When the Witchlight Carnival suddenly appears, Dungeon Master instructs his young adventurers to attend it, in hopes of making contact with the archfey Zybilna so she can send them home. But there will be obstacles standing in their way along this whimsical journey in the Feywild, such as Venger.

The first time Presto ends up playing barber for the group, it somehow turns to a strangely intimate place with his fussiest customer.

The kids all make it back home, except for Eric, who uncharacteristically sacrifices himself during one final battle against an evil wizard to make sure Sheila makes it through. Back home, where no time has passed since they disappeared, Sheila is struggling with survival guilt. She decides she wants to find a way to go back and get Eric home. The story evolves from there.
