The group had exited the station and found it constantly raining. Yaoyorozu was prepared to use her quirk to make rain gear, but thankfully, to save her strength, Rachel was prepared and brought enough umbrellas and coats for everyone.

"So… how long has it been raining here?" Kokoro asked.

"How long? Heh, I dunno. Somewhere between a long time and forever?" Yakou said. "It's been raining as long as I've lived here, that's for sure, and it won't let up anytime soon."

"It's kinda weird though. Amaterasu Corporation gets its name from the Japanese Sun God, right?" Penny asked.

"Yet it runs a city with constant rain, how ironic." Hermit said.

"Still, it's strange though." 9S said.

"What's wrong, 9S?" 2B asked.

"Why would it be constantly raining in this city? There has to be a reason." 9S said.

"I'm sure you'll all figure it out. Cmon. There's a place I want to take you guys before we go to my agency." Yakou said.

Yakou led the group to the top of a building, where they could see the entire Kanai Ward skyline.

"I love the view of the city from here. I dunno, it's like we're always on the brink of dawn…but thanks to them, the real dawn will never rise here." Yakou said, pointing to Amaterasu's building.

"Amaterasu has their grip tight here, huh?" Mayumi asked.

"You know it. Kanai Ward is isolated, and out of reach of pretty much any government in the multiverse. Now, Amaterasu is the de facto master of the city. None who wish to live in peace dare defy them. As long as you know your place, life can be pretty good here." Yakou said.

"Pardon me for speaking out of turn, but…" 9S said. "It almost sounds like you're saying this entire city is a prison."

"Oh, yeah? What, that computer brain of yours think that?" Yakou asked. "How about you, goth-bot, what do you think? Is he right?" he questioned 2B.

"In a way yes. Our lives were much like a prison itself." 2B said.

"2B and 9S were originally built for battle. The humans who made them wanted to reclaim their world." Hermit said.

"But it was nothing but a lie." A2 said.

"So, what'd you do to break free of your prison?" Yakou asked.

"We vowed to survive and embrace the world we lived in." 2B said.

"Sounds like a pretty touching story. But…it sounds like you three changed for the better." Yakou said. "Thing is though, change isn't something I think this city needs."

"Why do you think that?" Ross asked.

"A while back...our detective agency used this very building we're standing on. But we were kicked out due to a contract dispute. The owner claimed renting the building out to detectives made the place unpopular. In Kanai Ward, detectives aren't even allowed to have their own offices." Yakou said.

"For real? That's horrible! They really have it out for detectives that much?" Tenko asked.

"More than you know." Yakou said. "I dunno what the WDO is thinking, but I don't want this town to change… It should stay the way it is. It deserves some peace and quiet. That's why this time around, I don't want any trouble. It's not easy to negotiate with these people."

"But weren't we called over to solve a bunch of mysteries around here?" Vector asked.

"Screams are part of the daily noise around here. They're kind of like church bells marking sunset. Whenever someone's smiling in that building, someone else in town is weeping. However, we can't go punching the guy who's smiling. We can only offer a handkerchief to those in tears before quietly slipping away. Nothing more is needed anyway. We're not superheroes or anything… We're just detectives." Yakou said.

Shuichi felt a sort of familiar weight in Yakou's words. In the beginning of Danganronpa, he was programmed by James to believe he wasn't a master detective. Even giving him a backstory where he ended up solving a case with a sympathetic killer, which he solved out of pure coincidence. James also bragged that he was made "the weakest Ultimate Detective" due to his former persona requesting it.

"It almost sounds like Yakou has given up and is content living his life as it is…" Blake said.

"Given the circumstances of how the city's under control with Amaterasu declaring Martial Law, I don't blame him." Gohan said.

"So are we just gonna hide and do what he says? Because you guys didn't come all this way to do that." Mermista said.

"We know, Mermista. We just need to wait for a chance to change things." 9S said.

