.
"Powers, weapons, Keyblades, badass fighting skills?!" exclaimed May.
"And magic in Lena's case." added Violet.
"If any villains try to fuck with us, we're gonna fuck them up right back." Lena smirked.
"I like that enthusiasm." Xion chuckled, shaking her head in amusement.
Goofy looked at the scene… and then smiled.
"You know… I think they're gonna do a pretty good job." Goofy hummed before he disappeared in a flash of light.
The group of 20 looked back at the stairwell.
"Did you guys hear that too?" asked Pence.
"Who cares?! We're powerful!" Dewey whooped.
Castle Oblivion:
Daisy landed on the ground with a thud. She groaned as she got up. She then looked up.
"Huh? Where am I? Where's Zira and her lionesses?" Daisy asked in shocked confusion. She then looked at herself and gasped. She was back to normal and in her world-travelling attire. "Quackers! I'm not a flying bird anymore!"
Daisy looked at the white hallway she was in. "Am I… in a castle?" she asked herself. "Or some other fancy building?"
Suddenly she heard something behind her. She hid behind a fancy statue and peeked out from behind it and gasped.
There stood Marluxia and what looked like a young version of Naminé.
"Marluxia…? Naminé…?" Daisy gasped.
At that moment, Sora, Donald, and Goofy suddenly ran in. They didn't spot Daisy. But she spotted them.
"Donald? Goofy? And why does Sora look so… young?" Daisy asked in surprise.
"You've defeated Axel." Marluxia mused before laughing. "The Keyblade's power-how I've longed to make it my own."
"Let Naminé go!" Sora demanded.
"You've no chance of winning." Marluxia said as he faced Naminé. "Naminé... Erase Sora's memory."
Naminé, Sora, Donald, and Goofy gasped. As did Daisy.
"But if I do that…" Kairi's Nobody trailed off.
"That's right. Sora's heart will be destroyed." Marluxia grinned.
"His heart, destroyed?" Goofy asked in horror.
"You can do that?" Donald asked in worry.
"I'd rather have preferred him unmarred, but he can be rebuilt-more to my liking with time." Marluxia replied. "Naminé, do it."
Daisy's eyes widened. "Marluxia… Naminé… memories… this is Castle Oblivion…" she said in shock. "But… how am I here…?"
"No. Sora forgave me even when I deceived him. So how could I destroy his heart? There's no way!" Naminé shouted. "I don't care what happens to me. I won't hurt Sora! I won't do it!"
"Then you will—"
"Do it, Naminé!" Sora shouted, cutting Marluxia off.
Naminé gasped, as did Daisy.
"I don't care! You can erase my memory!" Sora said.
"Sora, why'd you say that?!" Goofy asked.
"Because who will I look after if I don't have Naminé? So just do it! Erase my memories. Destroy my heart. I promised! I'll always protect you! You have to believe me!" Sora replied.
"Sora…" Naminé said in shock.
"I don't need any memories to take on someone like Marluxia!" Sora added.
Donald and Goofy looked determined. "You bet! Even if Sora forgets it all, Goofy and I won't forget!" said DOnald.
"Donald's right. He and I can remember everything for Sora!" Goofy added.
"See, I'll have all my friends' memories, so I can piece my own together again!" said Sora.
Daisy couldn't help but smile. Sora had such good friends by his side back then.
Marluxia scowled. "You ignorant fool. If Naminé uses her powers to erase your memory, you'll be nothing but an empty shell. Your heart will no longer be able to feel or to care. Just like Vexen's pathetic imitation of your Riku."
"Take another guess."
Sora, Donald, and Goofy were surprised. The Riku Replica appeared out of a pool of darkness in the air and slashed at Marluxia, who jumps backward to dodge as Naminé screamed.
"It can't be!" the pinkhead exclaimed.
"Riku!" Sora called.
"No. Just an imitation." Riku Replica replied.
"You're a shell-a shell who has had everything taken! Everything!" the Graceful Assassin yelled.
"What can you possibly think I ever had? Both my body and my heart are fake. But...there is one memory I'll keep...even if it's just a lie!" Riku Replica shouted. "Whether it was a phantom promise or not... I will protect Naminé!"
"Imbeciles…" Marluxia scowled as a flower petal fell from the air, turning into his scythe in his hand.
"You would knowingly shackle your heart with a chain of memories born of lies?" Marluxia asked as Sora readied his Keyblade. "You would be one who has a heart, yet cast aside your heart's freedom?
Riku Replica put his arm in front of Naminé.
"You turn from the truth because your heart is weak- You will never defeat me!" Marluxia shouted.
