A/N: For those wondering, this was originally posted as a new story but I thought to add it here instead as a continuation instead of a sequel. As a result the Epilogue has also slightly changed to better suit the flow of the story.

Four Years; that is how long it had taken after the war for Queen Nasuada to consolidate her power in Alagaësia, incidentally that was also how long it had taken Murtagh to be forgiven for his war crimes, in a Ceremony now known as Death By Banishment.

Where in the Elves exacted their punishment by symbolically banishing his and Thorn's names, similar to what the dragons had done to the dragons of the Forsworn, he and Thorn had then been buried thirteen feet deep, After the Ceremony was over he and Thorn rose from their graves and took on new names. Murtagh had taken on the name Tornaq and Thorn had taken on the name Helios.

It was quite elaborate and had taken almost a year to negotiate and organize with the two races, as a sign of respect to the two races Orrin had given up his rights to prosecute him in exchange for all Dragons bound for humans to start their journey from his domain to allow his citizens first chance at becoming riders. Nasuada however lost the most politically as both the Dwarves argued and the Elves agreed that it was not seemly for The Lord rider to be a Vassal of a Human queen. Although reluctant at first, she soon agreed that at times like these Appearances did matter.

. Therefore with a heavy heart she dismissed him as her vassal, however as a reward for exemplary service. She gifted him reign over Mount Arngor and the Surrounding Eastern Mountains. Eragon immediately agreed and as Lord Rider extended the hand of Friendship towards Nasuada, thus marking them as equals. Although disgruntled Nasuada's detractors were forced into silence as their conditions had technically been met.

These were the thoughts of the red rider as he discharged his duties of Ferrying Dragon eggs to their potential new riders, although he had to split his time training with Arya and the Elves, helping Nasuada ferreting out spies, and being an Ambassador to the Urgals.

Even now Thorn was in Ellesméra, helping Arya and the Eldunari while he was here ferrying eggs. He didn't like it but it was the final part of his education and he understood why it was required. Indeed it was a process that Arya to would imitate after he had finish his studies, as they switched.

After that Eragon and Glaedr had taken over most of the negotiations and it had been a beast of a negotiation with the the dwarves, While Umaroth convinced the Elves who after a few token protests agreed as long as the Eldunari help the Elves beget more children and increased knowledge sharing opportunities.

Meanwhile Glaedr agreed to stay back in Tronjheim as an Advisor to the Dwarves on how best to create a favorable environment for the new riders. Not to mention the Dwarves had asked for multiple eggs initially wanting 13 eggs one for each clan, in addition to Saphira's first born. However Glaedr had flatly refused and after much Hbemming and Hawing they agreed to Four Dragon eggs and to be the first race to be offered Dragon eggs for two complete race cycles.

Saphira had also promised that when she would lay eggs he Elves and Dwarves would have the first chance to become their riders. However she did not specify when exactly she would lay eggs. After all negotiations were complete Glaedr in his typical dragon way, threatened the thirteen clans that he was not as forgiving as Eragon when it came to attempts to harm him or the new riders. And that if any such event ever did take place, each and every member of the offending clans, including women and children would be killed without a second thought.

He then punctuated his point by using his mental Capacity to simultaneously take control of all thirteen clan chiefs including Orik and send a very focused, yet mild attack on their minds. Needless to say the clan chiefs were eager to swear oaths in the Ancient language to him and Eragon assuring they would never directly or indirectly knowingly bring harm to the new dragons or their riders.

Arya and the Eldunari had decided that a maximum of 15 students at a time would be ideal, however only ten riders would be taught for now, in order to ensure each rider was given the proper attention. Therefore the first ten eggs had been dispatched and hatched for their Riders. There were nine new riders as of this moment. Four Dwarven Riders, Three Elven Riders and Two Urgal riders, and After having traversing the whole of King Orrin's kingdom in search for a Human rider without any success much to his disappointment, thus they had arrived in Ceunon one of the last major cities in Nasuada's domain.

It had been an extremely frustrating trip, the dragon within had not yet chosen any human rider so far despite being offered many options. If this continued they would have to ferry the egg to Tronjheim, it was a trip he wasn't looking forward to.

Those were his thoughts when he was interrupted by one of the Elves "That is the last human child in both Nasuada and Orrin's domain and yet the dragon has not yet chosen a human rider. Let us be off then to Tronjheim."

Murtagh frowned "are we sure about that, let me see that list." After the first few months they had streamlined the process and had written down every child's name that had touched the egg. He quickly scanned the page before exclaiming "there is one child missing in this list."

"How can you be sure?" I am sure because Essie's name is not here on the list."

A/N: Well now isn't this interesting, How does Essie factor into all this? Read on and Find out.
