Hey again everyone, and here we go with my third chapter of this fanfic. (Disclaimer: I don't own Naruto, W.I.T.C.H, Pokemon or any other characters that appear in my fanfic. All rights go to their proper owners). I only own any OC's that appear in the fanfic.

Chapter 3
(At an empty field, a few hours later)
Right now, Naruto was training with his Pokemon that he'd chosen to use against the Gym Leader: his Nidoran, Totodile and Mankey.
He was currently trying to teach Totodile Water Gun and Aqua Jet, so he had some actual water type attacks for the Pewter City Gym.
"Aren't you training for this a little early? We haven't even gotten through Mt Moon yet," Misty said.
Naruto looked at Misty and gave a shrug, as he said "Better to be prepared, then unprepared." He then turned back to his Pokemon, and said "Ok Totodile, let's try Water Gun again. I'm sure you can do it."
["You got it, boss! And thanks for believing in me"] Totodile said, as he jumped up and down happily.
"Well, at least he's got a good attitude" Will said, as she stood off to one side, watching Naruto train his Pokemon.
Kurama nodded in agreement, as he and Pikachu were helping train the other Pokémon in their speed, by having them run laps around the clearing.
Currently, Will's female Nidoran was in the lead by a little bit, with Naruto's Meowth not too far behind her.
Suddenly, Meowth shot forward and passed Nidoran, who was taken by surprise.
["Looks like you have Agility mastered now"] Pikachu said with a smile, as Meowth had been working on that for a while now.
Meowth smiled happily, as that move was very hard for him to master.
"What is Mankey working on?" Will asked, as she looked at Mankey who was taking a stance in front of a tree.
Naruto looked over, and said "I bought a TM in the last town, and Mankey wanted a fighting move besides Low Kick and Karate Chop."
"What's the move?" Misty asked curiously, as she fed her Pokémon.
Mankey suddenly slugged the tree hard, making it fall to the ground in a heap.
"Focus Punch" Naruto said with a smile, proud that Mankey mastered the move.
Will gave Mankey an interested look, as she said "You know if Mankey could learn Focus Energy, he wouldn't need to spend so long focusing his energy into his punch."
["Already have that ketchup head"] Mankey said, with a snarky tone.
Will just raised her hands, saying "Okay. I didn't know you already knew the move."
"Relax Mankey, she's a friend, remember. She was just trying to be helpful," Naruto said.
Mankey huffed, but bowed his head in apology to Will.
"It's ok, you'll get there socially," Naruto said with a smile.
"So what Pokémon are you going after in Mt Moon?" Misty asked them both.
"Sandshrew," Naruto said, as he saw a lot of potential in one of those.
"I think I'll get a Clefairy," Will said.
"Good luck, those are crazy rare to even see, let alone catch" Misty said, with a shake of her head.
Will shrugged, as she didn't mind as she had a feeling she'll find one in Mt Moon.
"So we are gonna train at Mt Moon, and maybe catch a Pokémon then head to the Gym," Naruto said.
["First, let's eat"] Kurama said, as he refused to train anymore without food first
Naruto gave a nod of his head, saying "Okay then. Let's get you guys some food, then we'll go to Mt Moon, then the gym" with the Pokemon giving cheers of approval.

(Later at Mt Moon)
As they walked up the dirt road, they saw the entry into the mountain side, and they saw some people in black uniforms with red R's on their shirts
["Ugh these guys"] Kurama said with a groan, as they hid in some bushes.
"What's the plan?" Will asked Naruto, as there were quite a few of the Team Rocket grunts.
"We observe, and wait a little," Naruto said.
"Will you get lost already?!" a rocket grunt yelled at a Sandshrew, who was trying to block his way into the cave.
The Sandshrew shook his head, ["Go away. This my home, and I won't allow you thugs to destroy it"] he said in determination.
"Looks like the sand rat has an attitude," the grunt said, as even though it didn't understand the Pokémon, it's tone said all he needed to know.
"That Sandshrew's going to need help," Misty said in worry.
The rocket pulled out two Pokeballs, and let out a Raticate and a Fearow. "Let's see you handle two at once," he said with a cruel grin.
Suddenly, a pink blur kicked the Fearow hard, sending it into a tree.
The blur landed, and it looked to be a Clefairy. ["Two against one is cheating ya losers!"] it yelled, as it threw shadow punches.
The grunt gave a laugh, as he said "Well lookie here, the sand rat needs help from a cute mascot Pokémon."
The other grunts laughed at this, but what they didn't notice was Clefairy's eyebrow twitching in anger at being called a cute Pokemon.
["Who are you calling cute?!"] it screamed, as it slugged the grunt hard in his chest, sending him flying into his Fearow.
"Oh great, a tomboy Pokemon" Naruto said with a facepalm.
"I like her, she has a fighter spirit," Will said with a grin.
Naruto just gave her a flat look, as he said "Of course you would, as that is basically a Pokemon version of you."
"You little freak! Raticate, Hyper Fang!" The grunt yelled out in anger, as he got up.
The Raticate ran at Clefairy. ["I'm a Team Rocket Pokémon, and I won't lose to-"] it was saying, before Clefairy grabbed him by his whiskers and started slamming it into the dirt back and forth, like a Ragdoll.
"That thing knows Strength?!" The grunts yelled in absolute fear, as that was a powerful move.
"Oh wow, it's a thug" Misty said with wide eyes.
The grunt returned his Pokémon, and turned to his fellow grunts. "Let's go get the boss, and come back later," he said, as they all nodded and ran off.
["That's right, run ya wuss!"] Clafairy yelled, with a confident grin as the grunts all ran.
["You are gonna challenge something you shouldn't someday"] Sandshrew said, looking at the Clefairy with a flat look.
["Your welcome for the save"] Clafairy said, while crossing her arms over her chest.
["I would have been fine"] Sandshrew said with a huff.
["Oh please. So you know Powder Snow for that bird, who cares"] Clefairy said, not impressed as that was a weak ice move.
["Well we can't all rely on random chance. miss Metronome"] Sandshrew said.
["Hey! I only use that in an emergency, and you know it!"] Clefairy yelled at him, getting in Sandshrew's face.
Naruto and the others were watching this with sweat drops, as Naruto and Will thought "They fight almost like a married couple."
"What are they saying?" Misty asked them.
"They're arguing over if brute force or technique is better," Naruto said.
Misty gave a nod of understanding, as some people were the same.
"I'm gonna go say hi," Will said, as she got up out of the bushes and approached the two Pokémon.
["Oh great, another intruder"] Clefairy said, sounding bored.
"Me and my friends are not with those morons," Will said.
The two Pokemon looked at her with raised eyebrows.
["You can understand us?"] Sandshrew asked her.
Will gave a nod, as Naruto and Misty came over with Kurama and Pikachu following them.
Naruto stood next to Will, and said "I can also understand you two as well." He then pointed to himself, and said "I'm Naruto, by the way."
"Names Will" Will said with a smile.
Misty gave a wave, as she said "And I'm Misty."
Naruto then waved a hand at the two Pokemon with them, saying "And these are Pikachu and the Vulpix is called Kurama."
["Nice to meet ya,"] Pikachu said in a friendly manner.
Kurama gave a nod at them, as he simply said ["Hey."]
Will crouched down to get closer with Clefairy, and said "That was really impressive what you did with that guy's Pokemon."
Clefairy had a pleased look on her face as she puffed up her chest, and placed her hands on her hips as she tried to look as tough as possible.
Sandshrew rolled his eyes, as he was used to this Clefairy not being as girly as the others. ["You know that those guys will come back, and when they do they'll have reinforcements,"] he said to her.
Clefairy scoffed, as she said ["Let them come, I'm not afraid."] She then threw some shadow punches and kicks, as she added ["I'll beat them all, and send every last one of them packing."]
"What are they after in Mt Moon anyway?" Naruto asked them curiously.
["These losers were after the Moon Stones, that are here"] Clefairy said.
"Ah makes sense, those Moon Stones are capable of evolving certain Pokémon" Naruto said, as he gave a nod of understanding.
"Which ones?" Will asked him.
"Nidorino, Nidorina, Jiggilypuff and Clefairy of course" Naruto said nodding at Clefairy.
"Okay, so not as many as I was thinking then" Will said in relief, as she thought the Stones would be able to evolve more Pokemon.
"Well, you guys have two out of the four. Or you should someday" Misty said, referring to their male and female Nidoran.
"So, how do we stop these guys from getting the Moon Stones? Even if we stop them today, they'll just keep on coming, until they get what they want," Will said.
"We could head back to Pewter City, and tell the police," Naruto suggested.
Misty gave a nod, as she found that to be a good plan.
"Hold it. Before we go, I wanna ask Clefairy something" Will said, as she walked over to it.
["What you need ketchup head?"] Clafairy said, with a friendly smile.
Will growled hearing this, as it sounded worse than Wilhelmina.
["Please forgive her. She calls all her friends by nicknames"] Sandshrew said with a shrug.
"Ah she's a tomboy" Naruto said with a smile, as he liked Pokémon that had actual personality.
["Damn straight! I'm not a powder puff, like the other Clefairy"] the pink Pokémon said proudly, hands on her hips.
"And that is why, I want to battle you" Will said with a grin, as she grabbed one of her Pokeballs.
