Carnavont woke with slight yawn, stretching slightly as he rose up on his bed. As he went about his usual morning routine he only somewhat dreaded going to work. Not for any reason of him not wanting to work or not feeling well; but for the fact he knew it was going to be another day of the others, specifically Xera, hounding him about his date. Not that he overly minded, but it was just most of them aside from Zever, Typhus, and to an extent Destra treated it like a younger brother finally discovered what girls were. The questioning and prodding from the other day was still rather fresh on his mind, particularly Xera and Havoc's.

Both seemed to make it a mission to ask things like if he had gotten hot and heavy with her, if she stayed over with him, if he made any forward moves and so on like they were gauging what he was like with women and how bold he actually was. It annoyed him somewhat, but thankfully they never got too much with their questions. One thing all of them did seem to ask though was if he managed to get a second date, like the fact if he did or didn't was going to make or break their business. Of course they were all happy when they heard that another date would happen, though that just got Xera bugging him on what he'd do, and he doubt she...or the others, were going to stop till he had a solid idea of what he was going to do.

It wasn't like he was completely inept at dating, it was just nerves of wanting to make a great impression and wanting the first date to go well. Now that he knew he and Loona hit it off well, he was already thinking of date ideas for a second date that might be fun. He just had to settle on one of them, which hopefully wouldn't be too hard. But that was something to work out later, right now he had to get to work.

Circus music played to an empty circus tent set up in a rather populated area of the city, the shadow of a horned female hellhound wearing a hat appearing larger than life for all to see. "Ladies and gentleman, demons and sinners of all ages, welcome one and all to the most sensational and daring performance of a lifetime!...and quite risqué for those of an older demographic." the hellhound announced in grand fashion. "I assure you that you have not seen a circus like this in your lifetime, especially you sinners who lead such dull lives on earth. We got spectacle, we got glitz, we got daring and brazen, we got it all! So sit back, relax, and prepare to be thrilled, excited, and more! And to those of you looking for some eye candy...we got that too. Welcome, to the greatest show in hell!"

As she finished the declaration hellborn horses, lions, and other animals burst forth from the curtains along with performers from just about every race natural to hell. There were jugglers, clowns, tamers, everything a grand circus as properly sized as this to entertain masses would have. A variety of stunts and tricks were performed, the motions clearly that of a rehearsal. When they had finished, one of the performers, an avian demon who was a sword swallower, moved to talk to their ringleader.

"How was that?" The sword swallower asked with a slight smile.

"Perfect, as always my dear, simply sensational." The ringleader said, leaning on her cane whose curved top resembled a hound, her very demeanor exuded confidence and showmanship. "I think we're ready for the evening."

"Great." The sword swallower smiled. "Gotta say, ever since you took up for the old boss things certainly have gotten...funner let's say."

The ringleader grinned coyly, "My dear, if you can't be bold and risqué then you don't deserve to call yourself a showman." she commented. "Anyway, I think I'll head out for a bit, I need to go check on something."

"I think you mean go see someone." The sword swallower smirked.

"Guilty as charged." The female hellhound chuckled. "A girl's got needs ya know?"

"Tell him we miss him and that we hope he can at least come do a performance or two." The sword swallower requested.

"Was already planning on it love. After all, he does know how to...perform." The female hellhound said suggestively. "Anyway, see you in a bit." she said as she tossed something down and disappeared in a puff of smoke.

Carnavont and the others sat in the meeting room, they had just finished with the regular morning meeting, going over the usual points for the day and general chat. Some of which, much to Carnavont's dismay, had been the further prodding of when he was going to ask Loona out again. While they sat there about to head to the practice range, Typhus' voice came from the other room. "Sir...you have a visitor."

"Visitor? Don't you mean client?" Carnavont asked.

"No sir, I mean visitor." Typhus replied.

"Well, send them in." Carnavont asked as he moved to go greet the visitor as he saw the figure of a hound's form coming from under the door.

