Here we are chapter 2! I also wanted to let you all know that while this is Danny Phantom, I'm going to write them as normal teenagers and not Nickelodeon teenagers. So normal teenage antics will be taking place in my season 4. I hope you still like it!

An early Holiday Present :) Hope you all enjoy!

A few days later at school, Danny and Sam were talking by his locker, waiting for Tucker to get out of his last class.

"Do you know if Tucker has called Melody yet?" Sam asked.

"No, I was actually gonna ask you," Danny said as he organized his books to decide which ones to take home. "I was trying to talk to him about it yesterday after we dropped you off, but I couldn't get anything out of him. Anytime I mentioned Melody, he would get a glossy look over his eyes."

"Glossy look? Huh, sounds like someone we know, right Manson?" Dash interjected, trying to joke. Ever since the Disasteroid, Dash had been on a quest to befriend his old punching bag and while Danny had decided to be civil with Dash, he didn't think that anything could be said or done to have them be friends. Too much bullying had happened in their history. Sam on the other hand had no desire to play civil with Dash. She thought his change of character was due to Danny's revealed status now, and she believed that Dash would try to use Danny. That's why every time Dash would interject, she would either retort with a sarcastic remark, cross her arms over her chest and glare at him, or walk away entirely. Today, she had chosen to cross her arms and glare at him.

Dash started to sweat under pressure, "you know? Because you two are dating, and you guys liking each other isn't a secret anymore…" Dash cowered a bit under Sam's hardened glare. "What I'm saying is that Fenton's eyes also become glossy when it's about you…"

"I think we get it, Dash," Danny said trying to get Dash to stop talking and to ease Sam's tense glare. Just then, a familiar blue mist escaped Danny's lips, alerting him that a ghost was nearby. Danny turned into his ghost form, which replaced his black hair with snow white hair, blue eyes with green eyes, and his normal everyday attire to his black and white suit with the DP emblem on his chest.

Sam reached into her backpack to take a Fenton Gun out and the Fenton Thermos, ready to suck the ghost in.

"Where is it?" Dash asked, sliding behind Sam for protection. It was a funny site, seeing a big jock guy hide behind a petite small goth girl; his fear made Sam chuckle a bit.

Danny kept quiet to listen for any foreign sounds that could be coming from his unknown opponent. The entire hallway seemed to go down a few degrees, signifying that the ghost was nearby.

At the end of the hallway, Danny saw a figure wearing a black trench coat with a red mask covering their face.

Danny charged up an ecto blast in his hand, ready for an attack. "And you are?"

The figure responded by raising her manicured nails up at Danny and shot an ecto blast at him. Danny quickly formed a shield around him, Sam and Dash.

"Not talkative, huh?" Danny said, shooting his own ecto blast at the figure. The figure brought their own shield up to deflect Danny's attack, but they weren't fast enough to block themselves from Danny lunging at them.

Danny grabbed their coat and pinned them to the wall. "So the way these fights go is the bad guy, that's you, makes their introduction then the good guy, that's me, tells the bad guy to get lost. Usually the bad guy doesn't so fighting ensues, witty banter is exchanged, the works and then the bad guy is taken to the ghost zone by yours truly," Danny raised an eyebrow looking at the ghost before him, "so if you're not gonna say anything, we can just send you back to the gh-"

Danny was cut off by the ghost grabbing his arms and sending electric shocks through his body. Danny screamed at the sudden pain coursing through his body. He tried to let go, but it was as if he was frozen in place.

"Danny!" Sam screamed, running towards Danny and the ghost.

The ghost looked over Danny's shoulder seeing Sam running towards them. They lifted one hand from Danny and pointed to Sam. The ghost sent an electric shock ball to Sam, who was flung to the other end of the hallway, now writhing and screaming in pain. Dash, still caught up in the chaos of it all, ran to Sam to help her.

At Sam's scream, Danny focused all of his concentration and power on the ghost in front of him and sent his own ice current to the ghost, effectively freezing the hand that was still on Danny.

With the shock now at bay, Danny pushed the ghost off of him and shot a more powerful than usual ecto ray at the ghost. The ghost flung into the wall and left a dent as they slid down.

Danny ran for the thermos that Sam had dropped ready to suck the ghost in, but when he turned back, they were gone.

