Kanto Gets Loud
Chapter 93 MILF Safari Part 2
A little later, in a wide-open field,
Lincoln and the mothers were all watching from the bushes as they saw a herd of large, brown bull Pokemon with three tails were all duking it out, crashing headfirst into each other, "My, how forceful!" Elanor commented.
"What are those Pokemon, anyhow?" Kiken asked. Lincoln took a moment to scan them.
"Tauros, the Wild Bull Pokemon, a Normal Type first discovered in the Kanto Region. When a Tauros starts whipping itself with its three tails, it's a warning to others that it's about to start charging with incredible speed. They're often seen stampeding in herds. The Tauros with the longest, thickest and most scarred horns are the leader of that herd," Dexter explained. Stella then scanned each of the Tauros that were battling, and saw one with horns that were longer, thicker, and had more scars on them than the rest of the herd.
"I think that one there might be the leader," she said. Lincoln once again pointed his Pokedex at the Tauros.
"This Male Tauros is Level 48, and knows the moves Take Down, Work Up, Zen Headbutt, Payback, Horn Attack, Assurance, Scary Face, Swagger, Wild Charge, Megahorn, and Iron Head," Dexter explained.
"Alright, that one's got a nice line up of moves. That'll be the one I catch," Lincoln said, as he hurled a Safari Ball at the lead Tauros, sucking it into the ball. It rocked once, twice, thrice before snapping shut.
"Tauros has been registered to your Pokedex."
"Alright! My first catch in the Safari Zone!" Lincoln exclaimed, as the Safari Ball containing his newly caught Tauros warped away.
"Whoa, where did it go?" Gilda asked.
"Not to worry, Mrs. Von Throne. Tauros got sent to storage. See, trainers like me can only carry six Pokemon at a time. Any more than that, and they get sent over to the Professor's Lab for safekeeping," Lincoln explained.
"Oh, is that how that works?" Rasha asked.
"Yeah. Pokemon League rules," Lincoln replied, as they continued looking around. They soon saw a Rhyhorn grazing nearby.
"Alright, a Rhyhorn! Haven't seen one of those since Pewter City!" Lincoln said, as he scanned it.
"Rhyhorn, the Spikes Pokemon, a Ground and Rock Type first discovered in the Kanto Region. Once it starts running, it can't stop – even when it crashes through large boulders. This disposition is what caused its habitat to expand. The female Rhyhorn is Level 35, and knows the moves Tackle, Take Down, Rock Blast, Bulldoze, Horn Attack, Scary Face, and Drill Run," Dexter explained.
"Must not be too bright if it just crashes through boulders," Jellisa commented.
"Maybe so, but Rhyhorn are a sturdy Pokemon, from what I've seen it do in battle. I'll try and catch this one too," Lincoln said, as he tossed another Safari Ball, only for the same stampede of Tauros to come barreling through, causing Lincoln to catch another Tauros, "Or I'll catch another Tauros," he commented feebly.
"You might still have a chance to catch Rhyhorn if you're quick enough," Sephie urged, as Rhyhorn was still there.
"Ah, right!" Lincoln said, as he tossed another Safari Ball, this time connecting with Rhyhorn. It rocked once, twice, but Rhyhorn broke free, leading it to escape, "Dang it. Oh well, I still have plenty of Safari Balls," Lincoln commented, as they continued to look around. Next, they were in a rocky area.
"Doesn't look like much out here," Carmilla commented.
"Definitely not… Wait," Lilliana said, focusing on a rough looking rock, "It looks like there's some sort of living thing inside of this rock."
"Really? Well, lets just have a look then," Lincoln said, pulling out his Multi-Tool, and using it to break apart that rock. From it came an odd looking red rock with several openings around it, "Hmm, doesn't look like it was there. Are you certain it was in this rock?"
"Yes. In fact, it's inside of that rock," Lilliana replied, pointing to the red rock, just as what looked like yellow tentacles oozed out of it. One of those tentacles even had a face.
"Whoa, who's that Pokemon?" Lincoln wondered, pointing his Pokedex at the Pokemon.
"Shuckle, the Mold Pokemon, a Bug and Rock Type first discovered in the Johto Region. It stores berries inside of its shell, which eventually mix with its own bodily fluids to become delicious juices. To avoid being attacks, it hides under rocks and remains perfectly still. This Male Shuckle is Level 29, and knows the moves Rest, Wrap, Withdraw, Rock Throw, Rollout, Struggle Bug, Safeguard, and the Egg Moves Sweet Scent and Defense Curl," Dexter explained.
"I think it's kind of cute," Elanor commented, only for Shuckle to withdraw back into its shell.
"Must be shy," Kiken commented.
"Well, I'm sure my sisters will think its cute. I think I'll catch this one too," Lincoln said, tossing a Safari Ball at it. The ball rocked once, twice, three times before snapping shut.
"Shuckle has been registered to your Pokedex."
"Sweet!" Lincoln exclaimed, only for the same Tauros stampede to come barreling through again, causing Lincoln, along with Sephie, Stella, and Kiken to lose their balance, and come tumbling down the cliff, with Kiken unintentionally dragging Carmilla down too, trying to use her to get her balance back. Several of Lincoln's Safari Balls fell onto the Tauros stampede, catching more Tauros for Lincoln.
"Are you all alright?" Lilliana asked, as she and the others came down to help them.
"Well, nothing's broken. That's a plus," Lincoln replied.
"Agreed," Stella replied, as she was helped up by the others.
"I would've greatly appreciated not being dragged down with you, Kiken," Carmilla grumbled.
"Sorry, it's a natural reflex," Kiken replied. Lincoln then noticed his Safari Ball bucket, and frowned slightly, seeing that there were only seven Safari Balls left.
"Looks like that stampede used up most of your Safari Balls. What are you going to do now?" Jellisa asked.
"Well, since I have some left, I'm going to try to catch whatever Pokemon I can," Lincoln replied.
"Like that one?" Elanor asked, as she pointed towards a purple moth Pokemon fluttering by. Carmilla immediately took a liking to it.
"Maybe. Just what Pokemon is that?" Lincoln asked, scanning it.
"Venomoth, the Poison Moth Pokemon, a Poison and Bug Type first discovered in Kanto, and the evolved form of Venonat. It flutters its wings to scatter dust like scales. The scales leach toxins if they contact skin. This Male Venomoth is Level 34, and knows the moves Gust, Stun Spore, Sleep Powder, Poison Powder, Struggle Bug, Psybeam, Disable, Whirlwind and Confusion," Dexter explained.
"Ok, got to watch out for those scales. Let's try and catch it!" Lincoln said, getting his Safari Ball ready as Venomoth took notice.
"Ugh, not more of your humans! I ain't joining any teams, so don't try!" Venomoth said, as it used Whirlwind to blow Lincoln and the mothers away. Lincoln was slammed right into Elanor, Carmilla, Stella and Sephie, just as Venomoth fluttered away.