"Hello darlings, how are you all today?" came a female's voice as the door flung open, Carnavont now looking down at a diminutive horned female hellhound dressed up in circus ringleader attire. She was short, shorter than even Xera coming to just about her bust with a two toned grey fur, a darker outer coat and a lighter inner coat. She had two sets of red horns, one longer that went over her ears with slight curves and a smaller set just below the longer ones that jutted out just enough to be noticeable. She had long, luxurious dark maroon hair with a pinkish red streak on top and what appeared to be a fully pinkish red dye job, or natural, under layer that covered her right eye. She was thin, lithe with just the right curves in the right places to draw the eye to her. Her ensemble matched her red eyes and hair and red eyes, with a black top hat with pinkish red band and feather.

Her ringleader uniform was much the same, looking much like what was expected with it's almost tuxedo like look. Maroon covered the shoulder pads, vest like front section, collar, and small section of the waist. Meanwhile the flare shaped fur extending from the shoulder pads, two ear piercings on her left ear, belt like stripes along the waist, buttons on either side of the straps that went across the torso, and necklace she wore were all gold. White set off the center of the uniform while the majority of the form fitting top was a two tone striped red. She wire short, form fitting thigh length black pants, that seemed to be a nice break up that complimented her somewhat thick bushy tail, the side of which had a pinkish red stripe that went down somewhat halfway and a more fully pinkish red tip. Lastly, her appropriately sized hound cane had similar pinkish red and red fur, red hound eyes, white teeth, and two toned grey.

"Ah, Sinder, nice of you to drop by-" Carnavont said, his last word trailing off as a whip went around his neck and he was pulled more to her eye level. "What can I do you for?"

"Oh just figured I'd swing by and say hello. And to see how you're treating my Zever, I'd hate to hear that he was suddenly unable to perform~. And yes, I do mean it both ways." Sinder grinned teasingly. "Besides, I haven't gotten the chance to see where he works or meet his coworkers since you swooped him up almost a year ago." She pseudo complained. "I must say, I do like the look of this place, very respectable."

"Rest assured, as I said before when I came and hired him, he won't be in any harm I would not do myself." Carnavont replied.

"Good~, let's keep it that way hmm? I know he's VERY capable~, but I just can't help but worry." Sinder said as she released Carnavont, confidently striding over to the meeting table and acrobatically leaping on top of it, walking directly over to Zever and placing a firm, unashamedly deep, and rather intimate kiss on him. "How's my BIG handsome lover doing?" She cooed. "I know you might be busy, but I just can't get enough of you."

Zever cleared his throat as Xera and Havoc looked on in surprise. "I'm well love, you didn't have to check up on me."

"Oh I know, but practice ended early and I had nothing to do so I used it as an excuse to drop by and finally meat your coworkers." Sinder said as she turned her head, appraising each, lingering a bit long on Destra and Xera, sizing them up with little shame. "I must say all of them look rather intriguing, especially the girls...they're cute~."

"Right back at ya." Xera grinned. "I like her style, how'd a stiff like you get her?" She asked blatantly.

"Oh it's simple really, back when I was but a performer Zevy stumbled upon the circus." Sinder explained. "He had said he escaped the orphanage and needed somewhere to lie low so I vouched for him when the ring master saw him. We've been inseparable ever since...and lovers for a few years now." She grinned proudly.

"Awe, how sweet." Destra said with a smile.

"Yeah, also explains why you're so freakishly good with swords and knives." Havoc commented. "I will say though, she kinda reminds me of Xera…"

"She does seem a bit like me." Xera commented before teasingly grinning at Zever. "Am I your type big guy? Have you looked at me while I wasn't looking?"

"Certainly not!" Zever mildly huffed. "It's just a coincidence you two have similarities. Besides, Sinder is...unique...special."

"Awe, so are you my stoic knife slinger~." Sinder cooed. "But I wouldn't mind if you had a bit of an eye for her...or her friend. If you two are ever open for a three or four way, do let me know, I'll definitely consider it." She winked playfully.

"Ha! I really like her." Xera grinned widely. "You a fellow lust ringer?"

"Half lust ring hound, father was from the greed ring." Sinder explained.

"Well the greed ring father explains the horns, some greed hellhounds have those." Destra commented. "I'm Destra by the way., Xera's...better half." She smirked.

"Nice to meet you beautiful." Sinder said with a smile before turning to Havoc. "And you'd be?"

"Havoc, if you ever need a big bang, just call me." Havoc grinned.

"I'll keep that in mind, could always use a good firework show." Sinder smirked. "Though my Zevy's pretty good at making big bangs himself~." She added, making Zever fluster ever so slightly.

