Chapter 18

(With Naruto)

It had been half a day since the group had left New island after their encounter with Mewtwo and Mew and they were now just arriving back in Pallet Town. More specifically, at Professor Oak's house.

["OK, I'm taking bets. I have a hundred bucks that the old man had a heart attack seeing Mew"] Kurama said with a snicker, as they approached the front door of the house.

["That's a suckers bet"] Pikachu said with a grin, as he sat on Will's shoulder.

"Oh, I'm sure it's fine," Naruto said, as he rolled his eyes at the Pokemon's jokes.

"I'm gonna guess they are making jokes about the Professor's reaction to Mew and Mewtwo?" Misty asked curiously.

"Yea, yea. Laugh it up. Hey, old man! Have you seen what we caught -" Will said, as they entered the house before she was cut off

"Wilma Oak, you nearly gave me a heart attack! How in Acreus' name did you manage to catch Mew?!" Oak yelled, as he came out of the lab to greet his granddaughter.

"Uh, would you believe she befriended her?" Naruto asked with a sheepish grin.

"Don't get smart with me! You're in the same boat catching an undiscovered Pokemon?! What the heck did you send me?! It keeps giving me the stink eye, while Mew flies around, looking around the ranch!" Oak yelled out, as he looked at Naruto with a frown.

"Yea, Mewtwo has a bit of a trust thing with scientists," Naruto said with a sigh, as he ran his hand through his hair.

"Well, duh. He was cloned to just be a weapon and has no clue what a regular Pokemon should act like" May said, as she crossed her arms at this.

"Wait, a cloned Pokemon?!" Oak yelled, surprised at this revelation

"Yup, and we've got a cloned Pokemon each too" Serena said, as she gestured to herself, May and Misty.

"We will explain later, ojisan. But for now, we should check on Mewtwo and Mew" Naruto said, as he headed for the back door of the house, which led to the ranch outside.

(Outside)

Everyone walked out to the ranch, where they saw a massive field, lake and forest, where all kinds of Pokemon were either running around or sleeping.

"Wow, I didn't expect this kind of place, when you said that Professor Oak took care of your extra Pokemon" May said, as she looked around at the ranch.

"Yea, this place is the best, when it comes to Pokemon habitats" Naruto said with a smile, as he spotted some of his Pokemon.

"There you guys are!" Will said with a grin, as she ran over to her Pokemon, who were all relaxing in a meadow near a lake, before they all perked up seeing her approach.

Naruto smiled at his own Pokemon, before he spotted Mewtwo, who was floating on a nearby cliffside, away from the others.

["Yea, that one has real loner vibes"] Gengar said, as he floated near Naruto

"Have any of you tried befriending him?" Naruto asked his Pokemon curiously.

All of Naruto's Pokemom looked nervous at this.

["Kid, most Psychic Pokemon give off weird vibes and that guy is that, plus a hundred"] Scizor said with a shudder.

["Wuss"] Kurama said with a scoff.

["What did you call me, fluffy?!"] Scizor yelled out, as he glared at him.

["I didn't stutter, you metal cockroach!"] Kurama yelled back.

Scizor growled at this, before he tackled Kurama and they started to fight in a dust cloud.

"Oh boy" Naruto said with a groan, as he shook his head at this.

"So, I assume that you're here to do some training for the Pokemon League? Especially since it's only a few weeks away" Professor Oak said to Naruto.

"Yeah, that's the idea," Naruto said with a nod.

"Have you decided which Pokemon you and Will are going to use?" May asked curiously.

"No, not yet. But I don't think I'll use Mewtwo right away and Will shouldn't use Mew right away, either" Naruto said.

"Why not?" Misty asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Because we'll easily beat all the other trainers, of course," Naruto said, as he crossed his arms.

"Aw, but I was wanting to show off Mew to everyone right from the start" Will said with a pout.

"I'm saying we wait until we actually qualify for the main league, babe" Naruto said, as he sighed at this.

"Ahhhh, so they have real opponents to face. Ok, I can do that" Will said with a smile and a nod.

["What's a battle?"] Mew asked curiously, as she tilted her head in confusion.

