Chapter 7

World-shattering Power

Planet Kerubo was surprisingly similar to Earth with its blue skies and lush greenery. The place where Bulla landed their spaceship was a hill surrounded by green grass. In the distance, a large volcano can be seen.

"So this is Planet Kerubo, huh? Not bad," Vegeta remarked as he dropped to the ground, looking around him.

"It looks very much like Earth," Goten commented. "This reminds me of the place where dad used to train me."

"Yeah," Vegeta agreed. "Once we retrieve the Dragon Ball, let's stay for a moment to train."

Goten turned to Vegeta with an incredulous gaze, his jaw dropped to the ground out of his disbelief. "Eh?!"

Vegeta gave him a mischievous smirk that made his adorable, young face quite terrifying–for a child. "Why? It's a nice place to do some training and stretch our legs for a bit."

Goten's brows twitched and he took a few steps back, obviously terrified at the thought of the gruesome training Vegeta would put him through once again. "But… But…"

Vegeta talked as if all they did inside that spaceship as they traveled these past few days was to idle. That wasn't true at all. There was a Gravity Room within the ship and Vegeta would lock himself inside it for most of the trip. Sometimes, he would also drag Goten with him whenever he found him not doing anything. Bulla would occasionally join them too, but since Vegeta was soft towards his daughter, her training under him was lighter. He taught her the basics of self-defense, of ki sensing and ki usage. That was all. She learned pretty quickly, perhaps she inherited her father's fighting genius or her mother's intelligence. Both Vegeta and Bulma were pretty fast learners after all.

Vegeta towards Goten though, the Prince does push him to his very limits. Even if Vegeta was turned into his child self, he was still a formidable fighter. Being a battle prodigy, he quickly adapted to his lack of range and balance, and hopefully soon, he could learn how to properly control his Super Saiyan powers and instincts. He doesn't show mercy towards Goten even during training sessions. Until Kakarot's son does puke blood or cannot move a finger any longer, Vegeta won't stop beating the living daylights out of him. Good thing Vegeta brought a stock of senzu beans with him and that medical machine he developed along with his Research and Development Team at Capsule Corporation for faster medications of physical injuries and rejuvenation.

Vegeta's words were true about how surviving those injuries made him exponentially stronger than before. Goten wondered if the Prince was working on making him as strong as he could possibly be.

"Don't be such a wimp, Son Goten. I will not tolerate a Saiyan who cannot take a few beatings. Look at it as a way for you to grow stronger and improve yourself. Remember that among the three of us, you have the highest battle power."

Goten turned to Vegeta, surprised at what he was telling him.

"As much as I hate to admit it, I have to depend on you and your power for now. It's not because I want you to defend me, I can do it by myself. But you, in my place, should protect my daughter while I'm occupied with things, such as an enemy like Ledgic. At my current state, you're stronger than I am right now… That is, of course, if you put your mind into it."

Vegeta turned his head to gaze up to Goten and he continued, "Your big brother, Son Gohan, had quite the potential, but his lack of proper motivation has made him soft. However, once his power explodes in a fit of uncontrollable rage, he unleashes a devastating power that far surpasses that of pure-blooded Saiyans like myself and your father. When a pure-blooded Saiyan mates with an Earthling, they create a hybrid with extraordinary power and potential. Just as your older brother, you have the same potential within you, Goten. That is what I want to see from you."

"But, Vegeta-san, even in that state, you are still a force to be reckoned with. You remain as capable as you once were." Goten reasoned.

"Heh! Don't be so complacent about that, boy," Vegeta snorted. "You haven't seen anything yet. The Imeckans were weak and foolish. Ledgic wasn't being serious during our fight because he was only testing me out while Don Kia was nothing but a spineless coward. We haven't met warriors who are willing to kill for their own survival or victory. There are plenty of them across the Universe, and with my reputation as the Legendary Destroyer of Worlds, who knows when we will run into an old and problematic enemy who wants some sort of revenge against me. If word spreads that I have returned after thirty years of disappearance, I'm sure that there will be an all-out war against me. So, I want you to be ready in case we run into them. I didn't want you to slow me down when I have to protect you both myself and fight my enemies at the same time."

"Vegeta-san…"

Just as Goten thought earlier, Vegeta wanted to make him as powerful as he can possibly be. Goten always saw Vegeta as a strong, proud, stern, and a very intimidating man. It must have hurt his pride that he had to ask Goten to do this for him, to protect his precious daughter, and also depend on his strength just because he wasn't strong enough yet.

"I promised Bulma before we left that I will try my best not to cause too much trouble. That I will no longer be the cold and ruthless Destroyer of Worlds and planetary invader who I used to be. That I will focus on simply gathering the Black-Star Dragon Balls and once we're done with that mission, we will return to Earth without any worries," Vegeta continued. "But what happened on Planet Imecka made me realize that there are fights that I cannot avoid. So with that, let's think ahead of what's in store for us and prepare ourselves. We're only just beginning with our hunt for our first Dragon Ball. Do you understand what I'm telling you?"

