Octavia made her way through the Palace, taking note of how opulent and regal it looked, perhaps this was her grandfather's main palace. But then again, given her lack of interactions with them after she was no longer a hatchling, it was had to tell. Still, even with it's grandeur and regalness, it still felt as though it were nothing compared to the two palaces of Camazotz that she had seen. Octavia still found it odd that her mother wanted to keep the whole thing with her and Camazotz a complete secret, but she wasn't going to question what was likely a move to avoid more drama.

As Octavia walked she looked around, there were Goetian guards about, Goetian servants, and the occasional imp doing the most menial of work but no real sign of anyone else that came. She supposed that everyone that was summoned didn't bring their kids, something that didn't quite surprise her in the slightest. After all, they were nobility, why would they bring their kids when they'd likely be either taken care of by servants or doing their own thing? Which begged the question of why she was even here. Sure she had wanted to try and be a bit more of a daughter that her mother would want after Stella had been so unexpectedly motherly, but was there really any point at all to her being here if there was no one her age to socialize with?

"Hello there, never seen you before, who might you be?" came a voice that drew the attention of Octavia, the voice belonging to a male crested serpent eagle eagle type Goetia around her age. His voice seemed...rather snooty, with attire to match.

"Oh, umm, Octavia…" The owl demon replied.

The male Goetia blinked. "Ah, so you're Paimon's granddaughter?" He asked.

"Yeah." Octavia confirmed. "Who are you?" She asked.

"I am Vekis, grandson of king Zagan." Vekis introduced himself. "I must say, for Paimon's granddaughter you certainly have an...interesting choice in attire."

Octavia arched an eyebrow at the other Goetia, despite her already growing unfavorable opinion of Vekis she was willing to give him at least a bit of a chance. Besides, given how her mother still behaved around others, perhaps he was friendlier with those he actually knew. He did keep calling her Paimon's granddaughter after all, perhaps he just assumed she thought herself better than everyone else and too special to be dressed like them. She never interacted with other Goetian children after all, so perhaps giving them a bit of a chance to get to know her would possibly lead to some friendships through shared disliking of their parents expectations and hoity toitiness. Although as she thought that, the irony of that statement given how she was trying to reciprocate her mother's new found motherliness by being more of a proper daughter was not lost on her."

"Thanks…?" Octavia replied somewhat hesitantly. "It's just that my mum and dad didn't really want to force me to wear the typical thing, rather let me choose to." She explained.

"Hmm, I see…" Vekis remarked.

"Ah, there you are Vekis." Another male Goetia that was a buteogallus type around the same age said as he walked up, pausing as he noticed Octavia. "Who is this?"

"This is Paimon's granddaughter, Octavia…" Vekis replied.

The other Goetia arched a brow before looking at Octavia. "I see…" He said as his eyes looked her over. "She does have an...interesting attire." The Goetia remarked.

'OK...so that's two now.' Octavia thought to herself. "And you would be?" She asked, choosing to ignore the remark for the very same reason of NOT wanting to automatically go on a cynical berating of the two like she did of Loo Loo land on the off chance that much like her mother, they were just stand offish until they knew someone.

"Zaven." The Goetia introduced himself. "I am the grandson of king Belial." Zaven added. "What brings you to here, I don't seem to recall ever seeing you at any gatherings."

"I've never really been to any of the gatherings or around other Goetia children…" Octavia admitted. "I just thought that it might be time I tried to be around others…maybe make some friends since I've never really had any. Well, until recently." She explained.

"Oh, any one we might know?" Vekis inquired.

"I...don't think you would." Octavia replied, causing the two to look at her curiously.

"Are they that extended in the upper ranks of the Goetias?" Zaven asked.

"They're uh...not Goetias…" Octavia admitted, Zaven and Vekis arching their brows once more.

"Are they Succubi or Incubi?" Zaven inquired. "I assume you might at least know some celebrities, even if they're not well known yet."

"They're...hellhounds." Octavia replied.

"Oh…" Vekis commented. "So you're friends with your servants…"

"No, they're not my servants." Octavia clarified. "Although oddly they all work for two different assassination services." As she saui that, the surrealness of having ties to two assassination businesses hit her. It was weird, but on the bright side, IF she ever needed something like that in the future she did know some people, not that she would. But as Camazotz pointed out, she did have to come to terms with what she was eventually. "Perhaps you've heard of them, IMP and HOUND?"