"Got away," Gilda commented, as she and the others turned, and snorted upon seeing the position Lincoln was in with the four mothers. He was sandwiched between Elanor and Spehie's extra-large breasts, while both of his hands were on Stella and Carmilla's huge, meaty asses. All four of them moaned slightly from the feeling.
"Oh god, I am so sorry!" Lincoln exclaimed, quickly pulling away, somehow, unintentionally pulling down both Stella and Carmilla's shorts, revealing their panties. Stella wore a brilliant blue pair of satin panties, while Carmilla wore a red thong. Either way, both pairs of panties made their butts look even bigger, "Oh, now I'm REALLY SORRY!"
"Oh it's alright, sweetie. I don't mind at all," Elanor commented dismissively.
"We understand it was merely a result of getting blown into us," Carmilla added, as she and Stella slipped their shorts back up over their rears.
"Though you should save that sort of rough play for when you get with our daughters," Lilliana teased.
"Ok, moving on!" Lincoln yelled, clearly embarrassed, as they moved on to the next area. Something swooped past Gilda, causing her to fall back into Rasha's arms.
"You ok?" Rasha asked.
"Yeah, I am. But what was that?" Gilda asked. She got her answer in the form of a pink, winged scorpion like Pokemon, which was hanging from a tree branch by its tail. Lincoln scanned it.
"Gligar, the Flyscorpion Pokemon, a Ground and Flying Type first discovered in the Johto Region. It glides through the air as if it were flying. It startles foes by clamping onto their faces, and then jabbing them with it's poisonous stinger. This male Gligar is Level 32, and knows the moves Poison Sting, Sand Attack, Acrobatics, Harden, Knock Off, Quick Attack, Fury Cutter, Poison Tail, Slash, and the Egg Move Cross Poison," Dexter explained, as Gligar began to swoop down at them again.
"Look out!" Lincoln called out, as everyone ducked out of the way.
"Certainly not a friendly sort, is it?" Lilliana questioned sarcastically, just as Gligar swooped back down at them.
"Oh no you don't!" Lincoln said, throwing a Safari Ball at Gligar, sucking it in. The Safari Ball rocked once, twice, three times before snapping shut.
"Gligar has been registered to your Pokedex."
"Well, that's one less thing to worry about," Lincoln commented.
"Hey, look over there!" Jellisa quietly called, looking over at a nearby fruit tree, where a mostly beige, sauropod Pokemon with a green back, leaf like wings, and what appeared to be bananas growing from under its chin, was eating some fruit from the tree.
"Whoa, that Pokemon looks way cool!" Lincoln exclaimed in awe.
"But what is it?" Rasha wondered, as Lincoln scanned it.
"Tropius, the Fruit Pokemon, a Grass and Flying Type first discovered in the Hoenn Region. Because it continually ate its favorite fruit, the fruit started growing around its neck. The female Tropius is level 42, and knows the moves Gust, Razor Leaf, Whirlwind, Magical Leaf, Leaf Storm, Dragon Dance, Stomp, Air Slash, Leaf Tornado, Body Slam, and the Egg Moves Leech Seed and Synthesis," Dexter explained.
"A Pokemon that grows fruit on its body? That's something I didn't expect to hear," Lincoln commented.
"It's worth noting that some species of Grass Type Pokemon are able to grow nuts and berries on their bodies," Dexter added.
"Well, do you plan to catch this one as well?" Lilliana asked.
"Yeah. Lisa will love to study the fruit that grows on Tropius' neck," Lincoln replied, as he began to cautiously approach Tropius, making sure not to alert the Fruit Pokemon to his presence. Thankfully, Tropius was too preoccupied with eating fruit to notice him, "And now, for the catch!" he quietly said, as he threw the Safari Ball at Tropius, encapsulating it. The Safari Ball rocked once, twice, three times, only for Tropius to break free. It was fully aware of Lincoln's presence now. But rather than attack or run away, it was eying Lincoln.
"It looks like it might be sizing up Lincoln. What's going to happen next, I wonder?" Sephie wondered, as Lincoln threw another Safari Ball at Tropius. The ball rocked three times again, but this time, it snapped shut.
"Tropius has been registered to your Pokedex."
"Phew, that was close one," Lincoln commented, as he checked his supply of Safari Balls, and saw he was down to only four Safari Balls, "Only four more left. Got make them count." Just then, Pikachu's ears twitched, as if hearing something.
"Lincoln, something's not right here!" he warned.
"Hmm? What do you mean, Pikachu?" Lincoln asked, as Pikachu dashed off, "Hey Pikachu!" he called out, giving chase. The mothers also gave chase.
"Lincoln, what's wrong?" Lilliana asked.
"I don't know! Pikachu said something's not right, and just ran off!" Lincoln replied.
"Could it have heard something?" Rasha wondered.
"We'll know in just a moment!" Lincoln replied, as they arrived at a clearing. There, they saw what appeared to be a small, light purple Pokemon that almost resembled a kangaroo joey. It was covered in scratches and wounds, and was crying.
"Oh, my word! What happened to this one?!" Sephie exclaimed, as she knelt to the small Pokemon.
"Let's see what it is," Lincoln suggested, as he scanned it.
"Kangaskhan, the Parent Pokemon, a Normal Type first discovered in the Kanto Region. It raises its offspring in its belly pouch. It lets its little one out to play only if it feels safe. Unable to provide any further information without the parent Kangaskhan," Dexter explained, displaying an image of a largely built, brown kangaroo like Pokemon.
"Huh, this one is just a baby Kangaskhan. But where could its mother be?" Lincoln wondered, looking around.
"I don't know, but we should be ready to run away at a moment's notice. Kangaskhan are extremely protective of their babies, and are never too far away from them," Pikachu warned.
"What's Pikachu saying, Lincoln?" Elanor asked.
"It's saying that we need to be ready to run away at a moment's notice. Apparently, parent Kangaskhan are very protective of their babies, and are never far away from them," Lincoln replied.
"But if that's true, where could it's mother be?" Gilda wondered, not seeing any other Pokemon around.
"Maybe the little one knows? Pikachu, can you try and coax it into telling us what's wrong?" Lincoln asked.
"Say no more, Lincoln," Pikachu said, as he cautiously approached the baby Kangaskhan, "Hey there, little one, what are you doing out here all alone? Where's your mother?"
Plucking up some courage, and taking a moment to calm down, the baby Kangaskhan spoke, "M-M-Mommy was captured by some bad humans. They threw her and several others into a cage. She managed to hide me away, but not b-b-before those bad humans had their Pokemon attack me."
Needless to say, both Pikachu and Lincoln were shocked upon hearing this, "Well, what's wrong with it?" Stella asked.
