Kanto Gets Loud
Chapter 62: Adventures of the Alien Kind
Somewhere in the solar system, near Earth,
A spacecraft was barreling through the solar system, as it tried to escape a pursuing ship, that was firing at it with the intent of either destroying it or capturing it. Inside the pursuing ship, several alien beings, who all looked to be bad news, were following the escaping spacecraft closely, "Capture that ship at all costs! We can't afford to lose our valuable merchandise!" the captain of said ship proclaimed.
"Yes sir!" one of the captain's underlings replied, as he punched in some keys on his control panel.
"What is that ship's destination if it stays on this course?" the captain asked.
"According to our calculations, it'll no doubt crash land on the third planet of this solar system. Rumor has it that it goes by the name 'Earth'," another underling replied.
"'Earth', huh? That name sounds familiar somehow. No matter. Set a course for Earth! We can ambush the ship there and reclaim our merchandise!" the captain ordered.
"YES SIR!" the crew replied, as they set a course for Earth.
The next morning, Lavender Town,
Before heading out on their next big adventure, Lincoln and friends decided to pay one last visit to the Pokemon House to bid goodbye to Mrs. Fuji and the others, "Thank you all again for all you and the others have done for us," Mrs. Fuji said.
"It's no trouble at all, Mrs. Fuji. We're always happy to put an end to any evil like Team Rocket," Lincoln replied.
"He's right, you know," Brock added.
"Team Rocket has been a thorn in Kanto's side for far too long. It's high time they were taken down," Misty added.
"Indeed. Hopefully before long, Team Rocket will be taken down, and all of Kanto will finally be able to rest easy," Mrs. Fuji replied, before turning to Lincoln, "I do have one more favor to ask of you, Lincoln."
"Me? What kind of favor do you want?" Lincoln asked. The girl from yesterday then brought out Cubone, "Oh hey, Cubone's finally opening up to people?"
"Indeed. Since you were able to help Marowak find peace, this little one has opened its heart to others, which is where the favor I want to ask of you comes into play. Would you be willing to take this Cubone along with you on your journey?" Mrs. Fuji asked. Lincoln and company were very surprised.
"You want me to catch Cubone?" Lincoln asked.
"Yes. I heard through the rumor mill that you've come from a large family, and have experience with nurturing younger children. And as you can see, Cubone here is still a baby, and needs proper training to grow up big and strong, just like Marowak was," Mrs. Fuji replied.
"Well, if that's the case, then I'd be more than happy to welcome Cubone into my family," Lincoln replied, as he dug through his bag and pulled out a Great Ball, "Alright Cubone, lets work hard together!" he said, as he tapped Cubone with the Great Ball, sucking the Lonely Pokemon inside. The Great Ball rocked once, twice, and a third time before snapping shut.
"Cubone has been registered to your Pokedex. Would you like to add Cubone to your party?" Dexter asked.
"Yes, I would. I think I'll send back Percival," Lincoln commented, as he swapped out the Pokeballs. Percival's Pokeball vanished, and Cubone was officially added to Lincoln's party, "I promise I'll take care of Cubone."
"I know you will. If you head through Lavender Town's west gate, it'll take you through Route 8. It'll lead you to Saffron City, as well as the Underground Path connecting Lavender Town to Celadon City," Mrs. Fuji said.
"Thanks for the tip. Well, see you later," Lincoln said, as he and his companions were about to leave, when…
"Hey everybody, did you see the news?!" a man exclaimed, as he rushed into the Pokemon House.
"What news?" Mrs. Fuji asked.
"Turn on the TV and see for yourself!" he replied. Mrs. Fuji did so, and the TV turned on to a live broadcast from a United Nations Press Conference. Lincoln, Misty, Brock and Pikachu were all shocked to see Lucius and the others in their normal forms, shaking hands with several world leaders.
"This scene is coming to you live from U.N. HQ, where the leaders of the world have agreed to a proposed bill by the king of all monsters, which every government has been keeping secret for many years now. The bill in question allows for the interaction between humans and monsters in a cultural exchange program. The bill itself is also appropriately called the 'Interspecies Exchange Bill'. And from what I've been able to gather, both human and monster families will be accepting homestays from the others species to learn about their cultures. In addition, two major rules will be put into place. I'll now turn it over to King Lucius for more details," the reporter said, as Lucius walked up to her.
"Thank you for allowing me to explain. As was previously stated, two important rules are going to be implemented with the Cultural Exchange Program. For starters, both human and monster representatives cannot leave their cultural exchange homes without someone from the family that's hosting them. And secondly, neither humans nor monsters are permitted to harm the others without provocation. They can act in self-defense, but only to get away from any aggressors that are harassing them. Now I know that this bill will cause some major changes to the way of life for both the Human and Monster realms, and I don't expect everyone to just accept it automatically, but I implore everyone to bear with it. And who knows? Maybe life won't change that much for either realm," Lucius explained.
"Well, that didn't take too long," Lincoln commented quietly.
"Something wrong, young man?" Mrs. Fuji asked.
"Nah, just muttering to myself. And thank you again for everything," Lincoln replied.
"No, it's us who should be thanking you for everything you've done. Now people are able to pay their respects at the Pokemon Tower once more," Mrs. Fuji replied.
"Well, someone had to stand up to Team Rocket," Brock replied.
"Indeed. I wish you all the best on your travels," Mrs. Fuji said, as she lit some sparks from some flint and steel.
