"Before there was life, before there were planets, stars, the cosmos, time, or anything—there was nothing. And before there was nothing, there was war."

Hordes of angels descended from luminescent clouds above as they fought against eldritch legions. Various unknowable abominations and creatures clashed with the angelic beings of heaven. And while they might have seemed on initial glance to be somewhat evenly matched, it was clear that the armies of Heaven had a noticeably large advantage. In spite of that, the legions of the eldritch realm were forever numerous, an endless horde kept only at bay by the holy power that the armies of heaven wielded. It wasn't quite a stalemate, but it wasn't one sided either, as angels were still felled in what would appear to be a war without end. The cacophonous sound of artillery from both sides along with unholy magic clashing against holy heavenly light filled every corner of the spiritual realm that the war took place in.

"Where's the executioners?! We need support!" Barked out a high ranking angel that was leading forces above one of the many stronghold planes that were crafted by the eldritch beings that claimed to be gods.

"We just got word, they're on their way and will be here soon!" Cried out a cherub that was overseeing communications.

Elsewhere, a cherub dressed more like he was in a special unit, though in elegant butler-like attire, quickly made his way through one of the various ethereal clouds that Heaven used as transports for their soldiers., saluting as he entered the command room and faced the back of a chair at the center of it. "Ma'am, we are close to the enemy stronghold."

The figure that sat in it smirked. "Excellent, the fun will soon begin. Have my executioners prepare to aide the forces engaged with the enemy. I shall take care of the entire enemy stronghold myself. Should prove quite the show for everyone, seeing an entire plane of existence wiped out."

"...Of course ma'am." The cherub said before heading off to see his orders through.

"Excellent, then I believe it's time to have some fun…" The woman said as it leaned ever so forward with her upper torso turned ever so slightly to the right as though her body was barely holding back the urge to proceed as her pale gold eyes narrowed in anticipation.

While the angels and eldritch beings clashed, the shadow of the mobile cloud slowly loomed over them, a legion of executioner angels descending to the rejoicing of their brethren and horror of the eldritch forces. Though what caught the eye of all, was the figure that emerged at the top of the battle cloud. A woman, clad in elegant armor-like angelic garb that exuded an eerie yet brilliant radiance that left a feeling of foreboding most who would look upon her countenance. Despite that she was beautiful to behold, long, radiant shoulder length hair, pale gold eyes, and a fair complexion that most agreed rivaled Lucifer's in terms of beauty along with a very shapely figure.

She stood there, smiling ever so much. It was off-putting, even her allies found her smile to be something to be weary of, as the intent behind it wasn't always known. Those not engaged in combat could only watch in awe and horror as with a simple wave of her hand a miasma formed and surged past, enveloping everything behind the eldritch army, deteriorating the very fabric of their plane into nothing. And as she watched the very existence of the eldritch made realm start to collapse and saw the horror on those that observed she could not help but allow herself to laugh, never finding it unamusing.

Amusement was something that was never in short supply. For it didn't matter how many eldritch planes or legions were felled, more would always pop up. That was the true reason for the war having not ended when it had first began; not because of any true strength the eldritch horrors had that put them on par, but because they were truly numerous and quick to replenish. Despite that fact however, slowly it was becoming evident that they were getting ever so less numerous. Not enough to where it would seem they'd be wiped out anytime soon, but enough to where if it continued for as long as it had already, then extinction was a probability.

It went on like this with no change; eldritch planes would rise, they'd gain a bit of ground, but then they'd be snuffed out. No one could tell for how long the war had wage, how could they when such a concept did not exist? Though whether it ended soon or not mattered not to the founder of the executioners, so long as she had her fun. And even if it did, she still had her duty to train more executioners and helping enforce the plan and will of the Almighty. Still, even with that, boredom would find it's way in, mingling with the pride that grew within her.

As the war waged on it got to the point where she and her executioners were not needed as much as they had been, though she was still called upon to utterly destroy the remaining eldritch planes when battles were over. It gave her more time to train more herself and to observe those that had been training while she was out. Like other things she took pride in, she made sure that the training those that potential executioners took was grueling, weeding out those unfit and leaving only those who were truly exceptional and had a proclivity to enjoy fighting.

