Kanto Gets Loud
Chapter 90: A Perky Peck of Pikachu!
The Next Day, on the path to Evolution Mountain,
Having finished their business in Stone Town, Lincoln and friends were pedaling uphill towards Evolution Mountain, intent on heading to Sunny Town, "Alright, as soon as we're at the top of the hill, we should see the tunnel connecting to Sunny Town," Brock said, as they rode up the hill.
"Sounds great! We'll be sure to get there in plenty of time for the next Contest!" Lincoln commented.
"So, what Pokemon live on and in Evolution Mountain?" Misty asked.
"All the kinds that evolve using Evolution Stones," Brock replied.
"You mean like Pikachu, Eevee and Poliwhirl?" Lincoln asked.
"That's right. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if we encountered a few of them as we bike through the tunnel," Brock replied.
"Oh, I would just love it if there were any Shellder living there," Misty gushed slightly.
"Shellder's the Pokemon that Lorelei used back on the St. Anne, right?" Lincoln asked.
"That's right. It evolves into a Cloyster when a Water Stone is used on it," Brock replied.
"But Lorelei's ace Pokemon, Lapras, is possibly the best of all her Water Pokemon! It's just so majestic!" Misty gushed again.
"I'll have to look both Pokemon up when we stop for a break," Lincoln mused, as they reached the top of the hill. And just as Brock said, the entrance to the tunnel in the mountain a few feet away from them, "Alright, now we're getting somewhere!" Lincoln said, as they pedaled straight into the tunnel, unaware that a certain trio was flying overhead in a familiar balloon.
"So, the twerp and his friends are taking the tunnel to Sunny Town, huh?" Meowth mused, as he and James spied on them entering the tunnel with their binoculars.
"It does say on the maps that it is the quickest route from Stone Town," James replied.
"So what? Is there anything really worthwhile on that mountain?" Jessie questioned lazily.
"Well, Evolution Mountain is home to a plethora of prime Pokemon that use Evolution Stones," James replied.
"Just like what Tyson and them were collecting the other day?" Jessie asked, looking up.
"Indeed. In fact, according to this copy of the land survey of the mountain, there are several openings in the tunnel that lead out onto the surface of the mountain. We could try our hand at poaching some rare and valuable Pokemon for both profit and for the sake of our teams," James replied.
"Yeah, and we can cop some stones will we're at it! Lots of people will pay top dollar for Evolutionary Items. After all, we did get a hefty sum of money from those items we stole from the party, am I right?" Meowth added.
"Not to mention I received intel that there's a mass outbreak of Pikachu happening there as well," James added.
"I suppose you're right. It has been a while since we've actually adding more Pokemon to our ranks, and we could do with more money. Then let's get to some poaching!" Jessie declared, as they flew towards the mountains.
Meanwhile, in Royal Woods, Lance's house,
Lance, his family and their exchange students were getting ready for bed, while Emily was looking off into the night sky, "Emily?" the young seraph jumped slightly when Sharon poked her head in, "Sorry if I scared you. Is something on your mind?"
"Well, you could say that. After this weekend, the Glam sisters and I will be starting our new school, right?" Emily asked, as Sharon sat down next to her.
"Yes, you will be. I guess you're a little nervous about starting a new year at a new school?" Sharon asked.
"Kind of. I mean, it is exciting to learn more about humans by going to one of their schools, but I'm worried that I might be alienated or overwhelmed by them," Emily replied.
"You don't have to worry. I'm sure the school staff will have some regulations to help keep you and your siren friends from getting too overwhelmed. Plus, you'll have Shane and his cousins to help you girls out if needed," Sharon reassured.
"And if it helps," both looked to see Shane standing in the doorway, "Luna and the others introduced me to a guy that can help not only you girls understand more about the Human Realm, but can help us learn more about you."
"How do you mean, Shane?" Sharon asked.
"The guy does radio podcasts on the internet. I figured that after you and the twins spend a week at school, getting more used to humans outside of us, he could invite the three of you onto his show to let people ask questions about you. Heck, he might even invite Mr. D-Ragon onto his show as well," Shane replied.
"Hmm, how interesting. What do you think, Emily?" Sharon asked.
"That sounds like a wonderful idea!" Emily replied.
"I can't say I'm against the idea either," Mr. D-Ragon commented, as he slithered up to the doorframe, "There's got to be a lot of fools out there that want to learn about us Monsters."
"I can relate to what you're saying, but maybe not call the humans 'fools', alright?" Emily suggested gingerly.
"Eh, you might have a point there," Mr. D-Ragon replied, as he slithered back to his room.
"As I said, the whole podcast thing will happen after your first week of school, just so that you can test the waters," Shane said, as he proceeded to head back to his room.
"Well, at least you'll have something to think about during your time at Royal Woods High. But try not to think too much about how you and your friends will be treated," Sharon said, as she left Emily in her bedroom. The young seraphim looked out into the night sky once more.
