Chapter 4: Fiery Will and Team JJR

As Jimmy annihilated the Grimm, he realized there were more than before. A chilling realization struck him—the Grimm weren't there because of anger or chaos. It was his conviction, the burning resolve he had shown the day before, that had attracted them. The sheer number of Grimm had gathered while he slept, drawn to the intensity of his will. This was his fault.

Turning back, he caught sight of the others and the blonde fighter, Yang. Instinctively, he began backing up, trying to formulate a plan. But the Grimm didn't give him time, attacking him relentlessly as he scrambled for a strategy.

Yang stepped in, activating her semblance. Absorbing the flames radiating off Jimmy, she launched a devastating punch, breaking the Grimm into dust. She stepped back, wincing slightly at the heat but grinning. "Hey, you owe me a date for saving you," she teased, brushing a burn on her arm.

A booming voice suddenly echoed in Jimmy's head.
"What a vixen. I mean, I thought I was powerful."

Jimmy groaned aloud, drawing confused stares. "WHHAAATTT? Why is it that I always hear you at the worst moments?"

Everyone, including the Grimm, paused and looked at Jimmy, who stomped his foot in frustration. Yang arched a brow. "Uh, what did you mean by that?"

Jimmy waved a hand dismissively. "Not you! Ugh… do you have a plan?"

The strong voice answered in his head:
"Yes, but it requires a sigil. Use flame Nova to trap the Grimm outside the circle. Otherwise, your allies will perish—their aura is too low to shield them."

Jimmy frowned. "That won't work! Using Nova could kill me. Why can't I use my normal power?"

"Because if you keep relying on it, you'll burn yourself out entirely. A sigil will be used no matter what."

"Fine! Listen up!" Jimmy shouted, grabbing Yang and throwing her toward the others before igniting flames to shield them. "I need twenty seconds! Blondie and Red Hood—take charge! When I give the signal, get as close to me as possible—within ten feet, but not closer than five."

Jaune's eyes widened. "Me? I've never led before!"

Ruby hesitated. "But I… I'm too young for this!"

Yang crossed her arms. "Wait—you told us not to get near you earlier. Why's it okay now? Did you get control?"

Jimmy shook his head grimly. "No. I'll be using something I only used once before… Fire Nova."

The group froze at the name. Jimmy continued, addressing Jane and Ranger. "You're the last defense. Jane, use your semblance to gather intel through your senses. Ranger, use yours to weigh down the big threats. Now go!"

Ruby quickly called Weiss and Blake to her side. "We need to act on instinct—block, dodge, and distract the Grimm while Yang finishes them off. I'll provide covering fire!"

Jaune, realizing the weight of leadership, took a deep breath. "Nora! Make the ground uneven and slow them down. Ren, take out any stragglers. Pyrrha, stay defensive and back up Ruby's team!"

The teams nodded, moving into action as Jimmy stepped forward, his blade glowing faintly. He raised it high and shouted:
"I wield, I pledge my flames to spread. Let me ignite my ancient prayer!"

Jane's eyes widened in confusion as she noticed glowing red lines forming a massive circle beneath Jimmy's feet. The flames around the group dissipated, leaving them exposed to the advancing Grimm.

The red lines twisted and pulsed as Jimmy continued his incantation:
"All who see flames as a gateway to both hell and heaven, burn all I see fit!"

Weiss glanced nervously at the glowing patterns. "What the hell is he saying?"

The lines merged into a shape—a strange beast with three clawed toes, a large head, and a single reptilian eye. Feathers adorned its back creating wings, and its presence sent chills down Blake's spine. Jaune noticed something strange—there was no heat radiating from the flames.

More circles began forming around the first—one with four large seeds, another with leaves and trees unfamiliar to them. Jimmy's voice grew louder:
"Silence those who seek death and bring peace to those in despair. Everyone, now! Get back here!"

Without hesitation, the group surrounded Jimmy as the Grimm hesitated, unnerved by the glowing sigils and the power radiating from him.

"Flame Nova!" Jimmy yelled, driving his blade into the center of the eye.

Blinding light engulfed the battlefield as a torrent of flames erupted. When the fire dissipated, only ash remained, covering the grass like a dark veil. The intricate circles remained etched into the ground, their eerie glow fading into silence.

"Umm… I hate to doubt you, but nothing's happening," Yang said, her tone skeptical.

The Grimm cackled, their guttural laughter echoing ominously.

"Don't move," Jimmy whispered sharply. "I haven't released it yet."

The Grimm began to close in, their eerie forms encircling the group. Even the flying Grimm landed, crawling ominously toward them.

"Okay, I really don't want to die here," Weiss muttered, her voice edged with unease.

"Not yet," Jimmy said, his voice firm.

The Grimm crept closer, nearing the glowing circle.

"Now. Close your eyes," he commanded. Snapping his fingers.

Flame pillars erupted from the outer circle with a deafening roar, engulfing the Grimm in a fiery inferno.

Far away, Professor Ozpin stood at the hill, scanning the horizon. His gaze darkened as he noticed ten students missing from his earlier tally. Suddenly, a massive pillar of flame shot into the sky, lighting up the distant mountains. From the fire, great wings unfurled, and a monstrous roar shook the cliffs.

Ozpin's eyes narrowed as he studied the creature, its reptilian eyes radiating strength. Unlike Grimm with their soulless red gazes, this beast seemed alive with purpose. Another roar reverberated, making the ground tremble.

"Should I assemble a team to investigate?" a woman asked from behind him.

"Yes… send one of the older years. I want you to go too," Ozpin replied, his tone serious.

Back at the battlefield, silence replaced the chaos. Nothing remained of the Grimm—only eleven people stood amidst scorched earth and ash. Even the trees were burned to cinders.

"Damn, when you said firepower, I didn't think you meant literal firepower," Yang said, shaking her head in awe.

Jimmy knelt on the ground, his blade resting heavily against his face, obscuring his expression.

"Wow! This is the power of the Flame Swordsman? I want to fight him!" Nora exclaimed, her excitement unrestrained.

"This shouldn't even be possible," Jaune murmured, his eyes wide. "He wiped out an entire army of Grimm…"

A dark red pool began to form beneath Jimmy, slowly spreading. No one noticed it at first.

"Can any huntsman really do that?" Ruby asked, her voice trembling with equal parts wonder and fear.

"Is this… is this what you've been doing? Is that what happened to our village?" Jane asked, her voice breaking.

"Guys, he's not moving," Ren said, his tone alarmed.

The group rushed forward, surrounding Jimmy. Blood dripped down his sword in thick streams, pooling at his feet. The blade's surface glowed faintly with a single, ominous mark. Jimmy's breathing was shallow and ragged.

"Jimmy!" Jane cried, panic rising in her chest.

He suddenly coughed violently, blood spilling from his mouth. His arms were riddled with holes, as if his very essence had been drained. Blood trickled from his ears, and his fingers twitched weakly.

Jimmy stumbled as he tried to stand, clutching his blade for support. His knees buckled, but he forced himself upright, swaying unsteadily.

"What's going on, Jimmy? Why is there so much blood?" Yang asked, trying to steady him.