"Thanks. You all take care now," Misty replied, as they left the Pokemon House, and made their way to the west gate.
"Well, this has been quite the adventure," Brock commented.
"Without question. Not only were we able to help liberate Pokemon Tower, but you also managed to get a new friend as well, Lincoln," Misty added.
"Yep, and I'm going to do everything I can to help Cubone grow up big and strong," Lincoln replied, looking at the Great Ball, containing his newest Pokemon.
Elsewhere, in a space station orbiting Earth,
Nana was sweating bullets. Alongside her sisters, Rito, Mikan, and Celine, she was standing before several important looking people. The first was a tall man with spiky black hair, and rough attire, sitting on a regal throne. Beside him, sat an elegant young woman with long pink hair, wearing more regal looking attire, and a veil over her face. Nearby, there was another man, dressed in demonic armor. He had short, greyish hair. Behind him were two men dressed in fancy suits, "So, Nana, what's this I hear about YOU getting engaged to an Earthling like your sister?" the man up on the throne asked.
"W-Well, you know how things go, right Daddy?" Nana nervously asked.
"Tell me about this Earthling named 'Lincoln Loud'," the man, now know as Nana's father, Gid Lucione Deviluke, demanded.
"W-Well, he's actually from across the ocean from where we live. Namely in the town of Royal Woods, Michigan, in the United States of America. He's only twelve years old. But after something went down between him and his family, he began traveling an island region just of the coast Japan," Nana replied. The adults all looked very surprised to hear this.
"An American child travelling around a Japanese Region, and on his own?" the man in armor asked.
"As I said, there was an… altercation between him and his family, which ultimately resulted in him getting sent to where we met him," Nana replied.
"What sort of altercation was it?" Momo asked.
"It's not my place to say, but I will say that given the fact he has 10 sisters, things were beyond chaotic," Nana replied.
"10 SISTERS?!" everyone there exclaimed.
"That was my initial reaction as well. And according to him, each of them has their own different personality and interests. One is into music, another into comedy, another into science. It was actually because of just one of his sisters that got him sent to the Kanto Region," Nana replied.
"Hmm, I see. Well, I still need to meet with this young man and assess whether or not he's a suitable suitor for you, Nana," Gid replied, standing up from his throne, alongside his wife, who began walking towards them, "Lala, do you have the coordinates for this 'Kanto Region'?"
"Yes, I do, Daddy! But we'll need to call Lincoln ahead of time to find out where he is," Lala replied.
"Fortunately for us, he gave us his phone number so that we can stay in touch," Rito commented.
"Mau, mau!" Celine chirped. Just then, someone dressed in space armor walked up to the man in demonic armor.
"Captain Zastin, sir? We just receive a blip. Something is hurdling towards Earth, and is expected to make contact within a few hours," the person said.
"Is that so? What could you make out from it?" Zastin asked.
"It appeared to be an escape pod. And based on the logo we were able to pick up, it was no doubt from the Clan of Echo Mirages," the person replied.
"Seriously!? That definitely isn't be good!" Zastin commented.
"What's the Clan of Echo Mirages?" Mikan asked.
"To put it simply, they're a gang of thieves. They go around stealing whatever they can, even going as far as capturing the inhabitants of different planets, and market them off as slaves to the highest bidder," Momo explained.
"They've been a real thorn in our side for quite some time," Gid added.
"That's terrible!" Rito exclaimed.
"Hang on," Lala said, as she went over to the control panel, and punched in some keys, "Based on the trajectory of the escape pod, it's going to be crash landing somewhere in Kanto! Right… around… HERE!" she exclaimed, marking a spot on the map.
"Oh man, we got to get down there, fast and help out whoever they captured!" Rito exclaimed.
"I've already pinpointed the coordinates. We can take a ship down there immediately," Lala replied, as they all ventured to the hanger.
Meanwhile, on Route 8,
A few hours after leaving Lavender Town, Lincoln and friends decided to make a brief stop for some lunch, made by none other than Brock, "Amazing as always, Brock," Misty commented, as she at the sandwiches the older boy had made.
"Thanks. It was smart of us to make a stop by the market to stock up on supplies before moving onward. I hadn't noticed until last night that we were running low on food," Brock commented.
"Well, hopefully we can make it to the next town before we're low on supplies again," Lincoln commented.
"I wouldn't worry too much. We bought plenty on nonperishable stuff while we were in Lavender Town, so we should be good for a few days," Brock replied. Just then, they heard something, like something was falling from the sky, "What's that noise?"
"I don't know," Misty replied, as she looked around, as did Brock and Lincoln.
"Up there!" Lincoln exclaimed, pointing to what he believed to be a meteor hurdling towards a clearing near their location.
"Hit the dirt!" Brock called out. Everyone did so, as the object crashed into the nearby field.
"Now there's something that doesn't happen very often," Lincoln commented, as they got up.
"Should we go check it out?" Misty asked.
"I don't know. If it's a meteor, who knows what kind of radiation it could be carrying?" Brock replied.
"Brock has a point. Best to leave it to the proper authorities," Lincoln replied.
"Hey down there!" a voice called out. The three of them looked up to see a bizarre looking spacecraft flying above them, "Fancy seeing you guys here!" the voice called out. In an instant, the three of them recognized the voice in question.
