A/N: PLEASE stop messaging me about artwork. I'm in middle school. I'm not doing it

Chapter 2

The First Day

To be honest, I hadn't expected the door to Class 1-A to be as big as it was. I pushed it open to see Glasses and Spiky arguing.

"Please remove your feet from the desk!" he said, waving his arms robotically in the air. "You are disrespecting this school."

I walked over to them since my desk was over there, but then Spiky smirked. "Huh? Did you school shove a stick up your *ss or were you just born with it?"

Once I was close enough, I kicked one of the back legs of the chair, causing Spiky to fall and hit his head. He got up and snapped at me. "HUH? WHAT THE HELL'S YOUR DEAL?"

"Nothing, except, I don't like bullies or people who can't control their temper. Something tells me you're going to be a problem."

"SAY THAT AGAIN, COPYCLONE!"

"'Copyclone'?" I repeated. "Oh! 'Cause we both have explosion Quirks, I see. No, my Quirk's my own." I looked at Glasses. "You're welcome."

I put my stuff down in my seat right as Glasses came up to me. Spiky was now standing up and glaring at me, clenching his fist. "May I ask for your name?"

"Sure. Name's Rumi Umiyagi, but you can just call me Rumi." Mumbling Boy, who had been standing at the door talking to Rubble Girl, turned around and stared at me. So did Spiky, his eyes going soft.

"Rumi?" he asked, softly. Glasses turned to him, confused.

"Yeah…" Spiky suddenly seemed familiar. "Do I know you? Other than the entrance exam, of course."

He was about to say something when a familiar voice came from the doorway. "If you're here to make friends, I suggest packing your bags and leaving."

I looked over and smiled as everyone looked on in shock. There, at the door, was Aizawa in a bright yellow sleeping bag drinking apple juice. He stood up, getting out of the sleeping bag before looking at us. "Hello. My name is Shouta Aizawa. I'm your teacher."

"This guy's our teacher?!" everyone but me and Spiky exclaimed.

"We're going to start with a Quirk apprehension test. Go ahead and grab your gym uniforms. Meet me outside."

No one said anything. They simply went to the left wall and grabbed their suitcases according to their number. As I grabbed mine, Mumbling Boy came up to me.

"Wow! I can't believe it's you, Rumi!" he exclaimed. "It feels like forever since we've seen you! Where did you go?"

"Hah?" I racked my brain again, but didn't recognize him. "Sorry, ADD. What's your name?"

"Oh, right! My name's Izuku Midoriya."

"Midoriya, Midoriya…" Suddenly, I remembered something. "Wait, I thought your name was Deku?"

Midoriya winced. "No, that's what Kacchan calls me. It's more of an insult than anything."

"Oh, I'm sorry! If I call you Deku again, just remind me." I pointed to Spiky. "What about him? He also seems familiar."

Spiky must've heard me because he turned to me. "It's Katsuki Bakugou."

"Bakugou…oh! You're the person I beat in the entrance exam."

"Yeah," he scowled, "and I'm also an old friend of yours from our childhood, but I suppose you don't remember that either."

I winced as Deku waved his hands. "Come on, Kacchan! Y-you know she has ADD! She can't control what she remembers and doesn't!"

"Whatever." Bakugou walked away and I turned to Deku, who sighed.

"Sorry about him," Deku said. "Come on. Let's catch up with the others."

I nodded. "Right."

When we were all gathered together, Aizawa explained what we were doing; Using our Quirks to the greatest of their abilities.

"Oh," Aizawa said, "and whoever gets last will be sent home."

"What?!" several people exclaimed, including Deku. I looked at Aizawa, seeing a glint in his eye. He's lying. I realized.

"This is my class, my rules. Either you stick with them, or you can go ahead and leave right now." Aizawa grinned. "So you better show me everything you've got."

I nodded as he pulled out a baseball. "Bakugou, what's the furthest you threw a baseball in high school?"

Spiky-Bakugou-shrugged. "I dun'know. Seventy meters."

Aizawa tossed the baseball to Bakugou. "I want you to throw this using your Quirk this time."

Bakugou walked up to the plate and did a couple stretches with a calm expression on his face before bringing his arm back.

"DIE!" he shouted, sending a massive explosion into the baseball, sending it flying. Bakugou breathed heavily as Aizawa checked the score on his phone.

A yellow haired boy squinted at the result. "750 meters? That's it?"

I sighed, realizing this kid was most likely dyslexic. Bakugou had gotten 705.2 meters. "Good job, Bakugou." Bakugou nodded, rejoining the crowd. "Alright, who wants to go next?" I raised my hand as Bakugou scowled at me. "Rumi."

I walked up and took the second baseball. I stood on the plate and focused my Quirk to an Indigo Wave, the fourth strongest. I felt my hair change into the Indigo Flame color as I opened my eyes, reeled back, and threw the baseball with an explosion that created a sonic boom.

The second the ball had left my hand, I fell over in exhaustion. The bird people didn't train me much in my Indigo or Violet Waves, so I wasn't as adjusted as I was with White and Blue.

I heard the beep from Aizawa's phone. He showed it to the class as I laid there, too tired to move. I heard a bunch of gasps and a couple shouts from Bakugou and I knew I had showed him up.

"What's the score?" I asked, sitting up.

Aizawa looked back at his phone. "You got 1100.78 meters."

