And now the battle at the bin ends… with tension in the air…
Enjoy if you can…
Bin:
Louie was now stuck midair in Magica's blade, his body limp and unmoving.
"Is he…?" Dewey asked, unable to finish the question.
"He isn't moving…" gasped Huey, horrified.
"No…it can't be…" gasped Webby, remembering Lena's death.
"Lad…" Scrooge quietly called out.
Della choked in her tears and the adults could only remain speechless. The villains all watched in glee.
"Whoops. He died." Magica joked. "Lena won't be happy when she sees this."
With a swing, Magica tossed Louie away and now the evil triplet is falling down the air.
Della snapped out of her guilt. "LOUIE! I'M COMING!"
She rushed off to save her youngest son only for Magica to knee her into the ground via her stomach, causing her to scream in immense pain. Magica then stepped on her stomach to immobilize her.
"Do you really think you can save him, Della?" Magica chuckled. "Sorry, but I'm afraid it's too late for the both of you."
"NOOOOOOO!" Della desperately reached out to her youngest son. "MY BABY!"
"Lad!" Scrooge screamed.
"LOUIE!" The rest of the family screamed.
Louie fell down past the bridge and splashed into the water. His hand stuck out until it sunk and now the evil triplet was plummeting down towards the bottom of the ocean.
Della felt the pain of reality strike her mind. She felt something within her snap, making her growl at Magic laughing.
"How could you…do this horrible thing?" Della clenched her fists so hard they look like they would crack. "I'll make you hurt…I'll make you suffer!"
Magica was surprised to see a brown glow in her eyes.
"I WILL KILL YOU!" Della shouted in hatred.
Suddenly her biceps, abs and back muscles flex underneath her outfit and she releases a loud scream of rage that made a brown fiery aura explode from her and send Magica flying.
"What!?" Exclaimed Magica.
All the villains shield their faces and the McDuck Clan beaks are wide open in shock and amazement at what they are witnessing. Della now stands with brown fiery aura swirling around her, eyes glowing brown, muscles flexed underneath her outfit and her hair whipping up a little.
"No way!" Shouted Huey.
"MOM!?" Exclaimed Dewey.
"AUNT DELLA!?" Exclaimed Webby
"Bless me bagpipes! It cannae be!" Scrooge shouted in shock.
"It's just like with Mr D!" Launchpad pointed out, shocked.
"Launchpad's right! This is the same thing Donald did in the Shadow War!" Beakley agreed.
They remember how Donald looks when unleashing 20, 40, 50 and 100% of his true power. The blue aura of electricity being far different from the fiery brown aura surrounding Della.
Magica looks at Della, traumatised, memories of Donald defeating her plaguing her mind.
"Those eyes…she has those eyes…" Magica said in fear, as haunting images of Donald play out in her head.
Flashback:
She remembers the intense look in Donald's glowing eyes.
In his incomplete true power form.
And his complete 100% true power form.
Present:
That was the day of her greatest humiliation yet, the day she lost all her powers and was reduced to a powerless old lady forced to lower herself by working at Funzo.
"How could this be!?" Magica shouted.
Ma Beagle tried to yank Big Time latched onto her head.
"Get off me you moron!" Ma ordered, annoyed.
"But I'm scared Ma!" Big Time cried.
"Be scared somewhere else!" Ma demanded.
Bouncer, Burger and Beaks hugged each other, Flintheart and Karnage had their weapons ready.
Della looks at a surprised Magica with the intensity of a tiger.
"MAGICA! DIE!"
She flew forward and smashed her fist into Magica who gasps for air as she dug it deep into her stomach, then delivered a spin kick to the face, following it up with a barrage of punches in the stomach and then an uppercut that sends Magica flying off the bin's main entrance.
Della leapt to smash her foot into Magica's stomach, crushing her so hard into the bridge a small crater was made. Della shouted as she pummeled Magica with vicious punches to her face and she struggled to block them. She then grabbed Magica by the ankle, spinning her around before tossing her right into the air and sending her screaming before she banged against the bridge railing.
Della re-summoned Godslayer and flew high above Magica, holding her sword with a scream of anger and agony. Her energy was channeled and Godslayer became coated in a brown sword of energy that became insanely long. Everyone watching was in awe and Owlson finally fainteds from everything she had been forced to see.
"THIS ONE'S FOR LOUIE!" Della screamed.
She brought down her sword and Magica gasped in terror, quickly summoning her staff to hold it up and form a barrier. When the blade made contact, she screamed in pain as she was engulfed in light and a massive explosion of brown light occurred in the water that was visible to everyone who had their maws and beaks wide open in shock.
When it subsided, a mighty splash occurred and water dropped rain down on Della, her sword back to normal as she panted in exhaustion with energy still swirling around her muscular body. The ducks were all in awe.
"Whoa…that was awesome…" Said Dewey, stunned.
"I didn't know Mom could do that!" Huey admitted in shock.
"It's just like what Uncle Donald did in the Shadow War! And it was just as amazing!" Webby shouted.
"Curse me kilts..." Scrooge exclaimed. "It seems when the lass snaps and loses control of her emotions she seems to be able to unleash a vast reserve of hidden power!"
"Just like your nephew." Beakley added.
"But Ms. D isn't even a mage. How was she able to do that?! Launchpad asked. "Mr. D, I get, I mean, he is a mage. But…"
Launchpad had brought up a very good question. Aside from Yen Sid and Merlin, Donald was a pretty powerful mage. Being a special kind of mage, he's always had this power deep within him, especially when his father unlocked his magic before his death. It took him becoming strong enough and unleashing righteous rage to use this power, especially during the Shadow War. But Della… she's not a mage as far as they knew… was she?
Suddenly, Magica reappeared behind the exhausted female pilot.
"Missed me?" She asked.
Della gasped and turned her head only to be kneed right in the belly. Clan McDuck gasped and Clan Glomgold's terror turned into sinister glee when they saw Della gasping and screaming for air, losing her pilot hat, the aura and her muscles deflate in the process. Then Magica sent out a blast of energy from her staff that engulfed Della and she screamed in pain as she smashed into the barrier, screaming louder when she got electrocuted and dropped to the floor in agony.
"Della!" Scrooge shouted.
"Mom!" The boys called out.
Magica landed on the ground to laugh at Della as she got on her knees struggling to get up.