"So…" Xera said as she looked at Sinder and Zever. "How DO you two…"

"Oh, that?" Sinder grinned with a shamelessness that screamed complete confidence. "I really don't mind the size difference as I always have a great view of his best...assets." She said as Zever averted his eyes a bit. "That, and I never have to bend over to use my mouth." sinder added with a chuckle as he cleared his throat with a the faintest of blushes. "What? She asked. And besides, your friends are my friends love." she said as she looked at him before going back to Xera. "As for the other…" She grinned. "I do like being on top...though he does do wonders when taking charge." sinder winked.

"Heh...never figured you for a switch." Havoc commented.

"Oh, he's never truly submissive dear, he just knows what I like." Sinder said as she smirked, idly resting her weight on her cane. "Oh, and love?"

"Yes dear?" Zever asked as he looked at her.

"I do hope you get some time off soon, miss performing with you." Sinder said with a warm smile. "People so did enjoy our lil death defying act. I also miss being strapped to something as you thrust your pointed tips at me. Oh, and your knives too." She snickered with a grin.

"...I'll see what I can do." Zever replied with a slight smile.

"I'm sure you will love." Sinder smiled. "I know you're a big part of this team and I let you join because you're the best at handling sharp weapons, I just really miss doing our act."

"I know, and I'll do my best to try and make a performance or two." Zever promissed.

"Thank you love." Sinder said as she moved to kiss his cheek. "Well then, it's been lovely meeting you all, but I probably should head back, don't want to keep you all from work. See you tonight love?" She asked as she looked at Zever.

"As always my love." Zever said with the faintest smile.

As Sinder was about to reply Carnavont's phone rang. "Oh, Sorry." He said as he looked to see who it was before answering it. "Hey Loona, what's up?"

"Loona?" Sinder asked with curiosity.

"Boss' first girlfriend, about time if you ask me." Xera answered.

"Huh, he didn't seem the type to date, guess I was wrong." Sinder commented.

"What's that?" Carnavont asked. "Am I free to talk? Sure I guess...oh, in person? Well…"

"Oh for Lucifer's sake, say yes!" Xera shouted. "If she's calling you during work hours she must really need to talk."

"I agree." Destra echoed. "If it's one thing you should know, it's that if a girl says she needs to talk to you, then she REALLY needs a shoulder to lean on."

"Carnavont looked at the others. "But what about…"

"Dude you haven't taken a day off since you started this business, you deserve a day off. Plus there's six of us, if IMP can stay afloat with with four people we should be fine being down one." Havoc stated with a mild matter of fact tone.

"For once I'm in agreement with Havoc, we'll be fine." Zever remarked. "If she really needs someone to talk to, go." He added. "If a relationship is to last, you must be there for the other when they need it."

"Awe, and that's why I love you." Sinder cooed. "But yes, go to her Carnavont dear, love is an important thing."

"...Alright…" Carnavont said before uncovering his phone. "Yeah, sure, where?" He asked before blinking. "LA?...Alright, I'll be there shortly, where will I find you?" Carnavont inquired. "Coffee shop, got it, see you soon." He said before hanging up. "Zever, you'll be in charge.

"Yes sir." Zever nodded.

"Well look at my BIG guy, being the boss' go to for taking over while away. But then again, you always know how take charge." Sinder smirked. "Anyway, I'll be off, see you tonight honey, and be good. If I hear you did a good job, you'll a special treat tonight." She winked. "Love you my obsidian beast~."

"Love you to my radiant red rose." Zever replied with a slight smile.

"Awe." Both Xera and Destra couldn't help but say with a smile, taking each other's hand.

Sinder smiled warmly."Anyway, toodles! It was nice meeting the rest of you. Oh, and you're all welcomed as special guests to any show, free of charge by being Zever's friends." she said before once more tossing something down and disappearing in a puff of smoke.

"...The hell you manage to snag her?" Havoc commented as he looked at Zever.

"We just get each other." Zever commented with a shrug.

"But you can be such a serious guy and stiff!" Xera added. "The only time we see you cut loose is when you get into your work."

"Like I said, we get each other." Zever said simply.

"You're a freak in bed aren't ya?" Xera asked with a smirk.

