ADDY'S PERSPECTIVE (22) …idk abt u, but im feeling 22!

I honestly couldn't believe Ava. Crystal could be annoying, but were they not best friends? Laughing at someone genuinely in pain was not okay. I guess it's not my business, and maybe Ava didn't see Crystal, but still…if I were in that situation I would have made sure she was okay before laughing at her. Or trying to make the situation into a rizz line, though I doubt Crystal would have appreciated that.

Speaking of Crystal…

She was sitting on the floor, curled up. She looked up, and her eyes widened at the sight of Ava. She scrambled to her feet and took a few steps back quickly.

She winced. Still covered in shards, she looked…mortal, I guess?

Surprisingly, her blood was not fully red, but it had something that looked like…

Glitter? Ugh.

WhY?

I always had a feeling she was a, "Sparkly rainbow fluffy unicorn!"

Like this song:

"Pink, fluffy unicorns dancing on rainbows!

Pink, fluffy unicorns dancing on rainbows!

Pink, fluffy unicorns dancing on rainbows!

Pink, fluffy unicorns dancing on rainbows!

Let's test your knowledge and see what you've learned so far!

What color are the unicorns?

Pink!

Where are they dancing?

Rainbows!

Please use one word to describe the texture of their magical fur

Smiles!

Yeah!

Pink, fluffy unicorns dancing on rainbows!

Pink, fluffy unicorns dancing on rainbows!

Pink, fluffy unicorns dancing on rainbows!

Pink, fluffy unicorns dancing on rainbows!

Pink, fluffy unicorns dancing on rainbows!

Pink, fluffy unicorns dancing on rainbows!

Pink, fluffy unicorns dancing on rainbows!

Pink, fluffy unicorns dancing on, dancing on rain"

Amazing, I know.

We all stared at each other awkwardly, the silence hair-crippling. (Except for my hair, of course, nothing could ever possibly ruin my gorgeous locks.)

Then, in a flash, somehow all of the glass shards disappeared.

I screamed like an alpha in shock.

Ava and Crystal looked at me, horrified at how preppy I could be.

They then glanced at each other and started laughing.

Crystal started to squeak like a mouse stuck in a sewer.

Seriously though, I was relieved. The tension seemed to be disappearing.

As soon as they were done losing their breaths, the awkward silence reappeared.

I gulped.

Ava bit her lip.

I wanted to say something weird like, "Why don't you bite Crystal's tongue instead?"

But of course this was not the right time.
She and Crystal seemed to be doing the thing that cognates do with their brain, staring at each other and not giving a second thought to me.

I gasped.

My alpha presence was not being noticed?!

HOW.

I opened my mouth to shout at them, then stopped. I decided to do the Don't Talk to Me dance instead. Unfortunately, they were still caught in the middle of what seemed to be a very intense mind-conversation. I decided to just wait it out.

Finally, after 10 whole minutes of third-wheeling, they hugged and I heard some sniffling.

I waited in the corner for a few more moments, making sure their mushiness had died down before I said, "Okay, so what about the anti-delulu pills?"

"I have the recipe for the less potent ones," Crystal said, holding up a sticky note. "Ava's going to check on the characters."

"Maybe you should come too," said Ava nervously. "Fitz scares me."

"You'll be fine. Just tell me if anything goes wrong," Crystal assured her. "Besides, I have to work on the pills."

Ugh. They were ignoring me again!?

"I'll go with you," I blurted.

Ava and Crystal scrutinized me.

"Alright," Ava finally decided. "She's better than nothing, I guess."

BIANA'S PERSPECTIVE (23)

I sprinted out of the building, looking for somewhere to hide from Sophie. Ugh. Why did she have to be so annoying? Everyone knew that BLACKPINK were dum-dums. She was living a life of delusion. Me, I was completely sane.

Ducking behind a bush to hide myself, I quickly looked around me. No one, except for a mean-looking orange cat. I hissed at it.

It started singing "Meow" by Meovv. I gave it a disgusted look. Meovv? Seriously? When it continued to sing, I picked up a rock lying next to me and threw it. The cat jumped and ran away. Good riddance. I sat back down, turning the volume up and belting along to Yunjin's voice.

"I'M A MESS, MESS, MESS, MESS, MESS, MESS, MESS-"

There was an ear-piercing shriek.

I jumped up, the music still playing in my ears. But I saw no one. Not even the cat. After double-checking the area, I flopped back onto the ground and continued singing.

"FEARLESS, SAY YES, WE DON'T DRESS TO IMPRESS."

"Hey!" shouted someone. "Dress to impress is a slay game! How dare you!"

For what felt like the hundredth time, I stood up and checked my surroundings. This time, a boy with silver bangs was standing there, glaring at me.

"Sophie told me that you were an un-preppy beta. I can see now that she was right," Tam said in an alpha voice. I prepared to back away, genuinely scared, but then I remembered: I was a fearnot. I wasn't afraid of BLACKPINK, and I wasn't afraid of Tam.

I held my phone out like a weapon. "I'm not afraid of you."

Tam started singing. "Sticking out your gyatt for the rizzler-"

"Okay, everyone shut up!" shouted someone I didn't recognize from behind me.

I turned to see a very short girl.

Wait…I remembered her! She was one of the two who showed me the glory of Le Sserafim. I bowed to her. "Thank you, oh wonderful-"

"Wait, you're bowing to her and not me?" demanded another girl. "How dare you? I'm the alpha here."

"NO!" Tam wailed. "THERE CAN ONLY BE ONE ALPHA, AND THAT'S ME!"

"Nah, you're a beta."

Tam began screaming and trying to attack the girl, but the other girl, the awesome one, held out her hands and suddenly Tam was trapped in a hot pink bubble.

"What are you doing out here?" asked the girl with the force-field powers, speaking to me as if I were a toddler on the verge of throwing a tantrum. "My name's Ava, and this is Addy. I think we should both just go back to the safehouse, right?"

I scowled, forgetting how wonderful she was as she tried to sweet-talk me. "I'm not a baby. You know that, right? So stop speaking to me in that voice. And I'm not going back to the safehouse. Sophie is there, and she won't let me listen to Le Sserafim."

"I wouldn't be so sure about that," said Addy, gesturing behind her and stepping to the side slightly. Sophie appeared, also trapped in a garishly colored bubble.

I stuck my tongue out at her.

She tried to hit me, but ended up smacking the side of the bubble and crying out in pain. I laughed.

"Okay," said Ava, sounding like she was about to throw a tantrum herself, "Why don't we just-"

She stopped, scrunching her forehead up as though concentrating very hard. "Wait…" she muttered.

*Meanwhile*

"YES!" Crystal shouted. She had followed her recipe and made the less potent pills. Closing her eyes, she transmitted to Ava: I DID IT! I'll teleport to the safehouse and we can distribute it.

She could imagine Ava wincing from far away as she said: Yeah, about that…Uh…Keefe tipped us off. Biana and Sophie are away from the safehouse, because they apparently have some sort of rivalry-

WHAT!? BIANA AND SOPHIE!? Crystal replied, shocked. But they're, like, besties!

Well, Ava replied dryly, That is what the anti-delulu pills are for, isn't it? We have the situation under control, don't worry. Sophie and Tam-

Crystal's eyes widened in shock. TAM!? HE HATES BIANA TOO? BUT WHAT ABOUT TIANA!? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO-

Listen, Ava said tiredly, Just go to the safehouse, okay? Bring the pills and we can get this over with once and for all.