Sora and Marluxia fought as Daisy watched on.
"Even at the risk of losing his memories… Sora was able to protect his friends well…" Daisy murmured. She then scowled. "Even if it was the same man that made Naminé mess with their memories, including Donald's…"
After a moment, Sora defeated Marluxia as he was surrounded by flower petals as he disappeared in a wave of purple and white energy.
"Is he gone?" Donald asked.
Sora gave Donald a thumbs up. Donald nodded.
"You could say that."
Everyone was surprised. Marluxia reappeared.
"However, what you destroyed was merely an illusion of me." Marluxia smirked.
This made Sora cross.
"So what!?" Riku Replica retorted.
He tried to strike Marluxia, but it turned out to be another illusion.
"Another imitation." he grumbled.
They looked to the door up ahead.
"He's really...in there?" Sora asked.
"Yes." Naminé replied.
"I knew it. I can feel his power. It's trying to destroy my heart." Sora said.
"Gawrsh, we'll just take care of him together!" said Goofy.
"Sora! C'mon!" said Donald.
Sora faced the replica of his best friend. "Riku... Protect Naminé."
"You don't...mind?" Riku Replica asked in shock.
Sora smiled. "Should I?"
Riku Replica nodded. "All right."
Sora walked over to the door and everyone looked at it.
Daisy discreetly watched Sora go in. She wanted to see the man responsible for her future husband's memories being messed around with. As soon as the doors opened, there was a bright flash as Sora ran in. Naminé, Donald, goofy, and Riku Replica covered their eyes, not noticing Daisy run in after Sora.
Sora entered through the doorway and found Marluxia hovering in the air.
"Soon the emptiness will shatter your heart-here in this world of Nothingness!" Marluxia roared.
He waved his arm, and a tornado made of wind and flower petals surrounded him. Sora was pushed back from the pressure. He gasped as he sees Marluxia on top of a giant mechanical creature.
Daisy did as well as she hid behind a pillar.
"Oh… my… god…" Daisy gasped under her breath.
"As lightless oblivion devours you-drown in the ever-blooming darkness!" the old Organization's Number XI.
Daisy watched the battle ensue in front of her, making sure to dodge any attacks from Sora and Marluxia should they miss each other and nearly strike her.
"Come on Sora, you can do it!" Daisy said encouragingly.
Eventually, Sora managed to defeat Marluxia.
"Oh thank goodness!" Daisy breathed in relief when suddenly there was a rumble. "...Or not." she meekly said.
"Your hopes are doomed to the darkness!"
Marluxia transported Sora - and, inadvertently, Daisy - to another location; a blue void with white chains in the distance. Marluxia and Sora were on top of a large floating vehicle, and a giant angel holding a scythe was behind Marluxia.
Daisy was holding onto the chains as she watched Sora and Marluxia fight.
"Wow… Marluxia is a lot more powerful than I remember…" Daisy murmured. "Even for a Nobody whose powers are flower petals…"
After a while, Sora finally managed to defeat Marluxia in battle as he fatally struck him with his Keyblade.
"So this... This is the heart of a hero!" Marluxia cried.
Daisy watched as Marluxia screamed in agony as he, the vehicle, and the angel began to disappear.
Marluxia reached for Sora, but fades away into darkness and flower petals.
Marluxia was dead.
Sora just looked at the scene before him without a word before walking away.
Daisy watched him leave the room. "Well done Sora… that'll teach that rotten man to mess with people's memories… including my Donald's…" she said proudly before a bright flash of light made her disappear.
Radiant Garden, Hollow Bastion:
Oswald landed on his feet as the bright flash ended. He looked around at his surroundings, taken aback. Around him were blue crystalized mountains. And behind him looked liek a grey castle but with broken pieces of it and the mountain piled up on top of soem stairs.
"Huh? Where am I? What is this place?" Oswald asked in surprise. "This isn't Simba's Kingdom…" He looked down at himself. "And why am I back to my regular form?"
At that moment, he heard footsteps. Oswald ran behind some debris as Sora, Donald, and Goofy came down the stairs, but were stopped at the Castle Gate by Myde's Nobody form Demyx as he teleported in. He hesitantly readies himself.
"Sora? Donald? Goofy? Myde? They're here too?" Oswald asked in surprise. "And why's Sora in his old clothes?"
Demyx decided to be casual. "Hey, you guys are looking lively." he greeted.
"Scram!" Donald retorted.
"Didn't we catch you messing around in the Underworld? How'd a wimp like you get into Organization XIII?" Sora scoffed.
