The Surprise Visit
SUMMARY: It's Halloween and the rest of the gang decide to pay a surprise to Tori & Andre. Meanwhile, Leah meets Trixie's parents for the first time.
Set in October 2014
CHAPTER 1:
On October 25th, Leah and Trixie were looking for Halloween costumes. The two girls had been dating for about three weeks now, and everything was just perfect.
"So, Leah, how would you feel about meeting my parents?" Trixie asked.
"Are you out to them?" Leah asked, nervous.
"Of course. They already know I'm gay, and telling them went better than I expected," Trixie explained.
"Well, maybe they'll accept me too," Leah said, hopeful.
"Great. Since you've already invited me over to your house, maybe you could come over to my parents' house tomorrow. We'll have dinner at my place," Trixie suggested.
"I'd love that very much," Leah said.
"Just one thing – we have an in-ground pool in our backyard, so I hope you can bring your swimsuit. Or if not, we can make a plan to go bikini shopping," Trixie added.
"OMG, you guys have a pool? That is so awesome! Whenever I wanted to go swimming, I had to beg my birth parents to drive me to Venice Beach," Leah recalled.
"Yeah, I forgot you were adopted," Trixie said.
"Well, not officially yet. Hopefully soon though; Tori's mom and dad have filed the papers and now we're just waiting," Leah explained.
"I hope the adoption papers come in soon, so you'll officially be one of the Vegas," Trixie said, smiling.
"Thank you!" Leah replied. "I hope so too."
Leah updated her status on TheSlap which read: "I think I found the perfect Halloween Costume! - MOOD = Excited".
That same day in New York, Tori had gotten settled into Andre's new apartment in Bushwick.
"This place is looking amazing so far!" she said.
"I'd much rather live here than those dorms," Andre explained.
"I don't blame you one bit!" Tori added.
"I'm so tired from carrying those boxes. How about we go grab some pizza?" Andre suggested.
"In a bit. I promised Leah we'd FaceTime after school and on weekends," Tori remembered. A moment later a FaceTime request popped up. "Oh, speaking of which." She accepted the request.
"Hey, Tori," Leah said.
"Hey, Leah. How was school today?" Tori asked.
"Great. Though I still question what's up with Sikowitz and his crazy antics. Why just today, I was rehearsing a scene in class and he threw a ball," Leah explained.
"You get used to it. Sikowitz is like that," Tori said with a chuckle.
"Hope so. My arm hurts from that ball. Anyways, what are you doing right now?" Leah asked.
"I'm at Andre's apartment," Tori said. "Finally got the living room decor done. I'll send you good pics later."
"Any word on that audition callback?" Leah asked.
"It's coming. I'll let you know when it happens, and how I do," Tori promised.
"That's great," Leah said.
"So, what are you up to?" Tori asked.
"Trixie and I are going shopping for Halloween costumes, and then once we pick some out, we'll be going bikini shopping," Leah explained.
"Bikini shopping?" Tori asked, puzzled. "Why? Are you going swimming somewhere?"
"Yeah, we are!" Leah enthused. "Trixie's parents have a pool. It'll be way better than always asking for a ride to Venice Beach."
"Well, I hope things work out with you and Trixie," Tori said.
"I hope so too. Meeting her has given me a much needed smile," Leah said.
"I bet. Alright, well Andre and I are going to get pizza. We'll be in touch, alright?" Tori said.
"Later," Leah said, as Tori ended the call.
"Hey Tori," Andre said, catching Tori's attention. "Halloween's just around the corner right?"
Tori thought for a bit. "Yeah, it is! I've been too caught in all the moving and unpacking to realize."
"What if we hold an open house Halloween party here?" Andre suggested.
"Yeah, sounds like a great idea. Hopefully it won't get out of hand," Tori said.
"Nah. Everyone will be having a good time, and we'll be around to make sure nothing crazy happens," Andre replied.
"Let's do it then!" Tori said. "What if we make it a costume party?"
"Sounds perfect," Andre agreed. "What will you go as?"
"Unsure," Tori said. She paused, thinking for a bit. "I could go as Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz, and you could go as the Scarecrow."
"Yeah, sure why not," Andre said with a laugh.
"Yes!" Tori said enthusiastically. She opened up TwitFlash and posted a tweet.
"Having an open to all HALLOWEEN costume-only party in New York this Halloween! And you're invited :)
PS. I'm going as Dorothy! #Halloween2014"
