The students of Casper High watched Danny and Sam and they walked to their normal table for lunch. They weren't staring to catch a glimpse of the couple's affection for each other, but rather because Danny was leaving an ice trail behind him with every step, causing unaware students to slip. Danny's latest victim was Mr. Lancer as he was paying attention to the book in his hand instead of where he was walking.

Mr. Lancer's eyes widened as he felt his feet come out from under him, and slid unceremoniously on the ice. "Ethan Frome what is the meaning of this?!" He exclaimed as some of the students tried to hold back their chuckles.

Danny groaned as he was already fed up with his powers acting up. When they got to their table, Danny slumped into his seat and pounded his head on the table. Sam placed her hand on his shoulder for support.

"It's okay, Danny…"

"No, this is awful," Danny said raising his head to look at Sam. "My powers haven't acted like this since I first got them. I don't understand why this is happening!" Danny raised his hand in frustration and shot an ecto blast at the tree behind them. Danny quickly brought his hand back, covering it with his other one afraid to cause more damage. "Gah! It's like I don't have any control over them!"

Sam placed her hand over his, and brought her other hand on his chin, making him look at her. He physically relaxed as she gave him a small smile, "It's okay. We'll figure this out, like we always do."

Sensing he needed a change of subject, Sam asked him what he was going to say earlier, "What's the problem you mentioned before?"

Danny sighed, "I think Melody may be that electricity ghost."

Sam moved her head back and raised an eyebrow, "Melody? As in Tucker's Melody?" Danny nodded.

"Wow, are you sure it was Melody?" Sam asked

"Remember that birthmark that Tucker said looked like Florida? The ghost that I fought earlier had that same mark in the same place," Danny said as he looked over his shoulder for Tucker; he didn't want to chance Tucker walking in on this conversation. Not seeing Tucker, Danny turned back to Sam who was deep in thought, looking down at the table.

"It doesn't make sense," Sam said turning over to Danny. "How come when we were at the mall, your ghost sense didn't go off?"

Danny thought of Sam's question and shrugged, "Maybe she's using something that blocks my sense?"

Danny gasped as he thought of his fight earlier on the roof finally remembering a key detail, "Sam, she had to have been blocking my ghost sense somehow! And she must be the reason why my powers aren't working!"

"Why do you say that?"

"Earlier on the roof, she injected me with something," Danny said bringing his face into his hands, "Ugh and now my powers don't work because of whatever she did!"

Sam looked up on the roof and decided on her next move. Danny saw the look in her eye and got worried, "What are you thinking about?"

Sam waved his concern off, "I'm gonna check out the roof and see if the syringe is there. If so, we'll bring it to your parents and see if they're able to discern what chemical properties were in it to block your control. There has to be an antidote they can create," Sam opened her salad but still looked as if she were deep in thought.

"What about the date? We have to figure out for sure if Melody is a ghost or not before it."

"Well, there's only one way we'll know if Melody is a ghost for sure…"

Sam's eyes widened, "Oh no. No, no way."

Danny nodded with conviction, "it's the only way, Sam."

Sam slapped the table with the palm of her hands, "Haven't we learned our lesson when it comes to spying? People just end up getting hurt!"

"This is different." Danny said putting his hand over Sam's and giving her a loving smile, "We spied on each other because we were jealous. We're doing this to protect Tucker."

Sam shook her head, "Tucker really likes this girl, Danny. If he finds out, he'll never forgive us."

"And if Tucker gets hurt, we'll never forgive ourselves."

Sam groaned. They were shoved between a rock and a hard place, with no good options out.

Finally, she sighed and turned back to Danny. "Fine. When Tucker comes, you distract him as I get his phone."

"Why would you need his phone?" Danny asked raising an eyebrow, not understanding Sam's plan.

"Tucker isn't the only one here who can trace people. I've got my ways."

Danny wiggled his eyebrows suggestively and leaned closer to her, "oh you do? What other 'ways' do you have?"

Sam giggled and scooted closer to him, "if we finish our spying adventure early, maybe I can show you my ways."

Before they could kiss, Danny phased through the bench landing hard on the ground. Sam tried her best to hold her chuckle back when he gave her an annoyed look. "Don't you dare."

"At least you didn't fire another ecto blast," Sam retorted, giving him a mischievous smile.

"I heard about that," Tucker said, announcing his presence by placing his tray on their table. "What's been going on with your powers, dude? A bit haywired?"

"You could say that," Danny said as he got back up and in his seat.