Yakou soon led the group though Kanai wards neon lit streets, before leading them into an underground pathway that headed to the sewers. He was taking them to his detective agencies new location… hopefully.

"So, Yakou, does Amaterasu really hate detectives that badly?" Kaede asked.

"Yeah. Around here, they like to pick on them real good. My colleagues and hired assistants all quit. They said working here as a detective was simply impossible." Yakou said.

"So you've been working as the only detective for the whole city ever since?" Yuma asked.

"It's not like I can change careers. I'm a WDO detective after all. Clients trust me to do the job. Although most of my requests involve infidelity or finding lost pets." Yakou said.

"What about actual, unsolved mysteries?" Mermista asked.

"The peacekeepers get to handle that. Detectives don't even come close. But things could be different now that you're all here…" Yakou said. "It's gonna be a bit stuffy moving forward, just putting it out there."

The group transferred into the Sewer system as they followed Yakou in a straight line.

"So when you said "we're all here" does that mean other Master Detectives made it to Kanai ward before us?" Shuichi asked.

"Yeah. Others made it here before you guys. You're the last to join us." Yakou said.

"That's comforting to hear. Besides ourselves, everyone on the train had perished. We believed we were the only ones to have survived our trek here." Double D said.

"Thanks to that hitman hired by Amaterasu." Yakou said. "The WDO anticipated interference. They prepared multiple routes for entry into kanai ward. They covered their bases. Other Master Detectives arrived from routes besides the Amaterasu Express. Both official and unofficial detectives traveled through these various routes."

"Why didn't we know about any of that?" Eddy asked. "Coulda saved us the trouble."

"Or not. Amaterasu was going to great lengths to ensure no one went through." David said. "They likely planted assassins in every route they could reach."

"You're a sharp one, David. Amaterasu Corporation caught on and tried to interfere on all the routes… granted, they deny any involvement. Some routes were completely stamped out… yours barely made it." Yakou said.

"That tragedy happened to others too…" Yuma said.

"How many other Master Detectives made it through?" Perfuma asked.

"Excluding you all, there are four others who survived. Unfortunately, a lot of sacrifices were made… But as a result, you could say Master Detectives of the highest caliber have been gathered here. Each of you did outsmart Amaterasu and made it here, after all." Yakou said.

"Yeah, by the skin of our teeth." Jesse said.

"I wonder what these surviving Master Detectives are like! So exciting! So mysteriful!" Shinigami said.

"You do realize that's not a real word, right?" Vector asked.

The group soon ended up at an empty part of Kanai Ward, near one of its rivers, and it was pretty barren in the area.

"Uh, Yakou? Not to be rude, but I don't see an agency out here." Connie pointed out.

"All right. Remember this, everyone. The most important things cannot be seen by the eye." Yakou said as he pulled out a remote and pressed a button, as rising out of the water was a large submarine.

"Detective Diver!" Ed said in awe, before he grinned and started hopping up and down.

"Yakou's Agency is a submarine!" Steven said.

"Seriously?!" Yuma asked.

"I thought my eyes were gonna pop out…" Shinigami said in shock.

"Welcome to the Nocturnal Detective Agency." Yakou courtesied as he led the group onto the submarine and opened the main hatch inside, the others still in a mix of feelings. "What, you expected something tidier? I guess I wouldn't call this place clean myself…but isn't it awesome?! Our own submarine!"

"Uh, is there enough room in there for 56 extra people?" Jiro asked.

"I guess it might get a little cramped now that you guys are here. Hope you all are used to living on a tub like this." Yakou said.

"We travel in a giant cruiser most of the time, I think we can manage."

Inside the submarine, Yakou led the group to the main lounging area, opening the door to the interior of the room. Inside it, four other individuals were lounging at a table.

