Chapter 14
(Fuchsia City)
The group walked into the city, after having their Pokemon give them a ride, after they said their goodbyes to Red, before he left them on his own Charizard, heading back to Pallet Town.
"Ok, let's head to the Gym, seeing as Naruto and Will's team all rested up at the Pokemon Center, before we left" Misty said as she looked at Naruto and Will
["Yea, and I needed it the most, after what that crazy girl tried to do to me"] Kurama said, as he stared at May.
"Oi! I may not know what you're saying, but I can read tones, fur ball!" May yelled, as she stomped towards Kurama, but she was held back by Serena and Misty.
"So what's the plan for this Gym, babe?" Will asked Naruto while ignoring this.
"Well, this is most likely still gonna be a Poison Type Gym leader. So our best bet is to plan around that" Naruto said.
"So Steel Types, Pokemon that are tanks or can one shot them, gotcha" Will said, as she nodded at this.
"I would also recommend a Fire Type, seeing as most Poison Types are Bug Types" Naruto said, as he thought to himself.
"Got it," Will said with a nod, as she held out her Charizard's Pokeball with a smile on her face.
["I have your back. But aren't you up shit creek, when it comes to Steel Types?"] Kurama asked curiously, as he knew what Pokemon Naruto had in reserve, and he didn't recall any Steel Types.
"I've already thought of that, so don't worry" Naruto said, as he took out a Pokeball and tossed it, letting out his Scyther.
["Where's the battle?"] Scyther yelled out, as he looked around while waving his scythes about.
"No battle yet, this is prep work" Naruto said, as he took off his backpack and opened it, before reaching inside it and pulling out a metal looking cylinder.
"Ah, I get it" Will said with a smile, as she nodded at this.
"Is that what I think it is?" Serena asked with wide eyes.
"Yup, it's a Metal Coat. Dad gave it to me when he saw I had a Scyther" Naruto said with a smile, before he looked at Scyther. "Ok buddy, it's your choice. But this will let you evolve into a Scizor, if you wish to" he said, as he held out the Metal Coat to his Pokemon.
["It will help with those pesky Poison Types, seeing as Steel Types can't be poisoned as easily as others"] Kurama said, deciding to pipe in with his opinion.
Scyther looked at the Metal Coat with a calculated eye, before he nodded and tapped his head to the Metal Coat, which caused him to start to glow brightly.
Naruto and the others all smiled, as Scyther's shape changed, before he stopped glowing, showing that he was now coloured red with gray wings on his back, and large round pincers.
Will took out her Pokedex and scanned the new Pokemon. "\Scizor, the Scissor Pokémon and the evolved form of Scyther. Its incredible attack speed and its large scissor-like claws make it a formidable opponent\" the Pokedex said.
Naruto smiled at his newly evolved Pokemon. "Are you feeling up to helping with this next Gym battle?" he asked Scizor.
Scizor raised his claws and smiled at Naruto, showing that he was ready.
"Ok, then let's get going," Will said, as she put away her Pokedex, while Naruto returned Scizor.
"Any ideas for who else you're gonna use?" Serena asked Will curiously, as they started walking.
"I have an idea for who might be useful for this" Will said, as she smiled at this.
"Oh? Care to fill us in?" Naruto asked with a raised eyebrow.
Will simply smiled as she took out a Pokeball and opened it, letting out….
"Tyrunt?" Misty asked curiously, as Will hugged the fossil Pokemon in greeting, who smiled at this.
"How is he gonna help?" May asked with a cocked eyebrow.
"Well, most Poison Types are bugs, and my little Tyrunt here is a Rock Type" Will said as she cuddled Tyrunt a bit.
["My first Gym battle?! Alright!"] Tyrunt yelled happily, excited at the idea for finally getting a chance to fight.
["Do you even know how to fight, kid?"] Kurama asked with a raised eyebrow at the fossil Pokemon
["Hey! I'll have you know, that I have been training with Will's other Pokemon back at the old man's ranch. I have been practicing!"] Tyrunt yelled, as he stomped his feet at this.
["We will see about that, runt"] Kurama said with a scoff at this, clearly not impressed, making Tyrunt growl at this.