This caused Will to freeze, while Naruto raised an eyebrow at this.

["Gahahahahahaha! You got the short bus Legendary!"] Kurama yelled, as he cackled madly at Will.

["What's that mean?"] Mew asked curiously.

"*He's calling you stupid*" Mewtwo said with a sigh, as he floated over to them.

Mew frowned at this, before she glared at Kurama, who was still laughing, before she was covered in a massive amount of electricity and shot it at him.

["Gaaaaahhhh!"] Kurama yelled out in pain.

"A Thunder attack? Quite odd for a Psychic type" Naruto said, as he raised an eyebrow at this.

"Not really, my boy. Legend says that Mew has the DNA of all Pokemon. So hypothetically, Mew should be capable of all attacks" Oak said.

"Ha! Let's see that Paul asshole have an answer for you" Will said with a smile, as she hugged Mew.

"So would that also count for Mewtwo, since he's a clone of Mew?" Serena asked curiously.

"*I prefer my Psychic attacks, as they have been enough for me so far*" Mewtwo said with a firm tone of voice.

["Hence why you lost to me"] Kurama said with a smirk.

Mewtwo's eyes narrowed at this, before they started to glow, causing a rock nearby to lift off the ground and throw itself into the back of the fox Pokemon's head.

["Gah! You punk ass!"] Kurama yelled at this, obviously not happy with this attack.

"OK, enough. We have a few weeks until the Pokemon League begins and we should get some training done before it starts" Naruto said to his gathered Pokemon.

"Same to all of you. We should also get Mew into fighting shape" Will said, as she looked at her Pokemon.

"Are you two going to train together or separately?" May asked them.

"Maybe separately would be best, in case they face off against each other," Misty said with a frown.

"Oh, relax. If we fight each other, it's not like we're gonna be immature about it" Will said, as she waved her hand dismissively.

["Since when? Gah! Cut the crap!"] Kurama asked, before Will stomped on his tail, making him yell in pain.

"This is gonna be a long few weeks," Naruto said with a sigh at this.

(A few weeks later)

A few weeks later, Naruto and his group were walking towards a massive stadium, which was surrounded by lots of stands filled with people and Pokemon.

"So, are you guys ready for this?" Serena asked Naruto and Will, as they looked around at everything going on.

"Ready or not, our training has been leading to this" Will said as she looked at Pikachu, who nodded at her.

"What time does it start? I want to have a go at some of these games and try some of the food" May said, as she looked at all the stalls set up in the area.

"OK, ok. Let's get me and Will registered first, then we can go look around" Naruto said with a chuckle at this.

Everyone quickly entered the stadium and approached the main desk, where a Nurse Joy was standing.

"Hello. Are you looking to register for your first qualifier match?" Nurse Joy asked with a smile at Naruto and Will.

"Indeed we are" Naruto said, as he and Will nodded at this.

"Qualifier rounds?" Serena asked curiously.

"In order to qualify for the Pokemon League, we need to first complete four qualifier matches" Will said, as she took out her Gym badges for Nurse Joy to scan, along with Naruto, who did the same.

"Wow, all of the founder's badges. That's rare" Nurse Joy said, as she scanned the badges, before she went back to typing on the computer and taking their Pokedex's.

"Are we the only ones that got those badges?" Will asked her curiously.

"Most trainers gather at least four of the founder badges, sometimes even six. If you two gathered all eight founder's badges, you should make it far in the League" Nurse Joy said, as she smiled at them, while handing them back their Pokedex's.

"So what are our first matches?" Will asked curiously, as she took her Pokedex back.

Nurse Joy typed at her computer, which caused a giant computer monitor behind her to light up, showing them what looked like a Fire, Water, Rock and Ice symbol.

"What are those for?" May asked curiously.

"These are the four arenas. You must win a match to qualify to enter the League. Now, Miss Oak, let's see which arena you will battle in first" Nurse Joy said, as the four arenas started to light up and soon, only one was lit up.

"It looks like I'm in the Rock arena first" Will said with a smile.

"As for you Mr Uzumaki, it looks like it's the Water arena for you. Also, you both will be limited to three Pokemon each, during the preliminary matches" Nurse Joy said with a smile.