Sitting by themselves on a purple plaid couch was a figure of average height, being a head and a bit above Yuma. They have short silver hair and pink eyes, with their irises resembling a shuriken. They also wear neon pink glasses which can light up in the dark, similar to a neon sign. Halara has matching syringe earrings on either ear; the left earring has a red substance inside, and the right earring has a blue substance inside. They take on an androgynous appearance, sporting a thigh-length black hooded tailcoat, with the insides being of a bright lime color. On the right of the coat is a badge for the World Detective Organization. Under the coat, they wear a black jacket, with a white belt around the waist. The bottom of the front placket is lime colored. They wear black trousers with black boots, which have lime soles.

On the beige couch opposite to them sat two other individuals. One was a short boy appearing rather childlike, with a more rounded face. He has green eyes with irises resembling five-pointed stars. He sports short dirty blond hair, with swept bangs, and wears a black beanie on top of it, with 2 small yellow squares on its rim. The right corners of his upper lip are slightly curled up. He wears a yellow hoodie, with a white blazer over the top of it, with a plethora of decorative pins on the lapels. He has black shorts which go past knee-length, which he wears black tights underneath, and white sneakers with yellow soles. A badge for the World Detective Organization is visible on the left side of his shorts. He appeared to be lighting a match according to the instructions of the one across from him.

The figure next to him was a girl sporting long light blue hair styled in a braided ponytail, with a silver triangle hair-tie at the tip and pink flower in the left side of her head. Her hair bangs on the right are longer than the ones on the left. She has light blue eyes, with irises that are shaped like diamonds. She has three piercings on her left ear, as well as one under her bottom lip, and a silver choker along with a clock necklace around her neck. She wore a low-cut black blouse with a thin white belt around her waist, which holds a small white pouch. Under the blouse is a translucent short-sleeve vest, which covers her chest. Over everything is her black sleeveless hoodie tailcoat which she leaves unzipped. On the left tail's edge, at the front, the symbol for skipping backwards ⏮ is shown. On the hoodie's left lapel is a symbol of an arrow pointing in on itself, and on the right lapel is a badge for the World Detective Organization. Below all this is her pink shorts, with black tights and black boots. She appeared to be counting heart shaped chocolates.

Finally, tucked away inside the fireplace unknown to most of the group at the time was a tall and slim young man with broad shoulders, pale skin and purple eyes, with irises designed to look like a plus sign. Under his eyes is purple eyeliner, stylized to look like ink drops, with 2 piercings to the left of the right eye's ink drop. His hair is naturally wavy and reaches his shoulder on the left side, and is of a sickly green color, which gets darker closer to his scalp, with black streaks. Instead of a typical shirt, he wore a bunch of black bandages wrapped around his torso and arms, with a couple wraps around his neck to act as a makeshift choker. Over this is a black and purple ankle-length zipper coat, which is kept unzipped, with a high collar. On the right side of his coat is a badge for the World Detective Organization. Below a white belt are black torn jeans, made to look similar to the bandages he wears. He also wore black leather boots. He seemed to be reading a book while lying on his left side with his head held up.

"Thanks for waiting, everyone! Our final new members have arrived at last!" Yakou said, surprising the boy lighting the match.

"Watch it! Don't just come barging in here!" the boy protested.

"S-Sorry….What are you talking about?! This is my detective agency, isn't it?!" Yakou asked.

"Victory is mine. Pay up." the individual requested.

"H-hold on, that doesn't count! It was an accident thanks to the chief barging in here!" the boy replied.

"Nonsense, you should've expected him to return from his errand. Moreover, you should've realized he was back when our submarine resurfaced."

"Guh… when you put it like that…" the boy said.

"With my logic, anything is possible."

"Hey, what're you two playing over there, some kinda game or somethin'?" Vector asked.

"What's the game called, "try not to set the submarine on fire"?" Eddy followed jokingly.

"It is a game." the individual replied. "He strikes the matches one by one. He wins if he lights ten in a row. But if he fails even once, I win. And he failed. Thus, I get all the cash."

