Convergence of Souls
Arc 1: Chunin Exams
Chapter 2: The Tenth Question & Forest of Death!
"And with that," the man declared, "Let the Chunin Exams begin!"
The Chunin Exam testing room was electric with anticipation. Rows of Genin from various villages filled the room, their collective anxiety palpable in the dimly lit space. The scent of fresh paper and the faint, metallic tang of nervous sweat created a heady mix.
Sasuto Uchimaki, disguised as Naruto through transformation jutsu, sat calmly, his eyes—hidden behind Naruto's façade—sharpened by his Sharingan's linked vision. Beside him, another blood clone, this one masquerading as Sasuke, maintained a stoic demeanor. Sakura sat next to them, her expression a blend of focus and apprehension.
The room buzzed with nervous energy as test papers were distributed. Sasuto, though appearing as Naruto, worked through the questions with the combined intellect of both Naruto and Sasuke. His Sharingan's linked vision allowed him to navigate the complex questions with ease.
Minutes passed, and the proctor's footsteps echoed as he checked on the candidates. Tension was visible in the room as some participants fidgeted, their eyes darting around nervously.
At the 45-minute mark, the proctor's voice cut through the silence. "Attention! The tenth question will now be announced. This is the most important question and determines if you pass or not.
A murmur of confusion and curiosity grew louder. The proctor continued, "You have only two options: stay and take the question but ultimately risk failing it and never moving up ranks to Chunin or walk out now and come back in 6 months."
Sasuto, still in Naruto's guise, felt the weight of the moment. He glanced at Sakura, who gave him an encouraging nod. The proctor began distributing sealed envelopes
A murmur of shock and disbelief rippled through the room. Sasuto's eyes, hidden behind Naruto's disguise, were steely. His Sharingan's linked vision with the Sasuke clone allowed him to sense the collective anxiety.
Around him, teams began to react. Some hesitated, glancing at their teammates and then at the door. The proctor's gaze was unwavering, his presence imposing.
Sasuto remained silent, deeply contemplating the implications of the question. The challenge was not just to answer but to act under pressure, revealing the true nature of each participant's resolve.
As time ticked away, the room's atmosphere grew heavier. The proctor's eyes were sharp as he observed the reactions. Teams that failed to muster the courage to stay and take the risk began to leave, disqualified by their own reluctance.
The proctor's voice finally broke the silence. "Time is up. Any team that chose to leave the room has been disqualified."
Sasuto, in his Naruto disguise, felt a surge of relief as the remaining Genin were left standing. The proctor's gaze swept over the participants, his expression inscrutable.
Sakura turned to Sasuto, her eyes wide. "You stayed silent. You didn't make some speech on becoming Hokage and giving everyone confidence."
Sasuto, maintaining his Naruto façade, nodded. "Yes. Sometimes, the greatest test is to see who has the resolve to face the challenge." Sakura had to remember that these wise words were probably Sasuke's.
The proctor's voice echoed through the hall. "Congratulations to those who remain. You have passed the first stage of the Chunin Exams. Prepare yourselves for the next phase."
As the room began to clear, the remaining Genin, a mix of relief and anxiety, were suddenly startled by a deafening crash. The window to the hall shattered in a flurry of glass, and a figure burst through with alarming speed.
"Yosh! Good job making it this far!" Anko Mitarashi's voice rang out, her presence both intimidating and exhilarating. Her tan cloak fluttered dramatically as she landed gracefully on the floor, a mischievous grin on her face. "I'm Anko Mitarashi, and I'll be your proctor for the next stage!"
The room fell silent again, the Genin staring at Anko in stunned silence. Her entrance had broken the tension, but now a new excitement filled the air.
Sasuto, momentarily taken aback, refocused on the challenge ahead. The first stage was over, but the real trials were just beginning. With the blood clone still maintaining the Sasuke disguise beside him, Sasuto steeled himself for whatever came next.
The Second Stage of the Chunin Exams began with a rush of anticipation as the remaining Genin, now down to 60 participants, gathered around Anko Mitarashi. Her sharp eyes scanned the crowd as she outlined the rules.