"Not bad. Perhaps you're not so pathetic without your brother after all." Magica mused as Della looked up. "This is the same power Donald used to defeat me in the Shadow War, albeit weaker but still… you know, Marluxia and Larxene told me about what you did on the Moon when you met them." Della gasped, widening her eyes at that. "Could you actually possess the gift Della?"
"What does she mean?" Huey asked, confused.
"Lass…could you actually be…?" Scrooge said, having an idea of what Magica's talking about.
"Oh well, doesn't matter." Magica shrugged mockingly. "As surprising as that was, you're no match for me either way, just like your deceased son."
Della growled in hatred before jumping at Magica, swinging her sword wildly only for Magica to float back while spinning her staff. The witch ducked a metal spin kick and when Della jumped to slice her she got kneed in the stomach one more before the top of her hair got grabbed. Della screamed in pain, and it got worse when Magica smacked her in the gut with her staff and electrocuted her.
She dropped onto the floor clutching her stomach in pain and Magica prepared to stomp her only for Della to roll out of the way and thrust her blade. Magica whacks it aside and Della is disarmed once again. She looks at her sword in shock allowing Magica to quickly summon her Necrosword and impale Della's body, causing Della to freeze in her tracks in shock, her family agape with horror.
After it all sinks in, Della releases a scream of horrible pain and agony. Magica cackles as then electrocutes Della once more, causing her to scream louder.
"MOM!" screamed Huey and Dewey.
"DELLA!" cried Scrooge.
"MRS D!" Launchpad yelled.
"MAGICA YOU BASTARD!" snarled Beakley.
When Magica removes her sword some of Della's blood spill as the pilot drops to her knees clutching her wound, groaning in agony. Magica doesn't let up, she kicks Della in the chin and grabs her again, this time slamming her face to the ground.
Magica snickers and when Della turns her head, the witch stomps the side of her face with the orb of her staff and now she's screaming in anguish as Magica crushes her and sends her dark energy surging through her face and body.
"Ah, it feels good to do this again." Magica relished Della's torment. "I haven't been able to do this since the Shadow War."
She presses harder and Della's screams get louder in response from the intensity and the burn, some of her veins being lit purple. The family trapped in the barrier are viciously struggling to escape their restraints while bashing against the barrier to help Della but to no avail and the villains laugh obnoxiously at Della's suffering as her face gets further pressed into the ground and her screams are at their loudest. The McDuck family could only watch in horror.
"This is awful! We gotta do something!" Launchpad shouted.
"Mom! Stay strong!" Dewey begged.
"Lass, no!" Scrooge shouted.
Magica laughed as Della screamed.
Underwater:
Unbeknownst to them, under the bridge, underwater at the bottom of the ocean was Lena, or rather, a transparent image of her. She opened her eyes and gasped in amazement at the beautiful scenery around her.
"Whoa! I'm underwater!" exclaimed Lena. "I should've brought my bathing suit." she then looks at herself. "Whoa. I'm all…ghosty."
"Lena. Can you hear me? Lena!" Violet called out with a tinge of desperation.
"Violet, is that you?" Asked a surprised Lena, recognising her voice. "Where are ya Sabrewing?"
"I'm at still at mansion, the spell allows us to contact each other telepathically. Your body is right in front of me." Violet explained.
"And my mind is here, it worked Vi." Lena declared triumphantly.
"Where are you?" asked Violet.
"It looks like I'm in the bottom of the ocean near the bridge." said Lena.
"Then Llewellyn must be there somewhere. He's in critical danger of staying underwater too long. Find him." said Violet.
"But I don't know where he his. I'm not even sure where to look!" said Lena.
"Just look for him! You can do it Lena!" Violet shouted.
Lena searched underwater, looking as far as her eyes could see.
"Come on Lou, where are you?" Lena said to herself.
Lena narrowed her eyes to see if she was missing something.
"Any luck?" asked Violet.
"No not yet." the magic duck replied. "But I can sense him… I can feel it… I-I don't know why I… I just do…"
While she didn't see it, she could also almost feel Violet smiling.
"That's because out of Uncle Donald's nephews, you have the closest connection to Louie." she replied. "You said it yourself to our Keyblade Wielding companions that you have some feelings for him."
Lena blushed, rubbing the back of her head as she walked. "Well yeah… l-like I said we have a lot in common and we scheme, play, and bond well together…" she said. "And aside from Webby he cares a whole lot about me… and I guess my crush on him has grown… an awful lot…"
"Use it. Use your love for Louie to find and help him!" Violet encouraged.
Lena blushed some more but she straightened herself and looked determined.
"Right. Hang on Louie, I'm coming to help you." Lena said, flying off.
After a while searching in the ocean, Lena soon found herself near the Bin. She gasped in sheer horror when she sees the beaten and battered Louie lying on the ocean floor unconscious.
"Louie!"
She flew over and managed to lift his head up, horrified to see what's happened to him and rubs his face. "Ohmygosh! Louie what's happened to you!? Please, be alright! Violet, I've found him! He's in really bad shape! It's like he was mauled by a tiger."
"Then we don't have a moment to waste! Heal him before it's too late!" Violet shouted.
"I'm on it!" Lena exclaimed. gently setting Louie down.
He has both his hands placed on his heart and Lena gently clasped on with a pleading and almost tearful look. "I won't leave you Louie, not like this! So don't you dare leave me!" She placed her hand above his heart. "Please work."
Purple energy radiated from her palm, and it engulfed Louie. His body swirls with energy and Lena gives it everything she got. Suddenly, his eyes jolt open, releasing a green glow.
Meanwhile, Magica continues crushing and electrocuting Della whose screams became more agonized.
She looks to see the fearful family. "Don't worry; you'll all get your turn soon." Magica snarked.
"Can we move this along? I have a victory dinner reservation." Glomgold asked.
"Fair enough. Lights out, Della. I'm sure Do-" Magica's gloating is suddenly cut off.
"DESTRUCTO DISK!"
Suddenly a large green energy disk soared towards Magica and she quickly brought up a barrier that bounces it up.
"Who did that!?" an outraged Magica demanded.
"That was Lena's move!" Webby exclaimed.
"But that voice was…" Dewey almost said
When everyone looks in the right direction, they become stupefied to see Louie standing on the nearest arch with his hand held out.
"Louie!" the duck kids said in unison.
"He survived!" Scrooge gasped in relief.
"He's alive!" cheered Launchpad.
"But-but how!?" Beakley stammered in both relief and bewilderment.