Goten nodded, "Y-Yes!"

Vegeta smirked at him before he turned his head towards the direction of their spaceship where they left Bulla alone to finish her 'OOTD' or 'Outfit of the Day' thing, like he knows whatever that waste of time is.

"Hurry up, Bulla!" he shouted, getting quite impatient at his daughter taking a long time

"Yes, papa! Just give me a moment!" Bulla responded quickly, knowing that her father's patience was already running thin.

A few moments later, Bulla dropped to the ground with the robot, Giru, following her. She was now donning a new outfit, consisting of a Chinese-inspired dress and pants. The dress was a long-sleeved, knee-length garment with mandarin collar, reminiscent of a traditional yet simplified qipao. The sleeves end in yellow tassels. The main color of the dress is pastel blue, while the bottom hem and the collar were bubblegum pink. It was also adorned by pink lotus flower designs, arranged symmetrically on the front.

Her pants were loose-fitted, wide-legged trousers that fell to the ankles. It has the same blue color as the dress but the cuffs by the bottom were pink. It also has yellow tassels at the bottom of each leg.

On her head was a pink flower clip. Her long blue hair tied into twin braids.

She looks so cute, both Vegeta and Goten thought as they watched Bulla press a button underneath the ship, encapsulating it inside a Hoi-Poi Capsule, which she stored in a small hard-case in her knapsack bag.

Vegeta turned to the floating robot next to his daughter, "Now, lead us to the Dragon Ball, you stinking bucket of bolts!"

Bulla leaned down on her now smaller-than-her father, "Papa! His name is Giru. Gi-ru!" she corrected him.

Vegeta turned away with a bored look, "Ah… So you gave it a name?"

"Yes," Bulla answered, pressing her hand over her puny-sized child-like father's chubby cheeks to force him to look at her as she spoke. "And Giru is a male robot, so you should address him as such. I thought it would be more convenient for him to have a name, and since he's repeatedly saying Giru, I named him after that."

"Uh… Great," Vegeta mumbled in disinterest. He gently pushed his daughter's hands off him, "Tch! You're just like your mother," he grumbled as he rubbed his cheeks.

Bulla giggled cheerfully, "And just like you, I don't like people turning their backs on me when I'm talking."

"Hmph! I do what I want, girl. Don't tell me what to do," Vegeta told her coldly. It was a lie though, since Bulla always had her father wrapped around her fingers.

"So Giru, lead us to the Dragon Ball," Vegeta ordered the now Dragon Ball navigating robot.

"Giru… Giru… Giru… Giru is scanning the area. The location of the Dragon Ball is about 78.3 kilometers Northeast of this direction. Giru will lead you there. Expect to find a village of the planet's natives there."

Vegeta, Bulla, and Goten followed Giru into a village where they found several Keruboians lamenting about something. Their odd appearance caused the villagers to stare in their direction but they didn't welcome them openly. They were afraid of them.

Bulla initially thought that perhaps, the reason they were acting so fearful was because they recognized who Vegeta was. But the terrified whispers about a certain 'Zoonama' caught her attention. They were thinking if Zoonama was among these three alien visitors, disguising as one of them.

Feeling uncomfortable about these people's behavior, Bulla knew she had to ask what their problem was but her father grabbed her wrist before she could question a villager.

"Have you listened to what I told you on Planet Imecka, girl? Not all problems are ours to handle. Let them be and let's just take the Dragon Ball," Vegeta hissed at her.

"But papa, if the Dragon Ball is in these people's possession, we can't just take it off their hands by force. I think it would be a good idea if we help them and get the Dragon Ball as a reward. We don't want a repeat of what happened on Planet Imecka where we were accused as thieves."

Vegeta's jaw twitched. He knew his daughter was right about that so he reluctantly let her go and do what she wanted.

Bulla approached one villager and greeted him with a gentle smile, "Hi!"

The villager, a tall, young man about Goten's age, looked at her oddly at first, "Uhm… Hello?" he awkwardly replied with a sheepish smile.

"You see, we're visitors from a planet far far away and we were searching for something that was particularly within your village when we noticed that you seem to have a problem here. What's going on?" she asked.

The other villagers gathered around them, curious about the friendly girl. There were about twenty of them, composed of young and old Keruboians, but she noticed they were mostly male and the older females.

"You're not Zoonama's minions, aren't you?" asked one old woman, a tone of doubt and suspicion in her voice.

"Zoonama? Who is that?"

The villagers exchanged glances at first before one of them spoke up.