"Lala?" Lincoln asked, as the ship set down near them. When the shuttle's doors opened, out stepped Rito, Mikan, Lala, Momo, and Nana, as well as Celine, who was being carried by Mikan, along with several adults they didn't recognize.
"How's it been, guys?" Nana greeted.
"Pretty good. Didn't think we'd meet again soon," Lincoln replied.
"Last we saw of you guys was in Porta Vista," Mikan added.
"Speaking of which, how'd your Gym Battle go?" Momo asked.
"Pretty good. Though I have to say, the last two Gym Leaders I faced made me work for those Badges," Lincoln replied, as he showed them his badge case.
"Sweet! Only three more until you qualify, right?" Nana asked.
"Yep. We're heading to Celadon City next," Lincoln replied. The sound of throat clearing was heard, and Lincoln and the others were reminded of the people standing behind them.
"Ah yes, that's right!" Nana said, as she dragged Lincoln over to them, "Lincoln, meet my parents, Gid Lucione Deviluke, and Sephie Michaela Deviluke. Mom, Dad, this is the boy that became… engaged to me, Lincoln Loud," she introduced both sides.
"Hmm, so, you're the Lincoln Loud that Nana and the others told us about," Gid said, looking down on Lincoln.
"Y-Yes sir, and you must be the ruler of the entire universe, as Nana had told me," Lincoln replied.
"Well, in truth, Gid is the leader of the Deviluke Army. I'm the one that's actually in charge of ruling the universe," Sephie replied. Lincoln and the others were taken aback at how beautiful her voice was. Even some nearby wild Pokemon were smitten with her beautiful voice.
"Milord and Milady, shall I go and investigate the impact?" Zastin asked.
"Yes, Zastin. Report back to me as soon as you find what it is," Gid replied.
"So, what's this all about?" Lincoln asked. The Deviluke family's expressions turned somewhat sour, as did Rito and Mikan's.
"Well, to be quite frank, the thing that crashed into the field here was an escape pod," Nana replied.
"An escape pod? Was there some kind of trouble out there?" Misty asked.
"Not quite, but… the escape pod was from a transport ship belonging to a vicious band of criminals called the 'Clan of Echo Mirages,'" Sephie replied.
"A band of criminals?" Lincoln parroted.
"Could the escape pod have someone from that group that suddenly got tired of thieving?" Brock asked.
"Don't bet on it!" Zastin called from the crater.
"What have you found, Zastin?" Gid asked.
"Come see for yourself," Zastin urged. One by one, everyone went over to the crash site. Lincoln, Brock, Misty, and Pikachu were all in awe at what they saw. It was, indeed, a spacecraft of some kind. But upon closer inspection, they noticed that the outer hull was damaged, no doubt from being fired at. But what was even more amazing was what was coming out of the ship. About seven alien lifeforms were emerging from the wreckage. They looked to the same species, having somewhat dog like characteristics, but each of them were blue with silver hair and tails, and they had antennas sticking out from their heads, and they were all wearing raggedy clothes, like what a prisoner would normally wear in a royal dungeon. And based on their curvaceous, buxom figures, it was clear that all seven of them were female.
"Why, those are Kovaks!" Momo exclaimed.
"'Kovaks'?" Misty asked.
"They're an almost all female race of alien. Their home planet used to be a lush, green environment, perfect for raising their young, but a horrible disaster befell their planet, forcing them to abandon it. But you needn't worry. Kovaks are a very peaceful race that don't like getting into fights, but that could also be more of a problem to them than anyone else," Sephie replied.
"What do you mean?" Rito asked.
"See, because Kovaks don't like to fight, they're easy to take advantage of. In fact, the majority of their surviving race are among the top choices for slave auctions. And teenaged Kovaks, like these ones, are especially popular," Gid replied.
"Wait, you're saying… they're a slave race?" Lincoln said, aghast.
"As crude as you make it sound, yes. But Kovaks, as previously stated, are an almost all female race. Their male population is less than 15%, and Kovaks are compatible with just about all known species across the universe, so they often mate with whatever males they come across in hopes of birthing more children to keep their species from going extinct. Though I'm not too sure about whether or not humans fit into that category," Zastin replied.
"Yeesh, only 15% of their species are male?" Misty commented. Just then, the ground below Lincoln's feet gave way, causing the white-haired boy to fall into the crater, directly at the Kovaks, slamming into three of them, and knocking them to the ground. Lincoln felt something very large and warm in both of his hands. When he opened his eyes, he saw that he was face first into one of the Kovak girl's massive breasts. And looking to where his hands were, he saw that he was accidentally groping the other two on either their boob or their butt.
"Oh jeez, I am so sorry! I did not mean for that to happen!" Lincoln exclaimed, as he pulled away quickly. All seven Kovaks seemed to cower a bit at Lincoln's sudden appearance and outburst, with two of them holding onto one another for comfort. Lincoln was a bit confused, but then remembered what he and his friends were just told, 'Oh yeah, these girls are escapees from a slavers ship. Makes sense that they're skittish.'
"Hey Lincoln, you alright down there?" Mikan called.
"Yeah, I am. Just a bit of an adrenaline rush from the fall!" Lincoln called back, before taking a closer look at the Kovaks, and saw several cuts and bruises all over their bodies, "But it looks like the Kovaks have some injuries. We may want to treat them quickly."
"Very well then. Do we have any medical transporters?" Gid asked Zastin.
"We do, but unfortunately, they've all been malfunctioning as of late, so it may not be such a good idea to use them," Zastin replied.