"H-hang on, it was lit! The chief opened the door, which blew it out! I succeeded in lighting it, so the game continues!" the boy protested. "Uh, next is the seventh, right? Hey ref, how many matches was it? You can check by counting the number of chocolates on the table."

"Sure thing. Uhh.. one… two… three…" the girl next to the boy counted, sounding a little muffled, due to eating one of the chocolates.

"Hey! Don't eat those, we're using them to count! How many are we missing now, two or three?" the boy asked. "Come on, princess! How many did you eat? Be honest!"

"Uh… two… or three… what comes after three?" the girl asked.

"(Total airhead!)" most of the group thought.

"Couldn't you just count the number of matches you already lit in the ashtray?" Princess Twilight asked.

"Yeah, good idea." The boy looked to the ashtray, only to see it was full. "Why is it full!? No way I lit that many!"

"You do have a guy who smokes as your leader." Penny pointed out.

"Heh… guilty as charged. It's harder to quit than you think." Yakou said.

"Ah-ha! I remember now, the number four comes after three, so the answer is four!" the girl piped in. "Hm? But there is still a chocolate missing."

"Hang on, there were more than four to begin with, did you eat another one?!" the boy asked. "Wait, you're eating it right now?"

"It is too delicious. So this is what commoners eat, interesting. It is simply heavenly!" the girl said with sparkles.

"Anyway, time to pay up." the individual said.

"Enough! I'm using my authority as chief to end this game! And no more gambling! Do you understand you're in Kanai Ward?! Don't give the Peacekeepers a reason to drop in on us! Virtue, honesty, and staying the hell outta trouble! That's our motto here at Nocturnal Detective Agency, got it?!" Yakou said. "Now then…I'd like to introduce you to our final team members…Yuma Kokohead, David Ishihara, Shuichi Saihara, Vector the Crocodile, Eddward "Double D" Smith, and 9S. Accompanied of course by their assisting team members. A round of applause, please." Yakou clapped, the girl being the only one to follow along.

"N-nice to meet you all." Yuma bowed in respect.

"A pleasure, fellow investigators." Double D copied Yuma's movement.

"Yeah, nice to be working with ya." Vector said.

"I hope we'll all be able to work together." 9S said.

"I was hoping they'd be amazing detectives, but they all look kinda dumb. I wonder who will die first? Him? Or maybe…?" Shinigami wondered.

"If you don't mind Yakou, could you introduce everyone to us?" Shuichi asked.

"I'd be glad to." Yakou nodded, motioning first to the individual, now relocated to a fancy chair. "First, the one sitting over there is Halara Nightmare, a great Master Detective, the first to arrive at Kanai Ward."

"Wow, the first one here? Talk about amazing from the start!" Marcy said.

"The little match boy over there is Desuhiko Thunderbolt." Yakou continued with the young boy, who was now sitting on a yellow chair.

"Wait, who's the match boy?" Desuhiko asked.

"His face looks like a Pikachu." Penny noticed.

"Hah! He does look like a Pokémon, doesn't he?" Eddy chuckled.

"Pokè-what?" Desuhiko asked, sounding unsure of whether or not he should be offended.

"The beautiful lady next to him is Fubuki Clockford. She's the heiress to the esteemed Clockford family." Yakou then introduced the girl, who stood up.

"A pleasure to meet all of you!" Fubuki bowed.

"And the one inside the fireplace…" Yakou started.

"Inside the…? WAH!" Princess Twilight squeaked out as those close to the fireplace stumbled back in shock.

"And lastly, we have Vivia Twilight. Our last detective." Yakou said.

"Hey… nice to meet you all…" Vivia said in a gloomy tone.

"You scared the heck outta me!" Peacock yelled in an unusually panicked tone.

"Why in there of all places?!" Double D asked.

