Waking up has never felt so nice~

My body feels completely relaxed like I slept in a cloud, or a particularly fluffy mattress. Sadly, it's not even a few seconds later that my nose scrunches up when a particular smell assaults me, and I feel sticky all over for some reason…

''Mhmm… Ugh.'' At the sound of another voice, I open my eyes. In front of me is none other than my friend (girlfriend?) Koneko, resting on my chest while still half naked from last night and looking relaxed yet groggy.

''Well, this is certainly a way to wake up.'' Her golden eyes look up at my amused words, staring at me for a moment before scrunching her face up when she takes a whiff of the air.

''Senpai… you stink. Not in a good way either.'' She states, and I wonder how can one even stink in a good way…?

''You don't particularly smell like flowers, Koneko.'' Even if she stated a much more insulting statement, I'm still the one getting slapped in the arm.

Eh, fair.

She gets up, finally giving me the space to do the same. Looking around, I can see some of our clothes discarded around the couch we slept on the entirety of the night.

That makes me remember; that today's a school day. It takes me less than a second to pull my phone out and look at the time. We still have around an hour and a half before the entrance bell rings.

I take a look at Koneko, then my phone again, and I get the idea of what anyone would think right now.

''Want to fool around in the shower? We have enough time.'' I think yesterday made me a bit bolder, but Koneko's unflinching eyes bore into me, no sign of being surprised at my statement.

I don't think I'm good enough at reading people yet. Is she thinking about it or planning to punt me across the door?

''Sure. Don't waste water, though.'' Her impassive eyes seem to light up once more. Mere embers of the lustful fire they were yesterday, but still…

I'll take it as a win~

We, indeed, did not have enough time for sexy times in the shower.

It must have been around an hour later (she didn't let me go, but won't admit it) of playful touches and a bit of 'starting the morning in a happy mood' for us. The moment Koneko's alarm went off, we dressed up as quickly as possible without tripping ourselves.

That brings us to the present, where we are sprinting, without supernatural strength so as to not make a scene, across the streets of Kuoh, with hastily put-on uniforms.

''I'm going to kick your ass, Senpai.'' Even while running, Koneko's voice is not affected by the past 10 minutes of dashing we made.

''That's physical abuse! I'll call the police and tell them my girlfriend is abusive!'' Even with Sona's reprimands on the line, I can't help but laugh and poke fun at her. My answer was a blushing Koneko who grumbled things I couldn't understand and a middle finger.

Ha! I take that as my victory!

Even if we focused on running, we reached the gates of Kuoh Academy around ten minutes late. On those same imposing gates stood one black-haired girl with glasses and violet eyes. She stares at us as we slow down and stop right in front of her.

''May I know the explanation for this tardiness? Toujou-San? Fumigami-San?'' Sheesh. That is the annoyed tone she used when I arrived late at the school's tour. Her foot is tapping impatiently against the floor while she has an eyebrow up questioningly. The barely noticeable bags under her eyes tell me she may be a bit more pissed off because of other stuff.

Stuff that probably has to do with me, actually.

''Ah. I'm sorry, Shitori-San. I was really busy doing some stuff and lost track of time.'' I sweatdrop at her unimpressed look. Yet, she just sighs and turns to Koneko next.

The glint in the cat girl's eye does not inspire any confidence in me, and her looking at my form briefly before addressing Sona's question inspires me even less.

''I'm stuff.'' She states plainly.

There's a beat of silence between the three of us. Sona looks puzzled before her eyes widen in realization and her cheeks take a pinkish color.

And of course, we take the moment to dash past her and run to the school's building. I openly laugh out loud while Koneko maintains a smug smile.

''Come back here, you irresponsible perverts!'' We, of course, don't do that. Separating and going to our respective classrooms before the big bad School Council President can unfairly punish us.

Man, I'm going to hear about that one later.

Worth it~

-Asia Argento POV-

Looking at myself in the mirror, I can't help but smile at the clothing Miss Rias provided for me. The white sundress with yellow lines really accentuates my hair, is what she told me, and I can't help but agree!

