Chapter 41: A New Pilot
After leaving Traverse Town, Hawk Squadron took some time to relax. Sparky was listening to his music while playing poker with Genie and Donald.
Stone: Nobody cheating at this game?
Everyone shook their heads no. Then Sora came up, confused.
Sora: Anyone seen Beezee?
Everyone said no. Then, as if on cue, M5-BZ rolled up with the IG-86 Sentinel Droid he was repairing, now sporting a B2-Series Super Battle Droid right arm.
Donald: WAK! Where'd that come from?!
M5-BZ explained his project to them.
Sora: So you're saying you found this droid among the salvage in Monstro and have been fixing him so we can have a dedicated pilot?
M5-BZ confirmed Sora's translation. Stone inspected the droid.
Stone: I know this model. This is an IG-86 Sentinel Droid. Normally, they're powerful fighters but I think we could use it as a pilot.
Sora: You got a name?
?: I am Cerberus-682, sir.
M5-BZ explained he programmed Cerberus to see him as his leader.
Sora: Okay. M5-BZ, I hereby promote you to the rank of Sergeant.
Those present immediately saluted the newly-promoted Sergeant. M5-BZ gave Cerberus the order to begin piloting. Cerberus immediately walked to the cockpit. Dolly was feeding Windsor. He started squeaking, wanting to come on a mission.
Dolly: Sure, I'll take you on a mission, Windsor. But you'll have to be careful.
Suddenly, Goofy came onto the intercoms.
Goofy: (Intercoms) Uh, guys. There's a ship coming our way.
Everyone ran to the cockpit and saw a pirate ship flying towards them.
Donald: That's a pirate ship!
Dolly: (With Windsor on her shoulder) Pirates… AWESOME!
Dolly's excitement died down when the ship turned towards them.
Sora: IT'S GONNA RAM US! BRACE FOR IMPACT
Everyone held on as it came. When it hit them, a flash of light happened and everyone vanished from the Ebon Hawk.