"He says it's calming in there." Yakou answered. "Right, now that we're all here…let's have a seat, so to speak." he said as everyone either sat down where they could, or stayed standing. "Alright, now everyone sent to join the Nocturnal Detective Agency is here. I know that most of them aren't the Master Detectives we were expecting-"

"Sorry to disappoint." Mermista rolled her eyes.

"-but regardless, no matter how many of us there are, we're still no match for the Peacekeeper's numbers. So, we'll keep laying low down here and avoid provoking them as we've been doing." Yakou stated.

"Hey, I didn't come all the way out here just to stay submerged in a filthy river!" Desuhiko protested. "I came to solve all the unsolved mysteries and become famous!"

"In Kanai Ward, solving mysteries won't make you famous." Yakou countered. "All information is controlled by the Peacekeepers. They simply conceal anything that's inconvenient to them. If you want to be famous in this town, it's easier to be a villain."

"Excuse me, Mr. Furio, but…if we're supposed to keep our heads down, how are we going to fulfill any assignments the WDO sends us?" Double D inquired.

"Moreover, why has the WDO gathered us here?" Halara added.

"To be honest, I don't know." Yakou admitted. "I'm not sure what the WDO is thinking. I just found about this recently myself. I'm hoping the WDO will call eventually."

"I wouldn't count on that." Penny spoke up. "If Amaterasu is in control of all the entrances and exists in Kanai Ward, then they definitely have control over the flow of information. Maybe we haven't got any orders because we can't get them."

"A very astute possibility. You're sharp for your age." Halara said.

"Oh, uh… thanks. I'm just good with computers." Penny said, retreating into herself a bit.

"There is one thing I wanna confirm with you all though. Does Yuma really have amnesia?" Yakou asked.

"As far as we can tell, yes. He doesn't remember anything about himself except his name." 9S said.

"Ah, then he and I are alike. Yuma and I are amnesia buddies." Fubuki said rather cheerfully.

"Huh?! Fubuki, you too?!" Yakou asked.

"Indeed. I cannot remember what I had for breakfast. I cannot even recall how I got here." Fubuki said.

"Uh, I think you're just forgetful." Yakou said.

"There's a term for that, you know. We call people like you scatterbrains!" Mermista said.

"Anyway, I have all of Yuma's info. See…truth is…he's not a Master Detective…just a Master Detective…Trainee." Yakou said.

"A trainee? Are you sure?" 9S asked.

"The info I gathered doesn't lie. Well, what Halara and Desuhiko gathered, anyway since they were so early. Their efforts were how I knew you all were coming, actually." Yakou said.

"I got the train passenger list from Amaterasu Corporation using my forte." Desuhiko said.

"Oooh, what is it?!" Pinkie Pie-2 asked.

"Sorry Pinky, my ability is top secret. Can't share it just yet." Desuhiko said.

"Your names were all on the list. Once we knew them, obtaining more information was easy. I researched the histories of everyone on the list." Halara said.

"Wait, all of us?!" Kaito asked. "Fifty-six of us on that train, and you got our histories down just like that?"

"Yes." Halara said like it was no big deal. "Some of your resumes were very extensive."

"I'll say. Half the stuff on them, I couldn't even believe." Yakou said. "I mean, fighting gods, time travel…wow."

"Wait, all of us?" Marcy asked.

"Yes, even you non regulars. The time traveling psychic hedgehog, the cat princess from another dimension, and you, one of the brightest young girls I've ever seen. You'd probably pass the WDO exam easy if you took it. Though, you do seem to get absorbed into games and puzzles too much." Yakou said showing a photo of her walking through a zoo during a snake outbreak, though she herself was unaware.

"Oh yeah…hahaha….that was a weird Saturday." Marcy said.

"Anyway, this is a valuable experience for all of you." Yakou said. "And Yuma. There is something else on your info."

"Really?" Yuma asked.

"It says here that you….are a really great cook." Yakou said. "Would you mind making us breakfast from now on?"

"You're like his maid!" Shinigami said.