Zever's expression went flat. "…I refuse to answer that."

"Knew it." Xera grinned as Zever rolled his eyes.

Carnavont cleared his throat, getting the others attention. "Now that we've all had our fun I should hopefully be back soon. If not, well I'll see you tomorrow."

"See ya boss, and do tell if things get steamy." Xera teased.

"...I'll ignore that." Carnavont commented rather deadpanly.

"Don't worry sir, even if it takes longer than you expect me and Destra will make sure everything goes smoothly." Zever said as he shot a side eye at Xera who just stuck her tongue out at him.

"Right, see you guys soon." Carnavont said as he walked out into the main waiting area of the office. "I'm heading to Earth to meet with Loona Typhus, Zever and Destra will be in charge."

"Right…uh, sir?" Typhus asked.

"Yes?" Carnavont replied as he turned to look at Typhus.

"I know you're going to meet with Loona but…do you think I could join?" Typhus requested. "I'm rather curious what Earth is like. If you don't mind…"

"That's right, you haven't been have you?" Carnavont inquired.

"No, just saw what I could when you opened portals." Typhus responded.

Carnavont placed a hand on his chin as he thought for a moment. "...hmmm...it would be a good excuse for you to see what Earth is like. Though we really should get you ready in case we ever need you to fill in for someone."

"I have been doing some training sir, while I'll admit my progress is slow I am getting there." Typhus assured.

Carnavont nodded. "Well...let me call Loona to see if she'd mind, don't want to cause any issue."

Typhus nodded. "Right, and I don't want to intrude if this is a private thing."

"Do you have a disguise?" Carnavont asked.

"Yes, I managed to acquire one a week ago." Typhus replied.

Carnavont nodded as he grabbed his phone and called Loona. "Hey, I'm not quite on Earth yet I just had a quick question. Would you mind if I brought one of my employees along? He hasn't seen Earth yet and asked if he could come since this is the best excuse he'll have for a while…You sure? Great, I'll let him know, see you soon." Carnavont smiled as he hung up, "You're in luck, she didn't mind."

"Thank you sir!" Typhus beamed.

"Please, we're technically on off time right now, you don't have to say sir." Carnavont pointed out to the other hellhound.

"Right...sorry." Typhus apologized/

Carnavont nodded as he quickly moved back to the meeting room and stuck his head in. "Typhus will be tagging along, Destra you'll need to be help Zever out."

"Got it, it's his first time going to Earth right?" Destra asked.

"Yeah." Carnavont nodded.

"Hell of a place to go for a first time." Destra remarked knowingly.

"Tell me about it, catch you guys later." Carnavont said as he raised a hand in goodbye.

"Later." They all said in response.

Carnavont smiled as he moved back to the center of the lobby. "Ready?"

"Yes si-I mean, Carnavont." Typhus nodded.

"Good." Carnavont said as he quickly cast the spell, a portal opening up to an alleyway, both covering their noses and fanning with their other hand.

"Ugh, why does it smell like shit, piss, and...shattered hopes and dreams?" Typhus asked as he seemed to want to slightly gag. "Is this typical for Earth?"

"You forgot the desperation." Carnavont remarked. "But no, this just happens to be one of the shittier areas." He added as the two stepped through.

"So what, are they trying to make hell on Earth?" Typhus asked. "Because so far I'm not seeing a difference."

"Wouldn't put it past them, humans have some driven desire to try and one up everything or rip something off." Carnavont shrugged. "Sometimes I wonder if some of them are just some far flung offshoot of demon. By the way, be careful, an area this shitty will have lots of people try to take advantage of or rip you off...or try to drain your soul by locking you into some sort of passion draining deal."

Typhus blinked. "Right...how do you…?"

"Musician, innately know these kinds of areas. Anyway, should get our disguises on, can't let Loona wait too long."

"Yes si-...Carnavont." Typhus replied as the two dawned their human disguises. And true to how he was normally, Typhus looked quite modest, the robotic arm disguised to look more like a prosthetic limb as the scars he had did nothing to make him look all that tough, his demeanor not really helping in that either, seeming a bit more mild mannered and somewhat gentle. "Ready."

"Not bad, though we definitely need to toughen you up a bit more." Carnavont commented.

"Trying my best. Don't worry, I'll get there." Typhus assured.