During one of these instances, she made a point to personally spar with some of her executioners that she had trained from inception. Their fight was intense, yet graceful, the woman's movements fluid and precise. She was a true master of her craft, blocking and countering with an ease that almost bordered on playfulness. As one charged she meerely jutted her palm out, striking his head and sending him flying back. As he flew back another immediately flew in, trying to hit her to no avail before she merely flicked him and sent him onto the ground. Four more flew in simultaneously to try and land a blow, the first trying to come in from behind only for Azrael to nimbly leap up and allow him to get in front before elbowing him on the ground. As the second came in to strike she merely turned slightly to dodge, grabbing her wrist with two fingers and throwing her into another. As the fourth came in with a kick she blocked it with the palm of her hand, quickly striking a few points on the executioner and knocking him unconscious.

More came at her, only for Azrael to grab one by the head and hold them as another grappled her by the shoulders from behind, grabbing and effortlessly bringing the executioner over her shoulders and slamming the two together before delivering graceful kicks to each that sent them flying. For another she delivered a series of fast hits and upper cuts before kicking him to the side. A few more ganged up on Azrael only for them to be quickly knocked out. It was amusing, but still she had yearned for a challenge, someone who could test her to her very limits, someone like the archangel that lead the Great Almighty's armies. Although said archangel was always too busy and saw no point.

As she continued to spar with a few of her executioners to pass the growing boredom, another angel showed up with an ever so brilliant smile. He was beautiful to behold, far more so than any other angel in all of heaven with an equally brilliant radiance, only the woman could equal him in that area. "Well well well, having your usual fun I see...Azrael." the male angel said with an ever so playfully coy tone that carried an undeniable pride.

The woman glanced at him as she effortlessly caught a punch from two of the executioners, a grin forming on her face. "Well if it isn't the oh so glorious great musician of the Big Guy himself. What brings you to my side of Heaven...Lu Lu?" Azrael asked.

"You know I prefer my full name." Lucifer commented. "You're the only one I'd allow to get away with that."

"I know," Azrael grinned. "That's why it's fun." she added before looking at the executioners. "You're free to go." she added. The executioners nodded, heading off to go further hone their skills.

"You didn't have to stop the show on my account." Lucifer commented with his signature smile still present.

Azrael chuckled. "True, I could talk to you and still spar easily without effort, but I figured I'd be polite and give you my full focus."

"Fair enough." Lucifer said as he continued to smile. "So, have you heard the news?"

"What news?" she asked before leading him to room where a tea table sat, motioning him to sit as she did so herself.

"Why the news that God Almighty has deemed it fit to where we will give the Eldritch forces a reprieve." Lucifer informed.

"A cease of hostilities?" Azrael more commented than asked. "I wonder what made him decide to choose leniency." she mused, a well dressed and proper cherub walking up and pouring them some tea.

"Hard to say, but from what I was able to gather, the Big Guy has something planned. Some sort of long reaching goal." Lucifer said as he scooped some sugar in his tea before sipping from it.

Azrael placed a finger to her chin in thought. "I wonder what it could be…"

"Who knows knowing Him, He works in ways far beyond us." Lucifer commented. "Though I'm surprised that you, death herself, did not hear anything about it."

"I've been busy." Azrael retorted. "Besides, you're His great musician, chief among all others and play for His throne, not to mention made more beautiful than any other aside from I. How did you not know more Lu Lu?" she teased.

"You think I'd would. Aside from Michael, no other angel is greater than I." He said before blinking as a sly, playful, smile formed. "Well, and you of course. You do have the ability to end anything, not to mention your prowess in combat. I dare say you and I are among the greatest, if not more so."

Azrael chuckled. "Yes, yes we are. Why I dare say none are greater than us."

"Exactly, we are unlike any angel and above them all." Lucifer smiled. "I have to admit, I don't see many able to even somewhat keep up with you."

"You flatter me." Azrael grinned. "But I'd be lying if I said it wasn't true." She added with a chuckle.