Yet, when staring at my own eyes in the mirror… I can't help but feel something missing.

The doctor said I have 'amnesia'. I haven't forgotten everything, but my name, my childhood, and… my home?

That… that's all gone. I'm grateful for this second chance Miss Rias gave me, joining the supposed 'evil' side that mythology and religion always speaks about was really different than what I thought.

Even if I was a 'nun', I was received with open arms by them. Even the blonde Knight; Yuuto, who I was told had a difficult time with the church, only expressed warmth and helpfulness.

Rias told me she was going to bring a close friend today. Someone who can help me not remember, but at least know who I was before… I lost my memory.

Yet… Do I really want to remember? The people here have been so good to me. Something in my chest filled to the brim with joy every time we shared a meal and spoke about our day.

Maybe I should-

KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK.

''Little nun, are you ready? Our dear Mr. Fumigami is waiting for you~'' Akeno's voice says from the other side of my temporary bedroom.

''Yes, in a minute!'' I call out with a smile. One more time, I take a look in the mirror. I take a few strands of long, blonde hair from my eyes. Deep emerald orbs staring right back at me, and I can't help but smile.

I open the door, and behind it is Miss Rias's Queen; Akeno. She greets me with a 'Good morning' and a smile. She's so elegant all the time. I hope I can be like that one day!

As we walk through the old building, I can't help the nervousness on my chest. Will Rias's friend be nice? I hope so…

''Are you worried?'' Akeno asks with a smile. ''Don't be, Fumigami is a sweet boy, if a bit troublesome. He seems to make friends with everybody, really~''

I can feel a bit of tension leave my shoulders. If Akeno speaks that well about him, then he must be a really great person. The nervousness in my belly turns to excitement at the prospect of making a new friend.

Taking one step into the common room, I can see that everyone is gathered here. Yuuto is enjoying a cup of tea while talking with Miss Rias, while Sachi is playing on her phone while sitting cross-legged on an individual couch-

Ah. I guess that's him?

On a bigger couch meant for at least three people, is Koneko, enjoying a chocolate treat. By her side is a dark-haired man with bright hazel eyes. He's wearing the school's uniform and has his long hair tied into a sleek ponytail.

By the open smile on his face as he chats up with Koneko. I can tell that my fears were unfounded! Thank- um… Satan…?

They seem very close. Oh! Is this the same person Akeno keeps teasing Koneko about? Then he must be Koneko's partner, right?

''Ah, we meet again, blonde nun. This time in better circumstances too.'' The man- Mr. Fumigami seems to have finished speaking with Koneko and addressed me instead. His tone is so friendly too!

The residents' eyes turn to me after his comment, and I get a small greeting from everybody, one I give back with a smile. Finally, I give him a bow since that's the proper way in Japan. (Right?) ''Yes, It's a pleasure to meet you, Mr Fumigami!''

He chuckles, and I raise my head. Is… Is this not the proper greeting? Ah! Did I mess it up…?

''No need to be so formal. Now, I don't feel like addressing you using adjectives, so how about we get your name first?'' Ah- Right now?! Don't I have to do something for this to work or…?

Suddenly, his hazel eyes seem to become ablaze with hidden power. His glowing orbs seemingly stare through me instead of at me. Or at least, that's how it feels…

A shiver goes through my spine, and a moment later the lost eyes are gone, replaced by the same bright ones from before. I release a breath that I didn't know I was holding and give a wobbly smile to him.

''Well… this is a bit complicated.'' Fumigami starts while taking a look at Miss Rias and then at me. ''I… can give you two options right now. Either I only give out your name, or I spill the important bits of everything I just saw.''

Rias steps up from behind me, putting a hand on my shoulder and giving me a reassuring squeeze. She frowns while looking at Fumigami. ''Is it that bad?'' She asks softly.

He doesn't miss a beat. ''Yes. Pretty bad. If she doesn't want to, I won't say anything. I could see that she's much happier now than she was before. So, maybe it would be for the better for her to not know. I can always write you a report later.'' With a shrug and a polite smile, he turns his gaze to me, a question deep in her eyes.