"Ok, save it for the Gym, you two" Naruto said to the two Pokemon, as he led the way to the Gym.
They were all soon standing in front of what looked like a big building, that looked like a traditional dojo, only it had what looked like the Pokemon League symbol on the front of it.
"A dojo? How does that fit a Poison Type Gym?" May asked, as they all looked at the building with raised eyebrows.
"Yea, wouldn't that fit Fighting Types more?" Misty asked curiously, as she gave a nod.
"I'm thinking they are going for a ninja feel more, which fits Poison," Naruto said with a shrug, as they all entered the dojo.
"You are very bright for a first time challenger" a female voice said, getting their attention, which caused them all to jump at attention, while looking around for who spoke.
Soon what looked like a figure dropped down in front of them. She had spiky purple hair, a red scarf around her neck and she wore a ninja outfit.
"Welcome to the Fuchsia Gym. You are my first guests, since I inherited the responsibility from my father. I am Janine" the woman said, as she gave them all a bow.
"Wait, you're that loons kid? I hope that you put a boot up his ass for what he pulled, since I didn't get to after I beat him!" Will said with a scowl at this.
"Ah, Miss Vandom. I was hoping you would arrive" Janine said, as she looked at Will and bowed her head in respect to her.
"Uhhhhhh, this is new" Misty said, surprised at this response from the Gym leader.
"I'm not complaining," Will said with a smile at this.
"Thank you for dealing with my disgrace of a father and his foolishness" Janine said, as she looked up at Will, before she took out what looked like a badge. "Seeing as you technically defeated my father while he was technically still the Gym leader, I shall present you with this Soul badge in his steed" she said, as she held out the badge to Will.
"Score! Now I'm not as annoyed, since I had to fight a Moltres" Will said, as she took the badge with a smile.
["Wait, you fought a what?!"] Kurama yelled in surprise, as he looked at Will.
"When and where did this happen?!" Naruto asked, as he too looked at Will.
"Oh yea. Koga sicked a Moltres on us when he started to loose" Misty said with a smile at the memory.
"Yea, and we still knocked his candy ass!" Will said with a smile, as she put her soul badge away
"Hey, that reminds me, Moltres is the only Legendary bird Pokemon that we've not got as part of the group" Serena said.
"Let's put a pin in this for now, babe. Naruto needs to have his match" May said with a chuckle at this.
"Of course, so please follow me," Janine said, as she turned and led them further into the Gym.
"Hey, are you a real female ninja?" Naruto asked curiously, as they all followed Janine.
"I am a fully trained kunoichi," Janine said firmly, as she looked at Naruto over her shoulder.
"Finally, a legit ninja," Naruto said with a smile at this.
Janine lightly smiled at this as they entered a large room, which was an arena, that lit up and showed it had some spectator seats and a referee waiting.
"We will be using two Pokemon each, with no substitutes for me" Janine said as they walked onto the field, with Janine taking her place on one side, while Naruto took his place on the other.
Naruto nodded at this, as everyone else took their seats in the stands.
"Ladies first," Naruto said with a grin, as he waved his hand at Janine.
Janine nodded at this, as she took out a Pokeball and threw it, letting out a Toxicroak.
"A good one from the get go" Naruto said, as he looked at the Poison and Fighting Type, before he took out his own Pokeball and let out Scizor, who snapped his pincers.
"A Steel Type, huh. I see you're smart" Janine said with a firm tone.
"Don't let my good looks fool ya, I'm smarter than most blondes" Naruto said with a smile.
'Janine's Toxicroak vs Naruto's Scizor: FIGHT!'
"Feint Attack!" Janine ordered, as she looked at her Pokemon.
Toxicroak nodded at this, before she started to glow and shot at Scizor.
"Quick, dodge it and counter with Metal Claw!" Naruto yelled.
Scizor jumped just as Toxicroak was about to clash with him, and while in mid air, he swung his claw at Toxicroak and slammed it into his opponent's face, sending her skidding back.
"Now follow up with Slash!" Naruto yelled, as he pointed at Toxicroak, who was still stunned from the last attack.
Scizor quickly flew at Toxicroak, raising his claws ready to slash her.
