Both the henchman and evil genius were currently standing on top of the landing deck, drenched in the light of the sun, waiting for the new hire to arrive. He looked towards his side at his boss.

Eli was standing carefully as he watched his colleague take a rather irritable stance with his arms crossed and was tapping his foot. A feeling made him need to say what everyone else had already told Victor from what he had been hearing so far.

"Are you sure about this? You know—." A hand was raised in front of Eli before he could finish as Victor stopped tapping his shoes against the floor while uncrossing his arms.

Victor rolled his eyes with large exasperation being felt in the very atmosphere despite him not letting any out as he turned his attention to him while waving him off. "Yes, yes. I KNOW. 'It's a bad idea.' Look, I am the evil genius here; you simply can't see the entire picture. Besides ELI, you're getting paid, are you not? So please—shh!"

They had already known what they were going to say. He didn't need to hear it from another person! 'HiRinG sOmEOnE as CrAzY as ThAt iS a BAd IDeA!' That's what they think! Those inept, halfwit moro-!

...

Alright, maybe he is getting a bit annoyed. He shouldn't overlook their concerns just because they said it was a bad idea (and he shouldn't get mad if some random minion said it was a bad idea); they did have a couple of points after all, and in retrospect this might be a bad idea.

It's just that they simply don't see the possibilities with this and the uses they shall have. All he needs to do is deal with the flamethrower... and any other weapons they may have when they come over.

Eli glanced at him for a couple more seconds before shrugging. "Alright, you're the boss." It's not like they wouldn't just kill the new hire if they weren't profitable to them or just send them back to RED.

Plus, Eli could say, "I told you so," as well as repeatedly remind him and make fun of him for it if this does fail... all in good humour, of course. If they survive.

Victor looked into the blue, clear sky as the water rushed below as he could hear the minions near the landing pad at work. He felt somewhat nervous deep down since there was a possibility that this might end terribly. This feeling only grew as he saw the helicopter approach with his possibly soon-to-be second henchman.

His internal thoughts only grew more apprehensive the closer the helicopter got. 'This is a fantastic idea... htis won't be TOO much of a pain to deal with... just deal with the flamethrower and act like how Miss Pauling, or whatever her name was, said to act around him... or her... or whatever they are.' He wasn't too sure what gender they were since they were either referred to as that thing or-

The helicopter took him out of his thoughts as he stepped back since it was right above them as he swallowed any apprehension he may have felt at that moment before steeling himself, masking any remaining doubts behind a mask he made for this brand new... recruit.

Both of them watched as the helicopter slowly descended before finally landing in front of them as the windows at the front lowered, showing a sweating Charlie in the cockpit. He looked at them, looking at the back before quickly turning to face the front, not turning his attention to anywhere else.

The doors of the helicopter opened as a figure stepped onto the stairs of the helicopter slowly, as they looked around where they had landed before spotting Victor and Eli.

A black gas mask, a red outfit, the flamethrower... pretty much looked like an exact replica of the one that attacked their base but wearing red where there was blue for that one.

It was the Red Pyro. Pyro, upon seeing them, quickly hopped off the stairs before walking towards them as the helicopter quickly closed its doors before taking off as Pyro turned around for a moment while continuing to walk towards them.

'Coward.' Eli thought as the Pyro approached them before standing right in front of them as they put both of their fists to their hips.

The Evil Genius decided it was best to finally introduce himself as he extended his hand to the Pyro. "Hello new-" 'Quick, think of a good name for them!' "-hire. I am your new boss. The name is Victor Greyson, but you can just call me Victor."

The Pyro began to speak as they proceeded to shake his hand quite enthusiastically, although quite aggressively. "Hmph HMMph Hurrahh Mmph hmmph."

Victor was unsure how to react to this as the rough handshake finished. First, he was unsure how Pyro reacted or what they just said. He would just have to guess and think they might have introduced themselves as he gave a polite smile to them. Time to butter them up. "Well, it's nice to meet you too. I have read up on your file. Very impressive from what I have seen." That was a lie since the Pyro's file was filled with question marks after receiving it.

They seemed to be pleased by this as they let out a hearty, muffled laugh as they placed one of their hands on their hips while waving off the compliment. Victor looked at the flamethrower on his back as he pondered and asked them a question. "I am presuming that flamethrower is your signature weapon. Right?"

Pyro seemed to pause before nodding as they took it out as they began to explain their flamethrower... he thinks. "Murr hurr mmmph, hurr mph phrr. Huddah mph Huddah murr?"

He simply nodded, not really thinking about what they just asked, just knowing he was asked a question. "Right." He walked beside them with Pyro just staring at them curiously, probably because a normal person would run when they pulled out a flamethrower, at least what Victor would presume normally happened.