"Apparently, some poachers came and captured all of the Kangaskhan here. This one's mother managed to hide her baby before getting captured," Lincoln replied.
"How horrible! Can humans truly be that heartless?" Kiken questioned, just as they heard tires screeching, and a jeep, pulling a cage full of Kangaskhan and other Pokemon pulled up. Inside the jeep were two individuals.
"Well, I was wondering where that missing Kangaskhan baby went to! Kangaskhan are virtually worthless if they don't have a baby with them!" one of the poachers said, climbing out of jeep. Upon seeing the big red R on his uniform, it confirmed one thing for Lincoln.
"I get it! So the poachers we were warned about was Team Rocket all along!" he exclaimed.
"Oh, you're that white haired brat that's been causing trouble for our organization! Lucky for you, my squad and I have a prior engagement, so I'll give you a sweet deal. Hand over the baby Kangaskhan, and we'll leave you and these monster women alone," the Rocket grunt demanded.
"Fat chance of that happening!" Lincoln yelled back, just as another jeep pulled up with two more Rocket grunts, "Lilliana, you and the others take the baby Kangaskhan and make a run for it!"
"But what about you?" Lilliana asked.
"I need to keep these guys from getting their hands on the baby," Lincoln replied, handing her a pink potion, "Use that Hyper Potion on the baby, and it'll heal up."
"Well, alright," Lilliana replied, sounding unsure. Sephie scooped up the baby, and they all began to run away, only for a wall of rocks to stop them. They turned to see the Rocket grunts with a pair of Rhydon.
"You're not going anywhere! Now hand over the baby, or things WILL get ugly!" the lead grunt demanded.
"How about 'no'?" Lincoln asked, sending out his team, which consisted of his new Alolan Grimer, Metang, Cranidos, Tyrunt and Queeny.
"Figures you'd take the hard way out. No matter. We'll just take all of your Pokemon too! Ready the capture devices!" the lead grunt ordered, as long, mechanical arms emerged from the trailers they were in.
"Metang, quick, use Psychic and tie up those arms!" Lincoln called out. Metang began using Psychic, only to get blindsided by a Flamethrower from a Magmar another Rocket grunt sent out, "Oh, playing it that way, then? Tyrunt, Cranidos, double Rock Slide!" Both of his fossil Pokemon used Rock Slide, slamming the large boulders into the Rhydon and Magmar. Some of the boulders even hit the jeeps.
"Oof! So that's how you want to play it? Rhydon, use Hammer Arm on those two runts!" BOTH Rhydon swung their arms down onto both Cranidos and Tyrunt, nearly knocking them both out, "Magmar, use Lava Plume! Take out the Tsareena and Metang!" Magmar then let off a large explosion that expanded across then entire battlefield, striking both Rhydon, Tyrunt and Cranidos, and it would've hit Pikachu, Grimer, Metang and Tsareena too, if they hadn't gotten out of the way in time.
"Come out Koffing! Use Smog and spread it all around!" one of the other grunts yelled, sending out a trio of Koffing, who all began spraying smog, obscuring Lincoln's vision, as well as the vision of his Pokemon, apart from Metang.
"Lincoln, we'll help out too," Lilliana said, as she began to inhale the Smog, clearing the smoke cloud away quicker than it was spread.
"Is it really alright for her to inhale all that Smog?" Lincoln asked, sounding worried about Lilliana's health.
"You don't have to worry, Lincoln. Lilliana has Poison Immunity, so stuff like smoke or smog doesn't affect her," Rasha replied.
"Grr, send the capture nets around the brat's Pokemon! And get another arm to capture the baby!" the lead Grunt barked. Nets were shot out, capturing Pikachu, Metang and Queeny in one, while Grimer, Cranidos and Tyrunt were captured in the other. Another mechanical arm was deployed, snatching the baby Kangaskhan from Sephie's grasp.
"Oh no!" she exclaimed, as the baby was thrown into a cage.
"This is bad! We have to do something, otherwise, they'll get away with all those Pokemon!" Lincoln exclaimed. Hearing their trainers determination to stop Team Rocket revitalized Metang, Tyrunt and Cranidos, as bright lights erupted from each of them, "Whoa, they're evolving!"
"Uh oh, this could be bad!" a third grunt commented. And he was right, as the three of them grew large enough to break out of the nets. Metang grew an extra set of legs, and its spike shrunk down, and formed into an "X" across it's face. Cranidos grew taller, and its grey and blue body turned a darker shade of each. Meanwhile, Tyrunt evolved into a Tyrantrum.
"Metagross, Rampardos, and Tyrantrum have been registered to your Pokedex.
Metagross, the Iron Leg Pokemon, a Steel and Psychic Type first discovered in the Hoenn Region. It has four brains, giving it supercomputer level intelligence. It folds in its four legs when flying.
Rampardos, the Head Butt Pokemon, a Rock Type first discovered in the Sinnoh Region. Its powerful headbutt is strong enough to shatter even the most durable things upon impact. Its skull is as hard as iron.
Tyrantrum, the Despot Pokemon, a Rock and Dragon Type first discovered in the Kalos Region. A single bite from Tyrantrum's powerful jaws will demolish a car. This Pokemon was the king of an ancient world," Dexter explained.
"Alright! Now we've got some more firepower on our side!" Lincoln exclaimed.
"Quick, Magmar, use Lava Plume!" the lead grunt ordered.
"Don't think so! Tyrantrum, use Ancient Power!" Lincoln called out. Tyrantrum summoned rocks embedded with fossils, and hurled them at Magmar, knocking it out instantly, "Alright Rampardos, Metagross, smash open those cages with Zen Headbutt and Psychic!" Rampardos used Zen Headbutt, obliterating the first cage with ease, while Metagross bent and warped the other cage, allowing the captive Pokemon to escape, "Give up! It's over!" Lincoln called out.
"Never! We captured the Pokemon once, we can do it again!" the lead grunt yelled, when…
"Haunter, use Hypnosis!" some Haunter appeared before the grunts and their Pokemon, and proceeded to use Hypnosis, which was able to put them all to sleep. Lincoln and the mothers then noticed another jeep, commandeered by Yurei and some of her Gym Trainers, driving towards them, "Well, looks like we were just in time to only capture Team Rocket. Good to see that you've freed the Pokemon they've captured," she commended.
"I was just trying to pitch in where it counted," Lincoln replied, as several more jeeps, driven by the Fuchsia City Police arrived, and took the Team Rocket grunts into custody, while also breaking their Pokeballs, thus freeing their Pokemon.
"Thank you for all you've done to help our fair city, Yurei," Officer Jenny saluted, before driving off.
"Excuse me?" one of the Kangaskhan said, approaching Lincoln and them, "Are you the ones who were caring for my baby?"
"Y-Yes. I hope we didn't step over any lines," Lincoln shakily replied, remembering how protective Kangaskhan are of their offspring.
