Winter holidays brought a chilly breeze that swept through the shopping center where
Boyfriend was rapping against his in-laws.
Pico watched from a distance, hidden among the bustling crowd, his heart heavy with concern.
He had been tracking Boyfriend discreetly ever since their reunion, keeping his distance but always nearby. The Hanahaki disease had worsened, leaving him weak and breathless, he couldn't even enjoy a cigarette at this point. But Pico was determined to protect Boyfriend from his in-laws.
As Boyfriend rapped, his words filled with defiance and passion, Pico felt a surge of pride.
If Daddy and Mommy didn't get out of the idea of killing Boyfriend, somehow Boyfriend would prove to them that he's worth it for their daughter.
The tension escalated as Daddy Dearest hired Pico once again, this time to ensure Boyfriend's demise during a confrontation with Tankman. The mercenary received the order, a cold reminder of the dangerous game he was playing, because Daddy all this time thought he had just been failing, not failing on purpose.
He arrived at the designated location, heart pounding with conflicting emotions.
When Tankman's henchmen surrounded them, guns drawn and hostility thick in the air, Pico acted swiftly.
With a swift and agile movement, he lunged forward, kicking Girlfriend off the speakers and taking her place in a protective stance. His heart raced as adrenaline surged through his veins, the weight of his guns firm in his hands.
The tension crackled as Tankman's henchmen took direct aim, their fingers tightening on the triggers. Before they could fire, Pico moved like lightning, smashing the face of one henchman with his gun. The man staggered back, clutching his bleeding nose.
Girlfriend, knocked off balance but swiftly caught by Boyfriend, looked on with wide eyes, her features shifting momentarily as her parents' traits briefly manifested.
Pico pivoted, aiming his second gun at the other henchman's face. The man recoiled in terror, his shout drowned out by the gunshot that followed. Silence fell briefly as the threat was neutralized, Pico standing tall amidst the chaos.
Tankman's mocking voice cut through the stillness, taunting Pico with a mix of disdain and grudging respect.
"Ah, look who it is! Your sexually ambiguous, angry little friend! Don't you have a school to shoot up? There's one way to settle this. Let's rock, ya little cunt!"
Pico's chest heaved with exertion, his gaze locked on Tankman with unwavering determination. He didn't falter in the face of the provocation, his mind focused on protecting Boyfriend and Girlfriend at all costs.
The next move… of course, Boyfriend and Tankman rap battling!
It seemed to be the way to solve everything for Boyfriend.
After Boyfriend's obvious victory, he approached, his expression a mix of relief and concern as he laid a hand on Pico's shoulder. "Thank you," he said earnestly, his voice cutting through the lingering tension.
"Thank you for saving us." said Girlfriend behind the omega. Her words seemed honest to the alpha.
Pico nodded.
Surely his actions had spoken louder than any confession could.
