Time seemed to slow down as Carnavont observed cars of a similar make pulling alongside his and Zever's as one pulled in front of his and behind the other car, essentially boxing them in. "Shit…" he muttered, "Zever, floor it!" he ordered through the mental link as he slammed his foot on the pedal.

"Right!" Zever complied as he did the same.

Carnavont's car slammed into the back of the car in front, pushing it forward with the assistance of Zever's as shots began to ring out from the cars alongside them. Destra quickly grabbed Shariza, getting her down flat against the seat as Loona did the same with Persephinelle. "What the shit?!" exclaimed Azure's daughters as they were jolted from the impact, tackled to the seat, and heard gunfire.

As the cars alongside the two driven by hound continued to fire at them, Carnavont's car slammed into the back of the one in front of them, aided by the one driven by Zever to push it to where there was an opening. Carnavont and Zever quickly taking advantage to get out of being boxed in before any of the cars that were alongside them could cover up the gap made. The two speeding up to put some distance between them and the attackers.

"That was too well coordinated, definitely an attempted hit." Carnavont commented as he and Zever drove in tight formation as they were pursued by the cars. "You alright back there?" he asked as he briefly glanced in the rear view mirror to the back seat to Persephinelle.

"Yeah...fuck." Persephinelle said as she and Loona sat back up. "Whoever's behind this is going to pay." she muttered. "Also, you couldn't have done something else like just shoot them?" she added rubbing the back of her neck.

"And risk someone in the back seat getting you while I shot the driver? Not a kind of risk I'm willing to take, best to get some distance, even if slight, by going on the attack via ramming." Carnavont replied as he turned down a street with Zever following him, the cars driven by the assailants in hot pursuit.

"...Alright, I'll give you that. So what's the plan now?" Persephinelle asked.

"Simple, deal with them." Carnavont stated. "Zever, how's it looking behind us?" He asked through the mental link.

"Looks like they got friends sir." Zever commented as more cars showed up.

"Right. We'll break off and split them to have an easier time of it, divide and conquer." Carnavont explained.

"Sir!" Carnavont's team complied.

"Looks like you'll get that action after all, you hurt any?" Carnavont asked Loona.

"I'm fine…" Loona replied as she ready the assault rifle she brought.

"Good, now to have some fun." Carnavont commented, he and Zever breaking off at the next intersection, going in opposite directions as the vehicles that pursued them broke off to pursue either car with a few more joining the pursuit.

As Carnavont drove, making sure to not make it easy for the pursuing cars to get a clean shot at their vehicle, Loona and Xera leaned out their respective windows, returning fire at the pursuing cars. "Oh Fuck yeah, bring it motherfuckers!" Xera exclaimed with manic glee as she let out a cackle, managing to score some shots through the windshield of one and sending it careening into the side of a building. "One down, how you managing?" Xera asked as she looked back at Loona.

Loona let out a burst of fire, scoring some hits along the chassis of one of another. "Fuck, managing." she replied as she steadied herself, scoring some hits on the engine of the car and causing it to burst into flames. As it started to swerve she kept firing until she hit the gas tank, causing it to go up in a ball of fire.

"Fuckin nice!" Xera complimented Loona with a grin. "Hot and deadly, you sure know how to pick em boss." She added as she leaned back out to return fire.

"Yeah, well, just instinct I guess." Carnavont replied as he made a sharp turn, the cars managing to keep up with them.

"If it isn't, you're one lucky son of a bitch." Xera commented before firing more.

"Tell me bout it." Carnavont replied. "Zever, Destra, Havoc, how you guys holding up?" Carnavont asked through the mental link.

"Fine sir." Zever replied, staying calm and collected as he drove. "You think these are the same guys that tailed us in Greed?"

"Gotta be." Carnavont answered.

"And I think it goes without saying it's probably a rival boss or someone he pissed off.", Havoc commented through the link as he leaned out the window of the car Zever was driving, firing off his grenade launcher and blowing up one of the cars pursuing them, a wide grin on his face. "Ha Ha, damn I love this job." he said before ducking back in as he was shot at. "Still got a few on our tail though."

"Destra, mind taking the wheel a bit?" Zever asked as he looked over at Destra.

"Sure." the female hellhound replied.

"Awe man, are you seriously about to do what I think you are?" Havoc asked with growing amusement.

