Chapter 6: Settling In
Donald allowed M5-BZ to pilot the Ebon Hawk.
Donald: (Intercom) Gonna be a while till we get to the next worlds. Best we get situated.
Sora decided to walk around. He found Dolly setting up her hammock in the cargo bay.
Dolly: Hey Sora.
Sora: Hey Dolly. Just came by to see if you're doing well.
Dolly: (Unpacking her purchases) Yeah, I'm just sad about my family.
Sora: (Taking a seat on a stool) You really miss them, huh?
Dolly: (Digging out a dog collar) Yeah.
Sora: Taking a wild guess but your not really human, are you?
Dolly: (Putting the collar on) No. I'm actually a Dalmatian. I have no idea how this happened.
Sora: Well, gotta make the best of a bad situation.
Dolly: (Hanging Windsor's mouse up) I plan to. So who are Riku and Kairi?
Sora: My best friends. Before I woke up in that alley, I lost sight of them on my island. How about you?
Dolly: (Setting up a table) My mom and dad were at work when it happened. My brother, Dylan, was probably with the rest of our little siblings.
Sora: Your parents had more puppies?
Dolly: Aside from me and Dylan… 97.
Sora nearly fell off his stool.
Dolly: Thought that would surprise you. Mom and dad are the caring types. Mom is a nurse at the hospital and dad works at the fire department.
Sora: Pretty cool professions.
Dolly: Thanks. (Giving Sora Sparky's bag) Mind taking this to Sparky. It got mixed up with my stuff.
Sora: (Leaving) Sure.
Sora found Sparky looking around for his bag.
Sora: (Giving it to Sparky) Here's your bag, Sparky.
Sparky happily took the bag and found his Orange Ball intact as he brought out some string and tied it to his ball then hung it to the ceiling of his room.
Sora: You understand we'll have to use this room if one of us gets hurt, right?
Sparky: Ih.
Sparky took his music player and turned it on.
Sora: You're from Hawaii?
Sparky: Adopted.
Sora: (Kneeling) Yeah, I know that story. My friend, Kairi, was adopted too.
Sparky asked in his own way if any of them would find their homes again.
Sora: You are asking if any of us will see home again? (Seeing Sparky nod) I don't know if any of us will see our homes again. (Giving a comforting smile) But that doesn't mean we can't make the Ebon Hawk our home.
As Sparky smiled, secretly everyone heard Sora's idea of making the Ebon Hawk home. Sora found Doanld setting up an armory in the Storage Compartment.
Sora: Any trouble setting this up Donald?
Donald: Not really. Everything is organized perfectly. (Showing the organized setup) Everything is set up on power, size, and method.
Sora: Method?
Donald: (Pointing to respective shelves) Blasters and Wands are on the left. Shields and anything else are on the right.
Sora: (Bringing lightsaber out) Any idea if this should go into the armory?
Donald: (Examining it) Don't know.
Stone: (Coming up) Where did you find a lightsaber?
Sora: (Stone took it and started to inspect it) Lightsaber?
Stone: These were the weapons the Generals me and my fellow Clone Troopers fought side with used.
Stone switched it on and a red energy blade appeared.
Sora: Can you train us to use it?
Stone: (Unfolding it) Not here. (Turning it off) These things can slice through anything. When we're back in Traverse Town, we start training.
Sora followed Stone to his room. On the wall was an E-5 blaster rifle, hung up like a trophy.
Sora: (Seeing a lack of a bed) Not even a sleeping back.
Stone: No, thanks. All I need is a blanket and I can sleep in a chair.
Jiminy was finishing tying up a hammock for him to sleep in.
Goofy: (Coming in with a silver dish) Lunch!
Sora: Thanks, Goofy.
Goofy revealed Chili Cheese Dogs for everyone.
Goofy: Go ahead and eat. (Everyone taking one) We're going to need all our strength.
Everyone started eating and were enjoying Goofy's Chili Cheese Dogs.
Dolly: So much better than kibble.
Sparky: Yummy.
Sora: I vote we make Goofy our ship's chef. Any objects?
Nobody argued as a beeping was heard in the cockpit. Sora and Dolly went to check it and saw on the monitors that they were approaching a world. The monitor showed it as a red ball with green arches, large chess pieces shaped like a castle, and house under a tree. This was Wonderland.
Dolly: (As Donald came) That really another world?
Donald: A lot of Worlds take different forms. Some are alternate versions of Earths with respective solar systems designs, others are strange locations in themselves.
Sora: (Finishing Chili Cheese Dog) So, we'll be seeing different Earths and their solar systems?
Donald: Yeah. But I don't think we'll be able to see aliens all the time.
Dolly: (As Donald took a seat in the pilot's seat) Still would be pretty cool.
Donald brought them in for a landing.
