My helmet tells me that a group of knights has entered the tunnels and are now searching for more hidden passages. They aren't alone; both Sea Town and Star City are investigating their parts of the tunnels, it doesn't take long for them to find several more tunnels that go deep into the badlands.

Silently we each go into the tunnels, each of us following either the footprints or small pieces of fur that were left behind by the intruders.

I stop walking when I find that the footprints stop at a wall that is once again sealed with wet dirt and mud. I can see the area where it was sealed so I try to force it open just like I did the time before, unfortunately, the tunnel collapses and the path in front of me is lost.

The other knights report that the tunnels that they were following had collapsed, this wasn't an accident, something or someone had prepared for this moment and made sure that they couldn't be followed.

With no other options, I had no choice but to turn back and close the tunnel that I found. As I pulled myself out of the water line, I found a pair of cold blue eyes looking at me, while a group of soldiers carried the unconscious bodies of those I had left behind earlier to a safe location.

"I thought you hated strangers.' she says to me before grabbing my helmet and taking it off my head. The darkness of the night nearly blinds me, but my eyes adjust after a moment, and I'm able to see her soft yet hard expression.

"What are you doing here?" I ask her while looking past her, she notices that my eyes are on the knights before smirking and placing her head on my breastplate.

"The council wants to expand again, they want to build three more settlements so they can ." I stop her from saying anything by grabbing her shoulder and pushing her away.

"We are already spread as we are, not to mention the attacks that keep showing up." I say to her, but the woman just places the tips of her fingers on my chin.

"It's pointless to tell me that, you should tell them.' I feel her grab the edge of my breastplate before she pulls me down, and only stops when her lips are inches from my own.

"My girls found something a few days ago. Go to the red house and you will see, I can't tell you everything." she says to me before she kisses me, I don't know how long our lips meet but by the time she pulls away the soldiers are gone.

I want to go to the council room, but I know that my words won't do anything. We chose the council members not because they were the smartest or most powerful among us but because they were the most capable.

I put my helmet back on and I noticed the messages and reports from the other knights, everyone was saying the same thing. The rest of the investigation was up to the city guard.

I know that I should head to the Red House but I can do it in the morning. I'm exhausted, despite the powerful body that I was given, I still need to rest.

Most of the people who see the inside of my house are surprised to see how empty it is. There is only a sofa, a table, a small radio, and a fireplace. I do have a kitchen and other things that a person needs to live in but I don't like most of the things that the people of this world make.

There's something strangely relaxing about being able to sit down and relax after a long day of hard work. I don't have a lot of time to cook so most of the food I have are either vegetables or dry fish. I do have some dry meat but there aren't enough animals for me to have a lot of it.

The fireplace turns on by itself. I don't know how it works but it's supposed to do that whenever it gets so cold that the ice can enter the inside of my house. I can feel the temperature becoming warmer and without knowing it I close my eyes and let sleep take me.

The smell of eggs being cooked along with the delicious smell of baked sausages greets me before I open my eyes.

"I was waiting for you." A familiar voice says to me before a placate is placed on the kitchen table.

I turn to look at the owner of the voice and I'm not surprised to see her there. For some reason, she has taken it upon herself to wake me and make me something to eat whenever we see each other.

I watch her in silence, I don't know when her presence became something comforting to me, I just know that I get worried whenever I wake up and find that she isn't here. I know that she has her own life and that she doesn't owe me anything, but…. I just like knowing that she is here.

"Five days ago, a group of adventurers found the remnants of an army of goblins, but they weren't alone, there were a bunch of Ogres among the dead," I said to her before sitting in front of her.

I watch as she finishes making her plate and sits in front of me." I wonder what killed them, everything is food for them." she says to me before signaling to me that I haven't eaten anything.

I can feel her eyes on me, but I can't help but smile when I take the first bite of the food she made for me.

" So I was wondering if I could bring a couple of things over." she says to me before turning to look at the empty walls of my house.

"As long as it's not something that I can knock over when I'm drunk" She smiles even more at me before she reminds me that I don't drink.