Victor wrapped an arm around the Pyro's shoulder as he began to walk forward, pulling them along gently as he began to speak. "Now that you're here, I first have to say, "Welcome to the organization". Once we get into the base, we will have a minion help you do some quick paperwork before it's official." The Pyro looked at his arm around them before looking at him, making no motion to push him off as they walked towards the elevator with Eli following from behind just in case they tried anything or set Victor on fire.

"Murrph Murrph mmph Mmur murrah?" The Pyro seemed to ask, at least from what Victor could tell by their tone.

Victor decided to just agree once again with what they just said while nodding. "Yes."

Hearing this, the Pyro seemed to almost be giddy as they looked forward while clapping excitedly as Victor's eyes narrowed, wondering what he had agreed to as the Pyro gave him a thumbs up while speaking in the muffled talk. It was probably something about fire. He looked at the flamethrower as his mind quickly went to work as he snatched the flamethrower out of their hand as he loosened his grip.

It took a couple seconds for the Pyro to react as the elevator began to lower. They turned back to see their back empty of the flamethrower. They turned to look at Victor, who had the flamethrower in his hand slowly. A second passed as Eli was tense knowing what was about to happen as the Pyro lunged.

Both Victor and Eli had the Pyro restrained on the ground as Victor spoke calmly to not madden the already angry fire maniac. "Don't worry. I'll give you your flamethrower back. I just have to make a couple of adjustments to it."

"MMMMPH! MUDDAH MMMMPH MURRAH!" He suspected that he was just sworn at by the Pyro along with a rough translation to "You better sleep with one eye open" as they reached the bottom of the elevator. The doors opened as he called minions outside over. "EVERYONE! RESTRAIN THE PYRO NOW!" He issued out the orders as everyone who wasn't looking turned to face him with a couple of seconds at looking at what was going on, they finally realized what was happening before they finally acted.

The minions quickly came over to restrain him as he let go, letting them do it for him as he proceeded to walk off to the lab with the flamethrower in hand.

"Not to worry. This will only take a couple of hours. I promise it will be back in your hand before you know it." He told calmly as he turned to the Pyro before entering the base.

He could feel their glare still even after saying that, even with the minions blocking his line of view from them.

"What?" Wilson just looked at him before looking down at the flamethrower handed to him by his boss as he looked back at him. They were currently in the lab, and Wilson was just about to go on his break until Victor came in and began explaining the new task that he wanted him to do.

Victor had his arms crossed behind his back as he spoke without hesitation like before retelling what he JUST said. "I need you to build in ATP protocol into it. Aka, Agent Targeting Protocol, that way it won't harm any of the minions and only those pesky agents that come in."

Wilson just looked at him with a dead expression as he looked at the flamethrower. "...How would I even...?" He mumbled while trying to figure out how to even do that.

As the scientist pondered while mumbling, Victor let out and deleberate sigh to snap him out of it. He then reached behind his back and pulled out a blueprint before he gave it to his confused subordinate, who took it while putting the flamethrower down. Wilson unravelled the paper; it reveals schematics for a basic version of what Victor had just described.

Victor continued as Wilson looked it over, analyzing as his eyes showed his amazement. "Look, I just need you to build on this design or at least just put it on the flamethrower in the next couple of hours. It shouldn't be too much work. Will it?"

Wilson put on his lab goggles over his eyes as he scratched the back of his head while wondering how in the back of his mind his boss even had blueprints like this. "Well boss, it might take a bit longer than-"

"It shouldn't be too much work. Right?" Victor interrupted and repeated while giving a rather icy and fake smile to Wilson.

This was the point when Wilson became aware Victor wasn't asking; he was ordering him. He quickly complied. "Y-yes boss! I'll, um, get the other scientist and begin work immediately." He really needed to remember that he was working for an evil genius. He just kept forgetting.

His boss's face went back to a typical expression as he received a pat on the shoulder. "Good man." Victor turned around as the door opened as he continued to speak to him even while walking off. "I hope you will manage to complete it by sunset; otherwise, I fear my new subordinate might try and slash their way through to try and get their weapon back. I doubt you would remain in a single piece. Good luck."

Victor left with a small pep in his step while walking past, confused on why their boss was so jovial as he practically skipped down the polished hall of the Evil Lair. He was simply gloating to himself about how good he was at this. Hiring the Red Pyro? An absolute stroke of genius if he did say so himself. No matter what EVERYONE else said. Though he knew deep down he was definitely lying to himself just in case something bad actually does happen with this.