"Here's hoping that you both have the perfect Pokemon for both arenas" Misty said to them, as they went to leave the desk.

"Well, we can go over possible teams while we get some lunch, while we wait to hear who we are facing," Naruto said as they left the building

"And then can we go play some games? Please?" May asked, as she did her best puppy dog pout.

"No problem" Naruto said with a smile at this, as he nodded at May.

(Later)

Later, the group were all in a restaurant, eating a meal together, as they went over ideas for who they were going to use for their matches.

"So, any ideas for who you're gonna use?" Serena asked Naruto and Will.

"We need to use Pokemon that can take advantage of the arenas we're fighting in," Naruto said, as he ate a burger.

"I could make a decision, if I knew who I was facing off against" Will said, as she swallowed some of her food.

As she said this, her and Naruto's PokeNavs started buzzing, signaling that they got messages.

"It looks like our matches are set for later today," Naruto said, as he looked at his message.

"Does it say who you're up against?" Misty asked curiously, as she drank her soda.

"Some guy named Mandi the Astounding" Naruto said with a shrug, as he read his message.

"And I'm facing Olivia in a rematch" Will said with a smirk at the message she got.

"Don't get cocky. She might have improved since we last saw her" Naruto said in warning.

"Oh, I'm counting on it," Will said with a grin at this.

["Looks like your benched"] Kurama said with a grin at Pikachu.

Pikachu scowled at this, while he drank from a ketchup bottle, as he knew he wasn't gonna be useful against Olivia, who primarily used Rock Types.

"This Mandi guy has a reputation as a pretty good trainer," May said, as she looked at her own PokeNav and looked over some information.

"Any idea what his Pokemon are?" Serena asked curiously

"You're lucky, as he is a well known show off, babe. He primarily uses an Exeggutor, a Golbat and an Arcanine" May said.

"Wait, that's it?" Misty asked curiously.

"Well, he's never had to use any other Pokemon, from what I can see" May said with a shrug, as she put away her PokeNav.

"Well, my match is first. So let's go get our Pokemon from gramps," Will said, as she paid the bill.

"You have your team picked?" Naruto asked curiously, as they all got up.

"Oh, most definitely. I'm looking to make an impression for my first match and no, I'm not gonna use She Who Shall Not Be Named" Will said, as she looked at Naruto, who was giving her a look.

"Good. Cause if you did, then I'd have to punish you" Naruto said with a nod.

["…..how is that incentive for her to behave - gah! That's abuse!"] Kurama asked, before Will stomped on his tails.

(Later)

Later on Naruto, Misty, Serena and May were sitting in the arena stands, while the Rock arena was being set up for Will's match.

"\OK everyone, we have another match here at the Rock arena!\" the announcer yelled out, getting cheers from the crowd.

Naruto and his group applauded at this, deciding to participate in the event a bit.

"\All the way from the Alola region, we have the lovely Olivia, who is looking to make an impression here in Kanto!\" the announcer yelled, as Oliva entered the arena, getting cheers from the crowd and a few catcalls from some guys

Naruto rolled his eyes at this, as this had happened when they had seen Olivia before.

"\And for her opponent, we have a newcomer from Pallet Town. Please welcome, Wilma Oak -\" the announcer was saying, before he was cut off.

"OI! I thought gramps sent you notes about using that name!" Will yelled out, as she walked into the arena.

"\R-right. Anyway, the granddaughter of Samuel Oak is here, along with her brother, who is also competing\" the announcer said.

Olivia smiled as she looked at Will. "I hope you don't expect this to be the same as last time" she said confidently.

"I hope not. I would hope you would have gotten stronger" Will said with her own confident smirk, as the referee approached the arena.

"Remember, you can only use three Pokemon, while substitutions are allowed" the referee said, as he looked at them both.

Will and Olivia nodded at this, as they both took out a Poke Ball.

"Begin!" the referee yelled, as he raised his arm and they both threw their Poke Balls.

In flashes of lights two Pokemon appeared; on Will's side Clefable appeared and on Olivia's side was a Steelix.