Clan Glomgold was gobsmacked.
"WHAAAT!?" Glomgold shouted, almost ripping his feathers out and his hat in two.
"No! It can't be!" Magcia shrieked in anger and shock.
"By the waves of Cape Suzette he's actually alive!" Karnage exclaimed.
"So how is he not dead!?" Beaks asked, terrified.
"Maybe it's some sort of ghost!" cried Big Time.
"Can ghosts do that?" asked Bouncer.
"I think they can!" said Burger, shaking.
Della was able to open her eyes enough to be able to see her son.
"Louie…?" she asked.
Louie holds up his hand, forming another large energy disk.
"Destructo…DISK! HA!"
He threw the disk and it split into ten smaller but powerful ones. Magica quickly switched out her sword for her staff and formed a barrier. The disks were powerful enough to push Magica away from Della and shatter it, sending her flying back. Louie blasted off from the arch, flying to the Bin and landing in front of his injured mother.
Della was able to lift her head up in relief. "Louie…you're okay… I thought I lost you…" she said in relief.
Louie said nothing as he phased through the barrier and punched the magical ropes tying his family, neutralizing them.
"Just do me a favor and stay out of my way. I'm finishing this fight." Louie ordered.
"WHAT?!" The family stood up in disbelief.
"Louie, that's crazy!" Della called out.
"Don't be daft lad!" Scrooge shouted.
"It's 8 against 1!" Dewey pointed out.
"I know." Louie smirked. "Glomgold should've recruited more than that. Oh, and by the way…" He gives Della a look of anger. She cringes in guilt when he rolls up her sleeve to reveal the bracelet device. "…This is what I think of your stupid countermeasures."
His free hand flares with power and he rips the device off before crushing it with his foot. Della's eyes were widened.
"Well, there goes another one of Gyro's inventions." Della commented.
The villains all looked at Louie, completely stupefied as he smirked.
"How are you still alive!?" Magica demanded, outraged. "I thought I you were-"
"I'm not." said Louie, cutting her off.
Louie held out his hand, his friendship bracelet glows and khopesh clatters. Both disappear and reappear in his hand.
Louie petted his khopesh, giving it a little kiss. "Did you miss me darling? Of course you did." he said to it. He then saw everyone looking at him strangely from that. He awkwardly cleared his throat and put on a determined face.
"Louie! How did you survive!? And since when could you use magic!?" Webby asked in shock.
"Lena saved me with her shadow magic. And so did Violet." Louie smiled fondly, thinking about Lena.
Back in the mansion when Lena's mind returned to her body, she gasped for air as she quickly sat up. Violet, who was kneeling beside her, reeled back a bit from that.
"Lena! Lena are you ok?!" the hummingbird asked.
Lena panted a little. "Yeah… Y-Yeah I am…" she said.
"Good. And what about Louie?" Violet asked.
"He's okay, now. I healed him up and left him a little gift to help." Lena said with a smirk.
"Oh thank god." Violet said in relief. "Come on, let's get you some water in the kitchen."
"Yeah I could use a tall glass of water." Lena said in agreement. "And… maybe rest in bed a bit to calm my head…"
Tucking away the book in her toonspace, Violet helped Lena up and the two made their way to the kitchen.
Back at the Money Bin Louie has just finished explaining how Lena saved his life.
"Not only did Lena save me…" He brings up his hand flaring with magic. "…She also left me a little gift, passing on some of her powers temporarily."
"I should've known that little whelp of a niece of mine had a hand in this." Magica raged, ticked off over Lena's intervention.
"So, the son came to save his precious family. How touching." Karnage commented.
"It's no matter." Glomgold said. "You still cannae defeat us my former caddy. The results are going to be the same as in the manor. And let's not forget there's no point in even trying to fight anymore! Thanks to your idea of combining our resources I have won the bet!" He annoys the villains by bragging in their faces as he walks. "Now I have Scrooge's money, and your money…" He pushes Karnage away. "I don't need any of you!" He dives into the chest of gold. "I AM THE RICHEST DUCK IN THE WORLD! I'M UNSTOPPABLE! I'M FLINTHEART GLOMGOLD!"
Glomgold gave off a crazed, maniacal laughter as he showered inside the treasure of gold only to be countered when Louie mockingly gave off his own evil laugh.
"Yup! Flintheart Glomgold won. His name is on all the paperwork." He crosses his arms next to the barrier. "Only, your name's not really Flintheart Glomgold. It's…" Louie started, gesturing to Scrooge.
"Duke Baloney!" Scrooge and Glomgold remembered, the former realizing he used his fake name instead of his real one to sign the contract as Louie went in front of the barrier
""Flintheart Glomgold" is a fake identity." Louie pointed to Scrooge then to the villains. "So, all your money, all your money and all your money goes to your new partner who is… hold on one sec, just let me check right here."
He gets out another contract and opens it up.
"Oh, right: ME!"
He shows his name signed above Glomgold's which the hunched duck took in outrage as Della and Scrooge smiled proudly. "Always read the fine print, trademark, Louie Duck." Louie said with a triumphant smirk.
"What!?" Glomgold reads the contract and widens his eyes in disbelief. "I…I cannae believe it…I've been…OUTSCHEMED! But…but that cannae be! I got a family together! My scheme was flawless! I-" He hears growling and turns to see his angered allies behind him. "Uh oh."
"Let me get this straight, you just lost all of our fortune to A CHILD!" Magica berated.
"You IDIOT!" Ma smacked and comically disorientated Glomgold.
"I just lost the most modern company in the world to a freaking kid!" Beaks said in outrage.
"I stole so many treasures across the world and they end up in the hands of a kid!" cried Karnage.
"We lost everything?!" Big Time cried. "I wish I never had a new Pa!" he said as he began to cry.
Ma smacked Glomgold with her purse. "You scared him for life! That's my job!" she yelled.
"How was I supposed to know I had to use my real name!?" Glomgold retorted.
"You think being a businessman you'd remember something as simple as that!" Magica countered.
"You think being some scary shadow sorceress you'd be able to kill someone but you cannae even kill a wee child! No wonder you have lost your magic!" Glomgold shouted back.
This set Magica off. "I think I have enough hatred in my heart for two Scottish billionaires!" she shouted.
Magica tackled Glomgold to the ground comically clawing and punching him while the McDuck family cringed. Glomgold's crown was sent flying away.