Add on top of that the modification he had created for the flamethrower for safety reasons after examining the damage caused by the BLUE Pyro and the possible damage to come from the RED. If he wasn't handed the best evil boss award by the end of the year, then he would say it's rigged... or maybe he would need to be a bad boss to win that award.

It didn't matter since by the end of the day he would (hopefully) have a new henchman and he created a modifcation in two days that he just needed his scientist to build upon and install onto the flamethrower. If he didn't deserve a break after all that then he didn't know what would.

Meanwhile, Wilson had placed the flamethrower on the table while trying to figure out how to install this shit in a couple of hours after calling over the other scientists who would be arriving shortly. He looked at the blueprints while trying to think of how to improve on them since they were kind of already good to go from what he was reading. He was unsure what he needed to change as he muttered to himself. "Maybe I can slap on a "don't kill your friends" sticker?"

"WILSON!" This shout from behind him made him recoil slightly until he recognized the voice as he got marginally annoyed as he spoke. "What do you want, Amanda? I am kind of busy right now."

Amanda rolled her eyes hearing this as she walked from the door to right next to him while placing her hands behind her back while leaning down to inspect of it looking at the flamethrower as she decided to just say what she was thinking. "Looks homemade."

"Of course, it i-...?" Wilson took a look at Amanda as his eyes grew surprised for a moment. She had become a Valet.

She glanced at him as she smirked before putting a hand on her hip while putting her elbow on the table while resting her head on her other hand while leaning against it. "Did something perhaps catch your eye? Notice the rank up? Or perhaps it's my imperceptible beauty~." She striked a pose with a hand on her face with much flair as possible

Dramatic as she just said that, she was correct, she did quite stunning… maybe? He couldn't really tell. What he was actually interested in was when she became one and how.

"How and why?" Wilson decided to just be direct and not waste time just in case she was trying to play coy and loose with it when he really couldn't waste any of it on this.

She simply smiled while glancing at her perfectly clean nails. "Well, a lot of the Valets died due to the Blue Pyro since they didn't get treated in time or were already burned to ash, so I decided to just take the position."

The Blue Pyro had killed an awful lot of minions. It wasn't too unexpected the ones that held roles would be replaced. Wilson decided to move on to quickly end this to finish this project. If she really wanted to talk they could talk later

"Alright, now what are you doing here? Shouldn't you be at the casino keeping it operational or be somewhere lese?" Wilson gave his best annoyed look at her.

She simply smirked while shrugging. "Oh, can't I visit my favorite scientist while on break?" Wilson just gave her the look as she waved her hand while fainting more dramatics as she placed on hand her chest as she arched backwards onto the wall. "Plus, it was getting a bit dull at front. After all, how many times can you watch people lose at rigged blackjack before it become as dull as elevator music? Besides, I could inspire you."

He rolled his eyes as he looked at the flamethrower while retorting and thinking at the same time. "Right... a cheating valet will inspire me. Look, I don't exactly need someone to breathe down my neck while a work. Well, another one, that would be the boss's job."

She pondered for a moment before walking close to him as she put both of her hands on his shoulders while she began to rub his shoulders as his eyes twitched while freezing up. "Hmm, but you seem tense, probably because you're going to die if you don't get this figured out." She mentioned casually. Wilson quickly moved the way of her hands as he turned around, doing his best to remain calm yet felt himself getting slightly ticked off underneath.

"Do not touch me again..." Take a lengthy breath to calm his nerves. "Just… please respect people's personal space. At least have some level of decency even if we work for an evil organization." There was simply no reason for people to keep needlessly touching him. It was a straightforward request, yet people seemingly kept disregarding it. He would probably throw acid on the next one that tries.

She shrugged before putting her hands up in defense while smirking. "Alright, alright. Geez. I'll get out of your hair... for now anyway. Just try not to fail. I would hate to see you get incinerated by that… uh, thing."

"Wow. Thanks for the vote of confidence." Wilson commented sarcastically as she had already begun to walk out.

She waved behind her, ready to go back to watching visitors lose again. "Anytime, babe."

"Ugh... Wait, what did she…?" He paused for a moment before he shook his head. Her calling him a bunch of whatever didn't help him in any way. He needed to be done VERY soon and couldn't have any more distraction from this less he wanted to be fired, literally.

Just as he was thinking this, the other scientists FINALLY got here. (What were they EVEN doing?)

After one more coffee break and 10 more minutes wasted from being pestered by his co-workers (and throwing acid), they had finally finished making the modifications on the flamethrower.

They calculated a 50% chance the Pyro wouldn't get mad from the modifications to their flamethrower. Wilson also decided to add the sticker just in case since the modifications didn't work and the Pyro could still set them on fire.

Hopefully the boss would be impressed by the work (if it even works).