"\And it looks like Olivia is starting the match with a Steelix and Will has chosen a Clefable. Interesting choice\" the announcer said.

"That powder puff doesn't have a chance!" someone in the crowd yelled, before some laughter could be heard.

"Clefable, show them what you're made of" Will said with a smirk at her Pokemon.

["Glady"] Clefable said with a smirk of her own, as she punched her palm.

"Tackle" Oliva said with a smirk at this, as while she knew Will was a good trainer, she didn't expect much from the Fairy Type.

Steelix roared at this as it charged at Clefable and slammed its head into it. But the Fairy Pokemon held up her palms and caught the attack head on, causing her to be pushed back a bit and her feet to drag, leaving marks in the ground, before she stopped the giant steel snake.

"EEEEHHHH?!" everyone, except Naruto, Misty, May, Will and Serena yelled out in shock.

["My turn"] Clefable said with a mad grin, before her fists ignited in flames and she shouted, as she slugged Steelix in the face, sending him flying back and slamming onto his back.

"\What's this?! It looks like Clefable used Strength to catch her opponent and then used Fire Punch to attack!\" the announcer yelled out.

"Don't let him recover!" Will yelled at her Pokemon.

["That's the plan! Now, come here, metal boy! Let me show ya something!"] Clefable yelled, as she ran at Steelix and grabbed him by his tail, before she used Strength to pull on him and started to slam him against some rocks and the ground, effectively ragdolling the giant metal snake Pokemon.

"\Oh my goodness! It would seem that this Clefable is a thug!\" the announcer yelled out in shock.

["Damn straight I am! Gahahahahahaha!"] Clefable yelled as she laughed, as she slammed Steelix into the ground, smashing the ground beneath him.

"Now, follow up with a barrage of Fire Punches while he's down!" Will said with a grin, as she punched her fists forward rapidly.

Clefable jumped onto Steelix's head and started to rapidly slug him in the face with her fire ignited punches, before eventually…

SLAM!

Steelix slammed into the dirt, swirls in his eyes and was covered in burns.

["First Steel Type with a glass jaw I have ever fought!"] Clafable yelled with a grin at this, as the referee ran over.

"Steelix is unable to fight. This round goes to Clefable!" the referee yelled out, as he pointed at Clefable.

This got cheers from the audience, who started to applaud.

"Not bad for a first impression," Misty said, as she smiled lightly.

"\And after an impressive display of power, Miss Oak's Clefable easily beats Olivia's Steelix. I wonder how she will respond\" the announcer said, as Olivia returned her Steelix.

"Rest up Steelix" Olivia said, before she took out another Poke Ball and threw it, causing what looked like a wolf with white and red fur that stood on its back legs to appear.

"What the heck is that?" May asked with a raised eyebrow, as he didn't recognize this Pokemon.

Naruto took out his Pokedex and scanned the Pokemon in question, which showed up on the screen of the Pokedex. "\Lycanroc, the Rock/Dark Type Pokemon. This Pokemon goads its enemies into attacking, withstands the hits, and in return, delivers a headbutt, crushing their bones with its rocky mane\" the Pokedex said.

["Don't think you being a fairy will give you an advantage. I have trained to tolerate that weakness"] Lycanroc said with a grin at Clefable.

["Heh, we will see"] Clefable said, as she slugged her fist into her palm.

"Begin!" the referee said, as he swung his arm into the air.

"Mach Punch!" Will yelled, as she threw a fist forward.

Clefable shot at her opponent, her fists ready to go.

"Use Counter!" Olivia yelled out.

Lycanroc's body started to glow, just as Clefable's fist connected with him, causing the Fairy Pokemon to go flying back, as if slugged in the face.

"Are you ok?" Will asked, as she approached her Pokemon.

["I'm fine!"] Clefable said, as she shook her head slightly.

["Gahahahaha! Nice try with the Fighting Type move, cutie!"] Lycanroc yelled as he laughed.

["WHO ARE YOU CALLING CUTE?!"] Clefable bellowed out in a rage, as a dark aura appeared around her while fire appeared in her eyes.

"Oh jeez" Naruto said with a groan at this, as he shook his head.