"Depends on what you think I'm going to do." Zever replied.

"Oh, this is gonna be good." Havoc commented with an amused grin, which Shariza only arched a brow at.

"What's he going to do?" The jellyfish demon asked.

"You'll see." Havoc said as he smirked at her. "Get ready for a show."

Zever and Destra unbuckled, Zever opening the door and in instinctual movement he turned and grabbed the top of the car flipping up and on top of it like a seasoned acrobat in one quick fluid motion. Destra was just as quick, shutting the door and grabbing the steering wheel after swiftly sliding over to keep the car steady and picking speed back up. When some of the cars closed in as theirs slowed a bit Zever ran along the top, acrobatically leaping and landing on the hood of one, baring some knives and quickly tossing them through the windshield and hitting the occupants which revealed to be imps and shark demons.

Zever proceeded to leap to another, dodging bullets as he proceeded to do the same to the occupants of that vehicle and then repeating for another. Pulling out his sword he leapt to one of the two remaining cars, landing on top of the roof of the car and shooting down where the back seat occupants were before slicing a hole for him to drop down into and shooting the passenger, stabbing the driver with his sword and opening a portal back to the car he was driving and plopping down next to Destra. "Saved the last one for you." he commented to Havoc

"Show off." Havoc commented before looking back at the last car, getting a good look at it before prepping a grenade and opening up a portal to it. "Here, hold this for me." he said as he dropped it through the portal and closing it, the car exploding seconds later.

"All clear, how's the situation with you sir?" Zever asked through the link.

"Manageable." Carnavont replied as Xera in manic glee cackled while taking care of two more cars, Loona taking care of two more as well.

After they passed through an intersection Carnavont opened up a portal back to it a few feet in front of the car, using it as a way to get behind the two remaining cars. Picking up some speed to catch back up he took out his gun, aiming out of the window and shooting the occupants in the back. As the car started to veer and swerve he pulled alongside it, shooting the demons in the front seat before continuing to pursue the remaining car that floored it.

"Hey Loona, know how to drive?" Carnavont asked as he kept on the car's tail.

"Yeah, why?" Loona inquired.

"Going to step out for a bit, mind taking the wheel?" Carnavont asked.

Loona blinked. "Uh, sure."

"Great, unbuckle then. Xera, mind helping her out taking my place?" Carnavont asked as he unbuckled his seat belt.

"Sure." Xera grinned, readying to open a portal. As soon as Carnavont opened his right under him and started to fall through she opened hers right above the driver seat, Loona plopping down on it the second after Carnavont's portal closed, the other hellhound immediately taking the wheel and keeping the car steady and to speed.

"Hey." Carnavont said as he plopped down between the two demons in the back seat of the last car, thew two looking at him in shock. Before they could react though he sliced their necks with his sharp serrated bits of fur along his arm.

"The fuck?!" exclaimed the shark demon in the passenger seat, starting to bring his gun to bear on the hellhouns. "You son of a-" Before he could bring it to full bear and shoot however, Carnavont grabbed and crushed it. "Oh shit..."

"Loona, slow down and prepare to stop." Carnavont said through the link as he proceeded to shoot the demon in the passenger seat.

"OK." Loona complied as she started to slow the car down a bit.

"Pull over and stop along the curb." Carnavont ordered as he pointed the gun at the shark demon driving, to which the demon complied, only for Carnavont to shoot him when he had brought the car to a stop. Opening the left passenger door Carnavont kicked the body out before getting out of the car himself, walking over to Loona who parked right behind as instructed. "Everything's handled, rendezvous back up so we can proceed to take the girls home." Carnavont instructed Zever over the mental link.

"Yes sir." Zever replied.

"So, have fun?" Carnavont asked Loona as he walked up to the driver side window.

"Yeah." Loona replied. "Haven't had that much fun sense me and Millie rescued Blitz and tight wad when they got captured by humans."

Carnavont blinked. "...What?"

"Long story." Loona said simply.

"I look forward to hearing it." Carnavont said before looking to Persephinelle. "You alright?"

"I'm fine." the shark demon replied. "I have to say, you are definitely more capable than I expected."

"If we weren't, we'd be dead." Carnavont half joked.

"True." Persephinelle smirked before opening the door and getting out of the car as Zever's car showed up with the others through a portal, Shariza getting out after they stopped. "Excuse us for a moment."

"Of course." Carnavont replied, watching as the two walked to the car he had gotten out of, looking the bodies over. As he watched them look at the bodies, then inspect the car, he saw them grow...distressed, especially when Shariza seemed to try and make a call a few times.

"Shit." Shariza muttered as she put her phone away. "Do you think?"

"Yeah." Persephinelle replied before walking back with her sister to Carnavont and the others. "Those men were from that woman our dad was going to meeting with, we have to go rescue him!" she ordered.

Carnavont looked at her, then the others, then back to her. "Our job is to keep you safe and to get you back home." he replied, to which both Shariza and Persephinelle narrowed their eyes.

"You treated us respectfully so let us return the favor." Shariza stated. "Here's the offer; we hire you to help us save our dad, do so and take us with you and we'll throw in a bonus. Don't, and he dies...Not only will we make sure you don't get a dime as his successors, but we'll come after HOUND too as retribution, your choice."

Carnavont looked at them a moment, a smirk forming on his face. "I assume you're good with guns?"

"We're daughters of a mob boss, what do you think?" Persephinelle countered.

"Two rules. One, We do this my way. And two, you follow MY orders, no exception." Carnavont stated.

"Deal." Shariza agreed.

"Good." Carnavont replied as he opened up a portal to the armory back at the office. "Pick out your weapons."

Havoc got out of the car he was in, walking over to Carnavont. "Think I'll restock too, might need more grenades."

"And I could use a resupply as well." Zever added.

Zever and Havoc walked through the portal with Shariza and Persephinelle, stocking up as the two aquatic demons looked through the various weapons in the armory. Persephinelle came to settle on a pair of handguns, deciding to stick to her long sharp claws for anything closer ranged. Shariza meanwhile picked out a tommy gun and some stiletto knives for good measure. The pair returning back through the portal with Havoc and Zever when all was said and done, making sure they didn't waste too much time preparing.

"We're ready." Persephinelle commented as she checked her guns.

Carnavont nodded with a smirk, "Good, it's nice to see you and your father hold family highly, it's very respectable."

"To our father, family is the business, if not more important than it. He made sure we knew that." Shariza commented.

Carnavont smiled, "As it should be. Family, whether by blood or business, is always more valuable. Not to mention the cornerstone of any business. At least that's the way I view it, especially with HOUND."

Shariza smiled slightly, "Right."

"One more thing…" Carnavont said before looking over to Destra as she sat in the other car. "Destra, add em to the link."

"Sir." she complied, recasting the spell to add Shariza and Persephinelle to it.

"Alright...HOUND, we got a mob boss to save." Carnavont stated.

"Sir!" His team complied, Havoc and Zever returning to their car as Shariza and Persephinelle got in their respective ones.

"Well, looks like you get to have some more action." Carnavont commented as he looked at Loona after walking over to the driver's side of the car he had been driving.

Loona smiled a bit, "Yeah, Can't say it's been dull, especially considering how I barely do anything over at IMP." she commented before getting back in her original seat so Carnavont could get back in.

"From what I'm seeing, you're definitely an asset that's not being used. You handle yourself quite well." Carnavont said as he got in the car. "Hopefully Blitz will open up his eyes to that. But like I said, if not, the offer's always on the table."

Loona blushed as a smile crossed her lips. "Thanks."

"So, you know where your dad is?" Carnavont ask as he looked at Persephinelle through the rear view mirror.

"Yeah, back up in the Pride ring, I'll give instructions as we go." Persephinelle replied.

The crimson hellhound nodded. "Alright."

Carnavont started the car and headed back towards the inter-ring elevator with Zever following close behind, taking it back up to Pride, Persephinelle informing of where they needed to go. When the elevator opened up they headed to a one of the nearby cities, the one they went to in particular seemed more focused on imports and exports with warehouses making up a large portion of it. As they neared a particularly warehouse heavy area where Persephinelle had said Azure would be Carnavont pulled off to the side as the sound of gunfire could be heard in the distance, Zever doing the same before they exited the vehicles.

"Alright, Destra, scout ahead and report back, will formulate a plan from there." Carnavont explained.

"Right." Destra nodded.

"Stay safe babe." Xera commented as she looked at Destra.

The taller hellhound smiled as she kissed her cheek, "Always do." she said before heading off to scout ahead, quickly scaling one of the warehouses and sticking to the top of them, leaping from one to another until she reached where the gunfire had come from. Peering from her vantage point above, Destra saw multiple vehicles surrounding an old factory, numerous shark demons and imps surrounding the building with what looked to be the bodies of Azure's men. Once she surveyed the situation she quickly returned to the others. "Found em, a lot of them too, looks like they have Azure surrounded inside a factory, there might be some in the warehouse as well." Destra said as she cast a spell to replicate what she saw out of the ground.

"Impressive." Shariza commented.

"That bitch will pay for this…" Persephinelle muttered

Zever looked at Carnavont. "What's the plan sir?"

"Please tell me it's go in guns blazing." Xera almost pleaded.

"They're somewhat clustered enough. I can rig one or both of the cars, send it barreling into them and boom." Havoc offered.

"Not a bad idea, but I'm not quite sure we'd have the time to do so." Carnavont countered.

"I won't need much time, trust me." Havoc assured.

"Very well, then here's what we'll do." Carnavont agreed. "Destra, set up in the back and to take out as many as possible, leaving when it gets too hot."

"Sir." Destra replied.

"As for the rest of us; Loona and Zever, you two will approach from the right, and handle the foot soldiers there." Carnavont ordered.

"Sir." Zever nodded.

"Right…" Loona complied.

"Havoc and Xera, you guys have the left, just do...you."

"Oh hell yeah." Xera and Havoc said almost in unison as they high-fived.

"Shariza and Persephinelle, you two are on me. We'll approach from the front. With us hitting from every angle they won't know who or how many, they'll be completely disorganized. From there we'll take out as many as we can before heading in while Destra and the others keep an eye out from outside and clear out any remaining foot soldiers, taking care of any possible reinforcements while we locate Azure and make sure he gets out safely." Carnavont explained, pointing out the location each would be be.

"Got it." Persephinelle replied.

"Oh, and Havoc, I think I'd prefer us to have an extra car, cause a bit more confusion to help each team." Carnavont said as he opened up up a portal to the car he had portaled into back in the lust ring.

Havoc grinned widely. "Oh hell yeah. But if we're looking for a car per team...Loona mind getting that one? I think we're going to need one more." he asked as he looked at Loona,

"Sure." Loona replied.

"Great, thanks." Havoc said before quickly opening a portal to where Zever had taken out a few of the pursuing cars.

"Not a bad plan." Shariza commented.

"Quick thinking is necessary in this business." Carnavont commented back.

It didn't take long for Havoc and Loona to bring the cars from the lust ring back before Havoc quickly rigged each of the cars with some of his grenades, doing a quick portal back to their office for a few more explosives to attach to them for good measure and some objects heavy enough to floor the accelerators. They then proceeded to arrange each of the cars to in position far enough away not to be seen but still with a clear shot to their intended targets. One where Carnavont and Azure's Daughter's would be attacking, the next where Zever and Loona would strike, the following one where Havoc and Xera would engage, and the last where Destra would be positioned.

With the cars ready each team got into position, taking up the best vantage points and waiting on Carnavont to give the signal to initiate the attack. Once Carnavont and Azure's daughter's were positioned Carnavont counted down through the link. "Three…two…one...go."

On his word Carnavont, Destra, Zever, and Havoc each opened up a portal to each car, all of them ready to go and with their steering wheels fixed for them to drive in a straight line. In unison they shifted the cars into drive, placing the objects Havoc brought on the accelerators to send them barreling towards their targets, keeping the portal open just long enough to undo a grenade pin so they'd go off at the right time. As the cars neared the targets the foot soldiers surrounding the factory turned their attention to them, starting to shoot them after only a moments confusion, only to be taken by complete surprise as they exploded when they got close enough, taking out a number of them. They were further taken off guard when they were then set upon on all sides by each team, Destra taking out one after another in quick succession in the back, quickly changing positions with each kill. Zever and Loona laid into the right front, Loona backing him up from a good vantage point as he charged in, taking out goon after goon in quick succession.

Havoc and Xera wasted no time, going wild as Xera in manic almost crazed glee mowed down foot soldiers with the various guns she packed, Havoc firing grenades from his launcher for maximum effect, the two never staying in one position for too long, even going so far as to openly fighting them in the open while taunting them as Havoc switched to his sidearms. Carnavont and Azure's daughters meanwhile wasted no time in advancing towards the front entrance, having Shariza and Persephinelle flank him as they downed foot soldier after foot soldier, clearing a path straight to the entrance and moping up as many as they could so they wouldn't be followed when they entered. The task for each team proving to be not too difficult as the foot soldiers were too disoriented and confused to muster a real response to the sudden attack.

Carnavont and Azure's daughters entered the factory, checking and clearing each room and floor as they went, downing any goon they came across. Azure and Persephinelle proved to keep true to their word, they stuck to him and followed his orders with no complaint, they even proved to be quite capable in combat, backing each other and Carnavont up with well trained precision. For daughters of a mob boss, they definitely could carry their own, which was proven with each encounter that they came across. As they were sweeping the building and cleared out more rooms they came across the bodies of Azure's bodyguards and some more of his men like on the other levels, hearing what sounded like him cursing at someone not far off. it didn't take long to find the source of it, which was an office that overlooked the factory, the three barging in and taking everyone in the room by surprise; Carnavont shot a succubus who seemed to be a Lieutenant as Persephinelles and Shariza shot two foot soldiers flanking him.

"Dad!" his daughters exclaimed as they ran to hug a still surprised Azure.

"Shariza, Persephinelle, what the hell are you two doing here?" he asked in bewilderment before narrowing his eyes at Carnavont. "I thought I paid you to keep them safe, is this your idea of doing so, bringing them to a dangerous situation?!"

"It's not like I had a choice in the matter sir, your daughters can be rather persuasive." Carnavont explained. "Made me an offer for a job that I wouldn't exactly be beneficial for me or my business if I declined it."

Azure blinked before looking at his daughters. "Is this true?"

"Yeah." Persephinelle admitted. "We told him he could either accept our job offer or face no payment at all if you ended up dead and retribution from us as the new bosses."

Azure looked at them a moment before laughing. "That's my girls, looks like I've taught you well. Still, that was incredibly dangerous to come here. How did you even know I was in trouble?"

"We were on the way home from the lust ring when we were attacked in an attempted drive by. Carnavont and his team thankfully were quick and skilled enough to evade and deal with them." Shariza explained. "After we got a good look at who they were we tried contacting you but you didn't answer so we knew you had been set up."

"They have strong loyalty and sense of family, I can respect that as I run HOUND with a similar belief." Carnavont commented. "I didn't accept their job because of the lack of real choice, but because I could see the values you instilled in them."

Azure nodded. "A man of respect and integrity, something I can appreciate. I think you've earned your pay for both jobs, and the cars."

"About that…" Carnavont said ever so slightly hesitantly.

"He used them in the attack to rescue you as improvised explosives." Persephinelle explained. "They're quite the resourceful and tactical bunch, even have a handy spell that keeps them in touch with one another mentally instead of using something like a headset."

Azure arched a brow. "You must have made quite the impression on them for such praise." He said as he looked at Carnavont. "And to be honest, you are on me too. I'll give you two more cars sense I said you could have the ones I provided if you did a good job."

"Grazie, but you don't have to." Carnavont said with a slight bow in thanks.

"I insist." Azure pushed.

"Very well, shall we head out of here and rendezvous with my team outside then?" Carnavont asked.

"Yes, I prefer not to stick around here any longer, I need to take stock of who I need to replace and if any of my businesses have been hit, not to mention plan a retaliation." Azure said. "I think our business is concluded as well, so you'll be getting your payment in the coming days."

"Alright, just give me a moment." Carnavont said as he raised a finger. "How are things outside?" He asked his team through their mental link.

"All clear sir." Zever replied as he pulled a knife out of a dead foot soldier.

"Same here on our side." Havoc reported in.

"The back is clear." Destra responded.

"Copy that, rendezvous at the front of the building." Carnavont said, lowering his finger. "Alright, just wanted to make sure my team cleared the area, we're good to move out."

With that the group headed out of the office, heading to the front entrance to meet up with the rest of found. As they neared the entrance Carnavont's ears flicked, hearing the cocking of a gun. He turned just in time to see the lieutenant he had shot early aiming a gun from above. "Get down!" he shouted, pushing Azure and his daughters out of the way, taking a bullet to the shoulder before shooting the succubus in the head, the lieutenant falling down to the bottom floor dead.

"That's twice now you've saved me and my daughters." Azure commented.

"Just doing my duty." Carnavont said as he clutched his shoulder.

"Yes but I said our business was concluded, So as far as I'm concerned you went above and beyond when you didn't have to." Azure stated. "Taking a bullet for us when off the job shows character and is no small gesture."

"It's nothing, really. Like I said, just doing my job." Carnavont insisted.

"Even still, for such an act, I'd be willing to consider you and HOUND like part of the familia." Azure offered.

"A generous offer sir, but I'd have to decline. In our line of work we can't exactly show bias or favoritism, need to remain rather neutral you understand." Carnavont politely declined. "Though I can make an arrangement that I won't take any jobs that target you or your daughters specifically, out of professional courtesy."

Azure narrowed his eyes a bit before laughing, "A man of business to the end, I like and respect that. Still, in a way that would make you honorary members of the familia, in an unofficial capacity. Still, like you said, you need to stay neutral. So long as anything you do is purely out of business I will hold nothing against you."

"Thank you, but it'd be awkward to take a job now that targets you or your daughters specifically." Carnavont commented. "If promising to not take such jobs would make HOUND unofficially tied to the familia, then so be it."

"Very well then. It's good to see some honor and integrity in your line of work." Azure said. "Also, if you ever need a favor, just let me know."

Carnavont nodded. "Will do."

"My daughters will also uphold this arrangement, right?" Azure said as he glanced at them.

"Yes dad." Shariza and Persephinelle replied.

"Good." he smiled before looking at Carnavont. "I must say, you've proved the merit of hellhounds.'

"I just wish proving such to the rest of hell would be as easy. We're natural born like any other demon, we could provide so much more to Hell if we were more than just walking breathing property.'

Azure looked at Carnavont. "You do bring up a good point...hellhounds are as native to Hell as any other demon, definitely stronger than imps…so it is somewhat odd your kind are so low."

"Well it's something I hope to change...or start the process of changing." Carnavont remarked.

Azure nodded. "Well, as an unofficial part of the familia, you will have my support and assistance if needed. I'll also spread word of your effectiveness to help out your business."

"Grazie." Carnavont said as he bowed.

They made their way out of the factory, meeting up with the rest of Carnavont's team and Loona. Destra asked if he was alright, to which he reassured her and the others he was, also explaining the arrangement they now had with Azure. After offering to take on another job of helping Azure retaliate and the mob boss declining after they had done so much, the parties went their separate ways after Persephinelle and Shariza returned the weapons they borrowed. Carnavont, Loona, and the other HOUND members portaled back to the armory, returning the weapons they used and for Carnavont to patch up his shoulder before portaling outside the building and saying their goodbyes.

"Nice job out there, you definitely have potential." Zever commented.

"Yeah, can see why the boss made the offer." Xera chimed in.

"She'd definitely be an asset, shame her current employer isn't taking full advantage of what she can do, and not just as a hellhound." Zever remarked.

Havoc shrugged. "Eh, from what the boss has mentioned, dude's probably too much of a dumb ass."

"it was nice seeing you work out there, you do have a knack for this kinda job." Destra chimed in. "Maybe you'll get to help out again sometime or we can hang out." she offered.

"Thanks." Loona smiled.

"Anyway, see you around." Destra smiled.

"Yeah, see ya." Xera said as she and Destra left, the Havoc and Zever saying their goodbyes as well before leaving, soon leaving Loona and Carnavont by themselves.

"So…" Carnavont said as he looked at Loona. "Still want to stay the night? You don't have to."

Loona smiled with a blush, holding the clothes Destra let her have after she had changed back. "Yeah…" she replied as her tail wagged slightly. "With Blitz and the others staying in Greed it's kind of the best opportunity to, so might as well take advantage. Plus...I kinda liked having someone to sleep with" she admitted as she blushed more.

Carnavont blushed brightly as he smiled, his own tail starting to wag. "Alright…"

The two looked at each other a moment before heading to Carnavont's van, driving back to his home. As they drove back to Carnavont's place, Loona's thoughts once again trailed off to the same thoughts about her and Carnavont she had at the start of the day when heading to his work place, causing her to profusely blush yet again and shake her head to compose herself. She'd be lying if she said such thoughts weren't….appealing, but it was still too soon, especially with how Carnavont was being so nice and respectful. When they got back to Carnavont's home they got out and headed inside, the two making themselves comfortable as they sat on the couch with some beer to unwind from the day.