Jimmy's voice was faint but steady. "It's the price… the price of using three sigils in one month. I only have one left. If I use it…" He paused, catching his breath. "I'll die."

Jane froze, her eyes filling with tears. "No… no, no! You can't! I just found you!" she screamed, her voice cracking.

"Calm down, Jane," Yang said, her voice firm but laced with concern. She turned to Jimmy. "Jimmy, you're not burning anyone anymore. Is it okay to head back? Can you move?"

He shook his head. "I have no aura left. I've got about ten minutes before the flames start to burn you all again."

The group fell silent, the weight of his words settling heavily on their shoulders. They could see the strain on Jimmy's face, the sheer effort it took to contain the volatile power within him.

"I have an idea," Weiss said suddenly, breaking the silence. "Your semblance—it's similar to mine. I use glyphs. Maybe you have something similar in your arsenal?"

Jimmy gave a weak chuckle. "Nope. I know exactly what's in my arsenal. I can use three prayers. One is Flame Nova—a destructive pillar of fire." His expression darkened as he continued. "The second is Annihilation Flame. It causes my sword to self-destruct, eliminating everything in a small radius. I used it yesterday."

He paused, his breathing shaky as his voice dropped to a whisper. "And the third… the final prayer… I can only use it once. I already did."

Tears began to well up in his eyes, and his voice broke as he continued, "I used it, and I might have brought the end of the world."

The group stared at him, stunned.

"What? What do you mean?" Blake asked cautiously.

Jimmy closed his eyes, the pain evident in his face. "A man forced me to use it. He was a Faunus. During my weakness, I awakened him."

"Who did you awaken? What does it mean?" Blake pressed, her tone laced with urgency.

Jimmy shook his head. "For now, I'll keep that to myself. Just know this: I used it less than a month ago. He still can't fully control it, so it'll be some time before he comes after me."

The group exchanged uneasy glances. Yang stepped forward and helped Jimmy to his feet.

"Okay, but you need medical attention. Losing that much blood isn't something you can just shake off," Ruby said, her concern obvious.

Jimmy looked at Ruby with a faint smile. "I like your red hair… and your silver eyes."

Before he could say more, Yang delivered a swift punch to his stomach.

"Hey! You're supposed to date me!" she teased, smirking.

The group laughed, even Jimmy, despite the pain. Slowly, he released himself from Yang's support and started to walk on his own.

They watched in surprise as he moved, stretching carefully despite visible discomfort.

"How are you even able to move?" Jaune asked, his voice filled with disbelief.

"I have an ability that allows me to regenerate," Jimmy explained. "Which means my aura will be returning soon. Though," he added with a wry grin, "the pain is unbearable."

"Damn, your aura is insane…" Jaune muttered, shaking his head in awe.

But as Jimmy spoke, Yang, Jane, and Ranger's expressions darkened, a quiet sadness settling over them.

Jimmy noticed. "You guys have a couple of minutes before I have to leave," he said, his tone soft yet resolute.

"Wait… why do you have to leave?" Ruby asked, stepping forward.

Jimmy glanced at her, gripping his sword tightly. "Red Hood, my power is dangerous. I need to find something before I can return to humanity."

"Okay, then let me help you!" Ruby said passionately. "You helped us, and Beacon could help you too!"

"No." His voice was firm, his gaze sharp as he locked eyes with her. He hesitated for a moment, his thoughts swirling. Silver eyes… they're just like the person I'm searching for.

"My mission is to find something on my own," he said, his tone final.

Jane's tears fell freely as she ran to Jimmy, throwing her arms around him. "No… not again. I can't let you go again. You died, and now you're back." Her voice cracked, her sobs muffled as his blood stained her clothes.

Ranger stepped forward, gently pulling Jane away even as she resisted. His usual calm demeanor was replaced with visible sadness.

In that moment, Ruby rushed toward them, hoping to console Jane. But before she could reach her, a Nevermore, one that had fled earlier, came diving back at lightning speed—its target was Ruby.

The massive creature swooped down faster than anyone could react.

"Jane! Run toward it and let me use you as a springboard!" Jimmy shouted, his voice sharp with urgency. "Ranger, use your semblance to reverse gravity for as long as possible!"

Without hesitation, Jane sprinted forward, positioning herself and crouching low. Ranger followed closely behind her, ready to activate his semblance. Jimmy ran at full speed, stepping onto Jane's waiting legs as she braced herself.

In one fluid motion, Jane pushed upward, launching Jimmy into the air. As he began to ascend, Ranger tapped him and activated his semblance, reversing gravity and sending him soaring higher. But it still wasn't enough to reach the Nevermore.

"Weiss! Help me get him up there!" Yang yelled.

Yang grabbed Weiss and, with the aid of her enhanced shotgun gauntlets, propelled herself upward, throwing Weiss above the tree line. In mid-air, Weiss summoned a glyph beneath Jimmy just as he began to fall, launching him even higher.

Jimmy soared through the air, his blade gleaming in the sunlight. With a powerful thrust, he drove his sword straight into the Nevermore's eye. Pain seared through his body as he unleashed his power. His flames surged violently, threatening to consume him, but he stood firm.

The Nevermore screeched in agony, its wings flailing as Jimmy reached into its gaping maw and pulled Ruby out. He shifted her onto his front, holding her securely.

"Trust me," Jimmy said, his voice strained but resolute. "I'm going to do something… and I need you to promise me something."

Ruby, dazed but clinging tightly to him facing his face, asked, "What do you mean? What promise?"

Jimmy didn't answer directly. Instead, he breathed deeply and forced his flames through his blade, muttering, "Ignite my strength." The flames surged with even greater intensity. This time, the heat didn't touch Ruby.

Holding her close, he struck the Nevermore one final time, obliterating it in a fiery explosion.

As the two began to fall, Jimmy's voice softened. "Promise me… find a girl with silver eyes named Ruby and tell her… her swordsman died today."

Ruby froze, her thoughts racing. "What? What are you saying? Why would you—"

But Jimmy cut her off, his gaze filled with a bittersweet sadness.

Ruby's mind reeled. Why was he looking for me? His words echoed in her head: Her swordsman… why?

As they plummeted toward the ground, flames erupted once more, *Ignite my wings of strength* surrounding them in a cocoon of fiery feathers. Ruby noticed something different—these flames didn't burn, instead they felt warm, almost protective.

Below, the rest of the group watched in awe as the fiery cocoon descended.

Jimmy, barely conscious, felt the groundclosing in. But something within him surged to life. Flames burst from his back, forming wings that shimmered like feathers. With immense effort, he spread his newly-formed wings and carried himself and Ruby in his embrace into the air.

As Jimmy and Ruby descended, his speed slowed, but their landing was still harsh. They crashed into a tree where Jimmy's back was against it, the force jarring both of them. Ruby managed to pull herself up and turned to Jimmy. Blood continued to flow from his wounds, and his sword, faintly glowing, was starting to crack.

"Are you alright?" Ruby asked, panic in her voice.

Jimmy's breathing was labored, his strength fading fast. He managed a weak smile and whispered, "Please... tell her..." His eyes closed, and the sword at his side began to splinter, glowing dimmer by the second.