"Not at all. You have my gratitude for… wait, can it be?" the Kangaskhan questioned, looking down at Pikachu, who also recognized the Kangaskhan.
"No way… sister?!" Pikachu exclaimed happily, leaping up onto Kangaskhan's shoulder.
"Wait, 'sister'?" Lincoln questioned.
"Yeah. Long story short, this Kangaskhan and I first met back when I was still a Pichu, and when she was a baby Kangaskhan herself," Pikachu replied.
"Which brings me to something that's been on my mind since then; Where did you go? My mother was so worried about you!" Kangaskhan questioned.
"Wait, Pikachu, you walked out on your sister and mother?" Lincoln questioned, sounding quite shocked.
"I felt it was the best decision I could make. She nearly died when we were playing hide and seek after she fell off a cliff," Pikachu replied.
"Well, it was a lucky thing that Mew was there to catch me when it did. That still doesn't explain WHY you ditched us!" Kangaskhan yelled.
"I figured that if I stuck around, you'd be bound for danger! I was doing it for your sake!" Pikachu argued. Kangaskhan was taken aback a little bit but was still pretty sore.
"Well, I suppose I can sympathize with you on that. But it still doesn't take away from the hurt it caused!" Kangaskhan yelled. Lincoln then remembered something.
"Speaking of hurt, I saw that your baby was injured when we found it. If you want, I can apply some medicine to help it heal," Lincoln offered. Kangaskhan looked a bit wary.
"Hmm, I don't know… Can I really trust you with that?" Kangaskhan asked.
"It's ok, you can trust my trainer. He's good for his word," Pikachu urged. Kangaskhan was still a bit uneasy, but knew she needed to get her baby feeling better.
"Alright, but if you try anything funny, it'll be the last thing you ever do!" Kangaskhan threatened, greatly unnerving Lincoln. She then took her baby out of her pouch.
"Uh, duly noted," Lincoln replied, as he fished out a Hyper Potion, and approached Kangaskhan's baby, "Alright little one, I'm going to apply some medicine to help you heal up a bit. It's probably going to sting a bit, but try to bear with it, ok?"
"O-Ok," the baby Kangaskhan replied. Lincoln then spritzed it with the Hyper Potion, causing the baby Kangaskhan to cry out.
"Just hang in there, alright? I know it stings going on, but it's good for you," Pikachu encouraged. And true to his word, the wounds all around the baby Kangaskhan disappeared, and it was feeling alright again, "There, you see?" The mother Kangaskhan then lifted her baby back up into her pouch.
"Thank you for healing my baby, human. If you want, I can join your team," the mother Kangaskhan offered.
"Wait, you'd really allow me to catch you?" Lincoln asked. Kangaskhan then lifted Pikachu up.
"Of course. After all, THIS one and I have some catching up to do," she replied, glaring softly at Pikachu.
"Well, let me just check something first," Lincoln replied, scanning Kangaskhan.
"This Female Kangaskhan is Level 44, and knows the moves Stomp, Fake Out, Pound, Tail Whip, Crunch, Focus Energy, Headbutt, Endure, Sucker Punch, Double Hit, Reversal, and the Egg Moves Disable and Crush Claw," Dexter explained.
"Alright then, welcome to the family then," Lincoln said, tossing a Safari Ball at Kangaskhan, encapsulating it. The Safari Ball rocked once, twice, three times before snapping shut.
"Kangaskhan has been registered to your Pokedex."
"Nice!" Lincoln commented. He was then approached by Yurei.
"Nicely done with how you held off Team Rocket until we arrived, Lincoln," she said.
"Thanks. So, was that the last of the poachers in the Safari Zone?" Lincoln asked.
"Yes. Janine and the others have captured the rest of them at their end. She should be good to take your challenge tomorrow," Yurei replied.
"Alright! Now I'll be able to try for my sixth badge at long last!" Lincoln said, pumped up.
"Good to have enthusiasm, but don't let your guard down. Koga never gave away the Soul Badge that easily, and neither will Janine," Yurei warned.
"I know not to underestimate a Gym Leader. I know you're all tough as they come," Lincoln replied.
"Good. In any case, we're going to go and meet back up with Janine and the others to go talk with the Fuchsia City Council and let them know that the poachers have been apprehended. You go on and continue with your Safari Zone excursion," Yurei said, as she and the other gym trainers loaded up into the jeeps and drove off.
"So, that was the Gym Leader Lincoln faced when you all first met him?" Gilda asked.
"Yes. Yurei is still as no-nonsense as she was back then," Lilliana replied.
"And she was tough, too. It took an entire team of six Pokemon to take down three of hers, and even then, it was a close shave," Lincoln added.
"Well, in any case, shall we continue exploring?" Elanor suggested.
"Sounds good. I've still got three more Safari Balls left," Lincoln replied, as they went back to exploring, until Lincoln tripped over a rock, and pulled down Carmilla and Elanor's shorts on his way down, causing both Monster Women to fall on their asses, right on top of Lincoln.
"Somehow, I think there's some other power at play here," Carmilla dryly commented, as they got up, and once again, pulled up their shorts.
Later that day, back at the Safari Zone entrance,
Brock, Misty, and their friends from Cerise Labs were all waiting around for Lincoln and the others to come back, sharing with each other what Pokemon they had managed to catch, "It took me my last five Safari Balls to catch this Parasect, but it was worth it!" Rusty commented.
"I was able to catch a Rhyhorn," Liam commented.
"What about you two?" Bobby asked Brock and Misty.
"We did manage to catch some Pokemon, but we're planning to use them in Wonder Trading," Misty replied.
"It might be some time before we try any Wonder Trading. It does look like fun," Clyde commented.
"Oh, and it is," Misty replied. Just then, the gates to the Safari Zone opened up, and out came Lincoln and all the mothers, "Hey there, you guys! We were wondering where you were."
"Well, we had a close encounter with those poachers we were warned about. Thankfully, Yurei and several others came to help us out. And if that weren't enough, Tyrunt, Cranidos, and Metang have all evolved!" Lincoln replied.
"That's great, Lincoln!" Clyde replied, just as Kaiser came out of the office.
"You all got your fair share of Pokemon?" he asked.
"Yes, we did. Thank you for letting us take part," Lincoln said, as he returned the bucket.
"Think nothing of it, young man. You all take care, y'hear?" Kaiser said, as the group left.
"So, Lincoln, what all did you catch?" Rusty asked.
"Well, going by unique species, I managed to catch Tauros, Gligar, Shuckle, Kangaskhan, Tropius, and a little pink blobby Pokemon called 'Ditto'. As far as how many Safari Balls I used, well, let's just say I had caught a total of 21 Tauros," Lincoln replied, sounding exasperated.
"Wow! That's amazing!" Rusty commented.
"Yeah, but I don't really need those other twenty Tauros. More than likely I'll be doing a ton of Wonder Trading later," Lincoln replied.