"Not to worry! I have just the thing to help them!" Lala said, as she whipped out her D-Dial, and called out what appeared to be a rather large stretcher, "Mister Emergency Comfort Stretcher! One of my more recent inventions, this little guy helps transport anyone in need of medical attention safely and adjusts to their comfort."
"Will this be able to help the Kovaks out of that crater?" Nana asked.
"Hmm, now that you mention it, it'll probably only be able to transport three of them at a time," Lala replied.
"Not only that, but we also need a place for cover. Who knows when the Clan of Echo Mirage will appear?" Sephie added.
"Fortunately, I have yet another device for just that!" Lala replied, as she punched in some keys on her D-Dial, this time, materializing a cube shaped device, "Mister On the Go Medical Tent! A portable medical tent for anyone on the go!" she said, as she then pressed a button, and tossed it nearby. In a puff of smoke, a large, pink tent appeared, "Not only that, but it's designed like any other medical tent, so there's no need for concern for concern."
"Well, we should start getting them in immediately," Brock suggested.
"Way ahead of you," Lala replied, as she sent down Mister Emergency Comfort Stretcher, and followed herself, "Please, if all of you come with us, we'll get you patched up momentarily," she said in a calming voice. While still a bit scared, one by one, the first three Kovaks got onto the stretcher. Once they were nestled down comfortably, Lala sent it back up and out of the crater, and into the tent, "Nana, Momo, if the two of you have any plants or animals that can help in this situation, that would be greatly appreciated!" she called to her sisters.
"On it!" Nana replied, as she whipped out her D-Dial, "Let's see, which of my animal friends would be best in this scenario?"
"Well, I've got some vine based plants in my D-Dial that can help them with getting out of there," Momo replied, as she used her D-Dial to call upon a beanstalk like plant that was able to lift the remaining Kovaks out of the crater, along with Lincoln.
"Well, that was convenient," Lincoln commented, as he got off the vine, only to drop to his knee with a pained hiss, "Great, I think that fall must've twisted my ankle."
"I think I've got some salve in the tent. Just give us some time to treat these girls and I'll see to your ankle," Lala replied, as she and her sisters escorted the four remaining Kovaks into the tent. Misty and Nana acted as crutches for Lincoln, as they assisted the American boy into the tent, and sat him down in a chair. Just then, Lincoln saw electricity crackling between one of the Kovak's antennae, but he couldn't tell what purpose they served.
"You girls needn't worry. You're under some of the best protection in the universe. I am Queen Sephie Michaela Deviluke, and this is my husband, Gid, and our three daughters, Lala, Nana, and Momo," Sephie said to the Kovaks, causing shock amongst them.
"Hold on, can your Mother speak electricity?" Lincoln asked Nana.
"No, don't be silly. She's actually fluent in many different languages, including Kovak. What you see as electricity is actually how they communicate with others. Of course, in order to understand another species' language, they first have to engage in mucosal contact with a member of that species," Nana said, blushing a bit, as she applied some salve to Lincoln's ankle.
"Hang on, 'mucosal'? I don't believe I'm familiar with that term," Lincoln replied.
"In other words, they learn different languages through kissing," Momo bluntly stated, causing Lincoln to fall out of his chair.
"Wait, seriously!?" he exclaimed.
"That's right, boy. But there's more to it than that. For the sake of explanation, let's say that one of these Kovaks kissed someone from your planet, and learned that particular language. If they were to communicate with another Kovak who had never once visited Earth, they can transfer that language over to them," Gid replied.
"Really? That's pretty cool!" Rito commented.
"Yes, it is. But enough on that. I'd like to know more about you, Lincoln. I'm not about to simply accept you as a suitor for any of my daughters just like that. I want to know what kind of a person you are," Gid said in a serious tone, as Lincoln got back into his chair.
"Well, what exactly has Nana told you about me? I'd kind of like to narrow things down, if at all possible," Lincoln replied.
"She told us that you came from the United States to travel around this region after an altercation with your family, but that's all she was able to tell," Zastin replied. Lincoln then looked over to Nana.
"To be fair, they kind of put me on the spot," she commented sheepishly.
"Well, alright. Following the altercation with my family, and at the urging of my maternal grandfather, I set out on a journey as a Pokemon Trainer. And before you ask," Lincoln said, as Pikachu climbed up onto his lap, "This is an example of a Pokemon. This one's name is 'Pikachu'. As for what Pokemon are in general, they're fantastic creatures that inhabit many different parts of our planet, and they all have incredible powers. Some can shoot fire, launch leaves as shurikens, and even control water. Pikachu here is an example of an Electric Type. All Pokemon have a natural instinct to battle one another to grow stronger and evolve. I guess somewhere in the past, humans were so impressed by how Pokemon battle one another, that they wound up turning it into a sport of sorts. I'm one of hundreds of thousands of trainers that catch, battle, and raise Pokemon in the hopes of entering a big competition known as the 'Pokemon League."
"I see. So, tell me, can this profession provide for a family?" Gid asked, crossing his arms.
"I would say so. See, there are several powerful trainers, known as either 'Gym Leaders', who are employed by the Pokemon League Association. They get paid for testing trainers to see if they're worthy of not only entering the Pokemon League, but also to face an even stronger group called the 'Elite Four'. Trainers such as myself battle against others and earn money from each battle we win," Lincoln replied.