"Uh…I don't really have any memories about cooking…" Yuma admitted. "Never mind. Did my profile offer anything else?"

"Sorry, that's all. You got a trainee's profile, not a Master Detective profile." Yakou apologized.

"Speaking of which, there's one thing I don't get." Desuhiko piped in. "How were 4 normies and 1 android able to shoot straight to being Master Detectives after their exams? They don't even have Fortes!"

"Is it really that odd?" Halara asked. "I read their files. Though they don't have fortes, their detective skills are very impressive."

"Is being a Master Detective without a Forte zat much of an oddity?" Rachel asked.

"Yeah. The WDO also has normal detectives, like myself, who don't have a Forte." Yakou said.

"Even without a Forte, we do have other ways of solving crimes." 9S said. "My abilities as a Scanner type Android allow me to hack into machines allowing me to subjugate or remote control them, and even hack into the most encrypted files if necessary."

"Well, Fortes or not, you guys are pretty capable, and the fact that Yuma wanted to be a detective and made it this far means he's got talent. To all you Master Detectives, you better not drop your guard or the rookie and his friends are gonna steal your thunder, got it?" Yakou asked.

"Hah! Go ahead and try! Too bad for you guys, I'm gonna take all the medals!" Desuhiko said.

"Why you…!" Tenko growled.

"So much for detectives not being degenerates…" Himiko said.

"I have no desire to compete." Halara said.

"Hehe, you senior detectives sure are a handful." Yakou said. "Vivia, anything you'd like to say to the newbies?"

"Hmm… No…not really…" Vivia said before a phone was soon heard ringing.

"A call…?" Yuma asked.

"That's the direct line to the World Detective Organization. So they're finally contacting us. All communication in Kanai ward is shut out from the outside world, so that phone is rather special. And obviously, it's kept secret from the Amaterasu folk." Yakou said.

"Oh, so my theory was a bust." Penny realized.

"Eh, you didn't know." Yakou said.

"Then could somebody answer the thing?" Eddy asked.

"You do it, Yuma." Yakou said.

Yuma approached and picked up the phone as the monitor above the fireplace turned on, showing a man on it. "Umm, hello. Nocturnal Detective Agency… Please state your business…"

"Good work, all of you. I assume everyone is present?" the man on the monitor asked. "Hmm, so few of you survived. Far less than I anticipated, but considering who survived…this should suffice."

"Good evening, good sir." Double D said. "And to whom do we have the pleasure of speaking to?"

"Wait, you're just talking to this old geezer?! We don't even know who he is!" Desuhiko argued.

"My contact is usually someone different…" Yakou added in confusion.

"Perhaps he dialed the wrong number?" Fubuki asked.

"Yakou said this was a direct line to the WDO, I don't think this is a scam." Gohan said before turning to the man on the screen. "You are with the World Detective Organization, aren't you? Who are you? Do you have a name?"

"A name… unfortunately, I discarded my name long ago…Now, I simply go by Number One. I'm sure you've heard of me." the man said.

"N-Number One?!" Desuhiko was so in shock, he actually sat straight up out of his chair.

"You're joking! Seriously?!" Yakou exclaimed.

"Wait… THE Number One? The head of the WDO himself?" David asked.

"I didn't expect him to appear in person. This must be very serious business then." Halara said.

"So he's the Top Detective of the World Detective Organization…" 9S said.

"How come we've never heard about him until now?" Connie asked.

"He rarely ever shows himself. Thus, no one knows his true identity." Halara said.

"So then, why's he calling us now?" Marcy asked. Number One heard her inquiry and immediately answered.

"I am here to give those of you who arrived your instructions. There is a dangerous secret lurking here…which we refer to as "Kanai Ward's Ultimate Secret". However, Kanai Ward's Ultimate Secret isn't a problem affecting only this city…there is a chance it relates to the ongoing Great Global Mystery…hence why I chose to deliver your orders directly." Number One explained.

