Chapter Nine

Battle (⅓)

Through the past hour or so, the students of class 1-A faced off against each other during this training exercise. For those who won their fight with either heroes or villains, they would move to the next round. Lily was a bit impressed by some of the quirks she saw being displayed on the screen during the matches she watched.

"Not gonna lie, but this class has some impressive quirk users."

"I know right?" Mineta said before finishing off another macaroon. "They have some flashy quirks, and all I got are sticky balls."

"That's what she said," Lily said as it caused Mineta to laugh. "Sorry, but the moment called for it."

"No, no, it's fine. B-But in seriousness, I don't think I'll be that good at showing off my quirk if that's the case."

"It shouldn't matter how flashy you are. All that matters is getting the job done." Lily said before pulling one of his balls from off his head. The moment she did that, she placed it on the wall they were laying on as she started to pull on it. "With something as super sticky as these balls, you can trap and hold just about anything. Your brain is the greatest and most dangerous weapon out of anything. You just need to use it to trap your opponents in them." She said before reaching into her tail to pull out a small bottle of body oil. She poured some onto her hand as she removed her hand easily off of Mineta's ball.

"Wait, how were you able to remove your hand off of my ball?"

"Lube comes in handy when you need to slide out of a pair of handcuffs…or when you accidentally get your hand stuck in a small jar of candy at the age of ten."

"Wow…wait, you got your hand stuck in a jar?"

"Yeah…I wasn't the brightest kid at the time and I didn't think of just turning the jar upside down to get the last piece. But it was worth it to learn that." She said before placing the oil in her tail, though she would use the remains of the oil on her hand to oil her skin. Specifically on her arms, face, and breast areas. Once she was done, she noticed Mineta staring at her glistening skin as she smirked. "You know you can touch them if you want?"

"I would…God, you're like a shiny bar of chocolate with your skin shining like that." He said as he slowly reached for her breast but soon stopped himself from doing so. "But I'm going to wait until the right moment, and when we're better friends."

"Aw, thanks, little man," Lily said before lightly punching Mineta on the shoulder. The young man smiled upon feeling her do that, but his attention was soon turned to All Might upon hearing him speak up.

"Alright, time for the next team!" All Might said before pulling Lily and Mineta's names out of the box. "Team A will be Lily and Mineta as the heroes." He said before reaching into the other box to pull out another set of names. "Team B will have Todoroki and Shoji as the villains!"

"...Huh. I was not expecting that." Lily said as she noticed Mineta's shocked expression. "You okay?"

"Of course, I'm not okay! Do you know who we're fighting against!? Or did you forget what he did to Ojiro and Hagakure!"

"I haven't, but-"

"Not to mention Shoji, the muscular octopus that can make more limbs and stuff! If they take you out, then that would mean I would have to fight them along!" Mineta said as he started to run around in a circle out of fear and misery "We're so screwed!" Lily couldn't help but chuckle at his reaction before picking him up and placing his face in between her breasts. There was a slight struggle from Mineta when she did that, but after a good ten seconds or so, he soon calmed down and looked up at her.

"You're done freaking out?"

"...A little bit."

"Good." She said before releasing her hold on Mineta. "Because I have a plan that can help us win this."

"Wait, are you going to use those metal bunny knight things like before?" he asked as the pseudo servant shook her head.

"Naw, can't use the same trick as before. Plus I don't have the means to melt the metal without Mina's acid." She said before reaching into her tail to pull out red, blue, and yellow-colored gemstones. "Your balls are the key to this…and I don't mean the ones in your pants."

"I kind of figure that, but what do my balls and those stones have to do with being the key?"

"You're about to bounce off your balls right?" She asked as Mineta nodded. "Is there a limit to how much you can pull off your head?"

"If I pull too many of them off, then my scalp bleeds."

"Okay, how many are you able to pull off?"

"I don't know. I think about forty to fifty if I'm feeling good. Why?"

"I'm going to use these stones to enhance your speed, strength, endurance. You are going to have to get Shoji's attention and get him to follow you in either a small or narrow area. While that's happening, you'll throw your balls around and use your enhancements to zoom, dodge, and attack shoji."

"Wait, you can do something like that?"

"Yeah, it's part of my quirk. Look, don't ask me how it works, because it's still a big mystery to me to some degree. Look, the first plan is to divide and conquer. In the second part of the plan, you need to do a hit and run tactic."

"You think something like that will work?"

