Queen Sofia

"Are you still mad at me, dear husband?" I asked, smirking at my husband as he rolled his eyes.

We were getting ready for bed, and he was ignoring me sightly for my comment about Elizabeth.

She is his princess and has difficulty discussing her future involving boys. I was brushing my hair, and he was buttoning on his shirt. He was done taking a bath.

I placed my brush down, walked up to him, and hugged him from behind as he took a deep breath.

He put his hands on mine as I stood on my tip toes before kissing him on his neck as he began to relax.

"Hmm, are you still mad at me?" I asked as he turned around and sighed before smiling at me.

I continued to kiss his cheek and neck before landing on his lips. He deepened the kiss as I raised my hands and placed them around his neck.

I slowly pulled away and pressed my forehead against his before smiling and slowly looking into his green eyes.

"No, I'm not," he said as I smiled.

"Entonces?"(Then) I asked him as he smiled at me.

"Ty budesh' moyey smert'yu" (You're going to be the death of me) he said, smiling and putting a hair strand behind my ear as I smirked.

"tol'ko dlya tebya, moy dorogoy muzh"(Only for you, my dear husband) I said, smirking at him as his eyes widened.

"How did you?"He started confused as I smiled at him before biting my lip.

"I have been your queen for 20 years, my dear husband. My husband and children speak the language. Don't you think I would have learned the language by now?"I said as he chuckled.

"You're full of surprises, you know that,"he said as I giggled.

"You had the same face the children did when I scolded them for trying to be sneaky,"I said as he raised his eyebrow.

"Oh really?"He asked, raising his eyebrow as I nodded.

"The children thought I couldn't understand them and decided to speak only this language until I caught them,"I said as he smirked.

"Do they really know it, though? I haven't heard them speak it in a long time,"he said as I smiled.

"That was because of me,"I said, smiling as he raised his eyebrow, confused.

"Do tell me, what exactly were our bundles of joy thinking of doing?"He asked me as I giggled.

"The boys were trying to pull a prank on you while Elizabeth tried telling them to stop,"I said as his eyes widened.

"I quickly responded and scolded them for it, and after they realized I, too, spoke the language, they stopped speaking it,"I said as he shook his head and chuckled.

"I guess I have to thank you for that, my dear, and our daughter as well,"he said, thinking back to Liz again.

"I know you still see her as your little girl, but you have to think of the possibility that this will happen sooner than you think,"I said as he rolled his eyes.

"I know, I know. It's just very hard for me, and you teasing me about it doesn't help,"he said, raising his eyebrow as I smiled.

"I am sorry, darling,"I said as he raised his eyebrow at me.

"I may have to teach you some manners,"he said as I raised my eyebrow and smirked at him. He took hold of my waist, making me giggle.

"What time of manners are we talking about?"I asked as he smirked.

"Those that require a closed door,"he said as I smirked before giggling.

"But first, do tell me when you started learning the language,"he said, leading me to the bed.

"Ooo, that's not a good memory to remember, if I'm being honest,"I said as he sat me down.

"Why not?"He asked as he began to kiss my neck and slide down to my shoulders.

"It was a sad moment for us; it was when we spent time apart as newlyweds, remember?"I said as he nodded.

"Oh yeah, pure torture,"he said as I nodded, and he pulled the shoulder straps to the side before kissing my shoulders.

"I didn't master it fully until Elizabeth was 7,"I giggled.

"Until our children decided to do the prank,"he said as I nodded.

It was then I turned around as his lips claimed mine before we lay in bed as he continued to deepen the kiss.

I took off his shirt and started to move toward his pants as he began trailing kisses to my neck, making me arch slightly toward him.

Every kiss he left felt intoxicating and like an electric shock that brought my body to life and excitement. I placed my hands on his back and pulled him closer as my nails pressed toward his back.

It was then I was able to remove his pants, leaving him only in his undergarment as he started removing mine.

Soon enough, we were both under the covers withoutanyclothing, our hands brushing every inch of our bodies.

"YA tebya lyublyu,"He said as I smiled.

"YA tozhe tebya lyublyu,"I said as we continued with our passionate kiss.

King Hugo

I woke up to someone knocking on the door. I groaned before getting up from bed, putting on my robe, and heading towards the door.

I opened the door, and it revealed to be Isaac, who seemed to be slightly alerted.

"What is it, Isaac?"I asked him, confused as he handed me a letter.

"This just arrived with urgency from Enchancia,"he said as I looked at the letter, a bit confused.

