Chapter 3:
After explaining everything to the kids, Emma shows the cauldron to Regina. "I can't believe you found the Black Cauldron," says Regina, "this thing is fueled by the spirit of an evil overlord who ruled over the land of Prydain! It has the power to raise the dead!"
"Does the name Madame Medusa mean anything to you," asks Emma.
"That name rings a bell," says Regina, "I had her kicked out of Story Brook when she tried to steal from me. She must've been lurking the woods this whole time!"
"You could've just put her in jail," says Emma.
"In my defense, I was evil at the time," says Regina, but then she realizes that's not a very good defense but moves on. "As long as she's out there, she can't get back in!"
...
The kids were at Granny's. "So, everyone here is a fairy tale character," asks Kimi, "and you're Red Riding Hood's grandma? Then, where's Red Riding Hood?"
"Oh, she's with her girlfriend, Dorothy in Oz," says Granny.
"Mind blown," says Dil.
"And Snow White's daughter is dating Captain Hook," asks Lil, "why?"
"That's him now," says Granny.
They see Hook. "Never mind," says Lil, "I can see it."
"So, you're the kids that discovered the cauldron," says Hook.
"Yeah, and now, we should be leaving," says Angelica.
"Easier said than done," says Hook, "as long as Madame Medusa is out there, it wouldn't be safe. She might have gone mad by now."
...
Madame Medusa needed a way past the town line and into Story Brook. "Sooner or later, one of those kids is going to have to come out here and when that happens, I will force them to take me into town, then the power of the Black Cauldron will be mine!"