"It will. Shoji may be strong and can duplicate certain parts of his body. But even with all that, he's still human. With your speed and small stature, you'll be able to knock him off his feet. If I can beat Todoroki in time, I'll head over to where you are and help you." She said before raising her fist at Mineta for a fist bump. "Let's show them how we degenerate do, Lil bro~"

"...Yeah, let's win this!" Mineta said as he returned the fist bump with his own. After doing that, she picked Mineta up and placed him on her shoulders before heading off towards the training ground. As the two combatants make their way to their respective sides of the battlefield, Mineta spoke up and asked Lily a question that took her by surprise.

"Hey, Lily. If you don't mind me asking, why did you become the villain killer?" he asked as Lily let out a sigh. Not of annoyance, but disappointment.

"I was…put in a rough situation." She said before looking over at him. "I was raised in an orphanage from the time I was five, up to the age of seven. The place wasn't so bad, the people there were nice. They looked after all of the kids in that place. It…was a nice place for a time."

"For a time?"

"Don't know who it was that replaced the owner of that place. The owner of that place was replaced with a very shitty person. It didn't help that he was a hero. This happened after my seventh birthday if I remember correctly. After that things did not turn out so well for me. I don't know what that guy's problem with me was, but he hated me with a burning passion."

"Did you do anything to make him mad at you?" Mineta asked as Lily shook her head.

"Nothing. I was the good kid in that place. Hell, all of the kids were good until the old kids were adopted left and right like toys. When the new kids from bad upbringing came, it was a fucking orgy of hatred. And I was the poor girl in the middle of it. So I had enough of that so-called racist hero and those snot nose brats and decided to live on my own in the slums."

"Is…that why you don't like heroes?"

"No…that's not the reason." She said as Mineta noticed a sad expression on her face. "The reason why I dislike heroes is that no hero came to my help. I was at the lowest part of my life. I tried to ask for help, but I was ignored because I was black and an American, I couldn't speak Japanese, or they said let the hero deal with her. And you can guess how that turned out."

"No one came to help you, did they?"

"Correct….Dying, sick, hungry, barely able to move…I can go on but you get the idea. So I figured why not just find a nice place to die…It worked...until my quirk manifested." She said as a grin appeared on her face and flexed a muscle on her arm as circuit lines appeared on it. "Don't know the full extent of my quirk, but it fixed whatever problem I was having with my body. With this second chance at life, I decided to make myself stronger. So I spent the last ten years honing my skills, training my body, and learning stuff on my own. Like how to cook, hunt for food, and all that jazz."

"Wow…you're like a freaking suburban amazon girl," Mineta said as Lily let out a small chuckle.

"Guess I am huh?" She said before hearing All Might announcing the match started. The moment he said that Lily pulled out the gemstones from before and placed Mineta on the ground next to her. "Hold still." The pseudo servant quickly smashed the gemstones above Minesta's head. The young man looked up as she saw a veil of colors around him. Once the veil vanishes, Mineta feels a surge of power flowing through his body along with a purple aura developed around his body.

"Whoa, I feel so..empowered…like I can take on the world."

"Yeah, trust me when I say you can't. Mainly because the power boost lasts for a good twenty minutes. Which gives us plenty of time to take them down." Lily said as she and Mineta started making their way to where Todoroki and Shoji were located. The moment two of them were getting close to them, Lily's ears began to twitch upon hearing the sound of ice coming towards them. She quickly grabbed Mineta by his collar, placed him under her arm, and quickly jumped out of the way to avoid a stream of ice heading their way. She soon looked down to see Todoroki and Shoji looking up at them as she landed a few feet in front of them.

"I knew you were quick during the fight with Bakugo. But I didn't think you were that quick when it comes to dodging." Todoroki said as Lily glared at him.

"Not that hard to dodge when you know what you're dealing with. Especially from the fight you had, which helped in my case."

"So you're the villain killer. Hard to believe someone like you sent my father flying with just a kick."

"...I don't know what you're talking about."

"You're all over the internet and news. You're the villain killer that took down my father, Endeavor and Ryukyu."

"...That could be any villain killer." She said as Todoroki stared at her with a deadpan expression and a raised eyebrow. "Alright, fine. It's me. What? Are you angry because I beat your daddy in a fight or something?"

"No, I'm not. What my father does, doesn't concern me." He said as the ice began to form on the ground where his foot was. "It's clear you're on a different level than most of the students in our class. But with me, it's a different story. You may be fast, but I doubt your speed will matter if the entire field was covered in ice." With a twist of his foot, the ice forming around his foot quickly spreads around the area they're in. Lily once again jumped into the air to avoid the ice, as she saw a wall of ice heading towards her. "Got you."

