Lincoln stumbled away from Ronnie Ann; his heart raced.

Ronnie Ann flinched and her face fell. "I'm sorry. That's part of what I needed to explain."

Lincoln nodded sheepishly, " I'm sorry for...that".

They sat on the porch, and Ronnie Ann gave Lincoln her account of what happened after she ran away from him at the party.

Lincoln sat quietly listening to her story, and for that Ronnie Ann was grateful. She dropped several bombs and the details were gruesome at best...

When she was finished, the duo sat in silence. Lincoln shivered slightly from the chill in the air. Ronnie Ann felt oddly at peace.

Lincoln could think she was insane for all she cared.

Lincoln, however, surprised her by suggesting they speak with Lisa, the idea of the child prodigy seemed only natural.

The only issue now being, would Lisa believe such a story?

Lisa glared at Lincoln from across her desk. The soft glow of her table lamp cast an eerie glow, making the nine-year-old seem more hostile.

" Come on Lisa...please", Lincoln begged.

Ronnie Ann winced from the doorway, Lisa had not been as respective as they had originally hoped.

" Ridiculous, the concept of werewolves is merely fictitious make believe...honestly I expect something like this from Lucy, not you Lincoln", Lisa snorted.

Ronnie Ann felt the growl leave her mouth without thinking; Lincoln and Lisa both turned to look at her, and Lincoln put a hand on Ronnie Ann's shoulder.

Lisa shook her head and sighed, "Is there any evidence of this supposed rampage? Ronnie Ann went on? Or do you expect me to take your word for it?".

Lincoln fumbled for his phone and brought up the news. He was horrified to find several active reports on the city zoo, each with gruesome details and speculation about what had happened.

Ronnie scanned Lincoln's phone from over his shoulder and had to look away after a moment, vivid memories from the night tormented her.

Lincoln shoved the phone into Lisa's hands, and the scientist's expression changed instantly. Everyone crowded around Lisa as they watched the news.

Night slowly melted into day, and before they knew it, rays of light spilled past the blinds.

Lisa took her glasses off and rubbed her eyes, while Lincoln comforted Ronnie Ann. She stared at the older girl with some extra scrutiny, unsure about what Lincoln and Ronnie had divulged...but seeing the news sent a shiver down Lisa's spine nonetheless.

Ronnie Ann could be a serious danger to her family, and that was a risk that Lisa was not willing to take. She would keep a close eye on the older girl until she could start running tests and research.

Bobby made the four-hour drive to Royal Woods in record time. He probably broke several traffic rules, but nothing could stop him from retrieving his beloved Nini.

He called his mom soon after he got off the phone with Lori. The older woman was happy to know Ronnie Ann was safe but, like Bobby, she had a lot of questions for Ronnie Ann.

Hopefully the news will help his grandmother relax. Bobby is worried about his wayward sister, but halfway to Royal Woods, the radio station cuts out, so he switches to the news.

News of an apparent break-in and mass slaughter of most of the City Zoo's large animal attractions had made Bobby's hair stand on end.

Just knowing that Ronnie Ann had been on her own when something so terrible was happening made Bobby worry all over again.

What kind of a big brother was he?