"I bet the night sky in the Human Realm is every bit as beautiful as the Monster Realm," she said quietly, as she proceeded to get changed for bed.
Back with Lincoln and Company,
About halfway through the tunnel, the trio found themselves on the outside of the mountain, with lush greenery and rocky terrain. They decided to stop and have a nice lunch, prepared by Brock, "Delicious as always, Brock!" Misty commented, eating the sandwiches Brock had prepared.
"And the Pokemon all look to be happy with their meals too," Lincoln commented, seeing their Pokemon were all chowing down on their Pokemon. Lincoln's team, apart from Pikachu, now consisted of Sceptile, Gyarados, Dragonite, Absol, and Goodra, "You all enjoying yourselves?"
"The food's great, boss!" Sceptile replied.
"I've never had anything this delicious when I was with my original trainer," Absol added.
"That's all good to hear," Lincoln replied.
"I take it that they're singing the praises of Brock's Pokemon Food recipe?" Misty asked.
"Yep. Which is only natural, given how all our other Pokemon love eating Brock's food," Lincoln replied.
"Aww, you guys!" Brock said bashfully. It was then that Lincoln thought of something he's been thinking of for a while since he got most of his recent Pokemon.
"Hey you guys, how would you like to be given nicknames?" Lincoln offered, catching his team's attention.
"Nicknames? Like what Lapis and Queeny and some of the others have?" Goodra asked.
"It would take some getting used to, what, with not being called by our species name and all," Absol added.
"Trust me you guys. Lincoln has come up with tons of creative nicknames for the others, and they all really like them!" Pikachu replied.
"Well, I'm all for it," Dragonite replied.
"Same here," Sceptile added.
"I, too, am not against receiving a nickname of my own," Gyarados added.
"Great! Goodra, you're up first. And the name I've come up for you is 'Lavender'," Lincoln said.
"Ooh, I like that name!" Goodra replied, accepting her new nickname.
"I thought you'd like it. Now, for Sceptile. It took a bit of digging around for a good nickname for you, but I think I'll name you Konoryu," Lincoln replied.
"Hmm, interesting name. Any chance I can get an explanation?" Sceptile asked.
"The name itself means 'leaf/forest dragon'. During our time in Stone Town, I saw that your species is capable of Mega Evolution, and when you do, you gain the Dragon Type. Plus, given that you are the Forest Pokemon, well, you know," Lincoln explained.
"I love it!" Sceptile exclaimed.
"Alright, now onto Gyarados. Your nickname was an easy one for me to decide upon. How do you like the sound of 'Leviathan'?" Lincoln asked.
"'Leviathan'? Sounds interesting. Is there a story to that as well?" Gyarados asked.
"Well, I've heard stories about a massive sea serpent known as the 'Leviathan', and since you kind of look like a sea serpent, well, you can see where I'm going with this," Lincoln replied. Gyarados nodded, accepting his new nickname, "Alright, next up is you, Absol, and the name I've decided for you has to do with your classification as the Disaster Pokemon."
"A nickname based on my classification? How intriguing," Absol mused.
"The name I've decided on for you will be 'Hazard'," Lincoln replied.
"Hmm, I think I can see where you were going with this. I like it," Absol replied, accepting the nickname.
"Glad you like it," Lincoln replied, turning to Dragonite, "And as for you, I was kind of torn between something like Tempest or Storm, but I think something a bit less traditional, given your Evolutionary Line."
"Ooh, now I'm really excited! What have you got for me?" Dragonite asked.
"I've decided on the name 'Tyson' for you," Lincoln replied.
"'Tyson'? An interesting name. But why that name?" Dragonite asked.
"Well, the origin of the name is a bit on the obscure side, but there was a cartoon series I would often watch either on TV or on the internet called 'Beyblade', and one of the protagonists of the very first, the absolute original series was named 'Tyson'. The show itself was about battling tops, and his top was a dragon based one," Lincoln explained.
"Not too sure what you mean by that, but I'll take your word for it," Dragonite replied. It was then that they saw a bolt of electricity shoot up from somewhere nearby.
"Whoa, what was that?!" Misty questioned.
"Looked like it was an attack from an Electric Type Pokemon," Brock deduced.
"I think we can handle a quick detour. What do you say we go check it out?" Lincoln suggested.
"Sounds good to me," Misty said, as they cleaned up, and recalled their Pokemon. They got on their bikes and pedaled off towards the source of the electric bolts. As they pedaled, they nearly collided with someone, causing them to screech to a stop to avoid crashing.
"Oh crap, we're sorry! We didn't think any one was… Wait, guys?!" Lincoln recognized the people in question as Carlota, Girl Jordan, Haiku, Stella, Liam, Goh, and Sid.
"Lincoln? Brock and Misty too? This certainly is a surprise!" Stella commented.
"I'll say it is. What brings you guys out here to Evolution Mountain?" Brock asked.
"We were sent out by the professor to check out a Mass Outbreak of Pikachu," Goh replied.
"Goh and Sid said they both really wanted to catch a Pikachu. And I have to admit, I kind of want to catch one too!" Girl Jordan explained.
"The Professor and his assistants said that it's not unusual for Pokemon like Pikachu to amass in large quantities on Evolution Mountain, but apparently, this Mass Outbreak is even larger than any previously recorded," Haiku added.
"Some documents I found in Canalave City in the Sinnoh Region said that a Mass Outbreak like this could easily be considered a 'Massive Mass Outbreak'," Sid added.
"Hmm, it could be that the Pikachu are all looking for Thunder Stones," Brock deduced.
"Either way, we're investigating the Outbreak," Sid replied.
"Well, we did see a big bolt of electricity shoot up from over that way. We were on our way to check it out when we ran into you guys," Lincoln replied, pointing in the direction of where they saw the bolts of electricity from earlier.
"Why don't we all go together? It should be interesting to see how the Pikachu mine up Thunder Stones," Goh suggested.
"Hmm, it would be an interesting learning experience, to say the least," Lincoln replied.
"Plus, seeing wild Pikachu using Thunder Stones to evolve would be interesting," Misty added.
"Looks like we're all in agreement," Brock replied, as they packed their bikes away, and made their way towards the source of the electricity. As soon as they did, true to what Goh and the others said, there was, in fact, a Mass Outbreak of Pikachu. They were either just running around and playing or using their tails to break apart the rocks around them.
"Whoa, so many Pikachu!" Stella exclaimed.
"Hey, look over there!" Carlota said, pointing to one Pikachu, that had just unearthed a Thunder Stone that was still embedded in rock. It took a hold of the stone, which caused it to immediately start evolving. It grew larger and chunkier, and its tail grew much longer with a more wire-like form. The light died off, revealing a newly evolved Raichu.
"Whoa, so that's how Pikachu evolve with the Thunder Stone!" Liam commented, as Goh took his Pokedex to scan both Pokemon.
"Pikachu and its evolved form, Raichu, the Mouse Pokemon, both are Electric Types first discovered in the Kanto Region. Pikachu lives in forests with others of its kind. It stores electricity in the electric sacs on its cheeks. When two Pikachu meet, they'll touch their tails together and exchange electricity as a form of greeting. Raichu turns aggressive if it stores too much electricity in its body. It discharges any excess electricity through its tail. It can let loose 100,000 volt-bursts of electricity, instantly downing foes several times its size," Goh's Pokedex explained.
"The Raichu around here are nothing like the Lieutenant's Raichu," Girl Jordan commented, remembering Lt. Surge's Raichu.
"You're right. Those Raichu aren't as prideful about being evolved since they're still wild," Brock replied. Carlota then noticed that some of the Pikachu had heart-shaped notches at the tips of their tails.
"Hey, some of those Pikachu have different tails than the others!" she stated.
"That's right. Male Pikachu, like Lincoln's, have flat tips on their tails, while the females have little notches," Sid replied.
"Yeah. Pikachu and Raichu are some of the many Pokemon who have some physical differences based on gender," Brock added. Some of the Pikachu noticed the group, and approached them curiously. Lincoln's Pikachu leapt down to act as a diplomat.
"Hello, my fellow Pikachu! You needn't be wary of my trainer and his friends. We mean you no harm of any kind!" he said, trying to, hopefully, keep the wild Pikachu from attacking. Some of the wild Pikachu surrounded him, and touched their tails to his. This prompted Pikachu to share electricity with the wild Pikachu, who also shared their electricity.
"Oh, just like the Pokedex said!" Girl Jordan commented, as the Pikachu went back to try mining for Thunder Stones. A group of four female Pikachu looked at the group, taking a keen interest in two of them, namely Lincoln and his Pikachu.
"Hey, that hunk of a Pikachu's kind of cute, wouldn't you say?" one of them asked.
"Maybe so, but so's that human trainer of his," another replied.
"I have to agree with you on that one," the third, more orangish yellow female Pikachu replied.
"You two can take that human all you want, but we're getting us some of that hunk of beefcake of a Pikachu!" the fourth Pikachu replied, as they went to make their way down to the group.
"Well, now that we've found the Pikachu, let's get to catching!" Goh said, readying a Pokeball, as did Sid. Girl Jordan readied a Pokeball of her own, but it was a blue one with yellow stripes all around it.
"Is that a Quick Ball, Jordan?" Misty asked.
"It is. I bought a bunch of them last time I went to Hoenn. I figured they'd come in handy as I continue exploring the other regions with the others," Girl Jordan replied.
"What are Quick Balls?" Lincoln asked.
"They're Pokeballs that are great at catching Pokemon the moment you encounter them," Brock replied.
"They're mostly used by trainers that don't want to risk scaring off a Wild Pokemon they want to catch," Misty added, as Goh, Sid, and Girl Jordan went to try and catch their own Pikachu.
