XXIII. "Landon…"

- {Neverland. Past.} -

Captain Hook was looking at a picture of Milah on the Jolly Roger when one of his crewmates, Willian Smee, approached. "Milah was quite beautiful, wasn't she?" Smee commented, making Killian look at him. "Don't worry, Captain. You'll avenge her. No matter what it takes, I know you'll find a way to kill Rumpelstiltskin."

"Mr Smee, what new of the day's catch?" Killian asked, ignoring Smee. "The boy we yanked from the sea."

"He's still asleep. A bit waterlogged and smells of catfish, but he'll live," he replied nervously.

"Where do you suppose he came from? There aren't many other ships in this area, and his clothes are certainly not of this land," Hook remarked.

"What if the boy belongs to him? The ones he kidnaps from the other world. I'd bet my rations on it," William muttered.

"Indeed. But could we be so lucky?" Killian wondered.

"Lucky? He'll be looking for us. He knows this land better than we do," Smee argued.

"Mr Smee, are you not a connoisseur of rare and valuable objects? If we return the boy to him, it could be the very key to our survival in Neverland," he reasoned, coming up with an idea.

Below deck, Baelfire woke in another part of the ship, confused. "Ahoy there," Killian greeted him. "Aren't you lucky to be alive?"

"Lucky? I'm a prisoner of pirates in a land cursed with magic," Baelfire argued, glaring at the floor.

"Well, most children think they've found paradise when they lay their eyes on Neverland's magic. Why else leave home in the first place?" He wondered, looking at the boy.

"I came so a family I loved could live," the boy told him.

"Well, aren't you quite the hero?" Hook mused, smiling.

"What would you know about that? Pirate," Baelfire snapped, turning his gaze to Killian.

"A pirate saved your scrawny bones from the curse of the mermaids," Killian argued.

"A pirate killed my mother and tore apart my family," he replied angrily.

"What about your father?" The Pirate Captain wondered.

"He left me. He's a coward," the son of Rumpelstiltskin snapped.

"What's your name, boy?" Killian asked him, having an idea who the boy was.

"I don't have to answer you," Baelfire sneered.

"Ooh. But I can make you. But to prove to you that not all pirates are as you fear, I'll simply ask again - what's your name?" He questioned.

"Baelfire," the boy answered, and Killian realised who he was. Milah's son.

"Welcome aboard, Baelfire. It's a pirate's life for you," Hook replied, smiling as his plans changed for the boy.

Henry swings happily at the park while Granny supervises, unaware of Mr Gold watching his grandson from a distance, and notices that if the swing rope breaks, Henry will be killed by sharp rocks nearby. Mr Gold begins to magically tear the rope when Emma, Mary Margaret, and David arrive in his truck. "Gold. What are you doing here?" David asks him.

"Well, my son made it clear I'm to stay away from him, so I'm spending some time with my grandson instead," Mr Gold retorts.

"Emma, it's okay. Why don't you talk to Henry, and we'll handle this," Mary Margaret assures her daughter, and Emma nods before walking over to Henry.

"Emma," Henry greets his birth mother.

"Henry, hey," Emma replies.

"Mr Gold, we have some news to share with you, and it's not good," Mary Margaret informs him.

"Not interested," Mr Gold snaps.

"It's about your son," David tells him.

"Yeah. What about him?" He asks, looking at the Charmings.

"I…have something really…" Emma says, looking at her son, not wanting to tell him about Landon and Neal, but she knows she needs to, especially because she can't believe it herself.

"Tamara shot him," David informs Mr Gold, who looks devastated at the news.

"What? He's dead?" Mr Gold questions, trying to wrap his head around the news.

"They used a bean to open a portal. Neal and Landon were hurt so badly that they fell through. They're gone," he replies.

"Bae wasn't supposed to die," the Dark One mutters.

"Greg and Tamara—they took something from Regina—a magical trigger. A fail-safe in the curse that could destroy Storybrooke," Charming informs him.

"If they activate it, it's a self-destruct. Everyone not born in this world will die," Mary Margaret adds.

"I know this is hard, but we need your help," David tells him.

"No," Mr Gold answers shortly.

"They killed your son in cold blood, and you don't wanna stop them?" He questions, frowning in disbelief.

"They didn't kill my son. I did. I brought magic to this world to find Bae, and now he's dead. Magic always has a price, and this—this is it. But I'm prepared to pay it," the Dark One argues.

"But... We'll die. You'll die!" Mary Margaret snaps.

"Well, I've made my peace with that," Mr Gold replies, walking away, leaving Mary Margaret and David in shock.

Tamara, Killian, and Greg travel down through the mines for something to start the trigger to end Storybrooke. "It's just ahead," Greg announces.