"Damn it," he grunted. Accepting the end of the fight, Danny ran over to Sam who was only dealing with aftershocks now. "Sam, are you okay?"

"She hasn't said anything since," Dash blurted out, showing his nerves right on his face and through his voice.

Danny, thinking of ways to stop the electric shocks, came up with an idea. He wasn't entirely fond of it, but he needed to stop the shocks. "Hang on, Sam," Dash, taking the hint, took his hands off of Sam for Danny. Danny placed his hands on her arms and focused on his cold energy radiating off of him and into her.

As the cold seeped into her body, Sam stopped writhing in pain as the aftershocks stopped. Feeling her body settle, Danny stopped sending the cold through her. When he looked at her face, he saw that her lips had turned blue and her face was flush.

"Dash, go to my locker and get my jacket," Danny ordered not taking his eyes off of Sam.

Dash ran to Danny's locker to retrieve the article of clothing he demanded. "I'm sorry, Sam," Danny said, transforming back to his human half so he was not exuding any unnecessary cold.

"I-I-it's g-good that you p-p-p-pay at-t-tenion in s-science," Sam managed to say. Danny gave a warm smile to her, rubbing his hands on her arms to bring some warmth back to her.

Dash ran back with Danny's jacket and held it for Danny to take, "here you go."

Danny took the jacket and wrapped Sam in it. He helped her up so that she was sitting against the lockers.

Danny looked up at Dash with an appreciative smile, "Thanks, Dash."

Dash waved his hand to brush Danny's appreciation off, "It was nothing."

Sam knew she should thank Dash, not that she liked it. She held the jacket close to her as she looked up at Dash, "Thanks," she grumbled.

Dash's eyes lit up at Sam's words. He had been putting a lot of effort recently to befriend the entire trio, and that one word was a big step forward for him. "Anything for the hero's girlfriend," he said, ruining the moment.

"D-don't p-push it," Sam held up a warning finger.

"Right," Dash said quickly. He placed his hands behind his back feeling awkward about the entire encounter. "Well, I guess I should go now, see you guys later," he said as he walked towards the school entrance.

Danny still had his arms wrapped around Sam as he tried to warm her up. "We've never had that b-before," Sam said referring to the ghost with the electric shocks.

Danny nodded, "Yeah, I wasn't a fan of the shocks," he joked.

"You and m-me both," Sam responded half-heartedly.

Tucker rounded the corner, still in a daze, but quickly got out of it as he saw his friends on the floor and Sam looking close to hypothermia. "What'd I miss?"

"A new ghost. This one has shocking powers," Danny replied.

"So how did Sam end up on the brink of freezing?" Tucker raised an eyebrow looking at his friend's state.

Keeping her from talking more than she needed, Danny spoke up for her, "the ghost set an electric ball at Sam and I had to use some of my ice powers to stop the aftershocks."

"Look who pays attention in science!" Tucker noticed the Fenton Thermos near them and pointed at it, "So it's over?"

Danny shook his head and stood up, bringing Sam up to her feet. He grabbed the Fenton Thermos and handed it over to Tucker. "No such luck."

"Aw, sorry guys," Tucker said, fumbling with something in his pocket.

"It's okay, we'll get them next time," Danny said.

"But now that you're h-here," Sam said lightly, nudging Tucker, "any news on M-melody?"

At her name, a shade of pink lightly painted Tucker's cheeks.

"Aw, Sam, he's blushing," Danny joked. Sam pouted and did a dramatic "aw' in Tucker's face.

There were so many times that Tucker pointed out their own blushy moments and taunted their feelings, that it felt good giving the same treatment back after all these years.

"Yeah, yeah rub it in. I'm still not as bad as you two," Tucker said.

"Oh really?" Danny said. He brought his hand up, to which Sam caught on, she rolled Danny's jacket sleeve up and grabbed his hand with her own, to imitate Tucker's first meeting with Melody. "Sorry, my hands are really sweaty and you were shopping, duh, we're at the mall."

"Oh yeah, sorry what was your name again?" Sam continued.

"My name is…my name…my…" Danny broke, unable to finish due to his and Sam's laughter.

"It wasn't that bad!" Tucker exclaimed, putting his hands on his hips.

