Percy woke up to the sounds of rushing water and birds chirping. And he woke up with Annabeth sleeping right next to him in their hammock.
He sat up, careful not to wake his sleeping angel of a girlfriend.
He yawned loudly and got out of the hammock and walked over to the edge of the dock of his house on the water, and he sat down and put his feet in.
Percy Jackson, son of the god Poseidon, loved being near water, and in it too. And thank god there was water still in this world.
Percy Jackson has had his fill of stopping big Eldridge threats to the world, originating from the world of gods and Greek mythology.
First he battled against Kronos, twice actually. First when he possessed his former friend Luke and almost destroyed Olympus. And then again when Kronos' spirit which still lingered attempted to get another god from another universe or dimension to kill Percy, but the two of them teamed up and destroyed him for good.
And the most recent threat was stopping the rise of Gaea, the very Earth goddess herself, which he and all his friends, Annabeth and many new friends, destroyed for good.
Percy kept thinking or feeling that something was coming. That's what he always feared. It was always just natural. But right now, he just enjoyed the peace.
After all, soon it would time to start thinking about college. And he was praying that he would make it into New Rome University.
As he was thinking, a pair of hands wrapped around his waist and two feet dropped into the water behind him and he turned his head to see Annabeth, daughter of Athena, and her bedhead staring at him with lips begging for a good morning kiss.
He leaned over and kissed her.
"Good morning love," he said.
"Good morning Seaweed Brain," Annabeth said.
The two of them sat on the water edge and stared out at the horizon as the sun rose.
"Beautiful morning already," Annabeth said.
"Yeah..." Percy sighed.
"What's wrong?" Annabeth asked.
"I don't know," said Percy. "Maybe I'm just uncertain about the future. Or maybe I just feel like something bad is coming. Or some big new threat is going to appear out of the blue."
Annabeth stared at her boyfriend with worry.
"You didn't have any bad dreams did you?" she asked.
"No not at all," said Percy. "I don't know. Maybe it's just anxiety."
"I don't blame you," said Annabeth. "You destroyed Kronos, you had to escape a gray skinned angry god whom then you teamed up to kill Kronos again, and then we got separated from each other, then we fell into Tartarus, and then we fought the Earth itself..."
"Okay, okay! I get it!" Percy snapped with a chuckle. "We've been through a lot and nevertheless survived it. But yet, do demigods ever get a break to have some peace?"
"What do you call what's been happening lately?" asked Annabeth. "No threats, no angry gods or titans, and rarely any monster attacks. We have all the peace we could ever want."
"Yeah..." said Percy. "I just hope it stays that way."
Annabeth smiled and pulled Percy's head towards her again and pressed her lips against his. They began making out even more now.
This was making Percy feel a lot better, and he just decided to brush away all his bad thoughts and enjoy the peace they deserved.
As the sun rose higher, Percy and Annabeth left Percy's cabin and headed to breakfast.
When they arrived, dressed in their camp clothes like everyone else, and with Annabeth's bed head brushed and dealt with as best as she could, they saw their friends sitting and waiting for them, having saved seats for them.
Percy and Annabeth sat down next to Jason Grace, son of Zeus, and his girlfriend Piper McClean, daughter of Aphrodite. Sitting across from them was Frank Zhang, son of Mars, or Ares, and Hazel Levesque, daughter of Pluto, or Hades.
Frank and Hazel were campers from Camp-Half Blood's sister camp, Camp Jupiter. But lately they have been flip-flopping between camps, wanting to spend time with their old friends.
The only two friends not sitting with them right now were Leo Valdez, who was traveling the world with his girlfriend Calypso, and Grover, Percy's best friend, who was with the Sartrs.
The friends ate breakfast and began discussing what was in store for today. But then suddenly, a horn was blown, and it was the kind signaling an emergency meeting.
From in the distance came a herd of Centaurs, and being led by one of the camp heads, Chiron.
"Attention campers!" Chiron called. "We have an emergency! Thanatos calls for help, for the doors of deaths are being opened somehow again!"
Everyone gasped, while Percy's face turned into dread.
"There's goes my peace!" he said in his mind.
"They are not being opened entirely," said Chiron. "But something is causing many monsters in Tartarus to become so drawn to it that they are literally squeezing through the crevices of the door and escaping! The forces are overpowering Thanatos, who is in Tartarus trying to stop the monsters from escaping. We need to stop it or else the doors could fully open again!"
"I will go!" Percy said standing up immediately.
"So will I!" said Annabeth.
And Jason, Piper, Hazel, and Frank all stood up as well.
Chiron smiled.
"We can always count on the Heroes of Olympus," he said.
In no time sooner, everyone was armored up and now flying on Pegasi across the world to the very entrance to the Underworld itself.
With Hazel being the daughter of Hades, all she had to do was reach out to her father who as soon as they approached the location opened up a portal for them, which took them right to where the door was located.
And to their shock, Chiron was right.
The doors were literally being pushed and almost broken open, and monsters were squeezing their ways out of the crevices.
And they saw where the monsters were being drawn too. It was some kind of portal several feet away from the door itself.