"Are you sure whoever's in charge of you doesn't want you guys to die in a mine collapse?" Killian questions, looking at them.

"Just keep moving," Tamara orders him.

"Who is telling you what to do?" He wonders.

"You know what? That's not your concern. It's not ours, either," Greg argues.

"Not your concern. So you're telling me you don't know who commands you?" Hook questions, frowning.

"Unlike you, Hook, we believe in something," Tamara sighs, annoyed. "We have faith in the sacredness of our cause."

"We're here," Greg announces, taking one of the Dwarves' axes.

"So your sacred cause is pilfering a dwarf's pickaxe?" Killian questions, watching them.

"Regina had this," Tamara informs him, taking out a brown diamond, "in her pocket when you handed her over to us."

"It's a trigger, and this axe, according to our people, is what activates it," Greg replies, holding the pickaxe.

"You're going to destroy an entire town, and kill everyone in it…" Killian realises, looking at them in shock.

"Yeah, including your enemy," he assures him, smirking.

"Rumplestiltskin won't be immune to this?" Hook questions.

"None of your kind will be. Once this thing gets activated, nothing can shut it off," Greg informs him.

"This whole town will revert to the forest it was. So tell us, Hook. We're willing to die for our cause. Are you willing to die for yours?" Tamara asks him.

"Absolutely," Killian answers, though he's rethinking everything up to this point and doesn't like it. Greg presses the pickaxe down on the diamond, causing it to spark before levitating and giving off a blue glow. The two outsiders and the pirate leave as the destruction of Storybrooke begins, with vines beginning to encase the library.

Regina paces the room when the door opens to reveal Cora, who is crying. "Mother?" The dark-haired woman questions, surprised to see her mother out of the house as she was basically on house arrest because of everything. "How did you hear?"

"I could feel it. He's no longer in this realm," Cora replies, tears falling down her face. Suddenly, the door opens again to David, Henry, Emma, and Mary Margaret returning; the young boy spots his mother and Cora.

"Henry!" Regina exclaims, looking at her son, still devastated about losing her older twin brother, who has always been by her side since the womb.

"Mum!" Henry beams, running towards her, and they embrace when, out of the blue, an earthquake rumbles through Storybrooke and shakes the entire apartment.

"Regina, was that…?" Emma questions, looking at the Mayor.

"Yes. The diamond was activated," Regina confirms.

"So we're all gonna die," Henry mutters, thinking of his dad.

"You were born here, so you'll live," she assures her son.

"But… I'll be alone," he argues, looking at the adults.

"I'm so sorry, Henry," the dark-haired woman mutters, looking at her son apologetically.

"It's not gonna happen, I'm not gonna let it," Emma snaps, turning to Regina. "You did this, now make it stop."

"I can't, there's no way," Regina argues, looking at the blond woman.

"WELL, FIGURE IT OUT! It's your fault!" She shouts, having lost the love of her life.

"STOP! I already lost my dad and uncle. I don't wanna lose anybody else. We have to work together," Henry snaps, making the two women look at her; while he's talking, Killian enters, unseen by everyone else.

"From the mouths of babes, I'd say the lad has a point," Killian remarks, and David turns, not wasting a second, and punches the pirate across the face.

"That was for the last time we met," David snaps, glaring at Hook.

"Bloody hell," he mutters, and David draws his gun at the pirate.

"Tell us why you're here before I use something other than my fist," Charming growls.

"I think threatening to kill me seems a bit redundant when we're all about to die anyway." Hook remarks, wiping the blood from his chin and looking up to see Cora standing with her daughter. "I thought you said she died?"

"Did I?" Regina questions, smiling.

"Sneaky," Killian mutters. "Hello Cora."

"Hook," Cora retorts, smiling back at her old partner.

"Enough with the pleasantries. No thanks to you. Regina just told us you were working with Tamara and Greg to get your revenge," Emma snaps, glaring at Killian.

"Well, that was before they told me I had to die to get it," he argues.

"We don't have time for this. We have a real problem," she retorts.

"Which is why I'm here, 'cause staring death in the face has made me realise if there's one thing I want more than my revenge, it's my life. So should we start this thing now, and then resume bickering?" Hook questions, looking at the heroes.

"There is no stopping it. And the best thing I can do is slow it down, but that will only delay the inevitable," Regina argues, thinking about Landon and having lost him, meaning she has little to lose now. Regina looks at her mother, who nods, agreeing to help her daughter.

"It'll give us the time we need," David reasons.

"The time for what?" Mary Margaret asks, looking at her husband.

"Steal back the beans. Use them to get everyone into the Enchanted Forest before Storybrooke is gone," he tells them.

"How? We don't even know where Greg and Tamara are," Emma argues.

"Well, I do. I can help," Killian offers.