"That was...exciting." Loona said before drinking some of her beer.

Carnavont slightly chuckled. "Glad you had fun."

"Is it always like that?" Loona asked.

Carnavont shrugged slightly. "Some days are, others are slow or kind of dull due to how easy the job can be."

Loona nodded. "Not too similar from IMP I suppose...though hard for me to know. And even then, we just get by." She mused. "Still, I enjoyed being with your team more than sitting on my ass doing nothing all day. Probably could have gone to Stylish Occult or something, maybe hang out with Octavia, but I'd rather have done something that felt like I actually contributed...was useful." Loona said as she snuggled against Carnavont. "Sure I'm the only one who can use the book, but still…"

"I get you." Carnavont said. "You have talent and promise, and it's clear Blitz is willfully being blind to that for one reason or another. But still, you are being of use to them, even if it's not fully in a way you want or deserve."

Loona sighed. "I know...but I'm good at this, why can't he just see it?"

"Again, he's a willfully blind dumb ass." Carnavont stated very matter of fact. "That, and he clearly wants the full dad experience of first being the protector…though he needs to realize that's not what you need."

"I just hope he does soon...I can't just keep putting up with not being trusted or respected enough to get out there, or have a dating life." Loona said before blushing slightly.

Carnavont blushed a bit, "Well, you have me. And, if he just refuses to acknowledge your potential and can get a fill in...you have HOUND."

"Thanks…" Loona smiled as she kissed his cheek. "By the way, I'm curious...who backs HOUND? I know it's got to be a noble but I'm curious."

"That's...a complicated thing to answer in that you might not believe me if I told you. Plus it's kind of a story in of itself. I could maybe take you to meet them one day when you're free, and tell you the full story of how HOUND came to be. As part of a date." Carnavont offered.

"Sure." Loona smiled, her interest and curiosity peaked.

The two talked some more before getting ready for bed, turning in soon after. As they got in bed they first tried to sleep back to back like last time, only to find themselves cuddled with Carnavont holding Loona before falling fast asleep. When morning came they got up, getting ready for the day. As Carnavont finished fixing them some breakfast he blinked as Loona walked in wearing the uniform Destra gave her.

"You're going to wear that?"Carnavont asked.

"Yeah, at least possibly just long enough to see Blitz's reaction." Loona grinned.

Carnavont couldn't help but chuckle. "Sure that's a good idea?"

"Nope, but honestly with the shit he gives you and letting me be a more involved part of the team I'd say it'd be worth it." Loona replied.

"Fair enough." Carnavont smirked.

After they had breakfast, Carnavont opened up a portal to right outside IMP's headquarters for Loona, the two sharing a quick kiss before she walked through. Walking into the office Loona went immediately to the meeting room, sitting down and pulling out her phone as she propped her legs up, waiting for Blitz and the others to show up. A few hours later she heard the sound of a helicopter, only to see it hover next to the window as a gangplank crashed through the wall. Blitz and the other two walked off It, leaving the helicopter to crash below. They were all dressed in mafia attire too, Loona could only shrug at the sight.

"Well that was fun." Blitz said as he wrapped his arms around Moxxie and Millie.

"I wouldn't exactly call my dad trying to get me back into the family fun sir…" Moxxie commented.

"Well I sure found it fun, especially since now we all fucked the same guy. Even if he was going to back stab your dad and take most the money. Still, the guy had balls for planning to do so, and lying to your dad about about having become a more successful gangster after your dad kicked him out from abandoning you."

"Yeah…" Moxxie sighed. "Not that my dad really cared about me to begin with"

"So what if he despises you now hon?" Millie said as she held Moxxie's cheeks. "You stood up for yourself and I'm proud of you for that. But next time, just say your dad's a psychopath...I can handle it."

"He wasn't exactly always one…" Moxxie remarked.

"So Loonie how was…" Blitz paused as he noticed what she was wearing. "WHAT THE FUCK?!" He seethed in pure anger and shock.

Loona smirked quite smugly as she saw Blitz's reaction. Oh yeah, it was worth it.