"I'm sure you will." Carnavont smiled.

The two made their way out of the Alley, walking through LA as Typhus took in the surroundings. While he was somewhat intrigued, Typhus couldn't help but feel a little let down with how the cuty looked, it certainly didn't help random people kept trying to give him stuff like mix CDs. Something he assumed had a catch to it as Carnavont flashed his gun each time and made sure they backed off. Yeah, so far this place wasn't too far from hell.

It didn't take long for them to find their way to the coffee shop thanks to the directions and phot Loona had sent Carnavont. As they walked in Carnavont looked around, assuming she'd look similar to her real form, sniffing the air slightly just to make extra sure she was there. He soon smiled as he set his eyes on a somewhat morose looking girl with long long gray hair parted to one side sitting at a table and idly taking a sip of coffee, walking over to great her with Typhus following right behind.

"Hey there, why the sour look beautiful?" Carnavont asked as his smile grew a bit.

Loona looked at him, about to say to fuck off when she noticed his hair and the logo on his shirt and immediately brightened up a bit. "Carnavont, heeeey." She said, the smile on her face just as awkward as the first time they met.

"Hey yourself."Carnavont chuckled.

"So, who's your friend?" Loona asked as she looked to Typhus.

"Typhus ma'am, pleased to meet you." Typhus replied as he gave a very slight bow.

"Ma'am?" Loona asked as she arched a brow. "I'm not old. And what's with the formal bow?"

"You'll have to forgive Typhus, his former owner was...well, a real piece of shit." Carnavont commented. "Liked to amuse himself by...well, you can see."

Loona blinked as she took note of the scars and whited out eye on Typhus, as well as the disguised robotic limb. "I see...nice to meet you Typhus but please, call me Loona, ma'am just makes me feel weird."

"Right, sorry." Typhus replied as he rubbed the back of his head.

"Typhus here's our receptionist, though he's working on becoming more involved and to fill in when needed." Carnavont explained.

"Really?" Loona asked

"Yeah, I want to help out as much as I can." Typhus replied. "I owe it to Carnavont for what he's done for me."

"And I keep telling you to think nothing of it Typhus." Carnavont said as he looked to Typhus before offering him some cash. "Why don't you get you a coffee or something, my treat."

Typhus blinked as he rubbed his left arm. "Thanks, but I couldn't…"

"I insist. It's your first time here and I want you to at least have something decent while in this shit hole of a city." Carnavont said as he held the money closer to Typhus.

"...Thank you." Typhus said as he took the money, heading to get him something to drink and possibly eat.

"That was very nice of you." Loona smiled.

"A happy employee is a good employee." Carnavont replied. "Besides, he's been through hell as it is, and not just from the orphanage."

"Yeah, I can tell…" Loona said as she briefly watched Typhus politely waiting in line to order, taking note of how gentle he seemed compared to other hellhounds. "If it doesn't break you...someone else will." Loona said as she grabbed her arm as she adverted her eyes, remembering the misery and abuse she went through at the orphanage.

Carnavont sat down across from Loona, smiling a bit as he looked at her. "So...what did you need to talk about?"

Loona took a moment before looking at Carnavont and then at her coffee before sighing. "I...had a pretty big fight with Blitz this morning…"

"How bad?" Carnavont asked as he looked at her.

"...pretty bad." Loona admitted. "He said I wasn't a people person, that I'm not doing a good enough job. I took it pretty bad."

"Well...are you?" Carnavont inquired. "A people person I mean."

"Maybe, I don't know…" Loona replied with a sigh. "I've never really had any great experiences with people, especially at the orphanage. No one looked out for you, no one believed in you, it was eat or be eaten." She added. "No one cared...no one believed….they'd rather assert themselves and make you miserable and feel worthless so I never…"

"Never really felt you could trust or open up, because the moment you showed any weakness...they beat the shit out of you to make themselves feel good and assert themselves as the dominant one of the cage." Carnavont said knowingly. "It's why they separate the pups from all the others, though I'm surprised they even cared that much...bunch of traitors." Carnavont said with venom. "If you can't show care for your own kind your worse than trash."

"...Yeah…so why do should I treat everyone like a fucking king or queen if most of em are shitty in some way?" Asked in slight irritation. "No one in hell's stuck there neck out for us."