"Welcome to the Second Stage," Anko declared, her voice carrying an authoritative edge. "You will each receive a scroll—either an Earth Scroll or a Heaven Scroll. Your objective is to collect the other type of scroll and make it to the center of the Forest of Death within five days. If you don't make it within the time limit, you fail. Remember, teamwork and strategy are crucial. Good luck."
Sasuto Uchimaki, camouflaged as Naruto with his blood clone taking on the guise of Sasuke, received their Heaven Scroll. With a nod, he discreetly handed it to Sakura, his tone hushed but serious. "Here, take this scroll. If anything happens to me—or to the blood clone—you need to keep this safe. We're in this together."
Sakura, her face reflecting a mix of determination and worry, accepted the scroll with a firm nod. "Got it. Just be careful out there."
Anko's countdown echoed in the now lively air, the signal that the second stage had officially begun. The Genin swiftly dispersed, each team setting off into the dense, ominous forest.
The sun began its descent, casting long shadows through the towering trees. Team Seven—Sasuto, in his Naruto disguise, and the Sasuke blood clone—trudged through the forest, their spirits waning as they failed to find any Earth Scrolls. They had encountered three different teams, each in possession of a Heaven Scroll like theirs, but none of the coveted Earth Scrolls.
Sasuto, whose impatience mirrored Naruto's typical frustrations, let out an exasperated groan. "Ughhh! This is taking forever!" His voice, despite the Naruto disguise, carried the unmistakable edge of frustration.
Sakura, her patience wearing thin, shot a sharp look at both Sasuke and Naruto. "You know, Sasuto, I'm getting really tired of this constant complaining. Can you two just shut up for a while? I need a break from the endless noise."
The Naruto and Sasuke disguises fell silent, their expressions comically shocked. Sasuto and his blood clone exchanged bewildered glances. "Oh, okay," they responded in unison, their voices a mix of surprise and resignation.
Sakura sighed heavily, her irritation evident. "I'm going to take a quick walk. Stay here and keep quiet."
As Sakura walked off into the forest, seeking a moment of solitude, Sasuto and his blood clone sat down on a nearby log. The forest was eerily quiet, save for the distant rustling of leaves and the occasional chirp of a bird. The two sat in an uneasy silence, the air thick with the weight of their predicament.
Minutes ticked by slowly. Sasuto, focusing on his enhanced senses from the Sharingan, kept alert for any signs of danger or other teams. However, the tranquility was abruptly shattered by a piercing scream—a sound unmistakably coming from Sakura.
"Sakura!" Sasuto's voice, tinged with alarm, broke the silence as he and the blood clone sprang to their feet. They exchanged a frantic glance before sprinting in the direction of the scream, their hearts pounding in their chests.
The forest loomed dark and foreboding around them, the urgency of the situation driving them forward. As they pushed through the underbrush, Sasuto's mind raced, grappling with the implications of Sakura's distress.
Their journey through the forest had just become infinitely more perilous, and they had no choice but to confront whatever danger awaited them.
As the two appeared they seen Sakura being tormented by three mist Shinobi. Sasuke and Naruto charged in at the three Shinobi. Sakura felt grateful that her friend came through for her so quickly. As they beat the mist Shinobi, they retrieved an Earth Scroll.
"All right!" Sasuto celebrated through his Sasuke clone. To anyone watching, Sasuke would be acting out of character, but Sakura and the Naruto clone laughed at Sasuto's behavior.
They decided to make camp and rest for the remainder of the night.
Finally on the third day, they journeyed towards the center, hoping to finish this second phase of the Chunin Exams.
Naruto wandered a few meters away from the camp to relieve himself, his steps muffled by the dense foliage of the Forest of Death. "I'll be back in a minute," he called out casually to Sakura and the Sasuke clone before disappearing behind a cluster of trees.
As Naruto finished his business, he suddenly felt a sinister presence.