"Well, you see… A giant cat-fish monster with otherworldly power is terrorizing our village. He takes away our young women and makes them his bride. If we don't give him what he wants, he threatens that he will destroy our village and kill us all by causing a massive killer earthquake. Last week, he specifically chose our Princess Renu to be an offering and become his next bride. However, she is already betrothed to this young man over here, Doma," the old woman gestured her hand to the man she was referring to.

"That's terrible," Goten commented.

Doma, a tall, handsome, muscular, and dark-skinned man spoke up, "He's about to return anytime soon and I'm not about to let him take away my future bride!" he said with fervent determination, not until he lowered his eyes and fell into despair. "But… I'm not sure if I'm strong enough to protect her and the village. Zoonama's wrath is fearsome and legendary. No one is capable of putting that monster down!"

"Oh… I see. So that's what happened here," Bulla said. She suddenly straightened up, put her fists over her hips, puffed up her chest, and raised her chin as she proudly declared, "Alright. I guess you should thank your lucky stars that we arrived on this planet just in time! Hahahahahaha!"

The confused villagers stared at her like she just grew a second head.

"What do you mean, young lady?" asked one of the elderly women carefully.

"You see, before you stand the very being feared by even the mightiest warriors across the Universe, whose name sends a shiver down to the spines of those who hear it. The legendary warrior with destructive power enough to destroy entire worlds and burn whole civilizations down to the ground! The Legendary Destroyer of—mmmmmphh! Mmmmph!"

Vegeta pulled his daughter back, clasping a hand over her mouth. "Oi, Bulla! Enough of this!" he hissed at her ear. He turned to the villager, grinning and laughing awkwardly while his daughter struggled against his grasp. "Ignore what she just said. This girl's a bit crazy in the head—"

Bulla pushed her father's hand off her, "–What are you saying, papa?! Don't you want to prove yourself as the Legendary Destro—ooomph! Mmmmmph!"

"You talk too much, girl. Come and let's just leave. Goten, let's go."

Goten scratched the back of his head and awkwardly excused himself away from the villagers as he followed Vegeta and Bulla.

As Vegeta dragged Bulla away from the village, the people began whispering amongst themselves.

"Legendary what?"

"Did she just say Legendary Destroyer? Does she pertain to the Legendary Destroyer of Worlds?!"

"The Legendary Destroyer of Worlds? That notorious ruthless Saiyan warrior who disappeared over thirty years ago?"

"Who? Was she pertaining to that young boy?"

"That's right! That flame-shaped hair and those mean-looking eyes. You! You are the Saiyan Prince, aren't you?! Vegeta-sama!" an elderly man said.

Hearing his name, Vegeta halted his footsteps, dropping the protesting Bulla on the ground. Bulla quickly got up, and repeatedly nodded at the villagers with a wide, excited smile.

Vegeta sneered to himself, giving his daughter an annoyed side glance. Bulla wasn't aware of this as she kept on nodding her head like she was some bobble-head figure, and with a wide smile that made her look like an idiot in Vegeta's eyes.

"Damn it, Bulla. Why does she have to run that mouth of hers?" he thought. "This girl is going to get me into bigger troubles than I originally thought she would. She'll be the death of me one day."

He turned around to give the villagers a fierce and intimidating glare, "That's right. So, you heard about me?" he asked balefully.

The atmosphere suddenly became menacing as his expression darkened into an ominous look. Even without letting his Saiyan power out, Vegeta's fearsome presence could emit enough pressure to effortlessly terrify people and it effectively frightened the villagers around him.

It was a silent warning: Leave me alone. Don't get in my way. If you do, I'll make you regret it with your life.

Yet, despite being scared to death, they swallowed their fear. Yes, they heard of the fearsome reputation of the Legendary Destroyer of Worlds and how ruthless and wicked he could become. But they also heard about his great power and tactical intelligence. If they could enlist his help to defeat Zoonama, they could save the beautiful young village ladies the monster abducted from them, and also protect Princess Renu.

The village leader, the one who recognized Vegeta, Datu Rahn, stepped up and fell down to his knees.

"Please help us, your highness!" he begged. "I promise I will do anything you want, Vegeta-sama. Just please! Please save our village from Zoonama!"

The rest of the villagers present also dropped to their knees.

"We implore you to help us! Please! We beg of you!"

Vegeta blinked his eyes, surprised that despite his quiet warning, this old man and his people decided to ignore their fear of him and put up a brave front and then, shamelessly ask for his help, thinking he would just agree to offer his assistance like he was some good citizen.

They must be pretty desperate.

Vegeta sneered to himself, Why the hell am I being dragged into these worthless problems?

"Of course, he'll do it! Right, papa?" Bulla suddenly answered, a pompous smirk upon her lips.

"Wha—?! Oi, Bulla! That's not your decision to make!" Vegeta protested.

But his daughter wasn't listening, she was already with the villagers, pulling the elder up to help him rise to his feet, "Please stand up. You don't need to beg him. My papa will do it, don't worry. I'm sure he is excited to show off his legendary prowess and prove his reputation to all of us!"