Ruby stared at the blade, realizing its connection to Jimmy. As the final symbol on the sword fading, the cracks spread faster. The truth hit her like a ton of bricks—his life was tied to the weapon, and he was dying.

She screamed for help, her voice filled with desperation.

The rest of the group arrived moments later. Yang, Weiss, and the others rushed to Ruby's side, seeing the condition Jimmy was in.

"What's wrong?" Yang asked urgently.

Ruby pointed at the crumbling sword. "He's dying! We need to find help—NOW!" Her voice broke as tears streamed down her face.

Pyrrha carefully lifted Jimmy while Yang and Nora tried to pick up the blade. Its weight seemed unnatural, and they needed Jaune's help to carry it. They hadn't gotten far when a bulkhead airship descended from the sky, landing beside them.

A voice called out from inside. "Get in, now!"

Without hesitation, the group loaded Jimmy and his sword into the bulkhead. The sword, now half-broken, seemed to grow lighter with every passing moment. Tears welled in everyone's eyes as they realized how dire the situation was.

Ruby clutched Jimmy's hand, her mind replaying his last request: Tell her... She didn't understand what he meant, but the weight of his words crushed her.

As the airship took off, a strange phenomenon occurred. Deep within a distant forest, a guardian tree stirred for the first time in years. A girl with a golden dress and flowing green locks emerged from it, her dress shimmering with light. In a blink, she transformed into a wisp of energy and disappeared—heading straight toward Jimmy.

Onboard the bulkhead, the medical team worked frantically. Jimmy's heart rate slowed, and his blood loss seemed unstoppable. They prepared to make an incision to relieve the internal pressure when the wisp materialized into the form of a young girl.

The girl raised her hand, stopping the medics in their tracks. "Wait. I'll ensure he survives. He found her."

Her aura flared, radiant and green, and she placed her hands on Jimmy. Energy flowed from her into his body, his heart rate stabilizing. His wounds began to heal, but the sword continued to crack, its condition worsening by the second.

Ruby, still holding the blade, cried out. "His sword—it's connected to him! He's still dying!"

The girl turned to her and smiled gently. "Don't worry. His sword will be fine. It's not even his true blade."

Before Ruby could ask what she meant, flames engulfed the sword. The energy redirected into Jimmy's body, causing his aura to return. His wounds healed rapidly, his breathing steadied. She got up and looked at him.

"So, how long are you going to stay inside his soul, great beast?" the girl asked, looking at Jimmy's motionless body.

"What do you mean?" Pyrrha asked, her confusion mirrored by the others.

Golden-blue flames erupted from Jimmy, taking the form of a massive beast. It towered over everyone, its reptilian eyes glowing with power.

The beast spoke, its voice resonating with authority. "I know my task is finished, but he still needs time to recover. His strength is too low."

The group stared in awe and confusion as the beast continued. "He nearly killed himself. If things had gone worse, this could've been catastrophic." It turned to the girl. "I will grant him his true blade now that he has found her."

With that, the beast's form dissolved into flames. When the light faded, a new sword stood where the old one had shattered. Its sleek, fiery-red blade gleamed, adorned with a feathered guard and a gemstone resembling a reptilian eye.

The girl smiled, satisfied. "It is done."

Everyone marveled at the new weapon as the girl turned to Jane and Ranger. "It's been too long," she said softly.

The two stared at her, baffled. "I'm sorry, but... do we know you?" Ranger asked.

Jane tilted her head. "Why do you look like Jimmy's mother and father?"

The girl chuckled. "Visit me next month," she said cryptically before turning to Ruby. "Please, give this to him when he wakes up."

She placed a small object in Ruby's hand and closed her fingers around it. Ruby opened her hand, revealing a bright red apple.

"Yang, Jaune, and Ruby... please be his friends. He's been alone for so long," the girl said, her voice tinged with sadness. She glanced at the rest of the group. "You're all invited as well. Tell my brother I have returned and will watch over the village."

With that, she transformed into a green flash of light, leaving behind a faint wisp that disappeared into the air.

Jane's voice broke the silence. "The village doesn't exist anymore... but I think she already knew that."

Jimmy's breathing finally steadied. The group looked at Ruby, who held the apple tightly.

"What did she give you?" Ranger asked.

Ruby held up the apple, its surface glowing faintly. Jane and Ranger exchanged a glance, recognition dawning on their faces.

They both whispered in unison, "I think I know... and where she came from."

As the airship steadied its course, the medical team confirmed Jimmy's vitals were stable. One of the crew turned to the group. "Now that he's stabilized, we're taking him to the hospital for further treatment. The rest of you will be dropped off at Beacon Academy. I advise you to deliver your relics to the headmaster."

The group went silent for a moment, realization dawning on Ruby. "The relics... we forgot about them! There was an army of Grimm, and we completely forgot!"

Nora grinned, pulling out a small box. "You mean these?"

Ren blinked. "When did you take those, Nora?"

"When Jimmy was bleeding out. I thought it'd be okay since there were only five pieces left," Nora replied cheerfully.

The group shared an exasperated look but each took a piece, with Ranger picking up a black pawn. They disembarked at Beacon, leaving Jimmy in the care of the hospital.

At the Ceremony

Following the induction ceremony, Team RWBY was officially announced. Afterward, the headmaster called for Jane and Ranger.

"You should know," the headmaster began, "that the two of you are the only remaining members of your original team. Due to your circumstances, it's difficult to name one of you as leader. However, the Flame Swordsman has officially been registered at Beacon, and the three of you will form a team with him as leader."

The room fell into stunned silence.

Ranger hesitated, stepping forward. "I'm sorry, but he won't stay. He hasn't completed his mission."

Ruby interjected, her voice steady. "Actually, he has. And... his power might be under control now."

Jane turned to Ruby, suspicion in her eyes. "How would you know that? He told me he needed to find something, and I know you're supposed to give him an apple."

Ruby's response shocked everyone. "He was looking for a girl with silver eyes named Ruby. I think... the little girl awakened because of me. I believe I can help him."

Gasps filled the room. Yang grabbed Ruby by the collar, her voice shaking. "What do you mean? Did he tell you that?"

Ruby nodded. "Yes. He told me he was looking for a girl. And... they said he found her."

Yang released Ruby, her expression softening as she processed the revelation. A small smile appeared on her face. "Let's go see him," she said, a faint blush creeping onto her cheeks.

At the Hospital

Jane quickly called her mother, Monica, to update her on the situation. "Mom, meet me at the hospital. Something's happened, and I need you to come as soon as possible."

Monica's voice was firm. "I'll be there in ten minutes."

She rode her motorcycle toward the hospital, her mind racing. She remembered the massive pillar of flame she'd seen earlier. No one else had reacted to it, but she'd felt the overwhelming strength behind it. As she approached, she saw a bulkhead leaving and spotted Yang standing outside.

"Yang! What's going on? Jane called me, and I'm worried," Monica said, parking her bike.

Yang hesitated, her usual confidence replaced by unease. "Hey... yeah, something happened. But... just be prepared, okay?"