["Oh ho! You want to catch me, huh? Well, you better be ready to work for it!"] the Clefairy said, as she took a battle stance.
"Ok let's do this, Charmander!" Will said, as she threw the Pokeball releasing Charmander.
["Ready to fight Will,"] Charmander said eagerly.
'Clefairy vs Charmander: FIGHT!'
["Let's do this, Mega Punch!"] Clafairy yelled, as it threw a powerful punch at Charmander.
"Dodge!" Will yelled, knowing that was gonna hit hard.
Charmander ducked under the punch, right before the punch hit and struck the tree behind them, making it split and then fall.
"Flamethrower!" Will yelled, as Clefairy was wide open for an attack.
Charmander took a deep breath, then fired out a stream of flames at Clefairy, which hit its mark.
["That's hot, damn it!"] Clefairy yelled out, as it patted away the small flames on itself.
["Not very ladylike are you?"] Charmander asked sarcastically.
["Your one to talk"] Clefairy said with a scoff.
"You're a girl?" Will asked Charmander in complete surprise.
Charmander shrugged her shoulders, saying ["I thought that you already knew."]
"Huh, we should make sure of that from now on," Will said.
["Sucker Punch!"] Clafairy yelled, her fist glowing purple as it struck Charmander in the gut.
"Oh, a Ghost move huh? Impressive" Naruto said with a smile.
["Oh please, she spied on a Haunter to learn that move"] Sandshrew said, while rolling his eyes.
Naruto's eyebrow rose hearing this. "There's a ghost type here?" he asked in surprise, as he didn't think one would be living here.
["Oh yea. In the forest at night, he mostly just trains and beats up bully Pokémon"] Sandshrew said with a smile, as he liked this human a lot.
"Smokescreen!" Will yelled, as she had an idea to end this.
Charmander took a breath, and let loose a bunch of smoke covering the battlefield
Clefairy tried to look through the smoke, as she tried to find Charmander.
"Glare!" Will yelled out.
Charmander's eyes glowed and Clefairy froze, as the move paralyzed her. She tried to move, but it was like she was turned to stone.
"This ends now. Use Slash!" Will said.
Charmander charged at Clefairy from the smoke, claws ready.
Clefairy tried to free herself, but it was too late to do anything, as Charmander slashed her.
She was sent flying back, and hit a stone wall before falling to the ground.
Will pulled out a Great Ball she bought in Pewter City, just in case she found a powerful Pokémon.
"Okay, Great Ball go!" Will said, as she threw it at Clefairy, which hit her in the head and then sucked her inside before closing up, with the Great Ball shaking for a while.
["Stubborn till the end,"] Sandshrew said watching this, as the ball was taking a while to wear Clefairy down.
Finally, the Great Ball stopped and the light on the front blinked and a 'ding' noise was heard, showing a successful capture.
"Yes!" Will said running over, and picking up the ball which then disappeared back to Oak's Lab.
'Clefairy vs Charmander: Fight Over. Capture of Clefairy: Successful.'
"Poor old man," Naruto said, as he could tell Clefairy was gonna give Oak a headache.

(With Oak)
Professor Oak was eating some pizza, when he got an alert about a new Pokemon arriving.
Oak walked over to the computer, and saw that it was Will who caught a new Pokémon.
"Ah good, another one from Will. Hopefully it's easier to manage than that Pinsir she sent last time," Oak said, as that Pinsir was very difficult to look after.
He approached the Pokeball, and saw that it was a great ball. "Oh dear, it must be a good one if she used a great ball," Oak said with a sigh.
Suddenly the ball burst open, and Clefairy burst out. ["I want a rematch!"] it yelled out, with a furious look on its face. With the Professor of course hearing it saying its name a few times.
"Awww, you're so cute. Why would Will need a great ball for you?" Oak said, pleasantly surprised Will caught something so rare, as Clefairy was very hard to come by.
Clefairy turned to give the Professor a death glare, that made him freeze.
"Uh, pizza?" Oak asked, hoping to calm the obviously angry Pokémon.
Clefairy sniffed at the pizza nearby, and gained a big smile where she tackled the pizza on the table, as she gobbled all of it.
"Great, a tomboy Pokemon," Oak thought, as he has seen this before with some cute Pokemon wanting to break the norm with their species.

(Back with Naruto)
["Hey, you need a Ground Type?"] Sandshrew asked, pulling on Naruto's leg.
Naruto gave a nod, as he said "Yeah I do actually."
["Good, as I know Dig, Fury Swipes, Headbutt powder snow and….Fissure"] Sandshrew said.
"Woah, Fissure?" Naruto asked, as that was a one hit KO move.
He nodded his head, as he explained that he learned Fissure from his dad so he could protect other Pokémon in the cave, until he was ready to leave Mt Moon.
"Well, if you want to join us, I'm up for it," Naruto said, as he picked up a Pokeball from his belt and threw it at Sandshrew, who let it hit him and suck him in.
Naruto smiled, as the ball instantly dinged showing it was captured, and then disappeared to Oak's Lab.
"Looks like it's getting dark," Misty said, as she looked up at the sky and saw that the sun had just disappeared behind the mountains.
"Good, I want to explore the forest," Naruto said, as Sandshrew's story about a Haunter sounded like a good chance to get a powerful Ghost Type on his team.
"What for?" Misty asked, as they headed into the forest.
"Sandshrew said there was a Ghost Type in the forest," Will said with a pout, as Naruto has first dibs on this one"
"G-g-g-ghost Type?" Misty asked, her voice shaking at the thought of encountering a Ghost Type"
Naruto wrapped his arm around her, and smiled at her. "It's ok, I'll keep you safe" he said, hoping to comfort her, as he could tell she wasn't a fan of Ghost Pokemon.
Misty slightly blushed, as Naruto held her close to him. "He's so sweet," she thought as she leaned into him slightly.
Will saw this, and lightly smirked knowingly.
As they walked along, the forest got darker and some mist also started appearing.
"You feel that?" Naruto asked Will, as he felt another presence in the forest. He tried to pinpoint its location, but for some reason he couldn't.
"Yea, it's moving around in the mist, and in the trees" Will said, as she moved her head around.
"Go away" a voice in the forest said in a spooky voice, which started freaking Misty out.
"Ok that's enough, you want a real fight. Then let's do this already" Naruto called out into the forest
He then heard laughter in the forest, as a figure appeared from the mist.
Naruto pulled out his pokedex, and scanned the figure.
"\Haunter, the phantom Pokémon and the evolved form of Gastly. This Pokémon is mischievous by nature, and enjoys pranks but if challenged it will fight\" the Pokedex explained.
"A prankster huh?" Naruto said, as he looked at Kurama. "He's all yours buddy," he told him.
["Finally, some action"] he said with a grin, as he leapt forward.
["Ahh, a little fox to spar with"] Haunter said, sounding amused at the thought.
'Haunter vs Kurama: FIGHT!'
"Zen headbutt" Naruto said with a confident smirk, as he knew Ghost Types had glass jaws against Psychic moves.
Kurama ran at the Haunter, with his head lowered as he rammed into the Ghost Type. Haunter let out a cry of pain, and also flinched from the hit.
Naruto then said, "Use Flamethrower."
Kurama spewed out a large amount of flames at haunter, point blank as he was still quite close. The flames washed over Haunter, who was quick to put up a blue veil around itself. ["Nice try foxy,"] the Haunter said, as he tauntingly stuck his tongue out at Kurama.
"Safeguard," Naruto said, as he recognized the attack.
["Good. If I won that easy, it would be boring"] Kurama said with a smirk.
["Confident little thing aren't you?"] Haunter said, as his eyes glowed.
"Shit, that's Mean Look" Naruto said, with an unhappy look on his face.
"What's that move do?" Misty asked, as she had never heard of this move before.
"It means that Kurama can't escape from the fight," Will said.
["Ha! Like I would run anyway!"] Kurama said, as he crouched low ready for Naruto's next order.
Haunter blinked as he was quite surprised, but then laughed at this. ["I like you two. You're the first trainer in a while that showed no fear"] Haunter said, as he held his hands together making a black ball appear.
"Kurama, use Agility and keep moving, then use Double Team!" Naruto yelled, as he recognized that attack.
Kurama quickly ran in zig zags around the forest clearing, as he tried to confuse the Haunter. As he ran, he made copies of himself appear.
Haunter shot his Shadow Ball attack at one of the Kurama's, but it just went through it showing it wasn't the real Kurama.
Haunter tried again, but it went through another fake Kurama.
"Swift!" Naruto yelled out.
All the copies of Kurama fired what looked like stars from their mouths at Haunter, which passed right through him as he laughed at them.
["I can't believe that these two forgot, Normal Type moves don't work on Ghost Types"] Haunter thought with a giggle, as even though the opening attack with Zen Headbutt hurt him badly, this Swift attack wasn't doing anything to him at all.
Haunter felt that the Swift attack only passed through him from behind, so he turned to look at the Kurama facing his back, and sent a glowing shadow on the ground underneath to underneath that Kurama.
"That's a desperate move," Naruto said, recognizing that move as Destiny Bond, which would make it so if Haunter lost, then Kurama would lose too.
The Kurama that Haunter marked with his attack, smirked as it disappeared.
