Ethan came over to the townhouse as Robert was finishing his call. Robert had reached out to Chase, figuring he would be able to hopefully speak to his mother. He made it clear it was his decision.

"I've got someone that's going to work on Jackie. Can you tell me exactly what was going on in those pictures?" Robert asked Ethan.

"Yeah, Kristina had a rough year. She had a lot of loss. I was being a good friend." Ethan had absolutely nothing to hide.

"That's what I thought. I know you two have been friends for ages. Just know we believe in you." Holly told her son as she gave him a hug.

Jayne and Annie walked in the front door. "So do we." Annie backed up Holly.

"Thank you." Ethan was happy that four of the people he trusted most believed in him. Annie went over and gave him a hug.

Jackie's Office

Chase walked in and looked at his mother with disgust. "You are unbelievable."

Jackie looked up at her son and sighed. "Good to see you too."

"Why are you trying to hurt Robert and Holly?" Chase asked his mother.

"Ever think it's not about them. Remember who turned your life upside down just last year, then found another toy." Jackie reminded her son of the events she saw.

"Don't put this on Jayne. You've had it out for her since she came to town. Robert chose Holly forty plus years ago. It's time to get over it." Chase had had enough of his mother.

"Unbelievable. You still have feelings for her. She's off with Joe Kelly's son, and you are riding in to save her. Why?" Jackie asked him.

"Because she is my friend and a good person. Ethan is, too. If you keep smearing them, you are going to lose me."

The door swung open and there stood a very angry woman. "You know of all the low thing you could do Jackie Templeton, this is the lowest!"