Kurama burst out laughing at this, while Pikachu made a prayer motion for Lycanroc.

"OK Clefable, he's ready for Fairy Type moves and Fighting Type moves. So you know what that means" Will said, as she looked at her Pokemon with a determined look.

["Grrrrr, fine!"] Clefable yelled, as she held up her pointer fingers, which started to glow, as she moved them from side to side.

"\And here it is folks! Metronome! What will happen?!\" the announcer yelled out.

"Be ready for anything" Olivia said, as her eyes narrowed along with her own Pokemon, who nodded at this.

After moving her fingers a bit longer, Clefable then pointed her fingers forward, causing a flash to appear for a moment, before her head was glowing green, as a giant horn appeared on her forehead, as she shot forward at her opponent.

"Get back!" Olivia yelled out, recognizing this move as a big Type move, which Dark Types were weak against.

Lycanroc scowled at this, as he jumped back. But he wasn't fast enough, as Clefable slammed into him and sent him flying past Olivia, causing him to crash into the wall behind her.

["Ha! Not so cute now!"] Clafable yelled, as she threw some shadow punches.

["Ugh, what a woman"] Lycanroc groaned, as he struggled to his feet, before he fell forward and fainted.

"\And that's another of Olivia's Pokemon Clefable has beaten\" the announcer yelled out, as the crowd cheered and applauded at this.

Oliva sighed at this, as she returned her Pokemon, before she took out another Poke Ball and threw it, causing what looked like a dark blue Pokemon with a red nose and a red hat along with a beard to appear.

Will raised an eyebrow at this, as she took out her Pokedex, which scanned this new Pokemon. "\Probopass, the Rock/Steel Pokemon and the evolved form of Nosepass. It exudes strong magnetism from all over. It controls three small units called Mini-Noses\" the Pokedex said.

["Wow, that's a big honker"] Clefable said, as she panted for breath.

"Take a break buddy. I'm gonna substitute someone else for this one" Will said, as she took out her Poke Ball.

["Feh, fine"] Clafable said, as she was returned to her Poke Ball.

"\And we have a substitution! What Pokemon will Miss Oak choose nOK? to face Olivas final Pokemon?\" the announcer said, as the audience watched excitedly.

After thinking over her options, Will grabbed a Poke Ball and threw it, causing what looked like a Pokemon with two flowers on its head and a grass skirt to appear.

"A Bellossom? Interesting" Olivia said, as she lightly chuckled.

"I'm still surprised she and Gloom went with a Sun Stone, instead of a Leaf Stone" Misty said, as they watched Bellossom dance around for the crowd a bit, getting some cheers.

"Well, it makes sense. I mean, Bellossom has way better speed for avoiding attacks" Naruto said with a nod.

["Yea, Vileplume's are just big targets' '] Kurama said with a scoff.

"\And Miss Oak has chosen a Bellossom for this next match. Will it win her the match?\" the announcer said.

"I know you prefer not fighting, unless it's important. But this is an important match for me" Will said to her Pokemon.

Bellossom looked at the crowd, who was cheering and sighed at this. ["Very well. I may be a lady, but I'm not weak"] she said, as she did some hops to limber herself up.

"Watch yourself. This one may have some tricks" Olivia said to her Pokemon.

"Begin!" the referee yelled, as he raised his arm in the air.

"Poison Powder!" Will yelled, as she pointed at Probopass.

"Thunder Wave!" Olivia yelled out.

Probopass fired some waves of electricity at the flower Pokemon, who started dancing around the arena avoiding the attack, while letting loose some purple powder that filled the arena and clashed with Probopass.

"\And Bellossom seems to be quite the dancer, as she is avoiding Probopass's attacks, while filling the arena with Poison Powder. How is Olivia going to handle this?\" the announcer said, as Probopass winched in pain, as the Poison Powder affected him.

"Rock Slide!" Olivia yelled out.

"Keep avoiding and set up for plan A!" Will yelled, as she nodded at Bellossom.

Bellossom nodded at this, as she continued to dance around the falling rocks.

"What are they up to?" Serena asked Naruto curiously, as they continued to watch the match.