That only heightened Monica's concern. As she entered the hospital, she saw Jane and Ranger, along with Ruby and a few others she didn't recognize. Jane ran into her arms, tears glistening in her eyes.

"Ranger's okay, Ruby and Yang are okay... What's going on?" Monica asked, her tone demanding.

Ranger stepped forward. "It's Jimmy," he said quietly.

Monica froze, her expression darkening. "Jimmy's dead. What does he have to do with this?"

Ranger met her gaze without flinching. "He's alive. He's the Flame Swordsman."

Monica's eyes narrowed as she stepped forward, moving Jane aside. Her voice dropped to a dangerous tone. "I'm going to ask this once, and you'd better not lie to me. I'm your guardian, and Jane is my daughter's friend. Jimmy is dead. I couldn't protect my best friend's son. Now, tell me the truth."

The air grew tense, the experienced Huntress's presence commanding silence. Despite the pressure, Ranger stood firm. "He is here. And he's recovering."

Monica's fierce demeanor softened slightly. She glanced around, reading the fear and conviction in everyone's faces. "Have you seen him since he arrived?"

They all shook their heads.

She sighed, moving to the reception desk. "I need a blood test run on the Flame Swordsman. I believe I know who he is, but I need confirmation. As his guardian, I'm authorizing this."

The staff complied, nodding in agreement.

Jane looked confused. "Blood test? I thought you believed us."

"I do," Monica said, her tone softening. "But I need proper confirmation. And besides..." She hesitated, realization dawning on her. "I can use my semblance to confirm it myself."

"What?" Yang asked, startled. "I thought your semblance was a type of radar."

"It is, but I can also detect specific auras. If I focus, I'll find his. His aura is... unique."

Closing her eyes, her semblance flared with a bright purple glow. She scanned the hospital, feeling the various auras around her. Her senses briefly paused on Jaune, surprised by the vast, untapped power within him, but she refocused. Moving further, her senses reached deeper into the corridors until they stopped abruptly.

Her breath hitched as she felt it—a powerful, fiery aura that could only belong to one person. It was different, stronger, but unmistakably his. Tears welled in her eyes as she opened them, overwhelmed by the confirmation.

"How is he alive? Why didn't he come to us?" Monica asked, her voice filled with both confusion and sorrow.

Yang stepped closer, her expression serious. "Because his power burns everyone near him."

Monica's gaze softened as she looked at Yang, her understanding deepening. They all waited quietly in the hospital room, tense as they anticipated the doctor's report.

When the doctor finally emerged, he shared the news: "The DNA results confirm it's him, and he's stable, but he's in a coma. You can visit, but only four at a time."

Monica, Jane, Ranger, and Yang entered the room. The steady beeping of the heart monitor provided a fragile sense of reassurance. Jimmy lay motionless, his face pale but peaceful. His arms were wrapped entirely in bandages, evidence of the immense strain his body had endured. His sword, propped against the wall near his bed, glowed faintly, one wing-like sigil shimmering softly.

Monica observed the sword and Jimmy's aura, which had shifted subtly into something lighter. Only she could notice such changes, and this detail solidified the truth in her heart—it really was him.

Yang moved closer to his bed, her eyes drawn to his messy hair, still streaked with dried blood. "He really needs a haircut. I'm definitely making sure of that," she said with a faint smile.

Jane, sitting on the edge of the bed, smirked. "I agree, Yang. When you met him... did you really fall for him?"

Yang's cheeks flushed slightly as she laughed. "Oh, yeah. He definitely gave me a run for my money. He almost broke my ankle. What got me was his kindness. Though he kept saying, 'You're not my type,' and even told me I was too blonde."

Monica chuckled. "Weird. He was blond when he was born. Almost platinum."

The room went silent, surprise evident in everyone's expressions.

Jane nodded. "She's right. His hair started to darken when he was six. I'd almost forgotten about that."

Yang's blush deepened. "Guess us blondes have to stick together, then," she teased, brushing a stray golden strand from her face.

Monica's expression softened as she looked at Jimmy. "Never mind that—he's alive, and I can finally keep my promise to his parents." Her tone shifted, growing sharper as she turned to the others. "Now, tell me everything that happened."

The trio recounted the events: the army of Grimm, Jimmy's body nearly breaking as he used the sigils, the mysterious girl who appeared, and her invitation to visit.

Jane added thoughtfully, "I think she might've been the Guardian Tree from our village."

Monica considered this, nodding. "If that's true, we'll need to tread carefully. But my next question is—why was Jimmy looking for Ruby?"

Yang crossed her arms, frustrated. "If I'd known, I would've introduced them sooner."

Jane suddenly remembered something. Digging into her bag, she pulled out a red spotted, old-looking scroll.

"You kept that?" Ranger asked, surprised.

Jane nodded, powering it on. She navigated to the aura monitoring screen, hovering over Jimmy's profile. His aura was faint yellow, barely out of red.

Yang leaned closer. "Wait... is that his scroll?"

"Yep! It's still linked to him. I shut it off permanently after I got it back." Jane smiled but grew uneasy as Monica's expression darkened.

"This isn't right," Monica said. "His aura hasn't increased. He's been stable for hours, but his aura's barely moved. That's not normal."

The realization hit them all like a cold wave. Something was indeed wrong.

Their attention turned to the sword, its faint wing-like sigil glowing weakly.

Monica spoke firmly. "If he was looking for Ruby, then she might be the key to helping his aura stabilize. I also think Jaune can help. Jane, Ranger, I need you to bring them both here."

The two nodded and left the room, returning moments later with Ruby and Jaune in tow.

Ruby's silver eyes locked onto Monica and Yang. "Are you okay? The doctor said he might be in a coma for a while."

Monica stepped forward. "If the girl was right, and Jimmy was looking for you, you might be able to stabilize his aura. His aura isn't regenerating as it should, and I need to make sure he can draw power again. That's where Jaune comes in."

Jaune's eyes widened in confusion. "Me? But I don't have much aura."

Ruby tilted her head thoughtfully, glancing at the sword. Something about its faint glow seemed to call out to her.

"Come here, both of you," Ruby said softly. Yang and Jaune exchanged glances before stepping closer to the sword.

Ruby stared at it, her mind racing. "This blade... it's more than just a weapon. It's part of him."

Yang hesitated. "Ruby, do you really think we can wake him up?"

Ruby didn't answer immediately. Instead, she placed a hand on the hilt, the faint warmth of the sigil spreading through her fingers.

"I don't know," Ruby finally said, her voice trembling slightly. "But I think we have to try."

"Maybe," Ruby murmured, her voice trembling, "but I need both of you." She glanced again at the blade, her hand hovering near the glowing gem in its hilt. But then, as if shaken by an unseen force, she stepped back.

Yang and Jaune exchanged a confused look. "Ruby?" Yang asked.

Ruby's eyes darted around the room, fear etched on her face. "Something's... watching us."

Despite her hesitation, she steadied herself. "Touch the blade," Ruby instructed, her voice more resolute now. "Focus your auras into it."

Yang and Jaune each touched the sword's blade while Ruby pressed her hand against the gem embedded in it. All three activated their auras. But as their energy poured into the weapon, something unexpected happened.