"Help yourself. You'll take them and leave us all behind. Why should we trust you?" She snaps.

"No, we won't have to. I'll go with him, and if he tries anything, I'll shoot him in the face," David suggests, glaring at the pirate.

"Quite hostile, aren't we?" He muses, smirking.

"Just being clear," Charming retorts.

"I'll take Regina and Cora to slow down the diamond; give you guys time," Emma suggests before turning to her mother. "Mary Margaret, take Henry and gather everyone. Make sure they're ready to go as soon as we have those beans." Mary Margaret and Henry begin to leave when Regina stops her son.

"Henry, before you go, I'm sorry for what's happened," Regina says, trying to apologise. "I tried to be the person that you wanted me to be and I failed. But I won't let you be alone. You just know that I love you."

"I love you, too," Henry replies, embracing her one last time, and then the small group of heroes go their separate ways.

"The things we do for our children…" Killian muses, watching before heading with David on their little side mission.

A rowboat of teenage boys jumped aboard the Jolly Roger, and Smee appeared terrified, not liking the turn of events. "Captain, we have to give them the boy. They've killed for less. The sooner we give them what they want, the sooner they leave us alone," Smee argued, not wanting to get on the wrong side of the leader of Neverland.

"No, I can't part with him now, not when I know he's the Dark One's son. It can't be chance that brought him here. Providence must be at work," Killian snapped. "He is the key to my revenge. I won't lose him." While talking, he was unaware that the boys from the rowboats, cloaked and ruthless-looking, arrived on deck, led by Felix, a particularly terrifying one.

"Do you know who we are?" Felix asked, looking at the Captain.

"You're the Lost Ones. You work for him," he replied, looking at them uneasily.

"We're looking for a boy that was seen adrift nearby. A boy he has a particular interest in," the older Lost Boy informed them.

"Then I'm afraid I'll have to send you away disappointed. As you can see, we're only men here," Hook argued confidentially.

"Then you won't mind if we search your ship," Felix suggested.

"Be my guest," Killian agreed, and the Lost Ones searched all over the Jolly Roger. One came close to finding Baelifre but did not prevail. "Told you. No one here but my crew."

"You're new to this land, which means I should warn you. Do you know what he does to people who lie to him?" He warned the pirate Captain.

"No. But I gather it hurts," the Captain retorted, looking at Felix.

"It does. He rips your shadow right from your body. R-R-R-R-Rip," the older Lost Boy warned him. "If you find him, you know who he belongs to. Good-bye, Captain." He exited with the others, and Killian lifted the hatch where Baelfire was hiding.

"I thought pirates only cared about themselves," Baelfire questioned, looking at Killian.

"Well, you've a lot to learn, boy," Killian replied, smirking.

The Dwarves look around the pawnshop for something when Mr Gold appears from the back room. "A sure sign of impending doom. Looters," Mr Gold comments, looking at them as Leroy picks up a decorated drinking stein.

"It ain't looting if the stuff you find's already yours," Leroy argues. "We need Sneezy's drinking stein. We can bring his memories back."

"Oh, can you?" He muses, not believing him.

"Mother Superior finally figured it out. He needs to drink this," Grumpy informs him, shocking the Dark One with a small bottle containing a blue liquid, "out of his old stein - something important to him."

"So she found the solution to the memory problem? Today? In the nick of time before we all die?" The Dark One questions, frowning.

"Die? Who's dying?" Mr Clark asks, looking between them.

"She's been working on it all along. Then when she had to transform August back to Pinocchio, she found the ingredient she needed—a hair from Pinocchio's head. Someone who returned to who he should be. Someone who wasn't cursed," Leroy explains.

"So you're gonna wake your friend up, to tell him he's about to die?" Mr Gold questions, making Mr Clark look at them in shock.

"I don't want that!" Mr Clark exclaims.

"Shut it, Clark!" Leroy snaps at him before turning to the Dark One. "He wants to know who he is and be with his family, no matter how much time he has left."

"Not if I'm gonna die!" He yells.

"Let's take him back to Granny's. Do it there," Grumpy suggests, and the others begin to do so. A very confused Mr Clark protests, and Leroy stays behind.

"Hey," Sneezy scoffs. "Hey, guys. If I don't have a family, will I still die? You know, I really don't think it's necessary, you know, to go through this."

"I asked her to make a second dose. This is for you," Leroy informs him, handing Mr Gold an identical bottle.

"Well, what am I supposed to do with that?" Mr Gold wonders, taking it.

"Belle once helped remind me who I was. I've never forgotten. I wanna return the favour. Don't let her die as Lacey," he replies before exiting, and Lacey emerges from the back room.

"What was all that about?" Lacey asks, looking at Mr Gold.

"Oh, it was nothing," Mr Gold replies, turning to her.