"Maybe so, but we should still try to be better than them, show we are deserving of respect." Carnavont replied. "Plus it is still kind of your job...sometimes you just have to grin and bear it while thinking about treating em like shit."

"Maybe….I just...I don't know." Loona sighed. "I still can't believe you managed to escape." Loona said with slight awe.

"Wasn't too hard, staff that barely cared, just had to plan it right." Carnavont shrugged. "Anyway, you might be a little rough around the edges, but you seem perfectly capable to me, and with just a bit of work you can be great."

"It isn't just that...As we got more heated in our argument Blitz said...he said he might replace me…What's worse is that fatso prick Moxxie encouraged it!" Loona fumed as she explained,

Carnavont's relaxed behavior changed, eyes narrowing as anger seeped into his face. "WHAT?" He snarled.

"Yeah...he didn't even take it back, just said to get back to my desk." Loona replied, the hurt still in her voice.

Carnavont snarled more as he clenched his hand on the table, almost breaking the section of it. "Those bastards.." He seethed. "Do EITHER of them even have the SLIGHTEST clue how that would sound to a hellhound? Still…" Carnavont said as he composed himself a bit. "I did notice that he lets you have the only bedroom at your place, so I'm going to ATTEMPT to give him the benefit of the doubt and assume he didn't mean it."

"Maybe…" Loona sighed. "I just...I can't...I can't be too sure with him or even really let myself truly believe that he won't fully replace me. I heard him back when he was looking to adopt...family friendly...he was looking for some easy to handle pup, not a hound like me…I don't want to be hurt, not like I was at the orphanage."

Carnavont softened as he moved to place a hand on hers. "And yet he did choose you, that at least speaks to something. He had his pick, but he singled out you, even gave you the only room he had. And as much as I want to kill the guy for saying what he did, I'm going to try and be nice. He might of just screwed up. Lot's of people like him do, but he at least seems to be trying. He might not always say or do the right thing, but at least he tries and treats you like family, which is far more than any other hellhound could have the fortune of having. If I've learned anything, it's that things can be messy, people can fuck up...a lot, but it doesn't mean they don't care. It's just that it's never that easy, people have issues."

"Yeah, you're rather lucky." Typhus commented as he walked up with a coffee and muffin. "I might not know the whole situation, but from what I'm hearing...he just might not know how to be a parent."

Loona gently squeezed Carnavont's hand. "Thanks...both of you."

"Just show him how great you can be. And hey, can always kick him in the dick." Carnavont grinned. "Also...if you tell him I said any of that I will deny all of it Vehemently."

Loona chuckled a bit as she smiled. "I'll keep that in mind. God I wished I hit him earlier."

"So do I." Carnavont commented. "And hey, if things come to worse, you'd be more than welcomed at HOUND. I meant what I said about appreciating having someone like you on the team. Hell, you'd fit right in, wouldn't she Typhus?"

"Definitely." Typhus smiled.

Loona blushed as she looked at Carnavont. "Thank you..."

"So, why LA? There are much nicer places to get coffee, even in hell." Carnavont inquired.

"Oh, I'm technically supposed to be looking for the kid of the guy who funds IMP." Loona clarified. "She took the grimoire for whatever reason and came here. The others are here too but no idea where fatso and his wife are and Blitz and his fuck daddy got hauled off by some TV producer guy."

"I see…" Carnavont mused. "Well maybe you can start proving how valuable you are now. We'll even help."

"You don't have to." Loona offered.

"Nonsense, it'd be no problem at all." Carnavont assured.

"I agree, with all three of us looking we should find her in no time." Typhus echoed.

"So, got any leads?" Carnavont asked.

"Well...no." Loona admitted.

"I see...what kind of demon is she?" Carnavont asked. "I'm assuming avian and a goetia, so knowing what she looks like as a demon might help us find her."

"Well, she's an owl...rather skinny, kind of solemn looking with longish dark gray feathery hair. She was wearing a beanie with a crown, as well as a jacket, both black, and a pink long sleeved shirt with yellow stars and black boots." Loona explained before going to look at her phone.

"That certainly helps narrow down what we need to look for." Carnavont mused.

"Yeah, with that description we should find her relatively easy." Typhus nodded.

