Hello again. For some inexplicable reason that may or may not be related to this fic rising from the grave, I have decided to do another meta omake in the same universe where ARMORED CORE VI: EMBERS OF RUBICON is the blockbuster hit video game published in 2023.

For the story trailer segment, I shamelessly cribbed from the Stellaris: Apocalypse trailer, because that trailer was fucking awesome.

AC6 Rare Dialogue You May Have Missed

Text Overlay (on black): It is possible to trigger unusual dialogue if you choose to do something off-beat.

Grid 135 Cleanup

Main System

Activating Combat Mode

Walter (in game): "621, you left your weapons back at the base… are you having memory problems? Gen 4 augmentations shouldn't… nevermind. Get to work. You only have MTs to deal with at worst, so you can punch them out. I'm going to be looking into this, though."

Fade to black…

Eliminate the Doser Faction

Main System

Activating Combat Mode

Carla (in game): "Alright, tourist, let's get mov- wait. Wait. You haven't brought any weapons?... Ahahaha, wow. Walter sure knows how to pick 'em. Well, get out there and bag me some coyotes. Snrk."

Ayre (in game): "Raven, they're already moving in… I hope you know what you're doing…"

Fade to black…

Text Overlay: There are many opportunities to do this, and there are some real highlights. The most well-known is the unique dialogue which occurs whenever the player chooses to start a mission without any weapons equipped. The dialogue is unique to each mission and is the first thing said after you become able to move your character.

Continued Text Overlay Replacing Previous: Of particular note is Drich's dialogue in the penultimate mission of Chapter 7's Defeat Allmind path.

Escape Xylem Crash Site

Main System

Activating Combat Mode

Drich (in game): "... Raven. I have to ask. Is this a game to you? No, I don't mean that as in 'is this a joke,' I mean that literally. Is this, everything happening right now, a game… to you? Wait, actually, no, don't answer that, I don't want to know. Get out of this alive first – I'll put you in timeout later, you absolute brat."

Ezra (in game): "What is Mom talking about?"

Ayre (in game): "I… don't know."

Drich (in game): "Don't waggle your waves over it kiddos. Raven knows what they did, and they are super grounded."

Text Overlay: Each character seems to have a comedic 'focus' that their situational jokes orbit when they react to 621's oddities, and for Drich, the joke seems to be that she is somehow aware of the 4th Wall in a very Deadpool or The Office sort of way.

Continued Text Overlay Replacing Previous: Some interesting things happen if Drich's knowledge is taken seriously and not as SOD destroying nonsense that lorehunters are forced to disregard. For example, it lends some credence to the idea of Drich as an Eldritch, extra dimensional being…

(video continues for 20 additional minutes)

sargentoblob: wth?! how did I miss so much shit? I played through all five endings and missed almost ALL of this!

miyazakisleftpinkie: alien mom 3

ThursdayAddams: idk if anybody knows about this yet (can't find it on YouTube) but Drich has some hilarious lines if you take 621 down a faster secret side path in Watchpoint Alpha Depth 2 during the Defeat Allmind path - she's SO EXASPERATED and like "don't fuck up your speed run, please, for my sake," it's GREAT

Armored Core VI: Embers of Rubicon | Story Trailer 3

The trailer opens with an indistinct painterly image of a roughly clothed man floating in a dark abyss filled with arcs of red electricity.

Father Dolmayan (voice overlay): "Coral… you abided… when no one deserved such kindness."

The man's face is revealed- an old man with a gray close-cropped beard, eyes closed in a peaceful expression.

Father Dolmayan (voice overlay): "Because of you, there's hope for the future now."

The man's eyes open.

Father Dolmayan (voice overlay): "A future that I look forward to, every day."

The view switches to a more side-on image, revealing a large orb of red lightning in front of the old man.

Father Dolmayan (voice overlay): "Now, after you gave us so much, it is time for us to give back."

The view changes to a snowy landscape, showing a heavily armed cylindrical fortress. A heavy transport helicopter with a logo and RLF emblazoned on it is shown approaching.