Behind the building for the Storybrooke Cannery Co., Greg dumps an accordion file of paper into a trash can fire, tossing an envelope, and then runs just as David and Killian pull up. "Over there," Killian announces.

"Time's running out," he states.

"Oh, is that what that means?" Charming replies sarcastically.

Killian navigated the ship when Baelfire walked over to the pirate Captain. "Your sea legs aren;t bad for a landlubber," Killian remarked.

"Yeah. But I still get queasy," Baelfire replied.

"Oh, it'll pass," he assured the boy. "Just think of yourself as an extension of the ship. Do you care to try a hand at the helm?"

"I know nothing of sailing," the boy argued.

"Oh, once you get your bearings, it's easy as pie," Hook told him. "Now…" He used his hook to etch into the ship. "The left side is called port and the right side is called starboard. Now, go two notches to port." Baelfire followed his instructions. "Well done, mate. You were born with the sea in your blood."

"Thanks," Baelfire replied, smiling a little.

"You spoke of your mother's fate. But your father-what became of him? You say he left you?" Killian asked, curious.

"It's a long story," he said.

"It's one that I know well," the Captain remarked. "When I was a boy, my father and I boarded a ship with plans to travel the realms. One morning, I awoke, and he was gone. Turned out he was a fugitive. He had fled in the middle of the night to avoid capture."

"He abandoned you?" the son of Rumpelstiltskin wondered, looking at him.

"Aye. That he did," Killian replied.

"If I tell you something, will you promise not to tell the crew?" Baelfire asked. "They may become frightened." Killian nodded. "My father - the reason I don't speak of him is because… he's the Dark One. He once was a man, but when I got drafted to the Ogre Wars, he wanted to protect me. So he went in search of the Dark One's dagger. And once he got it, he grew obsessed with the power it gave him."

"He draws his power from a dagger?" He questioned, happy to learn about this new information against his enemy.

"Yes. It's the only weapon that can kill him. And the only thing he truly cares about anymore. He chose it over me. My papa abandoned me, too," the boy replied, looking sadly at the Captain.

David and Killian walk through the Cannery looking for Greg, Tamara, and the magic beans. "So, tell me, Hook, all this time, it's been about revenge for you. Why is that suddenly so important to you that you survive? I know what I'm fighting for - my family. What are you fighting for?" David asks him.

"Myself. That's plenty of motivation, I can assure you," Killian replies, smirking, and they hear a noise in the distance from another part of the Cannery.

"Quiet," he mutters, lowering his voice and taking out his gun just as Greg approaches. "The beans. Give them to me," he snaps at Greg.

"You mean these?" Greg asks, taking out a small jar of magic beans. Tamara appears, shooting David's gun out of his hand. A fight breaks out between the four. While David chases Tamara, Killian and Greg wrestle for the last magic beans. In the end, Greg escapes and catches up with Tamara, who is cornered by David. She attempts to shoot David, but Greg stops her. "No! Come on. We got what we need." They quickly run off, and David attempts to chase them, but Killian grabs him, stopping him from following.

"What are you doing? They've got the beans!" Charming snaps at the pirate.

"Not all of them. I snagged one," Killian informs them, showing the bean to David.

"Where are the rest?" David asks, frowning.

"Who cares? All we need is one," he argues, and David attempts to run after them again. "Hey! Live to fight another day, mate!"

"I'm not your mate!" The Prince shouts, taking the bean and putting it in his pocket.

Below Storybrooke in the mines, Emma, Regina, and Cora make their way to the location of the trigger. "I can feel it. It's like the oxygen's being sucked out of the air," Emma comments, looking around.

"Not the oxygen. The magic," Cora informs the inexperienced and young magic user, and they arrive at the exact location of the trigger.

"There it is," Regina announces, and they find the brown glowing diamond hovering in the air. "Once it stops glowing, its destruction is achieved. And then… Well, then we'll see the real carnage. We'll try to contain its energy as long as we can."

"Won't be long. We'll have the beans soon. We can get the hell out of here," Emma tells her.

"Slowing the device… It's going to require all of the strength we have," she replies, frowning.

"You're not coming with us, are you?" The blond woman questions. "When you said goodbye to Henry, you were…saying goodbye."

"He knows I love him, doesn't he?" The Evil Queen wonders, looking at Emma.

"Regina, no. There has gotta be another way!" Emma snaps.

"You were right, you know. Everything that's happening, it's my fault. I created this device. It's only fitting that it takes my life," she argues, wanting to protect her son.

"What am I supposed to tell Henry?" The Sheriff asks her.

"Tell him that in the end, it wasn't too late for me to do the right thing," the dark-haired woman replies calmly.

"Regina, please…" Emma gasps.