"Oh? What's 'Wonder Trading'?" Gilda asked.
"It's where a trainer can trade Pokemon randomly with another trainer from any of the other regions," Lincoln explained.
"Well, as much as we'd like to stay and see what you manage to get, we need to get back to the Monster Realm. Royal duties tend to crop up at the worst possible times," Lilliana stated.
"The same goes for me as well. But I still quite enjoyed our little outing today, Lincoln," Sephie added.
"I enjoyed spending the day with each of you as well," Lincoln replied, before remembering something, "One thing, before you go; How are the Kovaks doing?"
"You mean the aliens that Charlie and the others brought with them after their last outing with you? They're adjusting quite well, learning all the ins and outs of being servants to a master. Not to mention, Blitz and his two employees are beginning their self-defense training, albeit a little slow," Kiken replied.
"Ok. Could you maybe pass a message along to Blitz, and tell him that I'm willing to discuss payment plans with him at his earliest convenience?" Lincoln requested.
"Not to worry. I'll make sure he gets the message. Until next time," Lilliana said, opening a portal to the Monster Realm, allowing herself and the others to pass through. Sephie pressed a button on her wrist device, which teleported her away.
"Well, time to get back to the Pokemon Center and get the team rested up," Lincoln commented, as they continued to the Pokemon Center.
Meanwhile, in Royal Woods State Prison,
Lynn Sr., along with several other inmates were cleaning the showers, "C'mon you maggots! Put some elbow grease into it!" one of the guards barked.
"I'd love to shove this mop up your nose," one of the inmates grumbled under his breath as not to be heard by the guards. Lynn Sr. was scrubbing down some tiles when he bumped into someone.
"Hey, watch it, bub!" Lynn Sr. recognized the inmate as none other than Flip.
"Flip?" he asked.
"That's my name, don't wear it out," Flip rudely replied. Lynn Sr. knew that Flip was sent here after he got caught for innumerous health violations of his convenience store, but it looked like he was in rough shape.
"What all has happened with you, Flip?" Lynn Sr. asked, trying to make some small talk.
"More like 'what HASN'T 'happened with me?' you mean. One day, I'm doing business as usual, then the next, the health department comes and shuts down my gas station for a bunch of 'health violations.' Don't they know that I need to sell all those cartons of milk? And the nacho cheese machine is the best place to rest my dogs. And what's the harm in hoarding a few winning lottery tickets?" Flip ranted quietly.
"What I want to know is how you managed to get away with having your store in such terrible shape," Lynn Sr. replied.
"I could say the same thing about you and your former family. I heard about what went down between all of you and Lincoln. Speaking of, you know any way I can contact him? I think I got hit with that Karmic Curse thing, and I need to get rid of it. That other Flip I've been hearing has been calling me out on stuff that wasn't even my fault to begin with," Flip asked.
"If I knew a way to do that, I would've done it a long time ago, which would've HAD to include me punishing Lincoln for lying to us. But the court decided to ban me from ever contacting him, Rita or any of his sisters again," Lynn Sr. replied.
"Eh, makes sense to me. After all, you aren't really that great of a father. I mean, come on! Siding with your daughters just to appease ONE of them? How pathetic!" Flip insulted.
"Well, it seemed like a good idea at the time!" Lynn Sr. feebly argued.
"Well, now you know that WASN'T the case, and now, you're all alone in the world," Flip retorted.
"Hey, you two! Less talking, more scrubbing!" a guard yelled, getting both men back to work.
Meanwhile, in the Fuchsia City Pokemon Center Wonder Trade Station,
Lincoln had his first five Tauros ready to go, "Alright, time to see what I get from this first batch," he said, as, one by one, he placed each Safari Ball into the slot and traded them off. In return, he got two Net Balls, a Dusk Ball, a Great Ball, and a Lure Ball, "Alright, lets see our new teammates!" he said, tossing all five Pokeballs into the air, releasing the Pokemon inside each of them. From the first Net Ball emerged a small, white cicada like Pokemon with brown front claws. The second Net Ball held a small, white grub Pokemon with large pincers. The Dusk Ball released a large, red turtle like Pokemon with large spikes on its shell. The Great Ball released what could be described as a floating sword Pokemon with a long, blue ribbon, still inside a rusty brown scabbard. Finally, from the Lure Ball, a red octopus Pokemon emerged with yellow bumps around its head and tentacles.
"Nincada, Grubbin, Turtonator, Honedge, and Octillery have been registered to your Pokedex," Dexter stated.
"Whoa, nice array of Pokemon already!" Rusty commented, as he, Lincoln, and Goh scanned each one, while Misty went and began her Wonder Trading.
"Nincada, the Trainee Pokemon, a Ground and Bug Type first discovered in the Hoenn Region. It can live underground for over 10 years. It absorbs nutrients from the roots of trees. Because it's nearly blind from living underground for so long, it uses its antenna to search its surroundings. This Male Nincada is Level 17, and knows the moves Sand Attack, Scratch, Harden, False Swipe, Mud Slap, and the Egg Move Flail.
Grubbin, the Larva Pokemon, a Bug Type first discovered in the Alola Region. It uses its big jaws to dig nests into forest floors and loves to eat the sweet sap from trees. The Male Grubbin is Level 15, and knows the moves Vice Grip, String Shot, Mud Slap, Bug Bite, and Bite.
Turtonator, the Blast Turtle Pokemon, a Fire and Dragon Type first discovered in the Alola Region. A diet of explosive materials, such as sulfur, has caused this Pokemon's back to become explosive. It wards off enemies with the detonation set off by touching the spikes on Turtonator's shell. This Male Turtonator is level 44, and knows the moves Flamethrower, Body Slam, Incinerate, Dragon Pulse, Iron Defense, Flail, Endure, Protect, Shell Trap, Shell Smash, and the Egg Move Wide Guard.
Honedge, the Sword Pokemon, a Steel and Ghost Type first discovered in the Alola Region. The blue eye on the swords handguard is the true body of Honedge. With its blue cloth, it drains away the life force of those who attempt to take it by the hilt. The Male Honedge is Level 28, and knows the moves Tackle, Fury Cutter, Aerial Ace, Shadow Sneak, Automize, Metal Sound, Slash, Night Slash, and Retaliate.
Octillery, the Jet Pokemon, a Water Type first discovered in the Johto Region. It tends to want to be in holes. It prefers rock crags or pots, and sprays ink from inside them before attacking. This female Octillery is Level 30, and knows the moves Bubble Beam, Water Gun, Bullet Seed, Aurora Beam, Lock On, Gunk Shot, Octozooka, Focus Energy, Water Pulse, Psybeam, Rock Blast, and the Egg Move Supersonic," each Pokedex explained.