The world around them dissolved into darkness.

Ruby, Yang, and Jaune awoke in an otherworldly realm. The sky above was black as night, streaked with faint tendrils of smoke. Flames licked at the landscape, illuminating charred trees with leaves of fire. The ground below was only ash, with rivers of molten lava bubbling beneath their feet.

Ruby stepped forward cautiously, only for Yang to grab her arm and pull her back just as the edge crumbled, revealing a searing lava pool below.

"Okay, it's hot here," Yang muttered, wiping sweat from her brow. "Where are we? This place feels... familiar, like the Emerald Forest—but not."

Jaune approached one of the smoldering trees. His fingers brushed against the trunk, and his expression hardened. "Guys... this isn't wood. It's rock."

Ruby and Yang ran up to him, realizing he was right. The blackened trees were petrified, their burning leaves defying nature.

"So, is it just me, or shouldn't we be dying of thirst by now?" Ruby asked nervously.

Before anyone could answer, a shadow shifted across the flames. Yang stiffened. "I've got a bad feeling... something's here, and it's watching us."

A deep, rumbling voice echoed through the realm. "Ah, humans. Always so interesting. Instead of fear, you show defiance. You prepare to fight even when you have no hope of winning."

The three spun around, fists raised defensively.

Ruby stepped forward, her voice steady despite her fear. "Show yourself!"

The voice chuckled, its tone mocking. "I see why he sought you out, girl with silver eyes. You crave knowledge, don't you?"

Ruby's grip tightened. "What are you talking about?"

The voice ignored her and turned its attention to Jaune. "You. A hero in the making, driven by fear of death. Hah! You're pathetic."

Jaune flinched but held his ground. "I just want to protect people."

"Protection born of fear," the voice boomed. "You disgust me."

Then it turned to Yang. "And you. Strength through rage. You take what you need to protect your pack. But you know nothing of true power."

The ground shook violently as the figure emerged from the shadows, revealing itself. What had once been a dinosaur-like creature—smaller and more manageable—now towered above them, its feathers glowing like molten metal. It was impossibly massive, dwarfing the skyline of any city they had ever known.

Yang's bravado faltered. "Okay, yeah. I give up," she muttered, raising her hands in mock surrender. She turned to walk away but froze when the beast growled.

"Who said you could leave?" it rumbled, and she quickly sat down, muttering under her breath.

The beast resumed its towering stance. "You came here seeking to restore his aura, to awaken him. I understand. But he is already here, in this realm. His aura is so weak he must meditate to survive. He is... recovering. But I can awaken him—at a price."

"What kind of price?" Ruby asked, her voice sharp.

The beast's fiery eyes bore into her. "I will take your auras to awaken him. But he will not remember this. He cannot. If you speak to him here, the conversation will fade from his mind the moment he wakes."

"Then what's the point?" Yang demanded.

The beast's feathers flared. "It is not about memory. He must accept your strength. I cannot force it upon him. If he does not accept, his power will consume him."

Ruby frowned. "So... it's his pride stopping him?"

"No," the beast said firmly. "His pride is strong, but it is not the issue. I am his power. And with access to my strength, his mind and soul are at risk. The flames he wields are mine, and they come at a cost."

Jaune's expression hardened. "So... the more he uses your power, the more it corrupts him?"

The beast shook its massive head, smoke curling from its nostrils. "Not corruption—imbalance. The flames amplify emotions, thoughts, desires. Do you understand the chemical reactions in the brain?"

Yang nodded slowly. "Yeah... like testosterone. It boosts strength but can also cause aggression."

"Precisely," the beast replied. "My flames magnify his inner stronger emitions. If he cannot control himself, they will overwhelm him."

Ruby glanced at the others, determination in her silver eyes. "Then we have to help him find balance. Whatever it takes."

"That's what he gains when he uses this power—I am the being within to help maintain it," said the beast, its voice resonating deeply.

"You were put here?" Ruby asked, her silver eyes narrowing in curiosity.

The beast shook its massive head. "No, I was not placed here. I have always been a part of him. But he could not access my strength until he fulfilled a requirement."

"What requirement?" Jaune asked hesitantly, his voice tinged with unease.

The beast fell silent for a moment before speaking. "Please, don't be angry... but he needed to take a life to gain the strength. He killed his mother."

A collective gasp escaped the trio, their fear and confusion palpable. The weight of the revelation settled heavily on their shoulders.

Ruby, however, steadied herself and asked softly, "Why? Why would he do that?"

The beast's expression softened slightly, a rare flicker of compassion. "To free her from pain."

The trio froze, understanding dawning on them. They knew of the Grimm attack and the toll it must have taken. "He... had to save her," Ruby whispered, her heart aching for Jimmy.

The beast's gaze shifted to Jaune. "There is something you should know," it said.

Jaune straightened, his nerves clearly on edge. "What is it?"

"You might gain more power soon," the beast said. "But you must first work on yourself before you can receive it."

Jaune's face lit up with excitement. "I'll be able to use flames? That's awesome!"

The beast snorted, amused by Jaune's enthusiasm. "No. You are far too weak-willed to wield my flames."

Jaune's cheeks turned crimson with embarrassment as Yang burst into laughter. "Oh, man, that's harsh," she teased.

"It's time for you three to see Jimmy," the beast announced, gesturing for them to follow.

As they walked, the flames around them gradually grew weaker, the oppressive heat fading. Soon, they found themselves standing before a vast expanse of sea and forest. In the distance loomed an enormous structure, unlike anything they had ever seen, its towering pillars radiating an ancient, unknowable power.

The beast stopped at the edge of the flames, turning back toward the fiery lands. "This is as far as I go. It's now your turn," it said before retreating into the inferno.

The trio stood at the border. Behind them, the blackened sky of the firelands stretched endlessly. On each side and it was divided, the sea and forest shimmered under a bright, serene light.

"Wow," Yang said, taking in the view of the beach near the never ending sea. "This place is... amazing. We should ask where we are."

Ruby's gaze was fixed on the massive building. "Do we know any culture that built structures like that? It's huge—and look at those double doors."

Jaune shivered, glancing toward the forest. "I don't know about you guys, but that forest is creeping me out. It feels like a thousand eyes are staring at us."

Ruby and Yang joined him, feeling the weight of unseen gazes as the forest seemed to pulse with life.

Ruby took a deep breath, rallying their focus. "Okay, enough sightseeing. Our goal is to wake up Jimmy and get him to accept our auras."

They approached a small table where Jimmy sat cross-legged, his hands pressed together in a meditative prayer. His outfit was strange: a large cloak of shifting colors of black and white—while purple, gold twisting into an intricate pattern. While sleeves had blue lines wrapping around. Two swords rested by his sides, their blades alternating black and white trying to consume each other with faint blue lines tracing their edges.

Yang tilted her head, intrigued. "He looks so... peaceful. But, uh, what's with the outfit? And the swords?"

Yang stepped closer to the table. "Jimmy? Wake up!" she called, her voice firm.

Nothing.

"Well, that didn't work," Yang muttered.