"Well, hopefully, they're back to normal for the date tomorrow. I wouldn't want you to shoot an ecto blast in the restaurant," Tucker said, chuckling under his breath.

"Yeah, that would be the worst," Danny replied sarcastically, but Tucker didn't catch it.

Tucker took his phone out of his pocket, sending a quick text and placed it on the table. Danny and Sam looked at each other having a silent conversation.

"Again, with the eyes. What are you guys talking about now?" Tucker asked, annoyed.

"We're just trying to figure out what's going on with Danny's powers," Sam shrugged nonchalantly. Tucker shrugged and went back to his food as Danny eyed his phone. Before he could get a word out, his ghost sense escaped his lips.

"Oh no," Danny said turning around to see 'Sparky,' floating above him. Everyone in the area screamed but waited in anticipation for Danny's transformation.

"Uh, hey Sparky, how's it going?" Danny asked stalling. For the first time in a long time, he was nervous to turn ghost since he couldn't trust his powers to work for him.

"I could ask you the very same question," Sparky said with a low growl. Danny and Sam looked at each other both trying to decide if that sounded like Melody or not. Neither being entirely sure, Danny shifted his attention back at Sparky and Sam looked over to Tucker to see that he was staring up at the ghost. Taking the moment of distraction, she quickly grabbed Tucker's phone and shoved it in her pocket.

Sparky threw a lightning ball at the trio's table. All three jumped out of the way as the blast landed on their table, leaving the table in a burnt heap. "Well, we could use that as an excuse for Tucker's phone suddenly disappearing," Danny thought.

"Uh, dude, now would be a good time to go ghost," Tucker nudged Danny. Danny brought his hands in the air as he brought the white-blue rings around his body. Now standing as Phantom, Danny carefully floated up to Sparky.

"I see you can still transform," Sparky noted.

Danny furrowed his eyebrows and squinted his eyes. "Yeah, so you wanna tell me what you injected me with?!"

"Consider it a gift to me," Sparky stated as she threw a lighting ball at him, to which Danny quickly dodged instead of using a shield.

"What's that supposed to mean?!" Danny asked as he tried to shoot an ecto blast. He concentrated on his outstretched hand and shot an ecto blast, only his aim was completely off. He grunted out of frustration.

"It'll be far easier to take you out now!" Sparky shouted as she created a lighting blast to shoot at him.

As the lightning blast started coming towards Danny, he knew that he would have to erect a shield, rather than dodge this one as it was too big and would cause serious damage. He clenched his teeth as he brought his hands down creating a shield in front of him. From the sudden impact, the lightning blast created smoke around Danny. He coughed a bit before having to move his body to the side as Sparky lunged forward trying to grab him.

"Tucker we have to help him!" Sam said grabbing a Fenton gun and the Fenton thermos out of her bag. She threw the thermos at Tucker as they ran over to the roof for a better shot.

"You need to chill out!" Danny yelled as he sent an ice blast to Sparky. Unfortunately, his ice attack wasn't as powerful or fast as it usually is, so Sparky could dodge it and shoot another lightning blast at him quickly.

"This is getting annoying," Danny grumbled. Suddenly, he changed back to Fenton in the air. Being caught off guard, he fell down a bit before getting control over his powers again and floated cautiously in the air. "Now, it's officially annoying."

Sparky only laughed as she prepared another attack, only for her hand to be shot back by an ecto blast produced by the Fenton gun. Danny and Sparky turned over to see Sam on the roof holding the gun as smoke escaped the barrel.

"Consider the playing field leveled, sweetheart!" Sam called out, casting a glare on Sparky. Danny could hear Sparky growl as she lunged over to Sam.

"Sam! Run!" Danny shouted not trusting himself to shoot an ecto ray, afraid it would hit Sam instead.

Sparky was a few yards away from getting Sam when Tucker stood up from his position with the Fenton Thermos in hand. Sparky skidded to a stop in the air and flew away as fast as they could.

"Damn it! Usually, the newbies don't know about the thermos," Tucker said shaking the thermos. Danny flew over to his friends hovering just a foot from the roof until he shifted back into Fenton and fell.

"Dude, you have got to get a handle on your powers," Tucker chided.

Danny glared at him as he stood up, "Oh yeah? Well maybe if M-"

"Danny!" Sam shouted. Danny and Tucker looked over to Sam who held the empty syringe. "I found it. C'mon, let's ditch and go over to your house."

Uh oh. Kind of feels like tension is surfacing between Tucker and Danny...Hopefully, they resolve whatever issue they have quickly!