"What the heck?!" he yelled, his voice barely audible over the rustling leaves. A massive snake emerged from the undergrowth, its jaws gaping wide. Before Naruto could react, the serpent struck, swallowing him whole in one swift motion.
Inside the snake's belly, Naruto's heart raced. He had no time to waste.
Summoning his shadow clones, he commanded them to launch an explosive escape. The powerful blast shattered the snake's insides, commanded them to launch an explosive escape. The powerful blast shattered the snake's insides, sending the beast reeling and expelling Naruto into the forest floor.
Disheveled but determined, Naruto quickly regrouped, his senses heightened by the Sharingan's linked vision with his other half.
He sprinted back to where Sakura and the Sasuke clone were stationed, his eyes sharp with urgency. The scene that greeted him was grim. The Sasuke clone was engaged in a fierce battle with a group of Grass ninja, while Sakura lay unconscious, a shadow of her former self.
The real Sasuke was struggling, his chakra reserves depleting rapidly as he fought off his opponents. The Grass ninja's relentless assault was pushing him to his limits. "Dammit!
Where are you, other half?" Sasuke thought desperately, his frustration mounting as he barely managed to fend off the enemies.
Just as the Grass ninja prepared for a final assault, Naruto burst onto the scene. "Think you could just leave us out of this fight?" he challenged, his Sharingan blazing defiantly. The Grass ninja turned, startled by the intensity in Naruto's eyes.
"How do you possess a Sharingan?" the Grass ninja demanded, confusion and concern evident in her voice.
Naruto grinned. "Fire Style: Double Giant Fireball Jutsu!" he and the Sasuke clone chanted in unison. Two colossal fireballs erupted from their mouths, converging in a blazing inferno that engulfed their foe. The Grass ninja's face began to melt under the searing heat, but instead of retreating, she laughed maniacally.
"Fascinating! It's almost as if you're two halves of a whole," she remarked, her voice dripping with malicious glee.
Naruto and the Sasuke clone exchanged uneasy glances. "Is she onto us?" they wondered in unison.
Their fears were confirmed when the Grass ninja began to peel away her disguise, revealing a grotesque figure beneath. "You're... Orochimaru!" they gasped together, recognition dawning.
Orochimaru's eerie smile widened.
"So, tell me, how are you both so synchronized? Even the Legendary Sannin couldn't achieve such a feat."
The sight of Orochimaru's unsettling appearance and the mention of the earrings caught his attention. "What are those earrings you're wearing?" Orochimaru inquired, a glint of curiosity in his eyes
Naruto, feeling the pressure, responded defiantly, "It doesn't matter!"
As Naruto's Sharingan pupils transformed into slits, Orochimaru's eyes narrowed in realization. "So, the Kyubi's chakra is awakening in you too," he mused, turning his attention to Sasuke, who was also displaying similar symptoms. "How intriguing.
Could it affect my curse mark?"
With swift precision, Orochimaru attacked Naruto with a Five Elemental Seal, a technique designed to disrupt the Tailed Beast's chakra. Naruto screamed in agony, the pain radiating through his entire being. Sasuke, connected through the blood clone, mirrored the pain, writhing on the ground. Orochimaru's sinister grin grew wider. "So this affects Sasuke as well? Could he be a vessel for the Nine Tails?"
Suddenly, Naruto vanished from Orochimaru's sight, only for a new figure to emerge where Sasuke had been. The boy, now sporting both earrings, stood confidently.
"НАНАНА! All right!" he exclaimed with a sense of pride. "I'm the greatest Genin in this whole exam!"
Orochimaru's eyes widened in shock as the boy's speed took him by surprise. A powerful punch connected with his jaw, leaving him momentarily stunned. "Who are you?" Orochimaru demanded, noticing the active Sharingan but no longer seeing the slits in the boy's eyes.
Before Orochimaru could react further, Sasuto's body was slammed with a powerful punch to the stomach, causing him to vomit.
"Ahhh!" he cried out, clutching his stomach as the Five Elemental Seal took its toll. Orochimaru's smirk grew wider, noting Sasuto's eyes reverting to their indigo color.