["What?!"] Hunter yelled, as he was sure he had the right one.
["Got ya!"] Kurama yelled, as he jumped at him from a bush nearby.
"Fire Spin!" Naruto yelled with a smile, as he knew this attack would finish Haunter.
Kurama grinned, before he shot a flaming spiral from his mouth, which surrounded Haunter.
Haunter covered his face as the attack hit him, which created a veil again.
Suddenly Kurama shot at him, and tackled him hard sending him flying out of the fire towards Naruto, where he landed at his feet.
["Not bad whiskers,"] Haunter panted, as he laid on the ground sprawled out. ["Ok, so you're gonna catch me right?"] he then asked.
["That was the hope, but Naruto isn't gonna catch you if you're that against it"] Kurama said, as he walked over and sat next to Naruto.
"Yea, I don't have it in me to force you to join me. At least since you seem decent enough" Naruto said with a smile, as he crouched down.
Haunter looked at Naruto and smiled. ["Well, I could do worse for a trainer. So go ahead kid"] he added, with a nod and a smile.
Naruto smiled, and pulled out a Dusk Ball which he'd bought just in case he met a Dark Type, or a Ghost Type.
He threw the ball, which hit Haunter who was sucked in and the ball fell to the ground, and dinged instantly to show the capture was a success.
'Haunter vs Kurama: Fight Over. Capture of Haunter: Successful.'
"Good job," Will said with a smile, as the Pokeball vanashd to Oak's lab.
"Let's hope that Haunter doesn't pull any pranks on the Professor," Naruto said.
["Suckers bet,"] Kurama said snickering.

(Oak's lab)
Oak was panting from exhaustion, as it took him a bit to calm down Will's new Clefairy, as it was very fearful to go train in the mountain area of his ranch, and it kept picking fights with the other Pokémon.
"Never thought I would see a Clefairy make a Nidoking cry uncle," Oak said with a sigh, as he sat down and reached for a cup of coffee.
"\New Pokémon alert,\" his computer called out, alerting him of a new arrival from a trainer.
Oak looked at his computer, and saw it was from Naruto and it was a Dusk Ball.
"Oh my, this must be a good one if he used a Dusk Ball," Oak said as he stood up, and walked over to his computer.
"Where would he find a Haunter this early in his journey though?" Oak asked, as he looked at the screen which showed what Pokemon was in the Ball.
"Well, let's meet this Pokémon. Hopefully it likes the Poke Food I have," Oak said, as he approached the ball and pushed it's button to let it out.
Haunter appeared in a flash of light, and looked around. ["Where is that kid?"] Haunter asked, as he tried to find Naruto.
"Nice to meet you Haunter. I'm Professor Oak, and I take care of Naruto's Pokémon when he has more than 6" Oak said with a smile.
["Ah makes sense, that kid has a full team already"] Haunter said with a nod of understanding.
"Well, at least you're nicer than Naruto's last capture" Oak said with a relieved smile, even though he couldn't understand Pokemon he could tell Haunter looked more calm.
Haunter tilted his head curiously, as he didn't see Naruto having jerks in his team.
"Before you, he sent a Scyther to me, and it has a major attitude problem. It kept bullying the smaller Pokémon, before I put him in solitary for a few hours" Oak said with a frown.
Haunter growled hearing this, as he hated bullies. ["Lead the way old man, this bully is about to get a lesson he won't soon forget"] Haunter said, as he pounds his fist into his palm
Oak could tell that Haunter was unhappy about Scythers attitude.

(With Naruto)
Naruto and his group were just finishing setting up camp for the night, and Naruto was currently making dinner for him and his friends, since they already fed all their Pokemon first as he refused to eat before them.
"What are you making? It sure smells good," Misty asked, as she sat down in the dirt near the fire they made.
"Some stew, along with some rice like my mom taught me" Naruto said with a smile
"Auntie Delia taught you to cook her special stew?" Will asked with a happy grin, as Naruto's Mom was a fantastic cook.
Naruto nodded with a smile. "Yea. Mom spent the last year teaching me her recipes, so I would be ready for when I started my journey," he said, as he stirred the stew, and added some spices just like his Mom taught him.
He then poured some stew into three bowls, and handed the girls one each. He also got out some sliced bread and butter, in case they wanted any with the stew.
"This looks fantastic," Misty said with a smile, as she eagerly smelled the food.
"Well, let's dig in. I'm starving" Will said with a smile.
"Yea. After that we need to sleep, as we are heading back to Pewter City tomorrow, as we have a badge to win. Right Will?" Naruto asked her, with a confident grin on his face.
"Absolutely. It's our fist badge after all" Will answered back, with a confident grin of her own.
"What Pokémon are you gonna use?" Misty asked, as she ate.
"Well, the Pewter City Gym specializes in Rock Types, so I'm gonna go with Nidoran, Mankey and Totodile" Naruto said.
"And you Will?" Misty asked, hoping that Will had a plan as Gym Leaders were tough.
"I'm gonna go with Froakie, Hoppip and Clefairy," Will said smiling.
"That poor gym leader" Naruto said, as Clefairy was probably gonna put the fear of Arceus into whatever it faced tomorrow.

(Next day, at the Pewter City Gym)
"Pretty bland for a Pokémon Gym," Will said, as they approached the Gym which looked like a giant boulder.
Naruto gave a shrug, as he said "Different Gym Leaders must show off their Gyms in different ways."
"Well, it fits the theme at least," Misty said.
["Let's do this already. I want to see a good fight"] Kurama said, as even though he wasn't fighting in this fight, he wanted to see what Gym battles were like.
Naruto and Will nodded, as they approached the Gym's doors.
When they opened the doors, they saw a rocky battlefield as the field was covered with rocks and boulders of different shapes and sizes.
They saw a young man, who was slightly older than them at the end of the battlefield.
"Welcome to the Pewter City Gym, I'm Brock the Gym Leader" he said to them with his arms crossed. "Which of you are here to win a boulder badge?" he asked them.
"Both me and my friend here," Naruto said, gesturing to Will.
"How many badges do you two have?" Brock asked, as he approached a shelf that had several belts with pokeballs on each belt.
"Your our first Gym battle," Will said.
Brock nodded, and picked up the belt from the lowest shelf. "Very well, now which of you is first?" he asked, as he strapped the belt on and walked to his side of the battlefield.
"Me first," Will said, as she was excited to get started
Brock gave a nod, as the referee stood to the side in the middle of the battlefield with a red and green flag in each hand, while Naruto and Misty sat in the seats to the side.
"This will be a 3 vs 3 match. Only the challenger may substitute Pokémon, are we clear on the rules?" The referee said, while looking at each of them as they nodded in agreement. The referee then crossed his arms over his, and uncrossed them as he raised them up, "Then let the match begin!" he said.
Brock grabbed a pokeball, and threw it. "Go Geodude!" Brock said, as what looked like a boulder with arms appeared from the pokeball.
Will pulled out her Pokédex, and scanned the Pokémon she was facing off against. "\Geodude the rock Pokémon. This Pokémon has an incredibly high defensive power, which makes it highly resistant to any physical attacks\" her Pokedex said.
Will smirked, as it was exactly what she expected as she pulled out a pokeball. "Go Froakie!" she yelled, as she threw it forward.
"A Froakie in Kanto? Interesting," Brock said, as he looked at the Pokémon with a calculating look.
"Round One: Geodude vs Froakie, match start!" The referee yelled, as he brought his flags down to signify the match had started.
'Brock's Geodude vs Will's Froakie: FIGHT!'
"Geodude, use Rock Polish," Brock said.
["On it!"] Geodude said, as he glowed brightly, increasing his speed.
Will gave a small scowl, as now Geodude would be faster which would make him harder to hit and avoid when he attacks.
"Okay Froakie, use Smokescreen" Will said, as she hoped that would confuse Geodude about where Froakie is.
Froakie nodded, and opened his mouth which caused black smoke to come from it and cover the battlefield.
Geodude looked around, trying to find his opponent somewhere in the smoke. "Stay on your toes Geodude, Froakie could attack from anywhere" Brock said in warning.
"Bubblebeam!" Will called out.
Froakie jumped high in the air, and fired a Bubblebeam at Geodude. Some of the bubbles made a direct hit on Geodude, causing some damage before he quickly moved out of the way thanks to Rock Polish, before he took more damage.
"Not fast enough to catch him," Brock said. "Geodude, use Rock Throw."
"Not fast enough huh?" Will asked. "Aqua Jet!" She yelled out.
"Damn!" Brock thought, as that move was the equivalent of Quick Attack, only water based.
Froakie charged at Geodude, while surrounded by water, and slammed into him before he could complete his Rock Throw attack.
Geodude was sent flying, and crashed into a boulder. When the dust settled, they saw there were swirls in his eyes.
"Geodude is unable to battle, Froakie is the winner!" the referee said, while holding up a green flag towards Will's side of the arena.
'Brock's Geodude vs Will's Froakie: Fight Over. Winner: Will's Froakie!'
Brock returned his Geodude, and said "You did your best. Now just take a nice nap."
"You're pretty good with your Pokémon," Will said with a smile, at how Brock wasn't mad about that Geodude lost.
"You can't be an effective trainer, unless you are able to actually care about your Pokémon" Brock said sagely.