It didn't have the Royal seal, which meant only one thing: It was indeed from Enchancia, but it was from the village, meaning it was Lucinda.

Since I saw it was addressed to both Sofia and me, I quickly opened it and began reading what Lucinda had written.

Dear Hugo and Sofia,

I am sending you this letter urgently because my cousin wrote to me to tell me she is going to be meeting me sooner than expected.

She is set to meet me tomorrow, December 11th, around noon, in case you guys still want to talk with her.

I will be waiting for either your response or your guys' here.I will do my best to keep her here for as long asI can.

Best wishes, Lucinda.

'December 11th, that's today!'I exclaimed as I looked up to see Isaac waiting for an answer.

"Get the flying carriage ready, Issac. We're going to Enchancia,"I said as he nodded.

"Yes, Your Majesty,"he said before I quickly stopped him.

"Have my Father meet us outside and tell the kids we had an early meeting, nothing else,"I said as Isaac nodded, understanding what I meant.

"Of course, your majesties,"he said as he quickly left. I closed the door and turned to see a familiar pair of blue eyes looking at me.

Then I realized Sofia was already up and standing behind me the entire time.

"What's the news?"She asked as I handed her the letter, and she read it.

"It seems like we have a trip to get to,"I said, nodding. She followed me as we quickly changed.

I quickly put on a long white shirt, a black and red coat, black pants, and matching boots.

I was about to call on Sof when she came out in a beautiful golden-yellow, off-the-shoulder, long-sleeved gown. I raised my eyebrow as she quickly put on her matching tiara.

"Sof, aren't you going to be cold?"I asked her as she smiled before walking up to me.

"Darling, you forget we live in the second coldest kingdom.I'mkind ofused to the cold by now,"she said, smiling as I chuckled.

"Alright, just let me know if you get cold, darling,"I said, smirking at her as she rolled her eyes. We exited our room.

It was still early in the morning, so we decided to have a quick fruit breakfast before leaving since we had enough time.

However, if I was being honest, I had a hard time eating; I was too nervous about today's encounter to eat.

"It will be alright, darling," said Sofia, smiling as I sighed.

"I do hope you are right, Sof. This depends on whether I am arrested or set free," I said as she smiled slightly.

I knew this was hard on her, too, but Sofia always put on a strong face, and that was one of the things I admired about her.

No matter how hard the situation may get, my wife was always strong. She was always there supporting us like the true queen she is.

"Eat something, Hugo, before I feed you myself," said Sofia sternly as I chuckled slightly.

"What if I want you to feed me?" I asked as she raised her eyebrow and gave me a stern face as I chuckled.

"I'm going, I'm going," I said, taking a bite of my food as she smiled.

"That's what I thought," she said, smiling as we continued to eat our breakfast.

As soon as we finished breakfast, we were about to leave the room when a familiar faceshowed up.

"Dad,"I said as he smiled.

"I was just about to come find you two. Good news, I hope?"said Dad, smiling as we nodded.

"Lucinda answered. She says her cousin is going to see her today at noon,"said Sofia as I nodded, and Dad smiled with joy.

"Excellent news,"he said as we nodded.

"Is it just you two that are going?" he asked as we nodded.

"For the moment, since I'm the only one on trial," I said as he smirked and nodded.

"For the moment, don't tell the children yet,"I said as Dad looked at me confused.

"Why not?" he asked confused.

"We need to make sure we don't spook this witness,"I said as he nodded.

"And knowing them, they are going to want to come as well, and I don't think that's a good idea," said Sofia as I nodded.

"I told Isaac to say we had an early meeting,"I said as he nodded.

"With whom?"Asked Dad as we thought for a moment.

"The kingdom of Corinthia,"added Sofia as I nodded.

"Alright, I wish you all good luck,"he said, smiling as we nodded.

"Thanks, Dad,"I said as we quickly left the dining hall, collected our coats, and headed to the carriage.

During the carriage ride, I couldn't help but think of what was about to happen. This meeting with Lady Malorie was important.

It would finally determine my innocence to everyone, and they would leave me alone with my family.

However, it could also get tricky. If I can't convince her to talk to the judge for me, this could fail.

"Don'tworry. We'll get her support and have this mess straightened out,"said Sofia, smiling as I smiled at her.

"You don't know that, Sof,"I said as she smiled andtook hold ofmy hand.

"But I do, especially because I have one thing in common with Lady Malorie,"she said as I looked at her, confused.

"And that is?"I asked her, confused as she smiled at me.