"Should we…do something?" Scrooge asked.
Magica accidentally rips out his fake beard and Glomgold tackles her, pulling her hair and making the witch shriek in pain.
"Eh, it'll take care of itself." Louie shrugged.
"How could you be even more stupid than usual!?" snapped Ma.
"My status is gonna crumbled to teeny tiny bite-sized pieces thanks to you!" Mark yelled.
"HOLD IT!" Flintheart shouted. "If you wanna be mad at someone, be mad at my former caddy! He's the one with all our fortunes!"
The villains all turned their anger now on Louie who slyly had his hands in his pocket.
"So, in the mansion you provoked us with that idea of yours in order to secure your uncle's victory. You set us up!" Magica angrily deduced.
"I sure did, and you losers were gullible enough to fall for it." Louie gleefully mocked.
"What about our threat to your love?" Karnage asked.
"And the pain we dished out. Was this part of your counter-scheme too?" asked Big Time.
"Nope. The pain and you threatening Lena were things I hoped to avoid… the pain just happened." Louie said, seething at that last paret while eyeing Della. "I was going to say something right after Glomgold's sappy family speech to get to this point peacefully, but you beat me to the punch." Louie explained.
"How'd you know it would all turn out this way?" asked Beaks.
"That's my question!? How did you know this would happen, former caddy? How did you know my scheme would backfire on me!?" Glomgold demanded to know.
"Simple. Duke Baloney was your original name. So, by tricking you into signing our little contract with me by using your alias all the money would go to me since you didn't use his real name and "Flintheart Glomgold" legally doesn't exist. That kind of flaw is easy to spot…when you're able to see all the angles like I can." Louie said triumphantly.
Della's eyes widened that last part while the rest of the McDucks smiled proudly.
(1000 Heartless Battle from Kingdom Hearts II plays)
"Well played, green one. But you've just made a terrible mistake. By taking all of our fortune you've just made yourself at the top of our to-kill list in order to take it all back. Of course you were already at the top of MY list." Magica clarified before summoning her Necrosword
"No one steals the treasure of the fierce ruler of the skies, Don Karnage!" Karnage draws and points his sword.
"You're dead, kid." Ma Beagle snarled, swinging her handbag.
Louie summoned his Golden Khopesh by his side and gets into his battle stance.
"Go Louie!" Dewey cheered.
"Be careful…" said Della.
"Don't worry, lass. He'll be alright this time." Scrooge assured.
Information: Defeat Clan Glomgold!
Party Members:
Louie Duck
"Get him, boys!" Ma yelled.
The Beagle Boys and Mark Beaks charged Louie first with roars - or in Beaks' case, shouting like a weird techie man. But Louie casually formed a green orb of energy above his hand and tossed it. It splits into 4 separate beams of energy that smashed into the brothers and parrot, sending them comically flying and crashing into Iron Vulture.
"Ouch…." groaned Big Time.
"I think my nose is numb…" mumbled Bouncer.
"I already scraped the barnacles ma…" Burger said woozily. (1)
"My sciatica…" groaned Beaks. (2)
"4 down, 4 to go." Louie stated with a grin.
His hands and khopesh flared up with magical power before he charged at Glomgold's team with a battle cry. Magica unleashed an energy beam, but Louie canceled it out by slicing the air to unleash an energy blade. Glomgold lunged with a swing only for Louie to deflect and send him flying, Don Karnage ran forth to slice him only for Louie to flipped above and slid across the ground, evading Ma Beagle's handbag swipe and delivering a double kick to her face that knocked her unconscious.
Magica repeatedly thrusted her Necrosword but Louie deflected all of them before swinging left and right and then jumping to deliver a strong drop slice that Magica struggled against. When he landed on the ground, Magica switched out her sword for her staff and sent out 5 blasts of energy. Louie ducked, rolled to the side, backflipped and deflected the other 2. Magica then swung her staff only for Louie to flip up and kick it off of the back of her head.
"You aren't gonna win, you puny green bug!" Magica snarled.
"You're green too, you know!" Louie retorted.
"Well-yeah-I-uh-well-OH SHUT UP!" snapped Magica.
"You first!" Louie taunted.
The Fake Scotsman, Sky Pirate and Shadow Queen surrounded Louie on all sides while he just stood there. They thrust their weapons together only for Louie to disappear much to their shock.
"Whoa! Where'd he go!?" Della asked, surprised.
"Look!" Dewey pointed up.
They all look up to see Louie had leapt up and is now dropping down, expertly delivering a split kick to Magica and Karnage's face and both fell on their back. Glomgold launches swings with his can but Louie blocks and deflects them all before sweeping the hunched duck off his feet, followed up with a kick to the stomach, sending him crashing into Ma and knocking him out. Karnage got back and tries to slice him. But Louie spun and leapt like a twister, delivering an energy slice that slashes the sky pirate across the stomach, knocking him out.
The entire McDuck family was in awe as Louie dropped to the ground with his palm ready.
"Earth Crusher!" Louie shouted.
He buried his fingers and sent out mounds of erupting earth towards Magica, sending her flying off the main entrance.
The dark mage flew back on and charged at him. He leapt forward to cross slice the witch, pushing her back and delivering enough force to make her stumble which allows the evil triplet to slice across her stomach, making the witch cry out in pain. With another swing he disarms Magica and delivers a kick to the face that sends her back. Magica resummons her Necrosword and the two trade blows, left and right until they lock blades. Louie and Magica were surrounded in green and purple energy, respectively as they glared.
"You're not gonna get me this time!" Louie declared.
He pushed her off and jumped far back before tossing his khopesh and whistling. Magica quickly dismissed her sword and attracted her staff, forming a barrier and the khopesh repeatedly sliced it as Louie whistled, only to bounce off them in the end and Louie caught it.
Magica gave a grin. "Perhaps we can't get you… but what about, oh, I don't bloody know… your family?!
Louie's eyes widened in horror and turned to his trapped family. Magica blasted off towards them. "Better have your 3-D glasses 'cause I'M COMING AT YA!" Magica taunted. (3)
"NO!
Louie rushed and jumped in between Magica and his gasping family, the Shadow Queen smashing the orb of her staff across his stomach and making Louie shout in pain as he was sent flying over her. Then to everyone's horror Louie was impaled beneath his lungs once again by Magica's Necrosword.
"LOUIE!" The Ducks called out in horror.