I also get a similar look from Miss Rias and a few concerned looks from Yuuto and Sachi.

I…

Do I really need to know? If it's really that bad…

I don't want whatever I lived through to ruin the happiness I found here. Even if just a short amount of time passes, I feel like… like I belong here already.

''I…'' Staring at his eyes. I can see no judgment. Fumigami is here to give me a choice, and to comply with my decision. Turning my eyes around, I can only see support from everyone here. In their own reserved or open ways.

''I would prefer not to know.'' Is my decision.

A beat of silence. Here's hoping it's the right one…

''Alright then.'' Another smile, bigger this time. ''It's a pleasure to meet you, Asia Argento. I'm Zatren Fumigami, and as a fellow immigrant, I welcome you to Japan!''

My eyes widen in surprise. Even if I was told so… He really is a kind person, isn't he?

Asia Argento… It feels like it just fits. Like a missing puzzle piece that is rather obviously missing in perspective, but you couldn't find.

A single moment next passes, before I'm hugged from the side by a beaming Rias. Sachi, being the extrovert she is, joins in on the hug as Akeno and Kiba share a laugh, and even the impassive face of Koneko breaks into a small smile.

It seems…

I'm home.

-Zatren Fumigami POV-

Man. I love happy endings~

Even with memory loss, that girl just keeps being a ray of sunshine, huh? Still, I couldn't stay for the happy moment, since I got a message earlier from Sona (in a really dry form of texting, by the way) asking if I could go to the Student Council Room. Supposedly, it's about time for me to get finally reincarnated, but I think she also wants to chew my ear off for earlier.

''Why are you coming with me again, Rias-Senpai?'' I ask the redhead walking side by side with me. Thank Satan classes are already over. I don't have to deal with rumors spreading about 'The Delinquent Prince' and 'The Beauty of Kuoh'.

They would invent something like the Beauty and the Beast if they could. Assholes.

''Can't I? I just want to see my Kouhai finally stepping in with us. Is it so bad?~'' Her tone is chirp, and while someone may assume it's from what happened just earlier, I think there's something else there.

Something I don't know, and she does. That's why she has an air of smugness.

Shrugging at her answer. We just keep on going. [Lying Detector] didn't go off, so I believe is nothing to worry about. We chat about assignments and our next little session of 'I get magic lessons; she gets an anime buddy' until we finally reach the classroom that serves as the Student's Council room.

Giving a few knocks, I almost immediately get a 'Come on in' from what I guess is Tsubaki's voice. I open the door and step in with Rias following close behind.

''Hello, Sen-Pai~ I'm here for my race change and taking some responsibility for…-'' The moment I walk into the room, my eyes dart from Sona herself, who looks embarrassed and done with life at the same time, her Queen at her side, Momo sitting on a couch with a few stacks of paperwork in hand, and the rest of the peerage I haven't met before. ''…earlier.''

The one that has me absolutely flabbergasted, is the black-haired woman dressed all up in a pink magical girl outfit. Black sleeves cover her arms, and a pink crop top with a black belt covers her torso. She wears a pink mini-skirt, and her (quite nice) legs are covered by fuchsia and black thigh-highs. In her hand, there's a pink staff with a purple, decorative gem at the very top.

She's also wearing a bow on her head that separates her long hair into twin tails. Her pinkish/violet eyes stare at my form with a friendly smile and hidden amusement.

Oh, and before I forget; She's the SATAN-DAMN Leviathan. You know, one of the four people who lead the Devil Race? With enough raw power to probably sink all of Japan?

Before I can stop myself, I use [Observe] on her and-

1 #1123…

I wince at the large amount of pure gibberish. The woman in front of me raised an eyebrow in curiosity.

Wait, can she feel that? I had this same question with Sona a month ago, but her sister is definitively a more experienced Devil…

Well… In hard situations like this, there's only one thing to do.