"Well we better get started before-" as Carnavont started getting up Loona spat out her coffee. "What?" he asked before Loona showed him and Typhus her phone, showing the girl she just described in a picture in several selfies in the city on sinstagram, not even disguised.

"...Well, at least it'll be easy to track her. But boy is this going to cause an issue if the goetias or worse find out she was on Earth undisguised." Carnavont sighed.

Typhus looked at the picture a little longer. "Wow…I mean...yeah" he concurred. "Looks like we got no time to waist then."

"Definitely, who knows what kind of freaks or weirdos might start something." Carnavont said as he, Loona and Typhus quickly made their way out of the coffee shop and started to the latest location.

When they got to the location they looked around, only for no trace of the girl to be seen. After seeing her next location they headed over, hoping to catch her before she left, but to no avail. When they got to the location of another picture she posted they thought they found her, only for it to be a random human, something that was only mildly awkward. They continued their search, going to location after location as it was posted and time and again seemingly getting there a bit too late. By the time the sun was set they made it to the very last place she had posted, panting and worn out.

"Hopefully this is the place…" Loona commented as she wiped some sweat from her jaw.

"Can't go to anywhere else of interest. And even if she's not, me and Typhus will stay and help till we do find her." Carnavont assured.

"Yeah, it wouldn't be right to not help." Typhus agreed.

"Thanks guys…" Loona smiled before heading to the main observatory building with the other hellhounds, the three looking about the perimeter just in case before before checking the inside. As they did Loona spotted her sitting up on the stone railing up some stairs on the outside crying. "Hey, over here, I found her." she said just loud enough for Carnavont and Typhus to hear.

The three made their way up the stairs, approaching the girl carefully so as not to frighten or startle her. As they did, they dropped their disguises one by one, just as an added means of keeping her calm and to prevent any misunderstandings or anything. "Hey…" Loona said as they got closer.

"Hey...how did you...find me and who are they?" The girl asked as she composed herself a bit.

"Your sinstagram, nice pics by the way." Loona said as she walked up and leaned on the stone railing and looked at her phone. "And as for those two…"

"I'm Carnavont, and this is Typhus." Carnavont said as he introduced himself and Typhus.

"H-hello." Typhus said somewhat nervously as he fought off a light blush.

"And you are?" Carnavont asked.

"Octavia…" she replied. "You her friends?"

"I'd like to think so." Typhus replied

Carnavont blushed a bit. "Well...I'm her boyfriend." He answered, causing Loona to blush as well.

"I see...must be nice having people like you two…" Octavia said with a sad expression. "Thanks by the way." she said as she looked at Loona.

"You OK?" Loona asked.

"I can't believe I was so stupid." Octavia admonished herself as she looked away. "All I wanted to do was get away from the shit going on in my life and see some stars, looking around all day and all I get is THIS!" she cried as she laid her head in her arms. "I didn't know how to use the book right, or cast the spell...All I did was just...try to cast it by wanting to see famous stars."

"Yeah...smog's a bitch." Loona commented as she pulled out a cigarette and tried to light it. Carnavont was about to help her with his lighter when Octavia produced a flame with her finger and offered it. After taking a puff Loona sat up on the stone railing with Octavia. "You know, your dad's really worried about you…"

"Right, that's why you're here with your friends instead of him, he couldn't be bothered to keep his promise and now he can't be bothered to come and get me himself. He'd rather just spend his time screaming at my mom...Why does he hate her more than he loves ME?!"

Loona sat there a few seconds, blinking as she wasn't quite sure what to say. She looked at Carnavont for a moment, his words from earlier relating to her own dad fresh on her mind as she then looked to Octavia. "Sometimes...sometimes things aren't as simple as that. This kind of shit gets messy...everybody's got issues, even dads, especially dads. And sometimes they fuck up...well, all the time. But that doesn't mean they don't care."

"If he cares then where is he?" Octavia asked.

"He's somewhere down there." Loona gestured towards the city.

"He's here?" Octavia blinked.

"Looking for you, in spite of what I assume is some shit happening between him and Blitz based on how they're acting and what's going on with him and your mom...you should have seen how upset he was. Try to cut him some slack, he might not always get it right but...at least he's trying, that's more important than you think."