Ruby climbed onto the table, leaning closer. "Jimmy, please... wake up," she said softly in his ear, her voice filled with warmth.

Jimmy shifted as the sky changed then reverted back slightly but resumed his meditation. "Almost," Ruby sighed.

Jaune approached next, muttering an apology before kicking the table lightly. He yelped as a sharp pain shot through his foot. "Ow! Don't kick the table!" he warned, hopping on one leg while Ruby and Yang tried not to laugh.

Yang smirked. "My turn." She climbed onto the table, balancing carefully on its unsteady surface. Looking down at Jimmy's calm, focused face, an idea crossed her mind. Without hesitation, she leaned down and kissed him.

The world around them shook violently, the skies above merging and swirling. Colors clashed as light and darkness fought for dominance.

As Yang pulled back, Jimmy stirred, his body shifting as his legs uncrossed. The sky returned to normal. He stumbled slightly but caught himself, blinking in confusion. "Um... where am I?" he asked, his voice groggy.

Jaune stepped forward. "That's what we'd like to know. We poured our auras into your sword, and the next thing we knew, we were in the fire plains over there."

Jimmy looked down at his attire, his brow furrowing. "Strange..." He examined his heavy boots, very simlair cloak, and the two swords by his side. "This isn't what I usually wear, as this form isnt the same one" he muttered.

Yang, still sitting on the table, blushed slightly as she watched him.

Jimmy turned to her, a flicker of curiosity in his eyes. "So... how did you wake me up?"

Yang averted her gaze, her face turning crimson. "No reason. Hey, we need to give you more power to wake up your real body," she said quickly, brushing off the question.

Ruby and Jaune exchanged amused glances as Jimmy scratched his head, clearly still piecing everything together.

"Okay, blond bombshell, I don't think it's a good idea. Last time this happened, I accidentally gave someone something I shouldn't have," Jimmy said with a wary expression.

Ruby crossed her arms, her expression thoughtful. "If you know how it happened the first time, then just don't do it."

"Redhood, you're right. I think I can do it, but the thing is, if I do, I'll get overwhelmed by your emotions," Jimmy warned, his voice tinged with concern.

"That's a risk we have to take," Jaune said, trying to stay calm. "I mean, you won't remember this conversation, anyway."

"I see..." Jimmy sighed. He turned to Ruby, his eyes softening. "Hey, Redhood?"

"Yes?" Ruby responded, a little confused by the sudden shift in tone.

"I just wanted to say something before I forget... You're really cute. I love your hair." This time, Ruby's cheeks flushed a deep red, and Yang felt a pang of jealousy in her chest.

"Hey, how did I survive, by the way?" Jimmy asked, his voice tinged with curiosity.

Ruby smiled, trying to keep her composure. "Oh, we think the guardian tree came and saved you."

"The guardian tree... Yeah, she called me 'brother' once," Jimmy smiled softly. "Well, I hope she got me an apple. I love the ones she gives me. My dear sister."

Ruby smiled warmly in return, her heart swelling with empathy for Jimmy. But then, he turned to her, gripping her hand tightly.

"Can you find Ruby for me? I can't ask you on the outside myself, but maybe you can. I need her help," he begged. The urgency in his voice caught Ruby off guard, and Yang felt a sharp, almost painful twinge of jealousy.

"Um..." Ruby hesitated, unsure of how to respond.

Yang's voice cut through the tension. "Okay, I'm done..." she said, a trace of irritation in her tone.

Jimmy's eyes softened with regret. "Since you won't remember, I kissed you to wake you up. I want you to know... I spent six months helping you." He paused and looked at Yang. "I want that date. I want you to kiss me."

The emotional weight of the place seemed to catch him off guard, and he tried to calm himself. "Hey, calm down... this place is built on emotional ties. It's hard to control yourself here," Jimmy explained, as if realizing the struggle they were all facing.

Yang took a deep breath, trying to hold back tears. "Look, I'm sorry, Jimmy. If I find Ruby, I'll take you out, I promise." Then he stopped, his face falling. "Wait... I won't remember, will I?" His voice dropped, the sadness evident in his eyes.

"No, don't be sad," Yang said softly, stepping closer to him. "I know it was from the heart. I'm sorry." She could feel the weight of her own emotions pulling at her, but she kept her voice steady. "I told you all of that because I know you won't remember."

"Get a room," Jaune muttered under his breath, clearly trying to diffuse the tension. "Accept our power so we can get out of here. That forest is really scary."

Jimmy looked at him with a thoughtful expression. "Actually, I want to know something. I've seen this forest before... a long time ago. Before we leave, can we go?"

"No. I'm not going," Jaune said firmly.

Both Ruby and Yang exchanged glances before agreeing. "Come on, Jaune. You might want to come before you die in this place."

Jaune groaned but reluctantly followed, his footsteps heavy as they entered the dark, endless forest together.

On the Outside

The group had been kneeling around the sword for five minutes now. The sword began to shift its power, the aura around Jimmy changing to a faint light blue. The sword itself transformed, the blade taking on a dull, rusty blue blade.

"Um... This is new. The sword must be connected somehow," Monica said, her voice filled with caution. "Girls, whatever you do, return quickly."

Back with Ruby and the others

"Wow, this forest is so bright, yet we're in a place where the leaves and bushes are everywhere," Ruby commented, her voice echoing in the quiet space.

Jimmy stopped suddenly, and the others bumped into him, momentarily thrown off balance.

"Hey, what's wrong?" Yang asked, her voice sharp with concern.

Jimmy's eyes widened. "Wait... I felt something. It's here..."

Before he could finish his thought, the atmosphere around them shifted. The air grew denser, the leaves rustling with a strange, unnatural rhythm.

Ruby's heart raced. "What's happening?"

The forest seemed to pulse, as if alive with ancient power, watching them all as they stood frozen.

"Hey, tell me this: why did you stop?" Yang asked, her voice sharp with concern.

"It's because something is leading us in circles," Jimmy said, his brow furrowing as he scanned the surroundings. "Okay, COME OUT. I KNOW YOU'RE HERE!" he shouted into the shadows.

Suddenly, wolves emerged from the darkness, circling around them. Dozens of glowing eyes watched them, and the pack bared its fangs, growling softly.

Yang stepped forward, positioning herself between the wolves and Jimmy. To her surprise, each step she took was met with the wolves bowing in submission.

"Well, I'm glad you came, but you won't be able to remember this conversation," a deep voice echoed, followed by a thunderous howl.

"Okay, I'm scared now. First, a giant beast, and now... what are we going to see next?" Jaune mumbled, his voice full of trepidation.

"Don't compare me to that turkey," the voice responded sharply.

Jaune ducked instinctively but quickly positioned himself in front of Ruby, instinctively protective.

"You're quite the hero, aren't you, human?" the voice said with a tinge of amusement.

"I want to be, no matter what," Jaune answered, his fear still evident in his voice.

"Work on your defensive skills and power before returning," the voice advised in a softer tone.

"Blond woman, why did you help him?" the voice directed its attention toward Yang.

Yang hesitated for a moment before answering. "Because, one reason: he's close to both Ranger and Jane. He's family."

