"and then she disappeared, its been 2 weeks and she hasn't come back" Zipp said holding a smoothie while sitting at a outdoors table talking to Hitch.
"oh my goodness. that sounds like a tough time" Hitch said, holding a smoothie of his own while Sparky sat on the seat next to him.
"it was more confusing than tough. also that mare just felt creepy for some reason, like she could kill us with just a stomp of her hoof" Zipp replied.
"what happened to the necklace she gave you?" Hitch asked.
"I'm still trying to figure out how it works, it doesn't seem to do anything besides stop anyone but me from wearing it" Zipp replied, pulling the necklace out from under her wing.
"oh trust me, it does a whole lot more" CC said while appearing from nowhere, causing Zipp to almost fall off her seat while Hitch just straight up fell on the ground.
"here you go" CC smirked, passing a necklace to Hitch. it was a golden necklace with a light pink gem shaped like a shield embedded in the front.
when he didn't take it, she simply pressed it against his chest, causing it to snap on around his neck.
"now wheres the purple one?" CC asked, turning her attention to Zipp.
"Pipp or Izzy?" Zipp asked in reply.
"whichever ones a pegasus" CC replied.
"probably in the brighthouse" Zipp responded, gesturing towards the bright house in the distance with her head.
"thank you very much" CC thanked her before teleporting away.
"confidence element of harmony!" CC yelled at an asleep Pipp as she teleported into the room.
"ah!" Izzy cried from the opposite side of the room. "huh?" Pipp mumbled as she woke up.
"what time is it?" Pipp groaned as she sat up.
"here's your necklace!" CC announced, tossing a necklace onto the bed.
"here's your necklace!" the yellow mare declared, tossing another necklace at a confused Izzy.
"goodbye!" CC yelled before teleporting away again.
"ugh...only 5 hours?" Pipp mumbled, seeing the time was 9:30 am.
"when did you fall asleep?" Izzy questioned the half asleep purple pegasus.
"four in the morning, I stayed up late editing videos" Pipp replied before falling asleep again, the necklace tossed to her still on the bed. the necklace was golden with a light pink gem shaped like a musical note embedded into the front.
"okay..." Izzy loudly mumbled before looking down at what was tossed to her. it was identical to the one thrown at Pipp except the gem was light blue and shaped like a heart.
Sunny gave a young unicorn her order, having been too far to hear Zipp and Hitch's conversation.
the next person in line was a mare wearing a dark cloak and an eyepatch.
"hi, can I get a chocolate and glass smoothie?" the mysterious mare asked, sounding familiar.
"uh...no. its definitely not safe to drink actual glass" Sunny replied.
"then how about a banana and raspberry smoothie?" the yellow mare asked.
"of course, it'll just be a second" Sunny smiled, turning around to begin making it.
a few minutes later the orange earth pony passed the mare her order.
"here's the payment" the mare said, sliding a necklace across the counter.
"uh...this isn't money" Sunny replied, but the mare was already gone.
she looked down at the necklace, only to realize how familiar it was. it was a golden necklace with a bright pink gem embedded in the front shaped like a star.
she quickly put it under the counter and continued on like normal.
"Cupcake" Discord said as CC appeared in the map room. he was sitting in the chair that used to have Applejack's cutie mark on it.
"father" CC said in a serious tone, sitting in what used to be her mothers chair.
"why did you give the necklaces of harmony away?" Discord asked, resting his head on his paw and claw.
"I gave them to the owners, they're the only ones who can wear them. also, remember? I can sense if someponies an element of harmony. and I have a connection to the necklaces of harmony too, I can sense them like they're a part of me!" CC told him, floating out of the chair.
"but what if they fall into the wrong hands? or hooves, I guess" Discord told the hybrid.
"you and your paranoia!" CC replied, slouching in her seat.
Discord sighed deeply before responding.
"you can't just give them the necklaces and abandon them, you have to guide them and show them what the necklaces are for" Discord told his daughter.
"alright, I guess being a tour guide for historic places would be kinda fun" CC loudly mumbled.
"what are you doing?" Pipp asked, still tired as she walked over to her sister's desk.
"I'm trying to figure out what these things do" Zipp explained, fiddling with the necklace on the desk.