"Everyone looks at me as the Evil Queen, including my son. Let me die as Regina," Regina begs, and Emma begins to leave but then turns around for one final plea.

"Regina -," she says, but Regina ignores her, holding her hands beside the trigger and using her magic to slow it down.

"I love you, Regina," Cora mutters, smiling at her daughter as she steps forward on the other side of the trigger.

"I love you, too, mum," Regina replies. "I wish Landon was here. He'd know what to do."

"I know," she sighs, holding her hands over Regina's as the two Mills women focus their magic on the trigger to slow it down so everyone can escape and try to redeem themselves.

The outside of Mr Gold's pawn shop is becoming overrun with vine plants as Mr Gold pours a drink for himself and Lacey, trying to celebrate the end together. "To the end of the world," Mr Gold says, and Lacey hesitates for a second. "Come on, it'll help numb it."

"I, uh, I'll drink that," Lacey suggests, reaching for her cup, but spills it. "Oh. I-I'm so sorry. Uh, here. I got it." She grabs Baelfire's shawl and begins cleaning up the wine.

"Stop! Stop! Put that down!" He snaps urgently.

"It's just an old rag," she argues, and he snatches the shawl.

"It belonged to someone very important. You wouldn't understand," the Dark One retorts.

"I said I'm sorry," the barfly mutters and Mr Gold realises what he needs to do now. He walks over to a cabinet, picks up the remains of the chipped teacup, and magically repairs it. "That cup again. What is it?"

"It's something from my past," Mr Gold tells her. "From our past. And I'm sorry. Let's not fight." He pours the potion Leroy gave him earlier into the cup and hands it to Lacey, who sips, regaining her memories as Belle. "Belle?" He fights back tears.

"Rumple," Belle cries, and they embrace and kiss lovingly.

"I'm so sorry. I didn't wanna wake you up to die. But I needed you," he informs her.

"You lost your son. I'm so sorry. I'm sorry," she sobs, clinging to him.

"I've failed. I've failed," Rumpelstiltskin mutters hopelessly.

The entire population of Storybrooke is gathered inside Granny's Diner when David and Hook arrive with the magic bean. "We have the bean," David announces.

"You did it?" Emma asks, surprised.

"Yeah," he replies, and she notices an injury on his arm.

"You okay?" She questions, frowning.

"Oh. it's…grazed. It's fine," Charming assures her.

"Okay. Let's get going," the blond woman announces, turning to her son. "Henry?"

"Wh-Where's my mum?" Henry asks, frowning.

"Regina and Cora can hold off the self-destruct device long enough for us to escape, but…" Emma informs him, not wanting to tell him.

"But what?" He questions.

"They won't survive," she tells him.

"No. No," the Mills boy mutters, shaking his head.

"Henry, I'm sorry. I promised her I'd get you to safety," the Saviour tells him, wanting to protect her son.

"But we can't do this! She's family! We don't leave family behind!" Henry yells, looking at the others for help.

"This is what she wants. We have a way out. We have to take it," Emma argues, not wanting him or anyone else to be put in the crosshairs.

"We saved her from being killed by the Wraith. How is this any different?" He questions, and Mary Margaret comes up with an idea.

"The Wraith!" Mary Margaret exclaims, making the others look at her.

"What?" Emma questions, frowning.

"We sent it through a portal," she states, earning confused stares. "Why can't we do the same thing with the self-destruct?"

"Because we don't know if it's gonna work," the blond woman retorts.

"It could," Snow argues, having faith.

"Yeah," David agrees with his wife readily.

"It's too risky. No one will go along with it," Emma snaps.

"Yes, we will," Archie says, stepping towards him. "Because it's the right thing to do. Look, Snow White and the Prince have always led us before, and we've always won. So, who's willing to let them lead us again?" Everyone cheers in agreement.

"Thank you, Archie," Mary Margaret replies, smiling and turning to Emma. "Oh, this is what we should do."

"And will do," David agrees.

"Look, I know we haven't had a lot of chances to be parents, but give us this one. Let us do the right thing. It's not too late," she tells her daughter, who turns to embrace Henry, maybe for the last time.

"I just don't want him to be alone," Emma says. "I don't want him to grow up the way I did." A loud boom rumbles through Storybrooke, and then another earthquake tremors, the largest one yet. "This plan could fail. If we use that bean now, we can get away for sure. We will survive."

"But it's wrong. Emma, I nearly killed her mother," Snow argues, looking at her daughter.

"You did that to Cora because you had to," she retorts.

"I did it because it was easy," Mary Margaret replies. "It was a mistake. There were other paths, harder paths, and I wish I had taken them. So please, Emma, honey, let's take the hard path. Because if we don't we will be building a future on Regina's blood." Emma hesitates for a moment, looking at her parents.