"Oh, I've always wanted an Octillery! It's so cute!" Misty gushed, as Lincoln went to introduce himself to his new Pokemon.
"Hey there! My name's Lincoln, and starting today, I'll be your new trainer!" Lincoln greeted.
"Pleased to make your acquaintance, Lincoln," Nincada greeted back.
"Let's work hard together!" Honedge proclaimed.
"My thoughts exactly. We'll begin our training later," Lincoln said, recalling each of his newly obtained Pokemon, and swapping them out for five more Tauros. He then proceeded to begin Wonder Trading again.
"Now, let's see what I got!" Misty said, tossing her three new Pokeballs, which consisted of a Dive Ball, a Nest Ball, and a Quick Ball. From each, respective one emerged an almost perfectly round, light blue walrus like Pokemon, a small goat like Pokemon with what appeared to be a bushel of leaves around its neck, and a little pink bulldog Pokemon with a grumpy look on its face.
"Alright, lets see who these guys are!" Rusty said, scanning Misty's new Pokemon along with Goh.
"Spheal, the Clap Pokemon, a Ice and Water Type first discovered in the Hoenn Region. It rolls across ice floes to reach shore because its body is poorly shaped for swimming.
Skiddo, the Mount Pokemon, a Grass Type first discovered in the Kalos Region. As long as it has sunshine and water, Skiddo can make energy with the leaves on its body, allowing it to live even in rocky mountain areas.
Snubbull, the Fairy Pokemon, a Fairy Type first discovered in the Johto Region. Although it bears an intimidating expression, Snubbull is a cowardly Pokemon. It growls eagerly to hide its fear from its opponent. It tends to sleep half the day," both Pokedexes explained.
"They're all so cute too!" Misty exclaimed, going to make friends with her new Pokemon. Snubbull cowered a bit but was encouraged by Spheal and Skiddo.
"Now its time for my second batch of Pokemon!" Lincoln said, tossing his next five Pokeballs, consisting of a pair of Luxury Balls and Dusk Balls, and a regular Pokeball. From the Luxury Balls emerged a tall, black lizard Pokemon with a feminine form and a small Pokemon that looked to be wearing a Pikachu shaped cloth over it. It also had a branch that was shaped like a Pikachu's tail. From the Dusk Balls emerged a chunky mole Pokemon with large, metallic claws and a spike right above its face, and a massive, purple and black pumpkin Pokemon with glowing eyes on its body. It sparkled upon materializing, indicating it was a Shiny Pokemon. From the regular Pokeball emerged a small, green dog like Pokemon with lightning bolt shaped markings on its body.
"Salazzle, Mimikyu, Excadrill, Pumpkaboo, and Electrike have been registered to your Pokedex," Dexter stated.
"Awesome!" Lincoln exclaimed, as he, Rusty, and Goh scanned each one, as Brock went to make his Wonder Trades.
"Salazzle, the Toxic Lizard Pokemon, a Poison and Fire Type first discovered in the Alola Region, and the evolved form of a female Salandit. The winner between two Salazzle is determined by whichever one has the most male Salandit serving it. This female Salazzle is level 40, and knows the moves Fire Lash, Poison Gas, Flamethrower, Toxic, Poison Fang, Venoshock, Nasty Plot, Sweet Scent, Incinerate, Torment, and Swagger.
Mimikyu, the Disguise Pokemon, a Ghost and Fairy Type first discovered in the Alola Region. It wears a rag fashioned to look like a Pikachu in an effort to appear less scary. Unfortunately, this only makes it look even creepier. Not much is known about this Pokemon's true form, but a famous scientist who once saw underneath Mimikyu's rag would later die of fright. This female Mimikyu is level 42, and knows the moves Shadow Claw, Shadow Ball, Mimic, Hone Claws, Slash, Wood Hammer, Double Team, Shadow Sneak, and the Egg Move Destiny Bond.
Excadrill, the Subterrene Pokemon, a Ground and Steel Type first discovered in the Unova Region, and the evolved form of Drilbur. Known as the Drill King, it can tunnel through the ground at speeds of over 90 mph. This male Excadrill is Level 37, and knows the moves Dig, Rock Slide, Horn Drill, Metal Claw, Crush Claw, Sandstorm, Fury Swipes, Rapid Spin, and the Egg Move Metal Sound.
Pumpkaboo, the Pumpkin Pokemon, a Ghost and Grass Type first discovered in the Kalos Region. It is said to carry wandering spirits to the place where they belong so they can move on. This female Pumpkaboo is Level 42 and is Super Size, and knows the moves Bullet Seed, Shadow Ball, Razor Leaf, Trick-or-Treat, Seed Bomb, Worry Seed, Scary Face, Confuse Ray, and Trick.
Electrike, the Lightning Pokemon, an Electric Type first discovered in the Hoenn Region. It stores static electricity in its fur for discharging. It gives off sparks if a storm is coming. This male Electrike is Level 23, and knows the moves Thunder Wave, Tackle, Leer, Howl, Quick Attack, Shock Wave, Bite, and the Egg Moves Ice Fang and Fire Fang," the Pokedexes explained.
It was at that moment that a bright light erupted from Pumpkaboo, "Wait, is it evolving already?!" and it was. The black stem part of Pumpkaboo grew longer, as its base grew much larger. When the light died off, Pumpkaboo's upper body consisted of a long, slender body, with long purple hair that looked to form arms, and the pumpkin base was now black.
"Gourgeist has been registered to your Pokedex," Dexter stated.
"It evolved already?!" Misty exclaimed.
"Makes sense. Pumpkaboo are among the few Pokemon that can evolve through trading," Goh commented, as Lincoln scanned his newly evolved Gourgeist.
"Gourgeist, the Pumpkin Pokemon, a Ghost and Grass Type. It enwraps its prey with its hairlike arms. It sings joyfully as it watches the suffering of its prey," Dexter explained, which greatly unnerved everyone there.
"Yeesh, first a Pokemon that can cause you to die of fright just from looking under its cloth, and now a Pokemon that sings with joy as its prey suffers? I know nature is supposed to be beautiful and all, but does it really have to be THIS gruesome?" Zach questioned.
"Well, it's probably just their nature to do so. After all, lots of regular animals can be brutal too," Lincoln replied, as he approached his new Pokemon, "Hi there! I'm Lincoln Loud, your new trainer!" he said, greeting his new batch of Pokemon.
"Pleased to meet you!" Gourgeist greeted back.
"So, what sort of training are you going to put us through?" Electrike asked.
"Mostly we'll be working on improving your strong points," Lincoln replied, as he recalled the five new Pokemon, and began swapping them out for five more Tauros. Brock came over with three Pokeballs of his own. They consisted of a pair of Net Balls, and a Quick Ball.
"Alright, lets see my new Pokemon!" Brock said, as he sent out his three new Pokemon. The first was a little red centipede Pokemon, a small, yellow fairy like bug Pokemon, and a large, beige cobra like Pokemon.