Will gave a nod of agreement, as she couldn't have said it any better.
Brock then grabbed his second Pokeball, and threw it saying "Let's go Rhyhorn!"
Will pulled out her Pokédex, and scanned this Pokémon. "\Rhyhorn, the Spiked Pokemon. Rhyhorn are known for their physical power, along with having considerable offensive and defensive battle skills.\"
["Let's do this!"] The Rhyhorn yelled, feeling confident as he pawed at the ground.
"Ah a tough guy huh? I have the perfect answer for you," Will said with a smirk.
"Oh god," Naruto said, knowing what Will was gonna do.
Will returned her Froakie, then grabbed another Pokeball. "Let's do this, Clefairy!" she yelled, as she threw her pokeball, and in a flash Clefairy appeared.
["Ok, let's do this. Who's my first victi- I mean opponent?"] Clafairy asked with a smile, as she was eager to battle.
Brock quirked an eyebrow at this, as this was a first as he could tell that this Clefairy was actually willing to fight. "Be careful Rhyhorn, we don't know what this Clefairy can do."
Rhyhorn looked at Brock, ["Don't sweat it. I'll beat this powderpuff in one move"] he said confidently
Naruto and Will both gave a shake of their heads, as they knew that Clefairy wouldn't like being called that.
["What'd you call me?!"] Clefairy yelled out in anger. She then looked at the referee, ["Start the damn match!"] She yelled
The ref could tell that Clefairy wanted the match to start, so he raised his flags saying "Round Two: Rhyhorn vs Clefairy, match start!"
'Brock's Rhyhorn vs Will's Clefairy: FIGHT!'
"Rhyhorn, use Horn Attack" Brock said.
Rhyhorn charged at Clefairy, with his head lowered down as his horn glowed.
"Clefairy, use Strength to catch it" Will said.
"What is she thinking?" Brock thought, as there was no way the Clefairy of a Rookie knew that move.
Clafairy gained a look of determination, and grabbed Rhyhorn as he charged stopping him in his tracks.
Brock had a look of absolute shock on his face, as he didn't think a Clefairy would already have that move. Rhyhorn was the same, as he tried to escape Clefairy's grip but he wasn't able to.
"Throw him, and follow up with a Low Kick," Will said with a smile, knowing a Fighting move would hurt Rhyhorn a lot.
["Yaaaah!"] Clafairy yelled, throwing the Rhyhorn into the air. ["Judo kick!"] she yelled, as she jumped and kicked Rhyhorn back into the ground, which made quite a bit of dust and smoke appear when he hit the ground.
Clefairy landed back in front of Will, with everyone waiting for the dust and smoke to clear.
"Horn Drill!" Brock yelled, knowing Rhyhorn was still capable of one more attack.
"Damn! Will get Clefairy out of there!" Naruto yelled, as he knew if that move hit it was an instant win for Brock and Rhyhorn.
Rhyhorn instantly charged out of the smoke, his horn spinning as he ran at Clefairy.
"Clefairy, Metronome!" Will yelled, hoping she could summon something to stop Rhyhorn.
Clefairy waved her hand's about, and her finger's glowed brightly.
Brock knew she'd taken a gamble doing that, as any attack could appear.
Suddenly a yellow energy formed in Clefairy's mouth.
"Oh boy," Naruto said, recognizing that attack.
"Hit the deck!" Misty yelled, as she crouched down with her hands on her head.
["Hyper Beam!"] Clafairy yelled, as she fired her attack at Rhyhorn, which struck him and sent him flying out of the arena, and into a wall with swirls in his eyes.
Everyone was silent after this, as this wasn't how they expected the match to end.
["Ha! Take that, you creep!"] Clefairy yelled as she put her hands on her hips, as she saw instant win moves as a cheap move.
"Winner Clefairy," the referee said, while giving Clefairy a slightly scared look.
'Brock's Rhyhorn vs Will's Clefairy: Fight Over. Winner: Will's Clefairy!'
Will picked up Clefairy, and hugged her. "Good job," she said with a smile.
Clafairy blinked at the hug, but smiled and let Will hug her as it didn't feel like a girly type of hug.
Brock gave his Rhyhorn a pat on its head, as he told it "That was a good effort Rhyhorn, now take a good long rest" where he then returned it to its Pokeball.
"One Pokémon left," Will said confidently
["Yea bring it on. I'm still itching to go!"] Clefairy yelled, as she threw a few punches and kicks.
Brock nodded, as he grabbed his third Pokeball and chucked it. "You're on, Onix!" as a giant rock-snake looking Pokemon appeared.
Will used her Pokedex to scan it. "\Onix, the Rock Snake Pokemon. Onix is capable of tunneling through the ground, which shakes when it raises its thunderous roar. It can move through the ground at about 50 miles per hour.\"
["Now that's an opponent!"] Clafairy yelled, with a mad grin.
"Battle junkie," Will said, chuckling at Clefairy's antics.
["Damn right I am!"] Clafairy said proudly.
"Third and final match, Clafairy vs Onix begin!" The referee said.
'Brock's Onix vs Will's Clefairy: FIGHT!'
"Onix Dig!" Brock said, as underground was the best approach in his mind.
["Got it!"] Onix said, as he burrowed underground.
"Be careful Clefairy, Onix could pop out anywhere at any time" Will warned her Pokemon.
Clefairy nodded, and cautiously looked around for where Onix might reappear from.
"Calm Mind," Will said, having an idea that she hoped would work.
Clefairy closed her eyes, and focused trying to block out everything but the battle and trying to focus on where Onix could be.
Suddenly she felt something directly underneath her, and she jumped back as Onix shot up from the ground where she previously was.
"Ice Punch!" Will yelled, as she thrusted her fist forward.
"Where did Clafairy learn that move?" Misty asked, surprised that the Fairy Pokémon knew that move.
"It's most likely a TM that her mother gave her before we left Pallet Town," Naruto told her.
Clefairy's fist turned white, with a cold feeling coming from it as she jumped thrust it towards Onix's head, and struck him hard.
Onix roared loudly, as its head was frozen solid.
"Mega Punch!" Will yelled out, hoping this would finish Onix.
["Judo punch!"] Clefairy yelled, as she slugged Onix in the head smashing the ice and sending Onix to the floor knocked out.
The referee raised the flag towards Clefairy and Will, saying "Onix is unable to continue, Clefairy is the winner. Which means that Will Vandom of Pallet Town is the winner."
'Brock's Onix vs Will's Clefairy: Fight Over. Winner: Will's Clefairy!'
Will had a beaming smile on her face, as she ran over to Clefairy. "Good job. I told you learning that move would pay off," she told Clefairy, as she crouched down and patted its head.
["Yea yea, I guess those TM things are ok,"] Clafairy said, admitting that accepting help in getting stronger was worth it.
Brock returned his Onix with a shake of his head, and then he walked towards Will and Clefairy.
"You both did well, and I am happy to give you this Boulder Badge as proof that you won," Brock said, as he handed Will a badge that looked like a gem or a rock.
Will took the badge with a smile, as this was a great first step to getting to the Pokémon League.
Naruto and Misty approached the smiling Will, and Will tackled Naruto into a hug.
"Lucky" Misty thought, as she too wanted a hug from Naruto.
"I suppose you want a match too?" Brock asked, while looking at Naruto.
"Yup" Naruto said with a nod.
"Two on two ok? I only have two Pokémon at your level left," Brock said
Naruto gave a shrug, saying "That's fine with me."
Brock gave a nod, and swapped the three Pokeballs for two different ones.
Brock threw one of his Pokeballs. "Go Graveler!" he said.
Naruto pulled out his Pokédex and scanned this Pokémon.
"\Graveler the Rock Pokemon, and the evolved form of Geodude. Graveler are known to eat rocks, and they like to get into fights.\"
"An evolved Pokémon, well at least this will actually take effort," Naruto said, as he put away his Pokédex and grabbed one of his pokeballs.
"Go Mankey!" Naruto yelled, as he threw his Pokeball
Mankey appeared on the battlefield, with a look of determination on his face. ["Finally a real opponent,"] Mankey said.
["Break a leg pig boy!"] Kurama yelled, supporting his friend.
Mankey gave Kurama a thumbs up in response.
The referee then said, "The same rules apply as the first, now let round one begin!"
'Brock's Graveler vs Naruto's Mankey: FIGHT!'
"Graveler, use Rock Cannon" Brock said, as he wanted to keep that Mankey as far away as possible from his Pokemon.
Gravaler took a breath, and started firing rocks from his mouth at Mankey.
"Mankey, use your Agility to dodge and make your way to Garveler. Use Karate Chop on incoming rocks, if you have to" Naruto said.
Mankey nodded his head, as he ran forward and dodged the rocks and destroyed those that he couldn't.
"Wow, Naruto has been working hard with Mankey to get this coordinated," Misty said.
Will gave a nod, as Mankey was quite difficult at first but he eventually came around.
["Go get him Mankey!"] Clefairy yelled, who was still outside her ball.
Will looked at Clefairy, and asked "Has someone got a crush on Mankey?" with a teasing smile.
Clefairy turned away from Will, with a small blush on her cheeks.
Mankey eventually closed the gap between him and Graveler
"Dynamic Punch!" Naruto yelled with a smirk, as he knew this would end it.