"Okay," the blond woman agrees, and David tosses her the magic bean, but Killian intercepts, taking it.

"You're all mad," Killian remarks, making Emma and David attempt to grab it back. "I can live with myself.

"Give it back," Emma orders him.

"If they want to die for us, I say let them," he argues.

"You and I - we understand each other. Look out for yourself, and you'll never get hurt, right?" She asks him.

"Worked quite well for me," Hook comments.

"Yeah, till the day that it didn't," the Saviour argues. "We're gonna do this. It might be stupid, it might be crazy, but we're doing it. So…you can join us and be a part of something, or you can do what you can do best and be alone." Killian hands her the pouch supposedly containing the magic bean.

"Quite passionate, Swan," Killian remarks, and everyone leaves the Diner. "Why are you really doing this?"

"The kid just lost his father and uncle today. I'm not letting him lose a mother too," Emma replies, looking at him.

"His father? Who's Henry's father?" He wonders, frowning.

"Neal," she answers.

"Baelfire?" The Pirate questions, thinking of the boy he once had in his care long ago.

"Yeah," the blond woman says, seeing a look in his eyes.

"Captain, why is Baelfire still aboard the Jolly Roger?!" Smee snapped, walking towards Killian, who stared into the calm waters. "The boy has given you a path to revenge, but you can't walk that path if you're dead!"

"Careful, Mr Smee," Killian replied, growing annoyed at the man.

"Captain, you know quite well that he is after the boy. If you don't surrender Baelfire to him, the lost ones will take him anyway and kill you," he argued, trying to get the man to see reason.

"I'M THE CAPTAIN!" Hook shouted. "I GIVE THE ORDERS! AND ANYONE WHO DISOBEYS CAN WALK THE PLANK AND PRAY THAT THE MERMAIDS TAKE PITY ON HIS SOUL!" Suddenly, Baelfire appeared, carrying a sword and the drawing of Milah.

"Face me, villain!" Baelfire yelled, swinging the blade at Killian.

"Whoa! What's this about, Bae?" Killian asked him, dodging the swings.

"I found this -," he announced, holding up Milah's picture, "-on your desk, It's my mother. How'd you get it?"

"Bae-," Hook muttered, looking at him.

"HOW?!" The boy shouted, swinging the sword as Killian ducked. "You're the pirate that killed her!"

"I didn't kill your mother," Killian replied. "We fell in love, and we ran off together. Your father lied to you. He was too much of a coward to tell you the truth. He tore out her heart and crushed it in front of me. And I've spent every moment since then wanting revenge."

"She abandoned me?" Baelfire questioned, looking down at the wooden deck in despair.

"Not a single day went past where your mother didn't regret leaving you, Baelfire," he assured the boy. "We talked about going back for you when you were old enough. Perhaps fate brought us together to make good on those plans. We can live the life that Milah wanted for us, as a family."

"No! Stay back!" The son of Rumpelstiltskin snapped, glaring at the pirate, who tried to step towards him. "You used me! You wanted to kill my father!"

"Yes. I did," the pirate Captain agreed.

"You tore apart my family, as sure as if you ripped her heart out yourself," Baelfire growled.

"Bae, don't," Killian muttered.

"Take me back to my real family - the Darlings," he demanded.

"Uh, I can;t," Hook replied. "It's not possible to leave Neverland. But you can stay here, under my protection."

"I'd rather fend for myself than be with you. I want off this ship, pirate," the boy snapped.

"They're gonna open up a portal, throw this thing into a void," David explains.

"We have to try," Mary Margaret tells her.

"Everybody, step aside. Emma?" David says, and Emma pulls out the pouch containing the magic bean, opens it up and finds it empty.

"It's empty," Emma announces, making everyone look at her. "Hook."

(SPELLBINDING)

Killian boards the Jolly Roger, takes out the magic bean, and prepares to throw it into the sea when he thinks about what Emma said.

- {Neverland. Past.} -

The Jolly Roger headed for the main island in Neverland to drop off Baelfire. "Eager to go, I see," Killian commented, looking at the boy.

"Just drop me off anywhere," Baelfire snapped, glaring at the pirate Captain.

"You really think you can survive on your own?" He asked him.

"I've never been given the choice," the boy argued.

"Well, you have one now," Hook replied, looking at him with hope.

"Anywhere will do," Baelfire told him, ignoring the man.

"I get you're angry. But it doesn't have to end like this," Killian argued. "The ship can be your home, your family. Just say the word. It's not too late to start over. I can change, Bae, for you."

"You say that. I know you'll never change. Because all you care about is yourself," he snapped, glaring at him.

"Thank you. For reminding me what I'm all about - killing your father!" The pirate Captain yelled, and the Lost Ones appeared and put Baelfire in their boat.

