Chapter 9: Trickmaster
Sora and company returned to the forest as the Chesire Cat reappeared.
Sora: Have you seen Alice?
Dolly: Yeah, Tuna Breath. Spill.
Chesire Cat: Alice, no. Shadows, yes.
Stone: You mean the Heartless?
Goofy: Where did they go?
Chesire Cat: This way? That way? From where you start? Does it matter?
Sparky sparked his electricity in frustration as the Chesire Cat disappeared.
Dolly: From where we start? You think he means the Bizarre Room?
Donald: That's how we got to the Queen of Hearts' courtroom.
Sora: It's the best lead we have. Okay, we'll sneak around her Cards and get back to the Bizarre Room. But nobody attacks the Cards.
Stone: General's right. They're so focused on finding Alice, they won't notice us.
Everyone went back into the courtroom and stealthily snuck by the Cards. As they got near the door to the Bizarre Room, Dolly found an ordinary Ace of Spade playing card on the ground. Dolly took it as a souvenir. As they entered the Bizarre Room, the Chesire Cat appeared on the table. Sora jumped and climbed onto the table.
Chesire Cat: The shadows be here soon. Are you prepared for the worst? If not, too bad!
From the very ceiling came a giant Heartless. Its head had five sets of eyes & mouths, its paper-thin arms unfolded diagonally and brought out two flaming juggling pins, and its legs had two sets of knees going separate ways. This was the Trickmaster. It reached for the bottles and grabbed what the group could guess the growth bottle.
Donald: Hey! Give that back!
Dolly: (Drawing Yubashiri) I'm guessing he wants to fight.
The Trickmaster swung a pin at Dolly, but she blocked in time to stop the attack. Stone fired shots at it, but it barely phased him because of his size. The Trickmaster was about to step on Stone, but Sparky tackled Stone out of the way in time.
Stone: Thanks, Private.
Sparky: Welcome.
Donald: Blizzard!
Donald fired ice at the Trickmaster and it seemed to hurt him badly. Suddenly, Sora had an idea.
Sora: Donald, can you free this guy solid?
Donald: Yes, but I need time to prepare it.
Sora: Everyone, keep this thing away from Donald!
Everyone nodded as Donald prepared his spell.
Dolly: (Taking Goofy's hand) I need your help, Goofy. Stone, you and Sparky cover us!
Sparky turned into pure electricity and jumped into the WESTAR-34 blaster pistol. As Stone fired his shots, they were electrified.
Stone: (Firing) Wish we had more of you during the Clone Wars.
Dolly and Goofy climbed atop a counter.
Goofy: You got a plan, Dolly?
Dolly: I get onto your shield, you launched me, and I snatch the bottle.
Stone kept firing, but the Trickmaster grew mad. It stomped towards Stone but he fired and nailed its head, making it disoriented. Goofy took Dolly's arm, spun in placed, and launched Dolly at the Trickmaster.
Dolly: (Grabbing bottle) Yoink!
Dolly landed next to Stone as the Trickmaster came to. Furious, the Trickmaster stomped towards them. Just as he was about to hit them with his pin, Donald fired his spell.
Donald: BLIZZARD!
Donald nailed the Trickmaster and it was frozen from head to feet. Sora rushed at the Trickmaster and hit it with the Keyblade. The ice weakened the Trickmaster enough so that Sora's attack destroyed it. The noise was enough to wake the Doorknob.
Doorknob: (Yawn) What a racket. How's a doorknob to get any sleep?
The Doorknob yawned hard and a light shined from its mouth to reveal a special Keyhole. Sora's Keyblade reacted and fired some kind of beam at. The sound of a locked being closed was heard and the Keyhole vanished.
Donald: What was that?
Sora: You hear that? Sounded like something closed.
An item fell to the ground. It was a disc of some kind.
Goofy: What's that?
Stone: (Picking it up) It's a data disc. These things usually hold all kinds of stuff: Navigation Coordinates, Battle Plans, etc.
Dolly: Maybe Beezee can tell us what's on it.
Back on the table, the Chesire Cat appeared.
Chesire Cat: Splendid. You're quite the hero.
Dolly: (Growl) No thanks to you, Kitty Litter.
Chesire Cat: If you're looking for Alice, she's not here. She's gone! Off with the shadows, into darkness.
Sora: No…
Chesire Cat: (Voice only) But you won't leave empty-handed. Summon your weapon.
Sora summoned the Keyblade again, but it wasn't Kingdom Key anymore. The blade was pink with a Red Playing Card Spade for the teeth, Playing Card Clubs were the handle guards, and the keychain token was the Ace of Hearts Playing Card. This was the Lady Luck Keyblade.
Dolly: Cool, a new Keyblade!
Donald: We can admire it later! We need to leave so we can find Alice.
Everyone rushed back to the point where the Ebon Hawk was and boarded quickly.
Stone: (Giving disc to Beezee) Here. Decipher this then plug whatever's on it into the computer.
Beezee assured he'll get right on it as Donald flew them out of Wonderland.