"I, too, had my husband disappear for months, years even,"she said, bringing a hand to my face as I smiled.

"I know how she feels, and I'm pretty sure you do too, with my disappearance,"she said as I nodded.

"We just need to talk to her from the heart, and that's how she'll listen to us,"she said as I sighed and nodded.

"Alright, I just hope you're right,"I said as she smiled and nodded.

"Konechno, ya moya lyubov'"(of course I am my love). She said as I smiled and planted a kiss on her cheek.

Once the carriage stopped, we knew we had arrived. The door opened, and I stepped out before offering my hand to Sofia.

As she exited the carriage, we looked at the beautifulsmallhousethat looked likea mini castle.

"Station the carriage somewhere that won't easily be seen,"I said as the coachman nodded.

"Try the palace and hand this to the queen,"said Sofia as she handed him an envelope; he nodded before leaving.

"I knew we would have some difficulty, so I wrote Amber a letter telling her what we were going to do today,"she said as I nodded.

We went to the door and knocked before waiting a few seconds. The door opened to reveal a familiar person.

"Sofia, Hugo. Come in, guys, quickly,"said Lucinda as we entered her house quickly beforegiving her a hug.

"How are you, Lucinda?"Asked Sofia, parting from the hug.

"Good, and you guys?"She asked, smiling.

"Better than can be,"I said as she nodded before we shared a hug.

"Don'tworry, Hugo. After today, it will be better,"added Lucinda as I smiled at her.

"Thank you for everything you are doing, Lucinda,"I said, parting from the hug as she smiled.

"What are friends for, right?"She said as we nodded.

"Besides, I believe, like you guys, I don't think my cousin is capable of this,"added Lucinda as we nodded.

"Remind me again, she's your cousin?"Asked Sofia as Lucinda nodded.

"Yes, to be exact, she's my distant cousin. Our Mothers are cousins,"she added as I nodded.

"So, in other words, she too is magical?"I asked as she slightly nodded.

"Although she gave up the magic years ago when she met her husband, Ben, she still knows her way around it,"she added as we nodded.

"How were you able to convince her to come?"Asked Sofia as she smiled nervously.

"I wouldn't say I convinced her; I kind of forced her,"she added as our eyes widened.

"Lucinda!"Exclaimed both Sofia and I worried.

"Relax. She doesn't know you guys will be here, but it was indeed needed since I do need her help with something," said Lucinda as Sofia and I looked confused.

"With?"Asked Sofia as Lucinda smiled.

"Memory spell,"she said as our eyes widened.

"Why? Isn't that dangerous?"I asked as she moved her hands as if she was a scale.

"Kind of. What I am trying to do is create a spell that will help people remember certain events in their lives,"she said as I frowned, confused.

"Why?"I asked, confused.

"Isn't there a potion for that?"Asked Sofia as Lucinda nodded.

"There is, but with everything going on, I wouldn't trust potions right now,"she said as Sofia and I were confused.

"Any particular reason why?"Asked Sofia, confused as I thought momentarily.

"We have a lot of people who can't seem to remember their past, and without realizing it, it causes them trouble in the present time,"she said.

"You think that by curing their past, they'll be able to function in their present time?" I added as she nodded.

"It's a new spell the council is trying to create since we have many people who have past traumas,"she added as we nodded.

"What if this ends badly?"I asked, remembering what happened the last time the council tried playing with the human mind.

"It's a trial, and it's only being used on witches and sorcerers,"she said as we nodded and I looked around.

We were sitting in her living room, and It looked very cozy, with hints of magic everywhere.

The dishes were being washed, the floor was being swept and mopped, and the kitchen was cooking alone.

"Interesting place you have here,"I said as she smiled.

"Thanks; we have to study lots of spells and test them out, so we do it on the kitchen supplies,"she said as we nodded.

"How's the cooking though?"I asked as she slightly nodded.

"Not bad, but it could be better,"Said Lucinda as we nodded.

"It's better than having Amber in the kitchen,"I said as we all laughed, and Sofia slightly hit me.

"Be nice, Hugo,"said Sofia as she slightly giggled.

Suddenly, a knock at the door made us all turn. We turned to Lucinda, and she nodded her head.

"On the hallway,"she said, pointing to the one with closed curtains as Sofia and I went there.

The door opened, and in an instant, we heard Lucinda's and two unfamiliar voices.

"Cousin Malorie, come on in, and you brought my Nephew Hayden,"said Lucinda as my eyes and Sofia's widened.

We would already have trouble talking to her, and now we must also speak to his son.