Confused, the villagers stared at her, "Your papa?"

"—Hey, are you even listening, girl?!" Vegeta was yelling in the background but his daughter continued to ignore him.

Bulla turned to him, giving him a beautiful smile and a mischievous wink, "Papa! Go ahead and show off! Demonstrate to these people what the infamous Legendary Destroyer of Worlds can do! Beat that Zoonama and show him who should be feared around here! Aren't you the most powerful warrior in the Universe?! Now is your chance to prove it! You don't want to miss this chance!" she urged him.

Vegeta slumped his shoulders forward, a tired and defeated look upon his expression. His daughter was just like him. She knew his weaknesses were his pride and ego, and she used that knowledge to make him do whatever she wanted him to do. She also reminds him much of Bulma who uses her charm and wits to get what she wants.

Once a widely feared ruthless invader and cruel warrior, Vegeta is now a father who's wrapped around his daughter's fingers.

Victory for Bulla!

"Ugh… Fine… Whatever," Vegeta sighed in resignation, dragging his feet to approach the villagers and deal with them and their problem, grumbling alien curses under his breath.

The villagers, emboldened by Bulla's confidence and Vegeta's grudging agreement to help, eagerly shared their tale of woe once again, detailing Zoonama's abilities and weakness. Zoonama, they explained, was a giant catfish-like creature with immense strength and the ability to manipulate earth tremors. He was particularly vulnerable to attacks that used high-frequency vibrations, but his thick scales made physical attacks largely ineffective. He also had a strange obsession with collecting beautiful women as brides.

Upon hearing that, Vegeta was quick to analyze and formulate a battle plan.

High-frequency vibrations, huh? He smirked. He could do that. He just needed to figure out the optimal frequency to disrupt Zoonama's control over the earth tremors and counter them.

Vegeta, ever the pragmatist, doesn't rely on blind luck and mere strength in battle. He knew that simply blasting Zoonama with random vibrations or ki blasts wouldn't work. Based on the descriptions the villagers provided, the creature's immense power and thick scales meant a precise, targeted approach was necessary. He needed to pinpoint the exact frequency that would disrupt Zoonama's control over the earth tremors without harming the surrounding area.

To do that, he has to meet this monster and observe his powers from a distance. He was told that Zoonama will be coming soon to take his chosen new bride, Princess Renu, and Vegeta thought that it's a perfect time to do so.

"I'll do it!" Bulla volunteered.

"Hey!" Vegeta protested. "Stand down, Bulla! You will not do anything! Let me take care of this!"

"You needed to know where Zoonama's lair is, correct? Then allow me to lead you and Goten there."

"No, I will not allow that bastard to take you away from me! Do you understand?!"

"Geez, papa. Relax. It's not like I'm marrying him or anything…" Bulla assured him with a grunt.

With Vegeta overreacting that way, she began to wonder if she'll even have a boyfriend or get married as long as her father lives. Vegeta was very overprotective towards her. She could imagine a poor guy dealing with Vegeta's shorter-than-his-already-short-height temper and fearsome wrath if he ever dared lay a finger on a single strand of her hair.

"Don't worry about me, papa! I know that you will always come and save me!" she winked.

Vegeta relented with a defeated sigh. He was truly displeased that his daughter was doing this dangerous thing, but he also couldn't help but feel proud about her confidence and bravery.

Finally, it was time for Zoonama's arrival. Tremors began to shake the ground as the behemoth cat-fish-like monster appeared before the terrified villagers.

Bulla, disguising herself as the princess, patiently waited outside her home. Vegeta and Goten were not far away, standing on a tree branch where Zoonama wouldn't notice their presence.

It was a good thing that Zoonama was stupid enough not to notice any difference. He was greatly pleased to collect his new bride and he surprisingly held up his hand to gently carry her back to his lair.

Vegeta, who was practically fuming at the sight of his precious daughter being taken away by that monster, told Goten to quickly pursue them with him. The tiny Saiyan Prince and Goku's second son moved like silent predators as they followed Zoonama's trail. Vegeta was on edge, his ki senses locked into his surroundings, prepared to analyze Zoonama's power as soon as he made his supposedly devastating move.

Which the monster never did.

Zoonama was surprisingly in a good mood that day after he retrieved a new bride for himself, who turned out to be his favorite [for now], so he wasn't about to make earthquakes anytime soon.

Vegeta and Goten observed from behind a rock as Zoonama talked to Bulla about his day. Bulla tried her best to listen to every word without getting bored while Vegeta was slowly losing patience on the sidelines. How long would it take for this stupid monster to make his attack? He doesn't have all day to wait!

Bored, Vegeta telepathically ordered Goten to rescue the women Zoonama was keeping further within the cave. Goten obeyed his command and carefully snuck behind Zoonama while Bulla distracted the monster who kept on yapping about his day.