"Modesty isn't your strong suits." Lucifer remarked with a smile.

"Is it yours?" Azrael countered with a grin.

Lucifer laughed heartily, grinning as he looked at Azrael. "No, not really."

Azrael laughed. "And that is why we get along so."

"Yes, yes it is." Lucifer smirked. "Still trying to get Michael to spar with you?" he asked.

"Of course, but he's far too serious. I swear he has no concept of fun." Azrael replied.

"Maybe he's just scared you'll beat him and besmirch his reputation as the great warrior." Lucifer suggested with amusement.

Azrael smirked. "Maybe. I am, after all, death."

"Yes, yes you are." Lucifer smirked, the two of them sharing a laugh.

Like Lucifer had informed her, eventually there was a ceasefire between the two forces that had waged a war unlike any that could ever be fathomed of or witnessed. For whatever reason why God had decided to let the eldritch forces be was unknown to all, especially when Heaven had the clear upper hand. But he declared it so and all of Heaven heeded the decree, the royal family of the eldritch realm not taking this reprieve lightly or for granted. While they were most certainly opposed to the holy forces of Heaven, they were not fools and realized that if things continued on, they would very well likely be wiped out entirely. So, they would use the reprieve given to try and hope they could think of something, anything, that might help them when conflict started anew.

Heaven meanwhile, began to hear murmurings of a grand plan that God had in store. Not one of war or destruction, but creation. Though the specifics of which were unknown to all, including the highest of angels that were near to the throne. It was something that didn't sit quite right for Lucifer who viewed himself on par with, if not greater than Michael. Surely the Lord's great musician, His most beautiful creation and favorite deserved to know.

Azrael meanwhile grew all the more bored as she found not much to do in the ceasefire. The training of new executioners becoming quite mundane as none ever became a challenge for her despite the hands-on training. She was primordial death, the taker of existence of all things. That was an absolut, unchangeable, constant thast would never change. Why, she hardly doubted that Michel himself could truly best her, but at least prove a good enough fight that it MIGHT be a possibility, if he ever agreed to it.

At least she found something to do in becoming the liaison between Heaven and the eldritch realm, the fearful awe and reverence brought her amusement. They'd treat her as though she were God himself in terms of bending over backwards to keep things agreeable and her happy. It was something she grew more accustomed to.

She was, after all, the founder of the executioners and the ender of all things. It was only right they treat her as such. Not that she was vain about it. No, that was more likely of Lucifer. This was just a simple matter of fact and nothing more.

There was one thing though, a messenger was sent to her directly from God informing her that she would soon have a lot of responsibility thrust upon her for a time. But after things were done, her duties would no longer be needed and neither would she be in Heaven.

Eventually, all the angels were summoned close to the throne to observe the start of God's grand plan. Azrael and Lucifer watched on as God introduced the concept of time, something that none of the angels could truly conceive or comprehend at first. Then God set about making the stars, galaxies, and all of space, taking a full what were called days to do each.

The following day God crafted moons and suns and every planet. Then the Lord set forth crafting one world in particular, giving it oceans and continents, skies of day and night, and living creatures that had no name. Finally he did something no angel, not even Azrael or Lucifer thought he would ever do, he made something in his very image and called it Adam, and not long after a companion for him named Eve.

And while almost every angel in Heaven was in curious awe of God's creation of man, Lucifer was all but happy. As for Azrael, she found her dominion of death expanded. Whereas it had once been limited to only those of the eldritch realm. With the exception of the odd angel that had died during the war, it now suddenly included…everything that God had created.

Well, not exactly. The newly created humans didn't feel tied to her, nor everything else. Yet, she could see the end of it all. The end of the newly created humans, all of their creations, and of...herself. And that, that was something she could not in the least be happy with.

But what could she do? Even though she was death, a primordial force with no real equal to her in terms of angels or anything else. She was still under God, and He had no rival, no equal. So, what else xould she do but set her heart to having as much fun as she could before it all came to an end. Who knows, maybe something could come of it all, though she doubted it. Regardless, from that moment forward she was going to take any opportunity she pleased, including the prior offers of power from the Von Eldritch royalty.