"I am glad you are here, cousin because I need your help with something,"said Lucinda as their steps grew closer.

It was then that we knew, within seconds, they were outside the curtain in the living room, where we had just been a few minutes earlier.

"With?"She asked, a bit upset.

"Firstly, I do want to say I am so sorry about what happened to your husband,"she said as we heard Lady Malorie sigh.

"Thank you, cousin,"she said.

"How are you holding up?"Asked Lucinda as we just heard her.

"Not well, I had to take a step back. My son Hayden is in charge of what is going on for the most part,"she said.

"He's been trying his best to look for his Father, yet we haven't been able to find him,"she added as wecontinued to listen.

"Do you have any idea who's behind this?"Asked Lucinda as Lady Malorie stayed silent.

"I have no idea, but they are accusing King Hugo of this, although it is a bit odd,"she said as I looked at Sofia.

"At least you have an army that will help you,"added Lucinda.

"W- What are you talking about?"Asked Lady Malorie, sounding confused.

"I thought King Lyvot was helping you?"Asked Lucinda as we heard Lady Malorie slightly chuckled.

"He'snot helping me,"she said as I looked at Sofia; she nodded, and we decided it was time to step out.

"Then why attack Whelsire?"I asked as Lucinda and Malorie looked at me confused before her eyes widened.

She quickly turned to Lucinda and then at us again before shaking her, not believing this.

"Really? Did you invite the enemy over? They toyed away with my husband, and now you want them to get rid of me? You're a real cousin, Lucinda!"Exclaimed Lady Malorie.

"Malorie, listen to me,"started Lucinda as Lady Malorie shook her head.

"No, go to hell! Hayden, let's go,"she said, begging to walk as her son stopped her.

"Lady Malorie, please wait! We mean no harm. I just want to talk to you," I said as she laughed.

"Yeah, I've heard that one before. That's probably what you told my husband to get him to fall for your trap, but it's not going to work on me," she said, turning around.

"And to think I thought you were my cousin; I see you chose your friend first," said Malorie as Lucinda shook her head.

"Listen to them; you may even be surprised by what they have to say," said Lucinda as Lady Malorie shook her head.

"No, come one, Hayden," said Lady Malorie as she began to walk away with her son still in place.

"Hayden?" she said as he continued to look at Sofia and me before shaking his head.

"No,"he said, looking at Sofia and me.

"No? Hayden, they kidnapped your Father and might do the same to us if we don't leave now,"she said as her son shook her head.

"If they wanted to, they would have attacked us long ago. Mom, they have the military to do so. Yet they came as civilians to talk, not as a high power king and queen,"said Hayden.

I admired this boy. He was doing exactly what needed to be done, thinking clearly and calming his Mother simultaneously, and here I thought he would be the challenge.

"Let'slisten to them; we have nothing to lose,"he said as Lady Malone thought momentarily.

"We just want to know why you are accusing my Husband, Lady Malorie. We're not here to harm you,"said Sofia as I nodded.

"We just want answers, as do you,"I added as Lucinda nodded.

"Listen to them, Malorie. You even said it yourself: There is something odd about your husband's disappearance," added Lucinda as she nodded.

"Fine,"she said as they took their seats, and we followed to sit in front of them.

"Lady Malorie, I want to start by clarifying that I did not, nor would I ever kidnap your husband,"I started as she raised her eyebrow.

"Lady Malorie, I know your pain…"started Sofia as Lady Malorie cut her off.

"You know nothing of my pain,"she said, upset, tears falling down her face as Sofia smiled slightly at her.

"But I do. I'm not sure how aware you are of royal family life. But 20 years ago, my husband was lost for years,"Sofia started as Hayden nodded.

"I remember learning about that. You risked your own life, my queen, to find your husband and lead an expedition," said Hayden as Sofia nodded.

"You know our story well?" I asked as the boy nodded.

"Who wouldn't? It was a great tale that spread across the land. Princess Sofia of Enchancia started an expedition to find her now-husband. It's still a very popular tale," said the boy as we smiled.

"We stayed months apart, why would I want to cause someone that same harm my wife and I had?"I asked as she thought for a moment.

"Everyone blames King Hugo, but is itreallyhim Mom?"Asked Hayden as she thought.

"Lady Malorie, I don't even know your husband. I never had contact with him, and to this day, this is the first time I am having a real conversation with you," I said.

"Did my Father come and see you his last day before disappearing?" Asked Hayden as I shook my head.

"No, never. Why would he come to meet me? We don't have any business together,"I said as Hayden nodded.