Demyx acted all scared.
Sora crossed his arms. "I bet you can't even fight." he huffed.
"Yeah, but we can!" Donald added.
"What is going on here?" Oswald asked. "Why's Myde back with the Organization, unless…" the Lucky Rabbit trailed off in shock. "I… Did I went back in time…?"
Demyx wagged a finger. "You shouldn't judge anyone by appearance."
Sora, Donald, and Goofy ready their weapons. Demyx turned around, looking worried.
"I told them they were sending the wrong guy..." he groaned.
"Huh. Guess he really wasn't much of a fighter back then." Oswald commented from his hiding spot.
"Who is this kook?" Sora asked in disbelief.
"Remember, the Organization's made up of Nobodies." Goofy told Sora.
"Right no hearts!" Sora nodded.
Demyx turned back around. "Oh, we do too have hearts! Don't be mad…" he said.
"You were right Demyx…" Oswald said quietly. "You just didn't know it at the time."
"You can't trick us!" Donald scowled.
Demyx turned around again, and then his face went dark and firm as he pointed at Sora.
"Silence, traitor." Demyx said darkly.
Sora was taken aback.
Even Oswald was surprised at how Demyx sounded.
A dome of water appears around the Melodious Nocturne. He stretched his hand up to the pinnacle and the dome turned into a bubble in his hand. The bubble exploded and forms his sitar. He grabbed it and spins it around, pointing at them with a smirk on his face.
"Dance, water! Dance!" Demyx shouted as he began to play his sitar.
Oswald watched Sora, Goofy, and Donald fight Demyx and his water clones. He was surprised by how hard it was for them to keep up with the battle.
"Wow… Myde really was capable of being a good fighter…" Oswald said in surprise. "He really is full of surprises whether he's Myde or Demyx…"
Eventually after a lengthy battle with the trio victorious once more, Demyx panted as he fell to his knees and his sitar disappeared. Demyx was devastated and horrified.
"No way!" Demyx screamed as he faded away in a wave of water.
Oswald could only look on sadly at Demyx's death. While he was part of the Organization the first time, he truly wasn't a villain. All he wanted was his heart back.
"Anyone from the Organization who'd like to be next?" Sora called, making Osweald snort.
"Hey, Sora! Don't antagonize them!" Donald said.
"Yeah, we gotta go help our friends out first." reminded Goofy.
"Oh. Sorry." Sora said sheepishly.
"Then let's go!" Donald said.
Theory began to walk off when…
"Aha! There you are!"
They stopped, wide-eyed and turned around. Mickey, donning a black coat, walked up to them and crossed his arms. Sora, Donald, and Goofy looked down at the ground.
Oswald couldn't help but feel bad for the trio since while they did want to help Leon and the others, they did disobey the kings orders. Mickey told him about this. But Oswald's worry faded as Mickey managed to smile. He knew why they were doing this. And he couldn't blame them.
"You sure have lotsa friends to help." Mickey commented, making Sora, Donald, and Goofy smile in relief. "So, I guess we better all pull together and finish this battle for good!" the king declared.
Sora, Donald, & Goofy straightened up. "Yes, Your Majesty!"
Mickey chuckled as he walked ahead. Oswald then spotted a Surveillance Robot Heartless fighting a Dusk on the ledge above. It shot out a beam, which missed the Dusk and sent debris in all directions. Oswald and Goofy noticed a large rock heading straight for Mickey.
"Oh no!" Oswald gasped.
"Look out!" Goofy cried as he pushed Mickey out of the way, and was knocked in the head by the rock. He fell to the ground and slid against the cliff.
Oswald gasped in shock at the scene as Sora, Donald, and Mickey ran over to Goofy as he lay unconscious.
"No…" Mickey said in horror, stopping in his tracks.
Sora and Doanld knelt by either side of Goofy and tried to shake him awake.
"Hey! You're the King's Captain! You gotta get up!" said Donald.
"C'mon, wake up!" cried Sora.
"I'm sorry about the ice cream!" Donald tried again.
But no response. Goofy wasn't moving. Sora, Donald, and Mickey paled as a horrible realization came to them.
"Goofy...?" Mickey barely managed to say.
Donald began to cry. "Ohhhh...Goofy…" he sobbed as he laid his head on Goofy's chest.
"This is not happening... It can't be happening... It can't…" Sora said in disbelief, his head falling as he felt like crying too.
Oswald could only look on in sadness. Sure Goofy was alive now… but seeing someone so jolly and lovable seemingly die before his friends after having saved one of his oldest ones from childhood seemingly die before them was heartbreaking. This wasn't like when Goofy died in the snap. Here he was just unconscious.