"Ah, commoners…" Zaven remarked. "How...quaint."

"Now now, she did say they were in the assassination business, so they do have some merit to them." Vekis said as she shot a quick look to Zaven, one Octavia gad a hard time reading.

"Riiight." Zaven said as he suddenly put on a friendly smile. "Although I don't think I've heard of either business."

"Me either." Vekis said before looking to Octavia with a smile as well. There was something about the way both smiled, something that made Octavia unsure about their intentions as they were hard to read. "To have only made friends recently, you must have been engrossed with your studies and training." He mused.

"I...well…I haven't really done any studying or practice with magic, although I should be starting in a few days." Octavia admitted.

"You haven't done any studying at all?" Zaven inquired.

"No…" Octavia once more admitted.

The two other Goetias again exchanged a quick glance that Octavia couldn't really read. "So you've been...sheltered for lack of a better word." Vekis inquired.

"Pretty much, though it's also because I kinda didn't...want to be around others mostly because of my parents…" Octavia explained.

"Understandable enough." Zaven remarked before he and Vekis shared a look and then smiled at her. "You said you were looking to change that though correct?"

"Yeah…" Octavia answered.

The two smiled all the more as Vekis went to put an arm around her shoulders. "Then let us help with that, you seemed to be looking for others around here and we can introduce you to some that are here…" Vekis offered.

"Yeah, we can even put in a good word for you." Zaven remarked with as he continued to smile.

Octavia blinked as she looked at the two, something felt off but she was just hoping it was just her cynical nature getting the better of her. "You...would?" She asked.

"But of course!" Vekis grinned. "You are Paimon's granddaughter after all, the king of all Goetias, it would be an honor…"

"Oh it most certainly would." Zaven echoed with his own grin.

Again, they refer to her as Paimon's granddaughter, they hadn't once said anything in regards to her father or mother. Perhaps it was just that he commanded the Ars Goetia like they said and this was seen more of as an honor. "O...K…" Octavia agreed with ever so much hesitation.

"Splendid!" Vekis said cheerily. "Then follow us, we'll get you good and acquainted…" He added as he kept his arm around her.

Octavia smiled ever so slightly, just enough to not show her skeptical caution and weariness. After all, despite the fact that she had a rather sketchy feeling about them, there was once again the example of her mother that made her at least want to give them one chance. Sure, she could say no thank you, try to get out, anything. But she was having a hard time finding anyone in this large palace, almost as large as Camazotz', so if there was even a slight chance they were going to actually do as they say and she wouldn't spend as long looking foolish as she searched for others then she should take it. Although there was the ever present thought at the back of Octavia's mind that was telling her that she was likely going to regret agreeing to this, but what other real choice did she have?

The three made there way through the palace as Vekis and Zaven lead Octavia along it's opulent and grand halls. As they walked the two made sure to so what they could to put Octavia at ease, saying that it'd be fun and that she will have a fun time meeting some of their friends. Vekis saying That while there were more children of those at the gathering, that if she wanted to make the best impression possible that it was for the best to meet their friends first so she could have enough of a notable friend group around her when she meets the others to be welcomed openly. Zaven meanwhile seemed to be texting some others, Vekis remarking that he was telling the others to meet them at a room in the palace where they could talk in private. Although Octavia did have a weird feeling as it seemed like Zaven was texting a bit more than that, though she couldn't see what.

As they continued on their way through the palace they eventually came to some doors that were in a not as guarded area. "Well, here we are, a nice private place for you to get to know some of our friends who are as well regarded as we are." Vekis said with a smile.

"Was somewhere this far away really necessary?" Octavia asked as she arched a brow. "Surely somewhere closer to the others would have been sufficient." She added, making sure to show she wasn't oblivious.

"Well, sure, but this is more of a...initiation, a right of passage to someone like you who is just now able to be among us." Zaven replied. "And think of this as a safe and controlled environment where you can practice talking to others of our kind. Once you get along with them it's just a simple matter of walking back with all of us to meet the rest and have an easier time of being welcomed." He further explained.

"Exactly." Vekis nodded. "We are thinking only in your best interest and how to best help you mingle among us since you've not done so before. After all, it is called baby steps for a reason." He argued.