As Orochimaru finished placing the cursed mark on Sasuto's neck, the sound of approaching footsteps alerted him to the presence of Anbu and Anko. His snake-like eyes narrowed with irritation, realizing that his plans could be jeopardized if he lingered any longer. With a sinister grin, he tossed a scroll towards the unconscious Sasuto, now more vulnerable than ever. "A gift," Orochimaru sneered before vanishing into the shadows, retreating to ensure his schemes remained intact.
Sakura, trembling with fear and adrenaline, rushed to Sasuto's side. His body lay limp on the forest floor, his face pale and contorted in pain. She knelt beside him, her hands shaking as she tried to rouse him. "Sasuto… wake up, please!" she whispered desperately, but there was no response. The boy, who was once the formidable fusion of Naruto and Sasuke, was now reduced to a fragile state, leaving Sakura to bear the burden of their safety.
"Dammit, Sasuto, you're so heavy!" Sakura muttered under her breath as she strained to lift him. Every muscle in her body protested as she dragged him away from the clearing. The dense forest seemed to close in around her, the eerie silence amplifying her sense of dread. Each step felt like an eternity, her legs trembling under the weight of Sasuto and the crushing pressure of the situation. Sweat dripped down her face as she pushed forward, her breath ragged and shallow.
She finally spotted a tree with a hollowed-out base, offering the only semblance of shelter in this hostile environment. Gritting her teeth, Sakura forced herself to move faster, her arms burning with effort. She stumbled the last few steps, nearly collapsing as she pulled Sasuto into the hollow. The darkness of the small space enveloped them, but there was no time for relief.
Sakura examined Sasuto, her fingers brushing against the ominous mark now etched into his neck. The skin around it was raw, pulsating with an unnatural energy. How in the world did this happen? she thought, her heart sinking with every passing second. The moment her fingers touched the mark, Sasuto's body jerked violently, a pained groan escaping his lips. Sakura recoiled in shock, her mind racing. "Whatever it is… it's hurting him," she realized, fear gripping her tightly.
Time passed agonizingly slowly. The forest outside remained unnervingly quiet, but Sakura's nerves were on edge, her senses heightened by the adrenaline coursing through her veins. Two hours felt like two days, every rustle of leaves or snap of a twig sending her heart into her throat. She kept glancing at Sasuto, hoping for any sign of recovery, but his condition remained unchanged.
Suddenly, the silence was broken by the sound of footsteps crunching through the underbrush. Sakura's blood ran cold as she peeked out from the hollow. Her eyes widened in horror as she recognized the figures moving through the trees—the Sound Village team. Their predatory eyes scanned the area, clearly on the hunt. "They must be looking for us," Sakura realized with a jolt of terror. Panic surged through her as she turned back to Sasuto, who was still unconscious and utterly defenseless.
Dammit, Sasuto isn't awake yet. What should I do?Sakura's mind raced as she tried to formulate a plan. Fear clawed at her insides, threatening to paralyze her, but she knew she couldn't afford to falter now. The sound of the Sound team drawing closer filled her ears, each step they took echoing like a death knell.
She clenched her fists, her nails digging into her palms as she fought to steady her breathing. "This is what they would do," she told herself, forcing the fear out of her mind. Naruto and Sasuke—no, Sasuto—had always faced danger head-on, never backing down. She couldn't let them down now.
The Sound team was almost upon her hiding spot. She could see them clearly now, their malicious grins and the weapons they wielded with casual confidence. Sakura's heart pounded in her chest, but something deep inside her shifted. A steely resolve began to take hold, pushing aside the fear and uncertainty. She wasn't just a weakling who needed protection—she was a ninja, and she was part of this team.
Drawing in a deep breath, Sakura rose from the hollow, her hands trembling slightly but her gaze firm. She stepped out into the open, blocking the path of the Sound team. The sight of her standing alone seemed to surprise them, and for a moment, there was a tense silence.
"I won't let you touch him!" Sakura declared, her voice clear and strong despite the terror still lurking in her heart. The words seemed to embolden her, and she squared her shoulders, ready to face whatever came next. She might not be as strong or skilled as Sasuto, but she would fight with everything she had to protect him.