"Alright, now lets see who you guys are," Liam said, as he, Goh, and Sid scanned them.
"Sizzlepede, the Radiator Pokemon, a Bug and Fire Type first discovered in the Galar Region. It stores flammable gas inside its body and uses it to generate heat. The yellow sections on its belly get particularly hot.
Cutifly, the Bee Fly Pokemon, a Bug and Fairy Type. An opponent's aura can tell Cutiefly what their next move will be. Then, Cutifly can glide around the attack and strike back. Nectar and pollen are their favorite fare.
Silicobra, the Sand Snake Pokemon, a Ground Type first discovered in the Galar Region. As it digs, it swallows sand and stores it in its neck pouch. The pouch can hold more than 17 pounds of sand," each Pokedex explained.
"Way awesome, you guys!" Lincoln said, holding his next five Pokeballs. They consisted of an Ultra Ball, a pair of Dusk Balls, a Nest Ball, and a Luxury Ball. He tossed them all into the air, releasing the Pokemon inside. The Ultra Ball had a Darmanitan, much like the one James had. From the first Dusk Ball emerged a small, yet blue golem Pokemon. The second Dusk Ball released a small, beige hippo like Pokemon. From the Nest Ball came a hermit crab like Pokemon that was carrying around a humungous boulder on its back. The Luxury Ball released a small, purple lizard like Pokemon.
"Darmanitan, Golett, Hippopotas, Crustle, and Toxel have been registered to your Pokedex," Dexter stated.
"Alright! Let's see what these guys are about!" Lincoln said, as he, Goh, and Bobby scanned them.
"Darmanitan, the Blazing Pokemon, a Fire Type first discovered in the Unova Region, and the evolved form of Darumaka. The thick arms of this hot blooded Pokemon can deliver punches capable of obliterating a dump truck. This Male Darmanitan is Level 46, and knows the moves Flare Blitz, Hammer Arm, Belly Drum, Uproar, Fire Fang, Fire Punch, Headbutt, Incinerate, Flamethrower, and the Egg Move Flame Wheel.
Golett, the Automaton Pokemon, a Ground and Ghost Type first discovered in the Unova Region. They were sculpted from clay in ancient times. No one knows why, but some of them are driven to continually line up boulders. This Golett is Level 38 and knows the moves Shadow Punch, Defense Curl, Shadow Ball, Iron Defense, Stomping Tantrum, Night Shade, and Mega Punch.
Hippopotas, the Hippo Pokemon, a Ground Type first discovered in the Sinnoh Region. It enshrouds itself in sand to protect itself from germs. It does not enjoy getting wet. This male Hippopotas is Level 29, and knows the moves Tackle, Sand Attack, Sand Tomb, Yawn, Dig, Crunch, Sandstorm, Take Down, and the Egg Move Slack Off.
Crustle, the Stone Home Pokemon, a Bug and Rock Type first discovered in the Unova Region, and the evolved form of Dwebble. This highly territorial Pokemon prefers dry climates. It does not come out of its boulder on rainy days. This male Crustle is Level 45, and knows the moves Stealth Rock, Rock Polish, Rock Slide, X-Scissor, Slash, Rock Blast, Fury Cutter, Smack Down, Withdraw, and the Egg Move Block.
Toxel, the Baby Pokemon a Poison and Electric Type first discovered in the Galar Region. It manipulates the chemical makeup of its poison to produce electricity. The voltage, while weak, can cause a tingling paralysis. The male Toxel is level 19, and knows the moves Nuzzle, Growl, Flail, Acid, Tearful Look, and Belch," each Pokedex explained.
"You're getting a lot of Ground, Electric, Ghost, Bug and Poison Types, Lincoln," Brock commented.
"I'll say, and each new Pokemon is every bit as amazing as the last!" Lincoln replied, as Toxel and Hippopotas came up at their new trainer with great curiosity, "Hey there, you two. I'm going to be your new trainer as of today," Lincoln said, introducing himself. These five Pokemon seemed to accept Lincoln as their new trainer by their joyful reactions. Lincoln recalled each one and swapped them out for the last five Tauros he was going to Wonder Trade off.
"Those are your last five Tauros, right?" Bobby asked.
"Yeah. I'm keeping the strongest of the bunch for myself," Lincoln replied, as he began to send off his last batch of Tauros. Each one were exchanged with a pair of Luxury Balls, a Nest Ball, a Love Ball, and an odd, looking Pokeball that was completely red with a wide, black belt around the center, "Whoa, what's with this Pokeball?" he wondered. Misty, Brock, Goh and Sid immediately recognized it, and were shocked, to say the least.
"Lincoln, that's a Cherish Ball!" Misty exclaimed.
"Is that a good thing?" Clyde asked.
"More than that, Clyde. Cherish Balls are reserved for particularly special Pokemon, like ones that know moves that their species can't learn normally. That must mean whatever Pokemon you've received must be super rare!" Goh exclaimed.
"Well, lets see what I've got!" Lincoln said, as he tossed up his last five Wonder Traded Pokemon. From the first of the Dusk Balls emerged a tall, black and red fox like Pokemon with a wild, shaggy mane. The second Dusk Ball released a small, black and white humanoid Pokemon that looked to be wearing gothic Lolita style clothing. The Nest Ball released a humanoid plant like Pokemon with a large orange flower on its head, as well as a set of large, tulip-like sepals around its waist, making it look like a dress. For some reason, this Pokemon was still covered in scratches and wounds, as if it were just Wonder Traded off without getting any medical attention. The Love Ball yielded a tall, almost humanoid Pokemon that looked to be wearing a large, light blue witches hat, which looked like it had a tentacle-like arm growing from the tip of it. It was also surrounded by a light blue and pink mass of what Lincoln assumed was hair, giving it the appearance of a cloak. From the Cherish Ball, a small, also humanoid Pokemon emerged, and slammed face first into Lincoln's forehead. It had long, green hair that resembled a musical bar, as well as a musical note on the side of its head. It had a feminine figure, with long, white legs, green eyes, and a jewel in the middle of its forehead, "Ow, what hit me?" he wondered, as he saw his new Pokemon.
"Zoroark, Gothorita, Lilligant, Hatterene, and Meloetta have been registered to your Pokedex," Dexter stated.
"I can't believe it! It's a Meloetta!" Sid exclaimed, as she and Goh both leapt into each other's arms, before they remembered gravity, and fell to the floor.
"I've heard of Meloetta. It's one of the Mythical Pokemon. Apparently, its songs can quell any conflict or hostility. It's apparently the muse for many a works of art," Brock commented.
"Well, lets just have a look at these five then," Lincoln said, scanning each of his new Pokemon, along with Goh, and Clyde.
