- Introduction: Darkness

Darkness: an entity born from the beginning and the end of all things, all times and multiverses. She didn't remember all, but any moment of true happiness or devastating sadness had marked through her core. Those memories, she did remember them at any time, and had marked her in her soul, her personality and her mission.

She is the darkness; she can travel through time and space, since the human laws for them don't apply to her. She's been training to change fates. But as failure after failure had proven her, not everything could be changed; some things were rooted in every time and multiverse.

She can travel as such, because, unknown for humanity, the darkness of the shadow of a tree in the middle of nowhere of a quirkless world can be the same shadow, or a fragment actually, of the shadow of a pyramid of Giza in 4500 AC. and also be the shadow of a ruined building in the after battle between Deku and All for One, for example.

She didn't abide by human laws but she's been compelled to abide to some rules:

1) To achieve individuality, sense of self, she mustn't get attached. She mustn't dedicate her all to one cause, one child, which could be the detriment of the rest of the times and universes and the rest of her children. She couldn't risk it all for one. If she did that, it would disintegrate her notion of self and distributed it in all the existences of darkness. One could say that, that individuality was just a point in all what meant being the darkness. And that existence wouldn't be risked for the accomplishment of an ego. She almost lost it once, with the Aztecs, she wouldn't do it twice.

2) If too much attachment was involved, not enough to be risky, but enough for her to consider do the risky thing. And that was almost everytime she met with her children. She would return to slumber, to minimize the risk of that self-perception being above the meaning of her existence. The slumber must be on the Tree of Life in order to do not damage the different multiverses and the construct of each net of space-time in the multiverse.

3) When in slumber, she needed a really loud wake up call, one that would be her guide. When awake, she needed the call as to permission to intervene in that time and space. Without the call, if she intervened, would have been an action of her own ego that would put in risk her individuality as a consequence of her attachment.

4) In order to preserve that individuality, in case of getting close to risky situations, as a backup plan, some measures were taken. Although as darkness she could have access to past, present and future of any time and space in the multiverse, she had to have her own sense of time, a lineal one. Starting from the moment she became Darkness going forward. So, as precaution, the knowledge of her future actions would be limited. If all individuality has a subconscious mind, then the subconsciousness of Darkness, in order to prevail its individuality, would block, as a barrier, that knowledge of the future. She could get access to it, but at the risk of destroying for good her own individuality.

So, for travel she needed a compass, one to show her where to go, where she is needed. Without that she coulnd't know where things have gone wrong, where she should intervene. Without that she would remain sleep most of the time. But she could never ignore the tingle in her core, the cries of her children, children of the darkness. She didn't know well how they came to be. But they were hers, without a doubt, no mother wouldn't recognize their children voice. After her birth and death, and since her awoken as Darkness, she has heard them and came to them no matter the time, place or universe. It's always been the same call, the desperate one, the one lost of all hope, the calling of the old and instinctive-like cry for one's mother.

Those things she cannot reverse or change, the rooted ones, she had learnt recently, that if she can accepts them and let them be as they should, she can change the afterwards with subtle touches that won't change the overall outcome of the situation or perception of the involved in that moment. She had learnt this from the most lovely ally she could ever imagined. With her she saved one of her child residing in the eyes of a funny man. He was called otherwise but she liked to call him Darkeye, he hated it, she believed so, since his face distorted when she called him that, but she loved that name either way. If he could beat her, then he could call himself however he wanted- it's what she thought while giggling to herself. Thing that rarely happened beside when she was thinking of her younger ones in the team.

She always had done like she felted, no one ever questioned since she was almost always alone. She helped but always disappeared. Since her children should be able to continue without her after helping. But if was after that loud call, a really really loud one, that her thousands years way of working changed for good and irreversible.

She never worked in teams, never with so young ones. Kindergartens should be a place in hell brought to earth, she was sure of it.