"Hmm, I see. Now, what else can you tell me about yourself personally?" Gid asked.
"Well, as Nana probably already told you, I come from a pretty big family, which consists of myself, my parents, ten sisters, and four pets. Each of my sisters have different personalities and hobbies, for better or for worse. As an individual myself, my interests lie mostly in video games and comics. That being said, I do often try to get myself a trophy for the trophy case we have back home, but my attempts are often… unsuccessful. One time, I tried to run a marathon, and didn't make it across the finish line until after everyone went home. I didn't even get a participation ribbon for that," Lincoln explained, causing everyone, apart from the Kovaks, to wince.
"Ok, but what about talents and abilities?" Gid asked.
"Well, I do come up with plans that work about 50% of the time, usually for my own benefits, but other times to get myself and others out of sticky situations. I'm also pretty smart. I take the detective smarts I pick up from comics and apply them to real world scenarios. Like for example, when I was in Pewter City, getting ready to head to the next town, Brock here told me about a shifty shop owner that sells maps to safely navigate through the cave systems of Mount Moon," Lincoln replied.
"It's true. I was really impressed with how Lincoln was able to deduce he was about to be scammed," Brock added.
"And not only did I get a map leading to something truly amazing, but he also gave me a complete set of really rare Pokeballs, like these," Lincoln said, as he pulled out his Fast Ball, Love Ball, and Heavy Ball, "Pokemon Trainers uses Pokeballs like these to catch and befriend wild Pokemon, and each one has a unique function compared to others."
"Hmm, well, anyone who would be in line for the throne of the Deviluke Empire does need to be intelligent, as well as powerful. Very well. For now, I'll be needing to keep an eye on you to make sure you treat Nana right, and while I would much prefer that she be engaged to someone from a planet that's not in the earliest stage of development, I hereby acknowledge you as her fiancé," Gid proclaimed.
"Well, at least things didn't escalate too far out of control," Nana mused, before she turned to her father, "Daddy, since Lincoln's now officially my fiancé, could you do me a favor?"
"Depends. What is it?" Gid asked.
"I want you to put Lincoln on the Galaxy Assassination Blacklist," Nana asked. Lincoln's face paled upon hearing the word "assassination," as did his friends.
"Uh, what was that about assassination?" he nervously asked.
"Allow me to explain. Now that you are engaged to marry Princess Nana, you would most likely be at the top of the assassination request board across the universe. Several highly paid and skilled assassins would no doubt be paid to come and collect your head. But if King Deviluke were to put your picture and name on the Galaxy Assassination Blacklist, then no client would be allowed to put a price out on your head. If anything, they would no doubt be tracked down, arrested, and tried to fullest extent of the law without mercy," Zastin explained.
"Well, if would ensure that my life doesn't come to an abrupt end, then that would be nice," Lincoln sighed in exasperation.
"Alright Nana, as soon as we're done here, I'll go and put Lincoln's name on the blacklist," Sephie replied.
"Hang on, Sephie, I haven't made my…" Gid quickly shut up when he saw the venomous glares sent by his wife and daughters, "Then again, I suppose it would only be fair."
'Despite being the ruler of the universe, it looks like Sephie's the one that wears the pants in this family,' Lincoln and friends thought. Just then, some robotic drones came flying into the tent, and deployed nets around the Kovaks, before forcibly dragging them back outside.
"Hey, what the…?!" Lincoln exclaimed, as they all rushed outside. There, they saw several humanoid aliens, wrangling in the Kovaks.
"Took us forever to track down our valuable merchandise, but it was worth it!" the leader of the group said.
"Hey boss, look!" one of the underlings said, pointing towards Lincoln and the others.
"Isn't that King Deviluke?!"
"And Captain Zastin too!"
"Oh man, we were not expecting them to be here!"
"Shut yer yaps! Remember, we got the equipment to go toe-to-toe with a Devilukian, remember? They don't stand a chance against us!" the leader said.
"Who are these guys?" Brock asked.
"No doubt they are with the Clan of Echo Mirages," Zastin replied, as he brandished a glowing green energy sword.
"I'll also help out. These vermin have offended me with their presence alone," Gid commented, he voice filled with pure malice.
"Lincoln, you and your friends should stay on the sidelines. Things might get pretty dangerous," Sephie advised.
"Well, we'd still like to help out if possible," Lincoln replied.
"Well, how about this? Dad and Zastin will keep the Clan Members busy, while you sneak around and free the Kovaks and make a run for it?" Nana suggested.
"Sounds good," Lincoln replied, as Gid and Zastin drew away the attention of the Clan, "Alright, now's our chance!" he said, as he and the others went to the aid of the Kovaks, "Don't worry, we'll get you ladies out here," he said as they attempted to cut the netting.
"Man, this net is tough!" Brock commented, as they attempted to cut through the net.
"Hold on, I have something that might help!" Lala said, as she used her D-Dial to call upon a pair of scissors that looked like a bird of some kind, "Mister Snip-Snip Buddy! It'll cut through almost any material with ease!" she said, as her device cut through the netting, and also the Kovaks raggedy outfits in a rather provocative manner. This caused Lincoln, Brock, and Rito to yell out in surprise, and, in the case of Lincoln and Rito, embarrassment.
"Lala! Can't you add some kind of programming that limits what that thing cuts?!" Rito exclaimed, as he and Lincoln averted their eyes. Misty then put Brock in a headlock in an effort to keep him from ogling them.
