Chapter 25: Arabian Days
Before long, the Ebon Hawk arrived at the next world. Sora checked the computer for its description. All it showed was a palace on the top, a desert in the middle, and a cave in the shape of a lion at the bottom. This was Agrabah.
Sora: Gather your equipment, everyone. But leave all nonessential stuff and stock up on water. (To Dolly) Sorry, but Windsor needs stay here.
Dolly: I understand.
Everyone went to get supplies and stocked up on water. As they exited the ship upon landing, they entered the city of Agrabah. Meanwhile, Jafar was talking to Maleficent.
Maleficent: and the Keyhole.
Jafar: The Heartless are searching for it now. I'm certain we'll find it soon enough. So that just leave…
From the sky, a red parrot landed on Jafar's shoulder. This was Iago.
Iago: Jafar! I've looked everywhere for Jasmine. She's disappeared like magic!
Jafar: The girl is more trouble than she's worth.
Maleficent was unimpressed with Jafar's results.
Maleficent: You said you had things under control.
Jafar: Agrabah is full of holes for rats to hide in. But why worry about Princess Jasmine? With her or without her, surely this world will be ours when we find the Keyhole.
Maleficent remained firm to her plan.
Maleficent: We need all Seven Princesses of Heart to open the final door. Any fewer is useless.
Jafar now understood Jasmine's necessity.
Jafar: Well, if the princess is that important, we'll find her.
From behind Jafar, Heartless appeared. They wore a white turban and masks, silk clothing like Jafar's, and had scimitar swords. These were Bandits. Behind them were Large Bodies but dressed like the Bandits. These were Fat Bandits.
Jafar: Find Jasmine and bring her to me at once.
Maleficent: (As the Heartless left) Don't steep yourself in darkness too long. The Heartless consume the careless.
Jafar laughed, thinking he was too strong to be consumed.
Jafar: Your concern is touching, but hardly necessary.
Jamine was hiding in a market, watching the discussion. She wore her royal blue outfit and her black hair was tied back. She ducked back down, hoping help would arrive. Meanwhile, Sora and friends were walking through the city.
Stone: (Readying his long-gun) I don't like this. It's too quiet.
Sparky sniffed a stand and Bandit grabbed him. Sparky shocked himself free as more came from out of nowhere.
Donald: Ambush!
Sora and Hawk Squadron tried to hold their ground, but the Heartless just kept coming from all around them.
Sora: (Swinging Jungle King) There's too many of them!
Dolly was fighting hard when she saw Jasmine. She gestured to come her way.
Dolly: Follow me!
Everyone fought their way to safety as Jasmine led them to an abandoned building.
Sora: Thanks for your help.
Jasmine: You're welcome. I'm Jasmine. My father is the sultan of Agrabah.
Stone: That means you're a princess.
Jasmine: Yes, but my father was deposed by Jafar. He now controls the city.
Dolly: Sounds like he's trouble.
Jasmine: He is. He was my father's royal vizier until he gained evil powers and seized the city.
Goofy: Is that why it's so quiet?
Jasmine: Yes, but he's desperately trying to find something called a Keyhole. I've managed to evade being captured so far with his help, but I'm not sure how much longer I can manage without him.
Sora: Who?
Jasmine: Aladdin's. I hope he's okay.
Jafar: (Making everyone look above them) Now Jasmine, allow me to find you more suitable company, my dear princess.
Sora: Jasmine, run!
Jasmine ran off as everyone drew their weapons.
Jafar: (Summoning Heartless) Ah, the boy who holds the key.
Jafar left as his Heartless attacked the Squad. Everyone ran for higher ground as the Heartless attacked. They soon came into a house where a magic carpet was struggling to get free.
Sora: Stone, cover the door. Dolly, help me.
Sora and Dolly helped the Magic Carpet out. He flew around, trying to tell the group something, then flew off.
Donald: (Seeing where the Magic Carpet was heading to) It flew out into the desert.
Seeing no other opinion, everyone decided to follow it. Stealthily being quiet, the group managed to get out of the city. There, the Magic Carpet waited there and hovered in place, wanting them to get on.
Stone: Should we, sir?
Sora: Jasmine needs help and we're low on options.
Sora got aboard and the others followed. The Magic Carpet flew fast into the desert. It took the rest of the day for the Magic Carpet to arrive at the very lion-shaped cave from the computer. This was the Cave of Wonder. Nearby, sinking in the sand was a guy wearing a vest and rag pants & a monkey. These were Aladdin and Abu.
Sora: Hang on!
Out from the sand, Bandit Heartless raised from the sand like undead skeletons. Sora and friends knew Aladdin needed their help and rushed at the Heartless to get to him. Dolly grabbed Aladdin and managed to pull him and Abu out in time. But before anyone could get a chance to breathe, more Bandits with Fat Bandits came.
Goofy: Gawrsh, not again!
Sparky panted heavily from exhaustion. Aladdin, feeling he could trust them, brought out a special oil lamp.
Aladdin: Genie, get rid of these guys!
Out from the lamp, a giant, blue-skinned man with gold shackles on his wrist came out.
Genie: Wish number one, coming right up!
Aladdin: Everybody, duck!
Sora and friends ducked as Genie fired at the Heartless. Sora and friends got up and looked at Aladdin.
Aladdin: So… Who do I have to thank for my part on this rescue.
Everyone shared a good laugh, knowing that they could trust each other.