"Alright, you're mine!" the three of them exclaimed, as they threw their Pokeballs at three different Pikachu, encapsulating each one. They rocked three times before snapping shut. Both Goh caught a female Pikachu, while Sid and Girl Jordan each caught male ones.
"Pikachu has been registered to your Pokedex," their Pokedexes said, as they retrieved their Pokeballs.
"Alright! We got our own Pikachu!" Goh cheered happily. The three of them let out their Pikachu.
"This is so exciting!" Girl Jordan commented, as she let her Pikachu climb up into her arms, "Hi there, cutie! I'm going to be your new trainer, starting today."
"Eh, why not?" her Pikachu replied nonchalantly.
"I'm guessing you guys aren't going to try and catch your own Pikachu too?" Lincoln asked the others who stayed behind with him and his companions.
"Eh, not at the moment. Maybe some other time," Liam replied. The others shared similar sentiments. Just then, the four girl Pikachu from before came up to Lincoln and his Pikachu.
"Hey there, hot stuff," the first female Pikachu said, as she and the fourth one scampered up to Pikachu, "My friend and I couldn't help but see that you're new around here."
"Uh, yeah, that's right. My trainer and I were heading to the town on the other side of the mountain to get closer to his next Gym Battle," Pikachu replied, as both Pikachu cuddled closer to him.
"Oh? That must mean you're a strong one then?" the fourth Pikachu asked, as she and the first Pikachu put on some serious flirting towards Lincoln's Pikachu.
"Well, I'd say I'm pretty strong. I even have my own unique Hybrid Move that works the same way as Volt Tackle. And by that, I mean it hurts like hell to use it," Pikachu replied.
"Oh? Sounds to me like you're really something special, alright. Any Pikachu would be so happy to have you be a father to their Eggs," the fourth Pikachu said.
"Even more so if you were use this Thunder Stone that we just dug up to evolve," the first Pikachu added, holding a Thunder Stone that was still embedded in some rock.
"Uh, as flattered as I am, I don't think I'm ready to be a father just yet. Plus, I've also decided on getting stronger as a Pikachu," Pikachu nervously replied. Meanwhile, the other two female Pikachu scampered up to Lincoln.
"Y'know, human, we, along with our friends over there, aren't against it if you want to catch us. We'd love to travel along side the two of you," the second Pikachu stated, trying to keep both hers and the third Pikachu's love interest in Lincoln hidden.
"Really? You four want me to catch you?" Lincoln asked, sounding surprised.
"That's right. As much as the four of us like living in the forest with the others, we really want to travel and see more of what Kanto and other regions have to offer," the third Pikachu replied.
"Oh, so some of you want to try Wonder Trading?" Lincoln asked.
"Depends. What's Wonder Trading?" the second Pikachu asked.
"It's where trainers like me trade Pokemon with someone randomly in another region and get a Pokemon in exchange," Lincoln explained.
"Oh, good heavens, no! We'd like to stay by yours and your Pikachu's side as much as possible!" the third Pikachu replied.
"Hmm, well, I would like to add some more Electric Type Pokemon to my team's reserves. What say you, Pikachu?" Lincoln asked Pikachu, who was still getting cuddled by the other two Pikachu.
"Something tells me these four won't give us much of a choice in the matter," he replied.
"Well, alright then. Welcome to the team you four," Lincoln said, as he dug out four empty Pokeballs, when…
"Hold it, twerp!"
"Aw jeez, these guys again?!" Lincoln groaned, recognizing the voice that called out to him.
"I just heard a twerpish voice!"
"Introductions are now, that's our choice!" just then, the familiar Meowth shaped balloon descended with some weird machine attached to their basket.
"Travelling the world, plundering it's rarest resources!"
"All to enhance our personal forces!"
"This duo shall not be stopped by the law!"
"We do what we want, while you stand by in awe!"
"Jessie, the fiery temptress of villainy!"
"Technical Master James, that is me!"
"We're an independent team of criminals, fighting for our rights!"
"Give up now, for you can never win any fights!"
"WE'RE THE X-ROCKETS, TRAVELLING ALL NIGHT AND DAY!"
"And with Meowth, the price you'll surely pay!"
"Man, that whole routine's staler than week old bread!" Liam commented.
"Say what you will, but we're here today to catch us some prime Pokemon! And first on the menu is Pikachu!" Jessie proclaimed, as James pressed a button on a remote, which activated the device attached to their basket. A long hose extended from it.
"Come on in, all your Pikachu! There's plenty of room for all!" he announced, as the vacuum machine began to suck in all the Pikachu and Raichu that were in sight, including Lincoln's own Pikachu, as well as both Sid and Girl Jordan's Pikachu as well, leaving only Goh's Pikachu, along with the third and fourth female Pikachu that were trying to convince both Lincoln and his Pikachu to let them join.
"NO, PIKACHU!" Lincoln, Sid, and Girl Jordan yelled out, as their Pikachu were all sucked into the vacuum hose.
"Well, that should be enough Pikachu for now. Let's cruise around and see about finding some more Pokemon on the mountain," James said, sending out his Weezing, "Weezing, use Smokescreen!" his Weezing began spreading Smokescreen, obscuring everyone's vision.
"Why those crooks! Quick Vespiquen, use Gust and blow all this smoke away!" Girl Jordan said, sending out an anthropomorphic bee Pokemon that looked like it was also a cross with a beehive. It flapped its wings, sending Gust to blow away all the smoke, only to reveal that the X-Rockets were gone.
"No! They got away!" Goh yelled.
"Don't worry. We can track them! Go, Tyson!" Lincoln said, sending out Tyson, "Tyson, look around for the X-Rocket's balloon!"
"Roger that!" Tyson replied, flying off to search the mountainside.
"Vespiquen, you take a look around too," Girl Jordan instructed.
"At once," Vespiquen replied, as she flew off.
"We should look around on foot ourselves," Brock suggested.
"Right!" Misty replied. Lincoln knelt to the other two female Pikachu.
"I know that I'm not your trainer just yet, but can we get your help to track down those crooks?" Lincoln asked of them.
"No problem," the third Pikachu replied, as they all began to track down the X-Rockets on foot.
Meanwhile, back at the Team Rocket camp outside of Royal Woods,
"Alright grunts, what've we got so far as intel on the brat's family's whereabouts and the members of said family?" Petrel asked.
"Sir! It took a bit longer to hack into the town records than we realized, but we managed to find all of the records on each member of the kid's family over the course of the past few months that he's been in Kanto," one of the grunts replied.
"Excellent! So, I know we're looking at his parents and ten sisters, from what the boss told me, but what about their names and their descriptions?" Petrel asked. Proton then set up a projector inside of the main tent.
"Right. First up is his father, Lynn Loud Sr. A former worker at an I.T. Office, turned restraunt worker. Word has it that he's great at cooking. But he's also a big time coward and doesn't even try to hide it. Recently, the Loud Family went on trial for some sort of incident involving a softball game and the superstition of 'bad luck', both of which revolved around two of his kids, one of them being that Lincoln kid. The other kid involved goes by the name 'Lynn Loud Jr.' We'll get to her in a little bit. Anyhow, after the trial, Lynn Sr. was permanently stripped of his parental rights and divorced from his wife. He's serving a sentence of five years in the local prison, as well as having a lifetime restraining order put on him, barring him having any contact with his ex-wife and kids," the grunt explained, displaying a picture of Lynn Sr.
"So, the guy's a crappy parent? Well, we'll still collect him. After all, we can't afford any chances that the kid has some respect for his old man. Continue," Petrel requested.
"Right. Next up is Rita Loud, the kid's mother. Well, actually, the records show that she's taken back her maiden name, 'Reynolds' following the divorce. She's an editor for the local newspaper, as well as an independent book author. She was also in on that incident involving bad luck, but was given a much lesser sentence for actually taking her job as a mother seriously," the grunt the displayed a picture of Rita on the screen.
"Damn, she's got hips for days, and thighs that can crush rock! Who else have we got?" Petrel asked.
"Next is the first-born daughter/sister of the kid's family, Lori. She's a student at the local high school. She's been shown to be extremely tightfisted and can sometimes come off as harsh. Following the trial, both she and that Lynn Jr. kid I mentioned before were sentenced to… *gulp* Fountain Heights Psychiatric Sanitorium!" the grunt explained, as thunder and lightning crashed at the mention of the hospital's name.
"Whoa, really? I thought that Lynn Jr. kid would've been the only one to get that harsh of a sentence?" Petrel asked.
"Well, after the guilty verdict was handed down, both sisters attempted to attack their brother, who was somehow in the courtroom at the time, as well as some officers who came in to restrain them. We can interrogate them once we catch them. Anyhow, next up is Leni Loud, the second oldest daughter/sister. She's well known throughout the town as a true fashionista. She participates in many fashion shows, showing off her latest creations to the public. However, the records say that she's also somewhere in the Kanto Region too, acting as a chaperone for some of the kid's friends."
"Hmm, we'll have to inform the boss about this little tidbit of information," Petrel mused.
"I already forwarded the information to him, sir! The third child of the family is Luna Loud. Put simply, she put's the 'loud' in her family's name… or rather their former family name. She's the lead guitarist in her own rock band called the 'Moon Goats'. The fourth child is Luan Loud," the grunt was cut off when Alexander slammed his fist down on the table, leaving a small crater, causing all the other grunts to flinch.
"I can tell you about Luan. She's a well-known prankster throughout the city. But her pranks often go WAY too far, and can often times ruin people's lives, just like one of her pranks ruined mine! Many can even call her a psychotic, and criminally insane sociopath since she NEVER THINKS ABOUT THE CONSQUENCES OF HER ACTIONS!" Alexander growled.
"Hmm, I'm sensing quite a bit of hostility, Alexander. However, the boss wants us to capture all of the kid's family alive. So, if you have some deep seated grudge you want to enact on Luan, it'll have to take a backseat for the time being," Petrel replied. Alexander growled, and crossed his arms, leaning back in his chair.