"Peke, can you do something about their outfits?" Lala asked someone or something.
"Certainly, Miss Lala," a squeaky voice replied, as a light energy emerged from a hairpiece Lala had in her hair, and wrapped around each of the Kovaks, effectively repairing their clothes.
"Alright, they're good to go," Misty commented, as she released Brock.
"We need to get moving. At the very least, we can hide out until our Dad is finished with those guys," Lala said to the Kovaks, who simply nodded, and got up to follow them. Unfortunately, this didn't go unnoticed by the Clan.
"Hey, they're getting away with our merchandise!" one of the Clan Members exclaimed.
"Go after them! Capture our merchandise, and eliminate those others!" the leader ordered. Two of the Clan Members then began to chase Lincoln and the others.
"No! Damn it! I got too careless!" Gid cursed, as he blocked a blow from the leader.
"And that cockiness is going to be your undoing, Gid Lucione Deviluke," the leader chastised.
Meanwhile, with Lincoln and Company,
Feeling that they've put a great deal of distance between them and the Clan of Echo Mirages, Lincoln and company decided to take a break, "Ok, this looks like a good enough place to rest for now," Rito commented, as they all took a moment to catch their breaths. One of the Kovaks began generating electricity between her antennae.
"We should have put some distance between us and them, so you and your friends don't have to worry," Lala said to the Kovak.
"That's kind of odd," Misty commented.
"What do you mean?" Mikan asked.
"Well, the Kovaks seem to not be able to understand what we're saying, but they seem to understand Lala and the others, despite the fact they're speaking English/Japanese," Misty replied.
"Well, in truth, both English/Japanese and Devilukian languages may sound similar, but they're actually completely different. The fact they sound similar is pure coincidence," Momo explained.
"I think there was a Halloween special of a cartoon we have back in the States that has a concept similar to that," Lincoln commented.
"But we don't mind being translators for all of you," Lala replied.
"Thanks Lala. And sorry if this seems like a burden to you and your sisters," Rito replied.
"It's no problem, Rito. We're happy to help out," Momo replied.
"It's so weird. Those Kovak girls are all just like the one in my vision back in Cerulean City. How did it even come to pass this easily? I mean, Miu is an Oni, but I was just joking around with Monsters and aliens in Lincoln's harem," Pikachu muttered to himself.
"Hmm? What was that about an Oni girl?" Nana asked Pikachu.
"Oh, right, you weren't there when it happened," Lincoln replied.
"When what happened?" Rito asked. Lincoln then went on to explain the situation with the deal made by Harriet, and how he became engaged to seven monster girl princesses.
"Whoa, there are really monsters living in this world?" Mikan exclaimed.
"Mikan, do I need to remind you about Oshizu?" Rito quipped.
"Oh, right, I forgot she's a ghost," Mikan replied bashfully.
"Well, to be honest, the monster princesses I'm engaged to are actually from the Monster Realm, and each of their families are pretty big deals. In fact, one of the girls, Charlie, is actually the daughter of the King of the Monster Realm. Her mother, the Queen, even gave me this amulet so that I can return to any place I've been to, including Royal Woods," Lincoln explained, showing the amulet that he had received from Lilianna.
"Well, we're going to have to explain this to Daddy," Nana commented.
"And there's a strong possibility that you'll be meeting at least one of them down the line," Lincoln replied.
"So, have any of those girls tickled your fancy as of yet?" Momo asked, causing Lincoln to fall to the ground.
"Geez, Momo, don't just throw a slowball like that at the guy!" Rito chastised.
"But to answer your question, I'm just friends with them right now. We're going to be dating so that we can work our any problems and try to see how compatible we are with one another," Lincoln replied, as he got back up. Just then, Pikachu heard something, and his cheeks began sparking.
"Sounds like we've got company," he commented. Lincoln and Nana quickly stood at the ready.
"Something wrong?" Misty asked.
"Pikachu says we've got company," Lincoln replied. Everyone got up, looking ready to flee if necessary. It was then that a petite, young girl with long blonde hair, piercing red eyes, and a beautiful black dress emerged from the forest.
"Yami?!" Mikan exclaimed, as she ran up to the girl.
"Mikan Yuuki… You're here too, as is Rito Yuuki," the girl, known as "Yami", replied, retaining a stoic expression.
"Is this a friend of yours?" Brock asked.
"Yep! This is Yami, also known as the Golden Darkness," Lala replied. The Kovaks immediately huddled together in fear at the mere mention of the term. This didn't go unnoticed by Lincoln and friends.
"In truth, Yami is a legendary assassin that has a record equally as impressive as her transformation ability. She uses that skill to eliminate any target that she's contracted to kill," Momo explained.
"Indeed," Yami calmly replied.
'The fact she didn't deny that with a straight face makes her a lot scarier,' Lincoln and the others thought. But then, something occurred to Lincoln.
"Hang on, if she's a legendary assassin from space, then what's she doing on Earth?" Lincoln asked.
"It's because of him," Yami said, pointing to Rito, "I was previously contracted to take Rito Yuuki's life. But even though the contract with that particular client was voided, it goes against my principles to abandon any assignment I was given."
"Is she really out to kill you?" Lincoln whispered to Rito.
"Yeah. It's not ideal, but she is friends with my sister and the others. Even her leader and sister are on relatively good terms with our group, even if not everyone trusts them," Rito replied.
"By the way Yami, what brings you all the way out here?" Mikan asked.
"My ship received intel of a spacecraft that had crash landed onto this planet, so I came to investigate. I was not expecting to see the Clan of Echo Mirages in this part of the galaxy," Yami replied, before noticing the trembling Kovaks nearby, "It would appear they're up to their usual slaver schtick again."
"That's right, now hand over our valuable merchandise!" a member of the clan exclaimed, as he slammed down into the ground before the group, "Navigating this primitive wilderness was rough, but nothing I couldn't handle!"
"Yami, do you think you can handle him?" Mikan asked.
"Not to worry, Mikan Yuuki. Such a foe is easy pickings for the likes of me," Yami replied, as her hair morphed into various weapons, including blades, maces, fists with brass knuckles, and even a guillotine.
"Ah, Yami the Golden Darkness. We had heard you'd been going soft with living on Earth. Too bad for you we've developed technology that even you cannot hope to stand against!" the clan member boasted, as he brandished his own weapon, which appeared to be some kind of blaster. He then fired it at Yami, ensnaring her in a net.
"I see. It's reinforced with several alloys that even I would need time to cut through," Yami stated bluntly, as she used her blades to start sawing through the net.
"Ha! This is going to be too easy! And as for the rest of you," the clan member said, as he fired nets at Lincoln and the others, trapping them in place too. Though in Lincoln's case, he was tied up with both Misty and Nana, in a rather precarious position.
"Sorry about this, girls," Lincoln replied, as he tried to avert his eyes from looking at Misty's butt and looking up Nana's skirt.
"I-it's not your fault, Lincoln," Misty replied in embarrassment.
"Just give me a moment. I'll get us out of here," Lala said, as she began scrolling through her D-Dial, just as the clan member walked past them, and towards the Kovaks.
"All seven of you have given us so much trouble! We're going to enjoy auctioning you off one by one," the clan member said, glaring down at their trembling frames.
"You won't get away with this!" Lincoln called out.
"Oh yeah? What could an inferior human do to the likes of me?" the clan member questioned, when he got hit from behind by what appeared to be a Shadow Ball, "Ow! Alright, what hit me?!" he exclaimed, and turned to see…
"Gengar?!" Lincoln exclaimed.
"Heh, surprised to see me again?" Gengar cackled.
"Wait, are you the same Gengar we met in Lavender Town?" Lincoln asked.
"That's right. I've been watching you from the shadows, and I've come to see that you're a dependable guy, so I think I'll let you catch me. That way, we can travel the region in search of Clive," Gengar replied.
"That's great to hear, Gengar, but we're all a little tied up right now. Think you can deal with that guy in the armor?" Lincoln asked.
"No sooner done than said!" Gengar replied, as he faced the clan member.
"I don't know what you are, but I'm sure you'll fetch a good price in an auction!" the clan member said, firing a net at Gengar, only for the net to faze through it, "What the…?!"
"Alright, take this! Ice Punch!" Gengar exclaimed, as he threw Ice Punch at the clan member, freezing him solid in a block of ice.
"And got it!" Lala exclaimed, as several bug shaped robots appeared, "I knew my Metal Eating Termites would coming in handy!" she exclaimed, as the robots began to swarm over the nets, eating away at them, eventually freeing everyone.
"Well alright! That was handy!" Brock commented, as he got up. And explosion was heard from the direction they had all ran from.
"What was that?!" Lincoln asked.
"If I had to take a guess, I'd say Daddy just got done with the Clan," Lala theorized.
"We should meet back up with him, and hand this guy over as well," Lincoln commented, just as the clan member broke free.
"Why you little… I'm going to enjoy every minute of…" he then noticed his gun was being eaten by the termites, as was his armor, leaving him in only his boxers, "Uh, don't suppose you're willing to talk this out?"
"NOT A CHANCE!" everyone yelled, as Yami wrapped her hair around him, dragging him off. Lincoln and Nana then approached the Kovaks.
"If you come with us, we'll see about putting you under the protection of the Deviluke Royal Family," Nana said, as she and Lincoln extended their hands to them, which the Kovaks accepted. Then, without warning, one of them pulled Lincoln in for a passionate kiss, blushing profusely, "Well, that was a surprise!" she commented, as the Kovak broke away from the kiss with Lincoln. Her antennae began generating electricity again, this time, forming English words.
"Sorry about that. I just figured it would help us communicate better," she projected.
"Uh, don't worry about it. I'm glad we're able to communicate more easily too," Lincoln replied, sounding a little embarrassed from receiving a kiss like that from out of nowhere.
"Still, allow us to make it up to you," the Kovak Lincoln kissed projected insistently.
"L-Like how, exactly?" Lincoln asked, as all the Kovaks quickly swarmed around him, embracing him.
"We offer ourselves as your loyal servants. Please, allow us to serve you, and maybe someday… Eek! Never mind!" the Kovak exclaimed in embarrassment, hiding her face in her hands.
"I don't think they'll take 'no' for an answer, Lincoln. Might as well take them up on that offer," Nana urged.
"I would, but my family back home doesn't have that much money, so I don't know if we can feed them," Lincoln replied.
"Not to worry! Since you're now officially engaged to Nana, the Kovaks can be fed by our family, so you needn't worry," Momo replied.
"Well, I suppose, if it's not too much of an issue," Lincoln replied.
"Don't worry about it. And besides, I'm sure Daddy can find a way to help feed them," Nana replied.