"Great Global Mystery?" Shuichi said.

"Only been in the fold for at least a few months, and you guys never heard of it?" Desuhiko said. "The Great Global Mystery is…well, the Mystery to end all Mysteries! It overlays the entire world, the entire multiverse even!"

"Some say solving it will reveal the greatest secrets of the Color-verse. Or so many have been told." Halara said.

"A mystery that encompases the entire color-verse…fascinating if

"What are our orders?" 9S asked. Even though he didn't have to follow them, he at least wanted to be professional.

"Move swiftly to investigate Kanai Ward's Ultimate Secret. Doing so will assist us in solving the Great Global Mystery. That is all." Number One said.

"So we're just gonna go into this blind?" Kaito asked.

"We're all detectives here. It's not like they were gonna give us clues." Leonora said.

"Exactly. If you are detectives, search for clues yourself. Providing any information beforehand will merely result in misconceptions." Number One said. "Can any among the five of you recall the World Detective Organizations Creed? Surely you must know it through taking your exams." he asked the five Hero Alliance detectives.

"Yes, sir. A detective must never overlook a mystery. Any and all truths must be exposed." 9S said. "A detective must always prioritize solving a case. Emotions must be discarded to reach a perfect solution through a perfect deduction."

Number One nodded. "Mysteries are the greatest threat to humanity. The WDO will not allow mysteries to go unsolved. They shall be eradicated with sagacious wit and indomitable will. We must guide the lost souls to paradise in the name of truth. Go forth, proud detectives! Eliminate all mysteries from this world!" he ordered as the screen cut off.

"...He seems nice." Marcy said.

"And he's the head honcho of the WDO, so whatever he says goes." Vector said.

"So uh…what do we do now?" Peacock asked.

"If Number One didn't say all that? Absolutely nothing!" Yakou said. "So much was sacrificed to get you all here, but now he's basically asking us to go to war with Amaterasu Corporation, because I have a feeling this Ultimate Secret is tied directly to them! I just wanted to sink quietly into the river…!" he was freaking out before Charmy slapped him across the face. "Ow!"

"Pull yourself together, man!" Charmy said. "I always wanted to do that."

"So how are we gonna do this? I'm thinking we can't attack Amaterasu head-on or sneak into their building." Yang said.

"Maybe we don't have to." Connie said. "There was a reason we were all called to Kanai ward in the first place right? Everyone here is a Detective. And detectives solve mysteries, but Amaterasu has control of the city. That means they also have a stranglehold on the details of certain events in the city, covering them up as they see fit to control the populace."

"So if we investigate these events and find the truth, we may also find clues related to this Ultimate Secret." Chrysalis summarized.

"Then we've got quite a bit of work ahead of us." Yuuto stated.

"Oh, fine… All right, listen up. Truth be told, I wish this day had never come…but part of me knew it was inevitable." Yakou said, his composure regained. "Our goal now is to expose Kanai Ward's Ultimate Secret. We'll be up against Amaterasu Corporation. So please, be extremely careful. We don't know what these guys'll do to interfere with us. That said, you all survived the deadly trip to get here, so I'm sure you're up to the challenge. We've been trapped in this rain for a long time now, but it's time to put an end to that… Please, help me save this city!"

"Ha! You can count on us!" Vector said.

"Mr. Furio, I would be glad to lend my mind services to this mission!" Double D saluted.

"The same with me. I'll gladly lend whatever assistance I can." 9S said.

"So will I." Shuichi nodded.

"It's not even a question." David said.

"I love it! Things are getting interesting!" Shinigami said excitedly. "Kyahahaha! Mysteriful!"

Yuma's Narration: In the unending rain… through the winding neon cityscape… draped in my raincoat, I roam in search of my missing memories. What secrets lurk in this labyrinth of drainage pipes…? We have yet to find the answer. The story of detectives facing the darkness that enshrouds the truth… is about to begin.