Octavia blinked as she looked at Loona before her attention was drawn by a cleared up view of the night sky. While she did, Loona looked back at Carnavont and smiled, silently thanking him for earlier, to which he returned the smile. Loona then tossed her cigarette before getting up and stretching, offering a hand to Octavia. "You ready to go?"

Octavia handed her the grimoire as she got up. "Yeah…" only to blink as Loona extended her hand again before smiling and hugging her.

"Well, looks like everything's settled here." Carnavont said as he stretched slightly. "Me and Typhus will be going now, nice to meet you Octavia."

"You're...not coming?" Octavia asked. "I thought you were a part of IMP."

"Oh, no, I run a business of my own, it's called hound." Carnavont explained.

"Hound?" Octavia asked.

"It's short for the hellhound organization for untimely and necessary deaths...same kind of business." Carnavont explained.

Octavia blinked. "Huh…that's kind of a cool name But aren't you...competitors then?"

"Thanks." Carnavont smiled. "And yeah, but that only applies to business hours in my book. Plus I like Loona, and want to not have that effect us dating…" Carnavont added as both he and Loona blushed.

"That's rather sweet." Octavia smiled.

"Thanks. Anyway, if you'd like, me and Typhus can be your friends as well, shouldn't have to go through this kind of shit without some friends." Carnavont offered.

"Yeah!" Typhus said somewhat eagerly before rubbing the back of his head as he tried to play it off.

"Thanks...I'd like that." Octavia smiled.

"By the way..." Loona said as she looked at Carnavont. "Can't say I'll fully do the same for Blitz, but I'll at least try to do better with my job, if just to show him how wrong he is."

"Hey, that's all I ask. Besides, he's still a massive asshole who shouldn't have said what he did, so he might be a slight exception." Carnavont replied with a smirk. "So feel free to give him a punch or something."

Loona chuckled. "Yeah. And thanks again for the offer, I'll keep it in mind just in case."

Carnavont nodded. "By the way…" he said as he looked at Octavia. "Who's your dad, I'm curious."

"Stolas...why?" Octavia replied.

Both Carnavont and Typhus went wide eyed for a split second before looking at each other then back to Octavia. "No reason…like I said, just curious."

"Do you know him?" Octavia asked.

"Heard of him, sounds like a great guy…" Carnavont said as he trued to keep his composure. "Best of luck."

"Thanks, see you around hopefully." Octavia said before she and Loona went through a portal.

"See ya…" Carnavont said as he and Typhus waved goodbye before he let out a sigh of sheer panic. "What the fuck?! Man I dodged a bullet by refusing that job."

"Yeah…" Typhus replied just as existentially surprised. "And what if IMP had been the ones guarding him that day…"

"I don't even want to think about it…" Carnavont dismissed as he pulled out a cigarette and lit it, taking a big drag before exhaling. "...So, what was the deal with you around Octavia?"

"W-what do you mean?" Typhus asked nervously.

"I saw you looking at her sinstagram images slightly longer, and the wagging tail and slight nervousness. You like her don't ya?"

"...She seems nice…and she's kinda cute…" Typhus replied with a meek blush.

Carnavont chuckled, "An Ars Goetia eh? You might just grow into quite the man yet."

"...It'd never work though, I'd be happy being her friend." Typhus said with a slight smile.

"Never know till you try." Carnavont assured as he offered a smile.

"...Maybe...but it's a bit soon to even think about it." Typhus sighed.

"Maybe, but at least you have a crush now, you deserve to shoot for some of that happiness, you definitely deserve it."

"Thank you sir...Carnavont. Maybe in the future, if things go well."

"Take your time. So, followed her Sinstagram?" Carnavont asked.

"Just did…" Typhus replied.

Carnavont smirked as he took one more drag of his cigarette before tossing it away. "That's step one, now just build to that goal. I'll follow her as well, she needs all the friends she can get. Anyway, time for us to get back." he said as he proceeded to open up their own portal to in front of the office building that HOUND was based in. "I'm sure the others are going to enjoy hearing about this tomorrow. Oh, and next time I'll see if I can take you somewhere better than this shit hole, kind of a horrible first impression."

"Yeah, although it wasn't all bad." Typhus said as he followed behind Carnavont, taking a moment to look up at the moon and stars, noting some fireworks in the distance. A small smile formed on his face before he stepped through.