"Zorark, the Illusion Fox Pokemon, a Dark Type first discovered in the Unova Region, and the evolved form of Zorua. This Pokemon cares deeply for others of its kind and will conjure terrifying illusions to protect its den and pack. This female Zoroark is Level 40, and knows the moves Night Slash, U-Turn, Torment, Fury Swipes, Hone Claws, Imprison, Scary Face, Taunt, Knock Off, Fake Tears, Agility, and the Egg Move Extrasensory.
Gothorita, the Manipulate Pokemon, a Psychic Type first discovered in the Unova Region, and the evolved form of Gothita. On nights when the stars shine, this Pokemon's psychic powers are at their strongest. It is unknown just what link Gothorita has to the greater universe. This Female Gothorita is level 39, and knows the moves Pound, Psych Up, Psybeam, Tickle, Play Nice, Charm, Fake Tears, Hypnosis, Psyshock, and the Egg Move Mean Look.
Lilligant, the Flowering Pokemon, a Grass Type first discovered in the Unova Region, and the evolved form of Petilil. Essential oils made from Lilligant flowers have a sublime scent but are also staggeringly expensive. Even veteran trainers and first-rate gardeners have difficulty making the flower on Lilligant's head to bloom. This female Lilligant is Level 30, and knows the moves Petal Dance, Petal Blizzard, Teeter Dance, Quiver Dance, Sleep Powder, Aromatherapy, Energy Ball, Magical Leaf, Leaf Storm, Sunny Day, Giga Drain, and Synthesis.
Hatterene, the Silent Pokemon, a Psychic and Fairy Type first discovered in the Galar Region, and the fully evolved form of Hattena. It emits psychic powers strong enough to cause headaches as a deterrent for those who approach it. Because it goes on the attack anytime someone is too loud around it, it is known as the 'Witch of the Forest'. This female Hatterene is level 47, and knows the moves Psycho Cut, Brutal Swing, Life Dew, Disarming Voice, Aromatherapy, Psybeam, Heal Pulse, Psychic, Calm Mind, and Dazzling Gleam.
Meloetta, the Melody Pokemon, a Mythical Normal and Psychic Type first documented in the Unova Region. Its melodies are sung with a special vocalization that can control the feelings of those who hear it. Many famous songs by the melodies that Meloetta plays. This Female Meloetta is Level 75, and knows the moves Sing, Quick Attack, Round, Psychic, Psybeam, Acrobatics, U-Turn, Hyper Voice, Role Play, and Relic Song," each Pokedex explained.
"Level 75?! That's the highest level of ANY Pokemon I've ever caught!" Lincoln exclaimed, only to get smacked by Hatterene's tentacle, "Ouch! Should've remembered that!"
"Still, getting a Mythical Pokemon from a Wonder Trade is no small feat," Brock replied, as Lincoln got back up, and went to introduce himself to his last batch of Pokemon. Lilligant shied away a little bit from his advance.
"Hey there. I'm Lincoln Loud. I'm going to be your trainer starting today," Lincoln said, introducing himself.
"Pleased to meet you, cutie. Sorry about hitting you. It's a reflex for my species," Hatterene apologized.
"Perfectly understandable," Lincoln replied, as Meloetta fluttered around him, "Well, aren't you a curious one, Meloetta?"
"W-Well, I'm just seeing if you're anything like those bad people who invaded my homeland," Meloetta shyly replied.
"Wait, what?!" Lincoln exclaimed.
"Some bad people invaded my homeland, trying to capture me to use my power for something bad. My trainer managed to sneak me away in time, and Wonder Traded me off so that I would be safe," Meloetta replied.
"I'm sorry to hear about that, Meloetta. But you don't have to worry. We're all friends here," Lincoln replied.
"Yeah. Sure, you might get put through some tough training, but that'll probably be the extent of what Lincoln will do with you," Pikachu added.
"Is he a good trainer?" Zoroark asked.
"Well, I've managed to earn five Gym Badges, and I'm going for my sixth one," Lincoln replied.
"Hmm, impressive," Hatterene commented, as she took an instantly liking to her new trainer. Pikachu then noticed Lilligant was still hiding behind Zoroark. Pikachu then approached.
"Hey there, there's no need to be shy or scared. Lincoln's a real nice guy. I can guarantee he'll treat you right," Pikachu said, trying to coax Lilligant out of hiding.
"I-I-I'm sorry… I… j-j-just had some bad experiences with my l-last t-t-trainer," Lilligant replied.
"Well, you won't have to worry about having any bad experiences with Lincoln. He'll work with you and all the others to help strengthen your strong points," Pikachu replied.
"Lilligant? Would you like to go and get healed up? It looks like your last trainer didn't do a thing to take care of you," Lincoln offered cautiously, as not to cause any more stress to Lilligant, who already looked to be on edge.
"…O-Ok," Lilligant replied. Lincoln then recalled the other four Pokemon, before leading Lilligant out of the Wonder Trade Station.
"All that experience being an older brother must really pay off with stuff like this," Rusty commented, as they all exited the Wonder Trade Station as well.
"Just goes to show that it pays to be both tender and firm with those who are as timid as Lilligant," Brock replied.
"So, what are you guys going to do now?" Misty asked.
"Well, hopefully the girls have gotten over learning about Miltank Syndrome, so we'll probably head on back to the Lab," Zach replied, hoping things won't be as awkward when they return.
"Plus, we definitely need to show the professor all the data we've collected in the Safari Zone," Goh added.
"Well, lets get Lincoln to open the portal to the lab once he's able to," Misty replied, as they entered the lobby, seeing Lincoln handing off Lilligant's Pokeball to Nurse Joy, who then took it to the back, "Hey Lincoln!"
"Hey guys," Lincoln replied.
"So, Lilligant's been taken back?" Liam asked.
"Yeah. Nurse Joy was shocked to see that Lilligant was Wonder Traded to me in such poor condition, but assured me that she'll take care of it," Lincoln replied.
"Cool. So, it's getting late, and things back at the lab have probably cooled off by now," Rusty began.
"So, you're all going to be heading back now?" Lincoln asked.
"Yeah. We've got a lot of data to show the professor," Sid replied.
"I see. Well, in that case, I'll go ahead and open the portal then," Lincoln replied, as he used his amulet to open the portal to the lab.
"Good luck in your Gym Battle, buddy," Clyde said, sharing a firm handshake with Lincoln.
"Thanks, and stay safe on your Research Quests," Lincoln said, as they all passed through the portal, "Alright, now all that's left for me to do for today is get ready for my date with Loona and Gwen."
Now, I know that Meloetta is canonically genderless, but I've decided to make her a female for the sake of this story. Anyhow, the next chapter will have Lincoln's date with Loona and Gwendolyn, as well as the Big Pokemon Race from the anime where Ponyta first officially debuted. I'm planning to have both Lincoln and Loona participate in the race, riding on both Kantonian and Galarian Ponyta.