The Sound ninja sneered, clearly unimpressed by Sakura's bravado, but there was a flicker of caution in their eyes. They hadn't expected such defiance from someone they perceived as weak. As they prepared to attack, Sakura's mind sharpened with a single, burning thought, I will protect Sasuto, no matter what.
Sakura sat slumped against the hollowed-out tree, her breath still ragged from the exhausting task of dragging Sasuto to safety. The oppressive humidity of the Forest of Death clung to her, beads of sweat rolling down her forehead and soaking into her clothes. Every muscle in her body screamed in protest, but she forced herself to stay alert, her senses on high alert for any signs of danger.
The eerie silence of the forest was suddenly broken by the faint sound of footsteps, and Sakura's heart lurched in her chest. She scrambled to her feet, her legs trembling with fatigue as she peeked out from behind the thick foliage. Her blood ran cold when she spotted the three figures moving stealthily through the trees—the Sound Team.
Dosu, Zaku, and Kin closed in on her position with grim determination. Dosu, the leader, with his bandaged arm and hidden face, exuded an air of menace that made Sakura's stomach twist in knots. Zaku, with his wild eyes and brash demeanor, cracked his knuckles, clearly eager for a fight. Kin followed closely behind, her cold, calculating gaze fixed on the spot where Sakura hid.
Drawing a kunai from her pouch, Sakura stepped out into the open, blocking the path to the tree where Sasuto lay unconscious. Her grip on the weapon was tight, her knuckles white as she stared down the three approaching enemies.
"Well, well, look who decided to be brave," Zaku sneered, a cruel smile tugging at the corners of his mouth.
"We're here for your scroll," Dosu said in his low, gravelly voice. "But I suppose we'll have to deal with you first."
Sakura swallowed hard, her heart pounding in her ears. She could smell the damp earth beneath her feet, feel the rough bark of the tree at her back. The fear was suffocating, but she forced herself to stand her ground.
"I won't let you touch Sasuto!" she shouted, hoping her voice didn't betray the terror she felt.
Zaku laughed, a harsh sound that echoed through the trees. "Big words for a little girl. Let's see if you can back them up."
Before Sakura could react, Zaku charged at her with blinding speed. She barely managed to block his initial strike with her kunai, but the force of the blow sent her stumbling backward. Zaku followed up with a swift kick to her midsection, and Sakura cried out as she was knocked to the ground, the wind driven from her lungs.
Gasping for breath, she tried to get back up, but Dosu was already upon her. He loomed over her, his bandaged arm raised menacingly.
"Too slow," he muttered, before bringing his arm down with a forceful swipe.
The air around Sakura vibrated with an ominous hum, and suddenly her world exploded into pain. It felt like her skull was being crushed from the inside, a sickening ringing in her ears as Dosu's sound wave jutsu overwhelmed her senses. She screamed in agony, clutching her head as she writhed on the ground.
"Pathetic," Kin remarked, her voice dripping with disdain. "She doesn't stand a chance."
Tears streamed down Sakura's face as she struggled to push herself up, but her body wouldn't respond. She could barely see through the haze of pain, her vision blurred and darkening at the edges. I can't… I can't let it end like this… she thought desperately.
Unbeknownst to the Sound Team, a trio of figures watched from the cover of the trees nearby. Shikamaru, Choji, and Ino, Team Asuma, had been observing the brutal beatdown with growing unease. Shikamaru's brow furrowed as he assessed the situation, his sharp mind working through possible strategies.
"She's getting destroyed out there," Choji whispered, his voice laced with concern.
"Naruto or Sasuke will come to her rescue.." Ino had spoke softly. She prayed that someone would intervene.
"Of course she is getting destroyed," Shikamaru muttered, "She's up against three enemies by herself. This is such a drag…"
Ino's eyes were locked on Sakura, a mix of anger and worry swirling within her. Despite their rivalry, she couldn't just stand by and watch her former friend get beaten senseless.