"How could He do such a thing?" Lucifer remarked as he had tea with Azrael. "And to deem them higher than us! Us, his first and greatest creation, laughable!"

"It is absurd isn't it?" Azrael mused. "They seem like such fragile things, despite having everything they need and endless life." she added before sipping her tea.

"Well whatever he intends with them, I doubt it'd be as great as with us." Lucifer mused. "Why, if I were God-"

"If you were God?" Azrael asked with an amused look.

"Yes, if I was God. I am the greatest of his creations, the most beautiful...present company excluded, and most clever and cunning, the most intelligent; I am in my right to think such. And what of you? You are equally qualified."

"I suppose I am, aren't I?" Azrael grinned.

Exactly." Lucifer said as he stood up, flying over to the edge of the cloud Azrael called her owm with the angel of death following. Landing he looked down upon the Earth and the section of land that the first humans were on called Eden. "Why should they be above us? Why should He alone be the only one to get worship and praise when we are so deserving, being just as great and spiritual beings as well? Wouldn't it be nice if we too were praised for what we are? Am I not perfect, on par with Him?"

"It would be nice, wouldn't it? To receive adoration and devotion?" Azrael mused with a grin.

"Then shall we?" Lucifer asked.

"Just us?" Azrael asked.

"I've talked to a number of others, they would follow. Bel is willing just so she can have no responsibilities. Beelzebub is almost convinced, but the prospect of an unending source of whatever she desires is swaying her. As for Asmodeus, well, seeking out new pleasures and no longer being constrained has convinced him. Mammon just wants the opportunity to gain more stuff. And as for Leviathan, they see as I do."

"Sounds like you've been planning this for a while." Azrael mused.

"I might have...entertained the notion during the war and after it. It didn't take too much convincing." Lucifer commented. "And what of your executioners? Or have I signed my own death warrant, my friend?"

Azrael chuckled. "Worry not, you haven't. I have grown too bored and I seek new entertainment. Seeing what may come of this may fulfill that. Plus, I've grown to want such as you as well with my visits to the eldritch realm and how they treat me." She explained. "As for my executioners, I have trained them ti be loyal, so we will have to contend with them."

"You would wipe them out?" Lucifer inquired.

"Certainly not!" Azrael replied with slight offense. "They are my creation and I would just...make them see differently when all is said and done. I'll send them away on a fool's errand when the time comes."

"I see." Lucifer smiled.

"And of the humans?" Azrael asked. "How shall we get them to give us praise?"

"God told them to not eat of the tree of good and evil. I shall merely use that to my advantage and...suggest otherwise. He said they would die if they did, but he wouldn't kill his favored creations so soon. No, it would just means they'll be put under the influence of not being immortal...under you."

Azrael grinned. "To have sway over what has been created….I like that."

"I thought you might." Lucifer said before he let out a sigh. "Look at how they crawl around, upon the ground, like little ants." He began to sing.

Azrael smirked. "Yes but how they fascinate, confusing what will be their choice with fate or chance!"

Lucifer grinned. "Isn't it a laugh?"

"Isn't it a shame?" Azrael sang with a grin.

"Never thinking that there will be someone in heaven to blame." Lucifer sang as he moved behind Azrael to his other side.

"Yes, but even while blaming chance for the lives that they'll lead, they will hope for the lives that they need." Azrael sang as she kept track of Lucifer.

"They'll live every day, till the day they die." Lucifer sang as he quickly thrust his cane forward and back in empasis. "Never getting answers—"

"But still asking why." Azrael sang as she gently pushed him back. "They'll go through the motions for their reward."

"While we will be eternally ignored!" Lucifer sang as he got back close to Azrael.

Azrael and Lucifer took each other by the arm as they began to dance. "They're only human, they don't see, that who they are is who they will always be. Only human, after all!" they sang in unison as they danced.

Lucifer grinned. "So they'll push and they'll shove."

"With desiring nothing but love." Azrael sang with a grin of her own.

"Even as they fall!" The two sang as they simultaneously moved their bodies away in a graceful motion, sticking their free hands up in the air before fully separating.