"Thank you for accepting us, in both body and service, Master Lincoln," the Kovak Lincoln kissed projected.
"You're welcome… uh, what did you say your name was?" Lincoln asked.
"Apologies, Master, but ever since our species became a slave race, names have become an extremely rare occurrence, so none of us have any," another Kovak projected.
"Well, it'll drive me nuts just saying 'hey you' all the time, so I'll go ahead and give you ladies names," Lincoln replied. In a fit of joy, the Kovaks then tackled Lincoln to the ground, and began peppering him with kisses.
"Guess they're excited to get new names," Rito commented, as the Kovaks let up, allowing Lincoln, who was covered in kiss marks, to stand up.
"Alright ladies, line up, and I'll give you your names," Lincoln requested. The Kovaks did so, their tails wagging rapidly, 'They really are just like dogs,' he thought, as he then began naming each Kovak.
Back where King Deviluke and the others were at,
The Clan of Echo Mirage members were being escorted onto a transport ship in handcuffs, "We'll make sure they get turned over to the Galaxy Police," Zastin said, as he slammed the door on the cell door.
"Good. See that you do," Gid replied, before turning to the group, "So, you've all looked to have had an adventure and a half today," he commented.
"Well, keeping these girls safe from those guys was a bit tricky, but thankfully, we managed to make it all work out in the end," Lala replied. Gid nodded.
"Good," he replied, turning to Lincoln, "So, boy, it would appear that these Kovaks have accepted you as their new master, am I correct?"
"That's right, sir. I hope that isn't an issue," Lincoln replied.
"Not at all. Until we can find a permanent solution, Lala, Nana, Momo, could you girls take care of these Kovaks?" Gid asked.
"Sure thing, Daddy!" Lala replied.
"Good. Now, what about this creature?" Gid asked, looking at Gengar.
"Ah, right! See, Gengar came to our rescue when we got into a pretty hairy situation. He even said that he wants to come with me as one of my Pokemon," Lincoln replied.
"Hmm! That's impressive! So, how does it work, exactly?" Sephie asked.
"Well, I just take a Pokeball, like this Fast Ball," Lincoln replied, pulling his Fast Ball out of his bag, "Then I toss it at a wild Pokemon like Gengar," he then tossed it at Gengar, sucking it into the Fast Ball, much to everyone's surprise, "And wait for the ball to stop rocking," the Fast Ball began to rock once, twice, three times, before snapping shut.
"Gengar has been registered to your Pokedex," Dexter stated.
"And just like that, I got myself a new friend," Lincoln concluded his explanation.
"Would you like to add Gengar to your party?" Dexter asked.
"Yes, I would. Go ahead and send back Bruce," Lincoln replied, as he swapped out Bruce's Friend Ball and replaced it with Gengar's. The Friend Ball then vanished, "Whenever I catch more than six Pokemon, any extra gets sent to storage."
"My, that's impressive," Sephie commented.
"Yeah, that's what I thought when I experienced it the first time," Lincoln replied.
"Yes. Well, in any case, now that I've recognized you as a suitor for my daughter, I expect nothing less than her getting the best treatment by you," Gid stated in an authoritarian tone.
"I swear, I'll treat her with the utmost respect," Lincoln replied.
"See that you do! Well, that just about wraps up our visit to Earth. We'll drop you and the others off back in Sainan, Lala, Nana, and Momo," Gid said to his daughters.
"Ok Daddy. Just be sure to take care on your way back home," Lala replied.
"We will, sweetie," Sephie replied, as they all began to board the ship.
"Oh, and Lincoln, good luck in your next Gym Battle!" Rito called out.
"Thanks! We'll see you guys around!" Lincoln called back, as he and the others waved goodbye. Once the ship closed up, it took off, leaving the three of them on their own again.
"Well, time to hit the road once again. We should see the Underground Tunnel very soon," Brock commented, as they continued down the path.
"So, what was it like meeting your future alien father-in-law?" Misty asked Lincoln.
"Honestly? It was completely nerve wracking. From what Nana told me, her dad has the power to destroy an entire planet if he so chooses. But based on the short time I spent talking with him, he seems like an all-around pleasant guy," Lincoln replied, as he frowned slightly.
"Something wrong?" Pikachu asked.
"Seeing Nana and them with their parents kind of had me thinking about my family. I wonder if they're all doing alright," Lincoln replied.
"Well, Luan said something about posting a video about exposing the family's true colors to world, as a means to help those three get a heavy dose of reality," Misty replied.
"Really?" Lincoln asked, sounding surprised.
"Yep. Let's just hope her plan doesn't backfire," Brock replied, as they continued on their adventure.
Meanwhile, back in Royal Woods, early morning,
Rita had gotten up early to get a start on cooking her remaining daughter's breakfasts, "Alright, lets see what we got to work with," she commented, as she was about to enter the kitchen when she heard knocking coming from the front door, "Hmm? Who could that be?" she wondered, as she went to answer, and felt a chill run down her spine, as behind the door was some policemen, with very serious expressions on their faces.
"Rita Loud?" one of the officers asked.
"Yes? Can I help you, officers?" Rita asked. In truth, she knew what they were here about, given the knowledge of the video Luan posted the night prior, but it still shook Rita to her core.
"We received intel about foul play in this house. We'd like for you, your husband, and your daughters to come down to the station for questioning," the second officer requested.