Whether he was in the past or not, Oswald wanted to comfort his little brother and his friends. But just as Oswald was about to come out of his hiding spot, Mickey suddenly made a fist and looked toward their objective.
"They'll pay for this." Mickey sneered angrily, taking Oswald aback.
Mickey whipped off his cloak, summoned his Kingdom Key D Keyblade, and ran ahead. Donald felt a surge of anger and ran after him. Sora stood up, took one more sad look at Goofy, and followed them, summoning Kingdom Key over his shoulder.
Oswald came out of his hiding spot as soon as they were out of sight. He ran over to Goofy.
"Goofy! Come on Goofy wake up! Your friends need you!" Oswald yelled.
Making sure this wasn't a true yet temporary death siutation, Oswald put his long ear agasint Goofy's chest… and got a heartbeat.
"Oh thank god…" Oswald said in relief. "He really was ok after all…"
At that moment, Goofy's eyes flickered.
"Huh? Did he regain consciousness?" Oswald asked in surprise.
Goofy suddenly shot up. Yelping, Oswald's ears spun like helicopter blades and flew to the top of the cliff. Goofy looked around in surprise and rubbed his head.
"Gawrsh… that really hurt…" Goofy mumbled as he managed to stand up. He chuckled a little. "Well I'm sure it'll go away! I do get bonked on the head all the time."
Goofy looked around.
"Say, where is everyone?" he asked, scratching the side of his head that didn't get bumped by the stone. He looked out to the exit. "Hmm, maybe they went into town to help our friends out!"
Goofy summoned Knight's Shield in his grasp.
"Hey wait for me!" Goofy called, running after his friends.
Oswald watched him go.
"Thank god he's ok… nothing can keep Goofy down." Oswald said with a relieved smile. "Huh. No wonder F.O.W.L. considered him a threat too." he mused as he disappeared in a flash of light.
Disney Castle:
Ortensia groaned as she rubbed her head.
"Oh geez what was that flash…?" she groaned. She paused. "Uh… why are my gloves back?"
Ortensia then realized she was on top of a bookshelf.
"Wait a minute… why am I up here? And not in the Pride Lands?" Ortensia asked, confused and a little scared.
Ortensia then looked down and was surprised.
Down below stood Mickey, Donald, and Goofy, wearing their KH2, mage, and knight attires.
And across from them right below… was Maleficent and Pete, holding Minnie hostage!
Ortensia gasped, covering her mouth in horror. "Minnie!" she almost screamed.
"Pete, you big thug!" Donald snarled.
Pete laughed. "'Thug' works for me. We all got a role to play, right?"
"Gawrsh, at least he's honest, in a dishonest way." said Goofy.
"Silence! No underling of mine shall be insulted so." shouted Maleficent.
Pete covered his mouth.
"I have great plans for dear Pete and for all the worlds...once I have taken them for my own." Maleficent said as Pete nodded.
"Then I've got bad news for you-that day's never gonna come." Mickey snarled.
"And it never will." Ortensia snarled from up above.
"Perhaps you should take a few moments to reconsider." Maleficent retorted. "Or does the queen's life mean nothing to you at all?"
"Mickey! Don't you listen to her! You can't let Maleficent have her–" Minnie cried before Pete covered her mouth tightly.
"No! Minnie!" Mickey cried before relenting. "All right, Maleficent. Tell us what you want."
"Let me see... Shall I begin with this world? I much preferred it in its darker, more ominous permutation." Maleficent mused.
"You said it. This place needs some lights-out time!" Pete said in agreement.
"You're lying, Maleficent. Not even you would go through this much trouble just for that." Mickey scowled. "What is it you're really after?"
Maleficent sighed and smiled. "Very perceptive. I presume you are familiar with Xehanort, the man who led me to discover worlds outside of my own?" she asked.
"You know him?" the king asked.
"As do you, I see." Maleficent replied. "Yes, he shared everything with me-how to go about winning a heart over to the darkness, and, most gloriously, about the seven hearts of pure light-the ones that would grant me the power I need to conquer all worlds. However, the worlds were too complex, too much for even me to contain. It seemed I had miscalculated. Then it came to me-of course! I could go about conquering other worlds in my own manner."
They glared at her.
"You do have the "data" for all the worlds, do you not?" Maleficent asked as Pete gave an evil chuckle. "And now you will hand it over to me."
"No!" cried Donald.
"Uh-oh!" Goofy paled.
"What do ya mean?" Mickey asked in shock.