"they shoot lasers" CC replied, teleporting into the middle of the room.
"can you stop doing that!?" Zipp shrieked.
"so…my dad kind of told me to basically become a mentor instead of just leaving you to figure the necklaces of harmony by yourselves. So, here I am! I kind of haven't gotten the blue unicorns necklace yet so I was thinking y'all could come with me to get it. Could be fun for you guys to meet some relatives" CC explained, a smirk on her face by the time she finished.
"relatives?" Zipp questioned.
"let's go!" CC cheered, grabbing Zipp and teleporting all three of them away.
Sunny was going about her day when suddenly CC, Zipp and Pipp teleported in front of the entrance to the smoothie cart.
"alicorn, come visit the farm town with us. I don't care about your answer, I'll just teleport you anyways" CC said while Pipp looked like she could puke.
"uh…can I just finish this order?" Sunny asked.
"sure" CC nodded.
"you didn't let us finish what we were doing!" Zipp snapped.
"all you were doing was tapping your necklace" CC replied, her tail moving in the air.
"what in Equestria is happening here?" Hitch asked while walking past.
"you! your coming with us too!" CC said, pointing at the stallion with her hoof.
"wait what?" Hitch asked, stopping in his tracks.
"done!" Sunny said, passing the smoothie to the pony in front of her.
the five ponies then teleported away.
Misty was sitting on the grass, reading her history of magic book.
"blue unicorn! Come with us!" CC said, appearing alongside Sunny, Hitch, Zipp and a Pipp who looked like she could puke any second.
Misty looked at them.
"no" Misty said without emotion before going back to her book.
"too bad" CC replied before teleporting all of them away.
Izzy was wandering the forest for inspiration and potential supplies for her crafts. Her mane draped down her shoulder, not tied back in a bun like it normally would be.
"purple unicorn!" CC yelled, teleporting her and the others behind the calm unicorn.
Izzy looked behind her just as Pipp puked.
"ew!" Zipp shrieked, some of the vomit having gotten on her hoof.
"oh right, I forgot regular ponies can get sick from teleportation" CC said to herself, looking at the green stuff.
"anyways, your coming with us" CC stated, turning her attention to a confused Izzy.
"Also don't worry, we're gonna walk after this one" CC told the pink pegasus, who was still catching her breath.
They then teleported away.
when they appeared again, they were in front of the crystal castle in the town ruins.
"didn't we already come here?" Zipp asked, still patting her sisters back.
"you guys did. We didn't" Hitch said, gesturing to him and the pair of unicorns.
"can I have a hair tie? My manes getting in my face" Izzy spoke.
"here you go" CC replied, teleporting a hair tie into Izzy's hoof.
while Izzy tied back her mane in a ponytail CC explained where they were going.
"when I was younger, my best friend lived at a place called sweet apple acres. now its a town with the same name. there used to be many families that shared their name with a fruit or vegetable, they eventually all mixed together and most of them live at sweet apple acres. thats where the blue unicorns necklace is being kept. since apparently, my dad trusts a whole ton of mortals more than his own powerful daughter" CC explained, gesturing to the other side of the town.
"so why did you say we were meeting relatives?" Zipp asked.
"because I knew your ancestor" CC replied, looking straight into Zipps eyes.
"hold on what?" Pipp said.
"lets go!" CC cried out, running ahead of the six.
"wait up!" Sunny responded, chasing after her.
"where are we?" Sunny asked when they began leaving the town ruins.
"we're on the edge of the farm part of the town" CC explained, still slightly ahead of the others.
"how far is it?" Izzy questioned, fiddling with one of her earrings.
"Not far, especially if you have crazy kids leading you there" CC replied, reaching for an apple.
"what are you doing?" Zipp asked, suspicion in her voice.
"summoning the demons" CC replied, twisting the stem of the apple she was holding and then pulling it right, sending out a shockwave of a sharp ring.
the ears of all six ponies fell flat on their heads while the hybrid seemed unbothered by the ring.
it seemed as though the moment the sound stopped, another began. a rumbling sound, as though the ground as shaking from the force of five thousand ponies. but the source was not that. instead it was a hundred fillies and colts running towards them at a fast pace. they were let by a trio of earth pony fillies around ten years old, identical in everything but their coats and fruit based cutie marks.
the herd of children halted to a stop in front of the confused group of ponies.
the light pink coated filly of the trio stepped forward.
she lightly sniffed the closest one, Sunny before turning to the crowd.