"Hmm... I see. Maybe you can become part of his pack," the voice mused, no longer threatening, but almost paternal.

Then, the ground trembled, and a massive white wolf appeared before them. Its fur was pure and shimmering, and its size rivaled that of the dinosaur Jimmy had faced earlier.

"Tell me, human," the wolf said, its voice booming yet soft, "Would you become his mate?" It stared intently at Yang.

Yang blinked, taken aback. She stepped forward, preparing to challenge the wolf. But before she could act, confusion washed over her as she realized what it meant. "Wait, wait... mate? You mean marriage?"

The wolf's tone grew more serious. "No... bearing his children, as you qualify as a pack leader. And perhaps... the red-hooded girl, too." This time, Ruby's face turned bright red.

"That's not right! It's one pair, not a threesome!" Yang exclaimed, her voice filled with disbelief.

"The pack doesn't revolve around such a limited view of life," the wolf replied, lying down in front of them with a calm demeanor. "Most animals cannot survive on one mate. Something tells me he might need more."

Both Ruby and Yang turned red in unison, and Ruby almost collapsed, overwhelmed by the sheer amount of information being thrust upon them.

"Stop teasing them," Jimmy demanded, his tone frustrated.

"I wasn't, but please focus on me, blond woman," the wolf said, its voice commanding. "Do you trust in the pack? And are you ready to become his mate?"

Yang paused, her thoughts racing. "Do I have to have kids now, or can I wait?" she asked, nervously pushing her fingers together.

"You do not have to, but I recommend waiting a few more years," the wolf responded, its eyes narrowing. "I can give you the ability to prevent pregnancy until you're ready."

"You can do that?" Yang asked in disbelief.

"It's a side effect," the wolf explained. "But if you decide you do want children mentally, you'll become pregnant even if you're not physically ready."

Yang thought for a moment before replying. "Sounds good... but why ask me?"

"Is that a yes or no?" the wolf pressed, its gaze unwavering.

"He..." Jimmy began, but before he could finish, the wolf struck, slamming him into the ground with a single swipe of its mighty paw. Crushing Jimmy.

Yang's mind raced as she thought of Jimmy, knowing he would take care of her no matter what. "Yes... then I'll get my date, maybe more," she said softly, her heart pounding with both excitement and fear.

"That's exactly what I wanted to hear," the wolf said, a smile in its deep voice. It pulled its paw back, satisfied. "It's time for your mark to appear, and for you to be bound to him."

Jimmy, still dazed from the wolf's strike, shook his head. "No, she can't make that choice here."

"You have to now," the wolf said firmly. "This will activate my ability."

Jimmy stared at the wolf, trying to process the gravity of the situation. "Huh... you won't remember, but I can gift you and your chosen mate the ability of the winds and another power," the wolf explained, its voice softening slightly. "But that won't be for a while."

"But…" Jimmy began, his voice tinged with uncertainty.

"It's my choice," Yang replied firmly, her resolve unwavering.

The wolf's voice softened, yet remained commanding. "Be ready. Take off your top and turn your back toward Jimmy. Move your hair to reveal your shoulder."

Reluctantly, Yang followed the wolf's instructions, exposing her bare back to Jimmy. She felt a flush of discomfort but stood still, determined.

"I don't feel comfortable with this," Jimmy confessed, his voice filled with reluctance. "I won't remember, and it feels wrong. Like I'm taking advantage."

Yang smiled reassuringly. "Don't worry. It's part of the process. Just go with the flow. You'll learn to control the wind. It's time to repeat after me." Said the great Wolf.

The wolf and Jimmy began a chant, their voices in unison, creating a solemn prayer.

"As the pack chooses its partner, the wind guides those who will run as leaders. Allow those who have chosen and been guided within their hearts to react with the emotional bond of family and love. Let the wind create a barrier and speed to find those who have chosen the heart."

As Jimmy touched Yang's shoulder, a brilliant blue wolf symbol appeared on her skin, glowing brightly. Yang felt a surge of power, a wind-like sensation surrounding her, filling her with an awareness of everything around her. She felt her senses sharpen, and an immense speed coursed through her body.

Her eyes shifted color, her semblance changing from a bright red to a clear sky blue. Her aura transformed too, fading from yellow to a tint of blue with hints of yellow swirling within. Flames danced around her hair, now turning into a fierce, demonic blue flame that radiated power.

"Wow... I feel so much stronger," Yang marveled, her voice filled with awe. "I can feel the wind... and everything around me."

The great wolf nodded, a proud smile in its eyes. "Jimmy, you now have the power of the wind. But Blond Bombshell, you must teach him control over this power."

Yang hesitated, looking at the wolf in confusion. "Teach him? But... I don't even know how this power works."

The wolf chuckled softly, its deep voice gentle. "Oh, you will. Your own power and semblance have changed as well. A warning—your body might change as well. Redhood, return with Jaune in the future, as someone else will want to meet you when Jimmy is ready."

Yang shook her head, trying to process everything. She felt dizzy, the world shifting around them.

The wolf's voice became serious. "It's time now. Jimmy has accepted the aura. He should awaken, Bombshell. Your turn—wake him up."

The world around them twisted, and suddenly, all three —Yang, Ruby, and Jaune—felt themselves falling through space, leaving Jimmy behind. But before they could fully detach, Jimmy grabbed Yang's hand.

"Sorry, but if you find Ruby, I'll mark it on my soul," Jimmy said with a confident grin. "Even if I don't remember, I'll say yes. Get ready for some passion," he winked, releasing her hand.

Yang landed hard on the floor, the others following soon after. She sighed in relief, still processing what had just happened. But before she could catch her breath, Monica approached her with a questioning look.

"What happened? You all fell asleep, and all your auras melded into the sword. But you, Yang... your aura changed completely. It's no longer yellow; it has a tint of blue with yellow surrounding it."

Yang smiled and laughed softly, the excitement of the moment bubbling up. "Um... long story, but I think I just got my date with Jimmy."

She grinned widely, a look of joy on her face as she felt the weight of the changes settling in.

"Ugh… What's going on?" Jimmy groggily muttered as he felt the power around him shift. The rusty blue blade in his hand transformed into a fiery red, vibrant sword.

"Well, one thing's for sure, you're in so much trouble, young man," Monica's stern voice echoed in the room.

"Huh? Aunty? Where am I… Wait, aunty?" Jimmy's mind struggled to focus as he tried to piece everything together.

"Well, now that you're no longer burning everything around you, it's time for your punishment for hiding from me—your guardian," Monica said, her voice softening just slightly.

Before he could respond, she grabbed his head and gave him a noogie, then patted his head affectionately. "Don't scare me like that again. Jane cries even now. Ranger threw himself into his training, allowing his semblance to grow. Don't even get me started on your Flame Swordsman identity. You became a small symbol of power."

Her words hit Jimmy hard, and his smile faltered. He looked down, sadness creeping into his expression.

"What's wrong, Jimmy?" Monica asked, noticing the shift in his demeanor.

Clutching his fist, Jimmy grit his teeth. "I want everyone here before I say anything." His tone was strong, his eyes filled with determination.