"Shikamaru, we have to do something!" Ino urged, her voice trembling with urgency.
Shikamaru sighed, knowing what Ino was about to ask of them. It was risky, and he hated getting involved in other people's messes, but they couldn't just ignore what was happening.
"Troublesome," he muttered, before nodding to Choji and Ino. "Alright, let's go. But don't do anything stupid, Ino."
With a determined nod, Ino led the charge, bursting out of the underbrush with Choji and Shikamaru right behind her. They barreled into the clearing where Sakura was being mercilessly attacked, catching the Sound Team off guard.
Zaku turned just in time to see Ino's fist flying toward his face. He barely dodged in time, but Ino didn't let up, launching a flurry of punches and kicks in his direction. Shikamaru immediately moved to intercept Kin, using his Shadow Possession Jutsu to keep her at bay, while Choji squared off against Dosu, using his massive size to shield Sakura from further harm.
"Ino, what are you doing here?" Sakura gasped, barely able to lift her head.
"We're here to help you, forehead!" Ino shot back, her tone a mix of irritation and concern. "Just hang in there!"
Despite their best efforts, it quickly became clear that Team Asuma was outmatched. Dosu, Zaku, and Kin were seasoned fighters, and even though Team 10 was giving it their all, the Sound Team was relentless. Zaku managed to break free from Ino's assault, landing a powerful blow to her stomach that sent her crashing into the ground.
Shikamaru was struggling to maintain his jutsu, his chakra reserves depleting rapidly as Kin resisted his control. Choji, despite his best efforts, was no match for Dosu's brutal tactics. The situation was dire, and the fear was palpable in the air.
Just as the Sound Team prepared to deliver the final blow, a green blur shot into the clearing, knocking Zaku off his feet. Rock Lee landed gracefully, his eyes blazing with determination as he faced off against the Sound Team.
"Leave them alone," Lee demanded, his voice steady and filled with resolve.
Dosu sneered at the newcomer, unimpressed. "Another one? You Konoha ninja just keep crawling out of the woodwork."
Lee wasted no time, launching himself at Dosu with a speed that took the Sound ninja by surprise. His fists and feet moved like lightning, delivering a series of powerful strikes that forced Dosu onto the defensive. Zaku and Kin quickly joined the fray, but Lee's taijutsu prowess was formidable, and he managed to hold his own against all three opponents.
Sakura watched in awe and desperation as Lee fought valiantly, his unwavering spirit inspiring a flicker of hope within her. But as the battle raged on, it became clear that even Lee couldn't keep up the pace forever. The Sound Team began to adapt to his movements, and the tide of the battle slowly started to turn against him.
Suddenly, a dark, oppressive energy filled the clearing, stopping everyone in their tracks. The air grew thick with an unnatural aura, and a cold shiver ran down Sakura's spine. She turned her gaze toward the hollowed tree where Sasuto lay, her heart pounding in her chest.
Sasuto began to stir. His body twitched, and the cursed mark on his neck flared to life, spreading like dark tendrils across his skin. His eyes snapped open, but they weren't the familiar eyes of Naruto or Sasuke—they were something far more sinister. The sclera darkened, and the Sharingan glowed with a malevolent intensity.
A low growl escaped Sasuto's lips as he rose to his feet, the cursed mark warping his chakra and body. The pressure in the air intensified, and everyone—Sound Team, Team Asuma, and Lee—felt an overwhelming sense of dread wash over them.
"What… what is this power?" Dosu muttered, his voice trembling for the first time.
Even Kabuto, lurking in the shadows, narrowed his eyes in interest. So the curse mark has awakened… this could be most intriguing…
Sasuto's transformation completed, his appearance had changed. He had black markings all over his body, he continually leaked chakra that held dense air around him, and the aura surrounding him was suffocating, like the breath of death itself.
The boy looked at the injured Sakura and spoke sinisterly, "Sakura, who did that to you?" Everyone tensed as the power behind this boy's voice grew. She pointed at Zaku before she collapsed completely on the ground.