"Don't you bozos pretend you don't remember. Me and Maleficent was trapped inside it." Pete replied. "Now cough it up!"
"Why do you want the data?" Mickey asked.
"I'm afraid that is no concern of yours." Maleficent replied.
Mickey struggled to contain his fury.
"Oh it is our concern when you fuck around with the other worlds you evil witch…" snarled Ortensia.
"Ah-ah-ah... Wouldn't want her Royal Minnie Mousiness to get a boo-boo, now would we?" taunted Pete.
Maleficent moved closer. "I see you have failed to recognize the futility of your situation. Very well…"
The orb at the end of her staff glowed.
"Uh oh…" Ortensia paled, getting ready to summon Zero/One.
"Face your doom!" Maleficent yelled as she sent a ball of fire at Mickey, Donald, and Goofy.
Suddenly, two charmas flew out of a corridor of darkness. One pierced the ground, blocking the attack sent at Mickey, Donald, and Goofy and the other caused Pete to lose his grip on Minnie.
Once free, Minnie counters with a Faith attack.
"Light!" she yelled.
Maleficent turned away as a pillar of light surrounded Minnie, knocking Pete to the floor. Mickey and Minnie rushed to each other and smiled in relief.
"Oh, Mickey!" Minnie exclaimed.
"Minnie!" exclaimed Mickey.
Ortensia was taken aback. "Lea?" she gasped.
Mickey, Donald, and Goofy summoned Kingdom Key D, Mage's Staff, and Knight's Shield as they and Minnie stood together against the evil villain duo.
"Maleficent...you lose!" Mickey said firmly.
Maleficent scowled.
Pete got up. "Say, uh, milady, I think the pipsqueak's right. We better hit the road!" he said worriedly.
As much as she hated it, Maleficent knew Pete was right. She touched the orb on her staff.
"I now know that what I seek lies within these walls. Trust that I will eliminate you in good time." she told them.
"And we'll be ready for you." Ortensia snarled as watched Maleficent walk into a corridor of darkness in the corner of the library.
"Hey! Wait for me! Maleficent? Waaait!" Pete cried as he ran after her.
The corridor closed behind him.
Mickey dispels his Keyblade and a hooded figure walked out of the shadows toward the chakram stuck in the floor.
"You used the darkness to get here? That was reckless." Mickey said as the man pulled the wheel out of the tile. Mickey's tone softened a bit. "But gosh, I didn't expect you to save us...Axel."
Said redhead held his chakram over his shoulder and smirked. "Axel didn't. My name is Lea. Got it memorized?" he smiled, pointing to the side of his head.
"Lea?" Donald and Goofy asked in confusion.
"I thought you said your name was Axel." said Donald, suspicious as Lea collected his other chakram as he dismissed them.
"Mickey, who is this?" asked Minnie.
"Axel-or Lea I guess, was a member of Xemnas' Organization." Mickey replied. "Donald and Goofy said he kidnapped Kairi, but also made amends as he helped them and Sora save her and all them of them from a bunch of of Nobodies."
"Yeah I remember that pretty well your majesty." said Lea. "Thought my life ended after that attack. Next thing I know, I'm waking up in Radiant Garden with Dilan, Aeleus, Even, and Ienzo… who you guys may have known as Xaldin, Lexaeus, Vexen, and Zexion."
"Only Xaldin rings a bell." said Goofy.
"But I thought you died!" said Donald.
"Ienzo said when someone loses their heart, said heart becomes a Heartless while their body and soul become a Nobody. And that's what happened to me and every person in Organization XIII." said Lea. "Xemnas scrambled the letters in our name around and added an X in. That's why I was told my name was Axel… or rather, my Nobody name."
"I see…" said Mickey.
"Well no matter what you did, you helped save us all." Minnie smiled.
"Yeah! You did it again Axel!" said Goofy.
"No it's Lea, not Axel." Lea grunted. He then leaned against the door. "But yeah, it was the least I could do." he smiled.
"How did you know we were in trouble?" asked Donald.
"And how did you know we were here?" added Mickey. "I don't think you've ever been to this world when you were in the Organization."
"Yeah! And we have the cornerstone to protect us from the darkness!" added Goofy.
"Ienzo helped me find you guys on Ansem the Wise's computer." Lea replied, walking around the library. "Guess your cornerstone was on the fritz or something since I used the darkness to get here earlier. I heard a commotion in here from behind those two doors and knew something bad was going down. So being a bit of a schemer, I formed a little plan to rescue you four from that witch and tub of lard cat."