"Isn't it a farce?" Lucifer sang as he leaned on his cane.

"Isn't it a waste?" Azrael sang back as she floated upside down facing him.

"Their prayers and devotions being so misplaced!" They sang together.

"Yes but maybe that praise can be shifted to us." Lucifer suggested in song as he grinned.

"Oh wouldn't that be glorious?" Azrael sang with a dark grin.

Lucifer and Azrael once more began to dance together, singing in unison with wicked glee. "They're only human, standing still, they'll be doomed to fall and always will. Only human, after all."

They parted once more, Lucifer using a bit of cloud to form miniature humans squabbling. "They will give and they will take."

"Hoping that anything will hopefully break their fall!"Azrael sang.

"They will pray, curse, live, die. Never knowing that my truths were all a grand lie!" Lucifer in wicked delight sang.

Azrael smirked. "Eat, sleep, love, hate, they'll be like candles in the wind."

"And we'll watch them all frantically vacillate!" the two sang together before starting to dance together for a final time as they sang. "They're only human, they won't see. All the praise they'll give to you and me. Only human, after all."

"So they'll give and we'll take!" Azrael sang in gleeful expectation.

"Till their little hearts break!" Lucifer encouraged.

"Looking down from above, I desire all their devotion and love!" Azrael declared as she sang.

"So let's have it all…." She and Lucifer sang.

When they had finished singing, Azrael smirked as she looked at Lucifer. "So, when you planning on your big move?"

"Soon." Lucifer replied.

"Well, give me a bit, I want to get some things before we begin." Azrael requested.

"Of course, just let me know when you are ready and have sent the executioners away." Lucifer requested. "I should have everyone willing to follow fully committed relatively soon….give or take a few years."

Azrael nodded. "Excellent." She smirked.

After Lucifer had left to attend to his duties, Azrael began putting things in order herself. She set about immediately putting one of her more prominent executioners in charge as she herself took an extended leave to "check up on" the Von Eldritch royalty and the rest of the eldritch realm. Because there was no need for her to attend to her domain due to the ceasefire and the immortality of those in Heaven, no one questioned it.

Azrael spent the next few years of the mortal realm studying all that the Von Eldritch's and their high ranking priests and sorcerers could offer, taking to it quickly. She worked tirelessly, drinking in the forbidden knowledge, relishing it's dark macabre appeal. Those in the Eldritch realm were impressed to the degree of how quickly she took to their dark arts; though they were quick to reason that, as death, it was only natural she'd be the master of all things. They even granted her an honorary position as one of the highest figures in their realm, on par with the royal family themselves.

When Azrael returned it was not long before Lucifer let her know that the time for his ascension to higher glory was nigh. And while his thinking amused her, Azrael still wanted to watch it play out, even partake in it for sport. Who knew, maybe this would finally get that uptight Michael to finally give her a fight. So, as she had said, she sent forth all her executioners on various drills and exercises to keep them away.

It wasn't long before a higher up Cherubim came flying as fast as he could to Azrael in a panic. "Azrael there's a rebellion! We need your executioners!" The cherub shouted as he looked at the back of Azrael who was standing outside of the training facility of her section of heaven.

"Oh, is that so?" Azrael asked in an eerily calm, playful tone.

"Yes! Lucifer has rounded a third of heaven and is attempting a coupe!" The cherub explained before blinking as he looked about. "Where...where is everyone?"

"Why, I sent them away." Azrael replied with a eerily friendly smile that seemed more dark than pleasant.

"Sent them...away?" The cherub asked in growing unease as Azrael cracked her neck, leaning her head to the left and then the right.

"Yes, didn't want them spoiling all the fun." The angel of death stated as she turned around and leaned down toward the Cherub, the expression on her face like that of a predator who was looking at cornered helpless pray. The signature smirk of hers sending chills down the cherub.

"Y-you too?!" the cherub explained, only to cry out in pain as Azrael sent a narrow beam of augmented eldritch energy through his shoulder.

"In a sense, yes." Azrael said with a wide sly grin. "Now, run along and get someone worth my time."