Some time later, Zoonama got bored and he decided that it was enough story time. It's about time for him to unwrap his new bride. Bulla instinctively slapped his hand off her when he tried touching her.

"Woah! You're a feisty one, aren't you?" Zoonama grinned. "Heh! I like that!"

"Stop it, Zoonama! Don't you dare lay a finger on me or my father will never forgive you for it."

The monster laughed, "You mean your puny weakling of a father? What can he even do to me? I'm invincible! He can't do anything to me, that's why he surrendered your pathetic life to me!"

"I… That's not what I mean!"

"Then what do you mean by that, my sweet little Renu?"

"Are you stupid or what? You still haven't realized it, have you?" Bulla asked him.

"What? What did you just call me?!"

"I said you are stupid, and ugly, and weak!" Bulla said, finally removing her black wig, revealing her long blue hair.

"You—you're not Princess Renu!" Zoonama gasped in surprise.

Bulla smiled impishly, "That's right! Have you finally realized your foolishness, Zoonama–?!"

"—but you're more beautiful than Princess Renu, and feistier. I like you better. Well, isn't this my lucky day?"

Zoonama giggled, making kisses in the air. Bulla shuddered at those long, thick lips trying to kiss her.

"Eek! Get away from me! Papaaaa!"

"Who are you calling? Your papa isn't here. This place is just for the two of us to make love."

Bulla turned her eyes to the direction of her father. Wasn't he supposed to save her in this situation? Why was he watching this like it's a TV show?

What are you doing, papa?! Bulla sent this telepathic message to her father.

Vegeta responded with a mere instruction, Tell him about me. Make him use his power to show off.

Eh?! B-But—!

Just do as I say, girl!

Bulla cringed at first before she did her best to retain her calm yet fierce composure from earlier and straightened up.

"Zoonama! This is your final warning! If you dare come near me again, I swear my father will never forgive you for this…" she declared.

Zoonama only cackled out loud, "Hahahaha! You keep on saying things about your father. I may not know who he is but I'm sure that he is another weakling, powerless against my ability!"

"You wish, Zoonama! Didn't you know that my father is the infamous Legendary Destroyer of Worlds?!"

"Legendary what?" Zoonama stifled a laugh.

"The Legendary Destroyer of Worlds! The warrior feared by many across the Universe for his ruthless reputation and destructive power that can easily obliterate entire worlds with a flick of his finger!"

"Ah… The warrior of legend, the Destroyer of Worlds. Hahahaha! Nice try, but I fear no legend. They're just made up stories created to instill fear to the scaredy-cats. A non-existent legend means nothing to me, who can make the grounds of this planet tremble and feel my wrath!"

Finally, Zoonama strummed his huge whiskers on the sides of his snout and indeed, the ground beneath them rumbled in great intensity.

Finally! The moment the Prince of all Saiyans was waiting for!

Vegeta closed his eyes, focusing intently, letting his ki flow, sensing and analyzing the precise frequency of Zoonama's earth-manipulating power. Zoonama's power was palpable, a tangible wave of seismic energy that vibrated through the ground. It was a complex waveform, a chaotic symphony of destructive energy, but within the chaos, Vegeta discerned the dominant frequency – the key to disrupting Zoonama's control.

This wasn't a simple matter of brute force; this required precision. Vegeta wouldn't just attack; he would counter this the next moment Zoonama would use his power. The Saiyan Prince would use his ki to create a resonant counter-frequency, a wave that would interfere with Zoonama's control, causing a disruptive feedback loop.

As he carefully analyzed the frequencies and Zoonama's energy, he realized something was amiss.

"Heh! I see it now!" he thought with a smirk.

Once the quaking stopped, Vegeta finally spoke, "Is this really all the destructive power you have, huh, Zoonama?! I can't say I'm impressed."

Zoonama turned to find a tiny child with flame-shaped hair sitting rather innocently on a top of a tall rock. A lofty smile upon his lips and a playful spark in his dark eyes.

"Huh? What is a little boy like you doing here?" Zoonama asked.

"I came here to retrieve my precious daughter. Take her back and I might spare you from great humiliation," Vegeta warned the monster.

Zoonama laughed boisterously, "A threat coming from such a brat?! Are you actually trying to be funny? Hahahaha!"

"Halt your laughter, Zoonama. Before you stand the notorious Legendary Destroyer of Worlds. You better watch what you say or how you act around him," Bulla stated.

Zoonama indeed stopped laughing, blinking his eyes. "The Legendary Destroyer of Worlds? This tiny brat? Nice joke! Hahahahahaha! Right, let's say he is indeed the infamous destroyer of worlds. So what? With that puny size, he can't do anything to me!"

This time, it was Vegeta's turn to chuckle, "Is that so? Why don't you try me again."