Octavia arched a brow, though she couldn't really argue their logic completely. For someone like her who had NEVER associated with other Goetias a controlled environment like this was a great way to start and get friends that could help her with integrating with the others here or other places. It really wasn't all that different from parents setting up play dates with others that were generally kept to one or two to four others at a time. The fact alone she just thought of that similarity made her cringe ever so slightly, if only because it made what she was going through right now seem like a play date of sorts. As Zaven opened the door they stepped through to a rather large empty room that was almsy like a throne room, six more male Goetias around her age standing in it.

"Allow us to introduce you to Galphor the grandson of king Baal, Vilius the grandson of king Balam, Astravos the grandson of duke Crocell, Uliath the grandson of duke Berith, Ferrinax the grandson of Bune, and Erathius the grandson of duke Amdusias." Zaven said as he introduced Octavia to each of them after the door shut behind them.

"Hello…" Octavia said as she raised her hand in greeting, her voice cautious yet ever so slightly hopeful. She still didn't have the greatest of feelings about this, and was still thinking she probably should have found a way to excuse herself from Vekis and Zaven, but she really what were her other options instead of awkwardly finding the other kids her age that were there or getting in touch with Camazotz to leave? Had it not been for the effort her mother had been giving to be closer to her, she would have done everything she could have to just leave or get away from them. Hell, she would have laid into the two, but if her mother showed there was more to her, she at least owed them ONE chance to show they did as well.

"Greetings, it's so good to finally meet you." Galphor greeted with a smirk as he bowed, the male Goetia was of the appearance of a great horned owl.

Vilius, a Canada goose type, smirked as well as he bowed in kind. "Yes, ever so good to finally see the esteemed daughter of the greatest...embarrassment to the Goetias." He said as he all the others chuckled. "You must be oh so proud of daddy dearest, how he not only has no sense of pride or standards and is so pathetic he got easily bested by a mere assassin."

"Oh, but let's not forget the fact that she doesn't know ANY magic." Uliath, a secretary bird type, commented.

"Must be why she wound up on Earth without knowing how to disguise herself apparently by mistake, what a joke." Erathius, a Raggiana bird type, remarked. "Honestly, she sounds even more pathetic than her father."

"Well that is why Goetias usually have two children, and why they only teach the daughters when absolutely necessary." Astravos, a swan type, mocked.

"With some exception of course, but really that's all their best at generally." Ferrinax, an auger buzzard type Goetia, remarked. "Still, she is a massive disappointment."

Octavia's heart sank as they started to mock her, she absolutely knew this was a bad idea and would curse herself for going along with it, and she was absolutely right. She hated herself for just not going with Vekis and Zaven, for not trying to tell them to sod off as soon as she got a not great feeling about them, but she just HAD to foolishly hope that it was just her over cynical nature getting the better of her. She watched as they all mocked her and her father, slowly trying to back up and turn around to hopefully get out of the room.

"Ah Ah, you're going nowhere." Vekis said as he and Zaven blocked the door.

"Let me go!" Octavia demanded. "It's clear all you want to do is feel better about your sad pathetic lives, but you're not going to get it from me."

"Oh ho, she has a bit of spunk." Zaven chuckled.

"Shame she hasn't anything to back it up with." Vekis remarked. "To think she assumes this is about our egos."

"I said let me leave!" Octavia shouted as she tried to throw a punch, only for it to stop mid way to Vekis' face as it was engulfed in a magical aura.

"You didn't say please." Zaven grinned as he flicked a finger, sending the fist and Octavia flying onto her back.

"How pathetic, if you were a proper Goetia you would have ensured that didn't happen." Vilius remarked before he and the others laughed.

Octavia grimaced as she slowly tried to get off her back. "You have no right to-"

"No right?" Vekis asked mockingly.

"We have every right to do this and whatever we please to such embarrassments, to the offspring of traitors." Zaven remarked. "And do you know why?" He asked as he and Vekis grinned wickedly as the others made a circle.

"By the authority of Paimon!" Vekis and Zaven chanted in unison as they conjured a silhouette of the king.

"Baal…" Vekis chanted as he conjured a silhouette of him on the wall.

"Baleth…" Zaven chanted, conjuring a silhouette of the king on one side of Paimon's silhouette.