"NO! PLEASE! NOT AGAIN!" Della cried out, on the verge of tears.
Louie's face was purple with pain as he whimpered and then Magica sadistically electrocuted Louie in purple electricity. The Evil Triplet was screaming in horrible pain and agony once more.
Magica relished at Louie's suffering. "Oh I've so wanted to do this ever since the Shadow War! Maybe you'll think twice before letting me live Greenie! Of course, you can blame your uncle for that. I meant it when I said I'd crush the life out of your eyes! This time's I'll leave nothing of you behind to torture! Looks like Lena's magic wasn't able to help after all."
"I wouldn't…be so sure of that…" Louie opened his eyes, smirking through his pain.
He clutched and held up his khopesh which gathered energy that's converted into a ball at the tip. He fired at close range an energy ball that exploded on Magica, sending her flying. He landed on his back in pain clutching his stomach but has the strength to lift his head up with a grin and digs his claw into the ground.
"Earth Crusher…" Louie quietly called out.
He sent out a mound of rock so precise it struck Magica's talisman. The witch cries out in pain as she was blown back, landing near Glomgold, Karnage and Ma Beagle.
(1000 Heartless Battle from Kingdom Hearts II ends)
The barrier that trapped the McDuck Family disintegrated much to their surprise.
"He did it! Louie did it!" Della exclaimed proudly.
The villains all got up and the ones that had been blown away gathered around.
Magica looked at the talisman given to her shattered into pieces and her green feathers turned white once more.
"My powers! No, not again!" Magica cried as she felt her powers weaken.
"Do you scoundrels really want to continue now?"
It was Scrooge who had spoken as the McDuck family smirked in offensive stances or cracking their knuckles. The villains all growled and Magica looked at Louie, smirking a little.
'Oh well, this wasn't a total loss, I've done what I needed to do. The green one's relationship with Della is broken beyond repair.' Magica thought in satisfaction before looking to Glomgold. "Flinty, now might be a good time to escape back to the castle and recover."
Glomgold groaned. "As much as I hate to agree with you, I guess we don't have any other choice. Family! Fall back into the Iron Vulture! We're getting out of here!" Glomgold ordered before pointing at the Scrooge then Louie. "CURSE YOU MCDUCK! CURSE YOU GREEN NEPHEW! I'LL GET MY MONEY BACK! AND WHEN I DO, YOU'LL ALL BE BOWING DOWN TO CLAN GLOMGOLD!"
"You haven't heard the last of me McDuck! I'll be back! I'll destroy this family sooner or later one day, including Lena!" Magica declared vengefully.
"Yeah, hopefully Maleficent can give you something that won't break like cheap dining!" Beaks commented, pocketing his phone.
"I still have my powers!" Magica retorted. "...they just won't work here!"
"This isn't over Dewey Duck!" Don Karnage declared.
"I'll get that deed McDuck, even if it's the last thing I do." Ma also declared.
Clan Glomgold grabbed their loot and ran back into the Iron Vulture which took off into the sky.
"Of course when they lose magic they run away." Dewey said.
"Wimps!" called Launchpad
"Ack! It's fine! Let them run away!" said Scrooge. "I've won the bet and we're all still alive! That's what matters."
Della gasped. "Wait! What about Louie!?" she cried.
They all look to Louie, bruised, tattered and disheveled, using a little to lift himself up while using the last of his temporary magic to heal the wound beneath his lungs.
"LOUIE!" Clan McDuck shouted.
He watched his brothers, sister-figure, mother, great-uncle and friends run over to him. Huey, Dewey, and Webby hugged onto him exclaiming words of joy.
"You're alive!" cried Dewey,
"Thank goodness!" Webby said in relief.
"You were awesome, bro!" Huey said proudly.
Louie winced from the hugs considering the amount of pain he was currently in. "Hey, take it easy! I'm glad you're all okay too, but let's not crush my bones!" he said with a wince,
They quickly pull back… only for Scrooge to grab Louie and hold him up proudly.
"That was incredible laddie! The way you out-conned Flinty, tricked him into losing the bet and took all my enemies by yourself! Brilliant!" Scrooge exclaimed wholeheartedly.
Louie was taken aback. "Uh…thanks Uncle Scrooge…"
"We're extremely relieved you're alright, Louie." said Bentina.
"Yeah! Though are you sure you're okay little buddy?" asked Launchpad. "You got beat up worse than Jimmy the King by DDP." (4)
Louie was set down. "I'll live. I've been through worse after all." he managed to say.
Then to his dismay Louie found himself hugged by Della as much as she possibly could.
"Oh, Louie! That was amazing! I'm so proud of you!" Della said happily. She then frowned. "And I'm so sorry for everything that I did today! Locking you in your room like that, leaving a rogue robot in charge of you, taking away all of your privileges, blocking you from calling Lena, taking away your bracelet and khopesh, everything. I didn't realize that I made you feel like a prisoner in your own room like that. Lena is your crush - I mean hey, any mother can see it. - I had no right to separate you like that. And your bracelet and khopesh were your best means of self-defense. When I took them, I didn't think you'd need them. But our enemies' attacking the mansion was something I never thought of when it should've been one of the first things that crossed my mind. I didn't mean for any of this to happen at all." She pulls back almost tearfully smiling. "I promise I'll make it up to-"
To Della and everyone's shock Louie pushed her off and she saw his furious and hateful expression.
"DON'T TALK TO ME!" Louie yelled.
"What? Why?" Della asked, taken aback.
Louie furiously pointed at Della. "Because of you I almost died!"
Scrooge held up his hands. "Now, lad, let's not get hasty here, Della-" he started when Louie interrupted him.
"When are you going to realize that your stupid actions have consequences just as bad as mine did!?" Louie angrily demanded,
This accusation made Della furious and she pointed back at him. "Excuse me!? You caused the Timephoon and nearly zapped us all out of existence!" she snapped.
Louie snarled. "First of all, you were still alive! And second, I regret it! I learned from that. But your stupid punishment didn't help!" he snapped back.
"You had to be punished!" Della shouted.
The entire family could only watch the argument in horror.
"Yeah! I know! I realized that I had to be! But not the way you handled it!" Louie shouted back. "I was only grounded yet you made my room a prison complete with a robot bodyguard who went out of control and nearly killed me and my brothers last year! You caged me in my own room like I was a wild animal… like a frickin' criminal! You left me all by myself just to go on an adventure that I actually wanted to go on! What's even more hurtful is that you only checked up on me just to say I haven't learned anything! That just stings hard, you know?!"