The moment Zoonama began to unleash another tremor, Vegeta acted. He unleashed a focused burst of ki across the ground from underneath his boots. It was invisible yet potent, resonating at the precise counter-frequency. The effect was immediate. The ground beneath Zoonama buckled, the tremor becoming erratic, uncontrolled. The creature roared in frustration, its attempts to maintain its seismic control turning against it.

"What's this?! Impossible! A mere petite child shouldn't have enough energy to do such a thing!" Zoonama gasped.

"I see that you truly are stupid," Vegeta told him. "Do you still not believe who's standing right before you? Should I demonstrate to you what true destructive power is?"

Before Zoonama could respond, Vegeta released his ki, his massive blue aura erupting around his small frame, generating a shockwave that greatly affected his surroundings.

Vegeta let out a continuous roar as he started powering up. The ground beneath his feet and the cave they were in began to shake as if in fear of the power the Legendary Destroyer of Worlds was emitting.

Zoonama could only stare in pure, utter horror. The power this young boy was emitting was intense, destructive, and terrifying. He cannot believe how such a small body could contain that massive amount of devastating energy. It was only then he finally recalled the stories he heard from the villagers a very long time ago about this warrior who was greatly feared for his sheer ruthlessness and cataclysmic powers, one who was believed to have a foreboding ability to end worlds on a whim. A creature whose name brought immense dread and panic through entire civilizations across the Universe.

If he remembered correctly, the exact words he heard from a visitor who brought the warning:

Inspire the wrath of the Legendary Destroyer of Worlds and your world shall suffer utter destruction without mercy.

That level of power. That black spiky hair shaped like a blazing flame, those intimidating eyes, and that direful presence… There's no doubt about it.

"You… You can't be him! Impossible! The Prince of all Saiyans, Vegeta Yonsei, supposedly disappeared from existence thirty years ago! How… Why have you returned?!"

"Finally, you managed to see and accept who is standing before you," Vegeta told him, the tendrils of his blue aura dispersing around him like a flame fading away as he powered down. "I don't know where you heard those stories but I never actually disappeared. I just… Let's say I just had a vacation, a break from all the death and destruction I caused all those years ago."

"And this girl is indeed your daughter?"

"Yeah."

"But she looks nothing like you!"

"I thought you'd say that. She took a lot of her appearance from her mother, but the blood flowing through her veins, her pride, feistiness, attitude, strength, and her fighting spirit are all mine. Bulla, care to demonstrate?"

Bulla nodded as she threw a powerful punch on Zoonama's gut, sending him barreling backwards and crashing to the other end of the cave. Vegeta laughed.

"Yeowch!" Zoonama whined, rubbing at his abdomen where Bulla hit him. "Okay, I believe you. Goodness gracious! She is indeed your daughter. That punch packed some serious power."

"Hmph! You should be thankful that I'm still holding back!" Bulla declared, causing Zoonama to pale in fear.

"What?!"

"Now you see, Zoonama?" Vegeta asked him, dropping down next to his daughter. Goten followed him behind, reporting that he was done with what Vegeta ordered him to do earlier. Zoonama could only stare at the Prince and his companion helplessly, unable to say anything about how the ladies he had collected had been liberated and returned to their families. Vegeta acknowledged Goten's work with just a simple word:

"Good."

"I can't believe that you, of all people, have a family now. How bizarre." Zoonama mumbled, picking himself up.

Vegeta's eyes narrowed and his voice lowered dangerously, "What? You have a problem with that?"

Zoonama immediately recoiled and waved his hands in front of him, "Uh… No! No, Vegeta-sama! Please take your daughter back and spare me! I promise I won't make any more trouble! I will return the ladies I took from the villagers too! I'll do anything you want!" Zoonama shrieked.

Vegeta glowered at him before he gave him a bored look, mumbling, "Hmph! You spineless coward," he grumbled. The villagers who feared this monster had more guts than this pathetic fool. Then he raised his voice, speaking with authority and power. "Fine, and you better stop lying about having such devastating powers, Zoonama. You know very well that you don't have any."

"Eh?! Is that true?" Bulla and Goten turned to Vegeta, completely stunned by this revelation.

Zoonama's lips quivered, feeling utterly humiliated. He looked like he was about to cry, and his eyes lowered in shame as he admitted to the deed.

"You're right. I was only predicting earthquakes and used that to terrorize the villagers. It's not true that I can create earthquakes and all that. But how did you know that?"

"I've been using my own ki to cause such a phenomena whenever I power-up in order to intimidate so I know exactly how it works. When you demonstrated your 'power' earlier, I analysed the seismic activity patterns and your own energy, that's how I found out that the two energies aren't connected at all. The cause of the earthquakes wasn't you but that volcano above us that's about to erupt any minute now," Vegeta explained.

"Eh?! It's going to erupt soon?!" Goten and Bulla screeched.