"Purson.." Vekis continued to chanted, another silhouette appearing on the other side of Paimon's silhouette.

"Vine…" Zaven continued as another silhouette appeared.

"Zagan…" Vekis kept chanting.

"Belial…" Zaven chanted.

"Balam…" Vekis said.

"Asmodeus…" Zaven chanted.

"Amdusias…" Vekis continued to chant

"Astaroth…" Zaven continued.

"Berith…" Vekis chanted.

"Bune…" Zaven chanted.

"Aim…" Vekis kept chanting.

"Vepar…" Zaven continued to chant.

"Focalor…" Vekis continued.

Vual…" Zaven chanted.

"Crocell…" Vekis chanted.

"Gusion…." Zaven chanted.

"Barbatos…" Vekis chanted.

"Dantalion…" Zaven chanted.

"Paimon…" Vekis chanted.

Vekis and Zaven began to chant the names faster as the others kept a close perimeter around Octavia, making sure she couldn't get fully up as their chanting grew faster and faster as the others ominously stood over her until Vekis and Zaven culminated the chanting of the twenty one one names with how they went right back to Paimon. "So you think your birth means you'd have friends in high places…" He began to sing as the others lifted Octavia to her feet while he walked up to her. "with the status to put us on even ground?" Vekis sang, shoving Octavia towards Zaven.

"Well forgive us these smiles on our faces…" Zaven joined in as they all grinned wickedly. "You'll know what status is when we are done…" He continued as he walked around to be behind her.

"Son…" Vekis and Zaven mocked, each having their heads on either side of Octavia's, holding her by the arms before pushing her towards the other six male Goetias who chuckled wickedly.

"You're playing with the big boys now…" Astravos sang as he used his magic to lift Octavia up and hang her upside down, only for Vilius to take over control and bring her to him.

"You're playing with the big boys now…" Vilius sang as he spun her around rapidly.

"Oh isn't she pretty?" Astravos mocked as he used his magic to bring some dirt from a nearby potted plant and smeared it on her.

"Every spell and gesture, tells you who's your better." Galphor sang as he took hold of Octavia with his magic and simply pressed her flat against the floor as he, Vilius, Astravos, Vekis, and Zaven gathered around her.

"You're playing with the big boys now…" They sang with wicked glee.

Before Octavia could get up Uliath took hold of her with his magic, dragging her along the floor at a rapid pace. "You're playing with the big boys now!" They all sang as he sent her high up in the air as the silhouettes chanted like Vekis and Zaven had at the beginning, only to let her go to allow her to fall.

"You're playing with the big boys now…" They all continued to sing as Erathius caught Octavia with his magic about five to six feet from her hitting the ground while the silhouettes continued to chant their respective names.

"None would ever be glad to meet ya." Vekis sang as he looked at her with disgust, slapping her.

"You'll never be a true Goetia." Zaven sang as he spat at her.

"Let this be an example to you now." Erathius sang as he simply let her fall onto the floor.

As Octavia tried to get up via her hands and knees Vilius walked up to her. "Pick up your silly self girl." He sang as he kicked her back down while she was still trying to get up, sending Octavia tumbling a bit.

"You're playing with the big boys now." They all sang before laughing wickedly, the silhouettes coming off the walls and surrounding Octavia as they did so.

The silhouettes leered at Octavia as they chanted their names, Paimon's lifting Octavia up and glaring at her before simply tossing against the door. Octavia let out a yelp as her back hit against the door, landing with a thud. She tried to get up once more, struggling as Galphor and Erathius used their magic to pin her by her hands and feet respectively against the door. This was an utter nightmare, dread and despair filled Octavia's heart as she looked at her tormentors, Vekis and Zaven grinning as they conjured up hellsnakes in their hands.

"You're playing with the big boys now…" They sang in unison as they approached her. "You're playing with the big boys now." They continued to sing as they got right up in front of her. "By the authority granted us, you will kneel before us, kneel to our superior power." Vekis and Zaven sang as the snakes coiled and slithered around Octavia before they and the Silhouettes disappeared.

Uliath took full control over her and sent her flying towards him only to stop her a few inches away. "You put up a front."

Erathius took control and brought her close to him. "You tried to put up a fight."

