Elizabeth woke up to a knock at her bedroom door.
"Hey, wake up, Lizzie!" Lydia called from the other side.
"What is it, Lydia?" she groaned.
"Mr. Collins is busy talking to father right now, so if we hurry we can all go into Merryton without him coming along!" Lydia exclaimed.
"That seems very rude, Lydia," Elizabeth sighed.
"You know he's such a bore!"
"He is ridiculous, I'll admit, but he is our cousin."
"Well, you're going to miss seeing the officers, but I suppose you and Jane have other plans today?" Lydia asked.
"We don't have plans for today."
