Chapter 44: Captain Hook
Everyone went out on deck and found Captain Hook, Smee, and Pirate Heartless waiting for them.
Hook: Quite the codfish, that Riku… Running off with those girls and not saying goodbye.
Sora: Run off where? (Summoning Crabclaw) Tell me, where did he go?
Sparky sparked in anger, ready to fight.
Hook: To the ruins of Hollow Bastion, where Maleficent resides. But none of you will be going there.
Hook brought Tinker Bell locked in a cage, making Hawk Squadron gasp.
Hook: Unless you all intend to leave your little pixie friend behind.
Dolly secretly switched her Laser Lamp to Fire but Sora sent the Keyblade away.
Hook: Hand over the Keyblade and I'll spare your lives. Be glad I'm merciful, unlike the Heartless. So, which will it be? The Keyblade or the Plank?
Dolly: What's that ticking noise?
On an instinct, Hook looked down at the water and saw a familiar crocodile.
Hook: It's him! The crocodile that took me hand!
Hook ran to his cabin as Sora and Dolly was forced onto the plank.
Dolly: Nice knowing you, Sora.
Sora then remembered what Peter Pan said. Taking a chance, Sora jumped. Just before the crocodile ate him, Sora flew above them. Dolly took a chance and jumped and she started to fly.
Stone: Well, I'll be.
Peter Pan swooped in and grabbed Tinker Bell in her cage.
Sora: Thanks, Peter.
Peter: What are friends for? Besides, you remind me of someone I know.
Stone and the others forced the Heartless back and started attacking them. Some Heartless came in on ships and attacked.
Sora: Stone, use the lightsaber!
Stone ignited the blade and started cutting down the Heartless.
Stone: (Quietly) Just like the old days.
Soon, the deck was clear of enemies. Peter Pan quietly guided everyone to Hook.
Hook: Is that you, Smee? Did you finish them off?
Peter Pan: (Impersonating Smee) Aye, Captain. They walked the plank every last one of them.
Hook ran out and found the group pointing their weapons at him. Drawing his rapier, Hook started to engage in a sword fight with Sora, Dolly, and Peter Pan. The other ran to help but more Heartless came and they had to stop them.
Dolly: (Slashing) You honestly think you can beat us.
Hook: (Slashing) You honestly can't win, Witch!
Sora: (Slashing) That's what you think, you fancy codfish!
Peter Pan: (Smiling proudly) I knew I liked you, Sora.
The trio tricked Hook and forced him onto the plank.
Hook: (When they stopped) Giving up already?
Sora: Nope… I'm just getting Dolly's souvenir.
Sora jumped and slammed onto the plank, making it wabble. Hook was struggling to keep his balance after sheathing his rapier. Dolly took the opportunity and ripped off his rapier as Hook fell into the water. Hook saw the crocodile and swam off as it gave chase. Meanwhile, Sora and Dolly looked glum.
Goofy: Uh, Kairi and Roxy couldn't wake up, so maybe they really lost their…
Donald shushed his best friend, not wanting to upset the duo. But, in truth, their mood was anything but sad.
Sora: I still can't believe it… (Chuckling) I really flew. Wait till I tell Kairi.
Dolly: (Laughing) BOW WHACKA WOW! My family will never believe I flew!
Peter Pan: You could bring Kairi and your family to Neverland. Then, they can try it themselves.
Sora: Yeah, if you believe, you can do anything right?
Sparky: Ih.
Stone: You're right, sir.
Sora: I'll find Kairi and Roxy; I know I will. There's so much we have to them: About flying, pirates, and everything else. And then, I'll take Dolly home.
Peter Pan: Speaking of home, we best get Wendy home.
Stone and the others tried to fly and succeed. They soon arrived in London, much to Dolly's hope. She got a good look and saw it wasn't her London. It wasn't Camden Town. Sora saw that one of the faces on Big Ben was wrong.
Sora: Peter, why don't you take Wendy home. We'll see you again… (Flying away with the others) Someday.
Sora and friends set the clock right and the Keyhole was revealed. Sora knew the drill and the Keyhole was sealed. The Keyblade vanished and Sora got a new one when he resummoned it: The guard were fairy wing the blade and handle were wood with Peter's pan pipes as the Key Teeth, and a red feather was the keychain token. The Ebon Hawk soon arrived and everyone got aboard. Meanwhile, Riku was trying to cling to the light in his heart.
Maleficent: I was reckless of you to bring them here without a vessel. Remember, relying too heavily on the dark powers could cost you your heart.
Riku walked away while a loud roar was heard in the distance.