"Who told you It was me?"I asked as Lady Malorie looked up and wiped her tears.

"King Lyvot said my husband went to see you and told him so. At first, I didn't believe him because, like you said, we don't have deals with you,"said Lady Malorie.

"But apparently, my Husband wanted to make a proposition with you after you agreed at the last ball reunion," she added as I shook my head.

"I'm sorry, Lady Malorie, but I didn't even cross paths with him. I was either with my wife or another duke," I said as she nodded.

"I know because I was next to my husband, but he is also very stubborn and believes in all agreements," she said as I nodded.

"As do I, but I don't kidnap people," I said as she raised her eyebrow at me.

"I do have one question for you, lady Malorie," I said as she looked at me confused.

"What is it?" she asked, a bit upset as I sighed.

"Just like how you think I did this without asking me first, I do need to ask you something," I said as she raised her eyebrow.

"Did you order an attack on Whelsire?"Asked Sofia as Lady Malorie's eyes widened.

"What? No! Of course not!" she said, surprised I would even ask that, and stood up.

"I would never attack a kingdom without serious cause," she said as Lucinda raised her eyebrow.

"You blame King Hugo about this, and that seems like a serious cause to me," said Lucinda as she shook her head.

"As soon as I heard about my husband's disappearance, I have been searching for him non-stop," she said as we listened.

"I took charge of the land and began the search for my Father. We asked King Lyvot for help, but not this type,"said Hayden as we listened.

"The bastard didn't even help,"said Lady Malorie as I looked at her confused.

"What do you mean?"I asked as she chuckled, slightly annoyed.

"When I asked him for help, all he said was, 'It's all taken care of; I will handle it from there,'"said Lady Malorie as Sofia and I looked worried.

"Have you talked to him ever since?"Asked Sofia as she shook her head.

"No, I went out of sight, and I didn't know what was going on—until last night, when news reached about all of this," she said as we nodded.

"I put two and two together. Why would Lyvot attack you unless he believed it was you?" said Lady Malorie as we nodded.

"But it wasn't them,"said Lucinda.

"Lady Malorie, this next part is important. Did you or Hayden give the signal to attack Whelsire?"I asked as they shook their heads.

"It wasn't us. We never made that order. We don't believe in that kind of thing. We believe in the law of justice,"said Hayden as we nodded.

"Why do you ask?"Asked Lady Malorie.

"The guards attacking us were red and black, while the flag's colors were red, yellow, and purple,"I said as her eyes widened.

"It wasn't us, and let me tell you why. When I asked Lyvot for soldiers, he said they were busy with another project he had in mind. Ours are yellow,"she said as my eyes widened.

There was no doubt in my mind anymore that this was all Lyvot. He was planning to destroy me and was using Lady Malorie and her son.

"Don't you see what he was doing, Mom? " Hayden asked, upset, as Malorie listened to him.

"King Lyvot was setting us up; he was using our Flag and Father's disappearance to blame us for starting a war with Whelsire," said Hayden, upset.

It was then I could finally see Lady Malorie calming down and realizing what her son was trying to tell her.

"We want to help you find your husband. Is there anything you could think of that could help us find him?"I asked as she thought.

"I'msorry. The only thing I can think of are his friends, but they couldn't,"said Lady Malorie as Hayden shook his head.

"Mom, they're not good people. Heck, they tried to frame us and have screwed Dad over plenty of times,"said Hayden.

"Hence, I have been telling you and Dad to retreat from them. They are a lost cause, and you should separate from them," said Hayden as I raised my eyebrow.

"Wait, who?"I asked as he sighed.

"King Lyvot, and Ricardo, my Dad considered them his friends but realized they weren't after they tried screwing him over,"he said as my eyes widened.

"How?"I asked as he sighed.

"For one, Ricardo always changes his mind; he's never certain about anything unless it benefits him only,"said Hayden as I listened.

"Meaning?"Asked Sofia as I took hold of her hand before looking at Hayden.

"Rosalie,"I said as Hayden nodded, and Sofia looked confused.

"Who's Rosalie?"Asked Lucinda, confused.

"My son's fiancée,"I said as Lucinda's eyes widened.

"My Dad offered Ricardo, and he said we would think about it but just bounce her awhile before settling with King Lyvot's son,"said Hayden.

"Why they broke it off?"I asked as Hayden shrugged.

"Benefits, he saw your son looking for a bride and tried to gain benefit again. He's not the one to trust Hugo; I certainly do not trust him,"said Hayden as I nodded.