I put on a surprised face, fake awe filling my eyes as I turn from Serafall to Sona. I give a big smile and make sure to put a bit of a show in my tone. ''Sona-Senpai. You didn't tell me Magical Girls also existed!''

The room fell silent at my words. A low snicker started behind me and slowly became a full-blown laugh. Momo and Tsubaki looked at each other before trying to hide their own smirks. The people I have yet to know looked either amused or impassive.

A loud thud can be heard from Serafall's chair as she rapidly gets up and spins around, her 'magical' staff following her movements as sparkles, which I suspect are actually tiny shards of ice, cover the room.

''Of course! I'm the Magical Girl Levi-Tan, protector of Kuoh Town!'' Serafall herself seems to play along, taking the opportunity to show off her tricks with a big smile. I give her a round of applause, and with it, I can hear another thud coming from Sona's desk.

Ah, that was her forehead hitting the hard pine wood. Hands cover her head as she experiences the biggest form of embarrassment. The one only an older sibling can bring when doing something off-putting.

Well, off-putting for her, I'm having a blast~

After the laughter and the theatrics die down, I'm encouraged to sit down in front of Sona's desk. The same girl looked at me with a pointed stare that promised eternal suffering should I indulge in her sister's antics any longer.

Same sister who is staring at us with a smile, one that hides something behind that I can't decipher. Not like I expected I could, this is a centuries-old Devil and ruler of a race, she must have perfected some kind of poker face to deal with all the political mumbo-jumbo.

''I was told to come here for my reincarnation, yes?'' I decide to be the one to break up the ice (Ha!). Sona's stare dropped in favor of the change in topic. Not a moment later, a small black wooden box practically materializes on top of the table.

Not even a 'It's so good to see you!', Senpai? Such a cold-hearted woman~

I'm on a roll with the ice jokes today.

-Serafall Leviathan POV-

I have to say, this boy Sona talked about wasn't exactly what I had pictured in my mind from what she told me.

At least he knows to recognize the might of a Magical Girl when he sees one. Brownie points for you, Zatren-Kun~

''I have two pieces for which I believe you have an aptitude, Fumigami-San-'' Sona-Tan starts but is cut off by the black-haired boy.

''Ah, come on, Sona-Senpai. I believe we were past the formalities already~'' He speaks playfully, tease clear in his voice.

My eyes narrow ever so slightly. It's easier to decipher someone when you have them in front of you than by paper or digital reports alone. So, it's pretty easy for me to figure out that this young man seems to be interested in my dear little sister.

Contrary to popular belief, I'm not a super over-protective sibling (no matter what Ayuka says). While I worry for her safety, especially taking into account recent events, this doesn't seem like one of those situations in which I should break some kneecaps.

''Ah… I guess you're right. My apologies, Zatren-San.'' And judging by the rosiness on Sona's cheeks, she's quite on her way to falling for this boy's charm. I'll keep my eye on him, though.

Sona opens up the wooden box, inside there's an incomplete set of chess. Evil pieces, to be exact. One Rook, one Knight, and seven pawns. All of the pieces get taken out, Sona looks at them in contemplation, and Zatren in curiosity.

It's weird to think of someone joining up with us for practically no benefit. This guy is certainly a talented mage, with a Sacred Gear, and has a rate of improvement that's sincerely astounding. He will gain a lot more by being a contracted magician, yet he decides to 'serve' under one of Kuoh's Kings.

Is it because of lust? For fear? For connections to powerful people?

What are your secrets, Za-tren-Kun?~

His name is a bit of a mouthful. Should I just use Za-Kun?

My musings are over the moment Sona picks up the Knight piece. She gets up and approaches her soon-to-be peerage member with a resolute look on her face.