Male Soldier (background voice, on comms): "Lone bogey coming… wait, no, five… fu-(static)-!"

More and more heavy machinery appears, approaching the base at top speed. Heavy transport helicopters, drones, tanks, odd self-propelling wheels, and of course armored cores. The focus changes to the leading armored core, showing the face of the old man inside, focused and eyes blazing with righteous fury.

Father Dolmayan (voice overlay): "With your strength, you protected us."

A blue-white dome appears, surrounding the entrance of the base. The flying RLF drones cross the distance first, most of them striking and exploding against the shield, with a few being taken down by anti-air auto cannons. Slowly – too slowly – MTs are emerging in order to confront the incoming tide.

Female Soldier (background voice, on comms): "Damnit! There's thousands of them! Code 78! Code 78-!"

Enforcement System (background): "Rendering Verdi- (electronic screeching)."

Father Dolmayan (voice overlay): "Now… we will do all we can to take back your home, mother. Our home."

The view changes to underground, at a facility hanging above a giant net of lasers blocking the way further down. There's a massive, fiery explosion that destroys the facility, the laser net flickering out and three flying bipedal automatons soaring up, aglow with red electricity and bristling with drones arranged in winglike formations.

The view changes again, to a view of the planet from space, next to a ring of satellites – there are explosions occurring all over the world.

Multiple, including Father Dolmayan (voice overlay): "Coral, we abide by you! In the name of Rubicon, we swear on our lives and our hearts!"

The view changes to the snowy fortress, where things have devolved into a one-sided clash. Panicked soldiers are flooding the background comm chatter as missiles and metal drown the defenses of the installation. As if to punctuate the overwhelming onslaught, a train-sized metal snake bursts out of the ground and smashes its face into a stationary machine glowing blue. The shield surrounding the fortress's entrance flickers out.

Multiple, including Father Dolmayan (voice overlay): "To defend our freedom, from oppression, from exploitation, from annihilation!"

The view changes to underground again, where the three strange bipedal automatons break into a gigantic vertical chamber where there's a skyscraper-sized cannon pointing straight upwards. Two of the automatons rip out a blue glowing cable from the base of the cannon, then the third one shoves its arm inside the hole. The blue glow changes to red.

Outside, armored cores are pouring inside the base, led by the old man.

Multiple, including Father Dolmayan (voice overlay): "And to establish a foundation of dignity and fellowship for all Rubiconians!"

Inside, it is revealed that the snowy fortress is the upper end of the multiple-miles-long vertical chamber. The armored cores arrange themselves around the edge and aim their artillery upwards, firing at the ceiling with an unrelenting wave of missiles and bombs that open up the way to the sky. Far below, the three automatons have all hooked themselves up to the skyscraper-sized cannon, which is charging up with an ominous red glow, becoming brighter and brighter.

Multiple, including Father Dolmayan (voice overlay): "In every mountain and valley, and on every moon and planet of the System!"

The view switches back to space, viewing the planet below. There is a large, spherical satellite with a large red 'eye' and armed with many cannons. Below, amongst all the explosions occurring on the planet's surface, there is a slowly brightening red light. The satellite's red eye appears to focus on it.

In the vertical chamber, where it has become many times brighter than the sun and where there are arcs of red electricity sparking through the air, the armored cores are all backing away to the edge of the upper part of the chamber. The old man, inside his armored core, is looking up at the hole in the ceiling, towards the sky. He closes his eyes as the brightness intensifies.

Father Dolmayan, alone again (voice overlay): "Until… the end… of time…!"

The view changes to space one last time, showing a distant side view of the spherical satellite, the planet covering the bottom third of the screen. From below, a red laser leaps upwards, spearing the satellite in an instant that seems to last an eternity. Nothing happens for a moment… and then the satellite explodes in a spectacular fireball, metal flying out in every direction.

The scene fades to black, replaced by the logo of the game:
