Percy is Nico's big bro. The scene in MoA annoys me so much because of what it does to that relationship. Percy feels responsible for Bianca's death and therefor Nico's wellbeing. We know he kept Nico's identity to protect him. He took claimed the prophecy for HIMSELF so it would fall onto Nico's sholdiers. Percy helped this little kid even when he thought Nico wanted his soul to save Bianca. and he sorta agreed. Percy wishes he had died instead of Bianca. So this is how I think MoA should have played out. Sorry for my horrible spelling and grammer.

Percy
Stupid dreams. Tonight he had dreamed about Nico. He was stuck in a jar and looked absolutly terrible. "Nico where are you! Tell me we'll come and get you" Percy woke up to the sound of Annabeth waking him up (Insert regular chapter. you know the stable incident)
The next morning the 7 gathered around the ping pong table for a meeting. Good-ol' half-bloods and their formal meetings eating cheese wiz. Percy told over his dream and hazel gasped "oh, Nico!"
Hazel explained what a death trance was and what these death seeds did. As she was explaining, Percy thought about Nico. Sure, the last time he met the kid, he had no memories and Nico lied about knowing him. But he remembered how much he felt for him. Nico was what, 13/14 for gods sake! He was so young, too young for all this to happen to him. It wasn't a question in his mind to save him. If he could, he would go back into his dream and grab him out of that jar and run.
Percy was broken out of his thoughts but a sudden quiet. Leo brought to mind that if they go and save Nico, they would be walking into a trap. Well duh, Percy thought when are they not walking directly into a trap. He literally walked straight to the Titens on Mt. Tam to save Annabeth (and Artemis, of course- the goddess that was the point right.) The next comment made Percy's blood boil.
"Maybe we can't trust this kid..." Percy heard nothing else, he was barely aware of what was going on in the room. Hazel started crying, Frank was comforting her. Jason added on to Leo's worries, making Hazel even madder.
Hazel was standing and crying, next thing she knew there was a sturdy hand on her sholdier. Percy had risen and was now staring his death stare at Leo and Jason.
"Do you suggest leaving this boy to die?" It was a low voice but everyone heard it
Leo started to stutter "..n...n.."
"DON'T finish that. You don't know this kid. If there is anyone I trust, it's him. When we were dying and on our last stand, It was Nico who brought us Hades and an undead army. We would have lost if it wasn't for him. I let that boy down more times than I can count but he was still there when I needed him most. He had no reason to fight, but he did anyway." Percy was staring at both Jason and Leo, pure disgust in his eyes.
Now Annabeth stood up and was at Percy's side, holding his arm making sure he remembered not to blow anything up. She barely knew Nico. As much as she hated to admit it, she never got the chance to really speak to him. They were only at camp together for about a week after the war before he went away again.
Percy took a deep breath, still glaring but now mostly at Jason, "You led war. of all people you should know, demigods don't leave anyone behind. Nico's my cousin, almost my brother, I will go whether you come or not. I've walked straight into the hands of the enemy to save those I love. I'll do it again now."
Now Percy turned away from the two to face Hazel. He hugged her and whispered in her ear "I don't care what anyone says, I'll go myself if I have to. We'll get him back, mark my word"
Percy left. The air was still tingling with the power of the sea as Percy muttered something along the lines of 'no one can kill my bro or else I'm going to have to drag him from the underworld myself and kill him again for lying to me.'
So thats that. honestly I could write this in so many ways. I'm kinda sorta brain dumping rn. All of the sudden I got like a ton of Ideas I need to right and get out of my head so enjoy me adding like ligit 5 chapters.