Della can't help but cringe from the phone call. Now that she thought about it, that was harsh.
"That is cold beyond all reason and don't you go around saying that it wasn't because it WAS!" Louie continued in rage. "And you left me vulnerable to all of Uncle Scrooge's enemies!"
Della contorted with guilt and Louie suddenly pointed at the family frowning in guilt.
"ALL OF YOU DID! Just for a stupid bet!" Louie said in anger and hurt. "You cut off my phone connection to Lena! And June! And practically everyone! You have no idea how much help I needed after what you said and did to me! You had no right whatsoever to do that! And what's more, you stole my khopesh and my friendship bracelet! All I had to fight those villains with were a weak sword and shield. I was completely powerless and vulnerable! DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT THOSE REVENGE-SEEKING MANIACS PUT ME THROUGH!? I tried my best to fight back but I couldn't! Sure I got a few hits in, and I will admit, managed to get in the last hit, but I was dangerously outnumbered and basically DEFENCELESS! You thought you were teaching me a lesson but instead you just left me to die! I almost got killed just so they could send a message to all that they were done playing around with us!"
Della clasped her hands beggingly. "Louie, I'm so sorry! I didn't know that was gonna happen. I never meant to do that to you! I didn't think that-!" Della tried but Louie furiously cut her off again.
"And it's not just that! You yelled at me and embarrassed me in front of everyone, including Gyro and Launchpad instead of talking to me alone like a decent parent! At least Uncle Donald would have some idea to do that… unless he was having one of his famous temper moments, but that point still stands y'know!"
Hearing Louie's words and thinking back to that day Della realizes she never bothered apologizing and seeing the effect it had on her youngest filled her with sheer guilt.
Louie sighed heavily, managing to calm himself a bit. "Look… I was sorry for what I did and I wanted to fix what I caused because I felt guilty, but you didn't give me a chance! Ok yes, that scheme backfired badly and caused chaos and yes I did deserve to be punished… but not like that! You didn't allow me to have any fun to pass the time at all while I was grounded, further making me feel like I was locked up in a jail! You thought any of that was teaching me something, well YOU WERE WRONG! All it taught me was that you don't care for how I feel like you do to the others!"
"But that's not-!" Della tried to say.
"You said you had to watch my brothers disappear because I wanted a shortcut to riches! Well, guess what!? I watched them disappear too, I watched everyone vanish right before my eyes because of my own selfish mistake!" Louie said while trying not to cry at his big mistake. "I felt incredibly terrified, guilty, and horrified for what I did! And I take full responsibility for that! You didn't bother seeing how sorry I was! NONE OF YOU DID!"
"Louie, that's not-" Dewey tried to say when Webby placed a hand on his shoulder.
"I felt so guilty for what I did and all you did was yell at me and made me feel worse!" Louie all shouted, hurt. "You all plagued my guilt just like what Magica did to Lena, Uncle Donald, and Aunt Daisy! And that hurts just as much as losing my family does! I wanted to make things right when I realized how badly I screwed-no-pratically fucked up!"
Della widened her eyes, further realizing she berated Louie on how she had to watch his brothers disappear…but it was worse for Louie because he had to watch everyone disappear because of his own actions. She never bothered imagining how bad it felt for him.
"You also ruined my dream! Big Rock Candy Mountain was my dream adventure! The one adventure I would've wanted to go on!" Louie added. "Uncle Donald promised we'd go there one day ever since I was 5! But you took that away from me and enjoyed it all for yourselves and that hurts! And Louie Inc. was my dream job! Uncle Scrooge inspired me and I wanted to be a billionaire like him when I grew up, but you shut it down like you don't even care! You just show up out of nowhere and take away all my dreams! Who the heck ruins their child's dream like that?! That doesn't teach anyone anything! You had no right to do that or even ground me! Who the hell do you even think you are?!"
That made Della furious again and stomped up to her son. "Young man, I am your mother and I will not have you-!
"SHUT UP!" Louie yelled, not having any of this.
The family gasped and Della was silenced and speechless.
"You refused to forgive me for what I've done, forced me to miss my dream adventure, shut down my dream business, treated me like a criminal and left me to die in the mansion by our uncle's enemies!" Louie said bluntly. "What's next?! You gonna label me as bad luck?! Force me to sleep outside and lock me out of the mansion?! And then force me to wear a ridiculous mascot costume until I pass out from heat exhaust?!"
"What?! NO! I would never do that!" Della exclaimed, shocked that Louie would even consider something so horrible… and downright ludicrous.
"Your actions earlier tell me otherwise! I don't even know what to think anymore!" Louie retorted. "If it were Uncle Donald who grounded me for my stunt then I would've accepted it! But he's not here right now and as much as I wish he was, he isn't!" Louie snarled. "Scrooge or Beakely should've been the ones to punish me, not you! You had no right! You barely even know who I am and yet you think you can just have authority over me since the closest you've taken care of us was when we were eggs! But you know nothing about me and just think I'm a bad kid who doesn't care! Well this "'bad kid' has a heart that you stabbed! Aside from what Magica did here and during her return, you're the worst thing that ever happened in my life!"
Everyone gasped and Della felt her heart breaking once more. Some of them became angry.
"Lad! Calm down!" Scrooge shouted.
"How can you say that?!" exclaimed Dewey.
"What is wrong with you?!" Huey snapped angrily.
"She's your Mom!" Webby exclaimed.
"See here young man-!" Beakley began to say.
"Everyone, be quiet!" Launchpad suddenly shouted. "Don't make it worse! It's not gonna help. This is between them!"
Della was close to crying out tears. "Sweetie...please...y-you don't mean that...!" she stuttered,
"Well I fucking do!" Louie snapped, making Della flinch with a gasp. "I wish you never came back into our lives! I wish you never tried to be our mom! I HATEYOU!"
Everyone gasps louder than ever and Della practically feels her heart shatter into a million pieces with tears welling up in her eyes from her youngest son's heartbreaking words.
"Lad!" gasped Scrooge.
"How dare you speak to her like that!" Bentina scowled.
"You take that back!" demanded Dewey.
"Stop being so mean!" shouted Huey.
"What is wrong with you?!" cried Webby.
Launchpad, while shocked at Louie's words, glared angrily at the others who didn't even seem like they were even listening to what Louie was saying.