Mankey's fist glowed brightly, and he slugged Graveler hard in the chest, which sent him flying into a large rock, which broke into pieces as soon as Graveler hit it.
["Critical hit!"] Clefairy yelled with a grin, as she could tell that attack hit its mark.
The dust cleared, and showed that Graveler was knocked out cold.
"Jeez, what's with these trainers from Pallet Town lately?" Brock said with a sigh.
"Match is over! The winner is Mankey!" The referee said, as he pointed his flag at Mankey who was punching the air in victory.
'Brock's Graveler vs Naruto's Mankey: Fight Over. Winner: Naruto's Mankey!'
"Ok, final match. Mankey, I want to give another Pokémon a chance. So go sit with your groupie," Naruto said with a smirk.
Mankey crossed his arms, as he blushed. ["Not funny"] he said, as he walked over to the others and sat down on the bench.
"Ok, what have you got left Brock?" Naruto asked him, with a smile.
Brock had just returned his Graveler, and he then picked up his final ball and threw it to reveal what his final Pokemon was.
"A Sudowoodo?" Will asked, slightly surprised that Brock had a Rock Type from a different region
Naruto used his Pokedex to see what it said about Sudowoodo.
"\Sudowoodo, the Rock tree Pokémon. Sudowoodo are known to imitate trees to avoid enemy attacks, but it's body looks more like a rock. As it's weak against water, when faced with any rain, it runs away.\"
["Ha! A coward by nature!"] Clefairy yelled, as she gave a laugh.
Will poked Clefairy between the eyes, with a frown on her face. "Be nice," she said.
Naruto decided on who was a good choice for this match, and threw his Pokeball. "Go Totodile!" he yelled, as the ball opened and in a flash of light his Pokémon appeared, jumping up and down excitedly.
["Oh boy, my first match!"] Totodile said happily, as he jumped up and down.
Misty smiled, as she liked Totodile's attitude.
"Final match Sudowoodo vs Totodile. Let the match begin!" The referee said
'Brock's Sudowoodo vs Naruto's Totodile: FIGHT!'
"Rain Dance!" Naruto said with a smile, as he knew Totodile liked this move, and against Sudowoodo it should help quite a bit.
Totodile smiled, and jumped happily as he fired a ball of water into the air, which exploded and made some rain clouds appear inside the gym.
["I hate the rain"] Sudowoodo said with a frown, as then the rain started to fall.
"Try to end this quickly. Low Kick!" Brock yelled.
Sudowoodo charged at Totodile, and started throwing kicks at Totodile, but he kept dancing around his attacks.
Naruto chuckled at Totodile's antics, as he had hoped that his dancing skills could help him learn to dodge better.
"Bubblebeam!" Naruto yelled, as he saw the rain was starting to get to Sudowoodo.
["Bubbles!"] Totodile yelled happily, as he took a breath and fired a trail of bubbles at Sudowoodo, who slipped on the slippery floor, and fell headfirst into Totodile's attack.
["Ow ow ow ow!"] Sudowoodo yelled in pain, as each bubble struck him in the face.
"Slam!" Naruto yelled.
Totodile then stopped, and swung his tail at Sudowoodo and slammed it into his chest, sending him flying off to the side, knocking him out.
"Well, it was a good try Sudowoodo," Brock said with a kind smile, as he knew Sudowoodo wasn't a fighter, but he was proud he tried anyway.
"The match is over, the winner is Totodile and Naruto Uzumaki of Pallet Town!" The referee said, as he pointed the flag in their direction.
'Brock's Sudowoodo vs Naruto's Totodile: Fight Over. Winner: Naruto's Totodile!'
Totodile jumped into the air in joy, happy that he'd won his very first match. Naruto walked over, and patted him on the shoulder, as he said "Thanks for the help Totodile."
After Brock returned his Sudowoodo, he walked over to them and said "Here's your Boulder Badge to prove that you'd won" as he handed the badge over to Naruto.
Naruto nodded, and took the badge.
"You and your friend are obviously stronger than you look," Brock said. He then smiled, as he jokingly said "If I'd known you two were this strong, I would have used some of my stronger Pokemon."
Naruto gave him a smile, as he nodded.
Will, Misty and the Pokémon walked over to Naruto to give their congratulations.
["So what's next?"] Mankey asked curiously.
Naruto pulled out his map. "Well, next is Cerulean City after we get through Mt Moon. Which should be easy if Clefairy leads us through the mountain."
["No problem, there's a hidden path I can show ya"] Clefairy said.
"A hidden path? That's great," Will said
Naruto gave a nod, and said "Before we go though, we do need to let the police know about Team Rocket trying to grab the Moon Stones."
["Can we eat first?"] Kurama asked, as his stomach rumbled.
"We can get food at the Pokémon Center, since the Police Station is near there," Will said.
The group then gave Brock a wave goodbye, and left the Gym as they went to the Pokemon Center to have some lunch.

(An hour later, at the Pokémon Center)
Naruto, Will and Misty were at the counter after eating lunch and had just collected their Pokemon from being checked over by Nurse Joy, when Officer Jenny approached them.
"You Naruto Uzumaki?" she asked him.
"That's me, what's the problem officer?" Naruto asked her.
"I wanted to get your account of what happened at Mt Moon, since we have some possible Team Rocket members in custody. And I would like you to take a look at some pictures, and see if they are the same ones you encountered," she told him.
"No problem, let's see these pictures," Naruto said with a smile.
Officer Jenny pulled out a folder, and after opening it she placed some photos on a nearby table.
"Oh yea, that's definitely them" Naruto said, as he pointed at the pictures that had faces he recognized, when they went to Mt Moon the other day.
"That's all I need to hear. Now we can charge them, and send a squad to Mt Moon" Officer Jenny said, as she placed the photos back in the folder.
Naruto held out a hand as he gave her a smile, and said "Glad to be of help Officer Jenny."
She gave him a smile in return, and shook his hand before she turned and left the Pokemon Center.
Naruto then turned to the others, and asked "What do you say we head for this secret entrance Clefairy told us about in Mt Moon?"
The girls gave a nod of agreement, as they all left the Pokemon Center.

(Mt Moon)
"Wow, the cops work fast," Will said, as they approached and saw some police officers setting up a perimeter around the entrance.
"They would, Officer Jenny's don't mess around," Misty said.
"Well, let's let Clefairy out so she can lead the way to the secret path," Naruto said, as he didn't want the Officers to spot them, and think they were part of Team Rocket.
Will nodded in agreement, and let Clefairy out who then proceeded to lead them straight to the hidden entrance.
["Ah, here it is"] Clefairy said, as she found a big flat rock and she lifted it with her Strength technique, showing a hidden passage.
"Good job Clefairy," Will said, fist bumping with Clefairy, before she held the way into the tunnel and closed the way behind her once everyone else was in.
"It's dark in here," Misty said while grabbing Naruto's hand.
["Well duh, it's a cave tangerine head"] Clafairy said sarcastically.
Will shook her head at Clefairy's antics, and pulled out a Pokeball and let Charmander out.
["Hey Will, you need any help?"] Charmander asked her.
"Yea. We need a light, so that Clafairy can lead the way" Will said, smiling at Charmander.
["Leave it to me"] Charmander said, as she led the way along with Clefairy.
As they traveled down the tunnel, Clefairy suddenly stopped.
"What's wrong?" Naruto asked, hoping that there weren't any Team Rocket goons in the tunnel.
["Nothing whiskers, but we are near a deposit of Moon Stones. So if you guys want a few, go right ahead"] Clefairy said, while pointing at some shiny rocks that were nearby.
Naruto and Will walked over, and grabbed two each as they felt that was enough for them.
Clafairy nodded, and continued to lead them down the tunnel along with Charmander.
Eventually, they reached a light and they finally made it out of the tunnel.
"Ah, fresh air" Misty said happily, as she placed her hands on her hips and took a deep breath, before breathing it out again.
"Hey look, there's Cerulean City" Will said, as she pointed at the city in the distance.
"Great," Misty said flatly, as her good mood quickly vanished.
Kurama's ears suddenly twitched, and he jumped off Naruto's shoulder and ran off towards some trees nearby.
"What's the deal Kurama?" Naruto asked, as he, Will and Misty gave chase.
["I hear something,"] Kurama said, as eventually they arrived at a tree with a basket nearby. Inside the basket were three Eevee's.
"Awww, they're adorable!" Will said, as she kneeled down to stroke them.
One Eevee sniffed at Will, and perked up and ran to her. ["Hi!"] it said excitedly.
Misty looked, and smiled looking at the three young Pokémon. "What are they?" Misty asked Naruto.
Naruto pulled out his Pokédex and scanned the Pokémon. "\Eevee the Evolution Pokémon. This Pokémon's DNA is so unstable, it can evolve into several different forms depending on the stone or environment it's in.\"
"Wow, that's cool," Will said, as Kurama sniffed the Eevee triplets.
One looked at Kurama, and sniffed him back. ["Hi big bro!"] it said, trying to be friendly.
Naruto barked out a laugh, as he said "Looks like you're going to be a sibling to that one buddy."
Kurama rolled his eyes, but said nothing as he kinda missed having siblings.