"Ahem, right! Anyhow, moving right along, next we have Lynn Jr., who's the main reason for the kid getting sent to Kanto in the first place. She used to be one of the best athletes in all of Royal Woods, but that all changed when she got a little too overzealous with her superstitions, and then she became known as the 'luckiest athletes' in town. According to our research, she had threatened her brother with a bat to get him to go to one of her softball games, only to turn right around and label him as bad luck, which spiraled out of control, eventually leading to the family kicking out Lincoln and refusing to let him back in the house."
"I always knew athletes were terrible people, but this kid sounds like the poster child of bad athletes everywhere!" Petrel commented.
"Quite right It's also worth noting that Lynn Jr. also had a lengthy criminal record already, so, you know. Next is the first of the kid's younger sisters, Lucy Loud. She's an eight-year-old goth, and a member of the local Morticians Club. She's also known for being an aspiring poet. Next up is not one, but two sisters; the twins, Lana and Lola Loud. They're complete opposites from what our research said. Lana is the older of the two by a few seconds. She's a mechanical prodigy, able to work with just about any sort of machinery, be it cars or the like. Lola, on the other hand, is a self-proclaimed princess, and a beauty pageant powerhouse. She's known for being a little terror, both by her family and her fellow pageant contestants. She enjoys gossiping about any secrets she hears about, to the point of even blackmailing others to do her bidding. Her reputation was so bad, that even most adults feared her."
"Damn, don't their parents ever do anything to reign in their kids?" Petrel questioned.
"Obviously not. We've only got two more sisters to get through before I go over the rest of the kid's family, so I'll run through them quickly. Next up is Lisa Loud, a true child prodigy. She has a PH. D, and an almost immeasurable IQ level. She conducts tons of experiments in her house, some of them involving chemicals, others being more machine oriented. And the last of the Louds is the baby of the family, Lily Loud. Not much is known about her, other than that she has a record of winning thumb sucking contests."
"Well, the kid certainly has a wide array of siblings. What of his other family members living in town?" Petrel asked.
"Yes sir! Other members of his family include his maternal grandfather, Albert Reynolds, who lives at the Sunset Canyon Retirement Home, his paternal grandfather, Leonard Loud, who's current living conditions are unclear as of yet. He also has a maternal great aunt, by the name of Ruth. And most recently moved to town, his paternal uncle, Lance Loud, and his wife, Sharon, and their three kids, Shane, Shelby, and Shiloh, who are also acting as a host family to a seraph and a dragon, names Emily Oriel and Mr. D-Ragon. Information about them is currently unclear."
"Hmm, so, how are we going to go about capturing them for the boss' plan?" Proton questioned.
"Well, we should have squads of at least four people spying on each member of the family, monitoring their every move. But remember, we can't make a move until the boss gives us the ok to do so," Petrel replied.
"Hrmph! I would've liked to have kidnapped Luan and put her through a similar hell as she put me through, but I suppose it would be smarter to wait," Alexander grumbled.
"All in due time, Alexander. But I promise, you can be on the squad that captures Luan," Petrel replied.
"Heh, works for me," Alexander smirked.
"By the way, Petrel, once the operation gets underway to capture the kid's family, are we going to capture them all in one go, or are we going to capture a few of them at a time?" one of the other grunts asked. Petrel mulled this question over.
"Hmm, it would be quicker to capture them all in one move, but capturing them a few at a time would cause them to grow more worried, and let them out in the open. Eh, we'll figure it out when we get to that point. For now, let's get some shut eye. We have a busy few weeks ahead of us, starting tomorrow," Petrel replied, as they all dispersed.
Back with Lincoln and Friends,
The group continued looking around for the X-Rockets, with no luck, "Damn, those guys are never around when you want to find them," Lincoln grumbled.
"Well, based on what they said, they must still be on the mountain. No doubt they want to try to steal as many Pokemon as they possibly can," Misty replied, as they kept looking.
"Are you hearing anything?" Lincoln asked the two wild Pikachu that were accompanying them, who were twitching their ears around.
"Nothing so far," the second Pikachu replied.
"Nor on my end, but… wait a minute! I think I hear some kind of buzzing," the fourth Pikachu said, as Girl Jordan's Vespiquen landed before them.
"Vespiquen! Did you spot anything?" Girl Jordan asked.
"Apologies, m'lady. The targets were rather elusive, and I could not spot them," Vespiquen replied.
"Oh, well, thanks anyway. Go ahead and get some rest," Girl Jordan said, recalling Vespiquen. It was right at that moment that Tyson came back.
"Lincoln, I found them! They're in a clearing over that way! They're trying to steal some Growlithe!" Tyson informed.
"Great work, Tyson! Lead us there!" Lincoln instructed, turning to his friends, "Tyson's found them!"