"Yeah, it seems my power-up earlier caused it to react to my ki—"

"Papa! You could have said anything about that sooner!" Bulla screamed as she started running for her life. Zoonama and Goten followed her both panicking as well.

Vegeta suddenly found himself alone from within the cave, "Hey, wait! Don't leave without me! Bulla! Goten!" he yelled, chasing after them.

As soon as he stepped out of the cave, Mount Kerubo erupted just as he predicted, causing Vegeta to leapt into the sky and burst his speed faster. The Saiyan trio were flying in the air, dodging the flying rocks, lava, magma, and pume the volcano spewed in its fury, but Zoonama found himself left behind. Its massive body couldn't keep up with the speed. Not far away, in Princess Renu's village, the villagers also began to panic when they found Zoonama running to their direction, screaming for them to run for their lives. Confused at what was happening and seeing the cause of the explosion, the villagers fled in terror.

Realizing that the rocks were dropping down on the village like comets, Goten turned around and started vaporizing it. Bulla couldn't do anything to help as she doesn't know how to create blasts yet.

"Bulla!" Vegeta called her attention. "Go ahead! You can do it! Concentrate your ki into your palms and visualize what you want to do with it. Project it the way you wish for it to become," he instructed her.

"Yes, papa!"

Bulla listened to her father's instructions and did as he told her. She closed her eyes, summoning the Saiyan power she inherited from her father's blood and focused it on her palms. She could feel it. An electrifying but pleasurable sensation running through her skin, gathering at her palms. Beside her, Vegeta observed her ministrations, a proud smirk upon his lips at seeing how his daughter easily learns well.

"Now, release it!" he ordered.

Bulla snapped her blue eyes open and fired a pink energy blast towards an upcoming rock the size of a bowling ball. It collided with the blazing stone, causing it to be reduced into smaller debris.

"Hah! I did it, papa! Yaaay!" Bulla declared happily like she just won the sweepstakes.

Vegeta simply gave her a proud smirk which silently told her, That's my baby girl.

"Good job. Now, go and help Goten—"

"Papa!" Bulla called her father out in horror, pointing at Mount Kerubo. From its mouth flowed hot, boiling magma that's moving towards the nearby villages with incredible speed.

She turned to her father and pleaded with him to do something about it. "Please, papa! Please save the villagers!" she begged, grasping his shoulders and shaking him.

Vegeta stared up to his daughter, wanting to tell her that it's not his job to save these people from a natural disaster (which his own destructive power triggered), but one look at her blue eyes about to shed tears caused him to relent and do as she asked him. He also realized that he had to do it because who knows where that damn Dragon Ball is within that stupid village?

"Fine, so long as they give us the Dragon Ball in exchange for me sparing their pathetic lives," he grumbled.

Vegeta blasted off into the skies to come closer to Mount Kerubo. He put his hands forward, with his left palm over the back of his right, then twisted his body to the left side, curled his fingers, and placed both hands together at chest level. At the palm of his right hand, purple energy began to gather into an electrifying orb sparking with black lightning. His blue aura burst to life and gradually changed color into purple, signifying the power of destruction being charged. Suddenly, the clouds above him swirled and blackened as he powered up.

"Galick Gun!"

Vegeta yelled as he thrusted his hands forward, the energy orb he gathered exploding into a purple destructive blast that's similar to an electromagnetic canon. A boisterous sound of thunder rocked through the surroundings, sending electrifying vibrations in the air.

Vegeta's Galick Gun pierced through Mount Kerubo before it detonated the entire volcano and its surrounding area along its magma, lava, rocks, pumes, and whatever it kept on poured along with its wrath earlier, into nothingness, leaving a barren wasteland in its place.

Everyone who witnessed this gaped in both awe and terror at what just happened. They looked at Vegeta, who was still floating in the sky, looking down at his work of devastation with a proud smirk.

"...What destructive force…" they gasped in awe and terror.

And to think that Vegeta still wasn't at his full power yet, was weakened by the transformation into a child, and was in his base form… There's no doubt about it. He could definitely destroy this entire world whenever he felt like it, and easily that's for sure.

No wonder why he was so feared by many across the Universe. The Legendary Destroyer of Worlds, the one whose name brought shivers down the spines of even the mightiest warriors. The one whose wrath shouldn't ever ever be riled up by anyone.

Nobody would ever want to be on this Saiyan's bad side...

No one…

…Except for his only daughter.

"Papa! Do you really have to completely obliterate the volcano like that?!" Bulla shouted at him when he finally descended into the ground where she, Goten, and the villagers evacuated.

"What are you being mad about, girl? I did what you wanted. I helped these people, saved them, twice. At least, that permanently solved their problem," Vegeta told her.

"Still, that's a bit too much!"

"I overdid it, I know, but weren't you the one who wanted me to show off what I could do? Don't worry much about it. It's just a little volcano that I destroyed, not their entire planet. They're lucky and should be thankful for that."