"No, not at all!" Sam said in between laughs.

"So have you called her yet?" Danny asked, wiping a tear from his eye.

Tucker produced the crumpled-up paper that contained Melody's number out of his pocket. "Not yet."

"What are you waiting for?" Danny asked.

"Oh I don't know, for her to realize the mistake she made giving me her number. I could end up calling her and she could easily go," Tucker held his hand up to his ear as a phone, "'who's this?' I don't want that! It's better to not do anything and just enjoy the moment that happened."

"Absolutely not," Sam said, grabbing Tucker's hand that held the number. Danny knew what she was doing, and stealthily turned Tucker's phone intangible to slide it out of his pocket. "I saw the way she looked at you and she's interested. You are going to call her and ask her out. This Saturday."

Tucker blew an exasperated breath out and crossed his arms over his chest, "I'm not going to do anything I don't want to!"

"Oh you want to do this," Danny said, passing the phone behind his back to Sam. Tucker saw the twinkle in his friends' eyes which usually meant they were up to no good. His eyes widened when he realized he wasn't holding the paper anymore. He nearly shrieked when he saw Sam was holding his phone and dialing a number from the paper in her other hand.

"No!" Tucker lunged but was stopped as Danny blocked him from Sam. He held Tucker back as Sam quickly dialed the number. "Guys, stop! I'm not ready for it! I'll call her on my own I promise!"

Sam held the phone to her ear and waited for it to be picked up. Once she heard a greeting on the other end, she brought the phone to Tucker's ear.

"I pro - hello?" Tucker said, bringing his voice down. "Oh hey Melody, this is Tucker," Tucker waited for her response as he looked at his friends who were giving him encouraging smiles, holding their thumbs up. He responded by bringing a finger to his throat and slicing it, threatening them.

"Yeah, Tucker from the mall," Tucker responded lightly, releasing the tension in his shoulders.

"Ha, ha, yeah it was really nice meeting you too," Tucker paused to let Melody talk. "Yeah, I'm glad I called you too."

Tucker rolled his eyes as Danny and Sam gave each other a high-five.

"Yeah, so I was wondering- oh yeah. Yeah, that sounds good. Sure. See ya then." Tucker finished as he hung up the phone.

"So?" Danny asked, waving his hands for Tucker to spill.

"She asked me out, this Saturday."

"See! Look at that!" Danny clapped Tucker on the back as a congratulations.

"I like her already. She doesn't wait for a man to ask her out," Sam said, nodding her approval of Melody.

"Yeah, so we're going to that new restaurant in town. It's at 7 so we'll see you guys there," Tucker said quickly, turning over to the front entrance.

"Woah woah woah, wait!" Danny and Sam spat out, running in front of Tucker to stop him from making his exit.

"What do you mean, 'see you guys there'?" Danny asked.

Tucker chuckled nervously, "Well, I heard that they have a really nice vegetarian selection."

"We know, we've been there," Sam responded through gritted teeth.

"Yeah for our own date. That was just the two of us," Danny finished.

"Isn't that something," Tucker said as he shuffled between the two, trying to find an escape, "you know how dates can be two people, and then can turn into four. A double date! Hey, it's a party!"

Danny and Sam groaned at Tucker's confirmation. How did they get sucked into a double date when they were trying to help their friend?

"Tucker, don't you think you two should go on a date alone?" Sam said, trying a new angle.

"It's the first one. And you guys should get to know each other before we all go on a double date," Danny reasoned.

"She was the one who suggested it. And I agreed. Maybe she's just as nervous as me, and having you guys as a buffer could help," Tucker said, raising his hands up defensively.

Sam and Danny looked over at the friend who was shaking with nerves and then looked at each other. Another thing the two made more of a habit of than before was to have silent conversations with their eyes. Somehow they always knew what the other was saying and it would sometimes annoy Tucker. However, this time, he was hoping they would agree with him. Reluctantly, they both looked over to Tucker and sighed.

"Okay, we'll do it," Danny said. Tucker ran to his friends to envelope them in a big hug.

"Oh, you guys are the best friends a guy could ask for!" Tucker then skipped out of the school leaving Danny and Sam dumbfounded.

"No good deed goes unpunished," Sam sighed as she and Danny followed Tucker.