"SHUT UP! ALL OF YOU! YOU'RE ONLY MAKING THE SITUATION WORSE!" he snapped.
Everyone was shocked to see Launchpad silencing them.
"How in blazes is that making it worse?!" Scrooge asked.
"Do you want him to hate you too? You're not even listening to what he's saying!" Launchpad replied. "Yes it's harsh, but the truth stings bad sometimes… No matter how much…"
Louie then angrily turned to Scrooge and Beakley. "And you two! You both just stood there and let her punish me like that! I told you all that I was sorry! When you were all zapped away, I felt horrible! And you two just let her punish me like that! And don't think I'll forget Beakley that you were the one who suggested that she took my bracelet!" he said furiously.
Scrooge and Beakely look down in almost tearful guilt.
He then turned to Huey, Dewey, and Webby.
"And I can't believe that the three of you did nothing either!" She exclaimed, almost scandalized while hurt. "You just stood there and didn't stand up for me! I stepped up for you guys every time - well, mostly every time - in the past and you just let her get away with what she did to me!"
The kids looked down guilt-ridden and he focused on his brothers.
"And I can't believe you two wouldn't stand up for your brother! We've had each others' backs ever since we were little and when I really need you, you guys let me down. But I guess I should've seen that coming since you guys loved a Bigfoot more than me!" Louie said, betrayed.
Huey and Dewey were taken aback, but then remembered he was referring to when they said they loved "Tenderfeet" or rather, Gavin more than him last year.
"Louie, we didn't mean it like that!" Huey cried.
"Yeah, we were just joking!" said Dewey.
"Yeah, well those jokes made your own brother feel like a monster that isn't loved by anyone! If you knew what that thing really was you'd be heartbroken as I am right now!" Louie snapped. "Also, news flash: 'Tenderfeet' was just a con artist named Gavin! I knew that, Webby knew that, Lena knew that, but you were too stubborn to see that he was using you like the jerk he was! That's why I faked his illness to get him out of the house before he clobbered us all! YOU'RE WELCOME!"
Huey and Dewey were shocked. They wanted to refute, but the solemn look on Webby's face told them Louie was telling the truth.
Louie turned back to Della who was this close to crying tears.
"When you saved my life from the Gilded Man, I was willing to give you a chance, a chance that included love, respect, and appreciation… I trusted you, I believed in you, I had faith… but now... you lost all of it. You didn't deserve it. You never spent time with me and didn't even get to know me as if I didn't exist. I was confused and conflicted about all of this…" Louie said darkly. "Donald always took care of us! He fed us, clothed us and housed us for 10 years! All you did was abandon us for a stupid joyride in a rocket! Uncle Donald may have bad luck, but at least he thinks before he speaks, actually thinks of his family first, and does make an effort to do a proper job! You have no idea what every single one of us were put through because of your selfishness! Uncle Donald's my father, the only parent I know. You're just a stranger who entered our lives without warning! Maybe I did deserve to be punished - I agree, no denying - but not by you or how you freaking did it…"
Tears begin to drop from Della's eyes as Louie's ruthless and heartbreaking words bashed her.
"Louie, I-" she tried.
But Louie was done having it.
"Don't 'Louie' me!" he snapped, pointing directly at Della. "You're always saying you want to be a good mom, well here's an idea: Why don't you remember we haven't had a mom for 11 years?! Closest thing we had was Aunt Daisy and she had her own family to raise! So you can't just expect to be a part of our lives after you abandoned us for so long! I refuse to accept some stranger who I've only met for a couple of weeks having authority over us and making judgements when you barely even know us. Also, next time you ground me, how about... YOU DON'T MAKE MY ROOM A LITERAL PRISON!"
Louie's tone then turned dark and cold as he glared at Della in anger, hatred, and betrayal. If Della's words from after the Timephoon and the DT-87 were one thing, this was gonna be different.
"Until then... we may be related... but I am not your friend or your SON and you're not my MOM! I hate you DELLA DUCK!" Louie said defiantly and angrily.
Della's eyes widened in horror and her heart shattered into tinier pieces. Her beak is widened in heartbreak and it feels like she's been stabbed in the gut. He called her by her name. He no longer considered her his mother…he hated her…Della felt the tears now gushing out of her eyes while everyone had their beaks wide open in horror with what Louie said. No one could speak.
"Don't you ever touch my friendship bracelet or my khopesh again! Stay the fuck out of my life!" Louie roared. He then looks at Huey and Dewey. "And not only do I no longer have a Mom but I no longer have brothers either." he said coldly.
Huey and Dewey were hurtfully taken aback.
"What…?" Huey managed to gasp.
"But-but, Louie, we're your brothers." Dewey tried to beg when Louie jabbed his pointing finger in his chest.
"Not anymore Dewford! Brothers stick by each other! They stand up for each other through thick and thin but you two didn't do that at all when I needed you most. You ditched me to go on my dream vacation without me! All for someone you've only known for what, two weeks?! We're no longer brothers anymore!" Louie growled.
The oldest two of the Duck triplets felt their hearts break. Their beaks were wide open as they felt tears well up in their eyes.
"Louie!" Webby gasped. "HOW COULD YOU SAY THAT!? THEY'RE YOUR BROTHERS!"
"WERE my brothers!" Louie said coldly.
He looked at everyone giving him concerned looks. None of them were angry anymore. They just felt sorry or guilty. Then he gave Della's heartbroken expression one last hateful look.
"I'll never forgive you for this… "
He turned his back and proceeded to take his leave for the bridge connecting Duckburg to the Bin, limping a bit from the fight, only for Della to grab his shoulder in desperation.
"Louie, please! I'm sorry! I truly am sorry! Please don't turn your back on me like this!" Della cried.
Louie glared daggers at the pilot. "You never accepted my apologies after the Timephoon. Why should I accept yours?" he sneered.
"But Louie-!"
"JUST GET OUTTA HERE!" Louie yelled, making Della stumble back in shock. Louie was now almost crying in anger at this point. "Get out of here please…!" (5)
Della was now crying. "Louie please-"
"GET THE FUCK OUT!" Louie yelled angrily, tears of anger streaming down his face. (6)
Della now realized that her son was too angry, hurt, heartbroken, and upset by her foolish and reckless actions. She reluctantly stepped back away from him.
Louie jumped off the edge and landed on the bridge. He limped across it, holding his shoulder, and ignoring the calls of his family.