The four toons were impressed. Even Donald had to admit that was clever. Reminded him a bit of Louie.
"Well… once again I gotta give you my thanks Ax-Lea." smiled Mickey.
"So why are you here to begin with?" asked Minnie.
"Figured you guys could use an ally by your side." said Lea. "The human forms of Xigbar and Saïx are missing, Braig and…. Isa…" Lea trailed off as if remembering something and then regained his senses. "And I feel like that with Fake Ansem and Xemnas dead, something big may be happening."
"Oh it is happening Lea." Ortensia murmured. "But we have many allies helping us…"
Ortensia then disappeared in a flash of light.
The flash appeared in the corner of the five's vision and they turned up to the top of the bookshelf.
"Anyone else see that?" asked Goofy.
"Not sure." said Donald.
"Probably a faulty light." Lea shrugged. He faced the group. "Anyway, do you know who I can talk to about helping you guys? I got a little… request in mind."
Mickey pondered to himself. "Hmm… I think I know just who." he said determinedly.
Pride Lands:
"...And the next thing I know, I'm back in the Pride Lands taking on Vitani." said Ortensia.
All 20 members were silent as they took in what they told each other.
"So Kairi, Myde, and I were in the same world, but at different points in time." said Sora.
"Yeah Master Ava was in them." said Kairi.
"I still can't take my mind off when I saw what the Beast was like in his human form, let alone his transformation to how I know him." said Riku.
"Aqua, Xion, and I were in Radiant Garden, even when it was known as Hollow Bastion." said Oswald.
"I still cannot believe I watched Sora died in order to save Kairi and the other Princesses of Heart." Aqua said softly.
"I'm just so glad he's here with us." smiled Kairi as she nuzzled Sora. Sora smiled and happily nuzzled back.
"I'm just glad Goofy getting dinged in the head by a freaking boulder only resulted in him being knocked out." said Oswald. "Hearing it is one thing but another seeing it."
"I'm still shocked I saw how Terranort, or rather, Ansem, created the Organization with members 2-8…" Xion shuddered.
Lea and Isa winced. "Yeah… I still shudder everytime I think about that." said Lea. "Dilan, Aeleus, Even, and Ienzo feel the same."
"Indeed. At least we had it better in two versions of Hill Valley." said Isa.
"I still can't get Buford 'Mad Dog' Tannen shooting Roxas, Sora, and Marty." Lea shuddered. "Thank god they had bullet proof vests…"
"I'm just you're ok after being trapped for so long Aqua." Terra smiled to the human-turned-snow leopard who smiled back and nuzzled him.
"Now I know why Simba was so traumatized…" Mickey murmured.
"And I know why Donald, Goofy, and Sora went through so much of a memory mess in Castle Oblivion." said Daisy.
"Even if we don't remember that, at least we have you guys to help tell us about it." said Sora.
"Crazy fight at the Keyblade Graveyard. I mean I knew Xehanort was powerful but I didn't think he had this much power to the point where he was able to lift pieces of earth from the ground let alone summon a cyclone of Keyblades," said Roxas.
"I can't believe I met a young version of our master and an even younger version of Xehanort!" said Ven.
"That Gozer and marshmallow giant was scary." shuddered Minnie.
"Now I know how Roxas felt when Xion died…" Naminé murmured.
"I'm glad I got to see Lea in his first stages of redemption." smiled Ortensia.
"Same here." said Max.
"And I'm glad Della had good friends by her side on the moon!" smiled Donald.
Myde meanwhile, was lost in thought for a moment as everyone else was talking. He was thinking about the place that he, Sora, and Kairi went to. Given their tales combined with what he saw he knew that something felt familiar of what the three had experienced.
"Hey Myde, is something wrong?" Sora asked.
Myde snapped out of his thought process as he turn towards the rest of the group.
"Ah...no, it's nothing." Myde answered.
"Usually that phrase means something is up. Is there something on your mind?" Isa asked.
Myde sighed before answering.
"Well, I'm just thinking about the place Sora, Kairi and I went to, there's something that feels familiar. What was the name of that place again?" Myde asked.
"Uh, I believe it was called Daybreak Town according to Sora. Why do you ask?" Kairi replied.
"Well, this might be crazy and I understand you guys might not believe what I would say. But do the stories that Sora, Kairi, and I were telling you guys about in regard to these Keyblade wielders, these Unions pitting against each other, and a traitor sound familiar to any of you guys?" asked Myde.
The rest of the Guardians pondered for a moment as they took note of what Myde has told them.
"Let's see...previous Keyblade wielders." Riku started.
