Sarah's time in Jareth's realm flew by. Every day was a gift, filled with affection and moments of relaxation. The first morning after her arrival was still anchored in her mind, but now everything felt so familiar – the warmth of Jareth's presence, the pleasant feeling of security he offered her. It was as if she lived in another world, a world where the everyday life and worries of her own did not exist.

Sarah had asked Jareth to meet Hoggle, Sir Didymus and Ludo – the three loyal companions who had accompanied her on her first journey through the Labyrinth. But Jareth had explained to her that it was not possible at the moment. "They are on a mission," he said. "I asked them to get new and exotic fruits for us. They should be back soon, but it will take a little while."

He could see that Sarah was a little sad about it.
"The next time we're here, you'll see them, my dear Sarah," he promised, with a loving smile on his lips. Then he leaned forward and placed a gentle kiss on her forehead. His voice sounded like a promise that went straight to her heart.

Although she was disappointed, she could feel the affection in Jareth's words, and so she let it go. She trusted him, and she knew that he always wanted the best for her.

Every morning, Jareth was the first to get up. With a look and a smile at the still sleeping Sarah, he left his room to get breakfast from the kitchen, which a goblin cook had prepared for him. She was a resolute woman who was known for her tasty creations and whose magical abilities always turned breakfast into a small feast.

Every morning Jareth brought it to Sarah, put it in bed with her, and gently woke her with the smell of freshly brewed coffee and warm croissants. He did this every day, no matter how tired he was. It was important to him to see Sarah happy, even if it meant he risked falling asleep standing up.

It was a gesture that said more than words ever could, and Sarah loved it. Even though she never said it, she felt how much Jareth meant to her.

"Good morning, my sweet Sarah," he whispered as he sat down next to her. Her eyes sparkled in the soft light of the morning, and she smiled at him, even though her thoughts were still in the dreams of the night.

"You spoil me," she answered softly, taking a bite of the croissant.

Jareth grinned and stroked her hair. "There is nothing more beautiful for me than to see you happy."

Breakfast was a quiet but intimate conversation between the two. They exchanged glances that said more than words and enjoyed these small, quiet moments in which the world around them seemed to stand still. But at some point the idyll had to give way to a new adventure.

The days passed with further exploration of his realm. Jareth showed her places she had not seen on her first visit to the labyrinth. Sarah was overwhelmed by the variety and beauty of the landscapes. The harsh and inaccessible labyrinth that she remembered seemed almost like another world. The hidden gardens, the shining waterfalls and the bright flowers that Jareth showed her opened her eyes to the hidden magic of his realm.

"I never thought there was so much more here," she said in amazement as they strolled through one of the gardens. "I always thought the labyrinth was everything."

Jareth grinned. "There is much more here than you could ever imagine, Sarah."

In the evenings they sat together, ate a light dinner and then retired to the library. Jareth read to her while Sarah slowly drifted off to sleep, her head leaning on his shoulder, surrounded by the warmth of his presence. Every day was similar, but that was enough for both of them. Their days were full of love, affection and trust – every little gesture was meaningful.

This morning, however, when Sarah woke up, Jareth was not there. A hint of disappointment ran through her before she reminded herself that her days here were almost over.

"Oh, no breakfast in bed today? What a pity," she thought and sighed deeply.

Despite the disappointment, she swung herself out of bed and went to her suitcase to take out a few items of clothing. Armed with these things, she opened the door to the adjacent bathroom and placed her clothes on the designated shelf. She stopped in front of the large, golden mirror with ornate ornaments, and looked at herself closely.

To her surprise, she noticed that she looked different than before she arrived. Her face was fresher, her eyes were shining. It did her good to be far away from the worries and tasks of her world. Above all, it did her good to be near Jareth. It was as if Jareth's kingdom had filled her with new energy. The thought of him made her smile.

Sarah went to the bathtub and ran water. The pleasant warmth caught her as she slid in and she closed her eyes. After a while, she got out, dried herself off, got dressed and went to look for Jareth.

On the way to the throne room, she noticed a door that was ajar. Her curiosity was aroused, she stepped closer and opened it a little wider. She looked in and could see Jareth sitting on the floor, chatting animatedly with a goblin lady. When he noticed the door opening, Jareth turned around in shock. His eyes widened and without another word he jumped up and quickly stood in front of Sarah, blocking her view.

"Oh, Sarah, my love," he said with a smile, "you're up. I'm sorry, I wanted to let you sleep a bit longer. But come, breakfast is ready. Sit down, eat something, and I'll join you in a moment."

Sarah stared at him, a hint of confusion in her eyes. What had she just seen? What kind of conversation had that been? But before she could ask any more questions, Jareth took her in his arms, kissed her on the forehead and closed the door behind him.

Confused, Sarah sat down at the table and began to eat, but the question that was buzzing around in her head wouldn't leave her alone. What did that mean?

A few minutes later, the door opened again and Jareth stepped out. He smiled at Sarah and her doubts seemed to vanish. Jareth stepped behind her, put his arms around her and whispered in her ear: "Good morning, my sweet Sarah. Did you sleep well?" His breath on her neck made her blush slightly.

"Hm-hm," she said, as her mouth was full. But then, when she looked into his eyes, everything else disappeared. She felt safe.

"Very nice," said Jareth, sat down on the chair next to her and started eating too.

After Sarah had swallowed her bite, she asked him: "I have to know what that was. What were you doing?" She took another bite and looked at him curiously.

"It's a secret," he whispered with a mischievous grin. "Be patient, my love. You'll find out soon."

After breakfast, Jareth decided to introduce Sarah to his goblins. The goblins were excited because they had the utmost respect for her - after all, she had defeated their king and his labyrinth years ago. To Sarah's surprise, the meeting did not take place in the castle. Instead, there was a celebration in the goblin city in her honour.

At first she was a little overwhelmed by the sudden attention, but soon she began to enjoy it. There was dancing, singing and laughter. The goblins had conjured up a huge amount of food, and Sarah ate so much that she could barely move.

"Back home, we call it a food coma," she said, causing the goblins to burst into laughter. They liked the word so much that they decided to add it to their vocabulary.

After a few hours, when she was a little exhausted from the celebration, Jareth pulled her aside. "Would you like to go to sleep? You look really tired." He gently stroked her eyes.

Sarah yawned excessively and nodded. Without another word, Jareth lifted her into his arms and brought her back to the castle, where he carefully laid her in his bed.

While she slept, Jareth continued to work on the surprise he had prepared for her. But what it was, no one knew – not even Sarah.