"You're not letting me go?!" The son of Rumpelstiltskin shouted, struggling against the other boys.

"How would that help me?" Killian retorted.

"You hated my father so much, you didn't even realise you were just like him!" Baelfire screamed.

"You have the boy. He will be pleased?" He asked Felix as the Lost Ones placed a bag over Baelfire's head and rowed away. Killian walked over to the helm, glancing at the etching of port and starboard he used to teach Baelire, and scratched them out with his hook.

(SPELLBINDING)

Killian motions to throw the magic bean into the sea when he eyes the scratched-out port and starboard, making him stop as he thinks about Baelfire.

As the townspeople run around in terror as the town grows more overridden with plants, Emma, David, Henry, Mary Margaret, Cora, and Regina are still below in the mines. The outcome seems unavoidable - this is the END. "We can't contain this much longer," Regina tells them, and Emma steps towards Mary Margaret and David.

"Mum…Dad…" Emma mutters, and they embrace tearfully, and Henry goes over to Regina.

"I love you, Henry. I only wish I was strong enough to stop all this," she confesses. "I'm just not." In realisation, Emma releases a small gasp, then goes over to Henry, Regina, and Cora.

"You may not be strong enough, but maybe we are," the blond woman comments as Henry, Mary Margaret, and David stand back; the three women combine their magic and successfully diffuse the trigger, saving the town but also knocking themselves out in the process.

(SPELLBINDING)

Mr Gold steps outside his shop and watches as the trees and leaves cease to exist, and the trigger is destroyed.

(SPELLBINDING)

Everyone inside the mines slowly regains consciousness and gets to their feet, unaware of what transpired while unconscious. "We're alive!" David exclaims before helping his wife to her feet.

"Emma?" Mary Margaret calls, rushing to her daughter and helping her to her feet, as Regina goes over and picks up the now diffused trigger.

"We did it," Emma mutters, surprised.

"Yes, we did," Regina confirms, helping Cora to her feet.

"Gotta hand it to Henry. He's right about a lot of things," David comments.

"Yes, he is. Isn't that right, kid?" Emma questions, turning around, but Henry has disappeared. "Henry?"

"Henry?" Regina calls for her son, and they begin exploring the mines for Henry, but he's gone.

"Henry?" She shouts, seeing something ahead and running.

"Emma, what is it?" Mary Margaret asks, and Emma picks it up, showing them Henry's backpack.

"They took him," the blond woman announces, glaring at the mine's entrance.

(SPELLBINDING)

Outside the Cannery, as Greg and Tamara make their quick getaway, they take Henry with them for insurance and their orders from the Home Office. "Relax, kid. We're not gonna hurt you," Tamara assures him as they run.

"Just everyone I love. You tried to blow up Storybrooke!" Henry snaps back at the outsiders.

"True, but that was never the point," she argues.

"It wasn't?" He questions, frowning.

"We came here to destroy magic, Henry, but then we found something more important, something that changed everything—you," Greg informs him, making the Mills boy look at them in shock.

(SPELLBINDING)

Emma, David, Regina, Cora, and Mary Margaret chase down Greg and Tamara, nearing the docks. "Emma, you don't even know where you're going," Mary Margaret argues, running behind Emma.

"Doesn't matter, I have to find him," Emma retorts. "I'll track them down in hell if I have to," They finally catch up to Greg and Tamara, but it is too late - Greg opens up a portal the second he notices the four of them.

"The last bean. They've opened a portal," Regina announces.

"Henry!" She shouts.

"Henry!" David yells, and Greg and Tamara leap through the portal with Henry in tow.

"No! No! No! We have to follow them!" The blond woman snaps. "There has to be a way!"

"Not only do we not know where they went, but Hook stole the last bean!" Regina argues.

"I don't care!" Emma yells back at her.

"Without it, there's no way to follow," she snaps.

"There has to be. We can't just let them take Henry!" The Saviour shouts, and while they're talking, Mr Gold and Belle enter.

"They've taken Henry?" Mr Gold questions, making the others turn to look at them.

"Yeah. You're the Dark One. Do something," David snaps, turning to the Dark One.

"Gold, help us," Emma begs, looking at him.

"There's no way. I spent a lifetime trying to cross worlds to find my son. There's no way in this world without a portal," Mr Gold argues.

"So that's it? He's gone forever? I refuse to believe that," Regina snaps, close to tears, and Cora comforts her daughter. Belle spots something coming closer in the distance.

"What is that?" Belle asks, spotting the Jolly Roger and it is on its way to the docks.

"Hook," Emma mutters, and they rush to the docks, greeting Killian. "What the hell are you doing here?"

"Helping," Killian replies, departing from the ship.

"Well, you're too late," Regina snaps.