"Unions battling against each other." Aqua continued.
"A traitor amongst them." said Terra.
Kairi after thinking about it for a few seconds let out a loud gasp which causes everyone to notice her.
"Kairi what's wrong?" Minnie asked.
"I just remember something, recall back when we were all in Atlantis, Kida's late father King Kashekim told us about the origin of the Keyblade War, how 5 Unions groups of Keyblade wielders turn against each other due to a possible traitor." Kairi explained.
It was then everyone's eyes went wide as they took note of that sudden memory with realization.
"So that means that in terms of where you, Sora, and Myde went..." stared Mickey.
"All three of us were sent to the past at different points in time...right before the first Keyblade War!" Sora finishes.
Everyone was silent with shocked looks on their faces as they took in this revelation. Three of their friends were sent back to a time prior to the original war that Xehanort is now currently trying to recreate.
"Well...this is mind-blowing." said Lea who snapped out from his shock state.
"You tell me." Isa remarked.
"Now that I think about it when I overheard the conversation between the younger Xehanort and Eraqus, the former did mention something about how the Lost Masters were the cause of the first Keyblade War. Based on what Sora, Kairi, and Myde told us, could those guys with the animal hoods be the true cause of it?" Ven asked.
"Maybe, but we don't know for certain, based on my talk with Ava, I don't think she would want the war to happen." said Kairi.
"That's true...when I saw Ava give her speech to those other Keyblade wielders, she told them to not fight but rather flee to the world outside. Based on what I can tell, I think it's safe to say that Master Ava in particular is not this 'traitor' that was foretold to us. But I can't say the same for those other four that Myde saw in his story." said Sora.
"I think one thing's for certain...at some point I think we need to look more into how the original Keyblade War began." said Terra.
"I agree. After what King Kashekim told us coupled with what some of us just experienced, this is something that definitely needs to be looked into." said Aqua.
Everyone nodded in agreement.
"Indeed, we should look more into this at some point when we get back home. But for now, perhaps we should shift focus on our conversation." stated Mickey
"Oh yeah, I almost forgot, you said you were at McDuck Manor Goofy?" asked Riku.
"Yeah! And what I saw, you wouldn't believe me if I told you!" said Goofy.
"We never usually do." quipped Myde.
"So what did you see?" asked Sora.
"Well I saw… Simba!" exclaimed Goofy.
"You saw Simba? I thought you were at McDuck Manor." Ven said in confusion.
"No Simba's here!" said Goofy.
Everyone looked and saw Simba enter the cave.
"Oh Simba! What brings you here?" asked Terra.
"Well the hunt has gone well," said Simba. "I should hutn with the lioness more often. Good exercise."
"So… what did you bring?" asked Roxas.
"Antelope." Simba replied. He paused as he looked at the paintings of the Lion Guards from Askari and his Lion Guard all the way to Kion and his.
"You still miss your son huh?" asked Lea.
"I do." Simba sighed. "I still hold onto hope he's ok."
"We know he is." smiled Naminé. "He's a strong lion from what we've seen."
Simba smiled a little. "Indeed." he frowned a bit. "But even then, the Pride Lands are still without a Lion Gaurd for the first time since I was a cub. I had no siblings and Scar killed his when they went against him."
"Well at least you got us." said Sora.
"Yeah, it's like you have 4 Lion Guards with you with 20 members." said Ven.
"That is nice." Simba smiled. "But I know you guys can't stay forever."
Mickey sighed. "I'm afraid that's right. Once we find the keyhole and seal it, we gotta head back to our world and continue to prepare for the Keyblade War." he said.
"I know… I just wish we had a Lion Guard until my son and his friends return." the Lion King muttered.
At that moment, the vines moved aside and Vitani came in. "Greetings King Simba. Keyblade Wielders." she greeted.
"Oh hello Vitani." Aqua greeted back. "What brings you here?"
"I heard Simba talk about the Pride Lands being without a Lion Guard with Kion at the Tree of Life." said Vitani before picking something out of her teeth with her claw. "And I was thinking of an idea as I ate a heaping hunk of antelope."
"Heaping hunk?" asked Donald.
"Hey when you lived in the Outlands there weren't that many big scraps of food to go around." Vitani replied, letting out a burp. *UUURRPP!* "Oof, that meat gets me going." she grunted.
"So what was your idea?" asked Max.
Vitani smiled. "I think I can lead my own Lion Guard in place of Kion's." she replied.
Everyone looked at her in surprise.
"Your own Lion Guard?" asked Sora.
"Why would you wanna do that?" askled Terra.