The cherub quickly fled in terror, clutching his shoulder as he flew. Azrael simply smirked as she proceeded to turn her head and look out and watch as she saw Lucifer and his allies battle in the distance. She'd have joined the fray as well, but this was all just amusement for her, she had seen the end. And while she was more than willing to have her fun, she wasn't about to actively go out of her way to attack her former allies…yet.

Azrael watched and waited, taking in battle that was just barely visible from afar with a keen and analytical seriousness. It wasn't long before a golden haired archangel descended along with a contengent of other angels behind him. "Ah, Gabriel, decided to pay me a visit did you? Not exactly the archangel I was expecting." Azrael said as she continued to watch the battle, not paying the archangel all that much attention.

"What's this I hear about you in league with the betrayer?" Gabriel asked. "I do hope this isn't one of your...jokes, as you put them."

"Joke? I assure you that while I do have the proclivity to have, unique humor, this is no joke. Although I wouldn't say I'm fully in league either." Azrael explained in a very matter of fact tone. "While I do have the desire to be worshiped, I know there's no surpassing HIM."

Gabriel looked at Azrael with hurt eyes. "So you do admit to treason. You were among some of the greatest, the founder of the executioners, you stood below only we archangels and the Almighty Himself! Why?!" Gabriel asked.

"Why?" Azrael asked, taking but a brief moment as her stern gaze shifted from the battle to him as her head turned ever so slightly in his direction. "Why, for fun." she stated simply. "I might as well have all the fun I can, gaining worshipers and the like before I'm thrown out and discarded. Can't have death where everyone is eternal and immortal after all."

"But so are you!" Gabriel exclaimed. "You are as timeless as any angel and the Almighty. Just because death will be done away with doesn't mean you will be! I'm sure if you repent and help; explain your feelings, you will not just be forgiven, but it will be explained that you won't actually cease to be!"

"That's not how I have seen it Gabriel, and I mean that literally. So, I'm going to have my fun. Besides…" Azrael said as she grinned wickedly. "I've already gone quite far in my betrayal, let me show you."

Azrael began to channel the eldritch power that she had acquired, corrupting her once holy being. What was once holy and just now turning into something demonic and dark as her body changed. The process seemed to cause pain as she left the Holy power that she once had in conjunction with her domain over death, abandoning it in favor this new corrupted power.

She grabbed the sides of her head, eyes closing tight as she physically morphed. Her head morphed into that akin to a bat as her limbs similarly turned. Where she once had only one set of eyes another formed, splitting out from and moving above the first as a fifth eye formed on her forehead. Her once radiant hair turning a necrotic green as two bestial heads formed in it

"By the Almighty…" Gabriel said in shocked horror as he watched.

When all was said and done Azrael stood up straight, all her eyes now opening to reveal fully static white sclera and nothing else as a grin formed on her mouth, showing newly formed fangs. "Well, shedding my angelic form hurt like…" she thought a moment. "Huh, not sure if there's a word for that, oh well. So, what do you think?" Azrael asked as she moved her hands along her form. "I do rather like it, but I think I'll keep my options open, variety is the spice of existence after all. Thankfully, this new form will allow changing my appearance into anything I want to be easy."

Gabriel drew his sword, pointing it at Azrael with determined righteous anger. "You are truly lost, and will be punished accordingly just like Lucifer and his ilk!" the archangel declared.

"You weren't exactly the archangel I was hoping for, but you will do for a warm up I guess." Azrael grinned.

With that, Azrael flew towards Gabriel and the angels behind him with wicked, gleeful laughter. Gabriel readied himself to strike Azrael only for her to fly up higher and over him and land in the midst of the angels under him with a wicked, playfully smug, grin. Azrael immediately set out striking them with corrupted energy, hitting some in the chests as others flew back in panic. Azrael smirked devilishly as she looked Gabriel right in the eyes, sending more corrupted energy into the chests of his men. It didn't matter how they tried to get out of the way, they wound up being hit. Azrael only laughed with sadistic glee, eyes still locked on Gabriel. "So what do you think? Still at a loss for words for my stunning new look?!" she taunted as those she hit fell to the ground.