"Great!" Girl Jordan said, as they followed Tyson. It didn't take long for them to reach where the X-Rockets were now attempting to steal a bunch of wild Growlithe, and some Pokemon that looked like larger forms of Growlithe, but with bushier manes.
"There're those creeps! And who's that other Pokemon they're stealing?" Lincoln questioned, as he scanned the new Pokemon.
"Arcanine, the Legendary Pokemon, a Fire Type first discovered in the Kanto Region. Arcanine is the evolved form of Growlithe. The sight of it running over 6,200 miles per hour in a single day and night has captivated many people. It runs agilely as if on wings," Dexter explained.
"6,200 miles per hour?!" Stella quietly exclaimed.
"Hoo, doggy! That's some kind of fast!" Liam commented.
"Well, we have to free them along with all the Pikachu they stole! C'mon guys!" Lincoln said, as they went to confront the X-Rockets, "Hey, you crooks!"
"Damn it all, it's the twerp and his friends!" Jessie cursed.
"No worries. I had planned for such an event! Our Pikachu contentment cell also doubles as a handy weapon!" James said, pressing another button, which activated some sort of odd-looking ray gun on the cage holding all the Pikachu, "Presenting the Pika Thunder Power Harvester Ray! By absorbing the Electric Type power from all these Pikachu and Raichu, we can fire off high powered bolts of electricity! Observe!" James said, as he pressed another button, which caused all of the captive Pikachu and Raichu to unwillingly fire off bolts of electricity, which were absorbed into some sort of power pylon, that seemed to be powering up the ray gun, "And fire!" He then pressed another button that fired off a powerful blast of electricity. Everyone ducked out of the way, as the ray gun reduced the large boulder they were standing behind to dust.
"Why those sneaky little…!" Lincoln cut himself off when he saw the position he was in. He was laying on the ground on his back, while Carlota was standing over him, giving him a full view of her huge, fat ass, barely covered by a pair of silky, cyan panties. He quickly averted his gaze, as Carlota noticed him.
"Oh jeez, Lincoln! I'm so sorry about that! Are you hurt?" she asked, trying to shake off the embarrassment of having her panties seen by the boy.
"I've had worse scrapes than that. But we've got to free all the Pikachu and Raichu first! And I've got just the Pokemon for the job!" Lincoln replied, also trying to shake off the embarrassment from looking up Carlota's skirt.
"We'll do what we can to try and free the others! You ladies ready?" Goh's Pikachu asked the other two female Pikachu.
"Whenever you are!" the other two Pikachu replied, as they fired off their own Thunderbolts, which got redirected into some power pylons on the outside of the machine.
"HAHAHAHAHA! Did you really think we didn't notice those straggling Pikachu we didn't suck up from before?! We had outer pylons built in for just such an event!" James boasted.
"And since we just hate the thought of leaving others out, we'll take those three as well!" Meowth added, as James activated the Pikachu suction device, which caused the other three Pikachu to get sucked up.
"Oh no you don't! Pikachu, heads up!" Goh said, as he threw a Thunder Stone at his Pikachu.
"Here's some for you two as well!" Lincoln called out, chucking a pair of Thunder Stones at the other two Pikachu. All three of them managed to catch the Thunder Stones, just as they entered the tube. Halfway through, a familiar bright glow erupted from inside.
"Oh, that's not good!" Meowth commented, as the hose burst open, as three Raichu landed safely on the ground.
"Raichu has been registered to your Pokedex," Goh's Pokedex stated, as all three Raichu raced back over to the others.
"Nice work out there you three. We can handle things from here. Go, Konoryu!" Lincoln said, sending out Konoryu, "Alright, we need to get this finished right away! Ready, Konoryu?"
"Whenever you are, boss!" Konoryu replied, as Lincoln tapped his Key Stone.
"We're tapping to the raw power of the forest with this one! Now Konoryu, MEGA EVOLVE!" Lincoln called out, as his Key Stone reacted with Konoryu's Sceptilite, enveloping it in the pink sphere. When the sphere broke apart, Konoryu's head crests became more pointed with a round portion missing from the middle. Red markings now surrounded its eyes, which became smaller and narrower. The yellow seeds down its back grew larger. The last pair of seeds turned red, while the pair above it turned orange. Red stripes encircled the base of its tail and ran across its lower belly. The leaves on its wrists became more pointed, and the upper ones had red tips and half-circles cut out of the middles. Covering its chest and shoulders were plates of leaves similar to those that form its tail. Lastly, Konryu's tail grew longer and developed a red stinger at the tip.
"Whoa, that's Mega Sceptile?" Stella questioned.
"Wicked," Haiku added.
"Go ahead and Mega Evolve all you want! One blast from our Ray Gun will short out your Sceptile!" James said, as he activated the ray gun device again, draining more power from the Pikachu.
"HURRY, LINCOLN! THIS IS REALLY NOT A PLEASANT FEELING FOR ANY OF US!" Lincoln's Pikachu called out.