The doctor entered, accompanied by the others, to test Jimmy's motor function. "You should be good to go after an hour or two. We'll handle your paperwork once you're ready."

As the doctor left, Jimmy turned to Jane, his gaze serious once everyone arrived standing around him. "I have to tell you something important," he said, before pausing and gathering his thoughts. "I killed fifteen Faunus."

The room fell into stunned silence. Blake's eyes widened in shock.

"Why would you kill them? I mean, they're people!" Blake's voice trembled with disbelief.

"LIES! LIES! You would never kill anyone, especially not a Faunus!" she yelled, her voice thick with emotion.

Jimmy remained calm, his voice low and unwavering. "The White Fang captured me. They tortured me, took my blood…" The room was heavy with silence. "I was captured by the White Fang." Repeating the statement.

The words hit everyone like a shockwave, and Blake, especially, struggled to process them.

"What? The White Fang? Why would they do that?" Blake asked, her voice full of confusion and fear.

"My power—my semblance—is special. I can create something like flames. I call it 'Awakening,'" Jimmy explained. "When I experience anger, rage, or conviction, I can create flames—strong enough to even boil my blood. The White Fang wanted to know if I could pass that power on to someone. And then... it happened. I accidentally gave that power to someone else. To the worst of the worst."

He paused, the weight of his words sinking in.

"I gave it to Adam Taurus."

Blake's face drained of color, her breath catching in her throat. "You didn't… Why him of all people? He's too dangerous! And now he has your flames—he'll master them and turn them into a weapon. How can you take it back?"

Jimmy's expression hardened. "I have to kill him."

His voice was unwavering, the severity in his words undeniable. "Then, I'll drink his blood. That's the only way to make sure no one else can take back the power."

A tense silence followed, as everyone took a step back from the gravity of his words.

"Strength is achieved only by one who can truly call upon the flame of strength," Jimmy continued, his voice steady but filled with sorrow.

Ruby walked up to Blake, her face full of concern. "What's wrong, Blake? Why are you so afraid?"

Blake's voice trembled as she spoke. "How long does it take to master it?"

"It takes two years for a normal person," Jimmy replied. "But mine... mine is special. It takes a special person to help gain control. Adam doesn't need help; he's mastered it. I'm sorry, I might have ended this world. I don't know how to stop the flames."

Yang stepped forward, placing a reassuring hand on Jimmy's shoulder. "Then trust me, learn a new way to fight."

Jimmy looked at her, unsure. "But, Blond Bombshell, I only have flames."

"No," Yang corrected with a smile. "You have something more. Look at your blade—it's changed, meaning you've mastered the power of the flames. Now, it's time to master the wind."

Jimmy blinked in confusion, but Yang's words planted a seed of hope within him. Maybe, just maybe, he could learn to control this new power inside him. Then released his semblance of flames not wind.

"Heh, the wind? My semblance only uses flames. Thank you for the confidence, though," Jimmy said, chuckling.

Yang smiled, her expression softening as she held her hand out. "Grab your blade and put your hand on the hilt."

"Okay…?" Jimmy hesitated, but he grabbed the sword, noting how its appearance had changed. He likes the new appearance. He turned the blade, placing his hand on the hilt.

"Now, say it: Let the wind of the pack release," Yang instructed.

Confused, but trusting her, Jimmy did as she asked. "Let the wind of the pack release," he muttered, moving his hand down the blade. Suddenly, the sword transformed into its rusty blue form again.

"What the heck? How did this happen? Wait, how did you know?" Jimmy blurted out, his confusion evident.

Yang grinned cheekily. "Easy. I'm your lover, after all."

The room fell into stunned silence, everyone except Ruby and Jaune staring at Yang in disbelief. Jimmy was still trying to wrap his head around what just happened.

"Okay, let me explain," Ruby said quickly. "We went somewhere, met a giant beast, and he took us to you. Then we went somewhere else and found a bunch—no, like hunderds—of wolves. Then, a giant wolf told Yang she would be the perfect mate for you. You marked her."

Jimmy's eyes went wide, his face flushed. "Wait—I marked her? No! I didn't! Trust me, I was asleep, and even when we faced the Grimm, I didn't go near her!"

Before he could protest further, Yang turned around, removed her shirt, and pulled her hair back to reveal a spiraling wolf symbol inside a whirl of wind on her shoulder.

The group reacted in a variety of ways, but Jane immediately grabbed her weapon. Jimmy backed away, panicked. "Look, I don't remember doing that! I mean, Bombshell and I never even kissed!"

"I don't care," Jane said, her voice serious. "You can't just claim a woman because you can."

At that moment, hospital staff burst in, helping Jimmy recover from the stab wounds, as his aura slowly stabilized.

"So, I have this power somewhere, and I gifted you Awakening, Bombshell," Jimmy muttered, still trying to process everything.

Yang grinned. "Yes, but my name is Yang. Leave the talk about claiming for the bedroom, okay?" She winked at him.

"You're getting pretty brash with it," Jimmy commented, chuckling.

"Yeah, well, you marked me and owe me a date," Yang teased.

Jimmy hesitated. "I wish, but I need to find something first."

Yang raised an eyebrow. "You mean my sister?" She pointed to Ruby.

"Well, she has the same eyes, but not the same name," Jimmy replied.

"My name is Ruby Rose," Ruby said, stepping forward. "And also… here." She handed him an apple. "The guardian tree gave it to me to tell you that you found me."

"Wait… that's how my flames are under control?" Jimmy asked, surprised. "Nice. How did you do it?"

Ruby shrugged. "I don't know yet, but we need to get you moving to Beacon, as you're already registered."

Jimmy raised an eyebrow. "I don't remember applying."

"Well, the headmaster always makes exceptions," Ruby explained. "Also, your team is JJR. You're the leader."

Jimmy blinked in disbelief. "Yeah, that makes sense... You think I would believe that?" he shouted. "I can't lead! I'm a literal lone wolf. I attack in the dark."

Yang laughed. "It's us, you idiot," Ranger called out.

"Well, that's a relief," Jimmy said with a sigh.

"First, though, shopping for new clothes. Your pants don't exist anymore because of the blood," Jane said, a hint of humor in her voice. "Also, you need a new uniform for campus life."

"Maybe some lessons on how to act like a normal human," wiess added, her tone dry.

"I think that's a good idea. After all, he's been isolated for nearly four years, and he's barely interacted with anyone," Monica chimed in.

Some of the others agreed, nodding in agreement.

"One last thing, Bomb—I mean, Yang…" Jimmy began, looking at her seriously. "Don't tell anyone at the academy we're lovers. I'm not comfortable with that yet. Please give me time to adjust. We need to keep my Awakening power and my gifts under wraps. Also, let's keep the fact that I can control the wind quiet, alright?"

"Yeah, the wind, and that would be best," Ruby agreed.

"Also, this world you three went to? Make sure the headmaster doesn't know about it," Monica added, her voice low.

Ren frowned. "Why should we keep this from him?"

"I don't trust him," Monica said, her tone grave. "He has many secrets. Just be careful. In all honesty I hope he will never discover Jimmy's power and his strange arua."

The group exchanged worried glances, unsure what to make of her warning.
