"I'm gonna get you Cake!" Zap apple yelled as she chased one of her best friends through the sky at a fast speed.

"never!" the hybrid replied, her cyan eyes glittering in the suns rays.

"I got you!" Zap apple shrieked as she tackled the 19 year old half draconequus out of the sky.

Cake created a bubble around them right before they hit the ground.

the bubble disappeared as Cake teleported into the air, her wings tucked in.

"girls! how many times do I have to tell you not to wreck the grass?" Applejack told the girls off from a distance.

"sorry mo-" Zap apple was cut off by her rebellious friend.

"a thousand times!" Cake laughed, sounding bubbly and happy.

"feels like I've told you over two thousand times" Applejack joked, a strand of her mane falling out of the bun it was tied in.

Cake smiled wide at Zap apple, hoping they could play in the orchard and sky forever.

CC opened her eyes, having fallen asleep reading one of her many boring books.

she sighed, her eyes falling on the framed picture on one of the higher shelves.

a tear escaped her eyes, remembering when she was younger.

"so, the daughter of chaos misses her old friends?" Opaline asked herself.

"Iris! find all the information you can on the children of the elements of harmony!" Opaline said, turning her attention to the griffon in the corner.

"uh, only one of them has a kid and none of them are even in a romantic relationship" Iris replied.

"the old ones! not the current ones!" Opaline yelled.

"ooh! yeah, that makes more sense" Iris responded.

"so, in ancient times, the sun and moon were raised by Celestia and Luna!" Sunny rambled, her horn and wings visible.

"so who raises the sun and moon now?" Izzy asked, walking beside the excited alicorn.

"its-" Sunny was cut off by a voice.

"itsssssssssssssssss" the voice called.

"me" CC finished, appearing just above the ground in front of them.

"hi CC" Izzy replied, walking past the hybrid.

"wha-" CC said, shocked at how little surprise Izzy had at seeing her.

"good to see you" Sunny told the hybrid, walking past her as well.

The two walked for a bit longer before being approached by an orange pegasus with a purple mane wearing a teal beanie covering her ears.

"hey, do you know a Kiwi Sunscout?" the orange pegasus asked Sunny, whose horn and wings had disappeared by then.

"uh, yes? she's my mom" Sunny nervously replied, never having met the pony before.

the orange pegasus squealed.

"I'm Lilylemon Sunscout!" the orange pegasus cheered, her ears twitching under her beanie.

"what!?" Sunny said, shocked.

"I moved here last week and then aunt CC told me my second cousin lives here!" Lily explained.

"your welcome" CC winked, appearing behind Sunny.

"Wha-" Sunny mumbled.

"I figured out from some files in the sheriff's office that both your parents are dead so I thought it would be nice for you to know at least one living family member" CC shrugged as she explained.

"my moms missing, not dead" Sunny replied.

CC hissed through her teeth at the sentence.

"you do not want to see the crevasse behind my castle" CC muttered.

"what?" Sunny responded before CC vanished.

"well, it was nice to meet you, bye!" Lily said, walking away.

"huh" Sunny muttered before she and Izzy began to walk again.

"Opaline, I found what you're looking for" Iris said, walking into the throne room of the tower.

"oh goodie, now all we need is a changeling" Opaline smirked, sitting up on her throne.

"a changeling?" Iris questioned.

"to disguise as one of her friends, and mentally break her" Opaline smiled.

"Ma'am she's not stupid, both Zap apple and Cheesecake died over two thousand years ago, she's not going to believe a regular pegasus or earth pony is still alive after so long" Iris replied.

"Dang it, did she know any ponies in her childhood who could be alive now?" Opaline asked.

"Well, there's princess Twilight but she was killed about a century after Cheesecake died" Iris explained.

"dang, forgot alicorns can be killed" Opaline muttered before a wicked smile appeared on her face.

"What about, Flurry heart?" she asked them.

"hey Pippsqueaks! welcome to my livestream!" Pipp said, holding her phone to show her in the bedroom of the brighthouse.

"wha- Pipp! How many times do I have to tell you not to film in here!?" Zipp yelled in the background, spinning her chair to face the pink pegasus.

"ugh, Zipp, it's my bedroom too" Pipp replied.

"its everypony who lives here's bedroom!" Zipp snapped.

"your so annoying" Pipp said, rolling her eyes while looking back at her phone.

a loud thud was suddenly heard outside.

The sisters quickly rushed to the window, Pipp switching the camera view on her phone on the way.

outside was a purple pegasus with a magenta, orange and light green mane.

"sorry! aimed too low!" the pegasus called out, many scratches and bruises forming underneath her coat while her wing was bent in a weird way.

the pegasus winced as she tried to move her injured wing.

somepony running out of the room could be heard behind the camera.

a few moments later, Zipp could be seen outside coming to the purple pegasus's aid.

and the stream ended.

"Hey Hitch- what are you doing?" Misty asked, walking into the sheriff's office.

"somepony broke in and messed up all my files" Hitch explained, sitting on the floor while sorting through case files.

"did they take anything?" Misty asked while walking over to him.

"no, but they left the case file about Sunny's mom being missing open on the counter" Hitch replied, putting another file in.

"why Sunny's mom?" Misty asked, brushing her hoof against her braid.