Gabriel gritted his teeth. "I knew you were...different, but this is monstrous!"

Azrael only looked at him with a sadistically wicked grin as like a predator with it's prey."Get her!" the rest of Gabriel's men yelled, charging her all at once. She merely struck one with the palm of her hand, stopping him before quickly striking them with a finger and injecting them with a volatile amount of corrupted energy, leaving them to wonder if she did anything for a moment after she finished before it exploded and they collapsed to the ground.

"That's enough!" Gabriel roared as he charged at Azrael, going for a swing with his sword only for Azrael to block it just barely with her arm with a grin.

"Well, maybe I wrote off the rest of you archangels a little." Azrael commented with amusement. "Perhaps this will be fun."

"This is not a game!" Gabriel yelled with indignation.

Azrael chuckled. "Oh, but it is to me. At least, until I can finally find someone worthy of me getting more serious."

Gabriel snarled slightly as he went at Azrael anew with righteous anger, making sure to not let it cloud his thought. The two went at each other for a bit, Azrael having to put in a bit more effort to block and dodge, but still keeping a light playfulness to it. For her part, her strikes and attacks towards Gabriel never felt like they had the intent to seriously harm, as though she didn't fully see him worth that much effort. Gabriel and her were locked in a struggle with the archangel trying to push his sword through a block when something caught both his and Azrael's eye, the sight of a figure falling like lightning down from heaven along with a number of angels.

"Well, looks like Lulu bit off more than he could chew, as expected." Azrael smirked. "I wonder who sent him packing."

"Michael was tasked with dealing with him." Gabriel replied. "I see he had no issue."

Azrael chuckled. "Figures, Lu Lu was always all talk, not being a fighter and all. Well I think I'm done here." Azrael said as she pushed Gabriel's sword to the side and standing in a relaxed manor.

Gabriel blinked in stunned confusion. "What?" He asked in disbelief.

"I'm done here, there's no point in continuing to fight you." Azrael stated. "Lu Lu never stood a chance and I was in it for the amusement. I could keep fighting you and then Michael, but there would be no point. So I'm done."

"After what you've done you decide to stop, just like that?!" Gabriel asked, his anger growing.

"Just like that." Azrael said as she rested her hands behind her back. "Besides, the real show is not for some time." She grinned.

Gabriel looked at her as he tried to make sense out of her actions. He was about to say something, gripping his sword tighter as he thought about continuing to try and strike her when a bright light suddenly shone on him. "Calm down Gabriel, it is over." came a mighty voice.

"Lord?!" Gabriel exclaimed as he looked up at the light.

"Azrael has surrendered, and as death I still have use for her in my plan." God said.

"...As you say Lord." Gabriel relented as he sheathed his sword.

The light then moved to Azrael. "Azrael, you are hence forth to be removed from Heaven, joining Lucifer and his followers in Hell."

"Hell?" Azrael asked with some intrigue.

"A plane I created for them to reside, for now." God explained.

"Well now, I think that was the word I was looking for to explain how my rebirth felt." Azrael said with a grin. "Send me down then, I'll make sure that he doesn't get too...testy." She chuckled.

"If I may…" Said a cherub that walked up. He was clad in elegant butler-like attire, though it was clearly a service uniform of the executioners. "Might I join my lady?"

Azrael looked at the cherub. "You wish to damn yourself to be with me?"

"I have served you and wish to continue to do so until the very end. I see it as my duty to be at your side no matter what." he explained.

Azrael smirked. "Well, if that is what you want, though it's not for me to decide...Skittle."

Skittle looked up at the light. "Lord, would you allow?"

"...Very well." God replied.

Azrael smiled. "Come along skittle."

"Yes ma'am." Skittle said as he joined her at her side in the light. The light flashed quickly before Azrael began to descend from Heaven with Skittle, her removal a bit more respectful. As she descened, she grinned at Gabriel. "I'll be seeing you and Michael one day, give him my regards." And with that, she soon joined Lucifer and the other fallen angels in Hell.