"I agree, Rosalie. She wasn't in the best condition when she came to us,"I said as Hayden nodded, upset.

"She didn't deserve it, but I'm glad she's better now with you guys. We grew up together, and I wouldn't want to see her hurt,"said Hayden as I nodded.

"You have my word, she's perfectly safe,"I said as Hayden smiled.

"Based on the conclusions, I would say it is King Lyvot or King Ricardo,"said Lucinda as we nodded.

"But again, why would they? What motive would they have?"Asked Lady Malorie as I nodded.

"Besides, they are considered friends, so I doubt they'll see the connection right away,"I said as they nodded.

"But it has to be them, those bastards. They're the ones who probably have my husband,"she said as we nodded.

"Lady Malorie, we have a favor to ask you,"I said as she looked at me and nodded before I finished.

"Yes, I will speak to the court about this,"she said, and my eyes widened, surprised, as I smiled.

"Really?" Asked her as she smiled slightly and nodded.

"Yes, after all of this, I don't think it was you who hurt my husband; you have no motive,"she said as I nodded.

"This will be my way of apologizing, and I hope you can forgive me,"she said as I smiled.

"Of course, Lady Malorie,"I said as she smiled.

"We understand the situation 100%," said Sofia as Lady Malorie smiled.

"We promise to help you and find your husband,"I said as she smiled and nodded.

"Thank you so much. I appreciate this," said Lady Malorie as we nodded.

"We mustn't tell anyone we met, though. I don't trust the other kings and don't want them to do something to myMother, especially since we know what is really going on,"said Hayden as I nodded.

"I agree; you must say low for a while,"I said as she nodded.

"I can help with that,"said Lucinda as we turned to see her smiling.

"They can stay here with me; no one knows where I live, and we will be very well protected here,"said Lucinda.

"Sounds good to me,"said Lady Malorie as we nodded.

"We are to reset the trial, a few days after Wassalia Day,"I said as she nodded.

"I will make sure I am ready,"she said as we nodded.

"You guys better leave before we have an unexpected guest," said Lucinda as we nodded.

"One never knows. Need to be extra careful these days," said Lucinda as we nodded.

"It was a pleasure meeting you, Lady Malorie,"said Sofia, smiling.

"Likewise, Your Majesty, and sorry for the circumstances,"she added as we smiled.

"Us too,"we said before we slightly chucked before we bid our goodbye and left.

"Take care of them,"I told Lucinda as she smiled and nodded.

"Don't worry, they'll be fine here,"she said as we nodded.

"Thank you again for everything, Lucinda,"said Sofia, smiling.

"Thanks a lot,"I added as she smiled.

"Of course, guys. That's what friends are for, right?"She said as we nodded andgave her a hugbefore leaving her house.

Once the door opened and we walked out, we noticed our carriage was outside as we looked at her confused.

"Called your ride,"she said as we chuckled.

"Thank you,"I said as she smiled.

"Take care,"she said as we entered the carriage andheaded backto Whelsire.

"See, I told you everything would turn out terrific. We spoke to her, and now she's on our side," Sofia said as I nodded.

"Let's just hope they will be hidden well, especially since we now know what's going on," I said as she nodded.

Once we arrived at the castle, we were greeted by angrily hand-crossed children of ours.

'Oh boy,' I thought as we exited the carriage and saw them looking at us upset.

"Please tell me you didn't go to discuss my arranged marriage," said Elizabeth. I looked at her, confused, and Sofia giggled.

"What are you talking about, sweetheart?" asked Sofia, still giggling as I raised my eyebrow.

"See, I told you it wasn't about me!" exclaimed Elizabeth to William and Edward as they chuckled.

"Then it was business," said Edward as I nodded before looking at William as his eyes widened.

"You didn't go to Corinthia, did you?" he asked as I shook my head.

"No, we didn't," I said as he sighed.

"How did it go?" asked William as Sofia and I smiled.

"Terrific, looks like this is going to be solved sooner than expected," said Sofia as I nodded.

"Really?!" said the children, excited as I nodded.

"We just need to wait until after Wassalia Day. That's when we will meet again and discuss the trial," I said as they cheered.

"For now, we can relax and enjoy our holiday since it seems everything is going to turn alright," I said as we celebrated our success for today.

In my opinion, this was amazing since we didn't know yet what we would be faced with.

I'm not saying I don't have high hopes of us winning, but no one knows for sure who the winner will be or if it is my time to leave and lose. I want to make sure I spend as much time with my family as possible.