"Am I?" He questions, frowning.

"I thought you didn't care about anyone but yourself," Emma wonders, and Killian holds out the magic bean and hands it back to Emma.

"Maybe I just needed reminding that I could," Hook replies.

"Enough waiting around, let's go," Cora orders, walking past with Regina.

"Go? Where? I thought we were saving the town," Killian questions, frowning.

"We already did," David states, joining the others.

"We need to get Henry. Greg and Tamara took him through a portal," Emma informs him.

"Well, I offer my ship and my services to help follow them," Killian tells them.

"Well that's great, Hook, but how do we track them?" Regina questions.

"Leave that to me. I can get us to where we need to go," Mr Gold announces.

"Well, let's do it," Mary Margaret replies.

"Belle, I have to go. You have to stay here," he tells Belle, turning to her and ignoring Mary Margaret for now.

"No. Why? I wanna help," Belle argues, looking at him.

"The town is no longer safe," the Dark One informs her.

"What?" She asks, shocked.

"What? David echoes, overhearing him.

"Well, Greg and Tamara weren't working alone. Others will follow," Mr Gold argues.

"No. We can't leave people in danger," he snaps, and Mr Gold takes out a small sheet of paper, handing it to Belle.

"After we've gone, follow these instructions. It's a cloaking spell. It'll shield the town, making it impossible for anyone to find," the Dark One explains.

"Then how will you find your way back to me?" Belle asks her and is met with silence. "You're not coming back, are you?"

"The prophecy. The boy is my undoing, but he's also my grandson. I must save him. I must do this to honor Baelfire. He's gone, and I didn't even get the chance to say goodbye," Mr Gold argues, wanting to protect Henry for his son's sake and memory.

"I understand, but I also know that the future isn't always what it seems. I will see you again," she assures him, and they sweetly kiss, then tearfully begin to go their separate ways. "Baelfire would be very proud of you."

- {Enchanted Forest. Present} -

On a beach in the Enchanted Forest, two men's bodies lie unconscious on the sandy ground when three figures approach; they are Princess Aurora, Mulan, and Prince Phillip. "Who are they?" Phillip wonders, frowning and looking at the two men. Mulan nudges the other body, turning them to face the three saviours.

"I don't know," Aurora replies, but then she sees the other body. "Landon…"

"Are they alive?" He asks, looking at his bride, who kneels beside the unconscious man on the left and feels for a pulse.

"Barely. We have to get him help," she informs him, growing worried for the stranger. "We need to help Landon."

"Landon?" The Prince questions, looking at the two women. "The Historian?"

"He helped us, we must return the favour," Mulan replies.

"Help me get him up," Phillip states, and Mulan helps lift the man over his shoulder, revealing the mystery man to be Neal. Mulan drags Landon by his ankle across the sand.

"Please don't wake up," Aurora mutters, hoping Landon stays unconscious while Mulan drags him back to their castle.

- {Jolly Roger. Present} -

Aboard the Jolly Roger, Killian and Mr Gold stand face to face, the tension between them still palpable. "So, are you done trying to kill me?" Mr Gold questions, looking at his longest enemy.

"I believe so," Killian replies, smirking.

"Excellent. Then you can live," he replies before magically summoning the Magic Globe, pricking his finger on the map, which forms a strange island.

"Where is that? Where did they take Henry?" Regina snaps, looking at the Dark One, who looks at Hook.

"Neverland," Killian answers, looking nervously at the Magic Globe.

- {Neverland. Past.} -

The Lost Ones arrived on the island shores and showed Baelfire to another one of the Lost Ones. "Is it the boy? The one that he wants?" Felix questioned, and the boy examined Baelfire, then a piece of paper.

"No, it's not," the Lost Boy replied.

"It's your lucky day, boy," he remarked, smirking at Baelfire. "You get to live. Put him with the rest."

- {Jolly Roger. Present} -

Killian throws the Magic Bean into the water away from the ship as everyone prepares to sail through it. "So who are we up against? Who are Greg and Tamara?" David asks, clinging to the rope with Mary Margaret.

"They're merely pawns, manipulated by forces far greater than they can conceive. They have no idea who they're truly working for," Mr Gold replies, holding tightly to the rope as they grow closer to the portal before dipping over the edge.

"And who's that?!" Emma shouts over the crashing waves.

"Someone we all should fear," he yells as they sail through the portal to Neverland.

(SPELLBINDING)

- {Neverland. Past.} -

"If that's not the boy he's looking for, do you think we'll be able to find him?" The Lost Boy asked, looking at Felix with hope.

"Of course we will. It may take time, but Peter Pan never fails," Felix replied confidently with a smirk, and the other Lost One handed him the drawing of the boy Peter Pan was looking for - Henry Mills.