When Azrael arrived she saw that most of the other fallen angels had taken on similar animal based looks. Except for Lucifer and Lilith, which didn't surprise her as both were too prideful in their looks and status to let themselves be transformed by their fallen nature. Seeing the native imps she turned to Skittle, infusing him with corruption and transforming him into a winged skeletal one.

It didn't take long for Lucifer to set up Hell the way he wanted it for his amusement. He had decided that if he wasn't going to have Heaven, he would mold Hell into a paradise for himself and those that followed him. They would watch the suffering of not just the natives of the plane, but those Lucifer now sat his eye on to have for himself, the humans. It would be an endless circus, a monument to depravity and self fulfillment, and each of the major players in his rebellion would have their own ring where their specialized aspects would be put to use to further humanity's fall throughout the ages.

Afterwards Lucifer went to Earth, tricking the first humans into eating the forbidden fruit, causing them to be vulnerable to him and subject to going to hell where he would have his fun with them. And to ensure as many of them as possible would go to hell he would deceive them. Subtly guiding them in their corrupted mortal bodies to seek their own enlightenment and knowledge. Edging them on as they paved the way to their downfall themselves through their own self beliefs.

He wouldn't have to do much, just have him and those under him slowly slip into the shadows as the humans progressed in their knowledge and own understandings. Twisting their fallen hearts and minds as they continued to seek what they had lost or could not understand what they had been separated from. They would never be satisfied, not in knowledge or even their own feelings or skin.

To that end laws were set in place. That as the humans increasing intelligence and new means of thought and belief about their existence and fulfillment increased, he and all those under him would slip further into the background until no one believed. To that end, as it became more the case, the law would have severe consequences if broken.

For if he was to gain God's beloved creations, he needed to be cunning and subtle, and so did those under him. And while the rules were sparse, the likes of Caim of the Ars Goetia was entrusted with setting up various enforcers for each ring so that Lucifer's and the other rulers' laws were enforced. Furthermore, Lucifer entrusted Azrael herself to start the building of relations with the Eldritch realm, having her be an ambassador for hell until he had a means to cement an alliance between them.

It was as Azrael had seen it to be so far. She watched on with amusement and slight boredom as her part in Hell was assured without question. None could touch her and even Lucifer and his family made it a point to see her as equal as they could. So as the years passed, she watched and waited, doing her duties as she waited for something to catch her eye or for the day where she could fight Michael would possibly come, even taking on a new name from one of the civilizations that worshiped her; Camazotz.

"And that, my dear, is the great fall, at least from my perspective." Camazotz said as the illusion of the last thing she was present for dropped, the room once more becoming her throne room.

"…Wow." Octavia said as she looked at Camazotz. "So, that's what happened?"

"Yes." Camazotz smiled.

"It was interesting to see the events that led to Hell's creation, and your past." Stella commented.

"Yes well, I hope I made it engaging enough." Camazotz smiled.

"You did." Octavia replied.

Stella nodded. "I agree."

"Excellent. Now then, shall we have some tea?" Camazotz inquired. "I do have some ideas of things we can do if you plan to stay the full weekend."

"I'd...like that." Octavia admitted.

"Splendid! We'll have such fun together, my duties aside of course." Camazotz chuckled.

With that, the three headed off from Camazotz's throne room to a more relaxing area oi her estate. Stella herself couldn't believe that Octavia was taking to Camazotz as she was, though she wasn't going to question it and chopped it up to being introduced to her in a more appropriate manner. She just hoped that things kept going as smoothly as they were—and that her husband would die soon. If not, she'd just have to go through divorce, get what she can, then try to kill him.

While she was still somewhat hesitant, Octavia had to admit that Camazotz wasn't really all that bad, especially for death herself. She half expected death to be dreary and too serious, if not all together someone similar to her uncle or grandfather. But she was pretty nice, and fun to be around despite her more...unsettling aspects. Still, Octavia had to admit that she was having fun. She also hoped that she could stay the full weekend if they could, anything to not be around her uncle. Octavia just hoped that when all was said and done her parents would hopefully one day be actually civil with each other.
