Ever since Elphaba left her dad's house. She's been living in the castle with Fiyero's family. She was unable to return to Shiz because of her pregnancy. But Shiz agreed to homeschool her and Fiyero until their baby was born. For the first time Elphaba got a glimpse of what a real family felt like. Fiyero's mom was very caring just as Elphaba imagined her mother would have been. Fiyero's father is just the same. Elphaba was thrilled her baby would grow up with nothing but love.

Time jump

Fiyero and Elphaba's room

Fiyero: (entering the room) Hay you guys almost ready?

Elphaba: Yes I'm just finishing getting him dressed.

Elphaba is sitting on the bed dressing their son. When Fiyero comes and sits down next to them.

Fiyero: Hi son (the baby smiles)

Elphaba: You're finally going to get to meet your God Mommy. (The baby laughed and kicked)

Fiyero: I know you have missed her.

Elphaba: Yes I have, but we're all about to be back together again.

Fiyero: Yes, come on little man (Fiyero picked up his son)

They begin to leave when they ran into Fiyero's mother. Who was at the door crying she has gotten so attached to her grandson and Elphaba. She truly hated for them to leave.

Mrs. Tigelaar: Oh give me my baby. (She said crying even louder as she took him from Fiyero)

Fiyero: Oh mom we don't have time for this.

Mrs. Tigelaar: Oh you just don't understand because you're not a mother. But my darling Elphaba understands don't you baby?

Elphaba: Yes ma'am (Mrs. Tigelaar pulled Elphaba in for a tight hug)

Fiyero: Your acting like you're not going to see us anymore we'll be back.

Mrs. Tigelaar: I know that but you're going away for a whole year. I'm not going to see my grandbaby for a whole year. (She cried)

Elphaba: But you can come and visit and you know we'll come back and visit.

Mrs. Tigelaar: Yes I know I'm just worried he'll forget me.

Fiyero: Mother he's not going to forget you.

Elphaba: No we won't let that happen.

Mr. Tigelaar: Fiyero I'm glad I caught you before you all left. I really need to talk to you before you leave.

Fiyero: Oh come on father we are already late?

Mr. Tigelaar: Well a few more minutes won't hurt you. Come on.

Mrs. Tigelaar: Oh go on it will give me a few more minutes with my grandbaby and my Elphaba.

Fiyero: Fine but when I get back we are out of here.

Elphaba: Okay (Fiyero walked off)

Mrs. Tigelaar: Why is he so moody today?

Elphaba: I think it's just his nerves.

Backyard

Mr. Tigelaar: Son this is your last year of college. Have you thought about your future?

Fiyero: How did I know this is what you wanted to talk about?

Mr. Tigelaar: Well this is your future. You're a grown man with a child a son somebody to carry on our legacy. It's time for you to start thinking like a man and make plans for your family. Starting with the mother of your child.

Fiyero: Elphaba what about her?

Mr. Tigelaar: Well for starters how does it look for a Prince to have a child and not be married to its mother.

Fiyero: You know I tried to marry her way before my son was born. But she didn't want to because she thought I was just doing it because she was pregnant.

Mr. Tigelaar: Was that why you were doing it?

Fiyero: I guess it had a big part in it. But you know I love Elphaba. There is nothing in the world I wouldn't do for her.

Mr. Tigelaar: Well I hope when you guys graduate you'll be ready to fully be a man. Because me and your mother are getting older and we're going to need you and Elphaba very soon to take over everything.

Fiyero: I don't think I'm ready to be King.

Mr. Tigelaar: (laughed) No one ever is son.

It's just time to get your priorities together. Your people are waiting on you. But no pressure just something for you to think about on that long ride back to school.

Fiyero: Yeah okay...

Mr. Tigelaar: Good man, now come on let me go say goodbye to my grandson and Elphaba.

After saying goodbye for the thousand time. They finally headed back to Shiz University. Elphaba sat back in the carriage feeding her son. Well Fiyero sat there in silence. Elphaba could tell he was clearly thinking about something very hard. She reached over and touched his face and he just naturally fell into her embrace. Laying his head on her shoulder. As she rubbed his hair.

Elphaba: Whatever is bothering you it's going to be okay.

Fiyero: I don't wanna be King.

Elphaba: I know

Fiyero: Why can't we just be normal people.

Elphaba: I guess because nothing about us is normal. But I will support you whatever you choose to do. Me and Liir will still be right here.

Fiyero: I don't know what I would do without you two. (He kissed her)