"Louie, wait!" Scrooge shouted.
"Come back, Louie!" called Huey.
"We can figure something out!" Dewey cried.
"Louie, please, we can help you!" Webby shouted.
"Louie!" Beakley shouted.
But Louie drowned their cries out. He paused as he looked back at them. His face was a mixture of anger, but also some regret and sadness. He pulled out his phone and dialed for a ride.
In no time flat, a yellow taxi pulled up. Louie got in. The driver was a middle-aged human man wearing all blue.
"Hello I'm Reverend Jim Ignatowski, I'll be your taxi cab driver." he said. "Where to duck sir?"
"McDuck Manor. We'll stop by Hamburger Hippo for a bite. I need it." Louie replied solemnly.
Jim examined Louie's condition without batting an eye. "...Sure you don't need a hospital?" he asked.
"I'm the passenger, you're the driver." Louie replied. "I'll get you something if you stop asking questions and drive… and send the bills to Gyro Gearloose for upgrading a death bot."
"You're the boss, kid." Jim said casually as he reversed away.
And the taxi drove off as the family could only watch on in silence. After a moment, Launchpad spoke up.
"Maybe it's best that we give him some time alone to figure stuff out," he said softly. "After, well, all of that… I think he could use a whole lot of space…"
"I suppose you're right, McQuack…" Scrooge said solemnly.
They then heard sobbing and turned to look at Della on both her knees crying hysterically and tears gushing out of her eyes down her heartbroken face. She sobbed uncontrollably and everyone couldn't help but feel sorry and the anger felt towards her and Beakely vanished.
"Della…" Scrooge said softly.
"Mom…you okay…?" Dewey asked.
"NO! I'M NOT OKAY!" Della cried hysterically, "My gosh, what have I done...?! WHAT HAVE I DONE!?" She clutches her hair so tightly she could pull it out. "I-I can't believe I did that! I treated my son so horribly and I'VE BROKEN HIM, I TREATED HIM LIKE A CRIMINAL, CAGED HIM LIKE A WILD ANIMAL, CUT OF HIS CONNECTIONS TO HIS FRIENDS AND NOW HE HATES ME! I'VE MADE HIM GO THROUGH SUFFERING NO KID SHOULD HAVE TO GO THROUGH! I-I ABANDONED HIM AND HE ALMOST DIED AT THE HANDS OF OUR WORST ENEMIES... I COULD DO NOTHING BUT WATCH HIM BE TORTURED AND IT'S ALL MY FAULT! I'M SUCH A HORRIBLE MOTHER! HOW COULD I DO THIS TO MY YOUNGEST SON?! HOW COULD I BE SUCH A HORRIBLE PERSON?! Louie…I'm sorry…I'M SO SORRY!"
She dropped down crying her eyes out and the rest could feel their eyes welling up with tears too. In an act of self-hatred Della ran inside towards the entrance of the Bin and Scrooge reached out for her,
"Della-!" Beakely and Launchpad placed their hands on his shoulders, nodding solemnly to state there's nothing they can do but to leave her alone to let it all out. Scrooge could only watch his favorite niece run past Owlson who came out of hiding.
"Did I miss something?" she asked.
"Go home Owlson. We'll talk later." Scrooge said.
Sensing the tension in the air, Zan nodded as she took her leave.
Dewey and Huey watch their youngest brother leave in the taxi off in the distance. Huey dropped down hugging his knees and buried his head to cry.
"We really are the worst brothers ever…" he said sadly.
Dewey could only look on crying too. Webby came up to him and he hugged her for comfort. Webby returned it and they both cried over the events that had transpired.
"Bless me bagpipes…it's the Cloudslayer all over again." Scrooge said sadly.
Della was running up the stairs, her arms pressed against her eyes as she cried. She was sitting and leaning against the valve in the darkness while tightly hugging her knees as she cries and sobs hysterically like a child.
"Donald…Donnie…please come back! I need you! I-I-I've messed everything up. I've ruined everything…again!" Della cried.
"You took off in the contraption without thinking of the consequences or the people you would hurt!"
"I wonder who I got that from."
That sentence kept echoing inside her head louder and now she practically clutches her hair shouting and crying in agony.
She continues crying for a while. She really messed up this time. Louie almost died thanks to her. While Magica and the other villains were responsible, she put him in that unfair position. She should've just let Scrooge or Beakley handle it. But she went overboard. Now her bond with her youngest song was shattered and she knew it was her fault. She wanted to make this right… she just didn't know how.
Castle That Never Was:
The entire thing had been witnessed by Maleficent, Diablo, Luxord, Marluxia, and Larxene at the Altar of Naught.
"Well what a surprise, their family's falling apart thanks to that idiot pilot thinking she knew better." Larxene huffed, flexing her Foudre knives.
"Della's cockiness and hypocrisy were her own undoing." said Marluxia, sharpening his scythe. "And now her own son hates her."
"It seems as though the Duck/McDuck family is falling apart." Luxord, shuffling his cards. "I have to ask though, how will this benefit in the long run?"
"The Duck/McDuck family is no ordinary family within this world." Maleficent replied, stroking Diablo's head. "With them falling apart once more, just like over 10 years ago, they will be vulnerable to be eliminated as obstacles, including that meddling mage. And then all their enemies will be able to reclaim what's theirs. And with more careful planning, the closer the entire world that holds Disney Town, Duckburg, Spoonerville, St. Canard, Cape Suzette, practically everywhere will finally fall to darkness…"
Diablo cawed in agreement.
"That does sound like a good plan oh Mistress of Evil." Larxene commented, walking near the evil fairy as she faced her. "Only one teensy problem: the cornerstone still exists."
"That and Magica's amulet that allows her to even use her powers in that world is destroyed." said Marluxia.
Maleficent laughed. "I always have a trick up my sleeve." she replied.
"And what about 'Clan Glomgold'?" asked Luxord. "Their efforts failed."
"There's more members of the McDuck family… which means more for them to recruit in the process…" Maleficent replied.
She slammed her staff on the ground as she and Diablo disappeared in a green swirl of magic, followed by the old Organization's Numbers 10, 11, and 12 as they teleported away.
Pride Lands:
After doing some patrol, the world-travelers were resting in the lair at Pride Rock. He suddenly bolted awake from his slumber. He used his bird talon to looks at his Wayfinder from his toon space.
"Something's wrong..." Donald mused, worried for his family.