"Nope," Lily said as she twisted her body around in the air to avoid some of the ice spikes heading towards her, landed on top of it, and used it as a railing to slide down upon it while heading towards Todoroki. "It would be me who got you ice boy."

Todoroki would have the same blank expression on his face as he shot out more ice just like before. The circuit lines on her legs lit up as she jumped into the air to avoid the ice heading towards her. Once in the air, she looked over at where the bomb was located as she tried her best to head towards it. Only to be met with a wall of ice blocking her sight as she lands onto the ground, but soon dodges to the left to avoid a stream of ice heading her way.

"Ice spamming jerk." She said before landing back onto the ground and placing Mineta next to her before looking at him. "You know what to do right?"

"I'm on it!" He said before vanishing from Todoroki's sight, only to appear in front of Shoji. Shoji's eyes widened from seeing Mineta appear in front of him as he tried to punch him away. Mineta quickly dodged the punch as he grabbed Shoji by his arm and tossed him down a narrow pathway with incredible force. He soon turned his attention onto Lily as he gave her a thumbs-up before following Shoji.

"What did you do to him?" Todoroki asks as he notices a grin appearing on Lily's face.

"Just a bit of an enhancement to his speed, strength, and endurance. He's going to deal with Shoji, while I do with you."

"You're friends with someone like him?" he asked as Lily nodded. "I shouldn't be surprised. You're both degenerates."

"...Come again?"

"As I said, you're both degenerates. You for being a murderer and Mineta for being a pervert. People like you don't belong in this school. You think becoming a hero will wipe away your past?" He asked as it caused Lily to stare at him with a dumbfounded expression on her face. "By the expression on your face, I take it you didn't know that."

"Naw, this is the expression of me looking at a delusional idiot thinking that I would give a fuck." Lily said before cracking her knuckles. "But I shouldn't be surprised, you're a rich kid who's been papered throughout all your life. Just like Iida, only in your case. You think you're better than anyone else in this school." She said as she noticed Todoroki glaring at her.

"You don't know anything about me."

"Same here, spoiled brat." She said before launching herself into the air after he fired off a stream of ice at her. Once the ice had stopped moving, she soon slid down it and started heading towards Todoroki. The moment she was close to striking Todoroki, the circuit lines in her arms lit up as she was about to punch him in the face, only for him to summon up a wall of ice in front of him as her punch took out a chunk of the ice wall causing it to crumble a bit. "You think fighting me at half-ass is going to save you!?"

"I don't have time to deal with someone like you," he said before using his ice to back away from her. Once he was a good distance from her, he fired off another stream of ice her way. "You're nothing more than a stumbling block that's in my way."

The pseudo servant saw the ice heading her way as the circuit lines in her legs lit up. She lowers herself in a pouncing stance before quickly launching herself to the right and lands on the wall of a nearby building. Once she locked eyes with Todoroki, she launched herself again and headed towards him. Todoroki scoffed at her attempt to charge head-on at him as he instantly summoned up a wall of ice in front of him. In anticipation, he lifted his hand as if getting ready to grab her the moment she broke the wall of ice. Lily on the other hand noticed the wall of ice she was heading towards as she landed on it with her feet without breaking it. She quickly backs away from the wall as she soon summons Excalibur into her hands.

"Hiding behind that wall like a coward isn't going to save you!" She said as her sword began to glow. "Especially when you only use your ice to dodge and protect yourself." He only answered with a stream of ice heading toward her. The pseudo servant snorted in annoyance as she took up a striking stance with her sword raised above her head. Todoroki moved casually from behind the wall of ice he made as he soon fired off more ice at her.

"You can't win this. I've seen your trick from your fight with Bakugo. You won't be able to close the distance between us."

"Who said I need to close the distance between?" She said as her grip on her sword tightened more as a burst of mana erupted from it. "Bathe within the light, Excalibur!" Lily brought her sword down as she unleashed a beam of concentrated magic at the oncoming ice. Upon colliding with the ice it created an explosion as the force behind it caused Todoroki to be sent flying backward. Before he could hit the wall behind him, he soon created walls of ice to lessen the speed he was going. Upon reaching the fifth wall of ice, he came to a slow stop before looking up at Lily as he saw her outfit change from her school outfit to a more knight's attire.

"So, you were holding back during the previous match just in case you had to fight me?" Todoroki asked as Lily shook her head.

"Naw, I don't hold back when it comes to fighting. What I used on Bakugo was only one percent of Excalibur's power. What you just saw right now, was me using Excalibur at ten percent." She said before aiming her sword at Todoroki. "Get ready, you spoiled rich kid. Because just like I did with Bakugo, you're ass is grass."