Suddenly, the village leader fell down to his knees, followed by his family, and the other villagers as well. Even Zoonama did, and so as the women Goten rescued from the monster's clutches and were safely returned to their families.

The sight of the villagers made Bulla and Goten gasp in astonishment at the sight of these people falling down to their knees and bowing down before the Prince of all Saiyans. They quickly felt awkward and they turned to Vegeta, who was gazing down at the submissive people before him.

"Vegeta-sama, we don't know how we could thank you for what you did. Our lives were saved and we will be forever grateful to you for what you did for us. If you are still looking to conquering worlds as you did before, we will undoubtedly pledge our undying loyalty to you—"

"—What are you talking about, old man? I don't need that." Vegeta said, quickly dismissing the elder's words.

The kneeling villagers quickly raised their heads, a stunned expression upon their faces. "Eh?!"

Vegeta, losing his patience, snapped back at the village elder angrily, shouting furiously, "Did you honestly think that I'm still into that, old man?! If I were here to conquer this planet, I wouldn't waste my time doing this stupidity and simply proceed to destroy all of you the very moment I laid my eyes upon you!"

"Papa! Don't be so mad. They're just trying to repay you for what you did," Bulla told him.

"Tch!" Vegeta gritted his teeth together, shutting his eyes and letting out a sharp exhale. Bulla apologized to the villagers for her father's sudden loss of temper.

Now calmer, he continued, pulling his daughter back, and saying in a lower, calmer tone of voice, "I'm saying I'm already done with those planet-conquering days. I have no need for your loyalty or whatever you plan to offer me. Plus, I didn't do it because I wanted to help you or anything. If you should feel grateful to anyone, thank my daughter and our companion. They're young but they're your real heroes, the ones who actually saved you, not me."

The villagers turned to Bulla and Goten, and nodded. The two hybrid Saiyans approached them and politely told them to stand up with a kind smile.

"Yes, we have no need for your loyalty, but we do need something else. So if it's okay, could we take it as a reward?" Bulla asked.

The villagers looked at each other, and asked, "Whatever you like, young lady."

Bulla pointed at the hair ornament at the end of Princess Renu's braided hair. There was the Six-Star Dragon Ball.

"That thing. That is actually the reason why we came all the way in here," Bulla declared.

"Of course! Of course! It is yours, young princess," grinned Princess Renu, pulling the Dragon Ball off her hair and handing it over Bulla.

Bulla blinked, "Princess?"

"Yes, you are. After all, you are the brave, strong, and confident daughter of the proud Prince of all Saiyans, right?"

Bulla's smile widened, "Yes, I am!"

"Stand proud, Princess Bulla. Keep getting stronger and make your father proud of you."

Bulla giggle at that. "Yeah! Thank you, Princess Renu!"

"You two, young lad. You are a fine warrior with a pure gentle heart. I'm sure that you will make a great fighter someday," Doma told Goten.

"Really? Thanks!" Goten said with an awkward smile, timidly scratching the back of his head.

"And who knows, maybe you two could be together. I mean, look at the both of you, you look great together!" an elderly villager suggested jokingly.

Bulla and Goten's faces suddenly reddened and then Vegeta's proud smirk suddenly melted into a frown. He pushed himself in between Bulla and Goten, yelling, "That will not happen so long as I am alive!"

The villagers blinked at him before they suddenly laughed at his cute, sweet reaction to his daughter being paired up with a guy. Such an overprotective father he turned out to be. Who would have known that they were laughing at one of the most feared beings across the Universe?

Vegeta was about to retaliate when Bulla and Goten joined in the guffawing.

"Papa! Why are you so mad? Oh, you're so cute! Hahahaha!"

"I don't know if I should be offended or what, but that look on your face–"

"What?" Vegeta's voice was deep, cold, and threatening, his face darkening with a malevolent expression while he gave Goten his death glare.

Next to Bulla, Giru started to whine, "Danger! Danger! Vegeta's wrath is seething to threatening levels. Vegeta's rage is peaking–"

"—Shut up!"

"Eep! Giru! Giru! Giru! Vegeta-sama is scaring Giru! Help me, Bulla! Giru! Giru! Giru!"

Vegeta suddenly grabbed Goten by the back of his shirt's collar and unceremoniously dragged him away, while Bulla tried to hug the terrified robot who was clearly afraid of the Legendary Destroyer of Worlds.

"Ah… Aaahh… Wait, Vegeta-san, where are you taking me?! I'm sorry. I didn't mean to–" Goten whined.

"Have you forgotten what I told you when we landed here? Now that we have retrieved the Dragon Ball, we are going to start training again. And we will not stop until you are puking blood!" Vegeta reminded him.

"What?! No! Aaah! Bulla, help me!"

Bulla bid her goodbye to the villagers before following her elementary-sized father and their family friend who was crying out for help, with Giru hesitating behind her.