"Mud Bomb!" Janine shouted out.
Toxicroak opened her mouth and spat a blast of mud into Scizor's face, before she dodged to the side, causing the Steel Type to crash into the wall.
"Wow, she's good," Misty said from her seat in the stands with the others.
"Yea, she is. Though I wonder what she's like in bed" Will said with a smile, as she checked Janine out.
Serena said nothing to this, but she reached over and slapped Will on the back of the head.
Scizor growled as he stood up and glared at Toxicroak, dusting himself off as he did.
"Calm down, Scizor. If you rush her, she's just gonna easily defeat you, before you can make a counter attack" Naruto said.
Scizor nodded at this, before he took a ready stance.
"Agility around the arena!" Naruto yelled, as a plan formed in his mind.
Scizor nodded at this, before he disappeared and started to run around the arena, leaving after images as he did, with Toxicroak trying in vain to keep an eye on him.
"Now grab her and hit her with a Hyper Beam!" Naruto yelled out.
Scizor then appeared behind Toxicroak as he grabbed her and slammed her into the ground, before he aimed his claw at her face, showing a charging Hyper Beam.
"Belch!" Janine yelled out to her Pokemon.
Toxicroak opened her mouth and made a loud belch, just as Scizor fired his Hyper Beam, which caused what looked like a massive explosion to go off, sending both Pokemon flying towards their trainers.
"Hey Scizor, are you ok?" Naruto asked, as he caught his Pokemon, who had swirls in his eyes.
["Don't take me out, coach! I can still play soccer"] Scizor said with a dazed tone.
"Toxicroak, how are you feeling?" Janine asked, as she caught her own Pokemon, who also had swirls in her eyes.
["Let's go again! Let's go again!"] Toxicroak said deliriously.
"Both Pokemon are incapacitated, so this match is a draw!" the referee yelled, as he held up his hand.
'Janine's Toxicroak vs Naruto's Scizor: Fight Over. Match ended in a draw!'
["What kind of attack is a loud belch?! Fixed! Fixed, I say!"] Kurama yelled from his seat in the stands.
"Hey, I'm actually impressed, and I want to know if I can use that move," Will said with a smile at this.
"Of course you are, and of course you would" May said with a sigh, as she shook her head at this.
"Rest up buddy, you did good" Naruto said to Scizor, as he returned him to his Pokeball, Janine doing the same with her Pokemon.
"Now it's down to one Pokemon each. Trainers, send out your choice," the referee said, as he looked at them.
Janine nodded at this, as she took out a Pokeball and threw it, letting out what looked like a purple moth.
"I should have expected a Venomoth. It's the signature pokemon of this Gym, after all" Naruto said, as he turned to look at Kurama. "Are you up for this buddy?" he asked with a grin.
["Alright! Let's do this!"] Kurama yelled, as he jumped out of his seat and ran over to Naruto's side.
"Don't think a type advantage will make this easy" Janine said, as she stood at the ready, along with Venomoth.
"Let the final round start!" the referee yelled, as he raised his arms
'Janine's Venomoth vs Naruto's Kurama: FIGHT!'
"Venomoth, use Toxic!" Janine yelled at her Pokemon, who quickly flew into the air and spat a blob of poison at Kurama.
Kurama quickly used his Agility to dodge around the blob of Poison, before he glared at the Poison Type, as it started to fly away.
"Cut off its escape with Fire Spin!" Naruto yelled.
["One roasted moth, coming right up!"] Kurama said, before he sent fire out of his mouth, which then started to spin around the arena, cutting off Venomoth's escape.
"Venoshock!" Janine shouted, as she tried to think of a way to win, hoping that this attack could help.
"Use Protect, and then follow up with a Blast Burn!" Naruto yelled out, as he punched the air.
A barrier soon appeared around Kurama, just as the attack struck him doing nothing to Kurama, who smirked in victory, before he opened his mouth and fired a massive fire blast at Venomoth, which struck him and caused a massive explosion, which sent dust and heated air flying in the arena.
"Uh, Blast Burn is a little overkill, isn't it?" May asked, as the dust cleared and they saw that Venomoth was on the ground, knocked out and covered in burns.
