It was the glow from the delicate hanging lights that stole Elise's attention. With the setting sun casting the streets of this Greek town in a soft and romantic kind of glow, it was as if she was transported to another world entirely. It felt like paradise, so unlike anything she had ever seen before.

From the old wooden gates that lined the side street she was on, to the white stone that encompassed the village so synonymous with Greece, it was breathtaking. Dessa had informed her earlier that Calliope would already be there, and the two of them could enjoy the walk. It was inescapable, the draw that Greece had on Elise and Dessa, the two of them drawn to the beauty and the ancientness of the country.

For Dessa it was obviously her love of literature, ancient and modern, that had led her to Calliope. And for Elise it was the beauty that she could capture on camera, a once in a lifetime opportunity. Elise was positive that she could fill several memory cards in the months she was here between the tours she wanted to go on, and the lead-up to the wedding.

"It's up here." Dessa's hand reached for Elise's own, drawing her gaze from the stone pathway beneath her feet back to Dessa. As Elise looked at Dessa, Elise had taken in the image of Dessa in a soft linen dress that Calliope had given her for her birthday last year, to the braid that draped over her shoulder. The beauty of the town Elise was in was encapsulating, so much so that she'd lost her focus and almost walked past the private entrance.

The same delicate hanging lights that she had seen above some of the buildings lining the street had been continued here. Unlike the other lights, the ones that had hung above the outdoor patio here had resembled the soft blinking of the stars in the night sky. Though she had wanted to speculate that they were hung in the area to copy some of the constellations, Elise couldn't say either way or another.

"So this place is usually booked out for weeks or months at a time" Dessa reached for the brass handle of the gate entrance. Her hand wrapped around the smooth yet wide metal, her manicured fingernails touching the smooth underside as she tugged, "but Calliope knows the owner."

Elise's sister hadn't given her anymore to go on other than the indication that they'd be going to a place that was highly reputable. And the chance to ask was swiftly erased the moment the two of them had stepped through the gate. On the other side of the private entrance were tables that were set up on the patio with natural and thick ivy vines crawling up the wooden support beams for the airy roof.

At the end of the patio, or beginning depending on which entrance you used, was a bar that was set up to the left. There was a long row of rich and expensive liquors and spirits, and on the other side was a wall appointed specifically for wine. Some of the labels of alcohol were recognizable although there was more that had been foreign to Elise than not.

"We're gonna be out here tonight, why don't you go choose wine?" Dessa let go of Elise's hand and stepped away, rightfully going to greet Calliope who was speaking to someone near the bar. "Choose whatever you want."

"Dessa, you cant be serious? I just go choose a wine?" Elise's hesitation and surprise was natural, and she'd been puzzled by Dessa's insistence that Elise should just choose. Dessa spoke so freely about it, as if she was implying that this place had cheap wine that could be bought for less than an Uber ride.

"The owner insists, trust me." Dessa spoke over her shoulder, already halfway toward Calliope and the stranger, someone who was standing behind the bar. Though Calliope was largely blocking Elise's view, she could tell that the man was over 6'0" tall with dark brown hair that was long enough to be pulled back into a bun at the nape of his neck. There was a clear five o'clock shadow on his face, making his jaw seem more chiseled and stronger than it had before.

Elise stared, eyes narrowed slightly until the man talking to Calliope had very obtusely leaned back to cast his gaze upon her. Warm brown eyes that could have appeared gold in the right light, were fixated upon Elise with a glint of amusement. She had frozen in place when she realized she'd been caught staring, even if her view was obstructed. Elise at once turned on her heel and began walking away, heading to the wall of wine.

Her attention was glued to the various bottles and ages, all of which had ranged from extra dry to sweet, white and red. Elise's fingertips were stretched out, the pads on her fingers brushing against various bottles and labels as if she had any idea what she was doing. In reality she didn't know much about the art of wine or the different notes that were poignant to wine testers. Elise knew she enjoyed the taste of certain wines more than other, usually the dryer wine was less of a favoured choice than the sweet. And as for colour, she preferred red over wine.

Though she was initially alone at the wall of wine bottles, it wasn't long before she was joined by someone. Elise had first felt their presence by her side and the soft yet sweet scent of perfume. As she had turned her head to greet the person next to her, there was a subtle spark of electricity that had renumerated in Elise's fingers when her hand brushed against hers.

"You look like you would prefer something with a little softer taste." The woman's voice was softer than Elise had anticipated as she spoke to her, and Elise quickly removed her hand from the bottle when she touched her. "You like sweet wine or dry?"

The woman next to Elise was beautiful, captivating like the man at the bar, and although her features her fairer and softer it was becoming clearer that they must be related. Her hair, like the person at the bar's was thick with a slight curl and had equally been pulled out of her face. It was arranged in a braid that was draped over her shoulder, the ends of the braid held together with a binding of softened and tanned leather.

Her eyes, like his, were brown and warm with the appearance of gold in the right light, and like before Elise had been caught staring.

Elise averted her gaze and focused back on the wine in front of her. With bottles spanning the wooden shelves arranged and built into the stone wall behind it, it was impressive to say the least. There was a varying and extensive array of wine from all over the world that had been imported, however it seemed as if the wine made in and around Greece was favored.

"Sweet wine," Elise finally answered her after a few stilled moments, and with her reply had come the soft brush of her hand against Elise's. She had lifted Elise's hand to the neck of the dark glass bottle and then let go when her fingers wrapped around the girth.

"You're Dessa's sister? I'm Kassandra, I own this place and have shares in a winery an hour away." Kassandra, the name had echoed in Elise's mind over and over as she removed the bottle from the shelf. "That wine should suite your tastes well."

"You can tell just by looking at me?" Elise held the bottle to her side, mentally pushing herself to keep a tight hold on it and not drop it to the stone floor. "Or is that your instincts?"

"Wine is my business, πέταλο." Kassandra's lips had quirked into a playful and toying half-smile, and then her attention had shifted from Elise back toward the bar. "My brother Alexios."

Calliope had departed from the bar and had gone to sit at a table near the center of the outdoor patio, taking a place next to Dessa. The two of them were whispering lovingly to each other as they sat on end side of a rectangular table. While they had occupied one side, it was clear that you and the other two would take the other side.

"Alexios." Elise repeated the name and looked him over, getting a clearer image of him now that Calliope had moved. He was over 6'0" like you expected and initially thought, and with Kassandra pushing 6'0", the brother and sister were equally enthralling.

"Speaking about me again, Kassandra?" The voice booming from the bar was naturally deep and thick, a hint of a Greek accent that was neither overpowering nor weak. And as he had called out to his sister, he had thrown a hand towel over his shoulder and stepped out from behind the bar. Elise watched him with as much interest as she watched Kassandra, albeit momentarily, as he left the bar and walked toward them.

"I was making introductions Alexios." Kassandra's hand had moved toward Elise in a soft waving motion, directing his attention toward her and her alone. "And helping choose a perfect wine for the πέταλο."

"πέταλο? Giving nicknames already, sister?" Alexios stopped short in front of Elise and cocked his head to the side, his warm brown eyes heating her body with every moment he looked at her. Though he was just taking in the look of Elise, more to size her up than anything, she had felt the intensity of his eyes.

"Y/N," Elise stated her name, blurting out an introduction of her own regardless of the fact that they likely knew her from Calliope. "Dessa is my sister, and Calliope is my future sister in law."

Another beat of silence had fallen between the three of them, and Elise's gaze wandered to where Calliope and Dessa were sitting. With minimal space between them, they were in their own little world of intimacy and adoration for each other. Dessa's hand was brushing hair behind Calliope's ear, and Calliope was running her hand down Dessa's bare shoulder. Even from afar Elise could see the glint of their rings under the twinkle of the fairy lights and the dimming sunset. It was apparent, as it always had been, that were deeply in love with each other, holding the other in the highest regards and passions.

"You are the little πέταλο we are going to be showing around for the next 6 months." Alexios' voice stirred Elise's attention, and she cast her gaze upon him again, eyes flitting to his crossed arms over his chest giving the briefest glance at the tattoos on his chest.

"You two-" The silence was telling, and the bottle of wine in Elise's hand felt like it was growing with the weight of the realization that she'd be spending the next 6 months, off and on, with two tour guides that were as equally beautiful as the other.

"This will be fun, πέταλο. But first, let's open the wine." Kassandra chimed with an air of flirtatiousness to her voice, gentle nudging you toward the table.