Galphor then took control and brought her over to him. "But just to show we're not all spite."

Vilius then took hold as he brought Octavia over to where he was. "You can be our acolyte."

"But first girl is time to bow." Astravos sang as he brought Octavia to the center of the room where they had circled around her.

"Bow down!" They all sang as they all used their magic to slam Octavia against the floor and pin her there.

"For it's the only way you'll survive girl." They all sang as they closed in on Octavia. "You're playing with the big boys, playing with the big boys-" They began to chant as they started to circle around Octavia, spitting and smearing dirt on her with their magic, they weren't above kicking her either as they continued to chant more quicker and more zealously. "Playing with the big boys now!" The culminated after a good few seconds of torturing Octavia.

They glared down at Octavia as she laid their curled up, sniffling and on the verge of tears. "Look at this sorry sight, and she dares to call herself a Goetia." Vekis remarked as he looked down at Octavia. "She truly is as big a disgrace as her father."

"Not that her mother is too much better from what I heard." Galphor remarked. "She had the simplest job of all, the only job given to ALL female Goetia, and she sees to have failed even at that."

"I'm surprised that Paimon hasn't wiped them out and started from scratch already." Erathius commented.

"No one's without some improvement." Astravos chimed in. "Perhaps he sees in his infinite wisdom a slight chance for a course correction, a last chance before doing so."

"More than likely, though that black mark will always be there when it comes to their past failures." Vilius said as he kicked Octavia.

"Yes, but they would serve as a fitting example of what happens when a family in the Goetias fail to live up to the standards set of ALL Goetias. Shame it had to be an example from his own lineage but what better example is there to show that none are exempt?" Astravos mused as he knelt down and cupped Octavia's face. "You should be prostrating yourself in gratitude to Paimon that he did not wipe you from the face of hell along with your mother. Hell, I'm surprised he didn't decide to just let your father die. But, examples are always useful." He added before firmly and roughly shoving Octavia's face against the floor.

"Yes, at least they can serve in that capacity, though I would not be surprised if they somehow manage to fail even in that." Vekis remarked.

"I wouldn't put it past them to fail and be wiped out." Erathius commented. "It's clear from their recent failures they're just inept, not even worth being called Goetias."

"Honestly it's kind of insulting that they're called Goetias with how catastrophic their failures have been." Uliath remarked. "Not even a president has failed this spectacularly in their expectations." He added.

"Do you think we've done enough?" Zaven asked.

"Hmm, I don't think so…" Vekis mused as he grabbed Octavia by her hair, lifting her by it.

"I suggest you stop what you're doing and leave the senorita alone." Came a voice that caught the groups attention, their heads turning to see it's owner, the voice itself belonging to a hawk-eagle based Goetia of the same age. He was a two toned candy apple red and crimson, a bit on the vibrant side with dark green that could be confused with emerald and gold, his eyes were a light magenta that could be confused for pink. The male Goetia was also adorned in the usual formal attire, a red shirt with gold and pearl white pants. "Let go of her, NOW." He practically ordered as he looked at them with contemptuous anger.

"And who are you to order US around?" Galphor asked indignantly. "I don't recall seeing you with the others."

"Wait, I recognize him…" Vekis said as he let go of Octavia to where she fell onto the floor, she struggled to look up and watch as Vekis walked over to the other Goetia. "You're part of the security detail, nothing more than a mere knight in rank and job. Hell, you're not even a full knight at that, the son of presidents." He added. "You've got some balls to order us around, boy." Vekis remarked as he got up in the other Goetia's face.

"Rank is not everything when it comes to skill and honor, as you and your amigos clearly display by ganging up on a senorita. I suggest you apologize to her inmediatamente y salir. Or, I will be forced to have to humiliate all of you and force you to leave." The hawk-eagle Goetia said as he looked Vekis dead on.

Vekis laughed in the other Goetia's face as the others laughed as well. "You are delusional if you think you can tell us what to do or threaten us. You are but one knight, a Goetia one step above our lowest rank who hails from the lowest of our ranks. You are NOTHING compared to us, your betters, in terms of power and skill."

The hawk-eagle Goetia just continued to look at Vekis, completely unphased by him. "As those of the more common lifestyle would put it…" He said as he got in close to Vekis, narrowing his eyes as he did. "prueba me, puta perro."