"And FIRE!" James said, blasting Konoryu with the electrical blast, "YES! Direct hit!" he cheered. However, his feeling of pride was short lived, as Konoryu was revealed to not only be fine, but it didn't have so much as a scratch on its body, "WHAT?! But how?!"
"Simple. When a Sceptile like Konoryu Mega Evolves, it's ability changes to Lightning Rod, which nullifies ALL Electric Type attacks!" Lincoln replied.
"Oh, I get it! Since they're using power from the Pikachu and Raichu, they're technically using an Electric Type Attack against Konoryu!" Goh exclaimed.
"Oh hell, this doesn't look good!" Meowth whimpered.
"No, it doesn't… for you at least! Konoryu, use Leaf Blade on those cages!" Lincoln called out. Konoryu leapt up and slashed each cage like butter, thus freeing all the captive Pokemon.
"This won't stand, brat!" Jessie yelled, readying one of her Pokeballs, as did James.
"We got this one, Lincoln!" Lincoln's Pikachu said, as he and several other Pikachu stood in a single file line, "Now we strike, now we fight! Now we strike, now we fight!" he chanted, which got all the other Pikachu chanting along with him.
"NOW WE STRIKE, NOW WE FIGHT! NOW WE STRIKE, NOW WE FIGHT!" all of the other wild Pikachu chanted, as they stacked on top of one another, sort of like a totem pole.
"What are the Pikachu doing?" Girl Jordan wondered.
"My guess, they're stacking on top of one another to deliver on powerful electric attack against the X-Rockets," Brock replied. And his theory was soon proven true, as once the tower of Pikachu was tall enough, they all fired off one gargantuan bolt of electricity, destroying the X-Rocket's machine, causing a massive explosion that sent them flying.
"THE X-ROCKETS ARE BLASTING OFF AGAIN!" they yelled, as they disappeared into the sky.
"Well, good riddance to bad rubbish," Stella commented.
"Hopefully they'll take the hint," Lincoln commented, as Konoryu went back to normal. Lincoln was then reunited with his own Pikachu, "Hey there, buddy. Sorry it took a bit to find you guys."
"We're all just glad to be free from that thing!" Lincoln's Pikachu replied. Lincoln was then approached by the other two female Pikachu from before, along with the two, newly evolved Raichu.
"We're all grateful for you freeing us from those creeps," the third Pikachu stated.
"Yeah, and now we really want to join you now!" the second Raichu added.
"Well alright then. Welcome aboard you four," Lincoln said, as he tossed four Pokeballs at each of them, encapsulating them. Each ball rocked once, twice, three times before they all snapped shut.
"Raichu has been registered to your Pokedex," Dexter stated.
"Alright! At least this way, I can send over a Pikachu for Lisa to study," Lincoln said.
"Notice: One of the Pikachu you've just captured is holding a Light Ball. Would you like to remove it?" Dexter asked.
"A Light Ball? What's that?" Lincoln asked.
"It an Item that's normally held by Pikachu, or one of its other evolutionary stages, Pichu and Raichu. It increases the Special Attack Power of the holder," Brock replied.
"And remember what Bill said back on Mount Moon? If you were to breed for a Pichu while one of its parents is holding a Light Ball, it'll know the move Volt Tackle," Misty added.
"Huh, imagine that. But, no, I think I'll leave it be," Lincoln said, as his four Pokeballs warped away.
"Well, we've got what we've come for, so we should probably head on back to the lab. What about you guys? Where are you off to now?" Goh asked Lincoln's group.
"Sunny Town. There's going to be a Coolness Division Pokemon Contest there happening the day after tomorrow, that I plan on entering. After that, it's straight to Fuchsia City," Lincoln replied.
"Well, we've got some time before we got to go back. Why don't we come with you guys and check out Sunny Town for ourselves? After all, Lincoln can always warp us back with that amulet he got from that demon lady," Liam suggested.
"Y'know, that sounds like a great idea, Liam! We could do some window shopping and try some of the local cuisine! I've read about this restraunt that has some of the best seafood in the entire Kanto Region!" Sid replied.
"Yeah, plus, the four of us can go on a date with Lincoln!" Carlota added, motioning to Stella, Haiku, and Girl Jordan.
"O-oh, right… you four were declared as compatible with me back at Maiden's Peak," Lincoln stammered.
"W-Well, we're not entirely opposed to it," Stella replied, equally as embarrassed.
"We'd be more than happy to go out with you," Girl Jordan added shyly.
"Well, I guess there's no helping it. You guys don't mind if we all come with you guys to Sunny Town, do you?" Goh asked.
"Sure, we don't mind," Lincoln replied. Sid then pulled up a map on her Rotom Phone.
"Alright, lets see, there should an entrance to the tunnel that'll take us straight to Sunny Town not too far from here. And if we take that entrance, it'll cut down the time we'll need to get there by quite a bit," she said.
"Well, in that case, let's get a move on," Lincoln said, as they began navigating the mountainside for the entrance back into the tunnel.