"I think they wanted to make sure they stayed down, seeing as they are trained to be sneaky" Misty said with a shrug, as Janine ran to her Pokemon to check on it.
The referee raised his arm, as Janine returned her Pokemon.
"Venomoth is knocked out, so the winners are the challengers!" the referee said, as he held out his arm to the side of the arena that Naruto and Kurama were on.
'Janine's Venomoth vs Naruto's Kurama: Fight Over. Winner: Naruto's Kurama!'
"Nice job" Naruto said with a smile, as he held out his fist to Kurama for a fist bump with one of his tails.
["Please, this was easy. The Psychic was a bigger challenge"] Kurama said with a smirk, as he fist bumped Naruto with his tail.
"You both are quite the team. I am honored to present you with the Soul Badge" Janine said to Naruto, as she held out the badge to him, which he took from her.
"And that's six" Naruto said with a smile, as he put the badge away.
"If you have six and are looking to get one that is more of a challenge for your Ninetales, then I would recommend the one on Cinnabar Island" Janine said, as she looked at Kurama with a knowing look, as while she couldn't understand him, she could tell he was not impressed with her Venomoth at all.
"Cinnabar is the legendary Fire Type gym, right?" Serena asked, as she approached them along with the others.
"Forget that! Hello beach resort trip!" Will yelled with a big smile on her face.
"Really?" Naruto asked with a raised eyebrow at this.
"Oh, so I take it that you don't wanna see us all in sexy swimwear?" Misty asked with a teasing grin.
"Plus, we could use the break after that mess with Team Rocket, Sabrina's Gym and now this one" May said, as she smiled along with Will at this idea.
["If this is a Fire Type Gym that's legendary, then we better go there. I want a challenge, damn it!"] Kurama yelled, as he waved his tails about.
"Ok, fine. We will head for Cinnabar next" Naruto said with a chuckle, as he knew that he was out voted on this now.
["Hey, maybe we'll find a Legendary Pokemon there, or maybe on the way"] Pikachu said with a grin.
"If you're looking to head for Cinnabar, I would recommend heading for the ferry at the docks," Janine said with a smile.
"Thanks for the help and the match, even if it was a little easy at the end. I'm glad you gave my Scizor a challenge at least" Naruto said, as he looked at Janine and nodded in gratitude.
"Yea, don't worry about the loss. Your Gym is in fantastic hands, so don't let your father being a piece of Tauros dung get you down" Will said, as she smiled at Janine, before she and the others turned to leave.
Janine nodded at this, as the group left the Gym.
P.O.M and Kfbanime87 were both relaxing in their office, when the world's most annoying migraine entered
OI! That's very offensive! Deadpool said
And quite true: Kfbanime87 said with a grin, eating a bag of chips
What do you want anyway, Wade? P.O.M asked, as he drank his soda
Oh, like you don't already know. The Ahsoka series is finally out! Deadpool yelled out excitedly
It took them long enough to put that show out, but I'll wait for all of it to be out before I watch it. I'm busy with other stuff: Kfbanime87 said with a shrug
Oh yea, your working on the next chapter for your teenage robot fic: Deadpool said with a happy tone
Wow, so soon? P.O.M asked with wide eyes
It was a big hit, so I'm striking while the iron is still hot: Kfbanime87 said with a grin
So how is Naruto gonna keep up with Jenny, hero wise? P.O.M asked curiously
He's gonna have his own weapons, but I'm not saying more than - Kfbanime87 was saying, before he was cut off
Oh, will he also have a mech suit? Or a giant robot sized Megazord? Deadpool asked
I'm going a more Ratchet and Clank route, you loon! Kfbanime87 yelled, as he pulled out what looked like the Sheepinator from said game series
Run away! I don't wanna be a sheep! Deadpool yelled as he ran away, by jumping out the window, breaking it since it was closed.
Wait, that's what it does? It turns you into a sheep? P.O.M asked with wide eyes
Oh sure, the Ratchet and Clank games gave all kinds of crazy and fun weapons and that's what I'm looking at for Naruto's weapons in my fic: Kfbanime87 said, as he made the weapon he was holding disappear
Well, at least you get creative: P.O.M said with a thumbs up
