Anakin chased after Ahsoka as she made her way out of the temple. Emotions flaring up once again, as the night his mother died. Fear, hate, anger, the feeling of being desperate, flowed through him. "Ahsoka wait!" he yelled, "Ahsoka I need to talk to you!"

She stopped, turning around to look at the ground rather than him. This made his heart crumble even more.

"Why are you doing this?" he asked, as if everything depended on it. Which seemed like it did.

She finally looked up into his eyes, "The council didn't trust me. So how can I trust myself?" She looked away as she finished the sentence. Hiding the obvious pain in her eyes.

"What about me?" Anakin asked solemnly, "I believed in you, I stood by you!" his voice began to rise with frustration and anger. Everything felt like it was about to burst-

Snapping his eyes open, Anakin sat up in his bed, drenched in sweat, and filled with anger and sadness. Realization kicked in. 3 months. 3 exhausting, lonely months have passed since the day Ahsoka left the order. Since she left Anakin. He got up, sitting quietly on the edge of the bed, staring into space for what seemed like hours. Rethinking all the horrible things that have happened in just the past 3 months. He remembered losing a part of himself as Ahsoka walked away. A part of Anakin, that seemed much more gentle and forgiving. A part of Anakin that made him, HIM. As this part of him left, a darker presence filled in to take its place. One that has given him greater strength in the force and the battlefield. Yet, it often felt unfamiliar. Sometimes he wasn't even sure if it was him controlling the actions he did. Still he accepted it. Hoping that it would give him the power he needed to make sure what happened to Ahsoka would never happen again.

Ever since Ahsoka left, Anakin has had a harder time seeing eye to eye with the other members of the council. After all the pain and suffering they caused Ahsoka, which evidently made her leave, it's made him lose faith in the council and almost all of their decisions. The only ones that have shared somewhat of his sympathy and logic were Masters Plo Koon and Obi-wan. Yet Obi-wan would continue to tell him, "Anakin don't let your emotions cloud your judgments." Which at times still made it seem like Obi-wan was against him.

Of course Anakin knew this, but he still couldn't help it at times. Some things are just too painful to let go. Especially if it was a person that had been by your side nearly everyday for years.

Anakin went on to remember the events that happened later that day after Ahsoka left. It seemed all of him was weighted with sadness as he sat in his living quarters. Other than him, it was empty and quiet. Ahsoka stayed in the same quarters as him due to her being his padawan, but now that was no longer a thing, all the joy and enthusiasm that filled the room with her was gone. Thinking to himself, Anakin sparked an idea. "Padme! She'll hear me out. Out of all people she'll understand and listen." He needed to let out all the pent up emotions he'd been holding back most of the day. He got up to leave for her place that she owned here on Coruscant.

Arriving at the platform of her house, Anakin walked in with no remarks or greeting from 3PO. Everything seemed unusually quiet. As he made his way further in the house he heard Padme giggling. A smile swept across his face, wondering why she would be giggling. Did she know he was here? Making his way further into the house, he could hear her laughs get louder. However, she wasn't alone. A male's baritone laugh synchronized with hers. Anakin ran towards where the laughter was coming from. Stopping in the doorway of her bedroom, he saw Padme, her body laying on top of a man as they kissed. Lips against lips.

"Ahhh!" the man gasped as he saw what, or maybe who, was standing at the doorway. Anakin instantly recognized his ugly face. Rush Clovis.

Anakin looked from him to Padme. Shock and worry held within her eyes. "Ani," she gasped, "I wasn't expecting you. You never contacted me telling me you were going to come over. I...I.."

Anakin raised his hand up not needing an explanation. Understanding this is what he had felt the last few times he had visited her. He knew something had been out of place. As if their relationship was strained and going down hill before this. The last few times he visited with her, she always seemed tense and disturbed, but he couldn't recognize it before. Or maybe he did, but just chose to ignore it. But what was in was in front of him, he couldn't ignore, and was obvious to the eye.

"How long has this been going on!" Anakin demanded.

"Ani," she said in a soft voice, trying to calm the situation and dodging the question "you were always out on missions. For who knows how long. Days, even weeks would go by. I rarely got to see you, let alone talk to you. It got lonely at times, going so long without you."

What hurt Anakin the most was the fact that she wasn't even denying that she was having an affair with Clovis. She wasn't even trying to support the ever so small hope he had in the back of his head anticipating that this was just a big misunderstanding. But it wasn't. Anakin began to feel himself fill with anger. He reached out with the force, grabbing Clovis' neck, choking him. Anakin was filled with rage. He wanted to kill him. He could kill him. Clovis' life was in Anakin's grasp, and could end in a second. Anakin continued to squeeze, feeling the life dwindle from Clovis' pathetic body.

All of a sudden, a wave of sadness came over Anakin. He let go. Clovis dropped on the bed gasping for air, as Padme came to his aid. The sight disgusted Anakin. It made him want to destroy and throw everything that was nearby. But he resisted the temptation. One thing stopped him from doing all the horrible and horrific things he thought about doing. The utter sadness of the day's occurrence; Ahsoka's leaving of the order. The exact reason he came here in the first place. As he watched them, Anakin understood Padme had moved on to another man. One that would always be by her side, as he should be with Ahsoka.

"Anakin, I'm so sorry you had to see this. I was going to tell you… eventually." Padme said looking down.

Anakin walked up to her. She looked at him with a face of fear as if he was going to cut her down right then and there. He stopped in front of her, reaching into a pouch on his tunic's belt. He pulled out the ring that was given to him at their wedding. Memories of a time that no longer mattered. "I'll fill out our divorce paperwork. They'll be dropped off by the end of the week." Anakin finished bluntly, walking away. Leaving Padme with her new found love.