''I believe this is the best fit for you, Zatren-San. From what I've seen, you're not only fluent in the magic department but also in close combat. That and the fact you use polearm-esque weapons makes me think the speed boost a Knight piece brings is the best fit.'' She states. Analytical as always, such a prodigious mind is to be expected from my little sister~

''Sounds good to me, hit me with it.'' Zatren gives only a smile in return before a mischievous glint enters his eyes. ''Ah, does it need skin contact? I guess I could take off my uniform if Senpai were to ask me…~''

He's a fun one, that's for sure. Maybe that will help Sona take out that stick she shoved up her perfectly round ass all those years ago~

''No need! It can be done with clothes!'' Sona almost shouts in embarrassment. Her hand twitches and her case of blushing gets slightly worse with each teasing from the black-haired boy.

Now that I think about it… If he were to use some glasses and violet contact lenses…~

His hair is a bit too long, though.

In quick succession, the Knight piece is put above a laid-back Za-Kun. The black, crystal-like object brightens up in red sparks. The ritual seemingly goes well as the piece slowly tries to sink inside the flesh.

Only for a blue spark to flash, and the Knight piece to bounce off. Well, that's one piece down. That's a clear indication of the Reincarnation Ritual failing, probably due to the chess piece not being enough. So, three 'points' are not enough for him.

So-Tan doesn't seem deterred, but Zatren's relaxed look changes slightly. His eyes seem to focus on a specific point in the air before looking at the discarded Knight.

The Rook is next. The process lasts longer this time, but it's equally rejected a few seconds later. Making Sona frown and her foot to start nervously tapping against the floor.

Five points is not enough either? Hmm… His Sacred Gear must be really up there. That, or his magical potential in the combination of it is making the Reincarnation harder.

Seven pawns are next. The pieces spark and rebound without fail, and I'm even slightly glad at this. Don't get me wrong, having a powerful Pawn is great, but they're supposed to be your frontlines, Scouters, etc. Having only two of them can get pretty problematic in the right (wrong?) circumstance.

''That's… a bit disappointing.'' The well of potential in the form of a student speaks with a complicated frown on his face. He's not wrong, it would be bad if I didn't convince Ayuka to help me out with this.

Rias-Tan steps up from where she was observing against the wall. She seems ecstatic but also worried. I can understand, because if this were to fail, the only other option would be for me to reincarnate him and pass him up to Sona.

My adorable little sister looks at me with a resigned expression. A request clear on her lips that I don't even need to hear.

From one of my Magical Girl's pockets (Yes, not even being a Magical Girl will take the convenience of pockets away from me) I take out two Rook pieces. They look like any other Evil Piece, but they have something extra done to them.

I throw the chess pieces to the two Kings, who catch them easily enough. Zatren looks intrigued at this but decides to keep silent.

A moment later, a different pair of Rooks is handed to me; the King's original Rooks.

''Huh. I didn't think that could be done.'' Zatren decides to break his silence. Glowing eyes staring intently at the Rooks I handed to my sister and her childhood friend. ''It's certainly a change I wasn't expecting.''

Did he just understand the functionality of these modified Rooks by just taking a look at them? Don't tell me I have a second Ayuka in my hands…

That knight-less woman is entirely too much. I can't even count the amount of times I had to drag her out of her personal laboratory.

And no, I'm not referring to her as 'knight-less' because she doesn't have Knight Pieces.

Now that I think about it, his eyes glowed too when he first looked at me, and then he recoiled as if struck. Was he trying to gather information from me? Bad boy, Za-Kun~

And here I came with gifts for him. Such an impolite brat. Hmph.

''Are you against it…?'' Sona asks with a nervous tinge to her tone, but Rias only gives a big smile and a wink to him.

''Not at all. It will be a bit strange at first, but my life got filled to the top with 'strange' these past weeks.'' He shrugs, and that is approval enough for both Rias and Sona to step up and place the two Rook Pieces on his chest.

The same person is being bound to two Kings. It's certainly something that hasn't been done before. Not even with married Devils who legally 'share' the same rights over peerage members. Not because it can't be done, but because it could prove to be inconvenient or just silly for most.

That, and you actually need Ayuka herself to toggle on such an option. Not really something you would bother one of the strongest Devils about.

Red sparks flash anew. The Rook pieces sink slowly but surely as the combined might of two Kings and the ten-point value of the chess pieces work to Reincarnate Zatren Fumigami.

''Oh, those are enough.'' He suddenly states, only for the pieces to abruptly merge with him. A show of red light and blue sparks covered his body from head to toe.

When the light show dies down. Zatren is no longer in his school uniform nor is he sitting in a chair. An elegant black coat covers his torso and reaches up to his thighs. A red spear with green, vein-like marks covering a handle made of leather. Black and red, spiky protrusions extending from where a blood-red gem rests in the middle of such a weapon.

My eyebrow rises in curiosity as he spins his weapon with practiced ease and quite beautiful flair before slamming the bottom part into the ground. His hazel-colored eyes look at the confused faces of his Kings.

Then, in a calm but resounding voice, he speaks in a completely different tone that is pretty different from before.

''I shall answer your call. I am your Servant, Lancer. With this spear, I will be your strength. Let's do our best, Masters.''

Did he…?

''AHAHAHA!'' Just like that, Rias is immediately wheezing on the floor. Tears run down her face as she laughs. Simultaneously, Sona just stares with the deadest deadpan I have ever seen. The light in her eyes vanished as if she was dead from the inside.

Momo, Sona's Bishop, also snickers on her hand, while her Queen and the rest just look on confused at the scene.

''I… I can't believe you just did, ahah… A Servant summoning phrase with a straight face!'' Rias says between laughs. I can hear Sona murmuring things like 'This is my life now'', too.

''I'm just built like that.'' Zatren easily answers before dismissing his coat and weapon. A big smirk on his face as lets out a few laughs himself.

You really know how to pick them, Sona-Tan. Could I maybe interest him in being part of my show? Hehe~

-Nightime. Zatren Fumigami POV-

With my Reincarnation concluded, introductions followed. I just had to meet Sona's remaining peerage members, all of them students, contrary to what I thought.

Reya Kusaka. Sona's second Bishop and the one in charge of information gathering and espionage. Even if she was one year my senior, she was soft-spoken and pretty introverted. Brown-haired and with long twin tails tied into braids. I think she may be the one who gathered information about me for Sona.

Tomoe Meguri; Sona's Knight. A reddish-haired girl, with brown eyes and really social. I'm talking about 'exhausting my own social battery' level of social. Curiously enough, she also had her hair tied into twin tails. Is that just a thing around here?

Tsubasa Yura. She's my fellow Rook and sports a tomboyish look. Blue eyes and matching shoulder-length hair. She's… kind of a mix between calm and collected, while also being really passionate.

Ruruku Rimura. Last unknown member and the most… eccentric, maybe. Hair tied in long, brown twin tails with cutesy pink hair clips. Also, the only student I've seen wearing stockings around here, brownie points for that even if lime and forest green is not a color I would wear. And… like Sachi, she has a past of being a bit of a delinquent.

With introductions made, I got kind of 'stolen away' by Sona's sister. I was wholeheartedly expecting 'the shovel talk'. Instead, I got some tips to embarrass Sona even further (like trying a cutesy nickname) and a fricking house.

Yes. I got a house that looks more like a mansion than anything, accompanied by a stack of money that was transferred to my account (I didn't even have one. When the fuck did that happen?).

''This is nothing, really. Even if it was not your first intention, you probably saved my and Sirchez's sister from that mess. A house and cash is the least I can do. You have my number, if you're in a tight spot, I can lend a hand~''

Just like that, I'm the owner of my own house with money to spare and a… Devil phone? It supposedly connects to the underworld in general and lets me search in… the Devilnet.

Seriously, who comes up with these names?

Ah… The other thing is…

''Almost forgot. Ayuka was really interested in… whatever you have going on with yourself. A bunch of scientific mumbo jumbo I don't get paid to understand with some magic theory on the side. So sorry if you wake up tied to a lab table. Toodles~''

And she just teleported right off with the Sitri magical circle that's now marked down in my house.

So, besides the fact that the Devil's Society equivalent of Albert Einstein probably wants to experiment on me. Everything is pretty neat.

''Look at the size of this thing! You can probably fit around 20 people in here!'' Mittelt's excited voice sounds from the other room. She's also pretty much right, the place is huge. How am I even going to keep it clean?

Walking up to the room Mittelt's in, I can see it's a big Kitchen. Double refrigerator, a freezer on the side, a good wooden counter to comfortably cook in, and a lot of cabinets in which to store ingredients.

Cabinets which Mittelt is raiding in search of food since the things at our old apartment are pretty much moved in already.

You would think the petite Fallen would dress up like she did before the whole 'abandoned church' even, since I gave her funds for buying up clothes a few days ago. She indeed bought them, but while on the house she prefers using one of her (my) oversized shirts. No pants whatsoever.

Which now gives me a nice view of her perky, panty-clad ass moving slightly from side to side as she rummages through the cereal cabinet.

I'm almost tempted to give it a good slap. Almost.

Walking up to her, I take her by the shirt before dragging her out of the cabinet. A raised eyebrow pointed at the offended Fallen as I lifted her whole weight with just a hand.

''We just had dinner, you food gremlin. Come on, I need to talk to you about something.'' My tone seems to send a twinge of worry inside her, but it certainly doesn't show on her heatless stare.

A short walk later, I put her down on one comfy couch, inside what I guess is either a common room or a meeting lounge. If there is a difference, I certainly don't know it.

Mittelt stares at me intently and in silence, seemingly expecting me to start the conversation. I sit from across her and take the opportunity to enjoy the eye candy a bit more.

Ah, whatever. I'll just do this quick, like ripping off a Band-Aid.

''You need to get stronger,'' I state. That makes her eyes narrow down, but since there's no outright hostility or mocking in my tone, she doesn't outright curse at me. ''I know you also want to get strong. So, the deal is me getting a strong loyal ally, and you get make those who called you weak shove it up their asses.''

''That sounds nice and all, but how are you planning on doing that?'' She asks in genuine confusion. ''It's not like regular training can help me much, and combat training will only end up amping my overall skill, but not my strength. Unless you have some kind of secret magical training up your sleeve?''

I allow a few chuckles as I bring out one of my screens. One that actually got revealed to me just a few days earlier. This, obviously makes me look even more deranged than I already am to my 'roommate'.

''That's the thing. My sexy little crow. I kind of have~'' My shit-eating smirk couldn't get any wider, especially after seeing Mittelt just blush with narrowed eyes at my compliment. You may not believe it, but she actually likes it when I call her 'Little Crow'. Kind of like a pet name.

''Tell me… How much do you know about videogames?''

[Party System].

You may choose a minimum of 1, and a maximum of 5 allies to include in a 'Party' with you. Those who accept being in it will experience increased Growth via sheer combat. Not nearly as much as you, but every little sand grain is needed to build up a castle.

The Growth increase will divide itself among the members of the Party.

Oh yeah. It's all coming together~

Author Notes:

Alright! New chapter with some things being resolved on the side.

I honestly struggle so hard with making a scene with multiple people. Idk if I'm doing it right, but I feel that if I were to add more of a reaction from the extra people, it will be way too long of a scene.

Anyway. Originally, Zatren was going to be only Sona's peerage member, then I remembered shit like 'Rias couldn't reincarnate Issei unless she used EIGHT pawns'. So, how would that shit apply to a gamer with a legendary weapon? This is the best and most convenient (for plot) option I could think of.

Also, can anyone be reincarnated by two different Devils in canon? Probably not! But my source is that 'I made it the fuck up!'

Also, If Zatren absorbed the Boosted Gear before this, not even both of them could have reincarnated him. I'm estimating him to be worth something around 16 to 18 pawns (So, two Queen pieces max) if we added the Boosted Gear early. (Take note that this is just because of Sona and Rias trying to reincarnate him. If it were Serafall, then maybe one or two pawns max).

Have a great weekend guys. Next chappy we go into another dungeon to train our little crow~

(Also, for those wondering, Rei will come back next chapter too.)