With an inhuman speed, Sasuto moved, appearing directly in front of Zaku before the Sound ninja could even react. Sasuto's hand shot out, gripping Zaku by the throat and lifting him off the ground effortlessly.
Zaku's eyes bulged in terror as he struggled to breathe, his hands clawing uselessly at Sasuto's iron grip. The others watched in stunned silence, unable to comprehend the sheer power radiating from Sasuto.
"Sasuke… Naruto… no… who are you?" Zaku choked out, barely able to form the words.
Sasuto tilted his head, a cruel smirk twisting his lips. "I am neither, however, for you I am the end."
With a flick of his wrist, Sasuto hurled Zaku across the clearing, sending him crashing into a tree with a sickening thud. The impact left Zaku unconscious, his body crumpled in a heap at the base of the tree.
Kin, paralyzed with fear, took a step back, her eyes wide as she tried to process what she was seeing. "Th-this is the power Orochimaru-sama gave to this boy?" she muttered to herself. She fell to her knees, hoping for a chance to be spared. Dosu, shaken but determined, attempted to launch another sound wave attack, but Sasuto was on him in an instant, dodging the attack with terrifying ease.
"You're nothing," Sasuto snarled, delivering a devastating punch to Dosu's midsection that sent him flying.
The forest was eerily silent in the aftermath, the only sound the ragged breathing of those still conscious. Sasuto stood at the center of the chaos, his malevolent aura still pulsing with dark energy.
Ino, Shikamaru, Choji, and Lee could only watch in horror as this new boy they had never seen was consumed by something far more dangerous than they could have imagined. The fear in the air was palpable, thick enough to choke on. Sakura lost all her ability to speak.
But as quickly as it had appeared, the cursed mark's energy began to recede. Sasuto's twisted form wavered, the dark aura fading as his eyes flickered between the malevolent Sharingan and the more familiar indigo irises. He fell to his knees, clutching his head as the curse mark's influence battled with his own will.
"No… I won't let it control me…" Sasuto groaned, his voice strained with effort.
The cursed mark slowly retracted, retreating back into the mark on his neck. Sasuto's body returned to its normal state, the oppressive energy dissipating. He collapsed to the ground, unconscious once more, his breathing shallow but steady.
The clearing was left in stunned silence, the tension lingering in the air like a bad dream. No one moved, still grappling with what had just transpired. Sakura, her heart aching, crawled over to Sasuto's side, gently cradling his head in her lap.
"Sasuto… what have you become?" she whispered, tears welling in her eyes.
Ino, Shikamaru, Choji, and Lee slowly gathered around, each of them trying to come to terms with the terrifying power they had just witnessed.
"We need to get out of here," Shikamaru finally said, his voice uncharacteristically serious. "Before anything else happens, good luck Sakura."
With solemn nods, they began to move, gathering their strength to carry Sasuto and retreat from the clearing. The events of the day had left a deep scar on their hearts and minds, and the fear of what lay ahead loomed heavy over them all.
As they disappeared into the dense forest, the ominous silence returned, the shadows of the trees whispering of the dark power that had been unleashed—and the even greater threat that still lurked within.
Most of you are going to comment on how the Blood Clone Jutsu was disrupted, when I explained how the Jutsu is almost like a fall back plan to avoid death. However, not much is known when a Jinchuriki uses the Jutsu. The Elemental Seal disrupts the trigram seal on Naruto to stop him from accessing the Nine Tail's chakra. Since he has a link to his blood clone, therefore able to use both the Sharingan and Kyubi Chakra. Since Orochimaru cut off the chakra in one, then the other loses the ability to control the chakra as well. Basically how would Sasuto be able to use the Nine Tails Chakra once both halves merge together. Therefore I had to make sure there was yet another setback to using the blood clone.
Now that's been stated, I hoped you all enjoyed the read and are getting behind the story. As you can see Sasuto's biggest mistake is going to be his overconfidence. Now that he has been defeated by Orochimaru, he sees he must take control of himself and be someone who Naruto and Sasuke could be proud of.