"You know what they're planning, don't you?" May asked Naruto with a knowing look.

Naruto smirked at this, as he looked up at the sky.

Kurama looked up at the sky too and paused, as he saw what looked like a bright sun beaming down. ["Ahhhh, I get it. Very clever"] he said with a smirk of his own.

Meanwhile, back with the battle, Bellossom continued to avoid the attacks from falling rocks. But eventually, her path was cut off by more rocks.

"Zap Cannon!" Oliva yelled, as she saw there was no escape for Bellossom.

"Ingrain!" Will yelled out, as Probopass fired the electric attack at her Pokemon.

Bellossom quickly ingrained some roots from her feet into the ground, just as the attack hit her, filling the arena with electricity, as the attack exploded.

When the attack cleared, Bellossom was still standing, but she was sparking slightly, as she looked annoyed.

"\Incredible! Miss Oak's Bellossom took the attack head on and is still standing!\" the announcer yelled as the crowd cheered.

"Well, duh. Bellossom is a grass type and is slightly resistant to electric attacks. Add in her using Ingrain to root herself to the ground and the attack did even less damage" Will said with a smirk, as she crossed her arms.

["Now it's my turn"] Bellossom said, as a massive amount of green energy quickly formed in her hands.

Seeing this, Olivia's eyes widened, before she looked up in the sky and saw the Sunny Day in the sky. "Get back!" she yelled at her Pokemon in warning.

"Too late! Fire!" Will yelled, as she pointed at Probopass, who winched from the Poison Powder.

Bellossom yelled as she fired the Solarbeam at Probopass, with the attack clashing against him and sending him flying, crashing into some rocks nearby.

And when the dust cleared, Probopass was on the ground with swirls in his eyes.

"\Probopass is knocked out! The winner is Will Oak! In a landslide victory!\" the announcer yelled out, as the crowd started to cheer loudly at this.

Will smiled at this, as Bellossom jumped into her arms, before they both waved at the cheering crowd.

"When did Will have Bellossom use Sunny Day?" Misty asked curiously.

"When Probopass was attacking with Rock Slide and Bellossom was dodging with her dancing, she used Sunny Day to set up for this" Naruto said with a grin.

"Well, it looks like Will made a good first impression" Serena said with a smile, as the crowd cheered

["If they liked that match, then just wait until they get a load of us"] Kurama said with a grin at this, as he and Naruto got up to go get ready for their match.

"You do realize that I'm not gonna use you, seeing as this match is in the Water field, right?" Naruto asked, as he raised an eyebrow at his partner.

["Oh, come on! I want a match, dammit!"] Kurama yelled as he looked at Naruto, clearly upset at being benched.

Naruto sighed at this, as he and Kurama made their way to the Water arena for their match, which was soon

P.O.M and Kfbanime87 were both relaxing at their desks, when all of a sudden….

It's finally here, it's finally here: Deadpool sang out, as he kicked the door open, by doing the can can, while repeating himself over and over again, before….

BANG!

He was shot in the head by Kfbanime87, who was holding a Colt Anaconda in his hand

What is he going on about now? P.O.M asked with a look of annoyance

I'm talking about the fact that Fairy Tail's 100 Quest season is finally here! Deadpool yelled out happily, as he stood up, with his head healing

Never read that. I mean, I heard that's kinda just meandering plot wise and doesn't really shake things up in a meaningful way: Kfbanime87 said with a shrug

Kill the heretic! Deadpool yelled out, as he took out his katanas

Will you grow up?! I didn't say you couldn't enjoy it! Hell, it's still better than anything the states has made lately: Kfbanime87 yelled, as he scowled at Deadpool

OK, ow, way to go for the jugular: P.O.M said, as he shook his head at this

What? it's the truth! Kfbanime87 yelled

So, after his choice, it's off to Earthland, correct? Deadpool asked P.O.M, while gesturing to Kfbanime87

That's correct: P.O.M said with a nod

Uh huh. So which new fanfic are you gonna do; Pokemon or Percy Jack -: Deadpool was asking, before he was shot in the head, again

I can't decide, damn it! Kfbanime87 yelled out