"no clue, the S category seemed the most messed up" Hitch said, pointing to the open cabinet labeled 'S'.

"that makes it seem like they might have been looking for stuff specifically about Sunny's family" Misty pointed out.

he froze for a moment before looking over at her.

"why didn't I think of that?" he asked, shocked.

"did those mane colors seem familiar to you?" Zipp asked as she began walking home with Pipp.

"not really" the pink pegasus replied.

"it was the same colors as that shockwave two and a half weeks ago" Zipp told her.

Pipp pondered for a moment before replying.

"oh yeah, I kind of forgot about it between the exploring ruins and investigating that mystery voice" Pipp said.

"do you think she's the pony who caused it?" Zipp asked.

"oh yeah totally, its called a sonic rainboom" CC said, appearing from nowhere.

"will you stop doing that!?" Zipp shrieked in surprise.

"what's a sonic rainboom?" Pipp asked.

"okay so" CC said, flipping over to look like she was sitting on air.

"basically, the faster a pegasus goes, the more like, magic gunk stuff or whatever they build up. the sonic rainboom is basically when their body releases it in one big, very loud, shockwave. this explanation is based on a theory that whenever somepony uses magic it leaves behind magic gunk stuff or something in their system that dissolves overtime and doesn't really effect the body in any huge way until the sonic rainboom levels. but they never figured out if it was true" CC explained.

"okay...so basically if we go fast enough we'll burst our eardrums?" Zipp replied.

"oh no, you go so fast you can't even hear it, just a stinging feeling throughout your body" CC responded.

"how do you know that?" Pipp asked.

"Rainbow dash told me, she was the only pony in history to do a sonic rainboom, up until two and a half weeks ago" CC said, avoiding eye contact at the name. it was almost like her very color dimmed as she spoke.

"its also said that pegasi with prosthetic wings can't do full sonic rainbooms, since there's less body for it to build up in. and if the theory is true, that would make sense" CC said, changing the topic.

"yeah, seems reasonable" Zipp shrugged.

"can you predict the future?" Pipp randomly asked.

"no, but I'd say I'm pretty wise, I'm quite good at predicting big things in advance" CC replied.

"hello" CC asked, opening the front door to her castle.

"hi CC!" Flurry Heart said.

a bolt of lightning electrocuted the alicorn, revealing them to really be a light blue skinned changeling in disguise.

their short cloak flowed through the air as they fell to the floor, unconscious.

"Flurry never calls me CC" the yellow mare said as she teleported the changeling away.

"hey Izzy" Sunny said, walking out of the bathroom.

"hey Sunny. why are your horn and wings visible?" Izzy asked from her crafting bench.

"no clue, they just appeared while I was washing my hooves" Sunny explained, stretching her wing and looking down at it.

"it'll go away in a few minutes like last time" Sunny shrugged.

"like last time?" Izzy repeated, completely stopping what she was doing.

"it randomly happened when I was making smoothies yesterday and then disappeared a few minutes later" Sunny explained while walking over to the couch.

"weird" Izzy replied before continuing her crafting.

"how long has it been now?" Sunny asked, lying on the couch.

Izzy looked over at the heavily decorated clock on her desk before replying.

"its been twenty-five minutes, just be patient" Izzy said, continuing to decorate the pillow she was working on.

Sunny groaned right before her horn and wings vanished.

"finally!" she cheered, sitting up.

"hey guys, we're back" Zipp said as she walked through the front door.

"shame you didn't come earlier, you missed watching Sunny whine about being in alicorn mode" Izzy remarked as Pipp appeared from behind the door.

"I was not whining" Sunny replied.

"sure you weren't" Izzy smirked before returning to her crafting.

"why were you in alicorn mode?" Zipp asked, walking over to the couch while Pipp disappeared upstairs.

"no idea, my horn and wings just appeared almost half an hour ago while I was on the toilet" Sunny responded before grabbing the remote and switching on the tv.

"well then your in for a shock!" CC joked, appearing on the armchair nearby.

"stop. just, stop" Zipp replied, scowling at her.

"get it? because pegasi can control the weather?" the hybrid continued.

"I don't get what that has to do with the conversation" Sunny stated.

"do you know why Flurry heart was born an alicorn?" CC asked.

"Flurry heart?" Zipp questioned.

"Flurry heart was the first pony in history to be born an alicorn" Sunny explained.

"she was born one because her mom, princess mi amore cadenza or whatever, was turned into an alicorn by princess Celestia" CC explained, summoning a slushi and small wooden spoon.

"just think about that last part will ya?" CC told her before disappearing once more, only leaving a book behind.

"is it just me, or is that girl weird?" Izzy asked from her desk.

"its not just you" Zipp replied while Sunny walked over to the armchair.

"what is this?" Sunny muttered under her breath. the book was wide, a picture of a green and purple pony with a pink horn and purple wings on the front, a white alicorn with a colorful mane at the bottom.

the door to a hair salon opened, the bell above ringing.

"oh sorry, we're closed right now, come back tomorrow!" Jazz said, holding a broom with her hooves.

"oh, I'm not looking for a mane styling" the blue pony replied, twirling her hoof behind the other.

"then what are you looking for?" Jazz asked, curious.

"I was wondering if you have any openings for a job?" the blue pony asked, her tail twitching.
