Chapter 9

Knowing Freya

Holly winnowed into Freya cell to see how she was doing and found Rhys there with his hand on Feyra arm with a tattoo going up the hand and arm.

"You couldn't have waited for me?" Holly asked, walking over. Freya eyes widen at the sight of Holly.

"You were with your father and she was on the verge of dying." Rhys didn't look at Holly as Feyre ripped her hand free from Rhys. Holly's father had summoned her home and she nearly got a beating for what Amaratha did. Luckily Cedric stepped in and stopped it. So Holly had to do some needed chores that was needed and it took longer then expected. Rhys stood and gave her a worried look.

"I'm alright." Holly said.

"Well. I want you to get to know our friend here. She'll be spending a week at the Night Court once we get out of here and I think you and her would get along real well." Rhys said with a smile on his face and he winnows away. Freye looked at Holly as she came over and knelt next to the human and looked her over.

"Your the fae that's always sitting in front of the dais in that throne." Holly looked at Freye. "And always with Rhysand. Who are you?"

"My name is Holly. My father is the King of Hybern." Holly said. Feyre's eyes widen. "Looks like Rhys healed your arm."

"Why are you here? Shouldn't you be with your family?" Holly shook her head.

"I'm here because Rhys is more family then my own father. Besides. I want what all of us want. To get out of here." Holly said. She sighed. "Hybern was never my home. The Night Court is more my home." Feyre raised an eyebrow. "Rhys saved me from my family and offered me a home. It's not as bad as they say. We have our reasons for being here." She wouldn't reveal the truth of her reasons.

"You have a reason?" Feyre asked.

"I do. I keep finding ways to get back. So far nothing. Maybe your our hope to get out of this." Holly looked down and saw one of the shadows move up her hand and disappear into the sleeve of her dress. Azriel's face flashed in her head. The blanket on her mating bond wouldn't lift till Amaratha was killed or freed them. Footsteps were heard from the outside. "I need to go. I'll see you around." Holly winnows out of the cell and into Rhys's rooms.

Rhys was lounging on the bed when Holly appeared in his room.

"What is the girl to you?" Holly crossed her arms as she approached Rhys.

"I think you already figured it out." Rhys looked at Holly.

"You think she can do all these challenges and free Tamlin?" Holly asked.

"And when Tamlin is free, he kill Amaratha and we're all be free." Rhys said. Holly came over to him.

"She's a human. Amaratha is not going to let her walk out of here alive." Holly said. Rhys was staring up at the ceiling. "She will do the same like her and my father did to their human slaves. What they still want to do."

"I know." Rhys sits up and looks at the girl that he considered like a sister. "Keep having your spies lead your father on." Holly didn't argue there. "We will see after the Third Task."

"I hope your right Rhys. Fifty years has been long enough." Holly turns and leaves the room. Holly was tired of waiting, but now they might have a chance. Holly hoped he was right.

AN: Sorry for the long wait. Till next time.