"D*mn." After I had gotten back up, we watched other people go as Bakugou yelled at me. We ended up both getting shown up by Rubble Girl, who got a score of infinity.

After that, we did more practical stuff that others would've done in high school like running, long jump, weight lifting, all sorts of stuff.

In the end, Aizawa pulled up the results for everyone to see. I had, thankfully, gotten in the top ten. Deku, however, had gotten dead last.

It made sense, considering her had broken his finger in the baseball throw. Of course, Aizawa had been lying from the start, as I had expected.

He made a wide grin. "That was just a deception to make sure you all did your best!"

"Are you kidding me?!" half the class exclaimed.

The Hot Girl shook her head. "Come on, it was kind of obvious. I'm sorry, I should've said something."

"Yeah, you should've," everyone agreed.

"I can't believe our own teacher would lie to us on the first day!" Invisagirl exclaimed, changing out of her gym uniform.

"Same here!" Pink Girl agreed, slipping back into her uniform. "But, on another topic…" She turned to me, grinning. "Are you and Bakugou related?"

"Um, not that I know of," I answered truthfully.

"Really?" Rubble Girl asked. "Why would you ask that? Rumi and Bakugou are nothing alike!"

"Nuh-uh." Pink Girl started listing on her fingers. "They're both blonde. They both have explosion related Quirks…uhm…" I laughed, pulling my tank top off as Pink Girl laughed as well. "Okay, you win. You two aren't related."

"And that's that!"

"Rumi…" Hot Girl said behind me. "...what's that on your back?"

"Hmm?" I tried peeking around, but I could find what she was talking about.

"That looks like a Quirk Trafficking tattoo, ribbit," Frog Girl commented.

"Wait, really?" The girls started crowding around me as Hot Girl continued talking.

"I learned about these markings. Rumi, were you trafficked at one point?"

I nodded and the others gasped in shock. "But don't worry! It's all in the past now. I ran away a year ago and, as far as I know, they haven't tried looking for me again."

"Oh my god, Rumi, that's horrible!" Invisagirl cried, hugging me. The others joined in and I felt bad that I hadn't told any of them about my ADD and memory problems yet.

"Like I said, it's all in the past. Plus, I don't remember much of it." When they looked at me in shock, I sighed. "I have severe ADD-" Hot Girl looked like she understood immediately. "-and I don't remember things as easily as you guys do. I don't even know your names."

"Well, we can fix that!" Pink Girl said. "If you sit with us at lunch, we'll say our names a lot so that you can remember. I'm Mina Ashido! Go ahead and call me Mina if that's easier."

The rest introduced themselves to me. Frog Girl was Tsuyu Asui, but she wanted us to call her Tsu. Rubble Girl was Ochaco Uraraka. Invisagirl was Toru Hagakure. The girl with the ears was Kyouka Jirou and Hot Girl was Momo Yaoyorozu, but she told me that she's cool with being called Momo.

"Thank you guys so much," I said. "This means a lot."

"Of course!" Uraraka said, smiling.

"Do you have a place to stay?" Momo asked. "If not, you can always stay at my place. My family won't mind."

I shook my head. "Thanks, but I've actually been staying with Aizawa Sensei since I escaped."

"You're living with our teacher?!" the others exclaimed.

"It wasn't weird before you said it like that," I admitted, wide eyed. "Now it's really weird."

"Hell yeah, it is," Jirou said, finishing her tie. "Okay, come on, girls. We should hurry up before the boys start trying to come in here."

Mina groaned. "Why did we have to be put in a class with so many boys?"

I laughed, pulling the dress shirt back on as Momo thought about it. "Male genes are typically more dominant and determine multiple things about one's self. It's possible that the male genes carry the stronger Quirks while the female genes give out other factors into the Quirk."

Tsu nodded, understanding. "And since there are more male than female, the stronger Quirks are given to the male, ribbit."

"Great, now my brain hurts," Mina complained.

"You did ask," I said.

"I know…ooh! Who do we think is the hottest boy in our class?" The other girls hummed in excitement. "I'll go first! It has got to be Todoroki!"

"Which one's Todoroki?" I asked.

"Red and white hair," Momo said. "Sits next to me. And, honestly, I agree with Ashido."

"Alright, that's two for Todoroki! Tsu?"

"Hmm, I don't know. I guess Tokoyami's okay, ribbit."

"Is that the bird guy?" Momo nodded.

"Two for Todoroki, one for Tokoyami. Uraraka?"

Uraraka blushed. "Oh, um…I guess Midoriya's kind of cute…"

"Midoriya?!" Mina exclaimed. "Well, fine. Two Todoroki, one Tokoyami, and one Midoriya. Jirou?"

Jirou looked up from her phone. "Oh, um…do I have to pick?"

"Yes."

"Fine. Kaminari."

"Seriously?"

"I don't actually care."

"Todoroki's still in the lead!" Mina turned to Toru, who had just finished getting dressed. "Hagakure?"

"Todoroki's pretty hot too," Toru agreed.

"Todoroki gets three points. Rumi? Wanna pitch in?"

I shook my head. "No matter who I picked, Todoroki would still win."

"Fair enough. Todoroki is the winner!"

I laughed, buttoning my jacket before following the other girls out. When we got back to the classroom, we were still waiting on three of the boys. We went to our seats as we waited for everyone to get back. Once everyone had been seated, Aizawa said that in a bit, he'd show us to the lunchroom, where we would eat and follow him back to the classroom.

After that, the combat training would begin.