"get her!" the filly yelled, much to the horror of the orange earth pony.
the crowd flooded around her and began dragging her in the direction they came from.
"help me!" Sunny cried as the crowd only left one behind, a foul with a silver mane and a pale coat.
"what just happened?" Hitch asked, concerned for his childhood friends safety.
"they just took her to meet the relatives" the foul, who seemed about three years old said calmly.
they then stepped towards Zipp and Pipp.
"are you siblings?" the foul asked.
"yes?" Zipp nervously replied.
the foul then lightly sniffed her before turning to face where the other fillies and colts had taken Sunny.
"there's more!" the foul yelled, terrifying Zipp and Pipp.
the crowd quickly returned, this time grabbing the sisters.
"we're being taken!" Pipp yelled while Zipp tried to fly up into the sky, being stopped by the pegasi fillies and colts.
throughout the whole thing, CC sucked out the juice of the apple she had picked, watching without emotion on her face. her eyes red the entire time.
"okay, lets go" CC finally said, tossing the disgusting mush behind her, her eyes now normal again.
"what about Sunny, Zipp and Pipp!?" Izzy asked.
"relax, we'll meet up with them at the town" CC replied, rolling her eyes to look at Izzy.
Hitch, Izzy and Misty reluctantly followed the spooky mare.
when they got to the town, they saw a larger crowd of fillies and colts asking questions to a confused Sunny, a shocked Pipp and a confused Zipp.
"Sunny!" Hitch cried out with relief.
"Hitch!" Sunny cheered, running away from the crowd and towards them.
the two hugged while Izzy and Misty turned their attention to the town itself.
it had a sort of happy, calm rustic feeling to it with many flowers and plants as decoration.
as the crowd of fillies and colts began to disperse, Misty saw a unicorn colt run over to an earth pony mare planting a flower without magic.
she walked over with curiosity, none of the confused others taking notice.
"excuse me, but why aren't you just using magic to grow a flower?" Misty asked the gold and white colored mare.
"ever since magic came back, we haven't actually used it much. we only really use it when we really need to. It's nice to feel like you aren't relying on some crystals constantly" the mare explained, wrapping her front leg around the sand and white colored colt.
"mama say only use magics when something I need is too high and no pony is around!" the five year old colt said, his horn glittering as he talked.
"hi!" CC called from a distance.
"hi aunt CC!" the mare happily replied.
"aunt CC?" Misty questioned.
"that's what every pony here calls her, the half draconequus" the mare explained.
"draconequus?" Misty repeated.
"draconequi are the immortal rulers of the elements of the land, shes the daughter of Discord, the lord of chaos" the mare explained, going back to her gardening.
"hey empathy! come on! we're going to get your necklace" CC announced to Misty, who reacted by running over to her friends and the yellow mare.
"empathy?" Zipp asked.
"I don't know your names, so I've decided to just call you by your elements of harmony" CC explained while Misty came over.
"well just so you know, my names Zipp" Zipp told her.
"yeah, I'm not remembering that" CC replied.
"now come on" the yellow mare called to the six ponies as she floated towards the town hall.
she landed in front of a middle aged earth pony wearing a light blue fabric necklace with a small jewel sewed into the front.
"hello aunt CC, is there something I could do for you?" the stallion asked.
"yes, where are you keeping the necklace of harmony my father gave you?" CC replied.
the stallion took off the necklace and passed it to her, its disguise vanishing in her touch to reveal what it really was. it was a golden necklace with an orange gem shaped like a butterfly embedded into the front.
"wait, I thought only Misty was supposed to be able to wear that necklace" Sunny pointed out.
"only without the disguise my dad put on all the necklaces besides the one I convinced him to let me keep. the disguise only disappears when I touch them" CC explained, giving the necklace to Misty.
"thanks!" CC told the stallion, beginning to leave.
"feel free to stay and explore, the unicorn forest is that way so you should be able to figure out where the beach town is" CC shrugged, pointing somewhere to her left.
the group looked at each other before they also began leaving.