It looks like a tear in space almost, and monster after monster was running to it and jumping through it, or limping or crawling or struggling to get to it, having been overwhelmed from trying to squeeze through the door, or even broken apart or lost body parts.
"We have to stop them!" Percy said.
"Hold on wait do we?" asked Frank. "Those monsters are only interested in that portal. Why don't we just let the doors open and send them all through it? No more monsters in this world!"
"Oh and just leave the world they're heading for to deal with them instead?" asked Piper. "No way!"
"Come on guys!" said Jason, drawing his weapon, Juno's Gladius. "Me, Percy, Annabeth, and Piper will stop the monsters! Frank, you use your war god strength, and Hazel, you use your powers of the Underworld's energy, to help Thanatos close the door!"
"I like it!" said Hazel.
Percy nodded and unclipped his pen, Riptide, which transformed into a sword.
"Everyone! Dive!" Percy yelled.
All of their Pegasi dove down and before they reached the ground, they all jumped off their mounts and charged towards their goals.
Percy stared for a second at the Doors of Death. He did not like being near them, not after what he and Annabeth went through after literally traveling through Hell itself.
Several monsters of many species were breaking free and heading for the portal. He charged at a Chimera and sliced the snake head off. The beast charged at him and he dodged it and climbed on it's back and cut off the goat head, and the beast fell weakened allowing him to cut the final head off and kill it.
Annabeth drew her Drakon bone sword and fought two Empousa who flew around her until she got them to charge into each other and impaled them both .
Jason turned his gladius into a Javelin and threw it right into the eye of a one eyed gorgon, preventing any stone glazes. The monster, now blinded, roared and slammed around looking for Jason, but he called his weapon back and sliced off the head of the blind beast.
A manticore charged at Piper, but she used her powers of persuasion and charm as the goddess of love's daughter to appease it, make it calm and obedient, and then she cut off the tail with her dagger, killing it.
"Whew," sighed Jason. "Thank gods these monsters aren't coming out in an army."
A loud screech was then heard and a herd of Furies, some with their arms or legs or even a wing cut off from squeezing through the doors, came charging.
The heroes sighed and charged at them.
Meanwhile Frank and Hazel were trying with all their strength to push the door closed.
They could hear Thanatos yelled and trying to shut them himself too.
"Dang!" said Frank. "Whatever is in that portal those monsters desperately want!"
"They must be being called by something or someone!" said Hazel. "Nevertheless, I wouldn't want to find out what's on the other side or where it leads too!"
"Maybe we should close that instead!" Frank suggested.
Hazel gasped.
"You're a genius!" she yelled. "Guys! Forget the monsters! Try to close the portal!"
The four friends heard her, and they all nodded.
They finished killing the Furies and then they walked to the portal.
"So how do we close this?" asked Piper.
"I've got an idea," said Percy. "Just do this!"
He stabbed the portal with Riptide, and it began to glow and spark.
Following suit, Annabeth, Jason, and Piper all stabbed the portal with their own weapons.
It began to spark brighter and slowly, the monsters began to push less against the door.
"I think it's working!" yelled Frank.
"Harder and deeper guys!" yelled Percy. "Stab it right into the roots!"
They stabbed and twisted their weapons with all their might. The portal flashed and again and again, and then finally, with one more big flash, and blast of energy was released from it.
Annabeth, Jason, and Piper were blown back, but Percy kept Riptide in. And slowly, the portal began to close and disappear.
The monsters stopped pushing against the doors of death, and eventually, they all stopped.
"Yes!" yelled Hazel.
"We did it!" yelled Jason.
Percy smiled as the portal was about to close in where Riptide was. However, as soon as he pulled on his sword, he found it was stuck.
No matter how hard he pulled, he couldn't get it out.
"Hey what is..." he began to say.
Suddenly, Percy felt a jolt of force pull on him, and he yelled out as Riptide was getting sucked into what remained of the portal, and with him on it. He couldn't let go of his sword.
"HELP! I'm getting pulled in!" he yelled.
"Percy no!" Annabeth yelled.
She charged and grabbed Percy's free hand, and Jason grabbed Annabeth's hand, and Piper grabbed Jason's.
They pulled with all their strength, and Frank and Hazel ran over to help.
But it was too late.
They weren't strong enough, and the portal immediately sucked in Riptide, and Percy was pulled inside with it, along with Annabeth, then Jason, and Piper disappeared last into the time portal.
Hazel and Frank gasped as they still kept running, but it was too late again.
The portal closed in on itself, and disappeared without a trace.
Frank and Hazel stood their with jaws dropped open.
"Did...did that just happen!?" Hazel gasped. "Tell me that didn't just happen!"
"They're gone," Frank gasped. "They're freaking gone!"
Percy Jackson, Annabeth Chase, Jason Grace, and Piper McClean, had disappeared off the face of this Earth, and had been dragged into the unknown.
They were gone.
I am back with another Percy Jackson and God of War crossover! Hopefully this one will be better than my last one because now I have played God of War and read all the Percy Jackson books (unfortunately except for Blood of Olympus but I know what happens). This takes place after the latter, and also after God of War Ragnarök.
So what will happen next? Where did Percy and his friends go to?
Stay tuned to find out!
See you next update! Review please!