"Why are you guys alone out here?" Will asked, holding one of them, which happened to be the one that said hi to her.
["Those R people, with red and blue hair ordered us from their boss"] the third one said, with a sad look.
"Team Rocket" Naruto growled, and Kurama growled too hearing that.
["Yea, that's their name! Some lady with a Growlithe took them away, and they left us here to get later"] the third one said, as he walked up to Naruto.
["I'm hungry bro,"] the Eevee near Kurama said sadly, as all three of their stomachs grumbled.
Misty took her bag off, and looked inside it to see what food she had. "Do you guys like apples?" She asked, as she pulled out a bag with some chopped apples.
["Yay! Food!"] The Eevees yelled, as they jumped around Misty excitedly.
Misty laughed at how happy they were for food, and she opened the bag before she tipped it over, with the Eevee going right to them.
"You guys wanna go with us? We're trainers, so we will make sure you're well fed," Will said as the Eevee's ate.
["Trainers? You guys would make us strong?"] One of the Eevee's asked.
"Yup" Will said with a smile, as she gave a nod.
["I wanna learn to swim!"] One Eevee yelled out.
["I'd like to make my mind stronger"] one said.
["And I'm keen to learn whatever I can"] the third one said.
"Well, if we are gonna catch you we should show you your evolution options, so you can decide" Naruto said, as he pulled out his Pokédex and had the evolutions of Eevee appear on the screen before he showed it to them.
"Oooooo, that one's a water type!/that one's a swimmer!"] Misty and one of the Eevee said excitedly together, looking at the image of Vaporeon.
Naruto pressed on the image, so that they could hear about it. "\Vaporeon, the Bubble Jet Pokemon, and an evolved form of Eevee. The composition of its cells are known to be similar to the molecules in water, and as such, it can melt in water. This evolution requires a Water Stone\"
"Well, you will need a Water Stone for that, as the Pokedex says" Naruto said to them both.
The Eevee near Misty ran back to the basket, and pulled out a small case with its mouth, before picking it up and carrying it to Naruto.
"What's this?" Naruto asked, taking the case from the Eevee.
["The red headed lady said that it held some stones in it"] the Eevee told him.
Naruto opened it, and saw 4 stones in different colors; blue, red, yellow and green.
"Water, Fire, Thunder and Leaf Stones," Will said, recognizing them from an image from a book she read back in Pallet Town.
Naruto handed the Water Stone to Misty, and said "It's up to you and Eevee when you want to use it."
["I wanna swim now!"] the Eevee next to Misty said, as it jumped up and touched the Stone.
Misty had stars in her eyes, as Eevee started glowing and changing shape. When the light died, there was a Vaporeon in Eevee's place.
"You look so cool!" Misty squealed in excitement, and she picked Vaporeon up and hugged her.
["You gonna catch me now?"] Vaporeon asked, smiling as she liked Misty a lot.
Naruto translated what Vaporeon said, with Misty nodding her head saying "Yea, I'll catch you now if you like."
Vaporeon jumped out of Misty's arms, and sat before her as Misty grabbed a spare Pokeball and tapped Vaporeon on the head with it. Vaporeon was then sucked inside it, with the Pokeball then giving a 'ding' as Vaporeon allowed itself to be caught.
The Eevee with Kurama was pawing at Naruto's Pokédex. ["I like this one big bro!"] it said.
Kurama and Naruto looked at the Pokédex, and saw what the Eevee picked
"Ah, a Jolteon" Naruto said as he tapped the Pokédex
"\Jolteon, the Lightning Pokémon, and an evolved form of Eevee. This Pokémon uses its fur to fire as a weapon, in addition to using electric attacks. This evolution requires a thunder stone.\"
["Well, you do need an Electric Type"] Kurama said to Naruto.
Naruto picked up the Thunder Stone from the case. "You sure you wanna be one of my Pokémon?" he asked the Eevee.
["Yup! I wanna be strong!"] the Eevee said.
Naruto gave Eevee a smile, and placed the Thunder Stone on Eevee's head. Eevee then glowed, and began to change shape and when the light disappeared, Jolteon was before them.
Naruto took out a Pokeball, and held it out to Jolteon who headbutted it and allowed himself to be caught, before the ball was teleported to Oak's ranch.
"Well, you have an idea what you wanna be?" Will asked her Eevee, as it looked at her Pokédex.
["I want something cute, but strong!"] Eevee said, as a final image appeared. ["That one!"] she said, pawing at the screen.
Will looked at the choice, and was surprised. "Espeon?" she asked, surprised.
"You need to be fast, and intelligent to evolve into that," Naruto said, as he had heard that a lot of trainers pulled their hair out trying to get their Eevee's to evolve into Espeon.
"What type is that?" Misty curiously asked, looking at the image.
"A Psychic Type," Will said, as she picked up her Eevee. "If that's what you want, I'll try my best to get you there," Will said, as she hugged Eevee. Unknowingly unlocking a gift of hers, that not many had.
Suddenly, Eevee glowed and started to change shape and when the glowing stopped in Eevee's place was Espeon.
Will smiled in surprise, as she picked up a Pokeball and tapped her new Espeon, who allowed itself to be caught, with the Pokeball then teleported to the Professor's ranch,
["How did she do that?"] Kurama asked, completely surprised.
"I think Will may be Psychic," Naruto said, as he recalled a few incidents where she made things shake when mad.
"So, what are we gonna do with the Fire and Leaf Stones?" Misty asked curiously.
"We could see if the Fire Stone works on Kurama," Will said with a knowing look, as she knew what Kurama was gonna do as soon as he knew it was an option
["I can evolve?!"] Kurama yelled shocked.
Naruto gave a nod, as he said "Yeah we just needed a Fire Stone, as that's how a Vulpix evolves."
["Well don't leave me hanging, Stone me!"] Kurama yelled, as he couldn't wait.
Naruto gave him a look, as he said "You know how weird that sounded right, when you asked me to Stone you."
["Oh like anyone cares, now evolve me!"] Kurama demanded.
Naruto rolled his eyes, and threw the Fire Stone towards Kurama, who caught it and started to glow and change shape as he got bigger.
When the glow died down, he was a Ninetales. Only he was dark orange, and slightly bigger than a regular Ninetales.
["Yes! The nine tailed fox is back baby!"] Kurama yelled, as he cackled in joy. He then ran and jumped around the area, to get a feel for his evolved form.
Naruto scanned Kurama with his Pokédex, and saw some interesting information. "Hey, you're a dual type now," he said, getting Kurama's attention.
"Let me guess, Dark type?" Will said knowingly.
Naruto nodded, and showed the information on his Pokédex to her and Misty.
"Well, at least you now have that type covered for your team" Misty said, as she knew Naruto wanted a balanced team.
"Yea. Me and Kurama will be working on learning dark type moves right away," Naruto said, as they all got ready to get moving to go to Cerulean City.
"So, what's the plan for your team for Misty's home Gym?" Will asked him, as they headed back to the path.
Naruto thought about it for a moment. "Bulbasaur and Jolteon should be able to handle it. What about you?" Naruto asked her.
"Pikachu and Oddish have this easily," Will said confidently.
"Yea, you two will probably do pretty well. If my sisters are still in charge that is," Misty said with a frown.
"Why's that? They not very good Gym Leaders?" Naruto asked her.
"Ha! That's an understatement," Misty said, before she told them that her sisters were more into water shows than Gym battles.
"Uhhhh, shouldn't the League officials be watching them?" Will asked, as this sounded just plain negligent to her.
"If it is that bad, they are gonna find out pretty quick" Naruto said. They soon reached a sign, that said which way Cerulean City and Mt Moon were, and they noticed that something else was added to it; which said 'Naruto's too slow from Gary.'
Naruto gave a groan, as he face palmed at Gary's one sided rivalry, before they continued on.

(Cerulean City Gym)
"Under new management?" Naruto asked, seeing a big sign on the top of the Gym.
"Wow, I guess that the League officials got wind of your sisters" Will said, as she looked at Misty.
"Yea, but who's running the gym now?" Misty asked in worry, as they entered the Gym.
"Hello welcome to - Misty! Welcome back!" A pink haired woman, slightly older than Misty, said at a desk.
"Hey Lily, nice to see you again" Misty replied.
"Oooo, who's this?" Lily asked, looking at Naruto. "Did you finally get a boyfriend, Misty?"
Misty went red, hearing this as she shook her head at her sister's antics.
"Sadly, I'm not that lucky," Naruto said with a smile.
Misty's face went even brighter hearing this, and Will laughed at her blushing face.
"Well aren't you a charmer? So, what brings you here?" Lily asked.
Naruto pointed at himself and Will, saying "The two of us are here for a Gym battle."
"Yea, so bring out this new management," Misty said, while using air quotes.
Lily shook her head at her sister. "I would watch it, or you won't be getting an autograph sis," Lily said in a knowing voice.
"I don't want an autograph from Daisy or Violet," Misty said with a scowl at her sister's ego.
"Not them, the League officials got a new Gym Leader for us. A certain rising star from the Galar Region," Lily said with a cheeky grin.
Misty froze hearing this. "They sent Nessa?!" Misty yelled in shock.
Lily gave a nod, saying "The one and only little sis."
"But how? She can't use Dynamax here, as our gym isn't equipped for that" Misty asked. Naruto and Will looked at each other curiously, as they had no clue what Dynamax was.
"The League officials said that's not allowed against challengers, at least not until the renovations are done," Lily said.
"Hello? What is Dynamaxing?" Will asked them.
["Yea, it sounds like a gimmick"] Kurama said, as he sat next to Naruto.
"It's from the Galar region. Pretty much, it lets you turn your Pokémon giant for a short while" Misty said.
Kurama grinned hearing that, as he imagined himself standing over all the other humans and Pokemon.
"Oh great, now he's gonna get annoying unless I find a way to get that for him," Naruto said, as he could tell what Kurama was thinking.
"Oh god," Will said, as she slapped her forehead.
Lily pushed a button, and said into an intercom "Nessa, you have two challengers!"
{"Let them through Lily,"} a woman replied from the other end.
Lily pointed towards a door nearby, as Naruto, Kurama, Will and Misty walked towards the door, which automatically opened.
"Wow," Naruto said, as it was a massive pool-like arena with different coloured platforms floating in the water.
"Are you my new challengers?" a woman asked them, as she was standing off to one side.
"Woah!" Naruto and Will thought together, as they both slightly checked Nessa out.
Nessa had blue eyes, and long blue and black striped hair. She was wearing a white crop top, and shorts that had orange details with a number 049 on it. She had hoop earrings, two armlets and a band of some kind on her right wrist with a single glove on the same hand. She had a belly chain, along with white and blue sandals, that had buoys on them.
Misty looked at Will, and was surprised. She then tapped her on the shoulder, and whispered "Are you checking her out?!"
Will looked at Misty. "Hey, I'm not the only one" she said, while pointing her thumb at Naruto, who's eyes were on Nessa, as she started walking over to them.
"Yea, but he's a guy and most guys drool over Nessa," Misty said.
"What, I'm bi. What can I say?" Will said with a smile and a shrug, as she scratched the back of her head.
Misty just shook her head, as Nessa walked over to them.
"You must be Misty, the younger sister and the former Gym Leader. It's a pleasure to meet you," Nessa said, as she held out her hand.
Misty blushed lightly hearing this, as she shook Nessa's hand. "Uh thanks," she said. She then shook her head slightly, as she then asked "I do have to know though; what about your Gym and your modelling, and why were you chosen as the Gym Leader for this Gym?"
Nessa gave her a smile, as she replied "In order of your questions; it's my off season back home and I can model here. And because your sisters said something about you being a big fan of mine, I decided to come and be the Gym Leader and meet you."
"So which of you is going to face off against me first?" Nessa asked, as she looked at Naruto and Will.
Naruto was still drooling, so Will gave him a pinch on the shoulder which snapped him out of it.
"Mr Drool here, will face off against you first," Will said with a smirk.
Nessa gave a nod, as she said "Okay that works for me. This way, Mr Drool" she said to Naruto with a smirk, as she turned and headed for one end of the arena.
Naruto just hung his head, as that was an embarrassing nickname to have, as he went for the other end.
Will, Misty and Kurama sat down at some benches, while Naruto and Nessa stood ready.
"Does two on two work for you?" Nessa asked Naruto.
He gave a nod, as he said "That works for me just fine."
She then gave a nod to the ref, who nodded back.
Nessa picked one of her Pokeballs, and tossed it saying "Let's do this Krabby" as a crab looking Pokemon appeared on the field.
Naruto used his Pokedex to scan the Pokemon. "\Krabby, the River Crab Pokemon. While living in a burrow it makes on sandy beaches, this Pokemon can grow back its pincers if they ever break off in battle.\"
Naruto grabbed one of his Pokeballs, and threw it forward saying "Let's go Jolteon."
["Yay. Let's do this!] Jolteon said with excitement in his voice.
"Krabby vs Jolteon, let the first match begin!" The ref said holding up the flags.
'Nessa's Krabby vs Naruto's Jolteon: FIGHT!'
"Avoid the water and fire a Bubblebeam!" Nessa said, while pointing at Jolteon.
Krabby lifted one of his claws, and fired a beam of bubbles at Jolteon.
"Use Pin Missile to destroy the bubbles, and follow up with Thunderbolt" Naruto said, glad he took the time to use a few TMs on Jolteon before they came to the Gym.
Jolteon fired some of his spiky fur at the bubbles, which destroyed them clearing the way to Krabby.
["Zap zap!"] Jolteon said with a smile, as he fired a lightning attack at Krabby.
"Not so fast! Protect!" Nessa yelled confidently.
Krabby lifted his claws, and a green barrier appeared around him which took the lightning attack leaving Krabby unaffected.
"Clever" Naruto said with a grin, as he was glad it wasn't gonna be easy to defeat Nessa, who was obviously a better Gym leader then Brock was.
"Wow, she's actually pretty good," Will said, impressed with Nessa's skills..
"Of course she is, she's one of the best water trainers" Misty said with a smile.
["Don't let it get you down kid!"] Kurama yelled at Jolteon.
["Don't worry big bro. I'm not done yet!"] Jolteon yelled with a determined grin.
"That won't work forever you know," Naruto said to Nessa.
"That's why I'm ending this now. Krabby, jump over to his side and use Metal Claw!" Nessa said.
Krabbys claw glowed brightly, and he jumped high toward Jolteon's platform.
"Dodge and use Swift!" Naruto said, with a plan forming in his head.
Krabby took a swing at Jolteon as he landed on his platform, but he dodged to the side and fired a barrage of stars out of his mouth which struck Krabby.
"Double Team!" Naruto said, hoping this idea would work.
Several images of Jolteon appeared, and they surrounded Krabby.
Krabby looked at the Jolteon's surrounding him, but it couldn't figure out who was the real one.
"Hang in there Krabby!" Nessa yelled, hoping for a way to tell who was the real Jolteon.
"Hit him with Take down, and send him into the water!" Naruto said, seeing his chance.
The image of Jolteon behind Krabby jumped forward, and struck him sending Krabby flying into the pool.
"Get out of there Krabby!" Nessa yelled, sounding worried.
"Too late! Hit him with Thunder!" Naruto said with a smile.
["Its a crab fry!"] Jolteon said with a smile, as he let loose a massive lightning attack which struck the pool and zapped Krabby.
When the attack died down, Krabby was just floating in the pool knocked out.
"Krabby is unable to battle, the winner is Jolteon!" The referee said, while pointing her flag at Naruto and Jolteon.
'Nessa's Krabby vs Naruto's Jolteon: Fight Over. Winner: Naruto's Jolteon!'
"Good job Jolteon" Naruto said with a smile at his Pokémon.
["That was fun!"] Jolteon said happily, as it liked the rush of battle.
Nessa returned Krabby so he could recover. She then took out her last Pokeball, and threw it forward "It's showtime Drednaw!" she said, letting out her Pokémon which looked like a giant turtle
Naruto scanned the new Pokémon with his Pokédex hoping for useful information
"\Drednaw the Tortoise Pokémon, this is a Water and Rock Type. It has a nasty temper, so if it gets mad at you it's best to retreat.\"
"A Water and Rock Type? That's a bad combination for Electric Pokemon" Will said, sounding worried about Jolteon.
"Well, it makes sense that a water expert would use a Pokémon like this, so electric types couldn't just always win" Misty said with a nod.
["Its a bad matchup kid, switch out!"] Kurama yelled at Naruto.
Naruto nodded, and returned Jolteon as he agreed that Jolteon had no chance against this. He then pulled out a Pokeball and tossed it. "Let's do this Bulbasaur!" he yelled, letting out his Pokémon.
["Ready to go!"] Bulbasaur said, with confidence in its voice
"A Grass Type" Nessa thought, slightly worried as that was a major weakness of Drednaw's.
Drednaw growled, seeing Bulbasaur as he still wanted to fight.
"The last match is Drednaw vs Bulbasaur, let the match begin!" The ref said, as she held up her flags.
'Nessa's Drednaw vs Naruto's Bulbasaur: FIGHT!'
"Sunny Day!" Naruto said with a smirk, as he had an idea to end this quickly.
Bulbasaur's bulb glowed, as it fired a burst of light into the sky which glowed brightly like a sun.
"Oh no you don't! Quickly Drednaw, use Ice Fang!" Nessa said, having a good idea what Naruto had planned.
Drednaw jumped into the pool, and swam towards Bulbasaurs platform with his jaw glowing blue as he swam.
"Got you" Naruto thought, as Drednaw climbed on Bulbasaurs platform. "Leech Seed!" he said.
Bulbasaur's bulb glowed, as it fired a seed at Drednaw which struck him and covered him in vines, and started to drain his energy.
"He baited me!" Nessa thought in shock, as she was surprised Naruto got the drop on her.
"End this with Solarbeam!" Naruto said, while pointing at the still in effect Sunny Day.
["Game over"] Bulbasaur said, as his bulb glowed brightly and then quickly fired a yellow beam at the still tangled Drednaw, which struck him and sent him flying into the wall nearby.
When the dust cleared, they all saw that Drednaw was knocked out cold.
"Drednaw is unable to continue, the match goes to Bulbasaur and Naruto!" The ref said, as she pointed a flag at Naruto and Bulbasaur.
'Nessa's Drednaw vs Naruto's Bulbasaur: Fight Over. Winner: Naruto's Bulbasaur!'
Suddenly Bulbasaur started to glow brightly, as its form changed.
When they saw the light die down, they saw that Bulbasaur was now an Ivysaur.
"Congratulations Ivysaur," Naruto said, as he scanned his Pokémon with his Pokédex.
"\Ivysaur the Seed Pokemon, and the evolved form of Bulbasaur. This Pokemon is a Grass and Poison Type. After evolving, its bulb is now a flower bud and it gets bigger if it's a sunny day.\"
["Finally"] Ivysaur said, happy that he finally evolved.
"Congratulations on evolving, and winning the match you two. I am happy to present you with the Cascade Badge" Nessa said, as she approached their pool side, and handed Naruto a badge that looked like a water drop
"Two down six to go," Naruto said happily, as he put his badge away in a case.
Nessa then turned to look at Will. "Your next right?" she asked her.
Will jumped to her feet, and nodded as she walked over her end of the field with Nessa going back to hers, while Naruto returned his Ivysaur and went to sit with Misty and Kurama.
Nessa took out a Pokeball, and threw it. "Showtime Seel!" she said, sending out her Pokémon.
Will took out her Pokédex and scanned the new Pokémon. "\Seel the horned Pokémon. This Pokémon's horn is so strong, it can bash through thick ice easily.\"
Will nodded as she put her Pokédex away and took out a Pokeball. "Let's go Oddish!" she said, letting her Pokémon out onto the field.
["O-ok I'll try"] Oddish said, sounding nervous as she didn't want to disappoint Will.
"It's ok Oddish, I have full confidence in you" Will said with a kind smile.
Oddish calmed down, and nodded ready to fight.
Nessa smiled at this, liking that Will was so kind to her Pokémon
"Seel vs Oddish, let the match begin!" the Ref said, holding up her flags.
'Nessa's Seel vs Will's Oddish: FIGHT!'
"Seel, use Powder Snow" Nessa said, while pointing at Oddish.
"Oddish, dodge it like I taught you, and let loose some Stun Spore" Will said.
Oddish started dancing around, dodging the snow that came near her, while also letting loose some yellow powder on the field
"Interesting way to teach a Pokémon to dodge. Seel, get in the water and make your way towards her, and attack with Headbutt" Nessa said.
Seel jumped into the water, avoiding the Stun Spore completely, and swam towards Oddish's platform.
"Wait for him to surface, and use what I taught you Oddish," Will said confidently.
Oddish gave a nod, and watched the water to see where Seel would appear from.
Suddenly, Seel broke the surface and before he could do anything, Oddish glowed and sucked some green energy from Seel.
"Absorb?" Nessa asked in confusion.
"Nope, way worse. Oddish, keep up the Giga Drain!" Will yelled with a smile, as this move was a heavy hitter against Water Types.
Seel suddenly fell to the side tired. ["So tired,"] he said in a sleepy tone, as he couldn't move a muscle.
"The match is over, the winner is Oddish!" the ref said, pointing a flag at Will and Oddish.
'Nessa's Seel vs Will's Oddish: Fight Over. Winner: Will's Oddish!'
Will smiled at her Pokémon proudly. "See? You're stronger than you think," she said.
Oddish smiled brightly, as she felt confident for once. Suddenly, she started glowing brightly and started changing form.
When the light faded, in Oddish's place was Gloom.
Will smiled, even brighter and pulled out her Pokédex
"\Gloom the Plant Pokémon, and the evolved form of Oddish. This Pokémon is a Grass and Poison type. It can make a smell so strong, it can render a Gyarados unconscious.\"
"Nice one Gloom," Will said as she kneeled down, and gave her newly evolved Pokemon a hug.
["I'm glad I can hug you back now,"] Gloom said happily, as she hugged Will with her new arms.
Nessa smiled at this, as she returns Seel, and pulled out her final Pokeball. "Let's go Lanturn!" she said, as she threw the Pokeball, sending out her Pokémon
["What is that thing?"] Kurama asked, unimpressed with the new Pokémon.
Will scanned the Pokémon with her Pokédex. "\Lanturn, the deep sea Pokémon. This Pokémon is a Water and Electric Type. Lanturn are known to explore the deepest parts of the sea, and are immune to all Electric attacks, so it can defend itself even in the water.\"
"Impressive," Naruto said, as she had two Pokemon that were able to stop Electric moves from hurting them.
"You up for another round, Gloom?" Will asked her evolved Pokemon.
Gloom gave a nod, showing it was still able to fight. ["I wanna test out some of my new moves"] she said.
Will smiled, glad Gloom had some confidence now that she had evolved.
"The final match is Lanturn vs Gloom, begin!" The ref said holding up her flags.
'Nessa's Lanturn vs Will's Gloom: FIGHT!'
"Alright Gloom, use Acid!" Will said, knowing Gloom knew that move now.
"Dodge it Lanturn by swimming under the water. Then come back up somewhere else, and use Thunder Wave," Nessa said.
Lanturn dived into the pool, just as Gloom had fired purple blobs at where Lanturn was.
"Stay calm, and pay attention Gloom. You can dodge this, it's no different than before," Will said.
Gloom gave a nod of agreement, and looked around to see where Lanturn was going to come up.
Suddenly, Gloom saw a yellow light in the water, and jumped just in time to avoid some yellow waves that shot out of the water at her, from the visible Lanturn who just surfaced.
"Petal Dance!" Will yelled, pumping her fist knowing that if this hit, then it was game over for Lanturn. And if it doesn't then Gloom would end up confused.
Gloom fired off leaves that were flowing around the area, when suddenly Gloom rushed Lanturn with some rapid hits that were heard around the arena.
"Ouch/ouch,"] Naruto and Kurama said together while wincing, as Lanturn landed into the water hard, from the beating it took from Gloom. Lanturn then resurfaced, with swirls in its eyes.
"The match is over! The winner is Will Vandom and Gloom!" the ref said, while pointing a flag at will and Gloom.
'Nessa's Lanturn vs Will's Gloom: Fight Over. Winner: Will's Gloom!'
["I'm so dizzy, did we win?"] Gloom asked, dazed as she stumbled about.
"Yes, we won Gloom!" Will said, while picking her up with a smile.
["Yay, I need a nap"] Gloom groaned out, not used to using that attack yet.
Will smiled, and returned Gloom for a well deserved rest. Nessa then walked over, as she held out a Cascade Badge for Will to take. "Proof that you beat me," she said with a smile.
"Thanks, and I hope you aren't mad that me and Naruto beat you," Will said.
"Don't worry about it. You both earned those badges, so don't let anyone tell you otherwise," Nessa said with a smile, as Naruto, Misty and Kurama approached them at the edge of the pool.
"Thanks Nessa, and hopefully when we get stronger, we can fight again with you at your best, and not use weaker Pokémon," Naruto said with a grin.
"I look forward to that day Naruto. Oh, and here" Nessa said, handing him a piece of paper.
Naruto took it, and saw it was a picture of her dressed in a sexy dress, with her phone number written on the back.
Will looked over his shoulder, and wolf whistled at what she saw.
Kurama snickered seeing this, as he always found things like this funny.
"Ok, enough from the peanut gallery," Naruto said, while putting the picture safely away.
"Where to next?" Misty asked, shaking her head at her friend's behaviour.
Naruto pulled out his map on his pokenav, and looked it over for a while, before saying "Looks like the next Gym is in Vermilion City, which is at least a week away."
"Good, as you will need more training, as the leader there doesn't hold back" Nessa said with a scowl.
The others looked at her, as Will asked "So you've heard about them then?"
Nessa gave a nod, as she said "Oh yeah. His name is Lt Surge, and he's a ruthless Gym Leader."
"Surge? Let me guess, Electric Types?" Naruto said.
"I think it's just one Pokemon that he uses; a Raichu. As I've never heard of him using any other Pokemon" Nessa told them.
"Probably because nobody has been able to beat his Raichu," Will said, as no trainer no matter how confident, used only one Pokémon.
Nessa shrugged, as she replied "If he does have any other Pokemon, I don't know what they are."
Naruto just clapped his hands together, and rubbed them before saying "Well, looks like we'll have to be prepared for anything he might throw at us then."
The girls just gave him a flat stare, with Kurama shaking his head.
"Let's get going, before you get a swelled head" Will said, as she pushed Naruto towards the exit.
"See ya Nessa, it was great meeting you" Misty said, as she followed after them.
"Same to you Misty. Oh! And here," Nessa said, handing her a Pokeball. "My Drednaw hatched an egg, and I was looking for someone to raise it. You up to the challenge?" she asked with a smile.
Misty had a look of surprise on her face, before she shook her head and replied "Yes, I'd be honoured," as she took the Pokeball from Nessa.
Nessa gave her a smile, as Misty ran after her friends, as they were waiting at the entrance to the Gym, ready to continue their journey

Hope that you enjoyed the Gym battles, and the reason they were so short was that Naruto and Will were more experienced and older then Ash when he fought Brock, and they had the perfect Pokemon to fight against Brock's. And as you can see, Nessa is the Cerulean City Gym Leader while she's off season for her Gym (and I don't know how it works out in the anime or manga, but the way I see it, each of the Regions would take turns in having their Gyms and League's open.)