"Three reasons." Vitani replied. "One, I know the Pride Lands need a Lion Guard since Kion and his Guard journeyed to the Tree of Life. Two, as the future king's older sister, I feel like it would be my responsibility since Kiara has no other siblings. And three… I wanna redeem myself further since I was on Zira's side since she filled all oru heads with violence, dominance, and revenge."
Everyone traded glances.
"Well… those are valid reasons." said Isa.
"And you would be a good fierce leader." admitted Kairi.
"Hmm… that is a nice offer from you Vitani." Simba said, thinking it over. "But do you have any other members in mind to be the bravest, fastest, strongest, and keenest of sight?"
Vitani smirked. "Oh yes I do." she replied. "Follow me."
Vitani led the group of 21 out of the lair.
As they went outside, Vitani's friends were out in the Pride Lands doing some demonstrations.
Imara pushed a giant boulder with her head while barely breaking a sweat.
"Imara's the strongest." said Vitani.
Shabaha was facing down soem bees from a beehive. "I'm not scared of you! My bite is worse than your sting!" she smirked.
The bees charged at her, but Shabaha roared loudly, making them fly away.
"Shabaha's the bravest." said Vitani.
Kasi spotted a blue flower growing by a tree. She suddenly rushed over, yanked it wout with her jaw, and brought it back in 5 seconds.
"Child's play." she grinned.
"Kasi's the fastest." Vitnai said.
Tazama was in front of a dark den. She looked closely inside as she put her head in… and pulled out a baobab fruit.
"Got it!" she said with a stuffed mouth.
"And Tazama is the keenest of sight." Vitani finished. "She has night vision."
"Oh that is badass!" Myde grinned.
"Guess keenest of sight can be any unique kind of vision." said Xion.
"We wish to be the Lion Guard for the Pride Lands." said Vitani.
Simba thought it over. "Hmm… the Pride Lands do need one…" he said before frowning. "But I'm not completely sure... I mean, I appreciate the offer, but you don't have the Roar of the Elders like Kion does."
Vitani scoffed. "Your majesty please, I don't need the roar to be a leader." she said. "I'm more than willing to lead with or without it. Because I know how to fight and protect for a good cause now."
Simba hummed at that response. "Well, when you put it that way... I suppose we can give it a try…" he said.
Sora and Co. traded glances.
"Well… this is interesting." said Mickey.
"At least it's a good way for them to redeem themselves." said Minnie.
"How do you think Kion and the Guard are gonna react when they learn there's one taking their place?" asked Myde.
"I dunno… they're probably not gonna like it." Roxas said.
"Guess we'll have to cross that bridge when we get to it." said Sora.
In the distance, Maleficent, Pete, and Young Xehanort were watching in the shade of a large tree.
"So a new Lion Guard formed? That doesn't sound good." said Pete.
"It doesn't matter." said Maleficent. "No matter what Lion Guard there is, nothing stands in our way of launching this world into darkness."
"Zira will be recovering soon. Megavolt, Quackerjack, Liquidator, and Bushroot are looking for Nuka's body." said Young Xehanort before he turned toward Pete. "How's progress with recruiting the rest of our coming forces for our impending attack?" he asked.
Pete laughed before answering the time-traveling vessel. "It's going smoothly, myself and Mortimer have successfully recruited the rest of Makucha's army to our forces as well as some of Scar's army that are still loyal to him. Although, we still are trying to find the rest."
"And what about Shenzi and her clan?" Maleficent asked her subordinate.
"Do not worry Maleficent, Mortimer is currently tracking down their clans as we speak, once he finds them, he and I will get them to join up with us." said Pete as he smile.
Maleficent smirked.
"Good, as soon as everyone is ready and once we bring Scar back… the Pride Lands are doomed." Maleficent grinned as she opened a corridor of darkness against the tree. "Come. We have work to do."
"Indeed. Even the villains Glomgold has recruited are busy, being a part of his 'family' in his scheme." said Young Xehanort. "They should be at the manor by now…"
And the three villains went through the corridor as it close behind them.
To be continued…
FINALLY! This was one HELL of a fucking chapter to write! But I'm SO glad I got it done!
Up next, we see the Golmgold's GlomTales happen.
Wish me luck. I'll need it.
And that's right! The 10 kids from DuckTales and Darkwing Duck are gonna be bequeathed to be Keyblade wielders themselves sometime in the future! They just don't know it yet! Not even the ones who are gonna do it!
Only Goofy knows… and we can probably guess how that's gonna turn out when it happens.
Rate, review, and I'll see you all soon!
